Mourge here. Decided since we were getting an influx of new people lately, that it would be a good idea to go ahead and jot down my own personal thoughts about all of the types! So, without further ado, let us begin!
Ah, Untyped. Not much to say about this one, except that you will almost always be better off taking a type instead. While you may not have any stat cuts by being Untyped, you will also not be getting any boosts whatsoever.
Final Analysis: All in all, you'd be better off taking Soldier than remaining untyped.

Clown is a powerful type. It gives a good boost to spiritual stats, which makes it far easier to take on both Arrancar and Vandenreich Quincy, and allows for longer-term usage of reiatsu-based attacks and techniques. However, it comes at a rather steep price: Cutting all of your sensory stats. Especially at the higher levels this can actually be incredibly detrimental, as to just have 100 in one of the three stats, you need to place a total of 200 points into it if you're a Level 3 character. The second drawback to it is that two Races that would benefit immensely from this type, Arrancar and Akki, can not take it.
Final Analysis: Good way to pack a punch with a lower level character, and a good way to boost your Reiatsu if you don't want the limitations of a Genius or Technique Master. However, other types just outshine it at higher levels thanks to the sensory cut.

Strategist is one of those types that is very swingy. On the one hand, it does give a higher stat boost to the most stats out of all the types. On the other hand, all three of the stats it boosts are sensory stats. On top of this, it cuts speed, and at level 2 alone, the highest Speed you'll be able to get is a measly 240. So while your sensory stats will be ungodly good, you will be SLOW. In addition, there won't be any boost to Reiatsu stats, meaning that against Arrancar and Vandenreich Quincy, you might have a harder time chipping through their defenses.
Final Analysis: Even with all the drawbacks, Human World Dwellers can rock this type like no other. The Gate alone offsets not having your RS boost, and if you build your power right, the speed cut ultimately won't matter. That being said, this is kinda a niche build, and one that wouldn't do well with most of the other builds on site.

I will say this first: The main draw for Brave is not its stat boosts, though they are rather good overall. No, the best part about the Brave type is that you get two weapons that can go into release. The problem with this is that you do NOT get more techniques to work with, meaning that, on average, any one of your Zanpakuto on its own will probably not compare to someone else's of the same level because you've got to split up 6 techniques between two different Zanpakuto. Combined with the reiatsu cuts, and this type is not nearly as good as it first appears.
Final Analysis: Bount that want to mix it up physically will love this, especially considering that they get another Doll out of the deal. But if you're a Shinigami, you may want to take a look at Prodigy instead if you want two weapons. If you choose to keep just one Zanpakuto though, this type essentially becomes Fighter with Kido, which provides some interesting opportunities.

One of the fastest types on site. The catch? You only get the speed boost while running or using a stepping technique. That means that your strikes and reaction speed will simply be at your normal speed, and not receive any increase.
Final Analysis: Either find a way to fight while on the run as often as possible, or find a different speed boosting type.
