Another Vice Captain had been promoted! Kaen had only heard the news recently, as he'd been buried in paperwork recently. Gah. He missed Rin! Since he'd been promoted they hadn't replaced his old third seat position, which meant he was forced to work double time. Aaaah. I miss her..... ;.; Kaen thought. "I miss her too....." Kaen twitched, the classic anime vein appearing on his forehead. "You and I miss her for completely different reasons you damn pervert!" Kaen tried to drown out his Zanpakuto's perverted chuckle by headbutting one of the stone columns in the barracks. It cracked and crumbled behind the blow, collapsing to the ground.
"Arara... when's that Vice Captain gonna show... I wanted to get a feel for him..." Kaen remarked. He liked knowing the strengths and weaknesses of his allies. "Maybe it's a woman! Hohoho....""HE'S A GUY, YOU INSUFFERABLE PERVERT!" Ugh... how had Kaen ended up with a Zanpakuto like Hachiryuu. Drove him fricking crazy.... Kyousei had better show up soon, or he'd probably arrive to the sight of Kaen physically trying to beat up his sword.

Kyousei sighed. He had been playing games for about an hour now. He tended to lose track. "Oh crap I remember I have to train with that guy, what's his name, Kaen I think?" Kyousei asked himself as he switched off the console. He was still in his flowery white robe that he wore when he was at home. No it wasnt girly. He thought it was pretty cool and comfortable. Kyousei then changed into his Shinigami robes, took his zanpakuto and left his small house.
It didn't take long for him to actually get there. He had to run and run for a little bit but he wasn't slow and he had pretty decent stamina. After about ten minutes or so he was at the barracks. Kyousei quickly brushed some dirt out of his hair and entered. "Hey I'm Kyousei Kitso, the squad five vice captain, nice to meet yea," Kyousei said in a pretty cheerful voice. "You're pretty cheerful today, what happened?" Tsuin Tsuname asked. I finally finished my game. Kyousei said in his thoughts.
Tsuin Tsuname gave a little sigh. "You boys and your video games, we'll never understand it, why not go and do somethings in real life in stead of sitting on your ass playing as a guy who doesn't even exist!" She said. Kyousei gritted his teeth as he said. "Shut the fuck up and let's just just get this training session over and done with okay?" Kyousei said, he pretty much hated it when the other half of his zanpakuto was rude. The other one adored him but the second one hated him. Kyousei actually suspected the other one was the reason he didn't have bankai yet, because she simply wouldn't give it to him.
"Sorry my zanpakuto's being a little pain in the ass, one half likes me but the other one is just plain rude!" Kyousei said dismissively as he drew the long katana. "But it shouldn't hinder my abilities too much!" Kyousei said cheerfully.
Kaen grinned as his opponent showed up and promptly started complaining about his zanpakuto. Hell, didn't he know that feeling... "Nice ta meetcha Kyousei. Kaen Youji, Vice Cap'n of squad 7." He responded. "So glad you could make it. Let's have a good clean round, that hopefully isn't gonna end in anyone going to Squad 4, eh?" Contrary to the last time he fought with Vice Captains, he didn't want to send anyone to the emergency ward. He only did so if he was honestly pushed that far, and was concerned about getting killed himself. As long as that didn't happen, Kyousei was probably gonna be alright.
Kaen grinned a bit. "I hope you're made of some decent stuff. I haven't had a really good fight in awhile." He commented. "Even if it's just sparring." He added, cracking his neck, and then shifting one leg back into a Karate fighting stance. "They say you can learn a lot about someone from how they fight. What kind of a man are you...?" He asked with a smirk. He could have lunged into an attack right then, but at least wanted his opponent to get his guard up.

As soon as he Kaen dropped into his fighting stance Kyousei went on high alert. The man seemed like a dangerous hand to hand fighter. That probably meant no kido but that was alright for Kyousei. Kyousei kept his guard up. He decided it would be best if he went on the offensive first. "Bakudo number nine," Kyousei began to chant. This would set Kaien to gaurd against the geki. Before he said 'geki' Kyousei suddenly disappeared. He used shunpo to get a few feet behind Kaen. This was so Kaen didn't turn around and grab him or elbow him."Hado number four byakurai!" Kyousei said as he fired the white beam. He aimed it a his shoulder. If Kaen turned around it would slam into his other shoulder.
If Kaen was hit this set him up for the second attack that was coming. Now Kyousei was still physically weak, but that didn't mean he couldn't stab someone with a katana right? Kyousei then attempted to stab Kaen in the gut, not a hard stab, just a pierce. He didn't want to get his sword stomach in his stomach or something. Kyousei the ran backkwards, ready in case Kaen tried to charge at him or something, he was just trying to feel out Kaens abilities at this point.
Post by Kaen Youji on Feb 22, 2013 17:34:30 GMT -5
Kyousei's feint worked. As Kyousei began his Bakudo chant, Kaen shot forwards like a bullet. He wasn't using his full speed. Kaen was bolting at Kyousei at approximately around 120 miles per hour (500 speed). Pretty damn fast, and twice as fast as Kyousei but not even close to his top speed. As he charged though, Kyousei vanished with Shunpo. Kuh.... baiting him? Not bad at all. "Hado number four, Byakurai!" Kaen did the only thing he could do in this situation. He ducked low to the ground, as the hado spell crackled over him. This wouldn't have worked if it had been aimed a bit lower, but the shoulder was high enough.
"Yare yare.... close one, ne?" Kaen mused as he spun back to face Kyousei. Whoops! He was coming in with a thrust to Kaen's gut! Had they been of more equivalent speed this might have worked too, but Kaen was just a hair too fast. Still moving at a slower speed, of around 500, Kaen slipped around the tip of Kyousei's blade, using Tai Sabaki. A sidestepping technique from Karate that involved dodging an attack while simultaneously moving towards the opponent. Kaen dodged off to the left of the attack, while stepping diagonally towards his adversary, Kyousei's sword piercing through the space to the right of the shinigami.
Now was the time for a counterattack. Kaen's blow was lightning quick, compared to Kyousei, and intended to catch Kyousei while he was still trapped in midthrust. One couldn't defend and attack simultaneously afterall. Well. They couldn't most of the time anyways. Kaen's right arm shot out in a forceful palm strike aimed at Kyousei's chest. Even though Kaen was restricting his strength, and hiding his true speed, this blow would come in at twice the speed Kyousei was capable of moving, and hit him like a blow from a fully grown Grizzly Bear! That was going to hurt a lot.
But Kaen wasn't done just yet. The counter punch was only the beginning. Kaen's leg moved forwards, keeping close to Kyousei. If Kaen was close, it would be very difficult to attack with a sword, and he could intercept Kyousei's kido. In other words. Hand to hand combat would be king in such a scenario. He used his step to try and sweep the closest leg to him, to off-balance Kyousei, and prevent him from retreating. Trapping Kyousei in close range combat with him. He had several moves he could attack with from a successful sweep, but they would all be useless if Kyousei was able to somehow avoid the sweep-- assuming he could get past the pain of being struck by the palm thrust in the chest, which would probably have winded him.
How would the new Vice Captain deal with this foe, who was so much faster, and stronger than him, in his home court of combat?
Post by Kyousei Kitso on Feb 22, 2013 18:04:41 GMT -5
Damn Kaen was quick, really quick. Strong as well ,if he did that much with his hands Kyousei did not want to even think what he could do when he released. He had speed over Kyousei obviously so Kyousei would have to think of an alternative to deal with Kaen's blows. As Kaen ducked under the attack Kyousei knew he was in for pain. As Kaen punched him Kyousei grunted loudly as he felt the attack connect with his chest.
Kyousei went flying backwards with that blow to his chest. Now usually Kyousei would've been coughing in pain at this attack but he had pain tolerence so it did not affect him that much. Kyousei groaned, this guy was quick, definitely much quicker than him. It was like Kubi all over again, spamming kido probably wouldn't work. Kyousei didn't have much experience fighting shinigami like Kaen but he got the general idea of how they fight.
They used hand to hand combat, rarely using their swords, but they usually had low reiatsu strength so their swords would shatter like glass.Kyousei saw Kaen rush at him. Before he could react he tripped Kyousei, making him fall flat on his back, almost knocking the wind out of him. Kaen stood over Kyousei like a giant. He looked like he was going to prepare a sort of attack, Kyousei did NOT want to take an attack from him since a hard attack from Kaen would probably spell instant death for Kyousei.
Bakudo number 4 geki! This would neutralize all movement Kaen had therefore stop Kaen and stop what any attacks he was planning once Kyousei was on the floor. Also since Kyousei had a much higher reiatsu strength it would take Kaen quite a while to get out, even though the kido was mentally cast. Kyousei rolled so he was out of the way of Kaen. "Hado number thirty three sokatsui!" Kyousei screamed. Now Kyouseis reiatsu strength was huge. His sokatsui would be ahuge wave, way bigger than Kaens body. Since Kaen was bounded no matter how much speed he had it'd be near impossible for him to dodge the huge wave of reiatsu. "Eat that!" Kyousei said to himself.

Bakudo #9, Geki. Whether or not Kyousei mentally cast the spell or not he had to direct it. Kaen's sweep had put Kyousei on his back, which meant this battle was going to quickly transition to ground fighting. Trying to restrict Kaen's movement with Geki was a good idea, and would have forced a release under most circumstances. But there was a weakness in most kido spells. The same weakness prevalent in firing a gun. You had to aim it, before it would hit anything.
When Kyousei's arm shot up to cast the hex on Kaen, the shinigami responded with a swift kick to slam his arm aside, redirecting the kido away from him. Kaen immediately began to drop down, pinning the offending limb's forearm with his knee so that it pointed away from him. But Kyousei was stating another spell already! Kaen had expected that, to be honest. Pin one arm, a Kido user will attack with the other. Common sense. That's why Kaen had left both of his own arms free, and pinned his first arm with his knee, instead. This was the Jiujitsu position known as Side Control.
Like before, Kyousei would actually have to lift his arm to cast the kido at Kaen. "Hado number thirty three...." As Kyousei uttered the spell name, Kaen's arms shot out, to pin Kyousei's arm back to the ground, arm bent at a ninety degree angle, palm facing the ground. If Kyousei tried to cast his Sokatsui it would blast down into the ground, and the potential backlash would hurt HIM more than it would hurt Kaen.
But there was a method to Kaen's attack as well. He'd turned his redirection movement into an attack! This was the Jiujitsu technique known as the key lock. Specifically, the Kimura joint lock. By bending the arm on a ninety degree angle, and locking it in place with both arms, and torquing the arm, pressure was put on the shoulder joint. Continual torquing could cause muscle damage, and even dislocation of the shoulder joint. However. While the current joint lock would hurt, it wouldn't cause such damage yet. Kaen had to finish the technique.
Kaen shifted his body slightly so that the front of his body was facing towards Kyousei's head, and pulled up on the arm, using it as a level to drag Kyousei's body up off the ground, being careful to maintain that Kyousei's closest arm stayed pinned by his knee, and that his other palm faced away from him. Kaen needed to get Kyousei's attacked arm up in the air, so he had room to torque it. With Kyousei's strength it was unlikely he'd be able to physically prevent this. And that was bad. Now with room to move Kyousei's arm backwards, Kaen would begin to drive the arm behind his back and twist it, to complete the Kimura lock.
He was taking it relatively easy, in case Kyousei wanted to forfeit to avoid a dislocated shoulder. Sure, Squad 4 could fix that up in about ten minutes, but it would still be extremely painful, and Kaen wasn't a particularly cruel individual (unlike his predecessor). If Kyousei wanted out, and a reset, Kaen would be more than happy to give him that, to draw out the fight. Either way, Kyousei was in a bad position. Neither of his arms could shoot kido at Kaen, and if he didn't do something soon, he was going to have a busted shoulder!

(OOC:Sorry for short post, doing this pretty late)
Kyousei now had a really big problem. Kaen had put him in some kind of funny arm lock, it actually looked like his arms where going to snap, snap like twigs. The pain was terrible, even with his pain tolerance he felt like he would lose both his arms forever if this kept up. The pain was so bad.He had never experienced a hold like this. Sure he had felt intense pain before but it really hurt to have his arms locked like this. Kyousei was going to try and fire a kido but he realized something... He couldn't cast a damn thing with his arms like this. Kyousei could feel sweat drops dripping from his face. "I've... got... to.. do...something!" Kyousei said, his face twisted in obvious pain.
His face was twisted with pain and he was turning red. Kaen really had him on the ropes, no kido and he sure as hell did not have the sufficient strength. Come on, I can't get out of this thing, if this goes on any longer my arms are going to snap like twigs. Maybe I should surrender? There's no use in having my arms broken in a sparring match! Kyousei thought to himself. "Alright Kaen I give, you win, just let me go, there's no reason to break my arms in a sparring match alright?" Kyousei said, his face turning even redder. These type of hold he had seen on television a few times and sometimes simply laughed at the guys who where tapping out. Well now he was in their position and he could see why they would ALWAYS tap out if they could not break out. Kyousei wasn't that strong after all, he only relied on his kido abilities.
Now usually Kyousei was not one to give up. His pride simply would not allow it to happen. There was one problem though. He listened to his logical side the most. Now his only choices were, give up or have your arms broken and you lose. They could still fight some more right IF Kaen decided to release him and not be a douche. "Come on Kaen release damn it!" Kyousei shouted loudly, his sweat dripping to the floor. Maybe this was not a good idea! Kyousei thought to himself, he was actually a bit annoyed that he had accepted the challenge, treating it like it was nothing. Well he was paying the price for his mistake.
If Kaen released him Kyousei would stumble forwards, holding both of his arms very tightly because he felt they were going to break. He would be panting slightly from being out of breath. "There was no need to try and snap my arms like twigs you know! I'm not an arrancar or nothing!" Kyousei said as he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "Alright I'll fight you again and I promise I won't make a hasty move like that ever again!" Kyousei said as he picked up his zanpakuto from the ground, flexed his muscles and got ready for the second round. "For real this time no more messing around kay!" Kyousei said as he dropped into a defensive stance.
Post by Kaen Youji on Feb 28, 2013 20:05:04 GMT -5
The moment Kaen heard Kyousei submit, his hold released, and he stepped back, off of Kyousei's arm so that he could get up. He even extended a hand down to Kyousei to help him to his feet if he wanted. "There was no need to try and snap my arms like twigs you know! I'm not an arrancar or nothing!" Kaen nodded in agreement after Kyousei had gotten back up and moved back a little, to create some distance between them. Not exactly fair if he started at point blank range. It would just force a repeat. "No, you're right. It is just sparring. That's why your shoulder is still in one piece~" Kaen replied. "Of course I'll give you a chance to avoid grievous harm in a sparring match, you're right. Not gonna snap an arm or anything unless you're being REALLY stupid about it. But, you're not, so I don't think either of us have to worry about that." He replied.
He saw Kyousei enter a defensive stance and responded in kind, reassuming his karate fighting stance. "Here I come." Kaen stated, and launched himself forwards. Kaen had been going a slower before, to pull Kyousei into a false sense of security. While significantly faster than his opponent before, Kaen had been cutting his speed by about 33%. Now, he was going full out, and it would be noticeably faster than before. Though, he was still holding back on his strength.
Kaen would close the distance he'd put between them in an instant, and launched Karate's reverse punch towards Kyousei's solarplexis-- a move that would undoubtedly wind him if it connected. Like before, Kaen's back leg whipped out to sweep Kyousei's leg and knock him off balance, if not make him fall over. Kaen was moving about three times as fast as Kyousei right now, but he had used the same move very deliberately. He wanted to see if Kyousei could react to it this time. Show me what you've got!

Kyousei sighed in relief when Kaen released. His hold. Kyousei sighed, he probably shouldn't have been so hasty in his attacks. This guy was obviously a close range fighter, he had heard squad 7 was a squad full of strong people so Kyousei knew one wrong move and he could end up hurt. "Of course I'll give you a chance to avoid grievous harm in a sparring match, you're right. Not gonna snap an arm or anything unless you're being REALLY stupid about it. But, you're not, so I don't think either of us have to worry about that." Kaen said. Kyousei grinned slightly in relief. He picked his zanpakuto back up.
"Here I come." Kaen said as he re assumed his karate stance and came at him with intense speed. Kyousei KNEW he had seen that stance before. Now Kyousei had good battle analysis and battle learning, with these skills he memorized his opponents stance, he therefore deduced that Kaen would attack the same way again. He was moving with blazing speed. Kyousei was not one to be hit by the same move twice. As Kaen approached quickly Kyousei shifted his body to the side, dodging the move aimed for his solarplexis. He knew a leg sweep was coming to knock him off balance and put him back in the hold.
Okay the last time that attack had hit I was winded and was screwed the moment I was too hasty, I want to make sure I don't get hit by that attack again, if I do I don't think I'll be able to get caught in the hold without having my arms broken, damn wait... A leg sweep came after this attack, I will not be caught by it again! Kyousei thought. All this thinking was happening mid battle, this thinking was happening as he moved out the way of the reverse punch. He had a quick mind and battle analysis. This meant he was always thinking to himself his opponents tendencies and attacks so he could conform to himself what was going on. If he thought about it first then it meant he was less prone to mistakes.
"Not gonna work!" Kyousei said as he used shunpo to go around Kaen and appear behind him. Hado number 33 shakkaho Kyousei mentally cast. His mental cast would be slightly weaker but enough to make a nasty burn on Kaen's back, or his front if he turned around. He did it like this because firstly, Kaen was still in mid attack, therefore making it harder to avoid. Kyousei had used shunpo as soon as he moved out the way of the reverse punch, he knew the leg sweep would come next because Kaen had used the same attack before. If he was knocked off balance he would be caugh tin the hold, or even worse. He had no idea what this vice captain was capable of so had to be careful.
Whether Kaen dodged or not Kyousei was back on the defensive. Kyousei knew it would be unwise to go close range again so moved back a few feet as soon as he fired the spell. This would serve two purposes. It would give him a good vantage point on Kaen's action and location and it would keep him out of close quarter combat with Kaen. "Alright as long as I keep my distance and react accordingly I will be fine, judging by his incredible speed and stance he is definately going to be a close fighter, if I can hit him with a few crippling kido, maybe disable his movement so he doesn't move as fast then I should be fine. Damn I guess that means using a few bakudo. Kyousei thought as he got ready for Kaen's next move.
Reiatsu:2025
Last Edit: Mar 2, 2013 17:50:00 GMT -5 by Kyousei Kitso
Excellent! He'd avoided Kaen's attacks by a hair, despite Kaen's vastly superior speed. This was looking up so far! But Kaen didn't lose track of his opponent. Kyousei had used Shunpo, and based on his past attack that meant.... Kaen whirled around and smirked. As he'd thought. Kyousei had used Shunpo to get behind him again. His arm was up. Mental kido casting. Tch. No time for anything fancy. The shakkaho blasted out at Kaen, but he effortlessly sidestepped it, the red ball of reiatsu flaring past him. It looked like Kyousei was planning a long range fight? Well. That was fine, if he thought that would protect him. He was mistaken.
Kaen launched himself at Kyousei again, moving in a zig-zagging pattern, to make him a difficult target. He constantly kept his eyes on Kyousei, to anticipate a potential mental kido cast. Due to his speed, unless Kyousei employed Shunpo, he wouldn't be able to keep his distance for long. Kaen's left arm snapped back in a blur, but with Kyousei's senses he might at least be able to determine that was what happening. It was a feint. As Kaen closed into range, he threw a leg kick at Kyousei. Not a sweep kick like before, but a low roundhouse kick towards his thigh, intended to damage the leg, and impede mobility. Even holding back as he was, this was going to hurt a lot, and definitely leave a mark. Then Kaen launched his attack, pulling back the left arm, and striking with his right, towards Kyousei's Saketsu. This was Kaen's anti-kido fighting style, the Gokuinken-- Sealing Fist. Using precision strikes to block the flow of reiatsu through an opponent's body, and cause backlash if they tried to bypass these blocks.
How would Kyousei react now? Simply using Shunpo to dodge constantly would drain his reserves quickly, and Kaen was making himself a difficult target to hit. Kyousei needed to find a way to move the fight back into his own flow, and prevent Kaen from setting the pace of the fight. What would his answer to this attack be?

(OOC: SO SO SO SOOO SORRY THIS TOOK SO SO SOO LONG)
IC:Oh crap I missed. He's coming closer... Fuck he's quick!" Kyousei thought to himself as he continued moving back, obviously Kaen was a short range fighter so it was obvious he would want to close the gap. In a situation like this Kyousei would use sho or a kido to launch Kaen back but here was the problem. Kaen was moving in a zig zagging motion, this meant Kyousei couldn't get the proper aim to hit Kaen with the kido. This meant Kyousei needed to improvise, if Kaen got close then Kyousei would be screwed, he also needed to make sure he didn't waste all of his reiatsu so quickly or he wouldn't be able to do anything.
Kyousei used shunpo to get back a few feet, this meant he had more time to executed his attack. Kyousei aimed forward, towards the floor but towards where Kaen's general directoin would be, he wasn't aiming to hit Kaen no, he was aiming to do something different. Hado number 31 shakaho! The red ball of fire would shoot towards the floor, as it slammed into the floor two things would happen. Firstly a large explosion would happen, this might push Kaen back and stop his momentum. Secondly the smoke would blind him, blocking Kyousei and therefore making Kaen not able to continue his attack since he would be pushed to the floor and blinded.
Kyousei started panting as he realized that he'd probably have to release his zanpakuto. Kyousei quickly ran out of Kaen's range and began his release, he turned the blade on it's side and put his two fingers on it. "Now collapse and rise, Tsuin Tsuname!" Kyousei screamed. Suddenly a drowning sensation would hit Kaen, blue reiatsu would poor out of Kyousei as his sword split in two, shorter blades. His swords would be blue. "Now for the next stage of my attack!" Kyousei said to himself.
Kyousei quickly sheathed his right blade which he would use later and then proceeded to fire a byakurai, not at Kaen but at the wall. Kyousei then used shunpo to get in front of it and absorb it using his left blade, it wasn't much reiatsu but it took only a little bit of reiatsu to do this. Water began gushing out of his right blade which was now unsheathed. Kyousei now had huge tidal waves under his control. They would serve many purposes, they could be used offensively and defensively. Kyousei began making the water swirl around him, creating something like a shield should Kaen rush him and Kyousei needed a quick defense.
"Alright Kaen, let's see what you can do against waves and waves of water under my command!" Kyousei said as he began moving the waves around to surround Kaen. What would Kaen do? How would he react to Kyousei's high pressured water that would crush and drown anyone who was unfortunate enough to get caught in his waves.
Kaen saw Kyousei evade him by Shunpoing back again. That was a costly defense, and one that would eventually fail if he was continually forced to use it. Not that Kaen really cared. That was a weakness he could press. If he could continually force Kyousei to use up his reiatsu like that, even a high level kido user would eventually deplete their reserves. But it seemed Kyousei was done with running. He fired a Shakkahou and Kaen leapt back to avoid it. However, it seemed as though Kaen had not been the target. The attack had been purely defensive, blasting it into the ground probably to prevent Kaen from closing in further. It also served to disrupt his line of sight.
Kaen heard Kyousei's voice utter his release phrase, and assumed he had released his zanpakuto. Kaen raised an eyebrow. "Playing that card already, hey?" He noted Kyousei clutching twin short swords. "Well, if you're gonna do that. I guess I need to stop holding back, don't I?" He commented with a grin. He wondered how Kyousei would take that news. That despite how easily he had defeated him in round one, he'd been holding back at that time.
Kaen shifted his weight slightly, lifting one leg and then slamming it onto the ground, at the same instant his reiatsu erupted in a crimson flare around him. Debris on the ground hurtled up into the air and the very ground trembled beneath the two of them. Kyousei would feel the tremors from where he was, threatening to cause him to lose his footing and stumble. Was this what Kaen was capable of? He had caused a tremor through the earth by doing nothing more than stomping? One could only imagine what the results would be if a blow with that kind of strength behind it connected with Kyousei.
Kaen saw Kyousei had surrounded himself with a defensive shield of water. Kaen knew better than to rush it head on, so he decided he'd test Kyousei's defenses out. A large stone had been kicked up in the air near him, by his stomp. In the blink of an eye, Kaen snatched it out of the air and sent it speeding through the air at Kyousei's water shield like a bullet. Kaen's eyes narrowed sharply as he observed the effects of the water shield. How powerful was it against even so basic an attack as this?

(OOC:Sorry for sub par post)
Okay good it seemed his plan was working as it was now. Suddenly Kaen seemed that he was going to start fighting seriously now. That was alright with Kyousei. Although Kaen had beaten him easily in the first round Kyousei would show it was a fluke. He was a vice captain for a reason. "Well, if you're gonna do that. I guess I need to stop holding back, don't I?" Kaen said. Kyousei gave a wide grin, he was itching to get started. He really wanted to see what Kaen's shikai could do. "Don't worry, I won't be as easy to beat as last time. Now I know not to underestimate you!" Kyousei blankly stated. Kyousei instantly got his water ready. Suddenly Kaen stomped. "What in the fuck is this shaking? All he did was stomp? Is he seriously that strong?!" Kyousei asked himself.
Maybe Kaen was trying to intimidate him? Maybe he thought he could scare Kyousei out of this battle? No, not one bit. Kyousei wasn't scared of his high flaring reiatsu or his fake earthquake. Kyousei wasn't scared. "Let's show this 'Vice-captain' how dangerous we really are Kyousei!" One of his twins said. Kyousei nodded. It was time for a basic analysis. He has a strength and speed advantage over me. As long as I keep him at bay with my water then. He'll get tired. He may be quick but he still has limits. I will find those limits Kyousei thought to himself. He got his zanpakuto ready. He was ready for some action now."Let's do this Tsuin Tsuname!" Kyousei screamed, he was hyped up now.
"Your earthquakes don't scare me one bit!" Kyousei shouted. He then threw a large rock at Kyousei. Either Kaen was dicking around or there was some strategy to this throw. Either way Kyousei reacted to it with seemingly no effort. The water would suddenly rush at the rock, like a helpless person who couldn't swim the rock would be engulfed in the wave. While in there the high pressure of water would crush and destroy it with seemingly no effort. This was due to Kyousei's admirable reiatsu strength.
Now the water would be continuing towards Kaen, it would be like a huge tidal wave, if Kaen was caught in it the high pressure would crush him. Kyousei wasn't done though. He kept his water shield but sent more water to flank Kaen, blocking off a lot of exits of escape. The only way he would be able to go was back. If he continued going back however he'd hit a wall, if he hit a wall it was over. What could Kaen do? He was seemingly trapped between the waves of water that threatened to drown and crush him.
Now Kyousei had a strategy that could counter any speed or hand to hand tactics that Kaen possessed. How would he be able to hit Kyousei if he would simply be caught in another tidal wave? Kyousei had all the time in the world. He was going for a more defensive style now. He didn't want to tire himself out or waste reiatsu. Kaen would have no room to attack. He would be wasting energy dodging and trying to get near Kyousei. All Kyousei had to do was move his right blade around. His opponent would fall victim to the tsuname at some point. It was all a matter of patience. Kaen was about to witness first hand that Kyousei wasn't as easy to defeat as he thought.

The rushing water attack seemed formidable indeed as it pulverized the stone. Kaen figured it was not in his best interests to get hit by that attack, or try to overpower it. Not yet anyways. Kyousei did a good job trying to cut off Kaen's escape routes, but he was, unfortunately, too slow. Even if Kyousei wouldn't be able to hear it, there would be a rushing sound as Kyousei swung his blade to cut off Kaen's escape to the right. Even as Kyousei created the wave, and sent it crashing off in the direction had been, the shinigami appeared to materialize behind Kyousei. "I suppose if that's your power I should probably show off mine too, huh?" Kaen suggested, drawing his zanpakuto from his back and flipped it into reverse grip.
"This is gonna be fun~" Kaen remarked. His zanpakuto flared in a brilliant orange blaze of reiatsu as he wordlessly released his weapon. It transformed into a silver armguard, with black flames drawn across its length. Kyousei had created a water barrier around him. An impenetrable defense, simultaneously combined with an unstoppable offense? A formidable attack. And, although Kyousei didn't know it yet, as a fire type zanpakuto user, Kaen was at a natural disadvantage. He could certainly try evaporating the water, but didn't want to play his hand too early, and reveal his zanpakuto's abilities too quickly.
He'd avoided Kyousei's first attack, but although he'd made use of the speed difference in each cut, he hadn't been able to read HOW Kyousei performed his water attacks, and was now focused on his opponent's movements. Was it telekinetic? Or did he actually have to use body movements to direct the flow? Kaen planned to use Kyousei's next move to determine the answer to that.
