OOC: Naga has decided to leave the remainder of the canon to me for reasons to be specified later. So, I guess it's my post. Which is here. Also, in future to all players. Both Takehiko and Sargon used steps with the intention of attacking senses. BUT, having just met these characters, you wouldn't know to do that. Therefore, to prevent metagaming, in future, please give reasons for why this was used instead of a normal step technique. It's as easy as your character acknowledging that the opponent is powerful and a stronger step is necessary. Just something like that being written into the post legitimizes it. Just for future reference.

SUDDENLY, IN TWO DIFFERENT AREAS, HIGH SENSORY OPPONENTS ARE ATTACKED WITH POWERFUL VARIANTS OF THE STEP TECHNIQUES! ON ONE HAND, SHUNPO EICHI. ON THE OTHER, SONIDO GRANDE. IN BOTH CASES, WITH TAKEHIKO KUCHIKI, AND SARGON DENUMIC, A MIGHTY FOE STANDS BEFORE THEM, AND THEY ATTACK WITH THEIR UTMOST FEROCITY. THE ATTACKS SEEM AS IF THEY WILL GO THROUGH BECAUSE OF THE HIGH SENSORY BEING SUCH A DETRIMENT, BUT THESE QUINCY ARE TENACIOUS. THEY ARE POWERFUL, AND TO UNDERESTIMATE THEM WOULD BE A GRAVE MISTAKE. ONE OF THESE IS THE EMPEROR OF THE VANDENREICH ITSELF. THE OTHER IS NAMED B, THE BOSS, BAAL. ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL OF THE EMPEROR'S ARMY. TO UNDERESTIMATE THE VANDENREICH IS FOLLY, INDEED.
No sooner had Sargon begun to move was an arrow fired directly into an exact location that his knee would occupy while on the way to his Quincy aggressor, with such flawless timing as to actually slam directly into his kneecap. But that was the next problem. It hadn't just been one arrow. It had been two. Two arrows, and both of Sargon's kneecaps were suddenly taken out completely, and his Sonido Garra was ended in a bloody whimper. Worst of all, the sound didn't even have the intended effect. It wasn't just because the sound only half completed, and the technique ended prematurely with the destruction of Sargon's kneecaps, bringing him at a collapsing, loss of balance motion near his opponent as he reappeared.
It was that the sound had literally not had an effect. But why? Why had it not had an effect? That didn't matter yet was the thing. The first question should actually be how the aggressor had so accurately attacked Sargon. He had fired with exact timing. He had known where Sargon's knees would be, and had known the exact time to fire the arrows based on their speed and on Sargon's speed to know exactly when they would reach and when Sargon would reach, and when to fire them when Sargon was no longer able to stop himself or even register the attack. Basically, with Sargon in mid step, and the timing flawless, Sargon was not able to register the attack, or defend against it even if he had.
It was practically a guaranteed strike. How had the aggressor done that? Well, least of Sargon's concerns now. Lost knees, okay. Ineffective sound assault. Okay. But, when Sargon appeared, his enemy wasn't even there anymore. The Quincy aggressor, who despite his Soldat reinforcements being near him, fought alone, had already disappeared. He was faster than Sargon was by a huge amount. Sargon, who had used a faster Sonido, was still slower than this Quincy's Hirenkyaku. Whatever Sargon came out of his step technique slashing at would be only an afterimage. But, slashing as he was, he was wide open. The Quincy General was quick to fire another arrow. No, more accurately, he had fired an arrow while in mid step technique, and it had been timed like the others, and poised to strike.
It struck Sargon's hand as Sargon slashed, but only because Sargon's hand moved into the way of the arrow, so deep in mid slash that it was too late to stop itself. His hand would be blown off, and his sword taken away from him. The arrow, however, continued still, and struck the other hand too, removing that. How could that have been angled so perfectly? It shouldn't even be possible, without having known in advance that Sargon was going to slash like that. Spinning around, Sargon would at last find the damage, and realize for himself his kneecaps had been taken and his hands as well, and his sword was lost, and his Bala and the reiatsu behind it dissipated.
It all happened so quickly that not until the end of his attacks would Sargon realize he had missed completely, and been damaged. And, as he turned around, he would find his enemy fifteen yards away, standing there calmly with a bow in his hands, observing. The enemy had gotten that far away in that quick an amount of time. It was as had been prophesized. Sargon was no match for the Quincy aggressor. In one on one combat, it was impossible to defeat this man as he was now. The difference in their power was that much. Sargon, of course, could heal his lost hands and kneecaps just by releasing. Arrancar releases could do that. And, by releasing, he could attack with more ferocity. But, the Quincy had proven superiority. Was it worth it, or should Sargon just escape?
"Your past triumphs have made you arrogant, and blinded your instincts. You've grown hasty, and prideful, Tercera Espada, since your first real encounter with a Quincy all those years ago. Victory has defeated you." The Quincy aggressor spoke as light flew from all around and settled on a watch he wore on one hand, and a metal collar around his neck. Sargon was being mocked by his opponent. Wait. But the Quincy aggressor had just made a comment about an actual memory in Sargon's history. How did he know...? Had he been there? Had he seen it? Had he been a friend of that Quincy? Or, maybe, he could sense it. Some individuals, though very, very rare, to the point where it was probably impossible to encounter one, had such ability to sense reiatsu, that they could detect an individual's powers, history, and even present thoughts. If the Quincy aggressor could detect all of these...then maybe...that was how he had done it.
AND IN TRUTH, THAT WAS HOW B, THE BOSS, BAAL MANAGED IT. WITH HIS UNHEARD OF ENERGY SENSORY, HE WAS ABLE TO KNOW WELL IN ADVANCE EVEN SARGON'S INSTINCTIVE ATTACKING PATTERN. WITH THAT INFORMATION, AND AN UNPARALLELED STRATEGIC COMBAT ABILITY AND DEAD SHOT EYE, BAAL USED HIS BOW'S POWERS TO DESTROY SARGON'S KNEECAPS, MOVE, AND DESTROY SARGON'S HANDS AS WELL AS DISARM HIM. IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, IT ALL UNFOLDED, AND SARGON WAS LEFT IN DIRE CONDITION. IMAGINE, THAT BEING OF PRIDE, AT SUCH A HUGE DISADVANTAGE FOR WHAT WAS TRULY THE FIRST TIME. AN OPPONENT BEYOND EVEN A HIGH TIER ESPADA, WHO COULD TOY WITH HIM LIKE THIS. JUST WHO ARE THESE QUINCY OF THE VANDENREICH?
MEANWHILE. A FIERCE BATTLE. ROSE, CAPTAIN OF SQUAD 4, HAS LEFT TO SEEK OUT AND SUPPORT AZUMI. TAKEHIKO KUCHIKI, HOWEVER, HAS DECIDED TO STAND AND FIGHT AGAINST THE EMPEROR IN A ONE ON ONE. IN A DARING SHOW OF FAITH, HIS PLAN IS TO UTILIZE SAIGO NO HOUMEN THROUGH HIS RELEASE'S ABILITY, OVERLOAD, AND TO DO SO IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE KUCHIKI MELEE HANA. THIS ALLOWS HIM TO ACHIEVE SUCH POWERFUL PHYSICAL STATS AS TO BE ABLE TO OVERWHELM EVEN THE EMPEROR OF THE VANDENREICH'S ABILITIES. HOWEVER, THE EMPEROR HAS BEEN AROUND LONGER THAN TAKEHIKO KNOWS, AND IS NOT TO BE SO UNDERESTIMATED. DEFEATING THIS ENEMY IN ONE SHOT IS MORE THAN LIKELY IMPOSSIBLE, AND REQUIRES A FULL ON BATTLE.
Rose, at that time, would be reaching Azumi, who was in the middle of her battle with all of the Quincy. Azumi was not wounded, but there were a great deal of Quincy. However, then Rose would sense Takehiko's surge of power, and realize that Takehiko had stayed behind, and intended to fight. Now she had yet another choice. She had not yet joined the fray. She could go and help Azumi, or go and see what Takehiko was doing. The choice was Rose's, and what she did after she made her choice was also hers. Azumi was beginning to be overwhelmed by numbers, however, and needed help. But, Takehiko, fighting the Emperor alone, might be in an even bigger dilemma.
Meanwhile, Takehiko's intention, of having the Emperor's bones shatter, senses obliterated, and existence erased wasn't the worst idea. After all, if one was going to attack the Emperor, one should go all out. Yeah, that made perfect sense. If Takehiko was planning on fighting, he was right to use Saigo No Houmen and trying to get it done as a surprise. Unfortunately, it was a little bit premature. He had gone in not knowing the Emperor's abilities. The Emperor was not an individual who could be overwhelmed by stat values. Takehiko was successful in forming his mask, but in no other endeavors. Before he even knew it, and before his blade was even fully raised, his entire arm was gone.
Takehiko's arm had been removed in a blinding flash of light. It was so instantaneous, and timed with such absolute precision, that there was no way it could have been foreseen, what with Takehiko also focusing on all of his preparations. In an instant, the entire arm was removed and turned to ash, and done so quickly, that Takehiko would even finish his move and his attack before he realized what had happened. Appearing, with an arm missing, and a wound bleeding profusely, Takehiko was not, in fact, in his Saigo No Houmen form. The Emperor had disarmed him and negated its activation. He had negated the very activation of Takehiko's release by not only shooting off Takehiko's arm, but reducing the sword to ashes with a single arrow.
Takehiko would appear, mask on, using twin Shunpo Eichi, but the sensory output of the Emperor was unaffected. The Emperor of the Vandenreich had even erected defenses. Huge, powerful defenses. They were in the form of Danku. Bakudo #81: Danku. Four of them, erected all around the Emperor, formed a box that guarded against the Shunpo Eichi blasts, AND the punch, all of which failed completely as a result. The Emperor had an incredible attack and defense power. Even with Takehiko's might, he couldn't penetrate the Emperor's incredible defenses. The Emperor of the Vandenreich. An individual of such incredible power, that even the Captain Commander had been brought down.
BUT, WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED? THE EMPEROR, WITH HIS SENSORY AND ENERGY SENSORY, KNEW IT ALL IN ADVANCE. LIKE BAAL, WHO CAN FORECAST THE ENEMY'S THOUGHTS, SO TOO CAN THE EMPEROR OF THE VANDENREICH, WITH ALARMING ACCURACY. HE CAN HEAR ONE'S MUSCLES MOVING AND DETECT EXACTLY HOW THEY WILL MOVE. HE CAN SENSE WITH ENERGY SENSORY EXACTLY WHICH TECHNIQUES THEY WILL USE, AND HE ALREADY KNOWS ALL OF THEIR POWERS. WITH HIS SENSES, HE IS SO ACUTE AS TO BE ABLE TO HEAR AND SMELL THE SYNAPSES OF THE BRAIN, AND TRANSLATE THOSE ELECTRIC SIGNALS WITH ALARMING ACCURACY INTO EXACT THOUGHTS. EVEN WHILE TAKEHIKO WAS THINKING OF ALL THAT LED TO NOW, AND WAS FORMULATING HIS ATTACK, THE EMPEROR ALREADY KNEW IT ALL.
THE INSTANT THAT TAKEHIKO BROUGHT UP HIS MASK, THE EMPEROR COULD HAVE SHATTERED IT AND ENDED THE FIGHT. BUT, HE CHOSE NOT TO DO SUCH A THING! INSTEAD, TAKEHIKO WAS ALLOWED HIS ATTACK, BUT AT THE COST OF HIS ARM, AND WITH THE FAILURE OF HIS ATTACK AT THE HANDS OF THE EMPEROR'S POWER. USING HIS SENSORY ABILITIES, THE EMPEROR WAS ABLE TO DEFEAT TAKEHIKO AND YET SPARE HIM THE SAIGO NO HOUMEN DRAWBACK. THIS FIGHT ISN'T OVER, AS TAKEHIKO CAN STILL FIGHT, BUT NOW HE IS BADLY WOUNDED AND BLEEDING OUT. WITHOUT THE ASSISTANCE OF ROSE, HE WILL SURELY DIE! AND STILL, SOMETHING EVEN MORE TROUBLING IS ON THE HORIZON. FIRST, HOWEVER, NEW ENEMIES APPEAR!
Stop music.
However, Takehiko was not unrewarded. Though Danku blocked, the Emperor's throne had still been destroyed. Perhaps Danku had not timed perfectly. The throne, except for the base upon which the Emperor sat, was destroyed. The Emperor himself, though appearing unharmed, could now be looked at as a very old looking figure in white robes, which were now tattered. However, face was still not revealed. One droplet of blood was on the ground at his feet, but whether or not it was Takehiko's or the Emperor's was not clear. As Danku faded, Takehiko would suddenly find himself fifty yards away from the Emperor, and with two people on either side of him. Okay, not to be lazy on description, but they literally looked like Phoenix Wright and his counterpart. Literally. One had on the blue suit and the hair. The other had on the weird magenta suit and looked like a cocky fuck. But, somehow, something about them was just... appealing. They just looked extremely attractive. Why? Fuck, no one knows why. They just did. They looked very attractive. And, they could speak too. "OBJECTION!" the Phoenix Wright guy said. "As P, The Perfect, Pietro, I object to your assault of Der Kaiser...."
The Emperor looked down at Takehiko without leaving his throne, and spoke. "I foresaw your desire to use Saigo No Houmen. Used in conjunction with your Kuchiki abilities, it is a formidable combination. However, you attacked me prematurely. Regardless, you have proven yourself. Recuperate, and find me again. I will be awaiting you in the tallest tower, in my final throne room. Reach this place, and I acknowledge your right to challenge me in real combat." Suddenly, with a blinding flash, the Emperor was gone. Then again, that might be better. So powerful had been his pressure, that even those words had suffocated everyone in the area. New objective time, right?
TAKEHIKO'S PRELIMINARY STRIKE AGAINST THE EMPEROR HAS FAILED, BUT HE HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED. A NEW GAUNTLET HAS BEEN THROWN, AND NEW ENEMIES HAVE APPEARED. ROSE, TAKEHIKO, AND OTHERS MUST FIND THEIR WAY TO THE TALLEST TOWER, WHERE THE FINAL STAGE HAS BEEN SET. THE EMPEROR, IT APPEARS, IS MUCH STRONGER THAN THEY HAVE ALL IMAGINED. HOWEVER, SOMETHING NOW IS EVEN MORE TROUBLING THAN EVER. WHAT THE EMPEROR USED TO GUARD AGAINST TAKEHIKO'S ATTACKS WAS A KIDO SPELL, USABLE ONLY BY SOUL REAPERS. YET, THE EMPEROR IS A QUINCY. JUST WHO EXACTLY IS THE EMPEROR, AND WHAT KIND OF POWERS DOES HE POSSESS? IS HE A QUINCY? OR SOMETHING ELSE? STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT.
New NPCs, O and P, will have stats given if RPCs choose to engage.

AN OPPONENT BEYOND EVEN A HIGH TIER ESPADA, WHO COULD TOY WITH HIM LIKE THIS. JUST WHO ARE THESE QUINCY OF THE VANDENREICH?
{Techniques employed by B, The Boss, Baal}
1. Sensory Relay - As long as the user possesses at least 1000 energy sensory, they are capable of detecting sensory output coming for their physical body early on, and activating this technique for 50 reiatsu. A class 6 technique, this ability takes sensory input that the user experiences, and disperses and reduces its potency, making it simpler, weaker, and easier as well as faster to process. In other words, it is a counter to enemy attacks on sensory stats. Because it requires one to be extremely good with reiatsu manipulation, it is usable only by Quincy. This was used by Baal to deal with the effects of Sonido Grande.
2. Hirenkyaku - The basic Quincy step technique for 50 reiatsu. Because Baal's speed is 500, his step speed is 5000, faster even than Sargon's 4500 with Sonido Grande. This allowed him to dodge the shockwaves of Sonido Grande, and to maneuver around Sargon with incredible speed.
3. Blut Vene - The defensive portion of the Quincy Blut technique. Class 3, and 300 reiatsu per post, this makes it so inferior reiatsu strength of even 1 is incapable of damaging the user. This is by all means superior to Hierro in most ways.
4. Reiatsu absorption - A passive ability of the Quincy race, Baal, as a class 0 Vandenreich, is capable of drawing in reiatsu twice per post (800 each time) into his Quincy cross (a watch on his wrist), and his spirit fragment (a collar around his neck) once for 300. This means that this post, he absorbed 1100 new reiatsu. As with all Quincy, he can use this to exceed the possible maximum.
5. Bow release level 1 - Baal is using his bow release level 1, 100 reiatsu per post, which presently takes the form of a glowing crossbow of spiritual energy. However, arrows simply materialize and fire at will, rather than requiring any kind of trigger. The properties of his arrows are "Point" and "Overwhelming." The first is his firing ability, which dictates that his arrows will automatically gravitate toward an enemy's weak points when fired at them, and will do so with alarming accuracy. In other words, it hunts down certain areas. The order is knee joints, hands, elbow joints, eyes, heart and/or throat. In other words, Baal, though he attacked with dead-eye precision, also attacked with an ability that was meant to strike Sargon's knees and destroy them. Meanwhile, the other property, overwhelming, causes the mass of the arrows to increase if they lodge in the enemy, and suddenly become so dense in mass as to drop and anchor any enemy with strength inferior to Baal's reiatsu strength to one spot, unless the arrow is removed. He fired two class 1 arrows, 70 reiatsu a piece.

{NARUTO MUSIC}
{Emperor's reiatsu use}
This was invented by the Emperor and later taught to some of his disciples, including Baal. This was used to fend off the sounds of Shunpo Eichi.
2. Bow Release Level 1 - The Emperor used Bow Release Level 1, for 100 reiatsu per post. His bow, however, was not visible at the time of firing. His properties in level 1 are "Descent" and "Giant." The first of these indicates holy descent, because these arrows are instantaneous. They do not need to form or charge. They simply materialize in mid fire. Their speed is equivalent to the Emperor's current reiatsu strength times ten. Meanwhile, "Giant" indicates that his arrows are enormous arrows or walls of light. He can dictate just how big, but they will always be huge. He fired a single class 1 arrow for 70 reiatsu.
3. Willpower: Output - The human world dweller technique that doubles all reiatsu costs and costs an additional 100 per post, but doubles spiritual stats during use. This was active only during the firing of the arrow, and deactivated when Takehiko, with his mask and thus attack power at 2000, impacted the Emperor's defense power 4000 Danku.
4. Danku - Bakudo #81, a Soul Reaper's technique for 600 reiatsu that forms large, transparent barriers that can guard any Kido spell #80 or below, and similarly leveled attacks. Usually uses reiatsu strength confrontation for defensive ability.
5. Reiatsu intake - The same ability any other Quincy can do. +1100 this turn.
Emperor's Remaining Reiatsu: 2140/4000 (8000)
