Thread Title: Bringing Light to Those in Darkness Participants: John Ryan, Llusia Domenech World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: Small, nondescript towns are pretty common in the U.S. It's impossible to even discern from this one what state you're in. It's pretty average, consisting of a garage/petrol station/convenience store, and a few houses. It's deathly quiet, as the town has been bypassed by a motorway, and the town is surrounded by cornfields. Special Conditions: After 30 posts, John will be evacuated by the Vandenreich using the 'Shadow'. Circumstances: John was in the area, when a powerful source of reiatsu led him to investigate the small town. The source of this power is Llusia Domenech, who is in the town on business only known to her.

Llusia sat in a cafe drinking coffee and keeping to herself, she really enjoying the warmth of the coffee going through her body. It was almost damn near a blizzard outside and she wasn't overly fond of the cold. She did however find what she needed to get "I don't know why you couldn't just stay away from the damn things, they're not even that important, but seriously don't re-" she closed off her inner self and opened the letters. These letters contained things from someone very dear to here that died a very very long time ago."I know you most likely be getting these kiddo, but I want you to know who your father was, not the image of what is said about me. Uh my name is Mesuki Miu, a heir to the Miu dynasty, but you should know that as im sure your brother should have told you. There isn't much i cant tell you, because i want to protect you so let me first off say, I love you kiddo, I always will, nothin will ever change that okay? Second, There is money I left for you and your brother to live off of, it should be enough for you two even beyond when you guys get older, maybe even for your kids....under the shel...in the ba....somewhere near the ri..." the letter was faded and after that it was blank. She had started tearing up a bit after reading the next couple of letters, this was one of her only ways getting to know her real father. She read the 5 letters over twice and blew her nose "Now look at you, such a mess..." her inner self even started crying a bit and she hugged Llusia laughing "I never knew he was such a good guy..." Llusia smiled and got up going outside for a second. She wore only a white cloak on top of her white button down shirt, black tie, and black leggings. She wasn't remotely cold and was quickly going into an alley, pulling out her zippo and lighting the letters on fire "Love you papi..." the finally caught fire and she dropped the ashes heading back to the cafe'.
She sat back down and sighed "What now?" she sat in the corner of the busy cafe and she shrugged talking to herself "I'll have to go back to Las Noches soon, but I could take a detour and call Masa to come meet me at the house in Spain, but that could lead to other things that I don't know if I have time for now" her inner self giggled and shook her head "You two are really pervs sometimes you know that? Gosh makes me all grossed out seeing you t-" she laughed when Llusia gave her the middle finger and stopped. Llusia drunk her coffee in silence and got up stretching, then walking out again and out onto the sidewalk, her face getting shielded with the hood from the snow and she walked quietly to an unknown destination just thinking about things and enjoying the beauty of the snow and ice.

John walked through the snow, his Vandenreich uniform providing the perfect camouflage against the white blanket which covered the entire area. His hood was fully up, casting a shadow over his face, not to intimidate anyone, but only because it was really, really cold. He trudged up a small lane, between two large cornfields. He was heading to the small town just a mile away, a little settlement, with nothing more than a small garage, one of those with the little cafés, to cater for the needs of the town's minute population.
John shivered inwardly. It was cold. The Vandenreich Ice Palaces were cold, but the strength paradox was that they were still above a zero, a feat made possible by the thickness of the ice, and how the ice trapped the body heat of thousands of soldiers within its walls. It was well below zero here, and the snow was still falling. It was up above his ankles now, and it would probably grow thicker as the day progressed. Thank goodness we wear high boots in the Vandenreich. John thought with a wry smile, any other shoe, and his socks would have been soaked through.
As he passed the town, he met another figure in a white cloak coming against him. For a while, John didn't note anything suspicious about them except their clothing. Even then though, John wasn't too suspicious. This was America, sure. All sorts of people lived here. John nodded slightly, just a gesture of courtesy, but as he approached the figure, he felt a massive surge of spiritual pressure.
But that's impossible... Why is it, everywhere I go, there are Spiritual Beings? Not fair!!
As John approached, he felt the pressure rise. The figure wasn't getting more powerful, just that the closer he got, the more of their power he could sense. It was far above his own! there was no doubt about it. Again, John felt the nagging suspicion in the back of his mind that he was ill-suited to represent der Kaiser in battle, he was too weak. If this turned into a battle between them, John could only hope that his Vollstandig would be enough to allow him to survive, let alone win.
As they got closer, John recognised something... familiar about their spiritual pressure. It was dark somehow, as if it were... tainted by something. Suddenly, realisation crashed over John like a tidal wave. That was Hollow pressure he sensed! Impossible! They're an Arrancar! John was not going to succeed, now he was sure of it. This person probably had access to all sorts of techniques, including Hierro and Cero. And that's not even considering that he wouldn't even be able to touch them, due to their... Hollow-ish nature.
So instead, John made a tactical decision. He would pass the figure by, in the hope that they wouldn't realise who or what he was. There was always a chance that they would consider him a normal human, no threat whatsoever. But don't Hollows eat humans?! Oh damn... John began to sweat, in spite of the cold. This just wasn't fair. He gulped. He was approaching the figure now, they were now easily within earshot of each other.
