Appearance: Sai is a bit on the odd side to say the least. One day he might be wearing a dress suit with a top hat, the next khaki shorts and a shirt with holes in it. Then the next wearing traditional ceremonial monk robes. He isn't built in an extreme way, not muscular, but he isn't a toothpick. He would seem to be active though, as he isn't toned but built. His skin is slightly tanned as if a few days ago he was in the sun. He has dark purple hair with violet highlights. His eyes a soft yellow color with a hint of orange on the outside. He could be considered gorgeous and quite the ladies’ man if it weren't for his attitude.
Personality: Sai's attitude is a little on the on ball side. He can be quite attentive at times, then just cruel, almost as if his personality is faked, which it actually is. When alive he belonged to a noble family and he was pretty much brainwashed into being distant. But he loves to go out and do things, and gather around with friends, he isn't sure how to act on most circumstances. He loves to joke, and seems to never be serious when out and about. Though this makes him amazing in general combat. Always cool and collective when needed, and can be quite deceptive with his emotions shown to the enemy.
Powers:
Shikai: "Doppelganger Release"
This zanpakutou was considered to be one of the weakest in existence. The time it takes isn't useful in a dueling type atmosphere so he was never able to fully release his ability. And against hollows, it had very little use, other then identifying their abilities. So Sai wasn’t considered useful in most combat situations. So Sai was never placed into any of the Gotei Thirteen Squads. They considered him useless in most combat situations. But he was highly trained in general combat and multiple weapon types. And kept on in a secret squad to deal with rogue shinigami and the similar.
"Disseminate": This is Sai's first stage of his shikai. He says this immediately after releasing his shikai and the sword seems to turn into dust that circles him 5 times then spreads. This attack takes about 8 seconds to do it's job which is to spread onto the enemy within 10 meters. Can take 20 seconds and spread 20 meters. Can take 40 seconds and spread 30 meters. Can 100 seconds and spread 40 meters. Can take 240 seconds and spread 50 meters. Only Sai or an individual with an extremely high amount of sensory can see the particles. "Extract": When Sai sees that he has achieved what is needed, he says this word and the particles will pull the needed information from the enemy. This extracts all information about the enemy; stats, weapon abilities, and other special abilities. This process takes 5 seconds.
"Replicate": This is the final phrase he utters. After the particles have gained the needed information, sai can now reach the full abilities of his zanpakutou. In his hands, a replicated or combination form of anyone that has his swords particles on them will weapon will form in his hands. This sword has the same abilities as all that were copied. Minus bankai.
"Tracking": this is a passive effect caused by his use of his Shikai. As the particles bind upon the object, and extract technique is used, they release a type of energy that can be sensed by Sai easily. This is also what allows higher sensing individuals to sense his power having been used on themselves or others.
Bankai: Doppelganger Effect
Sai’s bankai is much different compared to others in a general sense. Where others can instantly enter bankai, Sai must use his shikai first for it to be useful. Again, causing his sword to be thought of as useless by most.
Only one of his abilities can be active at any time.
"Full Replication": Considered to be Sai’s strongest ability. He is able to copy the enemy fully, bankai and all. He gains all the increases or abilities of the enemy(ies) sword.
"Shadow Copy": Not as strong an ability as full replication, but it has it’s merits in combat. A good portion of the particles that were on the enemy fly off and become visable. They come together and form a darkened replica of the enemy they were on. This shadow has the same stats and combat abilities as the them. But are able to be destroyed with a single hit.
Mask: His mask is faceless blank white. Nothing identifying about it to tell the truth. What is even more disturbing is it has no eye holes or a place for him to speak. The mask removes his sight, and enhances his other senses. Along with sensory increases, he can remove the effects of spiritual pressure.

History:
Sai wasn’t considered a useful shinigami, mostly doing the crap work that was needed. He did receive extensive training in combat, but it was mostly used as a training tool for shinigami hopefuls in the academy.
He was treated as dirt by most of the Gotei Thirteen and seen as a traitor in the general sense. Besides having to fight his own kind when needed, he would also have to break up parities and the such for whatever reasons.
All this left Sai with a low view of shinigami’s so he wanted to find a better opportunity and more power. This lead him to become a vizard, and now a true use of his zanpakutou.
Kidou
Agility (歩法, hohō; Viz "Fast Movement"; lit. step method) is an important skill for most Shinigami, and is very similar to the Sonído used by Arrancar. Though never stated clearly it most likely relates to the Shinigami ability to walk on air using spiritual power. By collecting and solidifying Reishi beneath their feet, Shinigami can gain traction on thin air to either freely move about or to stop themselves from falling.[1]
Shunpo (瞬歩, Flash steps), a movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the bases of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move; those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower, which requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become winded far easier in a shorter amount of time.
