The Eleventh Division

[Iro Kuchiki]

The Eleventh Division is a mostly unassuming barracks. More or less a set of offices for the Seated Officers with a few beds attached, with the members of Squad 11 away on mission so often, they don't need much more than that. The rooms for the Unseated officers are simply long rows of beds with footlocker storage. The Seated officers at seventh seat and higher have a room that they share away from the masses, and the Captain and Vice Captain have their own individual rooms. While on the small side, these private quarters are still fairly nice with plenty of space for a bed and a dresser.


Squad 11 abides by a simple code of conduct:

Strength is Survival. Survival is Camaraderie.


Strength is Survival means to the member of this squad that those who have strength and power survive. This is the foundation for the system of Ranks. It is no different than the rest of the Gotei, but the Eleventh Division takes extra respect for a challenge for Rank. To obtain a rank, one must either prove themself to the Captain, or they much prove themself stronger than the current Rank holder.


Survival is Camaraderie means that survival is impossible without working together as a military force. While strength and power does survive, without a sense of good faith between members of a raiding party, no one will survive. This is the foundation for the Squad's system of punishment. While breaking the laws of the Soul Society would be dealt with in the regular punishment that is set down by the Seventh Squad, breaking laws such as Deserting, Insubordination, and being a Disruptive Influence is held at a much higher level of crime than Squad 7 would classify it as.

You stand outside an average sized building constructed outside of the main barracks for the 11th Division, the Primary Attack Squad. There's nothing spectacular about the building, it used to be a janitorial shack before it was renovated a little bit, however prominently displayed over the single entrance is a large stone with an inscription. It reads "In the memory of Shinra-taicho, the toughest Shinigami to ever live." Walking inside of the building, you find the walls lined with weapons. It isn't an extensive collection, and there's only a few copies of each one at the moment, however it's the principle behind them that is important. The 11th Division is in no need of fancy Kidou or flashy techniques passed down from Squad member to squad member, no, instead it has an armory from which members can borrow as they need, as long as they bring them back in one piece.

{Empty Asauchi X5}

Item Name: Empty Asauchi

Item Type: Weapon

Item Description: This appears as a normal katana and sheath, with a small sliver removed from the inside, from tip to guard. when placed into a natural element and 50 reiatsu is given up, the asauchi will prototype to that element. The color of the blade/sheathe will change, and out of the slit through the middle will flow that element in small quantities. When placed into the sheathe, the element stops flowing until drawn again. An Empty Asauchi can be prototyped with an enemy's technique, however this does not negate or absorb the technique in any way and the user must deal with the consequences of shoving their sword into it.

{Angel x2}

Item Name: Angel

Item Type: Weapon

Item Description: In it's sheath, Angel looks like a pocket knife of three inches in length. this makes it easily concealable. When the sheath's clasp is removed, the true length appears, being ten feet long and very thin. ((think Sephiroth's blade)) While wielding this blade, the user's level of light aura makes the blade glow a pale yellow color that varies in intensity. At 100 Light Aura, this sword could be an effective source of light in a dark environment, but not enough to cause blinding. This sword has an exceptional range to keep opponents at bay, but requires a 2 in swords to wield effectively.

{Demon x2}

Item Name: Demon

Item Type: Weapon

Item Description: When closed, Demon looks like a sword hilt with a clasp on top. The small size makes it easily concealable. When the clasp at the top is removed, the blade emerges, being a large buster sword five feet long and weighing 150 pounds. To wield it in two hands requires a strength of 150, and to wield it in one hand requires a strength of 250. Demon has the natural ability to bash through defenses, like sword blocks and shields, as if the user's strength was 50% higher due to the large weight that it possesses.

{Blast Boots x5}

Item Name: Blast Boots

Item Type: Worn/Weapon

Item Description: A simple pair of boots in varying colors, all earthen, such as brown and black. In the sole of these boots are small absorbers. These absorb air around the wearer and can release it in a powerful kick. It takes one post of non use to charge it back up again after the air is released. This air isn’t devastatingly powerful, however it can force an opponent back, break bones if applied in the right location, blow a door open, among other things.

{Spirit Knuckles x2}
Item Name: Spirit Knuckles

Item Type: Weapon

Item Description:This weapon appears as an ordinary pair of bronze knuckles, resizable to fit various finger sizes if need be. For a cost of 50 reiatsu, it can can form a one foot long blade off of the knuckles, like a middle eastern katar, formed entirely of reiatsu. The blade itself obviously won’t meet the cutback effect, but if the user punches all the way to the fist then they will receive the cutback due to the fist impacting. The blade lasts 5 posts per 50 reiatsu given up and is refreshable.

{Wave x2}
Item Name: Wave

Item Type: Weapon

Item Description: The blade named wave appears to be an ordinary katana with a jagged edge that looks like a wave alongside the sharp side of the blade from tip to guard. There is as small button on the underside of the hilt’s pommel, and when pressed, the jagged edge vibrates back and forth like a chainsaw. This weapon is especially potent against raw flesh and Hierro as well. It doesn’t bypass Hierro inherently, however it delivers 5 hits in a single instance of contact, and even more hits in a prolonged contact, quickly wearing down the shield’s durability. Due to the shaky nature of a chainsaw, it is extremely difficult to perform fancy tricks with the blade while it is on.

[Takashi Kuchiki]

The Kuchiki entered the area of the 11th division as its new Fukutaichou. Many of the people greeted this shinigami. They were far too humble, him being a Kuchiki and unseated only a day ago. He knew though that someone somewhere probably was speaking behind his back. He didn't pay much attention aside from the hellos and respectful bows he got. He held a manilla folder which he walked towards the Captain's quarters. With a knock, the Fukutaichou entered, giving a bow to his captain. "Sir, Kuchiki Takashi reporting". He said with a light bow. He walked up to his desk and handed him the folder or placed it on the desk if he was out and he'd spoken to no one.

The report was detailed with Takashi's flaws in combat:

"Failure in combat comes through lessons learned during said time. The failures I have shown, or rather, areas to improve on were as follows. There was too many times I had shown my ability to my opponent. So many times that they were able to guess what was coming next. Another one would be the lack of control over my weapons. I hadn't the idea how to utilize the throwing aspect of my shikai. In addition, there still needs to be training on how to utilize it in different ways. A sword or any weapon isn't simply attacking and defending. There were many openings I had given utilizing attacks that were hit or miss. They were reckless attacks such as my spin attack. It cost me far too much to utilize it and damaging my own body in a fight, or a spar, was unwise. I had exerted myself far too much during the fight. There was no reason to continually attack. Rather, there should have been time to gauge my opponent. I had rushed in far too quickly and attacked. Another key factor is underestimation. I had underestimated a captain, not releasing shikai right away. This shouldn't be the case, I should have released full out. As far as my evaluation, this is what I have come out with. I require more training with a higher officer and more combat experience as well.

Iro happened to be in his office when his new Vice Captain stopped by, and he took the report that he had asked for and glanced over it. "Good report. Has facts, little opinion, and an action plan to improve. You may proceed to follow through and train with a higher officer. May I recommend one of our fellow nobles, the Kawada? Captain Kenryoku and Captain Shade could provide you with the combat experience you need before your men rely on you in the thick of enemy territory."

[Takashi Kuchiki]

Takashi gave another very light bow as the Captain spoke. "I am honored you think so Taichou. As for your recommendation, I shall seek them out immediately. Is there any other order of business I am required for Taichou?". Takashi spoke with his same near emotionless and bored expression. "If not, I shall take my leave sir."

The Captain nodded his head in response to his cousin's bow. "You are dismissed."
