Kazura Uzaki, the CEO of Uzaki Enterprises, billionaire playboy philanthropist, Batman, was confused. In a desperate search for power and superiority over a huge threat that seemed impossible to overcome he had sought out and discovered a Black Market that promised power on an illegal scale. With his growing arsenal of weapons threatening to be too much for him to carry and handle, he purchased something called the Storage Scroll, and got way more than he had planned for. The Club he bought turned out to be far too heavy to use well, and far too brutish for his tastes, but there was probably a use for it later. Maybe in the hands of someone else, it would be more effective.
The Storage Scroll, however, had some potential. On it were written words in an arcane language that Kazura had never seen before. They had no roots in any human language, nor any resemblance to anything of the entirety of written language. As a learned man, equipped with the Holy Power of Google, the language didn't even look similar to any fictional languages from television, video games, and other assorted mediums. With no roots, no similarities, and no clues, Kazura decided to take the more direct approach. Attaching the Scroll to the wall, he plugged some instruments into it so that he could monitor it.
Although it didn't have a reading from the Spirit Goggles, still there was some sort of energy coming from it. So either the energy couldn't be quantified, or it just was too high for the Spirit Goggles to handle. Kazura assumed the former, and estimated that it was a Spiritually Empowered Item, but it didn't have a set of power like actual beings did. So what did he do? He zapped it with a lot of electricity. The stimulation of a current caused the letters to start to shift, until they seemed actually readable. As if it was interpreting what language Kazura would best speak in, then shifting so it would be legible. "Dākugēto ga shira rete inai mono ni tsūro o hiraki, natte mimashou"
The Scroll sunk into the wall, where it grew into a stone archway, big enough to walk through without hitting one's head on the top. The cables dropped to the floor, and were removed from the site of the new doorway into... something. The wall was still there, all that was different was there were now stone blocks forming an arch in it. Upon inspection of the stones, the same symbols as were on the scroll were found inscribed on them, which prompted action from Kazura. "Dākugēto ga shira rete inai mono ni tsūro o hiraki, natte mimashou" Upon repeating the phrase, the inner portions of the archway became black, and a starry void appeared in the distance.
Tentatively placing a foot into the gateway, he found that he was unable to stand and that he would fall if he jumped headlong into the portal. So, strapping on a large backpack full of compressed air, enough for hours of flight from his boots, he flew off into the portal. He only needed to go a small distance before another window appeared, and he emerged into a cavern. Of sorts. The cave was insanely massive. The walls could not be seen, nor could the ceiling. It was probably as big as a country, or even a continent like Australia. Without a way to judge the distance, it could be an entire planet sized cave.
This would need a lot more exploring in time, but for now, Kazura was content to just cover a little bit of ground. He tested the phrase that he had learned, and found that wherever he was, it summoned the portal to return him back to his home. That was nice. Feeling confident to roam wherever he wanted without getting lost allowed him to follow tangents and not worry about keeping track of where he had been. The calmness of the air felt as though nothing had disturbed this place in many hundreds, if not thousands, of years. So setting off from the place where he had started, he quickly came across a scarred field of battle.
The ground had been charred from some sort of fire, and there was bone matter that had been fossilized into the rock. From the structure of it, the bones looked human, however there was a sort of residual energy that coated everything. The air didn't feel the same as earth's air. And the stones and sand didn't feel like earth's rock. Next to the bones, something that would last far longer than living remains, was a sword. It was old, and very worn down, but it was a Japanese Katana. Much like the ones that the Shinigami carried... Was this possibly the realm of the Ghosts? It didn't look very populated, and it looked as if the Shinigami had died thousands of years ago, either from battle or starvation, so it was doubtful that it really was their home. So then where am I...
Taking the sword in his hand, gently, he spoke the phrase that would get him home and brought it back into his lab. In order to patch it up he needed some materials, which cost a little bit out of his pocket, but other than that, he was quickly able to sharpen the sword and get it back to its original durability. Hopefully. What was in his hands, not to his knowledge, was just an Asauchi, a blank sword with no soul of a Shinigami inside, but despite that, he was holding a spiritual weapon. That much he knew. The power from it was weak, almost non-existent, but it was there. There was no way he could replicate this sword, but there were more to be found in that cavern, if only he would look.
