As I've been discussing with some individuals in chat recently I'm considering trying to do another Tabletop RPG thread, in this case, Dark Heresy (version 1, this will not be taking into effect the Dark Heresy v2 in progress at this time).
In Dark Heresy you play the role of Acolytes in the Inquisition-- essentially the lowest ranked members. Inquisitor's in training, if you will. You have been selected by an Inquisitor for training and are finally able to prove your worth to the Imperium of Man. Throughout your journeys, if you survive, you will rise in rank in the Inquisition and perhaps one day, be able to attain the rank of Inquisitor yourself. But you must survive the lethal rigors of your missions until that day comes.
----
As a general note as to the rules of Dark Heresy, I am going to list some minor changes here, from the standard rules:
-Character creation will be done via Point Buy, using 90 points
-No starting characteristic may exceed 45
-We will be using the "updated" rules for Full-Auto weapons as far as combat is concerned (you may PC me on what these are if you are unfamiliar with these).
-As this is on a forum, and not in "real-time" as it were, for the purposes of allocating experience and restoring Fate Points, a session will be determined by any major events that occur in the story (leaving a major location, reaching a major location, uncovering a major secret, etc.)
-Because of the rule regarding sessions, experience points may only be spent at the time you attain them. For example, if you are given 200 experience points, you may choose not to spend them immediately, but will have to wait until the next time you gain experience to use them.
-You must keep up. If your absence is unavoidable, I will NPC your character to a minor extent (assuming, for example, that they keep with the group while investigating and the like, and making basic awareness tests for them), but unless you yourself are gone for long periods of time, you should be able to post frequently (at least once a week).

There is space in the campaign I'm setting up for up to 5 people if you have an interest, which I am aware three people are. Thus precedence will be given to LordofBeyond, Taka and Mourge, unless they wish to rescind their spot. However, if you have an interest at all, please make a post here, reserving a spot.
{Warhammer 40k summary}
For those unfamiliar with it: Dark Heresy is a Tabletop RPG that takes place in the universe of Warhammer 40,000, a grimdark Scifi verse in the 41st century. Humanity has spread out across the stars, under the lead of an individual known as "The God Emperor of Mankind", a being of unimaginable power. In a tragic event known as The Horus Heresy, however, the God Emperor was mortally wounded and thus reigns over the Imperium in a comatose state on the Golden Throne, placed on the Holy world of Terra (ie. Earth).
This happened 10,000 years prior to the timeline of Warhammer 40,000 (or Warhammer 40k as it is often known), and since the Heresy, enemies of all manner have cropped up around the Imperium. There are the Orks-- a barbaric fungal race of aliens that use crude technology and sweep across the Galaxy in massive assault forces known as Waaagh's. There are the Eldar, essentially elves in Space. An ancient race with powerful technology and the powers of foresight, the Eldar prefer to remain apart from the Imperium of Man, but when provoked or when the survival of their race depends on it they prove terrifying and efficient enemies. There are the Tyranids, a vast swarm of alien locusts that sweep through the Galaxy, devouring all in their wake, and who possess the terrifying ability to adapt to almost any weapon brought to bear against them. And there are the Necrons, near-immortal soldiers who desire nothing less than the extermination and dominion over all life in the universe.
But of all the Imperium's foes, there is none more dangerous than the forces of Chaos. Existing beyond the planes of reality, Chaos dwells in the nightmarish realm, known as the Warp. They possess immense power, and are guided by the four Gods of Chaos-- The diseased Nurgle, the cunning Tzeench, the bloodthirsty Khorne and the beautiful Slaanesh. They corrupt the souls of mortals, and turn them to their will, while wreaking devastation on the material world through their servants-- powerful and mighty daemons who's very visage can drive the unprepared to insanity.
With foes lurking around every corner, every person you meet a potential enemy, the Imperium of Man needs someone to protect them from enemies within themself. This, is the Holy Inquisition. The most powerful organization in the Imperium of Man, the Inquisition roots out threats within the Imperium itself and destroys them, by any means necessary. Over the millenia the Imperium has existed, the Inquisition has defeated the most dangerous of enemies, from Chaos Cults to Ork Waaaghs, ensuring the wheels of the Imperium keep turning at any cost.
