The night sky is lit by the city's lights. Though the moon is out in full, no one could see beyond the veil of darkness the night casts above Karakura Town. Not even a twinkle of a star is visible to the naked eye. The air felt light around here as well as the smell of pollution hangs in the air. It certainly brings an uncomfortable and nasty aroma to ones senses for those who aren't used to it.
In a bar of the midst of Karakura, where it was fairly deserted save for the bartender and a few passed out drunks. Sitting at the counter drinking a glass of sake was what appeared to be a young man of around his early 20's. The man had a spiky jet black long hair that covers most of his forehead and covers partially his right eye. His eyes appeared to be of a jade green that radiates an uncaring soul. His choice of clothes was a silky black short sleeved shirt that covers most of his torso save for the V neck that exposes his collarbone. His pants appear rather baggy but still gives off that formal appearance as it contains multiple pockets. Last but least his black boots that looked like it's steel toed.
"Sir are you alright?" The bartender asked the man who takes a sip of his drink. The man's eyes looked up from his glass to meet the brown eyed bartender who looked concerned. The man didn't smile nor show much of an expression really. "I'm fine, don't worry this will be my last one..." This was literally the 11th glass of sake he's had for the past 2 hours and the man doesn't appear or act like drunk in any way. The bartender just shook his head. "Alright, I'm just wondering how you can take that much alcohol." The man had a hint of amusement in his eyes. His Spiritual Pressure feels like a human for any who attempts to search his presence spiritually.
There were plenty of reasons to be in a bar. To drink, of course, was the classic one. Jack had his vices, but alcohol wasn't exactly one of them. He'd drink socially, or when he had had an awful day, but there wasn't really a reason for him to drink other than that. To screw was another reason. Finding another person who was intoxicated enough to lower their standards, take them home, wake up the next morning with a bed full of regret. But Jack was already in a relationship, so that was out. So why was he in a bar?
He was here because he wanted to hurt someone. Not anyone in particular, he just kind of woke up with a craving. And there wasn't a better way to do it semi-legally than to piss someone off at a bar, and then act "In Self Defense". Of course, it wasn't a foolproof strategy, but when it failed, he could always evacuate. He was good at slipping away from situations. In any case, the trick was to find someone drunk, and just be near them. When they started interacting with you, give bad answers. It sounded simple, and to be fair, it was.
The target for the night was a man in an obnoxious black v neck, who, judging by the glasses in front of him, had been drinking quite heavily. Jack approached him, but didn't look at him, sitting directly next to him at the bar. He nodded at the bartender, who somewhat rolled his eyes. Jack was trouble, and most of the people around these parts knew it. But he also had a tendency to cause more problems if someone called him out. So typically, those who knew Jack kept mum until it would be idiotic not to say something.

The young man with the black v neck shirt of silk glanced over to the man who decided to sit beside him. His stare wasn't hazed nor was his cheeks even red from the influence of alcohol. Instead it seemed like his eyes was like staring into the soul of the man. Normally those of Itami's appearance would've succumbed to the alcohol already. But after living for about over 200 years his body has adapted and formed kind of a strong resistance to the side effects.
The bartender walks back with a filled glass of sake. "Just make sure you get home safe kid. No tellin' what's out here in the streets anymore." Itami found the human bartender's concern amusing. 'As if I'm not one of those things?' However his face doesn't show much emotion, only his eyes radiate a hint of amusement in the midst of his cold stare. Itami turns his gaze to the human as he finishes the last of his sake. "Again you don't need to worry, though I'll have to agree it isn't indeed exactly safe out in the streets lately." He sets his glass down though it was facing upside down indicating that he was done.
