-Basic Information-
Name: Seikei
Real Age/Age of Appearance: 29/22
Birthday (Month/Day): 8/27
Blood Type: O-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 6’4 140 pounds.
Physical Description:
Seikei does resemble something of an eagle if we were to name names, yellow appendages, bright bristlingly white feathers. It’s an undeniable resemblance, and from a distance it could be forgiven to mistake him for one, especially with those puffed out wings, but that is where the similarities stop, at a distance.
To begin with Seikei has noticeable more markings, a small Diamond shape, the black pattern that marks his forehead in repudiation to the sizzling white brilliance of his overall appearance. His wings span 8 feet when they’re flared out fully, tapering from pearly white to a demure pattern of blacks and grays and whites at their tips. Much of his body follows this overall pattern, a mix of those colors in various stripes, however the white feathers remain the dominant coloration.
Seikei stands at a solid 6 feet and 2 inches, a mirage of puffed up overdone feathers coats his physique giving the impression there is solidly more to him than there is at his rather trim 140 pounds. Each inch of his lightweight body tuned for flight, He has a wiry and stringy physique that ends in brilliant gold, a well kept beak and striking black talons meticulously maintained as is all of Seikei’s plumage. Seikei spends an inordinate amount of time tuning his look and it shows meticulously keeping a feather out of place despite how much he molts and his overall substantial fluff.
Seikei’s clothing choices are primarily driven by utility, tight jackets and pants that preserve enough flexibility to move without being so baggy as to cause any substantial wind resistance. His clothes are shades of blues, greens, and browns, all natural colors that contrast deeply with the coloration of his feathers. It’s much the same as the rest of Seikei’s appearance, meticulous for his usage and focused.
Following from his well kept appearance there is one thing that absolutely grates Seikei’s nerves about him, and that is the feathers that get everywhere. A few stray ones are almost always caught on his clothes. hanging there, or piled up on the floor around him. This potent detail; the unkempt mess that follows him wherever he may go always causes frustration for the bird as he continuously works to maintain the look he wants, a constant battle with his natural features and the overwhelming puffiness that he was gifted with.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
Bodies of water - Seikei is completely unable to swim and the thought of drowning is awful. Seikei prefers to avoid large bodies of water when possible and not deal with his shortcomings or all of the things that seas and lakes hold. Creepy
Sweets - So unnatural, so disgusting and overdone, how can anyone eat this crap? Sweets and candies are an affront against the meaning of food, they aren’t even good for you.
Feathers - Seikei truly does get sick of having feathers, they take so much work to maintain, time that could be spent doing other things, but if you don’t take care of them it’ll leave you so much worse off, unkempt, dirty, unable to operate at full efficiency.
Hot weather - It’s just too much for him with all the feathers and leaves Seikei a panting whimpering mess when it’s too warm for him.
Rain - there is little weather that could be worse than rain, it’s all wet and messy and his feathers get soaked, and it leads to flooding, it is utterly despicable.
Being alone - Seikei just dislikes being alone, even if it’s around someone who’s not fond of him, he’d rather be around someone than nobody.
Lies - Why, what reason could there be to lie, it only causes more trouble, Seikei can’t stand falsehoods, they only make situations worse or come back to bite you.
Likes:
Fighting - Food is good, and one of the ways to get food is to beat it up. That means fighting is good and it means that Seikei can show his value.
The Sky - As of this point in his life, the sky is Seikeis only friend. He relishes it, staring fondly upwards when he’s on the ground, comfortable when he’s in the air, unbothered by most concerns.
People - Seikei just likes other people, their scent, their breathing, their voices, he loves everything about them, they are the greatest comfort and the only reprieve from a world of being alone.
Garbage - There’s usually plenty of good food in the garbage, and often there is very little competition around what might be considered trash. To Seikei, now that’s the perfect place to look for a meal and he’s more than happy to share this trick with others.
Rocks - Literal rocks. Seikei thinks rocks are admirable, sturdy, defiant, withstanding nature and the world. And there’s just so many different kinds of rocks and minerals too! Not even are there so many different kinds, the way they vary is hardness, luster, and other properties excites Seikei to the very core.
Bugs - Bugs are pretty awesome, there’s so many different types and unlike rocks are actually fun to watch, the way they move and squirm there’s something so invigorating about it.
Collecting things - Seikei absolutely loves to arrange and collect things, categorizing and organizing is just so fun it can make even the dullest of things admirable.
Cold weather - it’s much much much more pleasant and is actually pretty comfortable with all the feathers and fluff. It's cozy.
Flaws:
Naive - Seikei is a bit of the sheltered type, even in his brief time being used by humans he never understood their intentions, he thought they were good. Seikei has a profound ignorance of the world and its workings, thinking the best of people and being easy to fool.
Honest - Seikei is honest to a fault, it’s not that he doesn't know what a lie is. He just sees absolutely zero reason to lie, so he doesn't. He also unfortunately gives others the benefit of the doubt, blindly believing others are truthful unless shown evidence to the contrary.
Indecisive - Seiki has the habit of second guessing himself, always wondering what choice to make, if the other choice would’ve been better, what choice would be best, maybe it’s that one but the other seems smart too. Is it going to be this or that? There’s so many questions and Seiki often takes a minute to commit, more liable to lean on someone else's opinion than to make up his own.
Stubborn - When Seiki makes up his mind he is absolutely 100% stubborn and dedicated to sticking to his guns. Going through the process of even more in-decision making and tossing about options would be hell, and given how long it can take for Seiki to make decisions he knows that they’re the right ones when he commits.
Self Sacrificing - Seikei places the value of his own life, and his own time and development rather low on the list of his priorities and is much quicker to jump to help others in an attempt to make him useful, excited to throw away his personal obligations and responsibilities if someone else needs him.
Motion Sickness - Rather… unfortunate for a bird, Seikei tends to get rather nauseous when he’s flying on a full stomach, and is rather prone to vomiting if he’s had anything to eat unless he’s flying the shortest of distances, and given his love of flight, this presents certain challenges. Boats are another big thing that make him sick, beyond his distaste for bodies of water, he can’t approach them without being made to retch.
Emotionless looking - Bird faces don’t tend to be the most expressive and that’s doubly true for Seikei, he could be having the time of his life, or ready to die and he’d look almost the exact same. For him it’s all in the voice or the habits if you’re trying to read him, but many people don’t pay enough attention, and this drives an even greater wedge between Seikei and others.
Habits:
Preening and Plucking - Seikei preens his feathers almost constantly, pulling away, adjusting, picking at them, fluffing them, Seikei loves his feathers and constantly adjusts them, to the point he can often be found surrounded by a small circle of feathers on the ground or with scattered trails of them leading to him.
Eating People’s leftovers - If someone leaves even a scrap of food leftover Seikei will go to munch on it. Whether they throw it in the trash, it’s half decayed, or just the worst part of whatever meal, Seikei is glad to scrounge through others leftovers, it’s free food and by far his favorite way to eat.
Yawning - Seikei can’t help it, he just often yawns his mouth craning open as he lets a long one out even at the most inopportune of times he often does it with little control despite the frequency.
Staring - Seikei stares at people, at things, his gaze is largely fixed especially in conversation scanning without any regards to courtesy or social conventions, he can’t help but gazing in almost unflinching analysis. He also does this across the room if someone is around, constantly scanning, making sure that people are still there, that they haven’t left.
Sing song tone - Seikei’s speech tends to be characterized by a sing song tone, almost that of a songbird, a rhythmic cadence to his words. It’s a habit that he talks in, originally it made life alone more lively in imitation of the less intelligent birds in nature, but he’s stuck with it and it makes his voice highly distinguishable.
Fears:
Having his wings clipped - If Seikei’s wings were ruined it means he could never see the sky again. Such a possibility is among the most horrifying things that he could ever imagine, rendered even lonely without his most cherished things.
Being hated - Seikei has a deep concern with the idea that his attempts to integrate himself with others will only lead to him being driven off, being hated and reviled with no chance to form connections because he will be the target of the very world itself without a flock of his own.
The Ocean - Seikei doesn't care if he can fly, the idea of such a large body of water is genuinely horrific to him, and the very sight of it or the scent, even the sound of crashing waves is enough to make him sick to his stomach.
Goals:
Find Belonging - Seikei wants to find belonging, he’s always felt kind of out of place different from anyone else and he wants acceptance. He wants a community he can live in, a best friend, a lover, he wants others desperately now that he’s rejected isolation.
Become strong - Seikei wants peace and the best way to have peace is to be strong enough to enforce it. You can’t run or fly away forever and Seikei knows this to be true, so he simply has to turn himself into someone that can enforce peace on others even if through violence. It’s also a great way to become useful!
Destroy every body of water - This is an exceedingly lofty and petty goal, but if Seikei ever had the chance or the means he would absolutely eliminate any body of water he came across regardless of the repercussions, he’d be just as happy if the ocean froze over or dried up. He hates bodies of water, just an instinctive nagging too beyond his inability to swim. It’s really more of a wish than anything else.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Overall Personality:
Seikei is a bird, this is true, and like the way a bird's feathers are arranged he is a multifaceted layered individual. If we were to consider Seikei a candy for a moment, there would be the plastic wrapper, the hard shell, and the gooey inside. These layers of different aspects to his personality are the factors that orient him, that give him his context to the world.
Seikei’s wrapper, the face he puts on the outside and the way he acts is rather plain. Seikei is direct, earnest, honest to a fault. But his face is almost unflinching, showing ever so little emotion in betrayal of the words and the heart that lies beneath. He’s constantly seeking novelty, looking for interesting things, people, places and watching them so intensely like a hawk from a distance. There is a certain fear, a tension that begets this habit and avoidant nature, however he’s always ready to jump in when he feels he might be able to be useful, swooping in and offering his assistance.
Below this outside layer is the hard shell, the relative core and emotions that he acts with. Seikei is pretty gregarious and talkative, a soft cadence to his words almost songbird like when he speaks, a gentle tone one composed and distant with only a hint of his emotions shining through. He’s also something of a high strung individual, jumpy and nervous, always on edge with an urgency to his words, as if every interaction, every moment were seriously important. It’s symbolic of a very helpful and harmful attitude. “What am I doing, what am I going to do?” is a question that is so frequently driving to Seikei, he can’t just tone it down and relax without doing something, there always has to be some activity, something he’s doing, even if it’s just watching, he just doesn't understand what it means to relax.
Despite his ever ongoing urgency, Seikei can be very easygoing in his own way. Making small tasks, little things to do to get in the zone and have peace. Peace is something that Seikei values intensely, and it’s something that he personally finds in work and structure in activity rather than the lack of it. Route action is the most peaceful thing of all, and it’s something that drives him. But the question of how to obtain peace is a moment where his raw attitude shines, peace is something you have to win, to fight for and enforce, he has a rather animalistic sense of peace when it comes down to it.
At his very core, the gooey center that belies all of his actions is the reasons why Seikei acts like he does the reasons for his emotions. There are a few things that drive him, and the first is belonging, a twisted desire founded on the idea of usefulness. If he can prove that he’s useful then perhaps people will overlook his beastial nature and view him as one of their own. Seikei sees himself as something of a tool, no different than a stick used to beat someone, Seikei shall become the stick for others. The other thing that drives Seikei is ignorance, a lack of knowledge, the desire to gleam more, he can’t suppress that childlike curiosity, the motivation to press every button, touch everything, it’s one of the reasons he will insert himself into situations given the opportunity. Restlessness is one of his other core motivators, his desire to be useful expresses itself and creates the context of his goal oriented thinking because of the simple idea that he can’t be useful if he’s not doing something and that drives him into all sorts of situations and behaviors.
He’s overall a friendly individual but peculiar, Seikei’s nature betrays that unflinching face, and at the very deepest recesses of his heart lies a lonely bird trapped within a cage wanting nothing more than to have another with him in his seclusion, it wasn’t the cage that bothered the bird, instead it was the isolation.

-Powers-
Fighting Style:
“If I learn enough then there’ll have to be something that’ll work!” Is the core of Seikei’s combat philosophy, it all comes down to throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. Ideally his goal in combat is to find his opponents weak spot and take advantage of it in Melee combat with a mix of a variety of martial arts. He’s not focused on being the best Martial artist so much as he is focused on being the one who has the most options, because every option is another angle to leverage.
Seikei leverages his senses and his analytic capabilities into a raw package to find openings and counters, he isn’t the type to be too aggressive until he’s done probing the opponent, beginning with simple strikes and attempts at throws should the opponent approach him leaving himself room to retreat and regroup to formulate a starting point.
Once things start to get serious is when Seikei pulls out all the stops switching between various styles of striking to keep people guessing, never attempting to throw the same attack out twice. Hakuda to Boxing to raw animalistic strikes, Judo, and others Seikei flows from toolbox to toolbox aiming to keep people off balance as he hones in on what works. This hinges on Seikei’s trust in both his analytic capabilities and gut feelings. When those falter he tends to stress out and fall back to dirtier street fighting, ready to pull out any trick that he has too to get back within his rather wide comfort zone. Overall he displays a moderate preference for striking martial arts.
If he’s found a weakness in someone else, Seikei will quickly jump to trying to stress it and exploit it for all it’s worth redefining his entire style around whatever opening he thinks he found. He heavily over commits. This is because Seikei absolutely expects to be on the back foot and fights every fight as if he was a heavy underdog, it’s the mentality he’s adapted for survival sticks with it in combat, that he’s the one who has to overcome the odds. Even if he outmatches someone he’s not going to get overly aggressive unless he’s in his release state the only time he is afforded any real opportunity to be reckless.
Ranged combat is Seikei’s least favorite thing, he’s absolutely unprepared to fight someone at range and this is the moment he is most reliant on his wings, using them to take the flight into the sky and make aiming for him harder. Outside of approaching enemies, using his wings for flight in and of itself is something Seikei almost absolutely abstains from unless his opponent can also fly, considering it a badge of honor that he does not simply flee to the sky like so many lesser birds. Though he is more than willing to capitalize on his wings and use them to mess with the timing of his punches or be visual distractions in melee combat.
Seikei’s release doesn't change the style with which Seikei fights, instead it warps his tendencies. It allows him to be more aggressive, he’ll take more risks in pressuring the opponent at a lower risk to himself. Largely, his release serves as a valuable tool to make him a pest. He’s more than happy to let the opponent deal with the wind his wings produce or his feathery covering as he tries to press them and figure out what angle of attack would work best, and if Seikei being overwhelmed… well then he can always let loose a barrage of feathers and retreat.
Yaseishin Name:
Yaseishin Appearance:[/b] Seikei’s Yaseishin largely leaves his appearance untouched as his body’s natural processes speed up, however there is one area in which there is a major change, his feathers, his clothes practically melt away, leaving the birdy boy naked as even more feathers grown in, taking his physique from puffing with feathers to practically downing in them, layers that are inches thick growing in on him like a protective coating, drowning him in his own fluff and warmth. His face begins to look relatively taught and small, only his eyes and the tip of his beak shown through the feathery onslaught, just an overdone ball of puffiness as he sheds and grows in more and more feathers, his wings flaring out growing even longer to allow him to fly a massive 12 foot wingspan of engorged appendages. He looks utterly engorged like he’s about to burst when in fact most all of this is just extra feathers.
Yaseishin Overall Theme:[/u][/b] Birds have the highest metabolisms of any known creature, and Seikei’s Yaseishin capitalize this, taking advantage of natural bird features, and accelerating them to the extreme heightening his metabolism and natural birdlike features in a variety of manners.
Yaseishin Techniques:
Birdy Armor - Overflowing growth rippling with feathers, this is one such feature that Seikei takes on, as more and more feathers begin to grow on his body forming a thick armor like coating of fluff. These feathery plates provide a resistance to the impact and damage of attacks relative to his strength, negating 15% with a lower Os, 10% with greater or equal, and none with an Os 2x Seikei’s strength.
When struck the feathers in an area are damaged rendering them useless to any further strikes in the area as they snap and come unhooked from each other. It takes 1 post for the armor to grow back in as a new layer of feathers takes place and sheds the old damaged feathers, part of the ever growing fluff that encompasses Seikei’s body. It finishes growing in at the end of his next post when damaged. This armor also does nothing to protect his beak, eyes, talons, and claws, all areas totally unfeathered and bereft of protection.
Feathered Explosion - Seikei flexes the muscles in his body sending his overgrown layer of feathers shooting outwards 360 degrees in a razor sharp barrage, individual feathers are propelled at a strength and speed equal to Seikei’s strength. This technique renders Seikei completely naked bereft of any feathers and disables his Birdy armor until it grows back in.
Humming Wings - Seikei’s wings begin to beat faster and faster until they create a light buzzing noise akin to a hummingbird. This provides two benefits, the first of which is that it enables Seikei to fly in any direction with precise movement as he begins to hover off of the ground. The second benefit is the whipping winds created by the fast beating of his large wings, creating a persistent and somewhat intense breeze that emanates outward from Seikei’s wings. The breeze has a strength and speed equal to 75 % Seikei’s strength. the full strength of the breeze emanates 10 feet from him, diminishing by 50% each additional 10 feet beyond his body until it becomes negligible at a total distance of 30 feet.
Any significant damage to Seikei’s wings will disable this ability entirely, If he is flying and his wings take damage he is liable to go into a violent tailspin into the ground from the disturbance of the balanced forces in his flight. . - 100 Reiatsu per post to maintain

History:
Most of Seikei’s memory is lost to him, gone in the breeze blown so far away from the bird eternally beyond his grasp. The first thing he does remember is waking up, his white feathers tinted red with blood, an accident? The second thing he noticed was the severe pain that he was in and that’s when it clicked, he must’ve crashed. The best Seikei could figure out was that he must've gotten injured in flight, and with that his life as he knows it now began. The first few months were the roughest scavenging, living off the detritus of other beasts as his wounds recovered, struggling for his life picking for scraps until he returned to health.
Seikei was an absolute bottom feeder, a scavenger, he was more than content to eat the scraps and garbage that others left behind, the festering corpses, picking through anything for edible food. He had very little will at this point, merely the desire to live, and there was little that could get in the way of his lifestyle, as he scavenged amongst the trees, always watching, always coming and going, flying and looking for places to be. Seikei had no knowledge of other beasts like himself, it was a lonely life most certainly. Seikei’s only companions were the breeze, the birds, and the clouds.
“Look what I found, it’s one of those funny Animals.” The words that struck the most positive chapter in Seikei’s life, when he was crudely adopted by a family in the 74th district of Rukongai. The first strange man whom he would come to know as his promoter, trainer, and adopted brother Keiko offered Seikei food, which the bird boy took greedily, it was better than what he had before. The two strange men then led him to their home, the one which he would come to know as his own for the next few years. It was impressing them with his natural beasital strength that really got the two to accept him as their own leading to a strange arrangement of sorts. The two crudely turned him into a prize fighter for their own gain, fighting various people in the 74th district over small pools of money. Seikei of course benefited too, he was given food by his new family for each victory, which was not a hard task in Rukongai where most paled in comparison to the raw talents a beast such as Seikei harbored. Simply put, Seikei was thriving on lesser competition.
It wasn’t skilless cockfighting that Seikei took up, it was here that he crudely learned a few forms of martial arts, largely through imitation at first, watching Keiko and following his example until Seikei internalized the movements becoming a rough and tumble practitioner in a variety of styles. He had vague notions of what was going on with the whole arrangement, why he had to fight these people. The complexities of the situation went over his head, the fact he was being advertised as a freakshow is one such example, there was no respect in what he did. Seikei couldn’t bring himself to care about the complexities he failed to grasp, he was being fed, and fed better than he was when he was a lonely scavenging bird at that. He had zero reason to complain.
Sadly it was after a few years that Seikei had to be separated from his family. Things had gotten out of hand, people held grudges, and having Seikei around was becoming a liability. “No more fights?” Seikei asked Keiko. “No, No more, you have to Leave. You eat too much, if you’re not fighting. Go!” Keiko ordered, yelling at Seikei again that he had to leave, turning on him as if the last few years hadn’t mattered at all. Seikei was hurt by this, it was a new pain… one which the poor bird couldn’t convey as he sadly took flight returning to a solitary lifestyle.
The new chapter of Seikei’s life was a return to the life he led when he had first woken up, if not for one grandiose difference, Seikei wasn’t struggling nearly as much as he had before. Loneliness was the greatest flaw to his new lifestyle, living on a cliffside where few could reach he rarely came down, only as needed, otherwise Seikei found solace in the sky trusting the clouds to keep him company imagining that this was the life he had before his head injury. Even if he was alone now, Seikei was putting everything he learned over the past few years to use in living a more fruitful and capable life that he’s been leading up until now, one which was shaken up only recently with chance encounters that led to his current position.
Seikei’s first encounter with another Beast Clan, one which while small, incidental, it gave Seikei hope, perhaps he wasn’t so odd, so out of place as he had come to know, it also taught him what the pain that had been swelling in his heart was, it was loneliness. Seikei now had hope though, hope that he could relieve his pains, he had renewed motivation beyond the most primal desires of life and prowess and strength and food, companionship and care came to mind. There were regrets too, the way he lived before, with the people who took him in, he never tried to get closer, always sitting within their boundaries distant a tool, a beloved tool, but a tool nonetheless, he wished things were different. And now he was going to try and make a new life for himself.
The second chance encounter that would change Seikei’s life came after he moved closer to people living on the outskirts of society. Little did he know it, but many seemed to find his presence more or less offensive. It was only when a Shinigami came to see what was going on that Seikei faced troubles though when the two came to blows, the seated officer made short work of Seikei, toying with him the whole time but must’ve found the bird amusing because instead of killing Seikei the shinigami instead offered him a chance at a new life. Seikei jumped at the opportunity to avoid a tragic end and was swiftly taught only the basics of basics and thrown into his new life amongst the shinigami.
