OOC: Guess whos back. . . back again. . . Sorry for small intro x.x
IC: "Haaa! Smell that fresh air! Looks like it was a good day to come on a field trip to the world of the living! Who else will come, I wonder?"
Taien said and pondered as he approched the Senkaimon with the other students of the class. Ohh Taien hadn't been down to the human world in quite some time. It would be nice to go out and see how things would be like this time. Taien, sadly, had not seen Michi-San or Tilman-San come with the group however, so he knew they would not be coming this time. Ohh well, their loss, Taien's gain. Taien was a bit stronger than the last time he had come, so it should be more interesting this time.
Taien quickly scanned the crowed, looking for more students he would recognize, trying to see if any of his other friends were here. If they were here, Taien would spot them right away. Well, most likely he would spot them. There were a lot of students here after all. Probably they would be set up in groups as well, so there was the chance he wouldn't be with any of his friends at all! Ohh well, there was still the trip. What could possibly go wrong?

Kisune had gotten word of a field trip to the human world. he immediately wanted to go because it would be a nice break from his studies. Quickly he packed his things and tidied his room up and ran out to meet with the other students who were also leaving. It seem that Taien was going, a very noticeable student and one who was quite strong. This field trip was for all class years and for anyone who felt they could handle themselves well. Kisune felt he could and so he opted to join them all. A trip to the human world was always worthwhile.

His moss green hair was short and prickly from the new buzz that he had just given it. He was grinning as he sat atop a rooftop in Karakura Town, watching the view. He was wearing his academy student robes from Shino, but Ozuru Ren felt more official than the others that had come. He felt more like a Shinigami. Unlike everyone else that had come on this field trip, Ren actually had a sharp, powerful Zanpakuto. His blade was fierce, and it was not unused. He constantly liked to use it. He was, unlike many students, very used to handling his blade. He knew by that point how to use a sword, unlike many others.
Ren had long since been separated from the rest of the group. How? Quite simply, he'd gotten distracted by something, and then lost track of them for a few seconds. He'd tried to catch up, had taken a wrong turn in the incorrect assumption of where they'd gone, and then had taken a whole lot of other wrong turns. And then he had gotten completely lost. So, giving up on finding the group, he'd taken to the rooftops to sit there grinning, and deciding on what to do, and when or how he should find them so that he could go back home at the end of the week. He hadn't seen any of his scattered classmates when he'd gotten onto the roof, but he'd seen a few places worth checking out.
Ren descended from the rooftop. Since he wore no Gigai, no one that was not spiritually aware could see him. He took off with great running speed towards his destination. So then, what was Ren's destination? Quite simply, he was heading towards a blacksmith shop he'd seen. He knew where it was from seeing overhead, and he did in fact soon reach it. It was rare to find shops like this in the human world, and even proper ones in Rukongai were scarce. This one looked very legitimate. It was probably a family owned business from when Karakura Town was first founded. Ren started looking around, searching for something to tell him average katana prices.

OOC: Posting order will be as follows: Kisune, Kyoemi, Ren, Kyomei, Taien, Kyomei. I was told that this is the normal way of doing things. If it is not, then it can be changed.
IC: It was finally the day of the field trip. People had been making plans for weeks, such as saving money, practicing languages and accents, even studying some basic customs of different cultures. Now that the time was finally here, crowds started to form outside of the Senkaimon gate. More people than the administration had planned for. It was the previous plan to group strong students with weak students to form some sort of balance, with two Shinigami volunteers to go along with each group. Due to the disparity between volunteers and students, the administration rushed to have the more powerful students grouped together in order to only have one volunteer in that group.
Taien and Kisune would find themselves sorted into a group that was currently just the two of them. An averagely tall, curly blonde haired man was their escort. "Greetings you two, you're pretty strong for students, so I get to be your sole escort. If anyone else decently powerful shows up then we will add them to the group, but for now this is it. I'm Fijo Ceth, and I'm the best Shinigami when it comes to travel. As a part of Squad 13, I've been to every section of the land of the living and collected a souvenir from each one. Except one place, a little town named Karakura Town. That'll be our destination."
MEANWHILE
Ren wandered around in the blacksmith's shop, looking for the prices. The blacksmith was a large, hairy man, who reeked of sweat and fish. A large raw fish, half devoured set on his counter, and he tore at it with his teeth. As Ren got close the man paused his bite to stare directly at him. His eyes were like cloudy storms and as he looked at Ren his mouth flapped open, talking with a massive chunk of fish hanging in his mouth. "Ren... Ren... REN... REN... REN!" He was muttering at first, until his calling was like the screaming of seagulls. The world started to shake and Ren would find himself tossed about on a raft by giant waves.
As the waves crashed down, Ren's eyes would snap open, realizing that he had been only dreaming of the field trip. A good friend of his stood over him and had been shaking him awake, seeing as he was going to be late to the groupings if he didn't hurry. As they arrived at the Senkaimon, Ren would assuredly be placed in the group under the supervision of Fijo Ceth. As the professors hurried to finish up the groupings, Fijo's now complete group would head through the Senkaimon first. Taien, Ren, and Kisune were on their way to their adventure in the land of the living.

Kisune had arrived at the Senkaimon gate along with a ton of other students. Apparently he wasn't the only one who thought that it was a great idea to take some time off and go to the human world. As he looked around, he only saw a few recognizable people who were already in big enough groups with others. Soon he too was in a group with another student, who like himself had been training a lot and gained some strength and notoriety. Their group leader welcomed them both and introduced himself as Fijo Ceth. He also said he was the best traveler and was from Squad 13. Whether this was true was really unknown, but he had to believe him.
After Fijo was finished, Kisune turned to Taien and said, "Hey there. Ready for a trip on the other side?" Sure this was a simple question that was truly pointless since they were both there for that reason, but small talk was always fun. "Who else do you think will be joining our little group?" he asked with a more serious tone. However before long a third student arrived before it was too late and joined their group. Kisune had heard of the name Ozuru Ren, but he had never met him nor seen him. Though the name came with some warning of his strength, stating don't fight him unless you feel you can even hit him. Though he was probably the weakest of the three, he felt safe with these two next to him.

"Who else do you think will be joining our little group?" Kisune was trying to be friendly, as his ego considered himself to be the lowest of the group. Fijo shrugged, but it didn't take long for the professors to assign one more student under his protection. It didn't appear like he cared very much, whether or not there was students with him he was still going to the last place on his list of major sites to visit. After he had finished the list, he had no clue what he was going to do with his life. One of the professors came up to Fijo, whispered a few words into his ear, then left to go do some more administrative tasks. Fijo turned to face the trio, looking each one of them in the eyes as he spoke.
"This is not going to be a field trip for the purpose of 'fun' or 'amusement', you understand? This trip is about learning the ways of the Shinigami as well as the ways of the mortal. We will not be taking gigai, for we will be studying the mortals, not interacting with them. There will be no brothel visits, no bar nights, and definitely NO country concerts on this trip. We've been given the go ahead to proceed through the Senkaimon. If you've not been through travel class, here's the basics. RUN LIKE HELL!" With a final nod of his head, he motioned to the gate operators for the Senkaimon to be opened for them. Next stop, Karakura Town.

OOC: Bloody fraking Time-Lords Batman! Sorry I wasn't here all, between school and getting ready for a funeral, I've had a lot on my plate over the past few weeks. Time to get the groove back! Short post sadly, still lots to do. . .
IC: "Haha! Ren-San should be around here somewhere, i'm sure he'll join us at some point!"
Taien replied with a knowing grin to Kisune. As he did, it appeared the time for departure was underway, and Fijo-San gave a short rundown on what they were going to do.
"This is not going to be a field trip for the purpose of 'fun' or 'amusement', you understand? This trip is about learning the ways of the Shinigami as well as the ways of the mortal. We've been given the go ahead to proceed through the Senkaimon. If you've not been through travel class, here's the basics. RUN LIKE HELL!"
With that, the portal slammed open and students began to pour into it. Taien grabbed both his fellow Students and grinned widely.
"Haha! Hold on tightly, next stop, Karakura Town!"
Taien sped into a Shunpo, the two coming with him at high speed. For the other two, who probably hadn't learned Shunpo yet, it would appear to them as if time and space itself streched around Taien as he sped down the purple corridor. To Taien, it was more akin to being in a car and watching out the window. You don't seem to be going that fast, but yet you are. He had mastered it to the extent that he could still pick out things in detail going by.
As they approached the exit, Taien began to slow down, coming to a stop just on the threshold of the door to the World of the Living. No doubt their Shinigami escort would be along shortly either. Taien let go of the two and gave them both a huge grin that threatened to split his face in two.
"So! How did you two like your first taste of Shunpo. Pretty fast eh?"

Ren had been inside of the group for a while at that point, waiting with boredom clear on his face. When he'd arrived was uncertain even to him, but he heard all of the directions. And in his mind, he also completely ignored them. The obvious truth to the matter was that he wanted to drink and kill Hollows. Disobeying was something that he was obviously considering. Seeing as he'd gained quite a reputation already, and amassed some great skill with the two katana that he had sheathed at his sides, he figured that most people wouldn't rat him out if he was to go off by himself. Of course, first, he'd see what the group's main objective was. It was important as a learning experience to note what kind of formations, organization, and challenges the Shinigami could provide.
So he went with the rest of the group, through the Senkai Gate and into the human world. Once he entered through Karakura Town, he felt a sudden feeling of better reiatsu control in his body. Ordinarily he simply flat out could not control reiatsu very well. But in this case, he felt as if he could even stand in the air, on the air's floating residual reiatsu particles. And perhaps he could, but he would not yet try it. Ren was going to wait for things to settle down first, and wait for further directions. After that, he'd decide on his next course of action. He suddenly had this itch. He most certainly wanted to cut someone or something. And when he got around to it, he'd be quite happy with the fact that he was doing it.

The Senkaimon gate opened and the four men entered it without hesitation. Fijo hung back a little in order to provide aggressive motivation with his boot if necessary, however it quickly became unnecessary as Taien grabbed a hold of Ren and Kisune and executed a Shunpo forwards. Whether it was excessive or not didn't matter, for it worked regardless. Fijo simply broke out into a light jog, knowing he'd catch up soon. The three students would speed through the Senkaimon at breakneck speeds, however it would appear like they weren't moving forwards at all, due to the bland uniformity of the walls and the floor.
Taien's Shunpo could only travel so far, and though it was fairly fast it was only for a single step and wouldn't travel the whole length of the Senkaimon, though it would get close. As Taien stretched the limit of his Shunpo, being forced to come out of it as there was no more distance that could be drawn out by a single step, they would quickly be assaulted by the main thing they had been out running - the stench. The smell of the dark ooze of the walls and the rotting flesh of the less fortunate would force its way into their sinuses, which would probably be extremely unnerving. If the trio of students had never been into the Senkaimon before, it would be an interesting experience of darkness, death, and fear. However, the Senkaimon trip was short and Taien's Shunpo would have carried them almost at the edge, requiring a few more steps to leave the tunnel.
The trio would step out into the fresh air, the warm spring sun shining in a clear blue sky. They'd come out of the gate into the Karakura open air market at the height of the day. There were fresh fruits, human delicacies like pie, and a huge variety of seafood. The savory smells of the market would definitely purge away any lingering smell of death from the Senkaimon. As the students reacted to possibly their first look at the bright, sunny Land of the Living, Fijo Ceth came out of the Senkaimon and the gate closed, causing their week long field trip to be officially started. "Now before you guys go running off, I gotta give the "stay safe, stick by me" speech. Ahem. Stay safe, stick by - uungh!"
Suddenly, a long spike grew out of Fijo's face colored red with the Shinigami's blood. The Hollow had been standing behind the Senkaimon gate when it closed, and when the doorway had faded it struck, driving its tentacle through his head. It appeared to be either a floating brain with tentacles or a pulsating jellyfish. Regardless of what it looked like, the lone eye of the purple beast was staring dead ahead in the direction of the students, but not at them. Images flickered in the eye, before it settled on a series of numbers. "Time until Senkaimon opening: six days, twenty three hours, fifty seven minutes. Coordinates registered, data sent. Invasion ready."
The voice of the Hollow was emotionless, the words possibly frightening. In approximately a week, the Soul Society was going to open up the Senkaimon gate for the students without going through the usual checks and balances to let in Hollows. In one week, a possibly large scale force was going to kill a massive amount of students and cut down many Shinigami in the process, if nothing could be done to stop it. With Fijo dead, the trio of students had no way of contacting the Soul Society themselves, leaving them stranded with a gathering invasion force for an entire week. Also, they were still right next to a Hollow that had just killed their escort and would turn its attention to them in just a short moment if they didn't act fast.

OOC: Yeah sorry for such a late post. Things have been busy plus I haven't really been feeling like posting since I rarely get posted for. I'll try to be more attentive to this thread if it stays busy.
IC:
Kisune was the weakest of the group as Ozuru Ren joined their group. He didn't care to be the weakest as he hoped that he would create some good teamwork with the others on this trip. The Senkaimon would be trouble if they didn't move quick, but that was handled for the most part by Taien. His shunpo was quick and it seemed to move them through the portal at a rapid pace. However the senkaimon was long as even a shunpo of that caliber didn't get them to the end which forced them to quickly run the rest of the way. Of course Kisune was last out followed by their escort, but at least they were out.
The human world was certainly different from soul society as the atmosphere was completely different. Temperature and weather would affect them more here as well as possible dangers. Fijo went to give a safety brief, but it was cut short by a tentacle penetrating his head. He was dead on the spot, nothing could save him. Was this his fault? No it couldn't have been. There was nothing to warn them of the dangers. Seeing the hollow, Kisune jumped back to allow the stronger students to dispatch the hollow.
They were more suited to take care of a simple hollow without wasting energy compared to Kisune who would enter mortal combat and fight with his life. With no zanpakuto he was useless in simple fights such as this, but the others had them. If they didn't take care of it, the threat by the hollow would certainly be bad for Soul Society. "I'll let you guys kill that Hollow. You both are certainly more capable than I to do it," he stated.

OC: THREAD RESURRECTION NO JUTSU!
IC: Taien wasn't quite as rattled by the smell and presence of the place, though he did agree it smelled awful. Thankfully his Shunpo had been used to the greatest length he could get out of it, so it wasn't too bad for him. He knew it would be better once they got outside of the Senkaimon. Taien jogged the rest of the way out with his other companions, and safely made it to the other side. Now they were out in the World of the Living, Karakura Town to be exact! It was odd, Karakura that was. It was a huge magnet that drew insane amounts of Reishi to it's location, along with a huge Hollow infestation. Other than that, and the occasional Arrancar and psychotic human with a Fullbring trying to kill Shinigami, it was a nice place to relax. Or in this case take a field trip to. This was going to be fun!
Taien stretched a bit while he waited for Fijo-San to come out of the Senkaimon, as well as fiddling with a ball of metal he seemed to have produced from nowhere. It was both futuristic-ish and dull looking at the same time, and something he was going to have to use at some point during the field trip. It was just too awesome not to. Anyway, Ren, Taien, and Kisune formed up into a line a few feet away from Fijo. The door started to close and Fijo was just about to tell them about the safety measures. How exciting!
"Now before you guys go running off, I gotta give the "stay safe, stick by me" speech. Ahem. Stay safe, stick by - uungh!"
Wait, that part at the end wasn't supposed to happen, Taien was sure. A huge claw was now present in Fijo's face, along with a good portion of his gray matter. There was a Hollow floating behind him, which must have been hiding behind the Senkaimon. The question was, how it was smart enough to do that, and why would it do that? While Taien was trying to analyze the situation as quickly as possible, he gripped the orb in his hand. It quickly changed into a knife, which he then drew his ring across, coating the blade with an aura colored after his own Reiatsu, but transparent. He changed this again into a six foot long, light, mono-molecular edged metal naginata. The Hollow started speaking during this.
Time until Senkaimon opening: six days, twenty three hours, fifty seven minutes. Coordinates registered, data sent. Invasion ready."
It was quite literally at the end of this that Taien dashed forwards and slashed the the naginata through the Hollow's mask, which would end it. This would be doable for multiple reasons; it seemed to be distracted still from the data transfer, Taien was faster than it was, and the coating on the blade would allow it to cut through the Hollow like butter. Taking all of this into account, the Hollow would be good and dead, which would cause it to dissipate back into the ether. With that out of the way, the group could focus on other, more important things. Like what to do with their now dead escort. . . . Oh, and the invasion as well.
"So. . . what do you fellows want to do with him? We can't leave him out like this, some other Hollow might come along and eat him. Do you want to bury or cremate him?"
