It was night, and there was rain. The runway was empty of flights, this being the last of the day. A late flight, one that was delayed partially due to the strong winds and storm that had rolled in through the LA area. The plain however was finally able to touch down and around an hour later, James Linfield stepped through the exit doors of the LAX. There of course was a limo waiting for him, the driver walked up to the steps shielding him with an umbrella preventing almost all of the rain and splatter from the downpour, James slid into the comfortable interior of the back of the car. It was black leather, Italian, but nothing he wasn't used to. The man put his suitcase in the trunk and raced to get into the car, he immediately set course driving towards the north east part of LA, there was the part of Los Angeles that held the upper class. It also was close to Malibu, which also showed its status. Through the city of angels they drove. His driver spoke only a few words, all professionalism with enough to get what need needed to across. "Your Father is away Master Linfield, on business in St. Louis. He should be back by the end of the week, you accommodations have been prepared for your return. Are there any places you need to stop before we return home?"
During his speech, they passed an ally. and it was during that pass that lightning flashed. During that flash James felt apart of him coil in some kind of primal fear, there was a reason. There was always a reason. This reason was what was revealed during that flash, a form was revealed. Normally cloaked in darkness. Wolfish in nature, it was a creature that was ten feet tall and appeared to be several hundred pounds with red eyes. It was snarling as the flashed faded and darkness overtook the alley once again. And just like that it was gone, the feeling was gone. James, with his past and talent might have known what had just happened. And if he bothered to look back, He'd noticed that just before the limo turned he saw a man with brown hair and a bloody chin walk out from the alley. It wasn't much to guess that something was wrong here. But the question is what would he do?
At St. Vincent Medical Center, John Smith was just getting off of his shift. It was clear that it was raining, but as he left he noticed one of the ambulances were coming back from picking up some poor unfortunate soul. Its sirens shrill yell could be heard even as it approached the hospital, it parked in the unloading dock. There was a loud voice, a yelling that was clearly the patient in the ambulance. It was surprising how good of a set of lungs he had on him. But it was the oddity of what he was yelling, here and there John if he choose to listen hard enough would hear, "Fine." "Me Go!" "Leave!" Despite whatever reason the ambulance had brought the male here for, he still seemed to have the energy to keep yelling. Though John was now off duty, he could go back inside and help with the apparent new patient. Or find something else productive to do with his night. The choice of course was up to him. He just had to make it.
