A letter went out to the Gotei 13 Squads, petitioning a joint group of unseated to mid-tier officers for an investigation. Even the omnitskudo and the Kidou Corps was petitioned. The letter was simple, explaining the problem that was being had and how it could effect the Soul Society
---Gotei 13---
There has been a small issue with the food supply as of yet, seeing as the farmer's crops of tasty and wholesome potatoes has been vanishing. If a small group of Shinigami could investigate the farms, that'd be great. Also, there are reports that the Land of the Living will be having the same problems. Two teams are requested. The team staying in the Soul Society can meet at the East Gate, and the team going to the Land of the Living will group up at the Senkaimon. Please hurry, for most of the more impoverished Rukongai districts can afford nothing but potatoes, and they enjoy those potatoes very much.
The fourth seat of Squad 6, Kyomei Kuchiki, loved potatoes very much, and ate them with just about every meal. For them to disappear was a serious offense to him. So he went to the East Gate to meet up with the Soul Society investigating team. He was unsure who he would find there, but probably some new people that he'd not met before.
Namiko was strolling through the Kidou Corps. barracks in her shihakkusho when a messenger stopped in her path. Panting, he quickly stood at attention and cried out: "5th Seat Kiyomizu! You are requested to take part in a special joint squad mission by the Kidou Commander! He recieved a request for one of his officers and selected you!" He stood for a few more moments in an uncomfortable silence until Namiko raised an eyebrow. "And the mission is...?" The obviously inexperienced messenger fumbled with his pouch and pulled out a manilla envelope, Which he then handed to the fifth Seat.

Reading over the mission request, Namiko sighed: 'The loss of all those potatoes, how can we recover from it? I MUST take action! Rukongai takes precedence, the world of the living can wait. It seems I'll have to head to the east gate then.' finished, she read over the rest of the mission specifications and signed her assent to the mission. She then handed the request back to the messenger."Tell the Commander I will be accepting this mission and am heading to the Rukongai Task Force." Saluting and with a "Yes Ma'am!", the messenger took the envelope and dashed away.
As Namiko began to walk towards her quarters to collect her equipment, Namiko began to ponder the mission. 'Rukongai? Potatoes? This mission must be important. I better pack for a hard one.'

A day earlier “Alright listen up students. We have decided to plan a ‘field trip’. Think of it as work experience. You will each be given different missions that will be very low key. The point is that you’ll be able to go on some experience with full fledged Shinigami, they will be very low key missions that even the weakest will be able to go on. You will each get your assignments tomorrow!” The professor said. Itou wasn’t very excited, he didn’t care for it at all. He decided if he wanted to see what being a Shinigami was like then it made sense but still, it seemed sort of uninteresting. It was good experience but it seemed that it would be like a simple routine field trip. Nonetheless Itou figured he might as well go for it so he wondered who he would be paired with and what he would have to do.
The next day So it was time. Itou was ready, he had his newly forged zanpakuto, his academy students robes so people could identify him. His academy student robes where white with black trousers. He had a purple string trying it together and he wore usual shinigami sandals. He kept his black sheath on his side and his katana inside of it. He had black fingerless gloves which were good for gripping his sword. For an academy student Itou was a very proficient swordsman, he had already developed a fighting style by himself although it was still far from complete.
As Itou walked down the path he realized that seretei was a big and beautiful place. There were large buildings, prisons and squad barracks all over the place. He walked by a few Shinigami who were doing their work and guarding but other than that most of them stayed inside. “This will be me someday, I know it will.” Itou said quietly to himself as he walked to the squad 13 barracks. On the way he had gotten lost a few times but now he knew he was here.
Itou walked through the courtyard, he paid no attention to the many unseated Shinigami that walked by him. Itou didn’t care, he simply paid no attention and continued moving through towards the senkimon. Naturally squad 13 had been informed so they opened the senkimon as soon as he got there, Itou the jumped through, into the world of the living. As he ran through he wondered what modern day Scotland looked like, this was simply an exercise, nothing more, nothing less. He leaped out, at first he only saw rushing wind and then he landed. He kept his hand on his zanpakuto and kept it ready to draw it at short notice

Kyomei was already at the East Gate when Namiko arrived with all of her supplies that she had retrieved from her room. As she arrived, she'd notice the powerful fourth seat in front of her. He was one rank higher than her, officially, but with her adept level of Energy Sensory she'd understand that he had an immense reiatsu signature. It was obvious that he was holding himself back to avoid hurting people with his presence. He was quite short for a man of the Seireitei, only measuring 5'3", and his hair was a light brown, of medium length. He shook the hair out of his eyes and examined the Soul Reaper that approached him. "Ah, they sent a Fifth Seat. It is a low ranked mission after all. Let me introduce myself. I am Kyomei Kuchiki, fourth seat to Squad 6. And you are? Also, the more important question, where is your Zanpakutou... It is war time after all."
The Kuchiki raised an eyebrow towards Namiko. She could have forgotten it for all he knew. A Technique Master was a very rare occurrence in the Soul Society, and Shinigami did not generally assume that because there was no Zanpakutou belted on the other's side that they were one. Kyomei himself was a Technique Master, though that wasn't purely obvious as there was a sword belted to his side, as well as the fact that he was part of a typical Squad. Whether she explained about her Zanpakutou or not, Kyomei would simply nod and beckon for her to follow him. He would lead her out through the East Gate into the Rukongai, and a short walk would lead them to the area where the farmers had most recently lost their potatoe crop. Kyomei nodded to Namiko as if to say, "Go do something". The Kuchiki seemed to be an escort more than a teammate for this mission, so the fifth seat would do a lot of the work, probably.
Itou would find no problem getting to the Land of the Living, though he'd probably find the Senkaimon a little bit scary, if not creepy, if it was his first time through the tunnel of sludge, being chased by the sweeper. He made it through just fine, as even an average human could muster up the speed required to get through it if they had the determination, and Itou was much faster than an average human. He emerged from the Senkaimon in beautiful Scotland, with a nice salty breeze and a lovely ocean view past the cliff that he stood on. If he turned around, he'd see a sprawling landscape of farms stretching a good ways, but no farm hands in sight despite it being harvest season and the middle of the day. Itou was not in a Gigai if he was able to place his hand on his Asauchi, meaning the spiritually uninclined could not see him, so investigation of the populace would be impossible. So how would Itou go about the initial investigation before any other Shinigami showed up?

Arriving at the East gate, Namiko finally met this mysterious shinigami. "He's not as tall as I thought he'd be" was her first thought. As he was her superior officer, it was only right that she report in to him. "Namiko Kyomizu, reporting for duty sir." She said, then handed him her mission papers. They soon began walking towards their destination, and in so doing, struck up a conversation. He first asked her if she had left her zanpakuto at home, to which she had replied that she had none, because she was a Technique Master. This actually seemed to sunrise him for a moment or two, before they continued on.
Namiko found herself standing in an abandonment farm beside Kyomei. Namiko had to admit, when she'd first met the 4th Seat of Squad 6, she couldn't help but being a little awed. Here was a shinigami (only one rank higher than her!) that had reitsu as high as a captain's! Her energy Sensory Skill only augmented this fact to her. However, his reitsu felt... different from most shinigami she'd seen... But very familiar all the same. Shaking herself out of her reverie, Namiko shook her head."Get your head in the game!" No matter how... intriguing... this guy was , she had a job to do.She looked around the small farm."This is... just sad..." Was what was going through her mind as she examined the farm.
First and foremost was the lack of activity. Farms are usually lively places, full of the calls of animals AND people. This farm did't make a sound though. Then there was the debilitating condition the farm itself was in. Fences torn down, roof collapsed, it was almost like a GHOST FARM. "I better start looking around for some kind of clues or something." Continuing to analyze the farm, Namiko opened up her other senses; taste, touch, and hearing were all enhanced. Her awareness broadening, Nami thought she began to feel something... "Is this reitsu? It feels so strange..." Turning to Kyomei, she asked him: Can you feel that strange presence? Or is it just me?

Namiko explored the abandoned farm with all of her senses, her Energy Sensory, her sight, her hearing, and her sense of taste. For sight, she saw the tops of the potatoe plants, the inedible part, was still sticking up out of the ground. For hearing, she heard nothing out of order. For taste... well the air kinda tasted dusty due to the dry ground that the two Shingami were turning into dust as they walked along it. For Energy Sensory, which was the most honed of the six senses, she would sense something about the size of a pig just underneath the surface of the ground, not moving or doing anything abnormal. Namiko's physical senses were only of an athletic human, and her energy sensory skills weren't spectacular, so she might have missed things with her precursory scan. But then again, there was the pig sized thing under the ground a few feet in front of her. Kyomei did nothing, just watching the fifth seat and checking the horizon for anything that might be incoming.

Getting no response to her question from Kyomei, Namiko decided to investigate the intriguing presence further. It appeared to be an object about the size of pig a few feet under-ground. It seemed to radiate some kind of reitsu from what Namiko could tell from her energy sensor capabilities. Thinking it to be some kind of clue, Namiko thought to take a closer look. Holding out her hand, She focused her reitsu for a moment, and formed 3 Gramayre rods. These rods were blue, meaning they were the lowest level of Gramayre, and about 3 feet long each. They were shaped differently from her usually rods, these had a flat end. Quickly manipulating them to work, she set them upon digging up the substance.
As the fGramayre rods began to dig, Namiko walked over to her so-far-silent, superior. She didn't know all that much about him, other than that he was of the Kuchiki clan and an extremely powerful shinigami. She had heard rumors that he specialized in kidou, and was more powerful in the art than almost anyone else in the Seireitei. This interested her immensely as a fellow kidou user, and she wanted to pick his brain a bit. Both on the Investigation and a little bit about his personal life amd if he could share any tips to a fellow kidou user. "So.." She said after a few moments, "potatoes, huh?"

As Itou arrived at the Senkaimon, his partner was already awaiting him. Aramis Tezuka, one whom Itou had crossed blades with before. He looked stronger than he had when they had faced off, but his eyes were the same. Bored but questioning. Eyes that seemed to examine everything around him with meticulous detail, before determining it not being worth the interest he had initially put into it. He raised his ungloved hand to his face to adjust his glasses slightly. If he recognized Itou, he gave no indication of it.
It seemed Itou wasn't interested in talking either however, and was eager to begin the mission, for he jumped through the Senkaimon without a word. Aramis followed him at a brisk but leisurely pace. "Why are potatoes so important? If it were takoyaki it might be more interesting. Potatoes are so basic. Too rudimentry." He commented as he traversed between the worlds and emerged in Scotland. Aramis had not slid his zanpakuto into his belt, but rather carried it in one hand. As it had been when he had fought Itou, while the sleeve on one half of his body was short, exposing a slender arm, the opposite sleeve covered the entire arm, wrist and hand, draping over it like a child wearing a robe that was too big for them.
"I've never been to Scotland." Aramis commented. "But wasn't it Ireland that was in lack of potatoes at one time?" He commented. "Proximity is unusual, but likely coincidental." His voice was airy, as if he were in another world altogether. "Unusual place to base operations, if there are any here, but I suppose there are plenty of hiding places. Would have suggested scans for notable reiatsu signatures before we arrived." He added on, disapprovingly.
When Itou arrived he saw Aramis. Itou hadn’t seen Aramis since they had crossed blades as a friendly spar back in the soul society. Itou examined Scotland quickly, it wasn’t that much different from when he last went there in his human life a long time ago. Aramis didn’t seem to recognise him but Itou didn’t mind that, he probably did but he just didn’t say anything. Itou brushed off his white academy robes to clean them off slightly. Itou could tell just be looking. Since their last encounter they had both gotten a lot stronger. When you were still at the bottom you trained hard to make it to the top, obviously they would’ve gotten stronger.
When Aramis started talking about Scottland Itou was thinking. He turned around and saw a farm there. Well if the whole point is to find who’s stealing potatoes so maybe I can check what’s going on in this farm. Itou thought. Itou made the gesture to Aramis to follow him and started walking towards the farm. Whether or not Aramis followed was his choice but Itou was going to the farm. If nothing interrupted Itou on the way then he’d continue walking to the farm and into the farm, he could then walk down the path way so he could carefully avoid the fields were crops were growing.

"So... Potatoes, huh? Namiko had begun to dig at the object she had located in the dirt. While her shovels scooped dry, cracked dirt away from the area, the fifth seat turned to Kyomei to chat a little. "I'm not really here for the potatoes, as good as they are. I'm here to evaluate the newest member of the Kidou Corps, which one day I will control." Namiko wouldn't have a lot of time, or any time really, to respond to that statement, because as soon as the Kuchiki finished what he was saying, the Gramayre shovel got the last shovel full of dirt and hit the pig sized object. What was as big as a pig turned out to be a simple box, and by hitting it with the pure reiatsu, red circles started to form on top of it. There was an audible clicking sound, and the box started to play music and open.
The music was slow in tempo, very much like a child's lullaby. As the music started to play, the red circles that had formed on top of the box started to detach from the side of the metal, actually floating in the air as they spun and grew. What was thought to be circles was actually very tiny words that became more visible as they grew. The first circle to grow had a single repeating phrase. THE EARTH AND ITS INHABITANTS CRY OUT Did this mean the Earth as in the Land of the Living, or the earth as in the ground? It wasn't clear. The all caps didn't help much either. Each instance of that phrase was separated by a series of non-Germanic letters, but neither were they any sort of Kanji. It was of no language that Kyomei or Namiko would have ever seen. Quite possibly no one in the Soul Society nor the Land of the Living would have ever seen such characters.
Meanwhile, Aramis and Itou would be ambused by some strange contraption. Surrounding them on the cardinal points of North, East, West, and South were devices that just popped out of the ground, forming a circle approximately ten meters in diameter. These devices looked like small garden lamps, with a small pole that emerged from the ground and a glass bulb on top. They only were about a foot tall, if that, and had a red glow to them. The glow started spinning, to reveal red circles that grew to also form words like the box was doing in the Soul Society. As the red circles formed, four talons appeared in between the four light fixtures, creating a bubble that appeared over top of Aramis and Itou. The two Shinigami were trapped, with no way to break out. They'd just have to watch as the circles grew and the message was revealed. The message that followed was the same in the Soul Society where Namiko and Kyomei watched.
THE EARTH AND ITS INHABITANTS CRY OUT THE GATE HAS BEEN OPENED AMONG THE SOIL AND THE STONE THE GATE HAS BEEN OPENED FIRE AND BRIMSTONE SHALL FALL THE GATE HAS BEEN OPENED PROCEED, INTRUDERS, AND ANSWER THE CALL
As the circles had now grown upwards and outwards to form a cone seven feet high and three feet in diameter at the largest point, suddenly they stopped growing. The message dissolved away and the cone filled itself in, tipping downwards to point at the inside of the bubble in the Land of the Living, and the new fifth seat in the Soul Society. A swirling vortex of stars appeared inside the cone, and there was a flash of light and a pull so strong that nothing could overcome it. It would be a waste to even attempt to do so. Namiko was sucked in, as well as Aramis and Itou. Kyomei stood alone in the Soul Society when the light faded, leaving behind a crater where the box used to be. Namiko was gone. In the Land of the Living, no one would have been the wiser, as Aramis and Itou, as well as the trap, had been invisible. They too were gone, though there was no damage to the landscape.
The three Shinigami would probably wake up at nearly the same time to find themselves alone. Their eyes would be hurting from the intense flash of light, as well as be unable to see for a moment. Aramis would be the first to recover, as he had the best eyesight, and Itou would be the last to recover, as he had the worst eyesight of the group. When the light faded from their eyes, they would find themselves in a massive cavern made up solely of dirt. The walls were dirt, the ceiling was dirt, the ground was dirt. It would have been considered more a tunnel than a cavern if it didn't appear so natural. On the walls were a few torches, though they didn't appear normal, as the flame had a green tint to it and floated off the edge of the wooden stick that was attached to the wall.
If they looked around, they'd see that behind them was a closed gateway, inscribed with the same types of characters that the message had appeared with. No sort of effort would budge the doors, as if they were made up of the ground itself. The gateway was made up of the only stone present in the area, however what appeared to be dirt and felt like dirt had the durability of incredibly strong stone, resisting any attempts to dig at it. So there appeared to be only one way to go, and that was away from the gate and further down the cavern/tunnel. As soon as each of them walked a few feet, they'd notice something at the edge of the path, just past an opening in the far wall. Sitting on the ground was a singular potatoe, clear of any and all dirt, just resting on top of the soil.

As Itou walked down the path his animal like instinct picked it up as soon as he heard the sound that was made. Itou instantly drew his zanpakuto and got into a ready stance, he wasn’t paying any attention to Aramis right now. When the glowing started Itou shielded his eyes and a bubble appeared over them. Now Itou was worried, what the hell was going on? “What the hell?!” Itou exclaimed as he looked around, he desperately wanted to find a way to get out, he didn’t want to die. He was still so young, he was still an academy student, he didn’t want to die before his Shinigami days ended, he couldn’t, he simply wouldn’t.
Suddenly Itou felt himself sucked into some type of vortex. He screamed very loudly as he felt himself sucked in at rapid speed. Suddenly everything went white, Itou woke up, he still couldn’t see a damn thing but he knew he wasn’t dead or and that he was conscious. The ground felt hard and dusty in a way, it was as if he was surrounded by dirt in a garden, after about two minutes of simply laying there due to his bad eye sight his sight returned to him. Itou coughed as he heaved himself up.
Itou looked around, he was scanning his surroundings. His head was filled with questions but he knew he was alone, he wondered if Aramis had survived. Itou saw that there was a door behind him. Itou picked up his zanpakuto, sheathed it and cracked his knuckles. He made several attempt to push it open, all of them failed. Itou grunted and screamed in his futile attempts to open the gate so he could get out. Itou turned around and looked forward. “It seems the only way to go is forwards...” Itou said quietly to himself.
Itou took a deep breath and continued down the cavern. Maybe if he was lucky he could find a way out. Maybe if he was even more lucky he could find Aramis as well. All Itou knew was that he couldn’t stay in here alone. As Itou continued down the tunnel he saw something, it was a potato? Itou stopped and looked down at it. He looked at it, puzzled. "Is this were the potato's have been disappearing to, underground?" Itou picked up the potato. He examined it, it seemed normal, it seemed like a normal potato.
Itou put the potato in his pocket, he was slightly confused. He decided it would be best to continue on further down the tunnel. After all he might find more potatoes and the whole point was to find out why potatoes were disappearing. He might need to take the potato back to the soul society for further examining so he decided to keep it, you never know, he might need it later on. Itou was simply deep in thought as he continued down the tunnel.

As the bubble formed around them, Aramis observed it with what seemed to be a mute interest. "Not unlike one of the forbidden kido, that separates those inside it from the outside world. Likely unbreakable for individuals of our level." He stated, without sounded particularly concerned. "However. Nonlethal, and not even harmful. Most likely intended to hold the target long enough for--" He was then interrupted by the message that appeared in the air. He stepped up by Itou to observe it.
"What the hell?" "Hell? I should hope not, I've had enough of that place. That's a C." Aramis commented quietly. And then they were gone. When he came to, Itou was nowhere in sight. "Unlikely that he left on his own, which means we have been separated." He mused. So. He was alone now. Completely alone. Aramis observed the shackle on his wrist for a moment. Would it be safe to....? Aramis's hand hovered over the shackle on his left hand for a moment, before pulling back. No. Even if there wasn't anyone, he didn't want to have to face that.
He then observed the walls for a moment, and brought his left hand up and across, creating a loud grating sound, as the concealed talons on his left hand gouged scratches into the dirt. "Hmmm.... should take some back for analysis..." He considered, taking his index finger and chipping at the wall with the claw until he could get a bit of the wall to break away. He swiftly picked it up and then continued down the passage until he got to the potato room.
Aramis, however, was less concerned with the potato and more interested in the opening in the wall, which he turned to look through. Potatoes were uninteresting. He had been drafted for this assignment, he had not chosen it himself. There was nothing interesting in that aspect of this assignment. It was the tertiary information that held value to Aramis. He was much more interested in the party performing this work, than the work itself (though the "why" was a question to be answered, indeed).

Iwamichi had been walking for a long time. The afternoon heat was starting to get to her. For as long as she could remember now, she had just been walking and walking with no specific destination in mind. A large field spread out before her. Maybe, if she squinted, she could see a village off in the distance. Sighing, she perched herself along the trunk of a tree. The wind blew softly through the tree. She was pretty sure this was Scotland, but she didn't care if it was or not.
After leaving the Soul Society, Iwa just traveled the countryside looking for things to do. There had to be some way to get stronger without all the rules of the Shinigami. Basically, all she had been doing was training right now. When would her skills actually be put to the test? She was getting nowhere right now; she had to become stronger somehow. That was her only goal. Nothing else was even remotely interesting. As Iwa rested in the shade, she noticed a bright red glow above her head. The color intensified, and she could feel the earth shake a little as if something was emerging from the ground. "Well, now, looks like something is going to happen after all. However, it'll probably be useless, a waste, a bore. She continued to look toward the sky and saw huge letters come into view.
All of a sudden, things turned black. Iwa didn't know when she finally regained consciousness, but it took a while afterwards to regain her sight as well. All she could remember was a flood of red light. She slowly stood up and put her hand on the wall beside her. It looked like dirt, but felt like stone. Somehow, she had been transported inside a cave who knows where. She began to crack her knuckles repeatedly. The air was pretty stale- it didn't seem like she would suffocate, but it was possible. Looks like she needed to focus on finding the exit. Sighing again, Iwa head onward through the cave. "Let's see where this leads then"
There really wasn't much to see inside the cave. It was damp and cool though- a nice change to the heat of Iwa's earlier location. Iwa entered a long hallway to her right in her search for the exit. Suddenly, she heard a soft squish from underneath her left foot. She stepped back and looked down to notice a potato- now squished- lying on the ground. What was a potato doing here? This did not seem like the kind of place that was fertile enough to grow potatoes, let alone vegetables of any size. She didn't totally feel like stopping, since it was just a potato, so she continued on her way. All there was in this weird cave was a potato so far. How was any of this going to help her achieve her one goal?
Post by Kyomei Kuchiki on Jul 3, 2013 7:13:14 GMT -5
OOC: Namiko was not teleported from the Soul Society into the cave. She has been magically teleported from the thread, and Iwa has taken her place, by plothax of course.
IC: Iwamichi and Itou touched the potatoes at the same time, incidently. While the former stepped on the potatoe and the latter picked up the potatoe, in their respective tunnels they would start to feel a rumble. Aramis would feel a slight shake as the other tunnels vibrated, but nothing was happening in his section of the cave, as he had not touched his potatoe. Iwamichi would be totally caught off guard as dirt began to drop onto her head at a steady trickle, and Itou would find that his was more periodical. Thump. Thump. Thump. With every beat dirt fell from the ceiling, falling on his head. For some reason, touching the potatoe had not been a good idea, and the Shinigami and the ex-Shinigami were close to finding out why.
If Itou waited, or proceeded towards the noise, or ran away from the noise to find himself trapped where he began, he'd eventually see what was coming towards him. It was a large quadrupedal animal without eyes coming right towards him. The pointed ears and the large nose on its head were clear indications that this beast could hear and smell very acutely. If Itou knew about ground dwelling creatures, he'd recognize it as a giant star nosed mole. It was black, with thick fur, and large tentacles emerging from its nose, in the shape of a star. It was coming to investigate the disturbance of the potatoe that had been left as a trap, and it didn't look happy nor peaceful. No, it came to eat Itou and suck on his bones if he was incapable of taking it down.
Iwamichi, when she found what pursuing her, would find that there were a hundred small moles, just as blind as the star nosed mole that Itou was facing, though not nearly as ugly. They were much smaller, normal mole sized, being able to fit in the space created by cupped hands. They may be small, but they have sharp teeth and were coming towards Iwamichi in hopes of eating her and cleaning up the remains. These moles moved as one mass, ready to move as if they were one body. How she would go about fighting these moles was a question that she'd have to answer fast, since they weren't particularly slow themselves.
Aramis, not being plagued by moles, would find that his tunnel opened up to see a room that was dominated by a large central fixture. There was a massive pile of potatoes in the center of the room that was easily as big as two or three football fields in length. On top of that pile was a brown throne, which was probably also made of potatoes. On the throne sat a man who was completely black, from his clothes to his skin. He wasn't black as in the ethnicity of africans, no, his skin was the color of night, as were his clothes and even his irises. He seemed as though he was made up of a shadow. His hair was of medium length, and his arms were incredibly thin. From his wrists hung ten elastic bands, five on each hand. He wore an outfit that could barely be made out, but with Aramis' mastery of Analysis he'd be able to point it out right away. It was a Shino Academy uniform.
"Ah... Aramis Tezuka... The one with the hard arm... I hoped that you'd be first... Come to me... Tell me of the World above..." The voice was familiar, Aramis might recognize it, he might not. It was someone that he had fought in his recent past, not terribly long ago, someone who had helped him grow a little. After just a few seconds, if that, of analyzing, Aramis should easily be able to understand who was standing before him. It was Kyomei Kuchiki, formerly Mitsukaru, though he didn't seem the same. In looks, he was nearly identical, lacking some of the muscle mass and the scars of the version that Aramis had physically fought. How was Kyomei down here when he hadn't been in the Land of the Living with Itou and Aramis? Aramis could speculate, or he might already know. What came next was up to the Nakkabakki.
