The Desert.....of the Real...(Training)

Cero was wondering around her domain, memory of her party still fresh. She had talked to Kuroi about why arrancar attacked each other. She found it fairly odd to say the least. He said something along the lines of if one didn't they would think them weak, and attack in great numbers, trying to get the spot they sat. They especially went after new Espada. He pretty much said she should do something of grandeur now, otherwise they would come for her soon enough. Though she made a mistake of using a move no other Arrancar, let alone espada knew. She used someting Konhai taught her long ago, during her time as a ghost. She hadn't used it since becoming an arrancar, but it was the only offensive technique she knew. Cero hadn't practiced using...Cero, so it might just splutter, and that wouldn't be good. This skill she, at least before, was able to fire for a moment, and it was pretty. Plus...no real pain would be felt...it was quick.

(Flashback Sequence...sight gets wavy...woooo)
Cero was standing next to Kuroi, looking out onto the group of Arrancar. They seemed upset that she came back...and on top of it dragged Kuroi with her. She looked to him for assurance and he seemed to have egged her on. She sighed and one of the Arrancar spoke, "Seems Kuroi has a girl now..." "Seems perfect together, though didn't know he had a thing for small weak little hollows.." "Hollow...more like a piece of crap shinigami to me..." All the Arrancar started to laugh. She looked to him one more time, his eyes pretty much said now or never... At least two volunteered..

She looked towards the two, they stood close. If he insisted this must be done. "Icy Winter holds no grudges, All kneel before, the waters of hell run deep, it echoes, light vanishes, the demon speaks, chaos removed. Hadō 83, Sekkenkooriboufuu. She pulled her weapons out just before saying the final part and pointed her sai towards them. They all stared at her thinking she was insane. A torrent of ice ripped out towards them, much larger then she had ever used. Their was no time for anyone to move out of the way. It flooded the area and she stopped it surprised at just how much stronger it was. A large chunk of ice now took up a good portion size of the room, ice gripping onto the walls tightly. Frost on chairs and the cups. Several arrancar looked at the block off ice, seeing their fellow arrancar within.

Her face became worried for a moment. She really really didn't mean that. "Hmm..." She tapped on the ice, rock solid. Then looked back at Kuroi for a reaction...........

That is what happened....it couldn't have gone any fucking worse...Oh wait....that is right it did. Arrancar can't use Kidou. Hell...most Espada can't use kidou, if any. She was the first known record of it. Tragedy at that. The party pretty much died then, and rumors of she being a Shinigami really.

Are you done with this training, or is there more to it? Kidou as high as 83 need more than that in training for learning.

Real World:
It ended up in a disaster. Sonken didn't say anything. Just left the party. Think he even laughed slightly. It was ridiculous really. The least he could have said was, oh...Espada can learn Kidou...bastard. She sat at the edge of a waterfall in her room. On a rock overlooking it, her hand and foot inside. A few fish swimming around her hand, nibbling on the dead skin. She just swished her hand in the water, then picked it up looking at it....

Memory Sequence:
Her training with Sonken...it was hell. He would take her out to the edge of Hueco Mundo and leave her. Those bastard lower end hollows would chase her for hours. She would chop one down, and another woudl sprout up. They were like freakin daisies. She wasn't an Arrancar just yet at that point. He taught her how to fight using the sword. Which helped...but they had just as destructive attacks. The only decent skills he taught her were a few Kidou he learned as a Shinigami. Most of the time she tried to use it it would splurt out and dissolve. Resulting in injury from attacks. Those incantations....damn those incantations...freakin insensible to speak several lines and then get nothing. Though, it had saved her a few times. But since when did anyone focus on the good parts of something...when their was so many bad..so many...

Memory Sequence:
She remembered to a time she was first learning how to use that particular Kidou. It was just a short time after their meeting. Though in her current way of thinking, it would have been considered a diffrent life time. She was still a ghost..or soul or apparition.. or what ever it was called. He was walking her through Las Noches, showing her around, and the general ropes of...of...being an Arrancar or Espada, what he had planned for her to become quickly. The on looking Arrancar, seemed upset by her presence. To what she now knew was because of her....everything it seemed. Arrancar, let alone Hollows despised everything about her, just as much as they despised anything else. Including each other.

Real World:
It left a bad taste in Cero's mouth. The way Arra...Hollows in general were. And why was she so diffrent? Perhaps eventually, after enough time she might become like them...now that she thought, at one point she was quite vicious on her clan...but those bastards dissevered it..."Hmmm....", in the real world. Her hand again in the water, just moving it back and forth. Listening to the sounds of the forest being drowned out by the sound of the waterfall.

Memory Sequence:
Their eyes like daggers. Wishing to do something, but fearful of this man it would seem. If only she knew then what she did now. His power was something. But she didn't, nor will most likely ever, fear his presence. Their hatred of Cero most likely greater then anything at that moment, stalking the two of them. Why was she getting attention..some...weak little spirit girl. He noticed for sure, but didn't do much about it. He moved onto another subject. "I would like to teach you something I learned long ago. I think....it will help you someday..." He said...And it had....but now lead her to her current predicament.

They hid outside the training hall, which was a big room. He knew they wouldn't be able to hear what he said, let alone feel anything. He walked over to her. "This is a shinigami trick, very powerful. But takes practice and perfect control to get it right enough to do any real damage to the enemy. If a mistake is made...it might...well, it might hurt you more then them..." He started to change, words with an incoherent meaning. Then a blast of fire ripped from his hands. It smacked into the ground, and a torrent of wind blew all around her, she was flung into the air, as the cloud of fire exploded into a wall of fire encasing half the room. She fell into the arms of Sonken, who caught her in mid air, landing softly on the ground and putting her down. He looked up at his face, a certain calmness, and knowing...of what she didn't know.

He basically told her she would one day be that strong, though, she doubted it greatly. It was mystifying to say the least. It looked great enough to take out armies, or cities.

He showed her a few of the moves that he thought would be useful to her. He told her the incantations of about 4-5 kidou. Told her how to form, aim, increase in damage, decrease, everything he could. Her attacks paled to his, but he told her it would change soon enough. She could form them from time to time, 1/15 tries..but still, he said most beginners were as bad or worse. It took a special kind of person to be skilled at them in the first place. And she wasn't doing half bad. Words of encouragement...

After that day of training, Sonken left her to keep training. He left the room, the Arrancar from before acting nonchalant. As he passed them he smiled, knowing what was to come most likely. They entered the room, a loud thud as the door closed and locked behind them. The two entered, seeming to drag their feet, or stalking prey. Cero paid no mind, thinking it was normal for others to come in, though she did look back at them when she heard the door. She still didn't understand the way of Arrancar.

"So...youre the girl Sonken brought from the human world. You must be gifted....He rarely leaves this place." Cero turned to face them, she didn't speak. "And to get personal teaching lessons from him....he must think highly of you..." "He doesn..." one of the arrancar raced towards her and jabbed her in the gut, flinging her back a few feet. She rolled to a stop, holding her stomach. "Did we say you can speak, what nerve...lunch talking to us...." Cero gasped for breath. "You know...i am getting hungry now..." They laughed. "But...I like my food to have a certain taste to it...A lot of fear....with some anger and a hint of agony.."

One of the Arrancar picked her up by her neck. She held onto the arms of the beast, kicking slightly. Then tossed her over to the other which grabbed her leg. She was now suspended upside down. He gripped tighter, she screamed. She could feel the blood running down her leg. "Someone...help.." "There is no help for food...and Sonken isn't comin for you...That door and these walls block out energy...and sound." He flung her away, as she scraped along the floor to a halt. Her eyes red from crying, tears rolling down her face. Blood spilling...she was going to die..

"I say that takes care of the fear..." "And the agony..." "Now for some anger..Though...I can live without it." They laughed. Cero felt she was on the verge of being destroyed and consumed by these...assholes. Their was no reason for attacking her. "Why...why are you.." They fired an attack near her, a scratch appeared on her face. "Because....you don't deserve shit...you are food, why would he pay any attention to you." Pointless...they were just going to kill her because they felt she didn't deserve anything. Because they felt they were higher on the food chain.

She spent 100's of years, in that form. What did they know of her plight. She had been hunted by their kind for quite some time, and now, the hunt continued. She got up slowly. They looked at her, ready to attack. She started to say something, they stared at her. "Icy Winter holds no grudges, All kneel before, the waters of hell run deep..." "Seems she has gone off the deep end..." "We drove her mad..." They laughed. ",it echoes, light vanishes, the demon speaks." "Perhaps we should end this now...crazy people don't taste that good...", another echo of laughter. "We will show you what hell is...girl..." They started to walk towards her. She held her hand up open, "Stop...for you...no way in fuc..." " chaos removed. Hadō 83, Sekkenkooriboufuu." They were almost upon her as the ice fired from her hand. A current of ice, seeming to flow like a maddened river. Cero dropped onto her knees. A mist of white flowed around her, cold to her skin. She looked up, a block of jagged ice before her. She got both the Arrancar with it. She got to her feet slowly, and dragged herself to the door and out.

The next day.....
Sonken came to see Cero in the morning. A picturesque look as the girl slept on her bed. Covers half off, she in her underwear. She strewed about. She seemed helpless. But her looks were deceptive. Besides the only visible wound on her face, covered by her hair, she seemed weak, yet she managed to take on 2 Arrancar. Even if they were weak, it was a feat. Most shinigami couldn't even take on strong Hollows. But she took on Arrancar, being several levels higher then the strongest hollow. He seemed to smile, hardly visible to anyone. What would be construed as an evil grin by some. He left her to rest. She would need it after what she went through the day before. He expected her to be out for at least two days....

Real World:
Cero jumped up, remembering the fight. A far off memory. She might have been right in doing what she did....Arrancar are cruel beasts. What she did might keep the smarter, stronger ones away. Kuroi...what he said might have helped her greatly....perhaps he was to be trusted.....
