The gears in Jin's mind were working themselves pretty hard as he was heading towards the hotel where the fundraiser was to be hosted. His face was calm and serious as he slipped into deep thought. His hands were simply clasped together, resting in his lap. In his head, Jin was going through each and every little detail in order to formulate his plan. This was something that Jin was good at. He had planned for centuries to get revenge on the Shinigami. Though to this day, he still hadn't exacted his revenge, he was still able to enact the plan he had come up with. He had help, but still. Jin had been patiently biding his time and planning for an opportunity to destroy the Shinigami. Jin had patience in these kinds of things. Even if it took almost 3 centuries.
Jin's mind first went over the hotel where the party would be. He couldn't come up with his plan to take out Guillaume if he didn't figure out how to get in there first. First things first was that he didn't know the layout of the building at all. He had tried googling it after finding out about the place during his search at the library, but it didn't give him much. It only told him about the amount of rooms this hotel housed and the different types. Not really helpful in his opinion. Next, Jin went over the type of event this thing was going to be. That was important because it would determine who could get in. It was a fundraiser for high profile people. Now that he thought about it, he wouldn't be considered very high profile here. His company was in England. Not in Paris. He realized that he wasn't going to be able to get in with his Executive status. That meant plan B.
Sadly, Bount didn't have a shape shifting technique and Jin's doll wouldn't help him much in appearing to be someone else. Even if it did, he'd need it to disguise his voice as well. That plan was a failure. Rather than disguise himself as someone else, Jin could act as a resident. He could just check into the hotel. Or could he? It would be pretty suspicious that someone was checking into the hotel this specific night. This thing was pretty high profile, so they might not even let in commoners. If that was so, that meant they would probably be checking people. There might be a list...and even security checks! Security checks meant metal detectors and all that jazz. Yeah, Jin was kind of screwed if he went through one of those. His yoyo were made of metal as was his convert-a-weapon. His yoyo might slide because they looked like yoyo. Plus, only he knew how to activate the blades on them. However, the convert-a-weapon wouldn't slide. It looked too suspicious. It might be mistaken for a bomb.
Jin was sitting and planning and the taxi car was drawing closer and closer to the hotel. He had already gone through three plans already. He didn't have much time. He needed to come up with more plans and think through every single detail so as not to mess them up. He needed to have back up plans to his back up plans. He couldn't just rely on using his powers as his main backup plan. What if there was someone else with reiatsu that was attending this thing? What if Guillaume himself could use reiatsu? Death-sama never told him he couldn't. What if Guillaume was a reiatsu being or maybe just someone that was affiliated with them? Death Inc. apparently wanted him dead, so he had to be some kind of threat. Either with reiatsu of his own or affiliation with other reiatsu.
This was not good at all. Mainly because Jin was missing a major part of information. The fact of whether or not Guillaume could use reiatsu. Jin couldn't truly plan well without that little piece of information. A professional assassin didn't need information like that; however, Jin wasn't a professional assassin. If he planned on doing things the normal way and then it turned out reiatsu was involved and he wasn't using any reiatsu, then he would be screwed. If he was using reiatsu, and there was no need for him to, he would be wasting it. Though, it would probably be better to just to be on the safe side. He just had to be careful so that he wasn't caught. That would really suck. If he was caught, his face would be linked to Charles Lutner, the man he was posing as. Then, they'd find information from his past. They'd find the man that escaped execution at a prison in London. The man that became Jin Yamada.
Jin just couldn't take any risks. No matter what came into his mind, he just couldn't think of a plan that was successful. He had scrapped his plan to get in using the fake identification name given to him by Death-sama because he wasn't sure if Jojo's Yoyos would be as famous here as it was in London. He couldn't even wait on the rooftop because security would probably have that covered too. This was a high profile event. Security was bound to be pretty tight. That was why he wasn't going to be able to really plan for this thing. He'd just have to wing it. That was the conclusion that he had come to. No more planning. From here on out, everything was being done on the fly. He did it in battle anyway. He just had to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.
Jin's taxi cab was pulling up about three blocks from the hotel. The cab driver told him that there was a bunch of cars lined up in front of the hotel dropping off its high-profile passengers, which is why he couldn't get any closer. That was cool with Jin because now he had more time to think things through as he headed there. He got out of the cab, handing the driver some money for his troubles and then began walking towards the hotel. His keen senses allowed him to see and hear what was going on even from where he was. He noticed the security guards and the places where they were stationed. Most of them were grouped around the entrance. His eyes roamed around, scanning everywhere as he moved forwards.
Those guys look pretty tough...I have to be really careful. Some of them look like they're holding concealed weapons from the looks of it. I doubt I could dodge all of their bullets. Jin's eyes moved over to his left, where he noticed a dark alleyway. He was about one block from the hotel now when he ducked into that dark alleyway. From there, he would watch the hotel and keep track of who was going in and out. Guillaume himself was probably already inside. Jin knew what he looked like though, so he would still be able to spot him if he did come through the front entrance. From here, he could also watch out for others. A guy like this who even Death Inc. was after had to have normal assassins after him as well. Death-sama seemed liked he wanted the job done pretty soon, which gave Jin the impression that he probably wasn't the only one after Guillaume.
