Name: Makar Konmika
Real Age: 53
Age of Appearance: 20
Height: 5’11
Weight: 176
Appearance:
Makar is a young shinigami with fiery orange eyes. His hair is spiky and orange and he wears a bright red bandana around his neck. Makar has long eyelashes and wears a constant smile. He has a small body with whitish/yellow skin. His muscles are slender and he contains a rather unimpressive physique when it comes to the squad 11 standard. His canine teeth are very sharp and give him the appearance of a wild animal.
Personality:
Like his counterpart, Katsu, Makar is a party animal. He can hold his liquor and is much louder than Katsu and loves to dance. Makar hates fighting and doesn’t like his job. He would much rather be a normal citizen than be a soul reaper. However, he enjoys the perks that come with working for Seireitei. Makar is a coward and would sell out his captain in a second if it meant he got to live.
Powers: Basic swordsmanship and weak kidou ability
History:
Both Katsu and Makar were friends since birth and grew up together in Soul Society. They were troublemakers that disobeyed one law after another in pursuit of fun. Finally it was time to get jobs and both of them decided to become soul reapers because they thought it was “cool.” While they were in the academy they met Shade Kawada. Initially they saw him as the “smart kid” and began talking to him because they wanted to cheat off his written tests. However, after being shot down by Shade, they both challenged him to a fight.
After being beaten singlehandedly by Shade, Katsu and Makar began to respect him. For awhile they followed his training methods, his diet, and his sleep schedule because they wanted to improve. But their motivation lasted only a week or two before they gave up and began to slip back into their lazy habits. They still considered Shade a buddy and often tried to include him in their late night parties, but Shade would have none of it. In truth he was disgusted by the two of them, but he didn’t show it. So they believed they were his friends all through the academy until they finally graduated and all joined Squad 11. They kept up their bad habits and made sure they didn’t improve anywhere beyond unseated.
Purpose: To die by Arrion’s hand and give him some experience
Name: Katsu Nanahara
Real Age: 49
Age of Appearance: 19
Height: 6’1
Weight: 183
Appearance:
Katsu is a young shinigami with calming blue eyes. He wears a carefree grin and has long, wild, blue hair. His skin is a little darker then his friend Makar’s. Katsu’s limbs are very long and it makes him look taller than he actually is. He wears goggles around his head and has a tattoo of a small, pink flower right underneath his left eye.
Personality:
Like Makar, Katsu loves to drink and party. He’s rather lazy for a shinigami and abhors training. He likes to brag about being a soul reaper to women in Rukongai and uses his occupation to woo women. He doesn’t care about advancing in rank and whines about any hard thing he has to do. He leeches Soul Society of anything he can get because of his job. Free medical care, free food, pay, and free boarding, all of these are reasons that Katsu became a soul reaper.

It was a quiet night in the large town of Karakura. The waning crescent moon appeared as a tiny gray sliver in the sky. Wind blew through the empty streets and the only light came from the occasional street lamp and 24 hour convenience store. It was the type of night that hollow came out to eat. For this reason a larger then usual patrol was sent out to scout the town with more spiritual activity then anywhere else on earth. Shade Kawada, third seat of squad 11 and two other unseated soul reapers leapt from building to building as they sensed for any hostile reiatsu.
“Such weak excuses for shinigami...” thought the san-seki as his eyes shifted to the soul reapers at each of his side. Shade had been in the same class at the academy as both of these shinigami, yet they remained unseated while he grabbed a third seat rank in under a decade. If it were up to the cold hearted soul reaper such hopeless cases as them were a waste of time and resources. They wouldn’t be of any help if they did happen to find a hollow in their patrol. “Are we going to kill them soon?” asked Buraindo Kira, Shade’s zanpakutou. Of course the two of his “friends” would not be returning from their patrol tonight. Shade had already determined that much. He needed their blood, and he knew of their slovenly habits and gluttonous behavior. They were not fit to be shinigami.
“Nice night tonight, eh Katsu?” said one of the two soul reapers. “Sure is Makar, it’s nights like this that make me feel free!” replied the one named Katsu, “I’d almost be willing to just take the night off and hit up a pub!” Shade pretended not to hear that remark. He would be getting what he deserved for behavior like this tenfold. It was not a tool’s job to pursue such trivial pursuits. It was a tool’s job to do it’s master’s bidding. “Oh man! You too? I would definitely be down for some heavy drinkin’ tonight!” said Katsu in response to Makar, “Except for... you know...” Katsu motioned at Shade with his thumb, “You know how he is...”
The two unseated shinigami had known Shade for years. They had always been thorns in the shinigami’s sides and he was going to stop them from embarrassing soul society any further tonight. The san-seki planned on doing it near the end of the job, hoping that perhaps they would die on their own some time throughout the night. That’s when he felt it, stopping his comrades on a rooftop the third seat only whispered, “Hollow reiatsu...”
