Sayuri didn't like being disturbed, but he had no choice this time. He was being called to Old Lightning's place so that he could be given some extra training along with other Captains. Apparently he and the others were considered too weak. This wasn't totally out of the question. Sayuri's experience when facing some of the Espada hadn't been good. He itched for a chance to defeat some of them, and so he was going to have to get stronger to do that. Sayuri trodded nicely towards the Squad 1 barracks. He just wanted to finish this up as quickly as possible, and get stronger. He had a feeling that nothing would be the same when he finally walked out of the barracks again in one week. So, what exactly would Sayuri do? He wasn't totally sure yet, but he hoped that it would be good. He hated being one of those people that was considered weak. Being weak sucked. Sayuri wanted to be strong.
If anything, Sayuri hoped to become the equal of a certain Espada that had beaten him senseless during an execution of Arrancar not too long ago. It had been an experience Sayuri had hated. He wanted to become the equal or superior of that one Espada, and to defeat him. He wanted to destroy that Espada, crush him under his boot like a maggot not even worth the time it'd take to cut him to ribbons with a blade. Sayuri hoped not just to surpass that Espada, but to learn to surpass other Espada. If the forces of Old Lightning were strong, then the forces of Kouhai would fall.
The doors to the Squad 1 barracks swung open instantly as both Sayuri and Retsu arrived. Kenshin Tarento was already waiting for them both, looking at them. He was the Vice Captain of Squad 1, and he was actually stronger than either of them as it stood. He was an ex Zero Division member, just like his Captain, Aryuu Juuken; Also known as Old Lightning. "The Captain Commander will be with you shortly." Kenshin said. He motioned for the two of them to follow, and started off his walk into the large hallways of the Squad 1 barracks. People all around were sparring each other, socializing with each other, just generally training. Kenshin was leading them to a special dojo area that Old Lightning himself used. It was going to be private, just Kenshin, Old Lightning, Retsu, and Sayuri attending this. Kenshin at last reached the double doors, sliding them open. He motioned the two captains inside.
Old Lightning was standing, staring down at them. "You two know why you are here." he said. "You are TOO WEAK!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! YOU WILL BE MADE TO GROW STRONGER TO KEEP YOUR POSITIONS AS CAPTAINS." It looked like this was going to be a hell of a week. The room was a huge rectangular shaped room, easily as large as ten of the other rooms in the compound. There were shelves of training items, restraints, weapons, tools. There were training dummies of all kinds all around, and it was presumable that some of them could be used for some very practical battle training. Everything in the room was for training only, and apparently for very difficult training. Old Lightning already had the apparent idea of what to do first to these people. "We will be having you use these." he said, pulling out twin wrist bands of glowing yellow color.
He put them on Retsu and Sayuri's wrists. "These are restraints of motion and power. It's very crushing to have these. You don't feel it until you try to move. Once you try to move, you will feel the equivalent of all my spiritual pressure, and maybe even more, crushing down on you. You will have to strike those dummies for a bit, and then spar each other, while this goes on. After one or the other of you is victorious in the spar, we will move to the next branch of training."
Saix stood behind Kenshin and Old lightning, with a massive grin on his face. He was bored, and there was little to do in Seireitei. Despite having a sizable amount of fear for the Captain Commander, Saix was well known for crossing Old Lightning a fair amount of times just because he wanted to. This time, he wanted to see if the commander has something to actually teach him. He wanted to learn more, but somehow, he wasn't learning enough from people around Seireitei. He gave a short tap towards Kenshin's shoulder, and giving a slight thumbs up, then rounding towards Old Lightning once again, his massive grin still plastered across his face.
"Tanoshimi-san is out for today. The Kido Corps had him doing some grunt work over someplace. And I'm really bored. You can do those fancy energy wave that shoot from your hands and fingers too, right? Like Tanoshimi-san! Teach me! Teach me!" Saix said, jumping up and down from the spot like an excited kid.
His zanpakutou was extremely loose, and was literally hitting Saix's head every time he lands on his feet, but he seemed unaffected by it. Instead, he was still incredibly cheery, and his grin look perpetually plastered on his face, like a clown, but more daunting and lively. His hazel-brown eyes was staring at Old Lightning with a lively and exceedingly euphoric look in them.
Old Lightning was obviously irritated as he turned around, looking at Saix. "The training for new Kidou that I have personally developed will begin in two days. For now, help the other two with their physical training." he said. The glare and tone of Old Lightning signified that he did not like a Captain acting like a little child. He was obviously holding back from chastising Saix and beating him to a pulp. Old Lightning's voice rang strong as he gave a new set of commands. "Those dummies will spin after you push them! The wooden fists will head for you. When you block, the dummy will spin around and the other wooden fist will head for you. Each of you will take three of these dummies, and use all of them. Do not let a single punch hit you." There was no way to do that! Absolutely no way if those restraints were there. Those things were nasty. Old Lightning looked up at Saix.
He pinned a large red restraint on Saix. "The equivalent of two oceans of Reiatsu." he said. Obviously it was a high level restraint. "Help them practice while you yourself get accustomed to that." The restraints used on Saix were a far higher level than those Sayuri or Bee were using. No doubt Old Lightning figured that Saix was far more powerful physically than either of them, so he had to give them an easier time than he did Saix. It was fine. They'd get accustomed eventually, it shouldn't take too long, shouldn't be that difficult.

Sayuri tried to move, and he couldn't. When he tried, it hurt, and the pressure was caving in on him. But, he adjusted. It took him the few minutes of Old Lightning talking, but he managed to be able to move relatively normally. Sayuri pushed one of the dummies, then the next, then the next. One of the hits came for him, and he blocked it. Then, he went to block the next one. It was coming too fast for him! He was too slowed, too much weaker now! It was so painful! Instead of blocking, Sayuri dropped to all fours. He retched onto the floor, unable to stand the pressure that was coming down on him. He couldn't stand it! It was just too strong! Sayuri didn't like it. He didn't like it one bit. The fists clanged together above him. He stood up, pushing the dummies again. He wanted to try again. Sayuri continued trying for the better part of an hour, not making much progress. He managed to block two or three hits, but then he had to stop and rest.
That was when he got hit again. Sayuri did this for five hours in intervals of 6 second trying, quick breath catching. He did this over and over and over, until he could block about ten strikes before he lost his footing. He was getting better!
"Hey, these looks gnarly! PSYCHE!" Saix said happily, despite all the pressure being put on his body. The strain was great, that much is true, because Saix was moving sluggishly and he can barely run around nor jump. His movement was reduced to a drag walk, but people would have the impression that Saix was not feeling the strain. Why? Simple. Because he was smiling, looking extremely like a crazy lunatic.
He approached one of the dummies, and tried to lift a hand. He was making extreme efforts just to even raise an arm, judging from the slight frown on his face, but he overpowered the frown with another massive smile plastered across his face. He was grinning now, even though he could barely move his body. He forced his arms to move with sheer will power, and immediately punched a set of three dummies. He punched only one, but it sent a chain reaction towards the others, hitting him squarely on the head, and on the stomach, which sent him flying away towards where Old Lightning was. He scratched his head with effort because of the restraints as he glanced towards Kenshin and Old Lightning. A huge grin was still plastered on his face as if he wasn't having any trouble. His body was saying otherwise, as his entire system was quivering from the pressure being given off by the restraints.
"Oh. So we're supposed to evade it! What a bummer. Oh well, let's try it again!" Saix remarked happily, standing up once again.
He happily made his way back towards the dummies, grinning wide despite having a slight bruise on the head and an aching stomach from the hit he just received. Despite his demeanor, once could easily tell that Saix was now focused. His combat aura was somewhat different from earlier, albeit he was still looking like a lunatic with his smile. There was a hint of intensity lining the air around Saix, like his mind was cut off from his body. It was then that he punched the dummy, and as the incoming dummy knuckles come at him, he blocked each, much to his euphoria.
"YAY! I FUCKING DID IT! Whooo----" Saix started but he didn't get to finish his statement because at that precise moment, he got hit by the dummy knuckles from the other side. He fell down on the floor, clutching his head in pain. One would expect that he'd have a pained expression on his face, but no. Saix was still grinning wide, despite his eyes being teary.
"That was trickier than I expected! But IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!" Saix said, standing up once again. Somehow, his body was adjusting faster to the restraints. Why wouldn't it? He was built for these types of conditions. Kousaru put him through much heavier training before. By now, he could move his feet and arms rather well, though not at their full capacity. At least he wasn't struggling to move and wasn't feeling sluggish. He could even hop a few centimeters off the ground.
He faced the dummies once again, still grinning wide. He did a light jab, then blocked the incoming pegs with his leg and forearm, then did the same on the other side, until he was practically making the dummies spin. There was an air of euphoria around him as he was doing the training, despite the obvious strain being put on his body. After around an hour of doing this without break in between, he was strained already. The restraints were giving him enough of a challenge now, but he didn't mind. He kept his smile and rested for about a few minutes before resuming another hour of non-stop training. At about the same time that Sayuri stopped, Saix also stopped, sweat lining his entire body. He's already removed his trench coat, and top shirt, and has only kept his black slacks on. His scars across his body was apparent and glaring without his upper garments, but he didn't mind. The heat would probably kill him if he didn't do it anyway.
"ALRIGHT! So, what's next Jii-san? Are there more of these dummies? huh? Or are you going to fight us?" Saix said eagerly, catching his breath every now and then as he placed both hands on both knees, with hi gasping for air.

Old Lightning motioned to a door, which immediately opened. Instantly, twin gray figures materialized in the 'closet', and stepped out. They appeared to be men. They both wore black ceremonial silk robes with red dragon patterns on the fronts and loin cloths. They were both gray skinned, incredibly muscular, very good, masterful physique. Each one wore a Chinese hat with a long pony tail braid, black hair, sticking out the end of the hat. Each one had a yellow slip of paper with black writing plastered across their faces. One of them rushed at Sayuri, swinging directly into a round house kick towards Sayuri. It was obvious what was happening. This was a test of how far the two of them had come. They had to defeat these strong martial artist 'dummies' with the restraints on. The one attacking Saix was stronger than the one attacking Sayuri, since Saix was the stronger of the Captains. This one came in, snap kicked, but this was only a feint. The snap kick's end showed this one falling back on his hands.
Using his hands to propel himself, he launched and landed behind Saix, releasing a powerful tiger palm towards Saix. Meanwhile, the one Sayuri was facing, after round house kicking, chopped towards Sayuri's neck. The two of them were using Karate. It was a custom variation, but it was very effective. A direct hit would not be a very happy time for either Saix or Sayuri. Though the former was resistant to pain, the pain these moves could inflict, would not be the type he could resist.

Sayuri was sweating already. This training was hard. Then he saw the new dummies come out, and he mentally groaned. His body was tired, and these restraints were still weighing heavy. His movement had adjusted to a better speed than before, but his joints and muscles were aching, his whole body was creaking. Sayuri ducked when the round house kick came. It wasn't hard because he wanted to sit down anyway, or crouch. He was being weighed down, so dropping was easy. When the chop came, he reeled both of his arms into a crossed position to block it. He was already breathing heavy. Sayuri rolled backwards, away from the martial artist. Sayuri was already feeling sluggish. The effects of the restraints was not a fun experience. He drew his zanpakutou, and thought into his mind. Bako. I need your help. Please, give me your strength. Help me overcome this. Please, BAKO! Help direct my body, fight with me as one once again! Sayuri felt a surge of reiatsu, and he stood up quickly.
That had been a lightning quick movement, he felt. But, the restraints had already suppressed the reiatsu. However, Sayuri now had a bit more refreshment in his limbs. He was still tired, and he was still restrained, but he at least had a grip on himself, and he could move better, he had some of his stamina back. Sayuri rushed at his opponent, sending two solid jabs with his free hand towards the face, while slashing with his sword at the stomach.

While Saix was musing around, Old Lightning called in what looked like two dummies that can seriously dish out pain. Both looked incredibly buffed, and the way they move suggested that the two meant business. The other one immediately went for Sayuri, attacking him rather quickly and aggressively. Saix was about to muse whether or not he should go fight the one attacking Sayuri when the other one went for him. He cocked his head back to evade the snap kick, but halfway into executing his move, his well-honed combat instincts told him it was a fake. Judging from the way the dummy kicked, there was practically a lack of force behind the kick, which somewhat made Saix brought up his hands forward, and assume a kokutsu-tachi (back stance).
Personally, Saix doesn't know what his movements were, but as an avid fan of martial arts, he somewhat moved as he saw fit. Since midway into dodging, he changed his stance, with his left hand and right in front of him, and his left knee slight bent along with his right, and about 2/3 of his body was supported by the back leg, he was ready when the dummy suddenly launched the Tiger Palm. Saix would've blocked the blow, but his restraints would've not allowed him to fully absorb the damage. He didn't know this consciously, however, as he fought instinctively.
As the Tiger Palm was executed, he made his move. From his stance, with his left hand forward, and his right hand on waist level, both palms open, he countered the attack. Using his left hand, he pushed on the dummy's wrist from the side, pivoting his waist to the right to add force to his attack. This would swerve the palm away from his body, and towards his right. While doing this, he stepped with his front foot (left foot) forward, so that his left foot now sits behind the opponent's back leg and his left elbow is directly in front of him after pushing the attacking palm's wrist to the side. This meant that should a punch, kick, or elbow tries to attack his midsection or torso, he can block it with his own elbow strike.
But it wasn't finished there. He still had his right hand. By now, his opponent has its side exposed to a counterattack, while Saix has his front body well covered. They were too close to each other now, meaning that there wasn't too much space to move, at least for the dummy. Both of them were inside their opponent's personal space, but now, Saix has the advantage, because of the position of his limbs. His opponent cannot back away because his leg was trapped by Saix's left foot. He cannot move his body because Saix countered while he was executing his Tiger Palm, which meant that the momentum was still carrying him through while Saix was doing everything. And even if he did tried to use his opponent hand to attack, it would be too ineffective, as there wasn't a lot of space for the dummy to generate enough force to knock Saix away, that and the fact that Saix's limbs are in a well put spot to attack.
While still in the position, Saix decided to use his right hand, and do a Palm Heel Thrust of his own. He did this as he saw the opponent's Tiger Palm swerve, he immediately flicked his waist towards the opposite direction, and snaked out his right palm, aimed towards the opponent's chest. Saix, however, was having difficulty applying force, because the restraints were not allowing him his full strength. Should everything fall into place, he would at least be able to strike the dummy and send it a few paces back.

Saix's battle dummy was suddenly reduced to dust by the single hit, as was Sayuri's. Something was very very wrong. Old Lightning's eyes were traced across the arena, staring down the two of them. Fury was in his eyes. He looked down at the tags that had been on the faces of their adversaries, which remained on the floor. The writing had been translated so that the both of them could read. Explode. The tags had been ready to detonate and take them out. Old Lightning's test had been failed. He boomed now, his voice a high arch of thunder, a roar that threatened to rip the room into thousands of pieces, splinter it from the very core. His yell was such that the tiniest inch of fear, the smallest egg, would hatch and become a monster, a gigantic and powerful dragon of the listener's inner fears, all of them magnified by the fear that one would feel, simply seeing the ferocity that Old Lightning had.
"YOU FOOLS!" Old Lightning exploded. "YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN DESTROYED!" He drew out his enormous sword, which quickly grew in size, becoming a large buster sword. He smashed it into the ground, splintering it with a mighty crash. Pieces and wood fragments flew everywhere, blasting all throughout the room. "YOU WILL NOW BATTLE EACH OTHER, PRACTICE AMONGST YOURSELVES!"
OOC: You two are equal due to the restraints. 50 in all stats, except those with lower than 50.
You guys haven't posted in a while, yada yada, etc etc...You get the deal, thread terminated, for your participation thus far I'll give you limited rewards, blah blah blah, Sayuri can have 100 SP, Saix can have 3000 Ryo.
