Well, there was no use in holding back now. These fights actually meant something, unlike everything else Andrea had done up until this point. Today was no different then others in how he dressed through. He wore the black Shinigami garb, the white cape, and the mask fragment on his forehead. Actually, that was new. The whole bone on the head part was actually slightly annoying, it made blending into anything impossible. But today there was no need. He was going to go at it with everything.
He had arrived in the location specified via Garganta. It ripped open the sky in some overpopulated rain forest. An amusing location at least. He was still unsure as to who his opponent was though, so instead of taking action he simply positioned himself against one of the many trees that were scattered around and waited. Hopefully not too long.

Amare walked through the rainforest. Fighting. What a barbaric idea. I mean, sure. He got into streetfights all the time, but it didn't make it any less barbaric. But no. He wasn't fighting today! He was..... he was slaying! Yes. That's right! A much more elegant word. A nice clean kill. No blood splattering. And with these new powers he was certain he could do it, too! Oh, how unfortunate for his foe that he'd meet an untimely end so soon!
Amare pulled on his combat gloves. A pair of silk gloves red in color. They used to be white, though. A testament to the brawls Amare had fought in. Now, he'd have to be careful. This foe could lurk around any corner. He knew it. A rainforest was an ideal place to ambush someone in... oh boy. His mind was starting to over-analyze things. He began to take in his surroundings, thinking of the potential combat application. The ground was softer. Hmmm.... easy to kick up and blind someone. The trees and bushes could act as cover very easily, but also could be used to provide a vantage point and attack from all angles.
Oh! What was that? A massive hole in the sky? Amare managed to detect someone inside as well. That must be his opponent. Amare tightened his scarf around his neck and began to quicken his pace. Ambushing was barbaric too. Why couldn't they meet and duel like civilized gentlemen? Ah! Duel! Yes, that's what this was! A civilized duel. In a rainforest. Sure. Let's go with that.
Amare raised a hand in greeting to the arrancar as he came into sight. Amare was in his fighting outfit. A sleeveless vest fitted over a white shirt. Was it long sleeved? Short sleeved? Who knew, he'd torn off the sleeves. He wore black leather pants and a gray scarf wrapped around his neck. He was also wearing the aforementioned gloves. "Good morning!" He said to the arrancar cheerfully. "It seems we're to be fighti-- no. My apologies. We're to be dueling! I hope you're prepared." He told the arrancar as he lifted his hands into a boxing stance.

Andrea admired the Human. He had to be human, he was obviously not Shinigami and his aura was too weak to be anything other then a Human World Resident. Bount perhaps? Or.. Fullbringer. That was always the issue with humans, they didn't have mask fragment or required uniforms so telling them apart by type was annoying. None the less, he would find out soon enough. "Good morning!" At that Andrea simply waved his hand lazily, he only wanted to commence with the fight. Andrea moved away from the tree and took a step towards the human.
"It seems we're to be fighti-- no. My apologies. We're to be dueling! I hope you're prepared." At that Andrea smiled. Actually, it was more a smirk then a friendly smile. Was he prepared? What a question... obviously he was ready. "Yare yare... as ready as I'll ever be I suppose." He replied in a chilling voice, his aura and everything about him worked with his voice to represent his evil nature. Though Andrea wasn't hasty, ever. He usually waited for his opponent to make the first move, today was no different, Andrea would attack first only if he was pressed to.

Amare smiled at his opponent's confirmational response. "Well, then I suppose we'd best begin! Neither of us is getting any younger!" He replied and his eyes suddenly became quite serious. The pleasantries had been exchanged, and now there was a match to finish. They could now duel as proper gentlemen. His instincts tingled from the implied threat. Ah well. He'd deal. It seemed his opponent wanted him to take the first move! Very well then, he would fulfill that request!
Amare began a casual movement towards Andrea, his boxing footwork keeping him nice and quick. Not quite yet.... not quite yet....[/i] Then he was at his range. His hand instinctively shot out like a bullet at Andrea's face, followed immediately by a quick step-in. Amare attempted to use this to get to Andrea's side, trying to circle the arrancar sideways while firing three more jabs towards the side of his head, namely the temple. These were preliminary attacks. Amare didn't want to dive in headfirst against an opponent he knew nothing about. The jabs were to test Andrea. To see what he was capable of. And if he happened to be taken down by them, well.... Amare (and I) would be extremely surprised, but hey, he certainly wouldn't complain.
As he finished his lightning quick jabs, Amare stepped back out of the way, anticipating a counterattack, that would likely come after an attack like his. His hands were still up to defend himself, just in case, and he hadn't missed Andrea's sword. That would be a dangerous weapon to have to deal with, if indeed he did have to deal with it. His fists wouldn't be a match for that, even with his training in Judo and Krav Maga. Fortunately, he had his own answer to a blade if it came to that!

Andrea watched as his opponent drew near. He was obviously taking this lightly as well, or he was just weak. Either way he would match the human with only using his fists. He had no intention of waiting for the man to close in on him. Instead Andrea was going to attack. His speed was top notch while his senses and instincts were both pretty good as well. With the fist punch that the human threw, Andrea was gone. An instant Sonido. It threw him several feet to the side until he was directly behind Amare. The movement was fast, nearly undetectable since the Sonido was mastered and took no real concentration.
When Andrea appeared again he was jabbing his hand forward, into the back of Amare. But, his hand wasn't empty. In it was a bala, Andrea's strength alone wasn't amazing but with the bala to assist in the attack it would no doubt tear through Amare's back, unless he had some way to overcome the initial Sonido and stop his jabs midway through. The Sonido may have been fast, but with Amare's own senses it was far from undetectable. At his level of senses, he could make out the sound of Andrea's feet touching the ground behind him. Amare instinctively turned the instant he heard this, whirling to defend himself. He saw the jabbing blow. Although he didn't notice the bala, he did what anyone with martial arts training would do if they were in this situation.
Amare's arm came across and deflected Andrea's arm, which would cause the Bala to miss it's target. But he wasn't done. Amare stepped in close with a sudden change of style. He had switched to Judo. As he deflected Andrea's arm, he turned his hand to grab the Espada's sleeve, in a grip that wouldn't be easily broken. His other arm shot up underneath the arm to straighten it. Was this an armbar? Unfortunately for Andrea, if that's what he thought, he'd be mistaken. It was a throw. Seionage to be precise.
Amare spun into Andrea, lowering his hips below Andrea's and using the leverage on Andrea's arm to throw the Espada over his shoulder to slam him against the ground! Each part was done quite quickly too. Grabbing the sleeve was a subtle but quick movement and the rest had likewise been quite fluid. At this short range, preventing the technique would be quite a task. Though, Andrea also had Hierro so although the move might shake him a bit, it was unlikely to cause lasting injury.

Andrea was surprised that the human could move with such precision and speed. He was good, Andrea gave him that. But still, to face an Espada as a human? What a foolish idea. Andrea's senses were also able to catch on the moment Amare stopped his first attack, even before he turned Andrea had prepared the second attack. The first hand was direct near the humans shoulder, and would be deflected. However, Andrea's second hand was coming in lower, with yet another bala within, near the stomach. The moment Amare threw the first strike off, the second would land, rupturing into his stomach. And so long as Amare had a hold of Andrea with both hands, there was little he could do to stop it. The blow would have worked, except for two things. The most notable being that Amare noticed the blow coming. The second point, being the turn Amare used. He altered the turn to enable him to avoid the blow by a hair, turning out of its path. Well. Not quite. The turn didn't give him quite enough movement to turn away. He also had to alter his footwork, pulling out of the way. Even so, Andrea's blow tore through the front of his shirt, leaving an ugly bruise across Amare's abdominals from the near, near miss.
Because of how much he'd altered the turn as well, the throw lost much of its power, and Amare would at best, be able to push the Espada over his outstretched leg to offbalance him. Amare was forced to let go, however, as he glanced at his abdominals, noticing the bruise. "How unfortunate. Now how will my true love ever love me back with a mark like this!?" He commented unhappily. Normally duels were fought to first blood. But this one would surely end in death or defeat. A little cut wasn't something to quit over, regardless of how much Amare was disgusted by it. However, he acknowledged that this man was very good. He'd anticipated his Seionage attempt and forced Amare to abandon it. He needed something now to turn the tables.
Amare grabbed his scarf and removed it from his neck. He'd have to take the offensive here, or he'd be beaten. This man's blows were very dangerous. Amare needed something to counter them. And fortunately for Amare, he had such a weapon! "Well, let's give it a shot then! Gae Bulg!" The scarf suddenly stretched and extended, winding itself together rapidly and binding itself tightly together. The color began to change, subtly but certainly, in a very short period of time, to a jet black shaft. Wait... shaft? Yep. The scarf had changed its composition completely as it became Amare's fullbring.
A little over five feet in length, Amare's scarf had turned into a shortspear. Two deadly pointed heads sat at either end, a main point and a smaller lizard sticker on the butt. Amare shifted his fighting stance so that the spear pointed at Andrea, held in both hands. "I'm sorry for the wait, but I think our real battle starts now." He announced. This man had displayed some serious high speed movements. He wasn't positive that he might try it again, to get past the length of Amare's spear. Afterall, a spear's advantage was it's length, right? Well.... not quite. Not in Amare's hands anyways. But that would be learned in a very short order by Andrea.

Ah, so he was a Fullbringer. Bounts had Dolls and such, Fullbrings had weapons like this. However they were more then that. Andrea knew as much. He was going to need to stay aware if this battle was to commence for much longer. However, Andrea wanted no such thing. He wanted to end the fight, and quickly. He had no reason to extend it, besides, the faster he finished this fight the sooner he could be on to his next. So instead of attacking in some manner that would end up leading to Andrea's defeat he was going to basically render the Fullbring useless.
His idea? Reiatsu Crush. Of course it was a risk, draining alot from Andrea, but it was easily worth it. Andrea didn't know of the actual ability of the Fullbringer, but it was always better to be cautious with an unknown opponent. Besides, he'd only used the technique once before. But that was simply to toy with his opponent. But now, 800 to 300. The gap was huge. He used the technique only a moment after Amare used his Fullbring. He was concentrated fully and had his sights only on Amare. The sensation from this technique was too much for many, including Humans. Hell it was amplified on Humans, a Shinigami was stable in their ability to use Spiritual Pressure, Humans were not meant for such things.
The technique would instantly take effect, taking away everything. Sight, hearing, emotions.. everything. What was left? Pain and suffering. Amare would drop to the ground, no doubt dropping the spear as well. Meanwhile, Andrea would capitalize. A single strike, after Andrea took a moment to form his Zanpakuto. One slash, cleanly across Amare's neck would decapitate him. The only way out of the situation would need to take place before Andrea used Reiatsu Crush, but because Reiatsu Crush only effected it's target and nothing more, it wouldn't actually make any physical contact with the spear.

(ooc: Transferring 200 Reiatsu strength to Spirit Pressure)
Amare suddenly felt an immense pressure upon him. He managed to maintain his grip on his spear, and in fact, used it as a stand to try and help him stay on his feet. What was this... incredible pressure. Was this the force of his foe's spiritual pressure? It was immense! But.... fortunately, Amare had learned a little trick to help him against this! He began focusing his reiatsu and began channelling it to fight back against Andrea's crushing spirit pressure.
This was done as Andrea shifted his ring into a blade. Just enough time. Amare had increased his spirit pressure to equalize it with Andrea's at the cost of his reiatsu strength. And since Reiatsu crush acted on a comparison of spirit pressure, not reiatsu strength, he had managed to match Andrea's, and break the spell. And just in time. Amare regained his senses just as Andrea lunged at him, and tried to decapitate him! Normally, after recovering from such a technique Amare would not have had time to block it. Fortunately, in this situation, he already had his spear up.
It only took a small movement for Amare to move his upright spear between his throat and Andrea's slash. With this said, Andrea's lack of good footing due to the reiatsu crush hurt him here, and Andrea's attack smashed Amare backwards. Even though Andrea was weaker physically, Amare's weakened position caused the blow to force Amare back a few steps. However, he quickly reset his position, his forehead covered in sweat from the effort he'd had to exert to defend himself. He pointed the spear at Andrea. Not good. I almost died there![/i]
Amare knew he had to take the offensive. Who knew what other things this guy was going to try!? Amare had to make a strike! A sudden flare of reiatsu surrounded Amare as he unleashed his Fullbring's secondary properties! It was risky, but Amare was on the defensive and didn't have a choice. Immediately upon releasing he lunged forwards shooting a thrust forwards at Andrea's heart! Now, there was a deceptive trick here, as expected of his stage 2 properties. To Andrea's eyes, the spear point would actually appear about two feet further away from him than it actually was.
Many opponents used the idea of evading at the last moment to catch their opponent with their pants down, so-to-speak. If one evaded after an opponent had fully committed to their blow, even a skilled opponent would be momentarily open for a strike. If they dodged too soon, the opponent could retract his attack and be ready to defend. Amare assumed Andrea would be such a person. The kind of man who would wait until the last instant. He would then sidestep the spear and lunge inside its reach to counterattack.
Such an idea was a poor one against Gae Bulg. Unfortunately, Andrea's senses weren't quite strong enough to see through the weapon's trick. He would perceive the spear, at present to be a good two feet further from him than it actually was. So if he tried a last-second dodge, he would find that he'd already been skewered on it. That was what Amare was counting on, to finish him with this one blow.

Andrea knew something was up. His opponent countered the Reiatsu Crush only enough to live through it. However that wasn't all he did. The Fullbringer was pushed back and already striking again. Though Andrea wasn't about to be caught off guard by this Human. Andrea instantly fired four bala at the Fullbring, but it was only to cover him. The bala would block the Humans sight completely while Andrea used Sonido. When he appeared again it was several feet above Amare with a Cero blazing in his palm. The Cero was the first to begin charging. All four bala were launched from one hand while the Cero was charging in the other.
Andrea released the Cero. It would reach Amare at the same time the last two bala did. Either of them hitting him in this state would be near deadly. However if he did 'erase' the space between them the bala would only reach him sooner, giving him less time to evade both. After releasing the bala Andrea was propelled several feet to the side, where he would land.
Post by Amare Mori on Jun 23, 2011 21:57:20 GMT -5
He countered his charge with a long ranged attack!? Amare immediately noticed the speed of the Bala, and so didn't bother trying to avoid them. Instead, he sprinted directly forwards into them. Because Andrea had dodged so early, he had ample time to alter his movement, dodging off to one side and whirling his spear. Because he had dodged off to the side, not all the Bala would reach him, and he was able to block one of them with his spear, the other three shooting past him harmlessly. The Bala that struck his spear simply dissapated at its tough.
Because Amare had been moving when the bala had been fired, it would mean Andrea's timing would be off. He'd reach the last two Bala before the Cero hit. And such a massive attack was hard to miss. Instead of stopping his sprint, Amare noticed the Cero and kept sprinting, using his high speed to avoid the Cero. He whirled back to face Andrea, his mind recalculating rapidly. Alright, so he clearly has an advantage at a distance. And he probably saw me negate one of his attacks, so I have to assume he can guess at what Gae Bulg's capable of. But he still doesn't know about its other powers....[/i]
He could release his Side Fullbring. It would definately be a good idea. But no. It wasn't yet the time. Not quite yet anyways. He was regaining a little control now. The Reiatsu crush had hammered him onto the defensive but it was okay now. He could try and regain the offensive now. The instant Andrea landed, Amare lunged towards him again, driving at thrust at him with his spear. The wonderful thing about Gae Bulg's depth perception abilities were that it was almost impossible to know about them until you'd already experienced them. The negation of sight merely screwed with depth perception. It's not like the spear had an invisible point far ahead of the actual one. It was simply that Gae Bulg made all but the highest of senses misjudge where the spear actually was!

Huh.. so that thing basically got rid of Reiatsu then? The bala simply disappeared.. it was strange. Andrea had to be a little more cautious about his dealing with this Human now. But, he couldn't let things like that alter his judgment too much either. He still had to beat this man, no matter the cost. Andrea landed only to find himself facing Amare again. Great. Again, the moment Andrea touched the ground, he was gone. Thrown several feet to the side and forward. He would appear directly beside Amare, again, a bala exploding from his palm. The distance between the two men was now less then three feet. Basically, when Andrea appeared again, the bala was already crashing into Amare's head. Meanwhile, his other hand was being carried towards Amare's chest. Out from the hand extended Andrea's Zanpakuto, which was also about to crash into Amare's chest.
Post by Amare Mori on Jun 24, 2011 16:53:27 GMT -5
Andrea had only made one mistake. Due to the difference in reiatsu strength any blow he made would be capable of causing serious injury to Amare. The problem was Amare knew this. Additionally, his Sonido would begin to have limited effect now. Why? Because Amare had seen it multiple times. To Amare's analyzing mind anytime he made an attack he was now subconsciously thinking of where his opponent could move to. He saw the power of those attacks. It appeared his opponent was capable of using two types of attack. The first one produce massive power but seemed to require longer to fire. The second one was apparently much weaker, but it did not require charge time to fire and shot faster than the first. With his reduced reiatsu strength, Amare recognized that the latter attacks were more than enough to cause him serious injury.
So the instant that Andrea went into Sonido, Amare too began moving. However, since he knew his opponent could cover distance faster than he could, he made a shorter movement and ducked, so that the instant Andrea appeared and launched his Bala, it would fly through the space where Amare's head had BEEN. He noted the zanpakuto extending out of the second hand lancing towards him and made a swift cutting motion with his spear. Afterall, spears weren't only for thrusting. Amare was going to intercept the attack by cutting off Andrea's hand. He used the momentum of his movement to move his vital points out of the way as well. Even if Andrea felt that the loss of his hand outweighed skewering Amare, his sword would only thrust through Amare's shoulder. Otherwise he'd have to cease his attack to block Amare's attack.
But Amare wasn't finished there either. The Fullbringer brought the second head of his spear driving up towards the inside of Andrea's thigh with a deadly thrust. Because of the minimal movement required to thrust at such a low target as well, it would be a real challenge to dodge, especially with the negation of sight. His target was Andrea's femoral artery! A dangerous place to be hit for sure.
