Yes, this is Azeru Cho's body. Husk confirmed. When he spoke, it was with an air menace. And I know what you will ask next. I need the body so that I can destroy the shinigami. I cannot do this if I do not have Azeru Cho's body. I need to use it for a particular purpose, so that I may access more of my own power. Husk wasn't shy about explaining to Jin what it was. Put simply, it was probably because Husk knew that Jin hated the shinigami. And, this meant that Jin would probably help out Husk. Therefore, it was beneficial for Jin to be the only one of the spikes to know. In that case though, what were the other spikes for?
Jin's eyes lit up when Husk confirmed that the body was indeed Azeru Cho's. Then, while he was in the process of thinking the next question, Husk was already answering it. His eyes widened even more, and a smirk appeared on his face. He would appear to be a mad man at this moment, with the wide grin which was now plastered upon his face. This voice, Husk, it called itself, wanted to destroy the Shinigami just like Jin. He had already saved Jin's life by giving him power to fight off Shiga back during the war, and now, he had the same hatred for Shinigami that Jin had. Before, Jin only had a little trust for this voice named Husk, but now, he trusted it even more. Jin was all aboard with this plan, though he did still have some doubts about Husk. He wasn't sure if he would be left to fend for himself in the end after the Shinigami were destroyed. He didn't want to just be Husk's lackey. He had his own goals after destroying the Shinigami as well. Jin then laughed aloud, a cold menacing laugh as he questioned Husk once more. Destroy the Shinigami? Why didn't you say this before? I never knew that we had the same goals in mind. Those bastards must die for what they did to my race...and to me. I'll help you. Just don't double cross me in the end.
Jin then bent down and examined the locks on the coffin. He would have to pick them somehow, but how. He stood up and then walked around the tomb, looking for a twig or something that was sturdy enough for him to use to pick the lock. He eventually found one and picked it up. It was thick enough, and when he bent it across his knee, it didn't even snap. He walked back to the coffin and then stuck the twig into the first lock. He fumbled it around a little and twisted it until he heard a faint click. His smirk grew wider, now into a full grin. What exactly happened to your own power? He continued picking the locks as he asked this, only asking to pass the time. He was now on the third lock, and was fumbling the twig within it vigorously before he heard it click as well. He then moved on to the next lock. He hoped that this would not take too long.
"I'm tearing it all down. No structure. No Gods. No Masters. Just pure Anarchy..."
Husk cackled menacingly as Jin started to pick the locks, and started giving these thoughts. No worries, Bount. Your race serves my purposes far too well for me to abandon you or turn on you. Though never forget, you are still expendable should you turn on me. As for our goals, they are one and the same, to obliterate Seireitei. You will see, Bount, that I can provide you with great support in such an attack. And, you will also see, that I can provide you with Bitto, should you serve my purposes well enough. As for your thoughts about not wanting to be my lackey, you can have the human world for your Bount. I aim much higher than that. Husk cackled again, his voice no longer a rasp as it had been when they'd first met. Husk's voice was literally a powerful one now, he could speak normally. Did this mean that, prior to what had been assumed a terrible condition, he was healing? Husk was getting stronger then.
My own power is alive and well. Husk replied. I sealed the majority of it into my servant before my tragedy, so that I could easily reclaim it when I became free again. She has no emotions or will of her own, and so she has been the guardian of my strength for all these long centuries. Husk laughed inside of Jin's mind. But you must be wondering, Bount, what exactly happened to me. I will tell you. It was a long time ago. I was a shinigami, one from before your race even existed. Originally, I was known as The Spirit Prince, heir to the Spirit King. He cast me down and disclaimed me because I left his palace to destroy a hollow, becoming corrupted by the outside world. I saved a young boy, an innocent, and that was my reward. So, I became a shinigami. With my power, I was second only to the Captain Commander. And eventually, when he stepped down, I took his place. For years Soul Society flourished under me.
He laughed again. But then they discovered my experiments. The Spirit King unfairly cast me down, my goal was to overthrow him with great power. In fact, I did attain that power. However, before I could get it, the Zero Division came, along with many volunteer shinigami. Unable to defeat me, they used the strongest Bakudo to try and seal me, for I was easily able to overpower their Hado, and they did not meet the requirements for the strongest one. They tried to bind me, but I was still too strong. I drew their spell onto myself, isolating not myself, but the outside world as I cast the power far away into a servant girl that I already had. The modified seal stripped me of most of my senses, and they all lashed out violently, hitting me with hundreds of Kidou. But, because of my power, and because of their seal that I modified, I survived. I could no longer die. Using the seal, I could pull in energy, life energy as well, to keep myself sustained. And, I learned that I had access to some of my powers still. I could create spikes, such as the one in yourself. Using a network of my energy and spikes, I have searched for a source of power that I could use to gradually heal myself, and for other purposes. I have been in Seireitei's dungeons for over 32,000 years. But, soon I will be free. Much of my original shinigami powers are still within me, but I cannot use them because of the seal. This is what Azeru Cho's body is for. I located him a while ago, and he has been my source. I have a special spike inside of him, and have slowly been drawing minute traces of his power to heal myself. My body is fully reconstructed now. To move, and to also access some of my power, I need the body to be exposed in the world, so that I can draw all of its power in and break the seal!
That was when the last lock was picked, and the coffin slid open. Inside of it, was the man that everyone had feared for over 10 years, the man that everyone spoke of. Azeru Cho. His hair was brown, slightly curled, but neat. His eyes were closed, and his skin was flawlessly smooth. He had a cruel look even in death, and what appeared to be a white dagger was stuck where his heart should be. Azeru Cho's eyes suddenly flew open, and he smiled. "They could not kill me?" he mused as he spoke. "What is this? I am only sealed." Husk cackled as Azeru Cho spoke. They couldn't, but I can. And, in an instant, Azeru Cho's body caught fire. It began dissolving into ash instantly. The fire was black, and the heat was ridiculous. "M...my power..." he whispered. "It's draining.." And, he was burning as well. Soon, Azeru Cho broke out into screams. He screamed in agony as Husk assimilated him. NOW. BECOME MY POWER. Husk exclaimed hungrily. BREAK MY SEAL! HAHAHAHAHA!
Husk has been freed. He feels it, the power coursing throughout his veins! The seal is cracking, cracking. In his mind, Husk can hear Azeru Cho's screams through Jin Yamada's senses. He feels the seal continuing to crack. Flames envelope Husk, but they do not burn him. They are merely an output of his power. They are making him strong, very strong. His power is growing, returning to him at last! The seal is cracking. It has been growing steadily weaker for 32,000 years. And while Husk would never have been able to break it alone, it is now weak enough for him to break with this mass of power that Azeru Cho contained. At last, the seal gives one last final crack, and shatters with a mighty roar, becoming totally obliterated. Husk feels it suddenly leave. It takes a moment for him to adjust to it, but then he feels his wonderful power returning to his body. He has not forgotten how to use it.
This is his first step now. Husk slowly, and gingerly stands. He slowly looks around. He breathes in, and then out. Husk takes a step, and begins walking up the stairs. He is still invisible, totally masked both physically and in reiatsu. Nobody can sense him. However, Husk now lets out an evil cackle, a laugh that echoes through the entire white tower, and brings fear to the minds and spines of everyone inside of it. His laugh is evil, and menacing. At last, he stops, and looks around. It has been a long time since he has felt normal. Husk reaches up to the top of his head as he breathes in deeply. He still has no hair. But, he feels the roots are there. His hair will grow back soon. Husk smiles and laughs to himself, and then he remembers Jin Yamada. When he speaks, it is both out loud and in his mind. "You will be hearing from me, Jin Yamada." he says in a strong voice. "Until then, don't forget our deal. You will see me soon." With that said, Husk at last reaches the exit of the white tower. He opens the door, and exits. Husk has been reborn.
Jin listened to Husk talk as he was picking the locks. Husk told him that he didn't have to worry about being abandoned because the Bount race was necessary for Husk's plans to succeed. Many more thoughts were now running through Jin's mind now as he picked the next lock. He was told that he wouldn't become a lackey, and that he could complete his other goals after the first one was completed. Jin smirked as Husk continued talking.
Husk then began to tell Jin of his past and how he had once been a Shinigami. A Shinigami? Jin at first felt that he was betraying his kind by even helping Husk since he had once been a Shinigami, but after Husk told Jin that he had been from the time before Jin was even born, before Bount were even born, it eased Jin a little more. This meant that Husk had not been apart of the slaughter of the Bount. He had been imprisoned way before it. Jin respected this of Husk, and he also respected the power which Husk had shown him that he had so far.
Meanwhile, Husk's story continued. He told of how he had sealed his power into a servant and then used the seal that had been used to bind him to gain power. Then, while Husk was finally telling Jin of what he actually wanted the body for, Jin was picking the last lock. Jin stared inside of the coffin at the mean within it. This man that had been close to destroying the Shinigami before was now lying before him. All of a sudden, the man's eyes flew open and Jin jumped back out of fright a little. Azeru Cho then spoke, but as he did, Husk also spoke. Jin then watched as Azeru Cho's body began burning. He covered his eyes to prevent them from taking the full heat of the flames. They were an odd colored black, but they were still powerfully hot. Jin backed up a little as he watched the flames burn the man to ashes.
Jin stood there in awe, staring at where the body of Azeru Cho, once lay. He heard nothing within his mind and was unsure what had happened to Husk. Then, all of a sudden, he heard Husk's voice. "You will be hearing from me Jin Yamada. Until then, don't forget our deal. You will see me soon." Jin's smirk widened, and it grew into a wide crazy smile. Jin then cackled loudly, a loud and menacing cackle. All of his goals were soon in his grasp. All that he had been planning for over three centuries after becoming a Bount was soon to come to fruition. He would finally destroy the accursed Shinigami who slaughtered his race, all with the help of the man named Husk. Jin's laughter continued, until finally, after a few minutes, he stopped. Only his famous smirk remained, and he turned away from the tomb and began to walk away. He had to go prepare himself. He had to grow stronger before he destroyed the Shinigami.
