1. Bleach Diamond Dust Rebellion OST 20: Recollection III
Wind. This was all that could be said to truly be left on the battlefield. Despite the risen mountains from an earlier battle, despite the craters and destroyed buildings everywhere, this whole town was in an enormous wreck. It was because of this fight that such things has happened. Luckily, the town was fake. The town of Fake Karakura, which before had even been subjected to another battle several decades ago, was now on the verge of being obliterated, along with those that were attempting to use it to protect their homes. It was King Shada's strength that brought all of this about. His evil, which crushed down on everyone, was causing this war and strife. People had fallen all around. Neither Espada nor Captains could presently continue to do battle. None of the Escudo minions remained, and even Asa Escudo had fallen.
Sonken Kouhai could fight no more, and no Garganta or Senkaimon could presently reach this place. All around, there was emptiness. The battle had long since ended. Squad 4 of course had been the one to seal this place off. Everyone had been evacuated. There were no more Shinigami or Arrancar here. The only one left in this town thus far was King Shada, who walked throughout the wreckage of it all, examining it as he let his power grow. Of course, his objective was obvious. Soon, he would be able to open his own portal to where he truly wanted to go. To the real Karakura Town. He had no plans of making the King's Key, but instead he would absorb the spiritual mass of Karakura Town. That had been his declared plan. Using his new powers, he would gain so much reiatsu that he would match the Spirit King. It was his belief that this was possible.
His walk was a slow, calm one really. All in all, there wasn't much to it other than that. King Shada put his hand over a still intact house, curious at how the structure had managed to survive all of the punishment that Fake Karakura had been taking. Suddenly however, it instantly exploded into pieces, splintering apart in King Shada's presence. Yes, of course. Something that feeble could never be a match for the sheer level of reiatsu pouring off of King Shada. It was only natural. And yet, despite all of this, things were somber, melancholy. Nothing could truly be said to be moving. King Shada rose up high into the air to stand on the air ground, and to tower above Karakura Town the fake, looking down on it one last time, witnessing what his war had done. The time to create a portal had arrived. He was just about to do this, when someone new arrived.
Smash! Appearing out of nowhere in a huge blast of reiatsu, a newcomer that King Shada had probably forgotten about, and should have expected. This one, who had not yet participated in the battle thus far. The 35th Captain Commander of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads of the Soul Society. Kyousou Ningen, The Strong Man. He was huge, and his shirt was already off. Wearing only the pants of a Shinigami, his huge muscular torso was visible even then, and his white beard was flowing. His bald head was wispy, and his scarred body glinted in the bright sunlight. This was a man that was ready to murder. He had three zanpakuto sheathed at his side. The first two were his own, while the third was Ryuujin Jakka, the normal blade of the Captain Commander. King Shada cocked his head to one side, observing the Captain Commander. The Strong Man kept his eyes on King Shada.
When he spoke in that moment, his voice was a powerful booming cry. "MALDAGA SASORI! FOR CRIMES AGAINST THE SOUL SOCIETY, SUCH AS WARRING, MURDER, CONSPIRACY, AND TREACHERY, YOU WILL HEREBY BE FORMALLY EXECUTED." King Shada laughed, a booming laugh. It was with a level of radiance even higher than that of the Captain Commander. "Can you really do it, Kyousou Ningen? Can you kill me? Are you strong enough at this point?!" The Captain Commander didn't say anything at all in that moment, only glared at King Shada. "The truth is, NO! YOU CAN'T! YOU'RE NO MATCH FOR ME! HAHAHAHAHA!" He had become consumed by his own power. The Strong Man blinked once, and then slowly, with exaggerated process, began cracking his various joints and bones in preparation for battle. King Shada continued to laugh. "Cocky bastard." he said. "Just because you're the Captain Commander."
The Strong Man drew out his two Zanpakuto, and slid them into his back. He stabbed himself in his own back, sliding the blades in at the back of the shoulders, just past his bones, and leaving them sticking out there, protruding and causing blood to leak out. Then, he drew out Ryuujin Jakka. "Reduce all of creation to smoldering ashes, Ryuujin Jakka." Huge orange and gold flames began forming everywhere, roaring in a huge burning inferno surrounding both of these high level people. The Captain Commander's eyes were glowing with light. King Shada flicked his hand, and a giant surge of blue flames exploded everywhere, obliterating the golden and orange flames. "Your fire is inferior to mine, Kyousou Ningen. You can't beat me with fire. Even Ryuujin Jigoku's hundred miles of black flames would lose to the power of Tenkai."
Stop music.
The Strong Man smiled coldly in that instant. King Shada seemed taken aback. "What's so funny?" he asked. The Captain Commander stopped smiling, and simply cocked his head to one side to crack it, then to the other side. When his head was normal again, he spoke. "My flames cannot defeat yours, you say? That's fine, then. Ryuujin Jakka is the most powerful Zanpakuto. It took me months to discover its true secret. The Bankai is not set in stone. Ryuujin Jakka's Bankai has not been obtained by anyone else because they attempted to imitate Satsujun's version. It varies from Captain Commander to Captain Commander, based on their soul and their power. The black flames are not what you will see." King Shada's eyes widened a little bit, then settled. "No matter what kind of flames you have, you cannot defeat mine." he said at last. The Strong Man grinned again. "That's just it, Maldaga Sasori..." he said with a cackle. "My Bankai...is water."
King Shada's eyes widened. "W...what?" he stammered. The Strong Man grinned. "Learn your place, boy. . ." he said. Then, his reiatsu began massively rising, exploding off of his body. It was huge, a presence unlike anything ever witnessed before. "Flood the world and rid it of all life...Ryuujin Rengoku." King Shada gasped as suddenly, a huge pressure blasted down on the entire area. Not just one small mile, but the entire town of False Karakura was crushed by an enormous gravitational pressure. It was instant, and even King Shada was having trouble staying on his feet. His knees were shaking visibly, bumping together ferociously. That was when it happened. Appearing out of nowhere, a giant surge of water. Instantly, both The Strong Man and King Shada were in the water, submerged. It was huge, a gigantic ocean that had suddenly come to cover False Karakura.
The entire town was covered by an ocean now. An area stretching across thousands of miles had become ocean. This was in a rather desolate and abandoned area, sealed off by Kido so that this Fake Karakura could be here undisturbed, and any attacks could be used. It was a good thing for now this ocean was massive. Worse yet, it wasn't just a ton of water. There was pressure. The depth the two were submerged at was so massive that it was like being near the bottom of the ocean. King Shada's power managed to resist it, and the two could somehow see in the water. The Strong Man was immune to his own pressure, of course. King Shada was barely even able to move under the might of the crushing pressure. And, worse yet, there was more to it than that. It one felt it, they would be dead most likely very shortly. The water was hot. It was incredibly hot.
It was heated unlike anything imaginable. It was incredible how the water did not evaporate at that level of heat. It was scientifically impossible under ordinary circumstances. The false Karakura Town was disintegrating. The mountains, land, buildings, everything. It took under a minute for everything to blacken and begin dissolving, for ash to begin to fill the water as the whole town literally vaporized within a minute, becoming ash within the sea. Even then, the ability was not through. King Shada was getting weaker and weaker. His body was being crushed more and more, and he was on all fours at that point. "There is a special power in this ocean of mine." The Strong Man declared. "Anyone caught within it is subjugated to pressure, heat, and loss. This water has a special property. It permanently drains power. Even now, you're losing all of that power that you gained! Even now, YOUR SO-CALLED GOD-LIKE POWERS ARE FADING AWAY BENEATH MY OCEAN!"
Suddenly, black reiatsu began leaking out of King Shada. He stood, roaring and sending shockwaves all throughout the water. "NO!" he screamed, his cries blasting wave upon wave of tidal energy. The earth itself shook, the ground cracked and shattered. The water around him moved viciously, huge currents exploding through it, ripping through anything nearby. "MY POWER CANNOT BE LOST! I AM A GOD!" Both could speak underwater, for whatever reason. His energy was allowing him to stand and to even fight. The black reiatsu was like a smoke, moving out of his body as his eyes glowed brighter and brighter. His veins became visible on his white skin, exposing themselves more and more and sticking out. Black tentacles started forming on his body, tendrils wrapping around him to give an even more monstrous appearance.
"THIS IS...MY POWER! MY WORLD NOW! I WILL NEVER LOSE IT TO THE LIKES OF YOU! JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE THE CAPTAIN COMMANDER DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN LOOK DOWN ON ME! AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" His body started expanding even more in muscle as a mouth tore itself open on his face, a shark-like mouth with shark-like teeth. He continued to roar as multiple sets of eyes started forming on the face. Horns grew out of his head. Giant wings shot out, and so did eight or nine tails. He was truly becoming a beast. A real monster. A blade of blue flames, somehow sustained in the water, materialized in his left hand. King Shada flew forwards, slashing at the Captain Commander with great speed and strength. The Strong Man side stepped, and punched straight into King Shada's face, blasting him backwards as gold blood erupted out of a broken nose.
"YOU'LL NEVER DEFEAT ME. YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY KILL ME!" King Shada cried out. His body grew even taller, doubling in height as his muscles began growing too. He was becoming more and more grotesque with each passing second. He swung towards the Captain Commander again, so fast that he easily scored a deep slash which drew blood, and then cauterized the wound instantly. The Captain Commander cursed, but grabbed King Shada's wrist and punched him in the stomach. Blood of gold color exploded out of King Shada's demonic mouth, but he didn't seem to care. This time, he tore away and flew around. He started circling the Captain Commander as he grew two more wings under his already existing ones, making four wings in total. "I WILL NOT DIE AGAINST YOU!" he declared. The Captain Commander said nothing at all.
"SILENCE!" The Strong Man declared, blasting forwards. He punched King Shada straight up in the face, and then grabbed a wing and directly ripped it off. Then, he began rapid punching King Shada's body, blood popping out cleanly everywhere, gold in color, as he continued to beat on the one that had caused all of this trouble. "DO NOT BE SO COCKY, FOOLISH BABY. YOU ARE THOUSANDS OF YEARS TOO EARLY TO BELIEVE YOURSELF ABOVE ME, OR EVEN ON PAR WITH ME." He pounded on King Shada again, hurling him downwards. He flew after him, grabbing him by the throat after catching up, and hurling him back upwards. He followed in pursuit soon after that, and spun around to kick King Shada's face. King Shada was taking a severe beating against the Captain commander, that much was obvious. It was clear that this wasn't going to be easy for him anymore.
King Shada rushed forwards, trying to smash the Strong Man in the face. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The Strong Man sidestepped, then grabbed the arm and snapped it right then and there. King Shada screamed, but slashed the Captain Commander with the other arm right after that. The Strong Man ignored this, and broke the first arm in a second blade. King Shada yanked away, flying away as he started snapping his arm back into place in both places of breakage, allowing some sort of regeneration to heal him. The Strong Man did not let him get far, for he followed just to kick King Shada again. He was beating on him with a huge accumulated force. It was massive, and it was definitely strong. King Shada tried to get away, but The Strong Man grappled him in a wrestling hold from behind, and used applied pressure to pop out both of King Shada's arm joints, dislocating his shoulders. Then, he snapped them both at the elbow again.
He released, and round house kicked King Shada, sending him flying high. King Shada was screaming in agony as the Strong Man followed him, grabbing him by the face and crushing around his face. He started punching King Shada's stomach repeatedly, beating into it over and over again. He didn't let up with attacking it. It was getting pounded time and time again, annihilating King Shada's physical body, which he had given so much power. That power now was fading from him in the presence of the Captain Commander's Bankai, which seemed to be the perfect attack for such an occasion as this. Truly, perhaps he was not at the same level as Satsujun, but Kyousou Ningen's Bankai had surpassed Satsujun's at the very least. This was a massive and powerful attack sequence. King Shada...was being crushed without any mercy at all.
At last, when the two separated from battle, and King Shada was left with nothing but panting, it became obvious that the fight had truly taken some nasty turns for him. Blood was oozing from dozens of huge wounds. His wings dissolved away, and he shrunk back down to normal height. His joints and the like snapped back into place, all dislocations and broken bones healing themselves, fixing him up. His wounds began to seal, and his tails and extra eyes dissolved. Within a few moments, King Shada was at 5'10 in height, the veins gone too. His skin was simply covered in the white, his mouth had vanished once again too. His eyes were glowing red, and his hair still was not present, though the crown was. His violet robes had turned crimson, and shrunk to fit him. The gold cuirass remained present. The Captain Commander had truly done a number on him.
"It was...foolish of me...to fight you with that form..." King Shada whispered. "Devoting so much to that appearance...was stupid." He materialized instantly in front of The Strong Man, slashing across his chest a third time with the blue flame blade. The Strong Man gasped. Speed-wise, he could not keep up with King Shada, even if that speed had dropped drastically. Two more slashes impacted after that, and the Strong Man backed off. King Shada exhaled dramatically, slowly pausing. "My power...has quite dwindled...under your Bankai..." he whispered. "But...the strength that Teliki bestowed upon me...That will not let me lose. It won't allow you of all people...to do anything to me..." The Strong Man was panting too now. This fight had taken a turn for the worst. On his last vestiges of power, King Shada was finally giving it everything that he had.
Though his 'everything' was no longer what it had been only an hour or so earlier, it was still quite a force to be reckoned with. To attempt to deal with that power was most certainly not easy. And, to make matters worse, the water was losing its strength. With The Strong Man taking such heavy injury, with King Shada heading for him and slashing mercilessly, his strength was dwindling. A few more landed blows did it. The ocean just evaporated, vanishing completely. They stood in the air, the two combatants, with King Shada now obviously in the lead for this fight. However, he was much weaker than before, one must never forget that. Yet, he was still stronger then than the Captain Commander. Kyousou Ningen could no longer win this fight. Not with all of this power moving out of King Shada. The Strong Man drew his blades out of his back, and prepared to continue to fight, though.
A hand suddenly rested itself on The Strong Man's shoulder from behind. King Shada's eyes widened, as did the Captain Commander's. The Strong Man turned around to see the newcomer, who had a hand radiating warmth. Standing tall, Arashi Manako, the Hero, had finally arrived. "You don't have to do any more, old man." Arashi said. His eyes were confident, blazing with a fierce intensity. They were stone and flame both, glaring down at King Shada with the will to win. The eyes of the victor. Arashi took a step forwards, in front of the Captain Commander. He held out his left arm, blocking the Captain Commander from moving any farther forwards, and basically banning any protest. "I'll take it from here. I owe it to everyone that helped me out all these years with my life. This is my fight now."
Arashi had changed drastically. His hair was a few inches longer, and his strong eyes were there. He was slightly tanned, maybe even half an inch taller. His outfit was rather different and changed. He was wearing a long white cloth coat with tears along the tail ends, unzipped and draped over him. A black t-shirt was under that, and black jeans too. Red flame patterns licked at the tails of the coat. A chain was visibly wrapped around Arashi's right arm, and a red ribbon around his left. The chain was tightly wrapped, and it was connected to his white Bankai blade. Arashi wore no shoes at that point. His feet were bare. At the same time, the ribbon had green flame patterns on it. Arashi's back had seven blades jammed into it, stabbed directly into him. Golden flames were covering the surface of his skin. That was what had been meant. The seven blades of abhorrence were giving Arashi extra power, while Ryuujin Jakka had weakened King Shada to be at Arashi's current level. This fight was now perfectly even.
The Captain Commander backed off, a Senkaimon opening behind him. He could of course still get out. "Everyone needs you there in Soul Society." Arashi said. "Now go." The Captain Commander stepped into the Senkaimon, which closed shut behind him. Arashi was left alone with King Shada. "Welcome back, Arashi." King Shada said. His reiatsu started flaring around his body. "This battle, it's a bit-" he began, though Arashi instantly cut him off. "Shut up." he said. "I don't give a damn about what you have to say. After the way you hurt everyone, I'm going to kill you and go home. Just hurry up and fight me so we can get this over with." King Shada laughed out loud at Arashi's words then, the two of them facing each other off. They were dead equal in almost every single stat, it seemed. This was it, then. The final battle between the two of them would now commence.
"How rude of you to interrupt me, Arashi. What if I want to talk before we fight? Don't you know? It's standard for two equals to be able to share their feelings in words, and then convey those that they cannot through their hearts in battle." Arashi instantly materialized in front of King Shada, and a slash blew across King Shada's chest, drawing a spray of golden blood, before a punch slammed into King Shada's face, hurling him down to the wrecked and blackened ground. Arashi touched down right after that, following up by moving after King Shada, grabbing his face, and hurling him away. King Shada bounced and ricocheted on the ground, crying out. Arashi kept a cold, merciless stare as he observed King Shada, whom he had just delivered a mighty blow to. They were on levels unattainable to most, though that didn't seem to matter now.
"Who said we were equal? Where did you ever get that ridiculous impression, Sasori?" King Shada struggled a few moments before getting back up to his feet, eyes wide as Arashi talked down to him. "You and I aren't at the same level, Sasori. Just as you towered above me earlier, now I'm stronger than you. You aren't even close to my level right now." King Shada didn't speak a word. He was obviously infuriated by Arashi's words trodding on him. Arashi was certainly strong, but to be so confident in his absolute strength over King Shada? Was it even possible, or was it just hubris? Arashi had displayed with the last few moves that he really was pretty tough, and so therefore it was entirely possible that he really did hold that level of strength over King Shada. The following events of the fight of course would determine it.
Instantly, the two were in front of each other, their blades having met. With that single clash, shockwaves blew off of them, and the ground cracked and crumbled and shattered all around, enormous fissures ripping through the earth. King Shada got past Arashi's guard, slashing into his chest at the same time as Arashi did the same, slashing into King Shada's chest. Blood flew out of both of them, and they backed off from each other. King Shada slashed, and a huge blast of blue flames rushed out. It was miles in size, but instantly dissipated as Arashi swept his hand across it, blowing it apart. King Shada didn't panic at all, though. He simply continued moving, slashing wildly at Arashi, who blocked all of the slashes with one handed maneuvers, and then slashed a few of his own at King Shada, who was then forced to block Arashi's hits.
"If you're truly stronger than me, Arashi, then you won't have any problem dealing with me! Prove to me then that you aren't just getting cocky! ARASHI MANAKO, BATTLE ME!" King Shada declared. He exploded forwards, spinning in the air once as he approached Arashi. A mouth opened up on his face once again, a new shark-like one, poised and terrifying with a huge devilish grin. His blade of blue flames met with Arashi's blade, and the two clashing attacks caused even more shockwaves to rebound all around. He drew his blade back, and slashed into Arashi's again. Arashi parried this stroke, and then swatted King Shada's weapon aside and stabbed towards him. King Shada side stepped, and slashed at Arashi's face. Arashi reached out, grabbing King Shada's wrist to block him, then slashed across King Shada's chest.
King Shada caught Arashi's wrist this time, and the two broke free of each other. King Shada slashed and released a heavy blast of blue flames again, and this time Arashi punched into it, shattering it once again. His power had truly grown. With the two equal like this, with two high levels on par, it was certainly a majestic battle. Arashi moved forwards this time, a graceful glide. His blade dragged on the ground for an instant as this happened. A huge slashing mark formed on the ground, a fissure opening up in response to Arashi's massive power. King Shada glided forwards doing the same thing, twin fissures symmetrically opening up on either end as the two blades clashed. The two of them stayed there in mid clash for several instances, neither blade able to slip past the other. King Shada grinned, and Arashi kept his expressionless, confident gaze.
"You really are pretty strong right now." King Shada said. "But your big words make it still a disappointment. Are you really as strong as you boasted?" He stabbed towards Arashi, who suddenly reached out in instant reaction, grabbing the blade itself in his bare left hand. The cold fire licked at his hand, burning it, and yet even then he did not let go. King Shada gasped. His attack had been caught, and his blade stopped. Arashi then proceeded to look King Shada in the eyes, the pairs of eyes meeting up so that Arasih could take his own turn to say something now. "We're not on the same level, I told you already." Arashi noted. "I have people to protect, and you don't. My evolution is so far beyond yours that there's nothing you can possibly say or do to put yourself on par with me. It's over, Maldaga Sasori."
Arashi slashed down on King Shada's blue flame blade, and instantly it shattered and exploded, reiatsu and flames dancing around everywhere, crying out in shrieks and screams as Arashi destroyed King Shada's blade. And to King Shada, there was only absolute shock as this happened. King Shada backed off, but Arashi grabbed his face, and fully stabbed him in the chest, just missing the heart by an inch. "Your weapon is gone now, Sasori!" Arashi declared. "Can you seriously beat me if I can do that to you?" He hurled King Shada away, releasing the face and sliding his blade out of the chest. King Shada gasped as he rolled and got tossed and beaten by the ground. He struggled back up, his eyes glaring as they narrowed. Arashi smiled coldly for the first time in the fight, watching King Shada's reaction to his power. They were really tough, both of them, but now Arashi was clearly the tougher one.
"We'll begin now, Maldaga Sasori!" Arashi called out. His voice echoed in the clearing in which they fought, rebounding off of nothing, and simply carrying throughout the air in the large emptiness. "The real battle starts now!" King Shada was taken aback. He took a couple of steps back, his eyes wide. "The...real battle?" he repeated slowly, as if mulling over the words in a soup of his brain. "Yeah, that's right." Arashi replied. "I've been going easy on you up until now. I'm completely aware of your power now. At this point, I'm not holding back." King Shada looked very weary now. This was it. After everything, it was no longer a battle of conquering. His chances at taking out the Spirit King and whatever else had utterly dwindled. Arashi was stronger now. This was completely about survival. It was a battle to live. If King Shada lost, he would die.
He couldn't afford to think about domination or any of that other stuff. If he did, he'd just die by trying to preserve power. He'd have to find another way to get powerful at this point. Otherwise, Arashi was going to end him. He was going to have to devote every last inch of his strength to fighting Arashi. Every last reserve was going out. He was giving it all to his final moments of attack. King Shada slammed his hands together and clapped, then drew them apart, a spear made of blue flames forming in his left hand. "Interesting! I accept your challenge, Arashi!" he called back. "Let's see which of us is the stronger one, then, once and for all!" Arashi waved his blade around for just a few moments, and then at last he exhaled, ready to take out King Shada.
The gold flames that had been coating Arashi's body all this time turned white, and started pouring off of him like a waterfall. His reiatsu was still going up. It was still rising to the point at which it could no longer be sensed, and it could only be realized that it was so massive that it was like air. Just everywhere, all around. Huge, heavy, dense, powerful. And yet, unnoticeable because of that. "The Blades of Abhorrence are giving me the necessary fuel for this." Arashi said. "Their power with the power of my friends, and my Saigo No Houmen. Together, all of it is lending me absolute strength. The absolute strength that I need in order to beat you. Come on, Sasori. I'll show you my great power!" He rushed forwards, so fast that even King Shada completely lost sight of him. Arashi wasn't even a blur. He was practically invisible.
A single strike to the spear, and it snapped in half. King Shada crossed both halves in an X to block the second strike, but as soon as Arashi became visible again, it was too late. His foot was already in King Shada's face, hurling him into the air. "Time and time again you've been doing this." Arashi said. "You don't have any superiority now. I'm beating you around to prove my strength." He reached out, grabbing King Shada's leg to stop him from flying any further into the air, and then he carved down on it, severing it in a spray of blood that cut off the whole leg. Flames flowed across the leg as it was severed, up and leaping onto King Shada's body as that happened. In an instant, they all came together to not just cauterize the wound, but seal it up completely with white reiatsu. The leg would be unable to regenerate. Arashi's power was stopping something like that.
Of course, King Shada's back began to mutate again, huge wings shooting out to hold him aloft and flying. With the wings, his speed increased, and he blew towards Arashi ferociously, slashing wildly with both halves of his spear. Arashi blocked each and every single one of King Shada's hits, and then the wings grew even more. King Shada backed off with great speed, inhaling. He blew outwards, puffing out a giant surge of blue flames that hit Arashi dead on. When the flames cleared, half of Arashi's outfit was gone. This was pretty symbolic. It greatly resembled something that had happened before, though in a different way many years ago. Arashi stood there, almost as if pondering. King Shada laughed. "HOW'S THAT, ARASHI? MY POWER IS STILL GOING UP! IT'S ALREADY SURPASSING YOURS, NOW!" Arashi didn't say anything.
Arashi slowly drew each Blade of Abhorrence out of his back, blood dripping from the stab areas. He pinned each one into the ground by the tip, until all seven surrounded him. Then, he pinned his own blade into the ground to fill the last empty spot. The chain shot out, connecting all eight blades at once. They began to beat and hum and glow. Arashi stared outwards, his eyes meeting King Shada's once more. Again, this was a meeting of eyes. Confident to arrogant, cold to amused. This could well be the last time that the two of them met with the eyes. Arashi's reiatsu and flames were not vainly doing nothing. On the contrary, they were flowing about and lashing out, whipping across the land. His power was finally reaching its cap. It was something far beyond what King Shada had probably ever imagined. This was the first time, of course, that King Shada was witnessing this level.
"Shut up." Arashi repeated the same thing he'd said earlier. "I told you already. I don't care to hear what you have to say. I'm tired of your rhetoric and this pointless fighting. All of this talking is making me annoyed, and this whole fight is just making that worse. This isn't going to be like with Azeru Cho, where we had to seal and imprison him. Right here, right now, I'm going to kill you." King Shada's eyes widened at the words that Arashi spoke then. Arashi held out both of his hands, and the blades, all eight of them, began to glow. Reiatsu and flames flowed from not just Arashi, but the blades as well. He became a huge column of reiatsu, a beacon of light that shot up and high into the sky, coursing and pumping off load after load of energy. It was massive, to say the least. It was impressive, and the pressure was incredible, tremendous, enormous. King Shada was immobilized by it.
Arashi was lost in the column, and he could no longer be seen at that point. King Shada could only stare in horror as at last, Arashi's greatest power was revealed. The one that of course would end things right then and there. Here, it was time for Arashi to defeat King Shada once and for all. After all of their trials and struggles, Arashi would prevail. After facing off against Aijou to free her, after killing Ojou. After facing off against eight spirits at once and winning, after everything that he had done, and after all of those who had fought and weakened King Shada, made their sacrifices, Arashi was here at last, and ready to do it. It fell to him to defeat King Shada, for he was the great and strong hero, and the only hope. He was the only one that was truly compatible with all seven Blades of Abhorrence at once. And now, with all of this power, Arashi would annihilate it. The last vestiges of Teliki would stand no chance.
At last, the reiatsu cleared up, revealing Arashi at his finest. His clothing had become nothing more than white reiatsu which stitched together to create robes. He was wearing robes made of white reiatsu, and these flowed and danced like flames across his entire body. He even had shoes of the material. His hair had become black reiatsu, very long, several meters. It flowed in the wind, and his whole face had become covered by a white phantom mask made of reiatsu. His eyes were glowing blue. He no longer held a blade. All eight blades were visibly surrounding Arashi, floating around him and revolving around his body. His eyes were simply on the target, King Shada. This was it, the final attack. Arashi looked down at his own hand, observing his powers at their greatest. "What...is that form?! WHAT IS THAT POWER?!" King Shada demanded. "HOW CAN IT POSSIBLY BE STRONGER THAN ME?!"
"This is called Saigo No Houmen." Arashi replied. The blades of Abhorrence stabbed into his body instantly, and his reiatsu skyrocketed. Even his own zanpakuto was stabbed into him, into his torso at all angles. "A Saigo No Houmen given even greater power because of the Blades of Abhorrence. That's what this is. It's the ultimate power, something that you can't resist. When I use this, obviously I will lose my Shinigami powers. But, this new power will also immortalize me just because of the Blades of Abhorrence. My punishment for using it will be eternity of powerlessness. It's the same as what happened to Aijou for tampering with Satsujun's power. This is a whole new form no one else will ever use, devoted to killing you, Sasori. This is..." He raised his hand upwards, and the reiatsu peaked, reaching a critical point so high it was unbelievable. "Saigo No Akira!"
King Shada gasped, but could not move before the almighty pressure crushing down on him. He was immobile as Arashi's attack prepared itself. In Arashi's outstretched right hand, a blade of white flames and reiatsu materialized, rotating there for several instances as a high pitched shriek, like a trillion chirping birds, began to sound. "This is...the Final Daitenbura." Arashi clarified at last. "Okina...BAN!" He slashed downwards just once with the blade, and instantly the sky itself lit up. It was as if Heaven was visible for just a few instances, for the sky tore apart to reveal nothing but huge burning suns, thousands of them amid the white light. An enormous ocean of white flames and reiatsu erupted outwards, bigger even than the Captain Commander's Bankai. And it all converged on a single point, crashing down on King Shada with an almighty explosion. There was nothing that could possibly survive that. As the blast continued, all seven blades of abhorrence shattered, dissolving away into dust and vanishing on the wind. Even Arashi's own zanpakuto did this, leaving nothing at all. King Shada's scream could not even be heard, even if it was there. "AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
When at last the blast faded, there was only a huge crater over six miles deep. At the very bottom, that was where Arashi jumped down to, the reiatsu's last vestiges slowly leaving his body, fading away from him. At the bottom, Sasori's body was there, visible. It looked like it was fashioned from cheap glass, transparent, and cracked everywhere. Around him, three perfectly intact bodies existed. Zouma, Shauna, and Death-Sama, all three were there, intact and as they'd been before absorption. Sasori's body continued to crack, and at last shattered away completely, the shards continuing to break away until there was nothing left but dust, which blew away on the wind, every bit the same as the flames and reiatsu on Arashi, slowly drifting away from him. His hair and eyes returned to normal as the mask vanished, and all of the reiatsu disappeared to reveal his clothes.
He had a dark blue tank top and blue jeans. Arashi's hair shrunk back down, and so did his height as his tan lessened. His body was slowly returning to the way it'd been before he even trained to use Saigo No Akira in the first place. Arashi hobbled and stumbled over to the three fallen, getting on one knee. "Are you three...alright?" He asked shakily. It was really a huge upset that his reiatsu was doing this. It was draining him physically too, taxing any stamina left behind. It had truly been a difficult battle, after all. It was Zouma who opened his eyes first, and he flashed a bright smile at Arashi the moment he did so, grabbing Arashi's shirt and yanking him so that they were face to face, Zouma trying to struggle to get up. "Good job, Arashi..." Zouma whispered. "You...did well...to defeat King Shada. Aijou will be proud of you."
As Shauna and Death-Sama awoke, and as the three former captives managed to stand, it was Arashi who lost his footing in turn. He'd exhausted himself, and been drained of his powers. Even at that moment, they were ebbing away. It wouldn't be more than a few days before he could no longer see any of these people, or even random spirits. A hand reached out, placing itself on Zouma's shoulder as he prepared to lift Arashi. Kisuke was there. He'd stayed behind for something like this. "I'll get this." he said. "All four of you could use some sleep, I imagine. I'll take us back to Karakura Town." He looked upwards towards the sky, his gaze one of a man lost in wonder and thought. The clouds were drifting ever so peacefully through the blue sky. In the sky, it was as if there had never been a battle in the first place.
Everything was blackness before Arashi's eyes at last fluttered open, revealing to his eyes a white ceiling with a ceiling fan and a shut off light. Near the bed in which he lay, the blinds were wide open, revealing a window through which sunlight blasted in, illuminating the room. He couldn't sit up just yet, but he could turn his head and he could speak. And it was evident that others were in the room. Arashi turned his gaze to observe those others. Zouma, Shauna, Kisuke, and even Death-Sama were all there. However, besides him, there were a few Shinigami as well. Kurosaki Juuken and Kyousou Ningen were present, as was Dr. Griswald P. Lorilad. The people present were watching Arashi. Aijou was on the other side of the bed, her hand on his. She'd regained color, and was no longer so deathly pale. She had a similar skin tone to Arashi now.
"How long...have I been out...?" Arashi asked in a daze. "Around a month." Lorilad replied. "It took quite a bit of treatment to bring you back to normal health after what you did. Thank you." Arashi finally managed to sit up, his eyes a bit sad, after all. "My powers are going to leave me, aren't they?" He asked. "Pretty soon I won't be able to see half of you." Kurosaki put his hand on Arashi's head, reassuring him in that odd way. "You did good, kid. We'll remember you even when you lose track of us." He turned his back on Arashi after that, obviously unsure of what to say afterwards. The Captain Commander spoke then in that moment. "It has been an honor to fight alongside you, Arashi Manako. As long as you can still see us, in thanks, I will grant you any one favor that you desire." Arashi smiled, looking down at his hands. He spoke at last.
"The remnants of my Zanpakuto. Saigo No Houmen should have left at least a little something. I'd like that as a memento." The Captain Commander nodded, reaching into his robes, and pulled out an ordinary white katana hilt with light brown cloth wrapped around it. Even the guard of it was no longer present. It was just a hilt. It had a small trailing ribbon of cloth hanging down at the bottom. Arashi took it from him, clutching it as he looked down at it. "It's not too bad, you know, Arashi." Kisuke said. "Your friends are waiting around outside for you once we've left. You can still see them. And, you can still see myself, Shauna, Zouma, and even Death here. We use physical human type bodies." Arashi smiled, looking down at that hilt. "I guess I've always wanted a pretty peaceful life like this, now that I think about it." he said at last.
Arashi jerked suddenly, his body shaking with spasms a few moments. Then, he went still, and smiled. "There it is. My reiatsu and shinigami powers are just about to leave me." To Arashi's point of view, the Shinigami in the room were already starting to lose their form. They were vanishing slowly, very slowly. "I'm glad I got to help you guys out again, old man." Arashi said to the Captain Commander. He looked at Kurosaki. "I hope you find closure for your dad." he said. He looked at Lorilad. "I hope you continue to be a Captain for a while. You're good at what you do." Kisuke, Zouma, Shauna, and Death slowly walked out, clearing out of the room too. It was clear that Arashi wanted to be alone for a bit with his sister. "Thanks, guys." he said, lowering his gaze as the four left the room, and as the three vanished from sight completely. He could no longer see them at that point. A single moment passed. "Are you alright, Arashi-Nii?" Aijou asked. Arashi looked over to her. "Let's go out for a walk, Aijou." he said. "I want to stretch my legs." He took her hand, swinging out of bed as he slammed the hilt down onto his desk nearby. Taking her by the hand, he led her out of the door, smiling that he had his sister back. Together, the two of them walked out into the streets, off to the next adventure.
I hope that you guys have enjoyed this whole little adventure with Bleach: Online World's Arc 2 Plotline: The Vizard Invasion. I hope you guys came to fall in love with a few of the characters, and ended up hating a few of the others. After over a year, I'm glad we're still alive and kicking it stronger than ever. I'm glad our plotline managed to be so much fun to play through. This is the part where I also thank staff, though unfortunately I'm the one that's been running the full show the whole time. Kento and Rin just became staff, so it's really not like they did anything yet that I can thank them for in here. However, thank you to Kone, who is the oldest remaining staff member, and who diligently worked on a Vizard character, and who has been the one making the backups for everyone so well. I'm really glad that this all went so well.
I hope you guys will look forwards to future plots in Bleach: Online World, and that this will always be your #1 Choice for a Bleach Roleplay Forum.
Let's look forward to the next Arc then, shall we?
