A nice Skyrim RP. Could go any way, depending on the actions of the multiple Dovahkiin [Dragonborn] in the thread. Oh, yes. Everyone who engages in this thread is a Dovahkiin. I recommend you have a good knowledge of Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls, particularly the abilities and capabilities of individual races.
Balanced races [non-Mage Dark Elves, Imperials, Wood Elves] have no particular pros or cons when it comes to speed & stealth, stoutness & power or magic ability.
"Sneaky" races [Khajiit, Argonians, some Elves] are faster and more stealthy than other races, but must choose to either be less capable magically or more frail physically.
Obviously, "tank" races [Nords, Orcs, Redguards] can, at the player's choice be either less magically inclined than or races, or slower, as their origins and upbringing essentially make it impossible for them to be physically frail.
Magic races are kind of obvious. Magical races [High Elves, Bretons, Dark Elf Mages] can either choose to be slower or generally more fragile, in exchange for being more magically capable.
All characters start with two spells; Flames, a gout of fire, short-ranged, and Healing, which is somewhat obvious.
Character rules:
You get fifteen individual thu'um [Words]. These can be spread from anything between fifteen weak Shouts, to five full-level Shouts. Shouts have IC time cooldowns, to prevent the characters from being able to batter foes with torrents of powerful Shouts like Yol-Toor-Shul [Fire Breath], as the use of Shouts would be physically taxing. 'Low-level' Shouts like Fus-Ro-Dah [Unrelenting Force] or Wuld-Na-Kest [Whirlwind Rush] have cooldowns that begin at ten seconds and compile by ten seconds for every extra Word in the Shout.
'Mid-level' Shouts, such as Frost Breath or Become Ethereal [and again] will begin at fifteen seconds and compile by fifteen seconds for every Word used in the Shout.
'High-level' Shouts, such as Yol-Toor-Shul [Fire Breath] have a forty-second cooldown initially, which will compile by twenty seconds for every word of the Shout.
Note that you may use another shout before a cooldown is completed, but it will exhaust your character for the approximate time remaining in the cooldown, plus twenty seconds.
All characters may call a Dragon, which will arrive in the next post and last for six posts. Write in a different color to RP your Dragon's thoughts and speech, with two lines between the seperate 'posts'. You may RP your Dragon only once in each post. I recommend posting your character's actions, then his Dragon's actions, then your character's post-Dragon actions in a post. You may call a Dragon only three times in the RP. Ever.
Regardless of their appearance, all Dragons have equal capabilities as killing machines. [describe in a spoiler in the post after the Shout is used. Dragons must have three-syllable names, the name being used to call the Dragon in a Shout that will make the character unable to Shout again for five minutes.]
Characters in the RP are mid-tier. As such, they may have the following items:
-One set of Steel or equivalent armor, or a mage's robe of select color.
-One Steel two-handed weapon [Greatsword, Battleaxe, Warhammer] or a 'large' one-handed weapon [Sword, War Axe, Mace] and Steel or equivalent shield, or two Steel daggers.
-Eight potions [healing, Magicka, stamina] of Minor quality. These would be useful to stabilise dying patients, close deep lacerations and partially repair bone damage, restore enough Magicka to fire off a good half-dozen basic spells, or rejuvenate someone by roughly 'ten percent', to put it numerically.
-Three potions [healing, Magicka, stamina] the normal quality (no prefix). These can be potentially used to bring a dying person back to a 'wounded' state [able to fight, but usually as if they have several broken ribs, a broken arm, etcetera.], restore a lost limb in partially working order, restore 'half' of a decent mage's Magicka, or restore 'fifty percent', to put it numerically, of someone's stamina.
-One potion [healing, Magicka, stamina] of Ultimate quality. This is really a last-resort thing. These potions have the potential to revive someone who has died within about a minute, return a dying drinker to full fighting condition [all wounds healed], give a Mage enough Magicka to bring down a battalion of the average bandits, or give someone enough stamina to fight, run and climb tirelessly for an hour, regardless of what they do. You may not regain your Ultimate-quality potion once you have used it.
-Two 'boosting' potions. [potions of health, light feet, etcetera.]
A bow, fifty arrows
You may also choose from one of the following:
-Eight spells of any type, of your choosing. Note that higher-level spells will be particularly draining on your Magicka. Obviously, Mages will benefit from this the most.
-Two bonus Thu'um
-Protection of The Eight [or Talos, if you wish], which will bring you back from the dead only once. Ever.
Describe your character while setting the scene in your first post. A good example is "The [Race] [X action] [X place. I don't mind people joining later if they feel so inclined. They have to be near the others when they begin, though.] [begin describing character while you RP them. No attacking on the first post, please. It's stupid to just charge blindly at someone or a group of people without a good motivation and a bit of prior planning or preparation. Remember what I said initially, though; This may become any kind of RP, from a group of adventurers kicking ass to a throng of bounty hunter characters competing for the head of a single target character, or even just the everyday life, after the defeat of Alduin, of multiple latent Dovahkiin in a particular Hold, such as Whiterun, or some town in the area. Anything goes after the opening!]
I will take the role of a DM alongside being a player. Note that the thread will begin on the busy streets of Whiterun on a typical breezy, cool Skyrim summer day.
Well, I'll post my intro sometime, but for now, think about it and introduce your characters if need be. I recommend mundane activities, such as shopping, just walking around and taking in what you see, or doing something like smithing, training or alchemic work. Even running from a group of guards, a lynch mob or whatever. You can open up with whatever takes your fancy, within the opening scenario, so get to it and have fun.

Ra'viir [yes, I am using the Khajiit shopkeeper in Balmora in Morrowind as an example, for the hell of it.] pointed to the grizzled warrior about to strike down one of his less-capable friends via throwing an axe. He shouts, "Kill him, Nazilldar!" as the Dragon under his control swoops near his target.
The great beast Nazilldar, fifty-two feet in length, eighteen feet in breadth, of a tapered snout, barbed tail spike and bronze scales, swooped over his Khajiit master, after his indicated prey. Closer, ever closer in the space of split-seconds, his tail poised to impale his quarry.
"Gotcha!" The Dragon snarled in its deep, rumbling voice as it impaled the burly, heavily-armored male with its tail spike. He died instantly and soundlessly. Nazilldar threw him against the ground, causing the sounds of bone breaking on impact. The Dragon then rose into the air once more to watch over his Khajiit master and the battle raging around him.
The Khajiit nodded up to his Dragon, a smile on his face. He made a short salute of respect and reengaged in the melee around him.
