Thread Title: An Old Shame (Hokori vs. Myza Round 2) Participants: Hokori Kuchiki, Captain of Squad 5; Myzaraphiston Synderfell, Septima Espada World: Soul Society Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: Yet another village in the Rukongai, though this one is only a few miles away from the walls of the Seireitei itself. It's fairly well-to-do, sporting many of the conveniences of the more prosperous towns in the Soul Society. Special Conditions: None Circumstances: Myza's struck at the Seireitei once again. It's been only a few days since the failed invasion attempt upon Los Noches, and Myza has deemed it appropriate to strike back at the Gotei 13 for their impudent desire to assault the Chosen People. This time, she does not seek to capture any souls. No, this is a strike to remind the insects of their place in the order of things, to remind them of God's plan and their place in it. But little does she know that she is about to meet one of her most hated opponents for the second time...

Ah, it had been a while since Myza had been able to make an appearance herself in the Soul Society. Ever since she had become an Espada, her other duties had taken up the time that would have normally be spent planning one of her sample collections in the Rukongai. On top of that, more Hollows had flocked to serving her after her ascension to the Espada, thus removing most of the need for her to actually go herself.
While the free time was certainly appreciated for her experiments, there was still a part of her that missed walking into the Soul Society herself. After all, she was undeniably better at proving the inferiority of the Lesser Races than all of her underlings combined. But being one of the Most Fit of the Chosen People came with its responsibilities, and Myza would rather suffer through the occasional bout with boredom rather than seem as incompetent and lazy as those fools Cierro and Arhellai.
But then those foolish Shinigami had chosen to attack Los Noches, to attempt to steal the Hogyoku. They had dared to violate the most sacred ground of the Chosen People, and had been pushed back with little effort. Such arrogance in a Lesser Race could not go unpunished as far as Myza was concerned. So she had gone to Kouhai, asked the King of Los Noches for permission to strike back at the fools, to remind the insects of what their fate was when they challenged those who were Chosen by God himself.
And now, here she was, in the South District 2 of the Rukongai. Hollows ranging from basic to a handful of Adjuchas were under her orders to decimate the population of this particular portion of the Soul Society, and had taken to this duty with gusto. Myza could feel them advance, could feel the histories of all they encountered suddenly end as her servants consumed all in their path. She smiled at the sensation, her eyes closed as she simply took in the pleasure that this moment was bringing.
But then another Spiritual energy came into her awareness. This one was potent, more so than any other individual she could feel. It tasted foul to boot, like a rotten lemon mixed with ink. Her lips curled into disgust, and she spat out a glob of black slime to try and rid herself of the taste. Tch. It seems a Captain has come out to stand against me. It's about time. She would quickly leap up to the top of one of the buildings, looking and waiting for her foe. She willed the new Hierro she had learned to life as she did so, strengthening her defense to levels that most Shinigami would find next to impossible to penetrate.
As she continued to wait for her foe to come face her, she began to use her superior ability to analyze reiatsu to begin sifting through his memories. She would only get glimpses at first, bits and spurts of what was on his mind and his most recent doings. But as time went on, the Septima would get a more and more complete picture of the man she was to fight, including all of his past battles as well. That time was still a short while in the future, but it would inevitably happen.
