Technique Name: [Getsuei]
Class: [5]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This sword technique is one that was developed by the Kawada Family and is very difficult to master as it requires the utmost coordination and muscle memory. By spinning one’s sword around in their hand continuously at high speeds, the user is able to mimic the blades of a fan or helicopter with their sword, resulting in a rotating fan that exceeds their own innate speed many times making a disc-shaped . Getsuei creates a round, circle in front of the user which appears to be a semi-transparent shield, but is actually a spinning sword. This not only provides an excellent defense against barrages of light attacks, but it completely shreds whatever may happen to defenselessly enter into the spinning blade. This technique can be done with one hand and one sword, or two hands and one sword for better results. For those who have mastered this technique they will also be able to preform this technique in each hand with two different weapons at the same time.
This is quite a common sword skill among Kawada family members and it’s one of the earliest things taught to them when they have become a shinigami. It is very useful when used as it was intended, but it has many weak points. For example, a solid sword strike in the opposite direction of the spinning blade has a very good chance of not only stopping the technique, but disarming the shinigami completely. To stop the technique or disarm the person using Getsuei the attacker must have at least the same strength as the person using Getsuei. Getsuei is not intended for fighting other people with swords, but instead used for fighting unarmed people or defending against barrages of thrown weapons or ranged reiatsu attacks. It is incredibly useful when used by physically strong members of the Kawada family since they’ll be able to implement this style against weaker swordfighters without needing to worry about being disarmed. This defense can shred any reiatsu-based attack that doesn’t exceed the user’s by over 150 and creates a noticeable gust of wind that can be used to blow light clouds of gas away.]
How to use technique: [One simply begins using this technique by holding their sword by its hilt so that its blade is faced to the side. They will then begin rotating the blade in the direction that the blade is facing at high speed. Their hands will need to continuously adjust and reposition themselves on the sword’s hilt, but those who have truly mastered this technique find no trouble as they do this. This skill requires at least a 1 in Swordsmanship to use.]

Technique Name: [Taiyou]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [Wind]
Technique Description and Effects: [This is typically the second sword technique that Kawada shinigami master during their training and a very useful one. It completely harnesses the power of wind in a way unseen by many who have never fought a member of the esteemed Kawada family. It will appear to be a normal swing except instead of being hit by a blade, the person being swung at is only in danger of being hit by the flat part of a blade. This is so that it becomes wider and more fan-like as it is swung. The technique is intended to be blocked as it is noticeably slower than a normal swing.
Upon blocking such a strike an enemy will feel the full force of however strong the person using Taiyou is. This will hopefully knock them off balance enough for the second hit to reach them. Almost as soon as Taiyou is blocked, the person blocking will experience an incredible burst of wind that is equal in strength to the user of this technique. This second hit is only wind and cannot in any way harm a person, but rather it is intended to simply send them flying. If one dodges this instead of blocking this, then the enormous force of wind will still follow the sword’s path, it will likely just miss though since the person in question dodged. However, if the person stays close-by to where the blade passed in front of the user, they will still be sent flying by the burst of wind.
If this technique is used by two swords on both sides of a person in a scissoring action then they’ll be in danger of being hit from both sides by huge bursts of wind. When put in this situation, this wind is capable of knocking someone’s breath out or blowing out their eardrums. Because a huge force of wind is colliding with another on both sides of the victim, they will instantly feel crushed and will likely be unable to recover before the next attack comes. The effects of this are naturally determined by how strong the user is and how durable the opponent is. A large advantage in strength would cause more severe side-effects for the victim.]
How to use technique: [The person using this technique will need to swing his blade so that he is bringing the flat of his blade at his opponent.]

Technique Name: [Kyohaku]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This technique is one that is useful in a variety of different situations, however it is typically useless in a straight swordfight. What Kyohaku does is split things in two, however it doesn’t work on solid objects. Bodies of liquid, blasts of flame, even cero and kidou can be cut in two using this technique assuming that what the user is cutting does not break the sword. This works no matter how thick or wide the target is. Simply slicing upwards through a few feet at the edge of a large body of water will part the entire body in two. In a similar manner, swinging down through part of a cloud of gas will part that entire cloud in two. This sword technique allows the user to interact and cut things that they normally would not be able to cut with swords such as gas, fire, liquid, cero, shockwaves, or lightning. However it is only with cero and kidou that the user's dominant offensive stat comes into play.]
How to use technique: [Simply swing the sword so that part of it goes through a large body of whatever you want to cut. This will split the entire thing in two assuming that the sword would not be destroyed by whatever it’s cutting. If a cero is capable of outright destroying the sword that is being used for this technique, then it cannot be used against it.]

Technique Name: [Suisei]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This technique is used for thrown weapons and can even be used on something as large as a sword or zweihander. This technique is used by launching the weapon with one’s arm. This will send the weapon flying forwards at the combined speed of one’s strength and speed and have the same amount of strength. This is a rather straightforward attack compared to the other Kawada sword techniques. This technique has the capability of not losing momentum immediately, meaning that if it flies at an enemy and they block it, they will be sent flying. But they won’t be sent flying alone. The flying weapon will keep rocketing forwards into their block and keep forcing them back as it flies forwards. This will force someone to maintain the block or receive a weapon through their body. Naturally using a stepping technique while one is being sent flying backwards by this technique is impossible. It is the perfect opening.
This technique can be used in many ways. For example, one can have a wire attached to the thrown weapon and cause it to double-back on an enemy or wrap around their body at immense speeds. This would cause the final rotation around their body to deliver a deadly slice. The wires used to tie to the ends of the weapons are best kept pre-tied and ready to be slipped on the blade’s hilt at a moment’s notice. This attack can travel through crowds of people without stopping and has the capability of blowing through cero and kidou like no one’s business. This technique creates a huge backdraft with strength equivalent to half of the attack’s speed that will cause anyone who dodges it by only a little bit to be swept off their feet and blown in the direction which the weapon was sent flying. This will prevent anyone from dodging and preforming a counterattack quickly upon successful evasion.]
How to use technique: [Simply throw your weapon in a like a javelin or frisbee or however is most comfortable. This will cause the weapon to travel in a straight line directly at the opponent. This is the most powerful known throwing weapon technique in Soul Society and possess amazing speed and strength.]
Drawback: [This causes the user to lose whatever weapon they throw until they go and retrieve it. One should not use their main weapon with this ability because it would leave them unarmed. This technique requires at least a 2 in Swordsmanship to learn.]
Made by: [The Kawada Family]

Technique Name: [Shouwakusei]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This is a sword technique that a Kawada uses to instantly recover his or her sword once it has been lost or discarded. With a simple gesture, the soul reaper is capable of calling any blade that can be considered their property and have it fly in a straight line into their grip. This is done by establishing a soul connection with each weapon upon acquisition of it. The strength of Shouwakusei’s flight is determined by the user’s strength, so stopping it in mid-air would be possible for opponents who are stronger than the user. The speed of the flight is 5x the user’s speed, so essentially half their shunpo speed.
When this ability is activated, the blade will immediately fly towards the hand of the Kawada member it belongs to in any way the user desires as long as it’s a straight line. They can make it fly hilt-first or blade-first or even in a rapid spinning motion. This can be used to set up attacks from behind an enemy or recover stolen weapons from an enemy. It is most useful when used immediately after Suisei, for it will recover the thrown sword in the instance that it misses its target. The user can only use this on weapons that they own that they have either attained in the current thread or have brought into the thread with them. They can not use this to steal an enemy’s weapon without stealing it by normal means first.]
How to use technique: [Simply will the sword to return and it will. A gesture is usually used but is not required and it doesn’t necessarily HAVE to return to a hand. The user could return it to its sheath or catch it in their mouth or something. This technique requires a 2 in swordsmanship to learn and costs 150 reiatsu for every use.]

Technique Name: [Wakusei]
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This is a sword technique developed by the Kawada family and is only taught to those holding seated positions within the the Gotei 13. By raising one’s sword into the air, one can reflect sunlight or moonlight off its blade into the eyes of the enemy. For a few seconds this light trick creates the illusion as if the Kawada member is bringing his sword swinging down at them. The illusion will last for the entire swing and make an enemy believe that the Kawada family member has preformed a full strike before revealing otherwise. During the time that the enemy has been lulled into believing the strike has already been executed, the Kawada member is able to preform a different type of strike in hopes of catching his opponent off-guard. The time in which the enemy is seeing the strike is time that the user of this technique can do something else, such as reposition himself somewhere else or slash from another direction.
However, if the Kawada member possesses at least a 3 in swordsmanship than the effects of Wakusei get even better. Instead of giving the illusion of a single sword swing, the Kawada member can layer the illusions. Meaning that the first sword swing they see and react to won’t actually be real. After the illusion is broken through time or some ability they will see the “true” body of the Kawada member likely attacking them from another direction. This is an illusion underneath an illusion and must be broken in the same way as the first before the opponent sees what the Kawada member is truly doing. This move is typically used to create openings and can only be used effectively at close-range. It isn’t a move to rely on or spam repeatedly. It should be used sparingly to catch someone off-guard.]
How to use technique: [One must hold their sword out and reflect some type of light off their blade into their enemy’s eyes. This can be sunlight, moonlight, or some type of artificial light. The enemy will then be under the impression that the Kawada member has preformed a sword swing at that moment. This technique requires at least 1 in swordsmanship to learn.]
Drawback: [If there is no source of light then this technique cannot be used. When fighting in pitch-black places such as caves this ability cannot be used. This technique will not work on someone who has 2 or 3 in Illusion Resist in their abilities. If it is mastered it can be preformed on those with 2 in Illusion Resist. This is also only capable of making the illusion of the user attacking with their sword. There is no other type of illusion that this technique can do. Wakusei can’t make an enemy think that the user is firing a kidou. It can’t make them think that they’re being punched. The only thing the illusion is capable of mimicking is a sword attack.]

Technique Name: [Nagareboshi]
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [Nagareboshi is the name given to the special way of wielding one’s zanpakutou among Kawada members. Many shinigami are taught to wield their zanpakutou like a weapon. Some are taught to wield a zanpakutou as an extension of themselves. When a Kawada family member reaches a certain level of mastery in swordsmanship he is taught to view his zanpakutou as another spiritual body entirely. When one thinks of their weapon in this regard it becomes easy for them to share their spirit with their zanpakutou and vice versa. By merging with one’s zanpakutou spirit the power of the sword increases exponentially, allowing them to ignore the cutback effect. This is because the heightened sense of unity between weapon and weilder. Nagareboshi mixes their powers more fluidly and forces them to become more in-tune with each other.
What does this do for the Kawada member besides let them skirt by the cutback effect? What strength do they gain? It is a technique that allows makes bladed weapons man times more effective. For one thing it increases the cutting strength and durability of the blade by twice their reiatsu strength. Other then that this technique will allow the user to literally slice through reiatsu-based attacks such as kidou or cero as long as their reiatsu strengths do not exceed the Kawada’s cutting strength by more than 2x. With this increase in cutting strength comes the capability of slicing through other people’s swords and defenses assuming they only possess 1/2 the reiatsu strength compared to the Kawada's new cutting strength. It is basically an overall sharpening of the sword and increases the combat-effectiveness of Kawada swordsmen. This is incredibly useful when dealing with hierro or powerful reiatsu-based attacks.]
How to use technique: [One must channel their very soul into their sword creating a bluish glow around the sword. This is the only sign that the technique is in place. It will also queue the enemy in to when the technique is deactivated for kidou. This technique requires at least 3 in swordsmanship to learn.]
Drawback: [One is unable to use any kidou or other reiatsu-based techniques while this is active due to not having their full soul to put towards it. This is typically constantly used by Kawada members but it only works on one’s zanpakutou. This can also be used on other swords or bladed weapons for the cost of 100 reiatsu every post.]

Technique Name: [Burakkuho-ru]
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This technique is one which the Kawada family uses when taking defensive measures. This requires the Kawada member to defend from a physical attack with their sword. If the Kawada member succeeds in blocking the attack at a specific weak point then the energy put into the strike will be reversed on the strike itself repelling it completely. This weak point is usually located at the center of the object or weapon being used to attack. The Kawada member can add their own power into the repelled attack and blow through the enemy’s weapon regardless of any difference in strength. This technique can be used to block attacks delivered by enemies much stronger than the Kawada members without any negative repercussions.]
How to use technique: [This only works if the Kawada member hits a specific point of the enemy’s weapon or fist or whatever they’re attacking with. Usually it’s near the middle of the object but it could change depending on what weapon is being used. This technique requires at least 3 in swordsmanship and 150 in strength to learn.]

Technique Name: [Noba]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This is a quick-draw technique that strikes out at twice the user’s speed. In fact, the speed of this quick-draw technique can surpass the user's own shunpo speed, but how is this possible? Let me explain. This quick-draw technique is used in the same way many quick-draw techniques are. The user must remove their sword from its sheathe and strike out at an enemy in the same motion before sheathing the blade again. However, Noba allows the user to use muscle memory to preform the movement faster with successive use. Essentially the speed of the quick-draw attack doubles with every single time it is used by a particular arm. This, however causes rapid muscular erosion since it pushes the body past what it should be capable of doing and causes massive strain on the arm.]
How to use technique: [The user must unsheathe their blade and strike at an enemy with the same movement before sheathing the blade again. This is all preformed instantly and as quickly as possible with no pause in the motion. If this technique is mastered then it can be combined with other Kawada sword techniques such as Nagareboshi, Kyohaki, or Taiyou.]
Drawback: [This technique can be used four times with no drawback at all, but if this technique is used 5 times by one arm then it will cause the arm itself to break. The sword must be sheathed between each use. An enemy can stop the Kawada member from using this technique by keeping them from sheathing their blade. It also only has a range as long as the sword being used. This technique requires a 4 in swordsmanship to learn.]

Technique Name: [Seiun]
Class: [1]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [This is a self-sacrificial move in which the person stimulates their Saketsu and their Hakusui by plunging a weapon into the center of their chest. Doing this would allow a tenth seat to stand at the level of a captain for a brief moment. However, this sword technique is only taught to the most skilled sword masters in the Kawada family and using it costs quite a bit to the user. The first thing that will happen is the user will break free of any hinderances to them. Bakudo will be shattered, limits set on their reiatsu or physical movement will be blown away. Cutback effect will be ignored. This will essentially overpower any move intended to paralyze someone or negate/lock their reiatsu. For the next six posts the user of this technique will have double their reiatsu stats and unlimited reiatsu. Their physical stats will both increase by 50% as a result of this technique as well. Afterwards they will collapse from sheer exhaustion. This is a final move and not to be used to begin a fight since one will be unable to even stand after this move has finished.
At any time during Seiun they can use all their remaining power for one strike. This will end the effects of Seiun after its use and leave the user with no reiatsu and no ability to even move. It will end his release if he has it active and it permanently set his reiatsu strength and spiritual pressure to 0 until he’s healed by someone who knows what they’re doing. Essentially what this final strike is, is the user extending their blade beyond its physical range, allowing them to cut through mountains in the far distance or slice through an entire city with a single swing. The cutting strength of this final strike is infinite and its delivered at three times the user’s speed while using Seiun. It cuts everything in front of them if they are capable of aiming their sword swing correctly. The only way to not take damage from this technique is to avoid it by not being directly in the path of the user’s final swing when they uses it.]
How to use technique: [When using this one must have the utmost concentration. They will plunge a sword directly into their chest or an ally’s in such a way that it avoids hitting any vital organs and shatters the limiter set on one’s Saketsu and Hakusui.]
Drawback: [The user must literally stab themselves through the chest in such a way that it stimulates their Saketsu and Hakusui, but also avoid any vital organs. Even if no vital organs are hit, this is still a stab through the body, and it comes with the same drawbacks as that. There will be pain and there will be blood. This is practically impossible to do while on the move. A person must be concentrating very carefully when plunging the sword into their chest, for if they mess up by just a bit they could end up killing themselves. This technique will burn through one’s spiritual pressure and reiatsu strength. While it costs no reiatsu to use initially, the user’s spiritual pressure and reiatsu strength will be reduced to 0 after this technique has ended along with their reiatsu amount. Physically, the user will be unable to even stand after this technique has finished and will be left bleeding. There is a good chance that the user will die unless they receive proper treatment, and they will have a difficult time actively seeking it out in their condition. Because of the minor damage to one’s own Saketsu and Hakusui, the user is unable to get their full power back until they see a medical facility. Any threads they join after that they will have 0 in each of their reiatsu stats until they’ve been healed. This technique requires at least 4 in swordsmanship to learn.]

Technique Name: [Ginga]
Class: [1]
Technique Type: [Zanjutsu]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects: [Besides Seiun, Ginga is the Kawada family’s strongest sword technique. In many ways it is the antithesis to Seiun which requires extreme sacrifice for immense power. Ginga, does not require much sacrifice and instead of being meant to use only once, the power of Ginga comes from being able to use it many times. What Ginga does is rather simple. What the ability does is invert a spirit’s connection with their blade, allowing them to literally mirror the orientation of the weapon they use it on. For example, it will put the hilt where the tip of the blade and vice-versa. Essentially this instantly and completely inverts the direction the blade is pointing without turning it or moving it in anyway.
That’s it, that’s the entire ability. That’s all it does, but how exactly does that help a person out when they’re sword-fighting? Wouldn’t they be left holding the tip of the blade and cut their hand? Yup. That’s exactly what happens. It’s pretty useless until the person masters the ability. Once the ability has been practiced and refined to the point of mastering, the user is rewarded with the ultimate utility. Not only will their blade invert and switch orientation, but they will follow suit and invert along with it so that they maintain hold of their weapon’s hilt.]
How to use technique: [The user must send their reiatsu flooding into the weapon of their choosing and use the weapon as a catalyst for their existence. During the use of this ability, assuming it is mastered, the user and weapon truly do become a single entity.]
Drawback: [This ability is pretty useless unless it is mastered, though it doesn't cost reiatsu. It requires 4 points in Zanjutsu as well as at least 8 other Kawada sword techniques mastered including Seiun and Nagareboshi. It cannot be used in its mastered state if Meiunatsuin is activated. Momentum carries over during this ability, meaning that if a person is swinging to the right and uses it, they will be swinging to their left after the technique is finished. The strength of this technique is its spam-ability and low drawback as opposed to any actual increase in power so a reiatsu cost would defeat the purpose of it. Instead this technique is limited on a cooldown basis. On the first use of this ability, it can be used as many times as the user desires for the next five posts. After this, it cannot be used for the following two posts. This cooldown increases by one post every time the technique is put on cooldown. This technique wears the user out physically over time. If this technique is used more than twenty times within the five post window, then the user will be unable to fight physically during the cooldown period and they will instantly receive the drawbacks of going over their stamina limit if they are a stamina-limited type like Genius or Shadow. They will have to rest during this cooldown period. If they go over ten times within the five post window, they will still be unable to fight physically and will require rest during this cooldown period, however this resting period will not go towards the resting period required for their type if they have a stamina-dependent type. Any physical drawbacks they feel are postponed until the cooldown period.]

Drawback: [Physical attack: No drawback]
