Ryunosuke's jump backwards did the trick, for although Shou was faster, the difference was almost unrecognizable. Shou did clip Ryunosuke's Kendo rod, but nothing came of it as Shou's grip instinctively relaxed, because the other student was no longer standing there. Ryunosuke had a moment of pure analysis as to the situation, going through many possible but highly illegal courses of action to take in order to win. He settled on one, and advanced again. This time, when he struck, he struck with skill, not speed or force. Shou's block came as expected, but it did not go the way he had planned. Ryunosuke had sent the exact amount of force through the blade that he needed, causing Shou's arm to simply go numb and limp as if it had fallen asleep.
The next series of strikes was brutal, as Ryunosuke hit everywhere that would inflict pain and/or cause his opponent to fall. He hit the legs, the arms, the chest with rapid flicks that would do little more than cause pain. Shou dropped to his knees, conceding the spar to the one who had considerably more skill than he. He looked up with a smile on his face. "I don't often meet my match at swords, I'm impressed. I see how people are moving, and see how they give away their attacks so simply every time. Then, I act. My reverse grip usually allows me to do a lot more than I had the chance to show you today. So, friends?" A lot of progress had already been made in his Kendo class, which was soon to end. At this point, most of the spars had been completed, so after he was done talking to Shou, Ryunosuke could speak with anyone in the class that he wanted to for the last few minutes of class.

Ryunosuke had delivered the final blow. He was ready for the next attack. It didn't really look like Shou was about to go down. Though, unexpectedly, he did. He fell to his knees, and coincided defeat. Ryunosuke let go of the thoughts of the next plan of attack. They weren't needed. It was over, and Ryunosuke was relived.
Shou looked up at him with a smile. "I don't often meet my match at swords, I'm impressed. I see how people are moving, and see how they give away their attacks so simply every time. Then, I act. My reverse grip usually allows me to do a lot more than I had the chance to show you today. So, friends?" "Yeah, friends," replied Ryunosuke. He had a slight smile on his face. Not a smile of arrogance, but merely a happy, sincere smile.
Whether or not Shou took his hand off the ground or not, Ryunosuke would be making his way over to the rack with the kendo rods. He placed back his kendo rod. He then looked at his planner; it stated that next was wrestling. Third subject of the day, and it felt like it was the end of the day. Time can be disconcerting. But oh well. When the time was marked, he exited the room, and went straight to wrestling, where-ever it was.

OOC: I'm a terrible person for not getting to this post in so long, sorry
IC: Ryunosuke's talk was short, as he just simply left Shou there without really getting to know the other student. He simply went and put away his tool and waited for awhile, going through his second session of Kendo without much of a stir. About half of his class also had Kendo for a second session, and the new half that came in were quickly told about his skill. As a result, the person who had been left to spar with him simply asked for some pointers, rather than actually fighting Ryunosuke. All in all, the end of Kendo class was uneventful for the student, and he made his way towards Wrestling class, on the way seeing no one he knew, for Shou had left Kendo 1 after the first session had ended and Katrina definitely didn't seem to be coming back any time soon.
Ryunosuke made his way to Wrestling classroom, which was less a room and more a courtyard. It had an open air "ceiling" and the floor was dirt, with a few chalk circles etched into them. The professor hadn't appeared yet, and it was a fresh class with no one that knew Ryunosuke or that he knew, so he could start making first impressions again. Whether or not Ryunosuke did anything while he was waiting for the professor to show up, a girl that looked about his age walked up to him slowly. She had long reddish brown hair that was pulled back into a ponytail to keep it away from her ears, on which a pair of wire rim glasses perched. She seemed nervous and shy as she barely whispered. "Excuse me, is this Kidou 1? I think that I may be lost...

OOC: Don’t worry dude, I’m worse. My most sincere apologies about the time it took to post and such.
Ryunosuke had next to no expectations for the next class; a fresh start was most certainly welcome in his mind. As he went into the class room, his mind was blown; the room was unique amongst the other lecture rooms of the academy. The floor wasn’t truly a floor at all; it was merely dirt, have circles drawn with chalk. Also, there was the absence of a roof, making it unlike the usually stuffy lecture rooms of the academy. The entire architecture of the room was a welcome change of pace for Ryunosuke. As he took another look around the room, more people were pouring into the room, some having similar thoughts to his own. As well as others have mystified looks on their faces. One was even tapping the chalk circles on the ground with his foot, and then quickly walking away before the professor walked into the room.
Speaking of the class professor, what would they look like, and how would they act? A certain thought in his mind was that they would have a muscular physique; it was extremely unlikely that they would be otherwise. Would they act similar to Kendo Sensei; gruff, blunt and serious? He then felt his pockets for something to occupy his time until the professor came. In one pocket, he had the ribbon that Katrina had left behind. He felt rather guilty about embarrassing her suddenly, though he quickly shook the guilty feeling off. In his other pocket, he had his deck of cards; the thing that occupied a fair portion of his time during his childhood. He took it out of his pocket, and then did a few small tricks with them, though nothing too fancy. In a quick, single movement, he put his deck away back into his pocket. He then, barely heard a small voice whisper to him.
"Excuse me, is this Kidou 1? I think that I may be lost...”
He then turned around, and then saw the girl. She was rather easy to describe; her hair was long, with a reddish-brown colour, placed into a pony tail, which was pulling back her hair from her ears, with wire-rim glasses perched on them. “I’m sorry, but this isn’t Kidou 1. It’s the Wrestling 1 class. I think you may have to look at the map, just outside in the corridor. You may also want to get to your class before the professor arrives.” He then hoped that she would follow his instructions, so that she would get to her own class on time, saving her from the wrath of the Kidou 1 Professor… Though she could get off the hook, by the fact it is the first day. Who knows?

The girl was obviously embarrassed, and ran off without another word, trying her best to follow Ryunosuke's instructions that he had given. As the student turned around once more to face the middle of the room, something surprising would happen. The professor arrived, quite suddenly, but not in a manner that most of the students would have expected. He didn't arrive through the door, he didn't arrive from above the roof, no, in fact he had been there the whole time. A shower of dirt rained down upon the classroom as the professor sprang up from the ground where he had been hiding the entire time.
"Greetings, Class. Lesson One of Wrestling is to be unexpected, catch your opponent off guard. However, Wrestling is not just about being smart, though it is one of the most important aspects. We'll begin today's class period, and every class period, with a brief physical workout to build muscle and stamina. With a count of 1 - 2 - 3 - 4, the professor launched into a push up routine, not even stopping to introduce himself or address the class any more than he had. He had a tall, lanky figure with highly toned arms and legs, easily visible by the short sleeved shirt and shorts that he wore. He led the class in a series of ten sets of push ups, a set being five regular, five close arm, five wide arm, five diamond push ups without stopping, and only giving five seconds in between each set. The stamina of the professor was surprising for someone so thin. How would Ryunosuke measure up?

Ryunosuke turned around, and saw the professor. He was standing up, and his clothes were stained with dirt. So much so, that an earthy smell was lingering around the room, and getting stronger as someone went towards him. "Greetings, Class. Lesson One of Wrestling is to be unexpected, catch your opponent off guard. However, Wrestling is not just about being smart, though it is one of the most important aspects. We'll begin today's class period, and every class period, with a brief physical workout to build muscle and stamina. There was no introductions—Just get in to the lesson. A few, small sets of push-ups were in order. First, there was the normal push-up, which was done with ease by almost all the class. Second, was the close-arm push-up, which was also done with ease. Third, was the wide-arm push-up, not surprisingly done with ease. Finally, there was a set of diamond-push-ups, which were also done with no trouble. However, there was a slight problem - the guy wouldn't stop. For a guy that was just as lanky as Ryunosuke, if not more so, the guy had amazing stamina.
The class was going steady by the third set of the 10, however, some of the weaker physical members were trailing a bit. People like Ryunosuke were going fine for the most part. By the fifth, those members practically done. They were sweating and panting, and those with the will to continue did so. By the eighth, the people of Ryunosuke's caliber were going down-hill, and fast. However, these were the most average of the average, the ones who never really worked out or did any physical exercise often. Ryunosuke himself was really feeling the burn. By the end of the tenth set, all but the most physically able felt like they were going to throw-up, Ryunosuke was kinda in that group as well. At the end, Ryunosuke stretched his aching arms, then held them by their side, letting them rest and to be ready for whatever the professor had in store for them.

"Ah, what a nice light warm up that was, don't you think class? Class?" Only now did the professor realize that most of the class had been unable to finish the exercises. Ryunosuke himself, only having the strength of an average human, would probably not truly have made it through all ten sets keeping up perfectly with the professor. If the student had, well, he would be feeling mighty sick from the extreme exertion. Though as a decent practitioner of Pain Tolerance, he could have ignored the pain and toughed his way through the crazy exercise that the professor considered just a warm up. "Maybe next class we'll start out a little softer, but we'll work our way back up to this, so there'll be no slacking off, ya' hear?" With a response expected from the class, many murmured a "Yes, Sensei" or some other sort of acknowledgement to his statement, however weakly their voices were able to function.
Picking himself up off of the ground and wiping his hands off on his already filthy robe, the professor walked to the center of one of the rings and motioned for the class to circle around him in a seated position. "My name is Professor Kobushikei. Welcome to Wrestling 1. I guess after the warm up, you guys deserve a rest, so we'll just have a class on wrestling theory today as a general introduction to the course. Now, who here knows anything about wrestling? I'd like to hear of your knowledge before I start to lecture. What about you, over there?" Of course, with Ryunosuke's luck, he was being asked to share his knowledge of wrestling. He'd have to talk first, and then other students who were quite familiar with the sport would be given a chance to speak up.

"Ah, what a nice light warm up that was, don't you think class? Class?" At the thought of that it was a light warm-up, most slumped down, letting their arms slack as they fell to the ground. Most were not caring about the state of their uniforms. They were only expressing the desire to rest, before the other parts of the class began to run it’s course. Ryunosuke’s reaction, was something similar, though he merely kneeled, rubbing the dirt off of his hands, followed by wiping the sweat off of his face. As his arms dangled by his side, he stared off into the distance, having a blank, but tired expression on his face. Truth be told, he couldn’t keep up with the Professor. However, due his Pain Tolerance, he was able to complete it all, without feeling the need to throw-up. Nearly everybody in the room was panting heavily, almost to that of a melody. The only people that didn’t participate were the most physically able in the class room, and the professor himself.
"Maybe next class we'll start out a little softer, but we'll work our way back up to this, so there'll be no slacking off, ya' hear?" “Yes, Sensei.” There were few loud voices in the room at this point. The majority of voices were strained and weak, often in the middle of regaining sufficient breath. Ryunosuke was among those people. He then turned his head slightly, to the point of being able to see the professor out of the corner of his eye. The professor then moved to the center-most circle in the room, and stood in the center of that. A motion was made with his hands, meant as a sign for his students to make a circle around him. "My name is Professor Kobushikei. Welcome to Wrestling 1. I guess after the warm up, you guys deserve a rest, so we'll just have a class on wrestling theory today as a general introduction to the course.” A sigh of relief was given out by the students, knowing that there was going to be no more physical work for the rest of the class.
The Professor then posed a question to the entire class. "Now, who here knows anything about wrestling? I'd like to hear of your knowledge before I start to lecture." Few people in the class could be bothered to lift their aching arms, despite the fact that a few of them should at least stopped hurting by now. The Professor’s eyes roamed the class-room, seeking someone to pose a question to. “What about you, over there?" Ryunosuke was being asked first? He had next to no knowledge on the subject, hence why he wanted to do it. “I’m sorry, Sensei, but I have no real knowledge on the subject.” It was better, in his mind, to say that you knew nothing, than pretend that you knew something. He hoped that the Professor would move on, and ask someone with more knowledge than he does. That would be an option more beneficial to the class than merely lecturing him, though it wasn’t a class, nor a world of luxury. He merely hoped he could perform better next time.

“I’m sorry, Sensei, but I have no real knowledge on the subject.” The professor nodded for a mere moment before launching into a speech, as if he wouldn't have cared whether or not Ryunosuke had an answer for him that was of substance. "Ah, that's fine, boy. We'll all just have a little discussion on it, then. Pair up, and discuss what Wrestling is, at its core. Discussion questions are as follows, and all of these, of course, are based on your opinion. Question one, what is the most important aspect of wrestling? Question two, how is wrestling important to you? Question three, where else are the values of wrestling applicable? Go forth and mingle, little children."
The class dispersed into pairs, and a dark shadow loomed over Ryunosuke. Behind him stood a very large and bulky student, one of whom had no trouble completing Professor Kobushikei's work out. "You has no knowledge on wrestling? Ookii teach you. Wrestling about strength, like me, Ookii. Ookii is big, Ookii is strong, he very good at wrestling puny little people. Question one, what is most important? Easy, big muscles. Ookii has big muscles. Question two, how is wrestling important to Ookii? Easy, Ookii uses wrestling to beat up weak sissies. Question three, where else is wrestling applica- applicab- applicable? Easy, in life, when Ookii can beat up people because they are weak. This is easy class."

"Ah, that's fine, boy. We'll all just have a little discussion on it, then. Pair up, and discuss what Wrestling is, at its core. Discussion questions are as follows, and all of these, of course, are based on your opinion." Spoke Professor Kobushikei, relaying his specific instructions, giving a few seconds for his words to get across. "Question one, what is the most important aspect of wrestling?" also giving a few seconds break, with a similar purpose. "Question two, how is wrestling important to you?" Similar actions were followed with this section of speech as well. "Question three, where else are the values of wrestling applicable? Go forth and mingle, little children." He spoke, giving out his final commands for this set of instructions.
Ryunosuke had no idea who to go to. All his picks were quickly snatched up by other people, to his disappointment. Though just as quickly as they were snatched by other people, he was also treated similarly. A, big, dark shadow eclipsed him, showing a big, bulky and burly peer. Ryunosuke turned his head, just slightly. He didn’t give him proper eye-contact, though he did turn his head enough to acknowledge his existence, and that he did have his full attention. "You has no knowledge on wrestling?" spoke the giant, obviously having more muscle than brain-power. Upon properly turning to face his so called, ‘partner’, he began the conversation, and attempted to complete the task that laid before the class.
“I’m afraid I don’t. Though you seem to be the kind that does.” replied Ryunosuke. "Ookii teach you. Wrestling about strength, like me, Ookii. Ookii is big, Ookii is strong, he very good at wrestling puny little people." “Is… Is he subtlety insulting me? I’m not that short compared to him against most other people in the class… Or I’m merely thinking about this too hard.” Ookii then continued with his ‘explaining’ of wrestling in his eyes, whilst following the professor’s instructions. "Question one, what is most important? Easy, big muscles. Ookii has big muscles." Ryunosuke gave this some rather quick thought, trying to go over each bit step by step, rather than go through it twice. “Hmm… Isn’t there a slight bit more to it than that? I mean, from the Professor’s words when he first appeared, he mentioned something about ‘catching the foe off-guard’. Maybe strategy has something to do with it. Though you are correct- Having a muscular physique would help.”
"Question two, how is wrestling important to Ookii? Easy, Ookii uses wrestling to beat up weak sissies." spoke Ookii, answering yet another question that was posed to the class. “Something tells me is a rather violent sort… Best to not provoke him into an aggressive state.” Yet again, Ryunosuke gathered his thoughts. “For question two, it truly isn’t of a high importance to me, though I did pick this class to learn a about, so I could make it more important to myself, if that answers the question in any sort of aspect.” Said Ryunosuke, keeping a certain, cool demeanor about it, trying to give his answers length and such, to fill up time.
[color=Orangered"Question three, where else is wrestling applica- applicab- applicable?"[/color] It seemed he had a small amount of trouble pronouncing the word, which could indicate that he would have trouble with words more than 3 syllables in recent memory. “Yes, that is how you say it- applicable. Please, continue answering, I’d like to hear more.” He kept the way he spoke calm, and un-accusing. It wouldn’t be very… Beneficial to have a fight as it was now, particularly in when the class is also discussing at this time. "Easy, in life, when Ookii can beat up people because they are weak. This is easy class." For a final time, he thought about a reply. “Hmmm… Well my answer is in a fight? Though my answer should be longer than that… Hmm… Sorry, I can’t get an answer out bigger than that.”

The professor meandered over towards Ryunosuke and Ookii, catching just the last bit of the conversation the two were having. He decided to interject momentarily to ask them another question, though it was related. "That's really all that you two can come up with? Beating people up, using wrestling in a fight? Come on, you two should be able to do better than that, wrestling and its values are good for so much more than just aggressive situations." Ookii was obviously perturbed, as he thought that wrestling was only about brute force. "No no no no no! Wrestling about big muscles, beat up puny people! Nothing else!" Kobishukei just sighed and walked over to one of the circles that was drawn in the floor, and got into a ready stance.
Ookii got the hint and joined him. It looked like it was going to be a piece of cake for the student, who looked over a foot taller than the professor, not to mention he appeared much stronger than the very wiry teacher. Someone rang the bell to start, and immediately Ookii started to twist in one direction to put Kobishukei on the ground. The professor didn't even move anything but his arms, and the student found himself lying on the ground, with a foot then being placed upon his chest. Ookii jumped up and again and again he tried to move the professor, only to find himself on the ground. "Got any sort of different answer now?"

"That's really all that you two can come up with? Beating people up, using wrestling in a fight? Come on, you two should be able to do better than that, wrestling and its values are good for so much more than just aggressive situations." This had caught Ryunosuke by surprised, and panicked. “U-Uh, n-n-no sensei. Y- You missed out on what I was saying be-“. His sentence was interjected by Ookii. "No no no no no! Wrestling about big muscles, beat up puny people! Nothing else!" This was met by a sigh from Kobushukei, who walked with a brisk pace over to one of the circles drawn in the floor.
After this, he got into a ready stance, of which Ookii got the hint. He towered over him, and with many students seeing the Ookii should have had the advantage. However, Ookii has barely begin to employ some sort of strategy, before he was put down by Kobushukei. This was only a few seconds after the bell had been rung. No matter how many times Ookii got up, he was merely put in his place, with numerous foot marks on his chest. "Got any sort of different answer now?" Ryunosuke was keen to defend himself.
“Well, Sensei. To be fair, you only listened into the latter half of our ‘discussion’. I believe I said I came to here to learn about wrestling, since I didn’t know anything. Ookii attempted to teach me, despite you proving him wrong to some degree. However, despite saying that the values can be used for so much more than aggressive situations, you haven’t really shown anyone that. You’ve merely put Ookii in his place in a wrestling match, which is technically a fight, and put him down… Sensei. Would you be able to explain situations other than aggressive ones verbally?”
Ryunosuke was hoping, just hoping… That Sensei Kobushukei could take some sort of criticism. He wasn’t being rude, or anything of the sort intentionally. He was being curious. He wanted to learn, and he couldn’t do that if things were explained so that he could make some sense of it. If he was yelled at, how was he going to learn? He also hoped that he wouldn’t have to wrestle the Sensei, as he would be put on the ground far easier than Ookii, most likely. The only question in Ryunosuke’s mind was; how would Sensei Kobushukei react?

Kobushukei just chuckled when Ryunosuke defended himself. "There's no need to be defensive, young student. This was simply an object lesson. Yes, on the surface it may look as if I only showed you how Wrestling is good for a fight, for I used a fight to do so. However, ponder for a moment how I was able to do so. Ookii obviously has a great amount of physical strength, much more so than I do, I will admit. However, how did I beat him? It was not by brute force, but by careful positioning of my body. I have mastered a balance of both body and mind, and through that mastery of balance, any force that attempts to disrupt that balance is just an amusement, and can be directed any way that I choose. In what situations, do you think, is that sort of balance helpful?" It was a typical thing for a professor to do, turn a question into another question, however hopefully Kobushukei had provided enough inspiration to Ryunosuke to help him understand the lesson he was trying to teach.

Konshukei merely chucked at Ryunosuke’s ‘speech’, if you were to call it that. ”There's no need to be defensive, young student. This was simply an object lesson. Yes, on the surface it may look as if I only showed you how Wrestling is good for a fight, for I used a fight to do so. However, ponder for a moment how I was able to do so. Ookii obviously has a great amount of physical strength, much more so than I do, I will admit. However, how did I beat him?” To Ryunosuke, this was merely a simple answer.
“I believe that before you overheard our conversation, I said strategy was most likely, if not certainly more important than having a good physique, though it is important to have some meat on your bones.” However, it didn’t seem that Kobushukei followed on with his question… Or he wasn’t speaking loud enough. "It was not by brute force, but by careful positioning of my body. I have mastered a balance of both body and mind, and through that mastery of balance, any force that attempts to disrupt that balance is just an amusement, and can be directed any way that I choose. In what situations, do you think, is that sort of balance helpful?"
To Ryunosuke, there were a numerous amount of situations that balance would be helpful, of which, it could range from acrobatics, to sword-play, to balancing on a tight-rope. He answered the question with all that he could think of, that wasn’t perverted, or lacked any sort of common sense. In other words, things that normal people would think to come up with, filter, and then use to answer questions like this. The only people that wouldn’t, would either drunk, or just plain stupid… Then again, you never know.

The professor listen to each of the things that Ryunosuke listed, nodding at some and chuckling at others. "Very good, student, that was the kind of answer that I was looking for. Oh, there's the bell, better get running along to your next class, everybody. See you here next week, when we'll start the actually physical training in wrestling, now that we've established the necessary mindset." The class thinned out, and if Ryunosuke didn't just stand around and went to move on to the next class, he'd run into a familiar face. Shou, from the Kendo class, was passing through and saw him. Even if Ryunosuke did hang around in the class, Shou would still see him and approach him, as he just happened to be passing through the wrestling courtyard. "Hey, Ryu! It's lunch time school-wide, want to grab something to eat?"
