Alright this rp is mainly just to help me get used to using Jisho as my character. This is the last time I plan to change my shinigami around so I have decided to have a little NDE combat to get things kicked off.
Alright in this thread both combatants are Class 1
Now then, please post your stats before we begin. 1600 stats to allocate for the purpose of this rp.
A partially red covered pale hand reached up and pushed his red rimmed glasses further up his nose. As his hand dropped back down he opened his eyes to reveal their irregular color, they had a sort of double iris fashion. The inner iris around the pupil was green meanwhile the iris closest to the sclera was yellow. Not only this, but as his hand went back to his side, a smile stretched across his face as he place his left hand on his hip. "How lucky to be able to fight one such as yourself. I truly do hope to enjoy myself." He spoke with a most serious tone but the almost sinister smile across his face might have said otherwise. It could have even perhaps said he was searching for something else. Of course he wasn't. No, he only wished to test himself against someone that was supposed to be stronger than he. He wanted to show off his unique fighting style, and most of all, he wanted to prove he was a strong lieutenant as well, and not some wet-nosed brat.
Not even bothering to draw his zanpakutou, he slid out one foot in front of himself and bent his back knee to be in a most comfortable and versatile fighting position. With his left arm held in front of his body almost to act as a quick strike or quick guard he would motion to the adversary to make the first move. "Shall we raise the curtain on the first act, sir?" That creepy that showed off his jagged teeth never once fading.
A flare of reaitsu signaled his coming, filled to the brim with the essence of fear and terror. His combat boots - substituted for the normal sandals of a shinigami - padded softly on the dirt clearing. His hands were deep in the pockets of his shikahusho, the sleeves ripped off at the elbow. His Captains Haori was cut short two feet, as well as modified in a similar fashion to his shikahusho. His blade - with its purple-wrapped hilt, star shaped guard, and purple hilt - hung at his right side. Under dark brown, shoulder length hair and finely crafted eyebrows sat dark, brooding eyes, unusually intelligent, yet full of pain and suffering as well. They stared upon his opponent, not with hate or fear, but simple acknowledgment, as if he was not challenged by his opponent. Another flare of reaitsu, this one aimed at his opponent, Jisho Juzu. He would be overwhelmed by the reaitsu, which would force the flight-or-fight reflex, a millenia-old reflex the likes of which has saved man time and time again.
How lucky to be able to fight one such as yourself. I truly do hope to enjoy myself. He made indication that he heard him, his face, carefully passive, betraying nothing. Even his trained body posed a relaxed and nonthreatening position. He watched his opponent prepare himself for combat, and still, he remained calm. Shall we raise the curtain on the first act, sir? He didn't move his body, but instead, he inclined his head, indicating his opponent to make his move; he was far too experienced for that. He didn't get to be 'The Bane of West Rukon' for rashly rushing into battle, after all. However, what Jisho wouldn't see is his mind working in overdrive, contemplating and plotting the fight. As a final move, he let his reaitsu swirl around him, dark and terrifying. Maybe it would make Jisho think twice about attacking.

He never once moved. No, instead he stood there wearing that calm expression on his features. He never once spoke, instead just inclined his head. Why wouldn't he get in a battle ready stance? Why was he just standing there, calm as day and cool as night? Perhaps he wasn't threatened at all by the Lieutenant. That would make sense, right? Him a Captain not being intimidated by a Lieutenant. Yes, that would. However, that didn't mean that the Captain would not try to intimidate the Lieutenant. The crimson maned Lieutenant would feel the malicious reiatsu bear down upon him, causing sweat to bead the male's brow. However, perhaps not causing the reaction the Captain would have wanted. An almost insane smile appeared on the Lieutenant's face. "So scary Taichou... You're reiatsu certainly has the effect it is famed for. Fight or Flight, heh." His voice rang out in a bit of a cackle. "Tanoshii. Tanoshii. Tanoshii." At this point the Lieutenant would definitely seem quite odd to the Captain. Did this guy actually enjoy being scared? Or was it perhaps he was so excited it didn't matter to him whether he was scared or not? No matter, the Captain was instilling him with fear, and yet, he seemed to enjoy it!
As the Captain inclined for the Lieutenant to make the first move, Jisho simply stood there, his mind working, and the effects of the reiatsu slowly wearing off. Jisho was a tactician more than anything else, he would not simply charge in, no, he would wait a bit and think through his first maneuver. The Captain had to be doing something similar, why else would he not attack first? Jisho was no fool, he knew he shouldn't attack first, at least not directly. So what would be his first move? Wait for the Captain to strike? Unleash Shikai now and use a Golem? Or perhaps, start out with a Kidou attack. Agh, so many possibilities to choose from, and Jisho didn't dare go Hakuda, not yet.
"So scary Taichou... You're reiatsu certainly has the effect it is famed for. Fight or Flight, heh. Tanoshii, Tanoshii, Tanoshii!" Kubi slightly raised an eyebrow, a muscle action that could be misconstrued as a simple twitch. He took no action other than stemming the flow of reaitsu; it wouldn't do to weaken himself now. Again, he made no indication of preparing for a fight; even his muscles were relaxed. Instead, Kubi reached into his front pocket and took a cigarette. Then, he took out a lighter, lighting the cigarette and sticking it in between his mouths. Re-pocketing the lighter and pack of cigarettes, he took a deep puff and blew it. He watched the swirling cloud of smoke disappear into the afternoon sky. He then looked back at Jisho, staring him down, no animosity present in his eyes. Instead, only iron-cold determination and that pain and hurt that were constants in his eyes. He regularly took a puff on the cigarette; each time, he watched the swirling smoke disappear until it dissipated among the clouds. He was the epitome of casualness.

Jisho's eye brow twitched as he watched the plume of smoke rise from the cigarette and in turn Kubi's lips. Cigarettes... Cigars... There was nothing Jisho hated more than Tobacco products other than disloyalty. This look of disgust clearly evident on his face as he held up a finger. "Hadou no Ichi, Sho." He aimed to knock the cigarette away, for if it not only the fact the things are absolutely horrid for you, but they made Jisho cough whenever he gets caught up in the smoke. Something he most disliked. His brow furrowed as he now wanted to destroy the cigarettes the captain carried. "Tch... Now you've gone and pissed me off, great, just great Captain." He put too much emphasis in his voice, it was almost as if he were acting. He held up his arms, "Oh great, now we have a problem. But worry not fair maiden for I shall destroy the heinous villain." It was clear that Jisho was now serious when he got like this. Drawing his blade he held it in front of himself with the tip of the blade facing the ground and the black wrapped hilt held firmly in his left hand. He slowly brought the blade before his face obscuring his right eye. "So begins the first act, as our hero valiantly challenges the heinous villain. Will she call upon thy land for help. Or will she strike down thy foe of her own accord, only time will tell." He spoke referring to himself with feminine acronyms as he often did. Now he would wait a bit longer and analyze the adversary. He wished to see if the adversary would make some sort of move, or would Jisho be forced to open?
