Kazura was slowly starting to be less interested in the Substitute Shinigami badge, seeing as that needed some red tape to get to him, and more interested in the Shinigami in front of him. As an incredibly intelligent man, nearly capable of finishing an MD and already having an RN license with his knowledge of the human body and healing, he was noticing some interesting psychological signs. He wasn't sure of what these signs were pointing to, but it was something that was mentally or physically off for the man to feel next to no emotions. Shifting into Doctor Kazura mode, a different drawer brought out a stethoscope, scalpel, and other healing tools.
"Do Shinigami have similar anatomies to humans? I could take a look at you, see what I can do."

Kazura got out of his chair and moved over to the seat next to Taien. He was a little giddy, as he was about to get full access to examine a patient that wasn't even human. If he actually kept records down, a medical journal would laugh him into the Asylum, but he knew what was real, even if they didn't. First, he used his stethoscope to verify a heartbeat, which was looking fine. He placed it over various parts of Taien's abdomen and instructed him to cough so that he could hear what was going on inside the lungs, heart, and other organs. As far as he could see, the Shinigami was in peak physical condition. Nothing wrong with him physically. However, mental issues don't always manifest physically, so he had to come up with some other way of examining his patient.
Kazura went to the side of the room, and as a panel slid out to reveal his battle suit he selected just the helmet. He popped the glasses out of it, bringing it back to the Shinigami. The glasses could always be reattached, but they were going to help Kazura since they had X-ray, heat, and reiatsu vision properties. Well, the reiatsu vision properties were lacking in application, but they might help. Heat vision revealed nothing special, the same with x-ray vision. All that Kazura could see was that Taien had no broken bones and had a normal internal body temperature.
"Alright, your physical condition is top notch. So either you're repressing your emotions because of some past trauma, which I doubt since you've never felt them, or this is something involving your... spiritual side. And while I may not fully know about the flow of reiatsu in a Plus, I have a feeling that the ancient practitioners of Martial Arts, especially Jujitsu and its art of Pressure points has a lot to do with the flow of energy that isn't just blood. So, if you would lay down on the floor or desk for me..."
If Taien opted for the desk, Kazura would rush to clear it off of the gifted items, sketches, and other various paperwork that was on it. If Taien opted for the floor, obviously Kazura wouldn't need to do that. And if Taien had a better idea, then he would think on that option as well.

Taien nodded with a hint of enthusiasm. This was something interesting, and it could be useful in diagnosing what was wrong with him, and by extension Kyomei-san, as well.
"Sure, one second."
So Taien flicked his hand at the desk, a tiny jolt of pain passing through him, as the combined Kidou of Sho and Tzuri Raiden manifested and floated the items off the desk without any effort, and neatly as well. Taien could appreciate well kept paperwork. Then he'd get on the table.

Taien opted for the table, waving his hand and using Kidou to neatly remove the things from the desk for Kazura. As he did so, he felt the slight twinge of pain, and as Kazura was paying more attention to the Shinigami than the desk, he noticed a slight bit of hesitation. Wasn't sure what it was, and definitely couldn't diagnose anything based on a little hesitation. So, as Taien got on the table, he moved past the symptom he saw and didn't recognize to move towards finding symptoms that -could- help him diagnose something.
"I just need you to exert your pressure, trying to emphasize your pressure points. The key ones are located in your temples, carotid arteries in your next, wrists, elbows, ankles, knees, and solar plexus. At least, I'm guessing that those will be they key spots where your reiatsu pools and emanates. I'll be honest, I've never examined reiatsu flow before, but I do understand physical anatomy quite well."
When Taien started to exert his pressure, of which Kazura could feel was immensely high, the fullbringer would start to pump out reiatsu himself using Energy Generate. Sure, it would make him tired over time, but it was worth it. He began to press into Taien's pressure points gently to feel the resistance. In the pressure points of the limbs and torso he felt a seemingly normal amount of resistance based on the large pressure that the Shinigami had, but as he worked his way up the body he began to feel a little alarmed. He pressed into the neck and temples and found an identical pressure pushing back as in the extremities and torso.
In humans, which have physical bodies, brain activity is based on electrical signals. Shinigami, who have spiritual bodies, might also have electrical signals that control that, but it would make sense that since their bodies are comprised of reiatsu made physical that their brains were also based a lot off of reiatsu. And since emotions were all based on the brain... It was completely possible that there was some mental interference going on. How you went about fixing that, though... "Worst case scenario, I'd stop by your medics who may know a little bit more about your body than I do, but I think I can imagine a prescription for you based on something you gave me just now."
Moving to the pile of things that had been moved by the Kidou, Kazura took the larger orb of pure reiatsu and brought it back over to the table. He had a feeling that this item would be key for a lot of research, and possibly a bit of healing as well. "Whoever makes these, try and get one that is not filled with reiatsu. Just an empty orb. Either bring it to me or bring it to your medics and get it crushed up and placed into capsules. We'll start you off at once a day, but I have a good feeling that if you continue to take that, any excess buildup of reiatsu in your body, especially your brain, will get absorbed by the material and excreted. That is... if you guys have waste. You may gradually notice some different feelings, hopefully not complete drowsiness, but you should start to feel more like a normal Plus with a full range of mental acuity if this therapy goes as planned."

Taien nodded.
"Right then, Mr. Uzaki. Thanks for the help, I'll get to work on your problem as soon as I can. Hope the stuff I gave ya will be useful, for now though, I have to get back to my vacation. And by that I mean making sure the Shinigami on Duty for Karakura are doing their jobs properly. Pleasure doing business with you, see ya later!."
And with that, the Hell Butterfly floated out of a wall, in to the floor Taien was standing on. Taien promptly sunk in to it, as if the ground suddenly was made of fast acting quicksand. He did cloak himself again with a Kyakko as he left, to make sure he didn't freak out anyone else.

Just as quickly as he had arrived, Taien left, floating through the floor while becoming invisible. Kazura gave a polite little wave, thinking to himself as the Shinigami left. If this therapy works... Who knows how this man will change...

[RESSURECTION NO JUTSU.]
The weeks since had been... Interesting. He'd been feeling flashes of something now and then, other than his usual feelings. It was weird, but he had a good feeling about it. A message had been delivered to him. Let's see...

Taien smiled, before responding back.
Interesting. I look forwards to whatever this discovery may bring you.
I have been feeling flashes of... something, throughout the weeks. Started off weakly, but they're somewhat gaining in strength. I have only good feelings about this.
With regards.

With such a prompt response, Kazura felt like it would only be fair for him to finally take a crack at that Cold Gun that he had been given, to see what could be done with it. He was pleased that his recommended therapy was working, and if was already getting stronger than it made sense to just continue the dose rather than increase it. And Taien seemed pleased with the progress, which was the true goal anyways. So, clearing off his workbench, Kazura got out his tools and the Cold Gun. To begin the process, he placed his palm over the weapon and generated reiatsu, pushing his essence into the gun to explore its inner workings, both physical and spiritual.
His technique, Trace, gave him great insight into the weapon. It was definitely enchanted with reiatsu, but it was something that the fullbringer could replicate with science quite easily. He just needed a catalyst for the chilling effect, and what better catalyst than Reiatsu? All he needed was a basic refrigeration coil, power it with reiatsu, and get rapid cooling. Sure, it would have the side effect of generating mass amounts of heat, but that too could be taken advantage of, right? Pulling out one of his MK IV Gauntlets and gutting it of all air storage and equipment, the fullbringer got to work immediately on adding a simple refrigeration coil.
The problem that the inventor ran into was that no gas could handle that level of freezing for too long, especially not in the close proximity of the heat that was being stored. The gauntlet couldn't easily be switched from heat to cold without damaging the coil and the housing itself. The gas expansion and contraction really screwed with the structure and compromised the integrity of the equipment. So he had to find an alternative. As he though of physical, mortal options he had a realization... If he had a problem that these physical components weren't good enough, why not improve them into spiritual components?
Using his Reiatsu circuits, and a normal refrigeration coil of mortal limits, Kazura generated reiatsu and poured the substance through the circuits. He gave it form, and then condensed it. He collected the new liquid reiatsu inside little refrigerated tubes which he then filled his Gauntlet with. It worked like a charm. By forcing reiatsu through the weapon he could lower the temperature and using a modified air cannon shoot out a blast of cold air, but by doing so he generated and stored heat, which could also be fired through the air cannon. It was a great success, and one he was proud to tell Taien about. It hadn't even needed Lacrima technology, which was something else that the Shinigami should probably know about. Maybe.

In addition, research into the previous Reiatsu Orb has led to some interesting findings which would only be discussed in person.

Another message, quite quickly sent, appeared for him. Taien blinked. Well. Things were moving along nicely, it appeared. He smiled as he read the message. Seemed like Kazura had gotten some use out of the old Cold Gun after all, classified as being... 'found'. It wasn't wrong, exactly. Still, Taien appreciated the anonymity Kazura was going with. He typed another response up shortly after.
Excellent work.
When would be most convinent for you? My schedule is rather free, for the most part.
Further changes will be recorded and reported as they occur.
With regards.

Kazura set up a meeting time for the following week and prepared for Taien's arrival. He prepared for an early arrival, as that seemed to be the Shinigami's style. When Taien came into the office, whether it was by ghosting through the walls or (more civilly) using the front desk and the receptionist, he would be greeted with chunks of rock on the table, as well as some wires and the Tundra Gauntlet MK I. Mostly basic representations of Kazura's work. The true technology and research that had needed the secrecy, the Lacrima Crafting, however, remained out of sight in a drawer. Kazura would not yet show the Shinigami that until he had proven himself trustworthy of the secret.
After all, it could be the difference between life and death.

"Next week, huh? That'll work..."
Taien murmured to himself, replying with an affirmative. That said and done, Taien prepared himself for the coming meeting. He went over how the last one had gone, mentally, and strived to see how he could do better. It wasn't like he'd left making a bad impression, but encouraging the growth of positive relationships was always something that he could get behind. He could probably go in the same way he came i-
'No, wait. Hmm. That's an... odd feeling. ... Not through the roof, then?'
Through the front door it was then. Actually, it might do well for him to procure a Gigai for the meeting. Going to the human on more even grounds, if only just, might be more polite. Show him that he didn't mind going without his powers or some such. Or would that be a bad idea? ... One way to find out, unfortunately.
Time passed quickly, slight changes popped up, and all around, Taien was pumped for the meeting. He'd gotten a regular Gigai procured, with a rather simple ensamble of clothing purchased from the Human World, and made his way to Kazura's building. Upon doing that, he had a slight chat with the receptionist as she paged him in, and he ascended up to Kazura's ... Loft. Place. Thing. Anyway. As he entered, he observed a few things. One being Kazura himself. Two, there were various assorted rocks, along with a gauntlet of some sort.
"Mr. Uzaki. Glad to see you're in good health. You mentioned something about something that needed to be seen in person?"

Well, he cuts right to the point... Kazura was stunned by the transformation that just a few weeks had made. Taien was in a proper gigai, walked through the front door, even made small talk about the fullbringer's health. It was fascinating, but he was still the same man inside, the same man who could get right down to business, apparently. In the back of his mind, the inventor still didn't want to just pull out his secret of Lacrima crafting, so he'd continue on the spiel that he had planned before. "Good to see you, Taien. I've got a few samples of my work to show you."
"That Cold Gun was fascinating. You may have it back if you wish, since I didn't tamper with it, but I did examine it and come up with this Tundra Gauntlet. Just as you can have a hot desert and a cold one, so too can this gauntlet fire cold and heat. And I've made some leaps and bounds in technology with that reiatsu orb. Materials that can conduct reiatsu just as easily as electricity make designing equipment much easier, for sure!" Kazura kept up his friendly smile. He was worried about someone judging his Lacrima, especially someone who didn't understand. And with Taien now fully capable of feeling emotions, potentially unstably so, what would he think? But the inventor kept up his guise that nothing was wrong. He could do that much, at least.

"Good to see you, Taien. I've got a few samples of my work to show you."
Taien nodded, a slight smile still etched on his face, as Kazura began to explain in detail what the things he had on the desk. It'd be interesting to hear, at the very least.

Taien blinked, nodding along with the developments. Though...
"You can keep the Gun, might be able to use it for something later or some such. If not, well, think of it as a gift of good will. The Tundra Gauntlet, and stuff with the Reiatsu orb, sound interesting as well, and I look forward to seeing what else you can make from it. But..."
Taien trailed off, cocking his head to the side.
"Maybe I'm missing something here, but, while ground breaking in the sense that it'll help you make more things more easily, it doesn't seem like the kind of information that only would be discussed in private."
A raised eyebrow.
"Unless the rocks on your desk are a part of that? Or, do you have some other thing you developed, but wish to hold back on at the moment?"
Taien blinked as he realized something else.
"Come to think of it, you didn't answer me on how you were feeling. Are you not well? Is that why you look so tense? And why your smile seems kind of forced?"
Despite the line of inquiry, there was no heat, no malice behind his words. Simple curiosity and a touch of concern for his human friend. Assuming Kazura thought of him as such, which he wasn't quite certain of, but did kind of secretly hope so.

OOC: A couple cinematic uses of Soul Command coming up, since this is a social. Kazura would not be able to do these things in combat to this degree.
Kazura was slightly confused. Yeah, Taien hit some of the points right on the head, but others of his points were quite a bit confusing. For example... "I'm sorry, I must have misheard you. I don't remember you asking me how I was doing, merely you commenting on my health. I'm doing well, though my research has been troubling of late. That's why I asked you here in private. Please, sit down so we can have a little privacy." Once Taien sat down, the fullbringer would start working on making his office perfectly secure from prying eyes and burning ears.
The camera in the corner of Kazura's office had a small USB plugged into it, which flashed green for a few moments while Kazura waved his hands like he was talking about something. Then, the light on the camera went off as the fullbringer manipulated the technology with Soul Command. He simply had taken a recording of the room, then plugged in his device that sent a continuous loop of the recording to the security office. With more uses of Soul Command, as well as a use of Soul Dominance, Kazura turned off the audio recorders as well as formed a vacuum in front of the door. If someone tried to listen through the wood, they'd be unable to hear anything as the sound would be unable to pass through.
"Alright, now we can't be heard or seen. You are right, I didn't set up this appointment with your because of simple technologies like these that you see here. What I did ask you to come down here was because of an accidental discovery because of a couple different experiments. It should come at no surprise to you that I employ members of races that you Shinigami have tried to eradicate. I take them in, educate them, and train them to be good citizens, at least, that is my goal. I have worked with Mod Souls, though persecuted by your kind, and I find them to be fascinating. As you may know, my kind has the innate ability to manipulate souls. And by studying them... I have come across some startling technology."
Kazura opened his desk drawer and drew out a small crystal. It looked similar to the reiatsu orb or the other reiatsu circuits on his desk, but this crystal glowed slightly. "This is Lacrima. By taking the substance that was able to hold reiatsu so easily, and forming a crystalline structure, I've found out how to harmonize elemental souls with its nature and enchant the substance." The fullbringer tossed the crystal to Taien who would find that it was pleasantly warm to the touch. "For example, the soul of a fire can make the crystal warmer. The problem that I ran into, unfortunately, is that there is a limit to how much a soul can do. That crystal was formed by taking the soul of an active volcano and pouring it through my equipment. It's barely warm enough to heat up a room, much less do anything else that could keep my people safer."
The whole time, Kazura had been upbeat and had sounded curious rather than anything else. His tone quickly changed, though, to be much more grim and somber. "I'll be honest with you, I have not yet taken the next step, though I am aware of it. Do not be alarmed, because I swear to you that I've not taken a life, especially that of an innocent. The next progression from using raw elemental souls is to use the souls of living beings that are aligned with a certain element. For example, using the soul of a beast from Hell to make that crystal not just be warm but be burning hot. If the secrets of this research ever got out... Lives could be lost. I tell you this only because of the business obligation that I have, as you are the donor of the items that lead to this discovery. I have not shared this information with any other people. Now... What do you think?"
