Plagarism / Copy!?

Now before ranting (or whatever this is called), I want to clarify a few things, I am only posting here instead of the chat due to time differences, and I have no intention to start a feud with the mentioned here, I am merely asking that we all be able to use our pure skills on the forum instead of taking from some other places.

The new 9 Division captain has shown poor taste of Ripping off, Retsu Jashin, with the following rip offs:

-Retsu is also Retsu Unohana's name (We now have two male captains whose names are girls xD) from Bleach.
-Jashin is the name of Hidan's god, from Naruto.
-Sting like a bee is a part of Muhammed Ali's motto, and is also a part of Killer Bee's motto, which the author of Retsu Jashin's character likely stole this from.
-Kamui is the name of Kakashi's technique in Naruto.

Please enlighten me on how this is allowed to go on.

while this may merit attention at some point, I, for one, don't see too much of a problem.. I mean, yeah, I am very well aware of that fact (the extreme similarities and nature of the names and stuff), but the character in its totality (perhaps not in name concept and motto), is original enough.. I don't see too many reasons to consider it plagiarism in the context of being used in this site..

I, for one, thinks that it will only be considered as plagiarism if someone else had the exact same character bio as someone else on this site..

Well really, he only stole names. Obviously he has a very poor judgment on what names are suitable for males and females in the Japanese language, and he should have researched first, but I don't see anything too wrong. Names are fine to take parts of, unless you're suddenly Sasuke Uchiha and you're busting out your big ass sharingan bankai bobamajig. If he'd stolen an actual character, maybe we'd do something. As for the kamui thing, he might not know the name. The name is only mentioned as a given in the naruto guide book that the author wrote, not mentioned in anime or manga. Kamui is a directly translation of 'God's Majesty.' His app says he's called 'God's bee', so I guess he wanted some kind of "majestic" name for his zanpakutou. And also, I don't think taking a line from Muhammad ali is plagiarism, unless I've missed something and he's an anime character. Now, the similarities to killer bee... This bugged me at first, but the only real similarities are that he's black, and he does bee related stuff. The powers, personality, and all that are decently original. However, if you're still bugged, you'll be glad to know that bee is getting demoted pretty soon if someone tries to take his place. I was lenient on his grading because we need captains, but that makes his app easy to pass, his character weak. Some newcomer could storm in and bust him out of the spot. If you want to, feel free to try in fact.

Oh yeah, and I also found out that Sayuri [our other female name captain] CAN be used as a guy's name. Even though I swear to god that should strictly be a girl's name.

Captain Commander and Vice Captain positions are both filled for Squad 1. Just putting that out there. But anyway, a third seat would be cool too. Oh, and get this. Turns out Bee DID plagiarize, but not the stuff you mentioned. He plagiarized some of his app from wiki.
