Thread Title: Sonken Kouhai vs Takehiko Kuchiki & Slace Whateverhislastnameis

Location: Outskirts of Karakura Town.
Special Conditions: Takehiko and Slace will both be maxed out at class 0 for the duration of the thread. Their stat point caps will be 1600, and their rank levels will be 3. Both will have Bankai, and the right to fill all technique slots.
Circumstances: Accidentally encountering Sonken Kouhai on a mission isn't an every-day thing, but taking him in is a priority, given he is the most wanted criminal in all of Soul Society at this moment.

I do not like this. I do not like this at all. Slace thought. His zanpakutou spirit laughed at him from within the concert hall that was his inner world. They had come across Something unusual. None other than Sonken Kouhai himself. The god king of las noches, The ultimate traitor. The blackfang watched his prey, fully aware that Kouhai knew of his presence. It mattered not to Slace however. Kouhai was the enemy, he was a tratior, and Slace would bring him in. Minutes ago he had sent a hell butterfly to the nearest shinigami of appropriate strength, He would be sure of everything before he would even think about confronting the king. But this charade of stealth was pointless in the presence of such a man.

Slace jumped down and landed behind kouhai some distance away. his face was beaming with joy as he turned to face the mighty king. "An honor to meet you your majesty, As you are no doubt aware I am supposed to battle you as is my duty. As I know that would be foolish, and you know you can defeat me instantly or anybody short of the captain commander himself should they arrive, I was hoping to talk with you a bit before we actually have to get to business. Man to man as the case may be." Slace held up his hands to show his peaceful intentions. Everything he said rang true should kouhai wish to look into his mind. Slace smiled at the king chuckling lightly before Holding out his hand to shake. "Slace Blackfang, Pleasure to meet you." Many would consider it foolish to be so calm around kouhai but slace, Slace knew no fear, he had grown out of that a long time ago.

When Takehiko locked eyes on the man, it was all he could do not to unleash Bankai right off the bat and kill the man where he stood. The man's every detail, from the neatness of his hair to his glasses to those disgustingly cold eyes he possessed, all of them reminded Takehiko of the worst day of his life. The day when red decorated the room, and yet Sonken Kouhai walked out safely. The funeral had been almost enough to drive Takehiko to suicide, but he survived, barely. At least one of them had. He respected Souza, but things weren't the same. Four years. Four years had passed, and Takehiko had become goddamn dangerous in his own right. He had unlocked basically every technique there was to learn, mastered every form of combat he could, and got physically strong enough that he could break Zanpakutous with his bare hands. All of this, for this one chance encounter. It was going to be worth it.

"Kouhai. You get no trial, nothing more than this one warning. My name is Takehiko Kuchiki, and I will be your opponent today. It has been a while since we last met, and I have no intention of allowing there to be a third meeting." He didn't draw his sword, it would be a worthless decision. Takehiko was more dangerous with his blade sheathed, having grown to be somewhat of a god at Iaijutsu. He'd been good before, but good hadn't been enough. So now he was awe-inspiring, which should be sufficient. His ally, Slace Blackfang, was actually a former Squadmate of his, back when Takehiko was a member of the Third Division. Things had changed a lot since them, with Takehiko briefly taking over Squad 6, as most of the other eligible Kuchiki were busy with their own divisions. He'd stepped down the instant Souza had become eligible, and had served as Vice Captain for a short while until he was sure that the young Head was capable of leading. After that, he found a division that he liked, and displaced the captain. He had a goal, and nothing had been going to stop him.

And now his goal stood in front of him, and he could feel a silent, cold fury bubbling up inside him.

They had said once that Satsujun was the most powerful of Soul Society's criminals, and that Kyousou Ningen was the most powerful Soul Reaper ever to live. But how true were either of those? What was it that defined power? Was it pure ability, or were intellect and cunning included in that? Kyousou Ningen was indeed more powerful than other Soul Reapers, and could not be defeated in a straight up, one on one battle, but that was why cunning existed. What made Satsujun dangerous was his scientific knowledge and his cunning.

But, could either of those be compared to Sonken Kouhai? Why would it be, then, that they called Sonken Kouhai the most dangerous criminal of Soul Society, and the world's most wanted man? It was a simple thing. Sonken Kouhai's genius was unparalleled. Many would come along who claimed to be on his level, but they would be wrong. He was powerful, but more importantly he was a strategic mastermind, and most importantly his scientific genius could not be compared to anyone else. He was on a whole other level.

This was the man who had recreated the Hougyoku from scratch, on his own, without even glancing at Azeru Cho's files. This same man had actually altered the evolutionary process in Hueco Mundo to make the current grade of Arrancar a natural phenomenon, rather than an artificial one created by an archaic, and outdated Hougyoku. It was because of his accomplishments that three Captains had been killed during his betrayal of Soul Society, and that he now held the throne of Las Noches, unchallenged by any Arrancar.

And, oh shit. Here he was. Sonken Kouhai, standing before two Soul Reapers of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. He was dressed in a white tuxedo with a black shirt beneath, and a black rosebud over his heart. There was no bow tie, and his shirt had one extra button down, showing a silver chain pendant which resonated with some kind of unfathomable reiatsu. Here he was, to receive their greetings, for he turned around as they suddenly appeared, and listened to them graciously as they spoke.

When they were both done with entirely different speeches, Kouhai replied. "Unfortunately, Slace Blackfang, I must respectfully refuse your handshake. It is unwise policy to shake the hand of one with whom you may do battle momentarily." Sonken Kouhai reached to his side, and drew forth his Zanpakuto quietly, without much of a flourish or anything dramatic. Cmon. He was the King. No need to do any of that dramatic stuff. His power spoke for itself. He held the sword loosely at his side, and did not assume a combat stance.

Then, his cold, amused eyes fell upon Takehiko. "Indeed, I am aware of your plight, and have known of you and your rage for some time. I do acknowledge the hatred in your blade, but must ask that you both step down and return to the Soul Society. It is clear already that neither of you is a match for me, and that together you stand no better of a chance of taking me down. If we do battle now, you will both die, and your prestigious families will lose valuable members and thus power."

And it wasn't just the fortification of Kouhai's aura that was scary. There were other Soul Reapers with comparable ability to feel menacing. Sozen Kuchiki had been one of those. Arrancar such as Kuroi Naito could do it as well. Actually, what made Kouhai really scary was how strong his reiatsu was. Even combined with each other and two other Captains, Takehiko and Slace had no comparison to Kouhai. His reiatsu was so powerful that it was likely he could repel any effects of any techniques they performed on him. If that was the case, fighting him was already pointless. This was already a death sentence.

Slace breathed deep. It had been a long time since he had felt fear. He could never remember what it was. But here, here on the verge of death, he knew that today he would die. It was fact. To one such as him this mattered not, he would be back with no lost time for him. But the air pulsing with energy, waiting to be unleashed. He was exhilarated by the prospect of fighting Kouhai. Zen had fought him twice before he died. And after their first battle he told Slace of the aura, the pure unfiltered power coming from kouhai, the darkness pouring from his body, pure darkness it could have been, it practically swallowed the warmth of the sun, it pulled the heat from your bones, the world grew dim, every flaw, every grim mistake etched out before you. the pressure on your back like a million worlds weighing down on your shoulders. All of these things and somehow Slace believed it to be enjoyable. He craved new experiences, new lessons in his long and many lives. His own aura pulsing out the waves of energy flowing from him like flames and tides, made of a strange translucent white form, this energy, it emanated music, beautiful melodies, horrific dirges, masterful symphonies, all of it could be heard blending together into a masterpiece. Slace was called the "conductor of war" by his family.

His face split into a maddening grin his teeth showing through his thick beard, They glistened perfect white but there was something off. a hint of madness lay behind that smile, Slace looked at kouhai his eyes piercing into the mans soul. You could feel the excitement from slace even without energy sensory. It was obvious, it filled his reiatsu. Pouring from him in droves, Kouhai had a tremendously powerful reiatsu, and slace had a vast ocean of it to spend, but while it lacked the obvious power, his energy felt immense, not with power but with life. It was a world unto itself, the same wild abandon with which the kido master of soul society or the failures of the human world lived. Yet it was bound to this man. He laughed at Kouhai's manners, a traitor to soul society, but only because they had betrayed him. Slace knew not how, but he knew it must be. only betrayal could earn such hate from a man.

It was magnificent, Takehikos own hate was obvious by the venom dripping from his words, Slacew thought it rather petty but he understood. He did not approve but he understood. He nodded to takehiko before he turned back locking eyes with the king once more. "You know, you killed what amounts to my brother. Zen isogi, you fought him twice, you let him survive the first time, but you obliterated him the second. He most likely told you about our special gift. He would not have mentioned me however. You see, Zen was not in fact lying, We and three others in our twisted form of 'family' are unique in the soul cycle as the only five beings possessed of the ability to retain our identity after death. When we die we simply are reborn in another life with our self intact. I have no reason to fear death, for it has no hold on me. Whether it would take ten days or ten thousand years, I would simply come back Kouhai-sama." The use of an honorific was unusual by slace, especially the one he had given kouhai. It was used for royalty, for figures of authority. Did Slace acknowledge Kouhai as a true king? Well why not? Kouhai had earned his throne. It was only proper to grant him the respect he has earned. "And as I am a blackfang, I am unfortunately bound by our family honor, I am obligated to battle you. It is not personal and I hope that if or when I die, perhaps there will be a life given to me in which we can converse freely."

During this time Slace had been scratching his palm with its own fingers. It would be undetectable when hidden behind the outpour of his energy. But Slace had placed a very dangerous kido into his hand, Bakudo 99, inside of bakudo 70, the wanashudan, this meant that if he landed a single blow on kouhai with this hand, he would be bound by an unbreakable seal. He nodded to kouhai and held out his arms. "I have no quarrel with the king, Personally, I'd rather we could converse, However as you do, I concede the first strike to you takehiko"

How could he be so carefree? any logical person would assume what he had told kouhai was a lie. However what other possible explanation could there be for his attitude? How could death mean so little to him? It was madness truly.

{Release-incoming WOT.}first the techniques.




Brass section- Disables all currently active abilities for a 5 post duration. That means only abilities currently in use, (Releases, stat boosts/nerfs, status effects, long term techniques, techniques currently in use when this is activated) Does nto effect techniques that have already ended, or techniques that have not been used yet. ONLY currently active abilities.

Drawback: Slace himself is not exempt from this. when activated all releases are still around but have no abilities. other effected do not lose posts from release duration when this is used. Slace still loses release posts when activated. Can only be used 5 times per release. 10 during bankai.



Woodwinds section-A simple technique, allows Slace to guide other techniques currently in use he takes control of its movements. Simple as that.

Drawback: can only guide for 2 posts,5 in bankai, including the post it was activated in. cannot be used until five posts have gone since the end of the guide duration.



Strings section-Heals one person. Restores them to full condition injuries gone, status removed, stamina restored. Reiatsu spent is not replaced.

Drawback:Cannot be used to heal spiritual damage, mental trauma, or emotional injuries. During use the user experiences pain on par with a technique masters class 1 pain draw backs. this cannot be ignored through pain resistance techniques but is over the instant healing is complete.

Bankai now.

Percussion Section- User spends reiatsu to cause detonations. things burst from pressure in a steady rhythm. Stone,metal, concrete ETC will burst like pressurized magma when effected in set intervals. Liquids burst into hot gas. Gas ignites or ionizes into plasma. things simply burst when effected.

Drawback-Costs 300 reiatsu, Each time it is used the users torso becomes covered in violent bruises and burns. Cannot be used in rapid succesion or user will be rendered unconscious.



Keys Section- Like a piano, like any key section instrument, like its sound penetrates the concert hall and breaks through to the cor eof your mind. The keys section technique breaks down all zones. negation areas, combat zones, barriers, area based abilities. they are useless while keys is active.

Drawback: DOUBLES ALL STAMINA COSTS all stamina the user expends is doubled while this is used, user has stamina drained like they are going all out for the entire time keys is active. stamina drained by this technique cannot be fully restored. a max of half the stamina lost can be recovered.



Orchestra-A last resort move of sorts. upon use the user loses all reiatsu left with a minimum of 900 remaining. they can no longer use any techniques for the duration of the battle. But in exchange every technique that has been used during the battle is turned against a single opponent all at once. techniques used multiple times have each iteration used. every single attack made during the battle is turned against his enemy. release end sinstantly, reiatsu is completely removed, user is left completely drained by this. even enemy techniques are included for this. combat after this is impossible barring saigo no houmen.
