"I'm sure you three knew that this was coming." Maldaga Sasori's voice declared, echoing throughout the now empty sky. Around the area, battles were over and done with. While there were still a few new battles required, a few skirmishes going on here and there, the vast majority of what was happening was right there, in that moment of time. Suspended in air as if on crucifixes, Zouma, Shauna, Death-Sama. They were there, suspended, and utterly helpless in that moment. Maldaga Sasori wore only black jeans, and his shirt was gone. Scars and injuries and burns were all over, blood was smeared on his face. His eyes were crazed. In fact, one of them was now missing. His lid was closed, for his hollow eye had successfully been gouged out. Sasori smiled coldly nonetheless. His zanpakuto was visible behind him, smashed into pieces.
And yet, he held there a perfectly fresh and working zanpakuto, the blade known simply as Teliki. It had been unable to resist its master now, for his darkness, that in his heart, had consumed it entirely. Blood was running down his cheeks too, as if he cried blood. He had no pupils, and his iris were also rather fuzzy looking. He was blind. Somehow, he managed to sense the three here. Zouma, his bare torso also exposed, was suspended on the left. His black leather pants were on his body, and that was it. He was also barefoot. Burns and slashes were visible on him. Flames and electricity had greatly weakened him. He'd been in battle against Kurosaki Juuken, who had wanted revenge for Old Lightning. This was how Zouma had been weakened enough to be captured by Kaishi and Isare, who had brought him here. On the right, stripped down to bra and white jeans, Shauna Melody had her head lowered. Unlike Zouma, she was unconscious.
She had been defeated by Sasori and his masterful use of Teliki's power to temporarily turn imagination to reality. Death-Sama had lost to that same ability, though it had also been a hostage situation with Shauna. His head was also up, and he was coldly expressionless. His torso was also bare, and he wore blue jeans. Sasori smiled at them all, the three that he had managed to catch. "For the ultimate power, I need the three of you. You are my puzzle pieces." Sasori began. He pointed first at Shauna. "Shauna Melody, with infinite reiatsu and boundless reiatsu strength." His index finger on the left hand moved to point at Death-Sama. "Death, with the most powerful physical body." He then pointed lastly to Zouma. "Zouma Santeku, with the most powerful singular attack, Tenkai." Sasori laughed, raising his arms high into the air. "AND ALL THREE OF YOU WILL BECOME A PART OF MY POWER! I WILL CONSUME ALL OF YOU AND BECOME GOD! A FORCE EVEN BEYOND THE SPIRIT KING, THAT'S WHAT I WILL BE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Stop playing music.
Sasori abruptly stopped laughing, and his smile turned to a frown. "So then, let's begin." he said at last. And that was when he raised Teliki into the air. It glowed brightly and with an evil, malicious purple aura. Reiatsu flew out of it. With that, the ritual began.
Reiatsu exploded around Sasori's body at last, enveloping him as it also rushed out and grabbed a hold of the three. Zouma gasped, his eyes lighting up in glow and widening. He looked down, his skin beginning to blacken and dissolve away. Zouma started to scream. He cried out in agony. Instantly, Shauna's eyes also flew open as her skin started doing the same. Her cries could be heard in deafening all around. Death-Sama made not a single sound, but simply closed his eyes in knowing acceptance. All three dissolved away, revealing orbs of reiatsu where they had been only moments before. Zouma's was red, Shauna's was turquoise, Death-Sama's was purple. Their reiatsu vanished, consumed by Sasori's Teliki. Teliki started cracking more and more, doing so everywhere. This was the final wish. The permanent one.
"GIVE ME...ULTIMATE POWER...!" Sasori declared in triumph. Teliki shattered in that moment, the Blade of Imagination turning to nothingness almost instantly. It was gone just like that, and Sasori's body began to change. Muscles grew out on him. They solidified, becoming rock hard muscles, becoming devastating muscles. His body began contorting and elongating in addition to becoming buff. He grew, stretching out until he was a full ten feet tall. Despite his muscularity, his hands turned white, as did his skin. His hands also became thin, almost skeletal. The flesh on them was decayed and evil. His eyes glowed red as white ooze covered his face except for the eyes. It became like a plaster on him, and his hair burned away, vanishing to be consumed by the ooze. A golden crown formed on his head, and gold plate armor, a cuirass, formed across his torso. Purple robes formed over that as well.
The fur robes fit him nicely, and his new form was joined by black boots and gray pants. Ice started materializing everywhere all around him, surrounding King Shada. For there truly was no more Maldaga Sasori now. Now, only King Shada remained. King Shada looked around, laughter booming from where he stood. Intense, all-consuming laughter. That was him. Simply a mass of shaking and contorting and laughing all around. King Shada would not let up with this laughter of his. And soon, it became clear that his reiatsu had gone off the charts. His physical stats were on par with Death-Sama's. His reiatsu strength and spiritual pressure were on par with Shauna's. Across his hands, blue reiatsu was moving around. A quick flick of his hand, and a mile in total of blue flames materialized, a huge blast that left only steam across the air. King Shada...had arrived!
And suddenly, a huge blast of black reiatsu, a giant dome of a mile in total, formed around King Shada. As it faded, revealing steam and an unharmed King Shada, a new figure became obvious. Fully hollowfied, eyes glowing, blade held in his hand, Arashi Manako had at last arrived. "I didn't make it on time." Arashi said. King Shada said nothing at all, merely cocking his head to one side. "But make no mistake, Sasori. You're no Azeru Cho." Black orbs formed surrounding Arashi, twelve of them. "La Muerte Docena De Lanza Combinación." A giant explosion, over a hundred giant sky scraper sized serpents of black reiatsu, all of this converging on King Shada, launched by Arashi. It struck out, and reiatsu and energy danced around everywhere. It blew up, it created smoke and ash in the air, it did everything possibly damaging.
It was like a teacher punishing a student, cracking back down on the foolish child who had dared to make a fool of the teacher. Cracking across like the meter stick that once struck the hands of children, this attack got to King Shada on a level to which no other attack presently known could. And yet, despite this, a blue detonation of flames rushed out, and blasted aside all of the blackness. King Shada was revealed to be unharmed yet again, and Arashi's eyes widened in gasp. King Shada flew straight into him, punching at him. Arashi tried to get away, but suddenly hundreds of King Shada were there at once, and Arashi was instantly smashed, his hollowfication shattering to reveal his normal body, and his normal body flying across the air, barely managing to stop and skid, blood blasting out of his skin and mouth and ears all at once. It even dripped from his eyes like tears. He was panting already.
"I went easy on you. That wasn't even 3% of my physical strength." King Shada said. Arashi was on all fours already, panting. As it turned out, he really was no match for King Shada. "It's hopeless, Arashi. I'm sure that that's how it feels to you too. I already got the power of the biggest three. You can't compete with me. I'm on an entirely different level from you." Arashi coughed again, but looked up. "Remember...when we first met...?" he asked. "I was the one that tested you for the Vizards...And though I beat you at that time...you told me something..." Arashi stood up, getting back on both feet, and holding out a blade with half the blade missing, pointing it at King Shada. "Defeat doesn't matter if you're with your friends afterwards. Victory is only worth it if you have someone to celebrate it with. And...when you have someone to protect that moment with, and to go back to afterwards...there doesn't need to be hope. You just have to win despite that."
'YEAH, I SAID THAT! IT WAS ALL A LIE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ONLY POWER MATTERS, YOU KNOW! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" King Shada declared boldly. He rushed after Arashi, punching forwards. Arashi side stepped, just managing to dodge it, but suddenly there was a second King SHada behind him, and bone shattering sounds were heard as Arashi crashed into the ground, blood flying out of a huge slash wound. He coughed, trying to get up. King Shada flew back down, landing next to him. "I told you, I'm fighting at under 3% power. What good are you against me now?" Arashi rolled over to attempt to get away, but King Shada grabbed him and picked him up by the neck. He held loosely. "This is difficult, you know." he said. "Holding you like this without crushing you accidentally, that is." He hurled Arashi through a building, and Arashi crashed through it.
He was blasted through like nothing at all, and came out rolling on the ground, blood spattering everywhere. He probably couldn't even think straight. King Shada was there next instant, blue flames forming a huge sword on his fingertips. He slashed down, and Arashi only barely managed to block using his broken zanpakuto. Nonetheless, the power behind the slash was enough to completely shatter the bones in one of his arms, and force him to his knees as the ground shook, and a huge crater emerged. "Even at this level of power, I am capable of obliterating the landscape. Tell me, Arashi. Did Azeru Cho even minorly compare to my power?" Arashi didn't respond, and simply stood back up and began slashing. Amused, King Shada continued to block all of Arashi's slashes. The slashing really wasn't getting Arashi anywhere. How could it? He was at that much of a disadvantage of power.
"Consider this...VICTORY!!!!!!" King Shada screamed. He smashed his elbow down on the ground instead of Arashi. And yet, shockwaves crashed down along with the air, smashing down so hard on Arashi that he was blasted into the ground and created a crater in his imprint. His image was there, and his face was against the ground. Blood was everywhere surrounding him. King Shada was laughing. He looked towards the sky. "TELL ME, IS THIS YOUR HERO, SOUL SOCIETY?! IS THIS REALLY ALL THAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER ME?! CAN YOUR POWER EVEN REMOTELY COMPARE TO MINE?! IS THERE ANYTHING OR ANYONE THAT CAN HELP YOU NOW?! CAN EVEN THE SPIRIT KING DO IT?!" Arashi grabbed King Shada's ankle. "I...I can..." he whispered. King Shada laughed a merry and evil laugh. His laugh was one of the throat.
"OF COURSE YOU CAN! YOU'RE THE HERO, RIGHT?!" He pulled Arashi off the ground, helping him onto his feet. King Shada spread his arms wide, revealing his chest. "Then hit me! Hit me with everything you've got, Arashi! I'm waiting. I'm dying to see you try it! SO THEN DO IT! HIT ME!" Arashi shoved his blade forwards with a mighty scream, and it plunged against King Shada's chest. It shattered there, leaving only the hilt left. At the same time, cuts and slashes formed all over Arashi's body, and blood exploded out. He was probably running out of blood just about then. He fell back to the ground, basically defeated. King Shada laughed again. "This is...THE REQUIEM! FINALLY, AFTER YEARS OF PLANNING, I HAVE ATTAINED A GOD-HOOD! HAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NO ONE CAN STOP ME! NO ONE!!!!!"
Suddenly, everything went silent. Dozens of hell butterflies started flying around, and white flower petals fell from the sky, floating around in the air. "What is this...?" King Shada asked. This of course was when a new voice spoke. It was a cold voice, an ominous voice. And it was filled with power. And it filled the air as well, more so than the butterflies and petals. It was as if nothing else existed in the world when this voice spoke, this was how demanding and powerful it was. This was its commanding aura. "It was a good thing that a part of me was put in this boy." it said. King Shada looked around in confusion. Pressure began beating down on King Shada, crushing down on his body. He gasped in shock. He probably hadn't expected a gravitational pressure that could affect him so. "WHERE ARE YOU?!" he demanded, screaming. "AND WHO ARE YOU?!"
Arashi's body rose up, suspended by an invisible force. His body was wounded, and yet it looked possessed and lively. His eyes were all that had changed, though. They were solid black in the cornea. The iris were glowing crimson red. The pupils remained black. Green pentagrams were visible in the dead center of the pupils. The eyes were layers of menacing. Arashi's mouth was moving to speak. "What would that good-for-nothing father of mine do if a weakling such as yourself challenged him? Hahaha. I can scarcely imagine the thought." King Shada punched towards Arashi with a roar, and blue flames shot out in a huge burst. But, they dissipated as soon as they neared Arashi, and Arashi's palm moved up, catching the punch like it was nothing. All the force behind it dissipated. "That one was stronger than the others. Was that 100% then, Maldaga Sasori?"
"I AM KING SHADA!" King Shada screamed. Arashi's mouth contorted, and laughter filled the air. "Of course you are." Reiatsu began surrounding Arashi's body, building around it. He grew taller by a few inches, becoming 6'3 in total height. Then, black leather pants formed on him, along with black boots. A long, hanging down black leather coat was there. His hair became medium length, black, unruly, and his skin turned deathly pale. His lips were softly icy, his skin tone that of death. His body was unmarked by any injuries. "Who...are you...?!" King Shada repeated for the third time. The newcomer smiled a familiar smile. "They call me Husk." he said. "Though I am otherwise known as Roshu Kensai. Second Captain Commander of the Gotei Thirteen, imprisoned for 33,000 years. I was defeated around 40-odd years ago while I was at 1% power. Now, I have returned to 40%, though only temporarily. I am dead, you see. This boy's vessel supports the last ebbs of my consciousness. World domination won't be necessary anymore. Stretching my power out against you will suffice."
"That...can't be..." King Shada whispered in horror. The newcomer laughed and smiled. He then took a dead serious tone of voice, and black flames exploded across his hand, revealing a blade. It wasn't a zanpakuto, it was simply a guardless katana, one handed. "Yes, I am Satsujun." the newcomer introduced. "Though, I'm sure you'd have been able to come to that conclusion momentarily anyway." King Shada took a step back. "What...do you mean...?" he asked wearily. Satsujun smiled and laughed again. He looked down at his left hand, examining it for a few instances of curiosity. It had been 40 years since he'd been alive and witnessed himself in the flesh, after all. And before that time, he'd been in a decayed and rotten body, imprisoned for 33,000 years. This wasn't half bad as a turn of events. "This is what I mean." he said.
Suddenly, his hand was on King Shada's face, and the two were ten thousand feet up in the air. They were at airplane level in half a second. King Shada gasped, but not in time. Satsujun's hand was already off of him, and a huge black aura had come across King Shada in the form of tentacles, wrapping around him. King Shada screamed as a violent explosion detonated. "W...wha-" he tried, but Satsujun cut him off. "I released some of your own power from your body and detonated it. I believe on top of injuring you, I've made you weaker." King Shada indeed had shrunk about an inch, and he had burns on his body now. He rushed at Satsujun, punching forwards to create another blast of blue flames, but Satsujun grabbed King Shada's wrist at the same time. The flames dissipated, and Satsujun slashed deeply across King Shada's chest, drawing gold blood out in a spray.
And next instant, Satsujun looked King Shada in the eye. King Shada screamed as an illusion captured him. It was as if he was at the dead bottom of the ocean, a pitch blackness surrounding him underwater in icy cold water. His body suddenly imploded from the pressure. Then, the illusion restarted. This repeated ten thousand times in mere seconds, before at last the illusion ended, and Satsujun was behind King Shada already. His fingers were dancing and weaving throughout the air, and next instant there were millions of him in the sky alone, grouped together and weaving their fingers. And then, there was only one of him, and King Shada's body was hit by a devastating explosion of black flames. "Surely you were joking around with me." Satsujun said. "You planned to challenge my father at that level? I'm not even at half of my power, and you're already out of breath at your best. My father is even stronger than my 100%. His Royal Guard by itself could take you out."
A huge explosion occurred again, and King Shada was hurled back down into the ground, creating a high mountain in the landscape just from the raw impact. Next moment, Satsujun was back down there, smashing his knee down on King Shada. Gold blood flew out, and King Shada cried out in agony, screaming as yet another explosion ripped across the playing field, black flames billowing out and then fading, revealing mountains taller than Everest having formed just from blows from Satsujun. "Ridiculous. I'm already bored of you." Satsujun said. "I thought someone stronger would arrive and draw me out of that boy. I guess I was wrong. Good villains are hard to come across these days. You're pathetic. How disappointing. What was your motive again? Oh, yes. You were mad at the world because you were born as a hideous freak. Boo hoo. Cry for me as I finish you off." Satsujun raised his blade, cutting it down to finish the battle.
"Damn. Out of time." Satsujun said in mid stroke. Instantly, he turned to black reiatsu, flying off of Arashi to leave normal Arashi in the process of swinging down on King Shada. King Shada saw this, and Arashi's (now fixed) zanpakuto, which was what the katana had been, now impacted King Shada's neck. It cracked and snapped again, and more cuts formed across Arashi. King Shada rolled away, blasting Arashi off with a backhand. Arashi flew across the air, hitting the ground and bouncing on the ground as he spun and tossed. "My...power..." King Shada murmured. "It's...gotten weaker." Satsujun had drained him greatly. However, he took a cocky look back in his eyes. "No matter. I can still destroy everyone." He looked at Arashi, seeing that that guy was already in deep injury anyway. There was no way that Arashi would be coming back from that any time soon.
Arashi rolled around on the ground, coughing profusely. Blood shot out of his mouth, and he threw up some more of it too. His body was beaten, broken, and utterly destroyed. He'd taken quite a severe beating. King Shada simply walked away, disappearing. Arashi held out his hand, trying to choke out the words to tell King Shada to wait. It was to no avail, of course. Though, in that moment, a hand clasped Arashi's wrist. He looked up, seeing...the man that had first helped him. Urahara Kisuke, otherwise known as Mr. Hat & Clogs. "Are you alright, Arashi?" he asked. He helped Arashi up, letting him stay against his shoulder. He wrapped Arashi's arm around him, and carried him to that upright position. Arashi, nothing more than a man broken to the last whim, could do and say nothing. He simply nodded while he tried to clear the putrid bile and blood from his throat.
"It looks bad, I know." Kisuke admitted. "But we have to persevere and win this." Arashi glanced at Kisuke, their eyes meeting. Hopelessness with calm. "We...can't..." Arashi whispered. "This guy is...different from Azeru Cho..." Kisuke sighed and nodded. Arashi began to speak with more depth and clarity from that moment onwards. "Look, Urahara-San...I said the same thing about Azeru Cho...that we couldn't win. But this time, it's a whole other story. This guy is beyond us. We should just give up." Kisuke leaned Arashi against a wall then, and sat cross legged next to him. "Indeed, it took three of us to beat Azeru Cho, and Captain Commander Aryuusai died then. But this is different, Arashi. You're right that it isn't like Azeru Cho. In this case, no one has to die. Almost all of the Captains died last time. This time, we don't need that kind of tragedy."
"WHY DON'T YOU GET IT?!" Arashi cried out. "I CAN'T BEAT HIM! NONE OF US CAN! LEAST OF ALL ME! I COULDN'T EVEN SAVE AIJOU! I COULDN'T EVEN GET THERE ON TIME TO SAVE ZOUMA, TO SAVE DEATH, TO SAVE SHAUNA!" Kisuke listened patiently, and then he spoke once more. "All hope isn't lost, Arashi." Arashi slapped outwards, missing Kisuke, but obviously trying to get him to get away. "NO! IT'S FINISHED! WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GIVE UP! HE'S GOING TO KILL EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT'S LEFT!" Kisuke exhaled, once again patiently. It seemed that he knew how to deal with this situation. Arashi had truly been beaten and broken not just physically, but spiritually as well. His once proud confidence was now brittle and shattered. Despite the strength he had displayed, it wasn't enough now, it seemed.
"Don't you get it, Arashi?! There's still a way to win! Didn't you pay attention to the data gathered by the Gotei Thirteen? Why do you think we've been gathering the Blades of Abhorrence? The seven of them along with Ryuujin Jakka have the power to win this. Altogether, these powers will defeat King Shada." Arashi looked up. He chuckled with an amused tone in his laugh, but disbelieving as well. "And how the hell do you expect me to use any of that crap?" he asked. Kisuke stood up, yanking Arashi (painfully) to his feet. "Arashi...there's still the technique your father wanted you to know about before his passing." Arashi looked at Kisuke, uncertain of what the man was talking about. Clearly, he may not even have wanted to know. At that point, it was all gibberish to him, of course until Kisuke spoke and explained. "Saigo No Houmen."
Arashi's eyes widened. "Even now, healers are all over the battlefield. Those downed are healing. Aijou is being saved. Zouma, Shauna, and Death will return once King Shada has been defeated. Don't...underestimate our chances, Arashi. There's a powerful hope for us." Arashi, still somehow able to stand, allowed Kisuke to help him balance up once again. They began moving, for Kisuke had somewhere to take Arashi. "This...will only take an hour, Arashi. And, it will hurt more than anything you've ever experienced. Please, bare with it. We need you to be our savior." Arashi nodded, closing his eyes as he let Kisuke lead him away. They were going off. Going off into something that would definitely leave all speechless. The finale of this fight was coming soon, after all. It was evident that things would not be the same at the end of it all.
