Thread Title: Round one of the Waffle House Tournament!

Location: The new Kitai Brand Fight Club! An extension of the Waffle House. A second building connected to the first, with its own separate entrance, this building looks to be made of purple brick and mortar, with a flat roof, and a bright black and yellow sign that reads 'Waffle House Fight Club'. With a red carpet that runs down the sidewalk, and a bouncer at the door, this has a much different vibe to the original building. On the inside is where the similarities pick back up. A mid sized stadium surrounds a larger than average boxing ring, surrounded by what looks to be a glass dome. Everything has a nature vibe to it, as the stadium seems to be inside an impossibly large tree. The ceiling is made of tree canopy, and branches make up the walls. The bleachers are made of oak, not metal, and the acoustics are dampened by all the open air. On one of the branches is an announcer's box, with a squirrel and a bird as the announcers. There are no less than four concession stands, run by various mid sized animals.

Special Conditions: All characters are boosted to Class 1, Rank 4, 25 skp, with 20-23 tech slots, depending on training tier or not. Characters can respec however they want, and are able. This will be 2v2 matches, inside an indestructible arena dome. Each participant will have one week to post, before they are skipped to the next person. Two skips result in the disqualification of the fighter. Players may join up with a partner, or may join solo, and get paired with another random player. Tournament will start a month after all players join, and the brackets will be posted the day of. There is a losers bracket, for those willing. Fights are as canon as the players want them to be. No Org leader bonuses!

Circumstances: The Kitai Association has unveiled a new arena, and is hoping to build up hype for it through a special tournament. A mysterious figure claiming to work for Kitai has been sent to scout out special talents to join, giving each of you a special invitation to join.

[Holika]

Holika walked up to the stone building, an unease in her chest as she paced the cobblestone walkway in her high heel black leather boots. Her eyesight, now gone from her, left her more than slightly uneasy and her footing even more wobbly than she had hoped. But in her Kitai gigai she was slightly sturdier than the average human and with the spiritual energy pouring out from Kitai’s Waffle House it wasn’t that hard to find her target. Her long red hair flowed behind her, reaching to her high waist, black leather skirt where only her upper thighs were visible between her boots and her skirt. Her stomach was also very visible as he 36DD chest was held back by a black leather top which was little more than a strip of leather held together in the middle by a silver chain looped in six small circlets of similar metal make.

As Holika approached the front door to Kitai’s Waffle House she felt an arm grip her own and begin guiding her away from the front door and she could see the spiritual energy of a Kitai Clone. “You dare lay your filthy hands on me?” She had scowled at the clone. However, she lacked the conviction to pull away from the assistance, her age defining her in a humiliating fashion. It wasn’t easy for Holika to bow to such meager attempts at keeping her in line, but she had no choice but to subject herself to these means of transportation. Without her eyesight to guide her in the human world, she was at the whims of those that would assist her. Even if they were such pathetic beings.

As they reached the warehouse, Holika felt the difference in the ground through her boots, switching from cobblestone to a carpet. It wasn’t very thick, but it was a noticeable change. As her guide pushed the doors open, she could smell the difference in the atmosphere inside. It smelled of the forest and animals, making her picture some long forgotten fairy tale in which a princess sings and the critters run around cleaning up all manner of dust and clutter. She internally wretched as she was further guided into the coliseum in which she was meant to fight, but she pulled away from her guide and began turning her head about to see with her spiritual sense.

The place had been made with spiritual configuration, the very structure lighting up before Holika’s inner mind and allowing her to fully grasp her surroundings much more clearly. She advanced into the bubble of glass that the dome was made from and climbed into the boxing ring, ducking under the ropes that marked the boundaries. As Holika did so, she flicked both of her wrists, summoning the black chains from Hell around her wrists while dangling to the ground around her feet and swords to her hands, holding onto them while cocking her head to both sides and producing the cracking of her neck. She knew that she was here to fight and from the scanning about that she could manage, she didn’t notice Kitai’s pure signature of spiritual energy. Too bad, she thought to herself.

Holika sighed and lifted her left hand while reaching in between her breasts in, digging between the flesh and leather before producing a zippo metal lighter and flicking it open. She quickly flicked the wheel of flint and produced a flame that was of average make and non-spiritual in nature. She then put her left hand directly over the flame and took a moment to focus intently, the flames seeming to grow before engorging and wrapping themselves around her hand. They sputtered and grew before condensing quickly into a set of crystals, five in total and were connected into a bracelet that attached around her left wrist by a silver band. One in particular grew even slightly larger, corrupting into a purple hue while four remained a deep crimson while solidifying. When Holika was finally finished, she turned about and raised her arms. “Kitai, come on out and make this easy. That, or at least have somebody keep me busy before I start tearing this place apart to find you!”

Interrogation (3) - You are able to interrogate people. A 1 means you can usually get enough information to make educated guesses. A 2 means you can gather even more information, but they won't tell you everything. A 3 means they will likely tell you almost every detail. A 4 means they will tell you everything you need to know provided you have at least a 1 in Charisma/Leadership.

Mental Incantation (4) - It allows the user to cast Kidō with mental incantations rather than vocal. A 1 means they can cast the Kidō wordlessly. A 2 means they can cast Kidō wordlessly and say its incantation mentally for increased effectiveness. A 3 means they can wordlessly cast Kidō and vocally say the incantation afterwards to increase its strength in mid-combat. They can also speak two incantations simultaneously by weaving them together to release two Kidō like the Nijū Eishō style. A 4 means they can do everything mentioned before, but now they can mentally weave two incantations together rather than speak it.

Charisma/Leadership (3) - You are good at leading and getting people to like you by using your boundless energy. You can inspire others and gain their trust. The more points you have, the wider a range of people you can affect. A 4 means you can even convince evil people or those of other factions to join you without much of an issue.

Weapons (Chains) (4) - Most weapon-related non-Release techniques may require a certain Skill Point amount, as well as different fighting styles. A 1 would mean you can use them adequately, as if you've been training for a year or so. A 2 means you've trained for about five years. A 3 means you've achieved a great mastery and have been training for decades. A 4 means you can do almost impossible movements with your weapons with great success.

Pain Tolerance (3) - This is how well you tolerate pain. It only applies to physical pain, not emotional. A 1 means you can tolerate it enough to keep fighting despite minor wounds like cuts or second-degree burns. A 2 means third degree burns and basic slash wounds can be fought through. A 3 means you can ignore the pain of many attacks completely, including strong ones. You can even resist severe torture methods, but extreme ones will break this Skill. A 4 means you can power through any kind of pain so long as they are not extreme torture methods. This does not mean the wounds don't affect you, but simply that the pain they come with can be ignored.

Strength of Will (3) - This is used to resist giving in. You can overpower illusions, drugs, and overcome aversions to pain, hardship, trauma, and fear. You can basically just scream and power through to reach your goal. If you lose your will, the Willpower technique will no longer grant you eternal life. A 1 allows you to resist temptations. A 2 means you can resist drug and alcohol effects and overcome mild pain. A 3 means you can resist torture and power through pain. You will never age or lose your will. A 4 means you become somewhat of a mindless person who ignores everything around them if it means accomplishing their goal, but you will suffer from your wounds afterwards.

Lack of Fear (3) - Your character can either ignore fear or does not feel it at all depending on how many points are given. A 1 means you can ignore things that are mildly scary, like thriller movies. A 2 means you may be able to resist fear, but if you are exposed to it repeatedly, it may overwhelm you. A 3 means you can completely ignore any fears, including your own. A 4 means you feel no fear at all, no matter what. This can be used in tandem with Light Aura to make you unquestionably immune.

Technique Description and Effects:
1: The chains of Hell torment the denizens endlessly, so why not share the misery? Learning this ability influences the blades, giving them the ability to cut through anything as easily as a normal spiritual blade can, regardless of the chains not changing in appearance, still as rounded as ever. The offensive stat for the chains is based off either the highest Spiritual stat, or the user's Strength stat, whichever is higher. Chains are unable to cut their owner. This is a passive ability, and is unable to be turned off.

2: Through some heavy handed use of reiatsu, the user can extend and manipulate the chains to do as they please. For strength users, the chains will extend upto thirty feet, and will move at either a speed equal to their speed stat, or at a speed of 600. For spiritual users, the size scales off of their highest spiritual stat. For every 50 they have in their higher stat, the chains can extend another foot, and can move at either 600, or the user's speed. Cost is 100 reiatsu every post.]

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
The Grand Soul Cannon functions very similarly to the Grand Spirit Cannon of the Saika. In fact, this is the upgraded and superior Akki version of the same technique. It is set up very differently from the Grand Spirit Cannon, though. First, the Akki must find or create a source of natural fire. By plunging their hand into it, they suck it into their hand like a magnet pulls in metal. This process hurts and costs 100 reiatsu, but pressurizes the fire into a crystal that is stored on their arm in the form of a bracelet. Five crystals must be created, one of which must be made out of unnatural Hellfire and is the Prime crystal.

These crystal bracelets are set up in an array that allows the Akki to channel their fire. The Akki places the Prime crystal at the center and can place the other 4 crystals as far away as he or she wants. Once placed, they cannot be moved safely. Once a circle has been created, with the four crystals equidistant from the Prime crystal, the Akki can now begin to draw on their energy and fire large blasts of Hellfire. These blasts are as big as a semi truck, move at 1000 stat speed, and explode with the force of a Cero. The explosions leave behind Hellfire that is capable of even setting water on fire if it has superior offensive stat and does not burn out until a source of spiritual water with a higher offensive stat douses it. These blasts themselves cost 200 reiatsu.

At Learned, 5 such blasts may be generated before the Akki develops first degree burns. For every 5 more, the burns increase by a degree.

At Proficient, 7 such blasts may be generated. For every 5 more, the burns increase by a degree.

At Mastered, 10 such blasts. For every 5 more, the burns increase by a degree.

Minimum 700 reiatsu cost to set up and fire 1 blast. Pain, burns for setting up, additional burns for casting. It takes time to set up and if any of the crystals are broken then the whole array catches on Hellfire. Potentially alighting the Akki.

[Col Arana]

Col looked at the building with utter disdain on his face. How tacky. He thought, with regards to the garish purples that seemed the structure's primary color scheme. The red carpet clashed with it, it looked like some disturbing joke of a structure. Something that he'd have to make a point of stating to the architect that built it. Utterly disgraceful and disgusting. But he was fighting here today, so fine. He'd just have to get it over with shortly. The arrancar quickly advanced up the red carpeted walkway, striding past the bouncer and into the arena.

The interior, at least, was nicer than the exterior, or at least more impressive. The internal canopy was an impressive feat of engineering. A shame then, that the designer had taken no pains to try to at least pull the whole piece together a bit. Really now. It could have been so much more than it was. Col sighed slightly. Alas.....

The arrancar advanced further passing into the glass dome and at last the boxing ring. Honestly, this is embarrassing.... Col was dressed in his usual attire. A white button-up shirt, black dress pants and leather boots, and a black longcoat above them all. Two of his plasma blades concealed in the sleeves of his longcoat and the other four slipped into his belt. His Zanpakuto hung from his belt as well, the long and slender blade of his espada ropera ready for action. As Col entered the ring, his ring hand moved across his body to the hilt of the sword and slowly eased it out of its sheath, held in a low guard position, relaxed and casual. Crimson eyes scanned across the boxing ring to the other side, noting his opponent. This was supposed to be a two on two match wasn't it? So then they were still waiting for two more. Col wondered who his partner was, but ultimately determined it didn't matter. Whoever it was, he doubted they'd compare to him.

He took a moment to take stock of his opponent. A Hellion. My, I'm encountering a lot of those lately aren't I? First Kitai, then Tsukuyomi, and now this one. Far too many of them for his liking lately, far too many indeed. They were poor sport and unworthy meals almost every one of them. Ugh. How annoying. How very, very annoying. And this one seemed enraged. Well. Good. An angry opponent was one that was easy to manipulate. Col could feel her immense power. Almost as strong as his own. Almost. The arrancar smirked. Almost, but not quite. In a contest of power he would be her superior, and he was certain he would outmatch her as a duelist. No, she was no threat to him. Perhaps her partner would give him some sport? Well, only one way to find out. The arrancar lightly tapped the blade of his Zanpakuto against the side of his boot, idly, almost impatiently. He'd rather get on with the slaughter and hopefully find more worthy prey....

Unwilling to arrive early and endure the anxiety that came with being the center of attention for longer than would have been necessary, Akio had already spent too long idling outside the building. Once he had run out of time to steel his nerves, he closed his eyes, gripped the unfamiliar quincy cross close to his chest, and took a deep breath. That had been his best attempt to calm down, and from there on, all he could do was remind himself he was representing Le Comte in this tournament. He opened his mismatched eyes, walked up to the bouncer with the invitation he'd been provided, and stepped inside mere moments after they had nodded in the affirmative. Another deep breath; he couldn't leave now. At least not until after the match, and he hadn't been that confident about his odds in the ring. Especially not when he was planning on using a quincy relic just to keep up with the competition.

He hadn't expected to step into some kind of fairy-tale land inside a tree, nor that he'd be led to the entrance of a domed ring by a badger in tiny spectacles. Out of habit, he adjusted each of the snugly fit armlets he wore over his sleeves as he approached the dome, making sure they were secured in place. The usual two had been forced to share space on his right arm, with the ashen black scaled band directly above the cross-etched silver, while his left arm had been dedicated to a new addition: a thick silver cuff worn on the upper bicep, plain save for a ring from which hung a quincy cross that swayed with each step. As he understood it, the relic he bore had a proper name, but he'd been more interested in its inner workings than its history or cultural significance. What mattered was that this tournament would be the only time he'd ever get to use it, and that one of his goals here was to experience it enough to craft a replica.

Beyond the questionable taste in accessories, Akio had dressed casually in a white button-down shirt and dark slacks, then made limited concessions to practical battle garb with tall white boots. And a blue and gold vest with enough pockets to carry as many ginto as he had been able to obtain before the tournament began; as a mystic and a practitioner of sacred arts, those small flasks of liquid soul were his primary weapon. Those and the set of Kathedrale stakes he'd been keeping concealed were also the only parts of his current panoply that he had actually used before, having decided not to bring along any of his Kirchenglocke ampoules to a fight where he had already been warned about needing to work with an unfamiliar partner. This wasn't the time or place for that kind of weapon. Well, the cross he'd brought was new, but it shouldn't have been any different than the last few he'd used, perfectly capable of manifesting a bow and yet decidedly unsafe to attempt a release with. 

"Apologies; it appears you were assigned me as your partner in this battle." Thankfully, the badger leading the way indicated which of those two was his assigned partner as they reached the dome, at which point the woodland animal promptly scurried off, and the overwhelmed young man stepped inside the dome alone and called over to Holika as he slowly approached the ring. She seemed like an ordinary person to Akio's mismatched eyes, but that didn't mean much given how many of Karakura’s inhabitants, himself included, were things that looked human but weren't. Her reiatsu was easy to sense with the flames in use, but it didn't resemble anything he had run into before. All he could really understand about her was that she had an oppressively dark aura and was far more powerful than any inhabitant of the living world that he knew of, both traits she shared with the opponent standing across from her.

How obvious the opponent's nature had been was a sharp contrast to how little he could tell about his assigned partner. Whoever this Kitai person was, and whatever Le Comte had told them, they clearly expected Akio and this woman he just met to fight one of the hollow-derived gods known as Arrancar. Normally, he would have called that an unwinnable matchup, but it wouldn't be right to admit that outright. Besides, this was a special occasion where he could indulge in power beyond his usual limits, so a hubristic struggle against one of the spirits that naturally outclassed inhabitants of the human realm was exactly how he should be spending it. So long as nobody held a grudge after the tournament ended, everything would be fine in the end. But there hadn't been enough time to go over every hypothetical that crossed his mind when he first saw the silver-haired spirit.

"The world is cut, to north, south, east, and west," he intoned as a light breeze kicked up inside the dome. "It wells forth its black blood in wounds." The wind intensified, and faint glimmers of reishi became visible in the air. "I am weak. I am illusion. And all this world is mine." Loose particles became strings, which became ribbons, all blowing in circles around him. "And I must watch it cut to shreds. And I have seen too many souls die. And I have seen the fullness of their pain." Myriad streamers twist like a hurricane, harmless yet intense. "And I would make an end to it." He sounded detached from the words; they weren't his own, merely part of an activation ritual that he clearly intended to finish before anyone actually started fighting. Mainly because it was far too long for that.

He laid a hand on one of the corner posts and swung over the ropes, continuing his chant as he finally entered the ring proper. [smear:ff4500]"And so I call the demon-slaying King; the wheel-turning sage of all the world, ruler of the treasure wheel."[/smear:007f5c] The torrent of flowing reishi spiraled around him and began flowing into the cross attached to the silver armlet. As it did, Akio's reiatsu flared and displayed itself as sluggish viridian coils that rapidly became hyperactive and streaked with irregular blotches of crimson. "Come to earth! Be my heir!" The storm of reishi was entirely consumed and left only a sudden calm in the air. He'd just ascended from perfectly average among the spiritually aware to the peak of quincy power, or at least an imitation so close that it didn't make a meaningful difference at the time. Can I really keep up with them, even like this?

"My name is Naito, and I believe our host tonight wanted me to fight here on behalf of my employer."

Akio is suffering from a partial version of his Soul Specialist type drawbacks while he's shifted to the Mytic type. More specifically, he's a middle ground between his released and unreleased selves for the foreseeable.

[Ghost Fenyx]

"Yuck....oh dear oh dear oh dear....This is not good. This tea it lacks the tea of meadows it lacks true favors of the earth. What does it take in order to get a good cup of tea around these parts? It is bad enough I must deal with the lots of these people and now this." Ghost would already be inside the building Ghost would already be ready for combat. However he was not ready to taste this hot cup of yuck they call tea. He truly could get mad at this. But what can he do not everyone is as gifted as him in making tea. As he took a napkin he would wipe his mouth dry and dismissed the tea and stood up. Upon looking at his pocket watch he would realize that it was time to get started in this depth battle. As he started to walk around he would look down below to see that some one had walked in.

Eye the man he could tell that things were going to get interesting. Ghost said nothing as he walked towards Col. But something was off with him. He was a hollow based being which meant things could get crazy if he was not careful. "I take it we are to team up together? What a cruel twist of jokes to be played upon us in such a cruel way." As he gave a small bow,"I am Ghost an a Chosen one in his Mejesty army. Please do becareful with me I tend to bruise rather easy." Ghost would say as he introduced himself.

Holika watched as the Arrancar made his way into the ring, more just adjusting to her blindness and making out the shape of him by his spiritual energy. It was, to say the least, very perplexingly powerful. To think that the pinnacle of hollow evolution could be so potent actually drove a bit of jealousy into her. She also felt a tinge of intrigue that sparked inside of her, wanting to reach out and feel what his physical features might have been. If his spiritual prowess spoke of anything he might have been a worthy dog to sit at her feet as she tousled his hair. The image in her mind made her grin and she gripped her chains a little bit tighter. She could also hear as he tapped something against his boot, the metal bouncing against the rubber and leather being a bit hard to hear. But she could still faintly hear it, sending more thoughts into her head about this arrancar wrapped in a leathery bundle. And his dark aura was so tastefully consuming that no light shown within him as she reached out with her energy sensory that she felt a need to reach out and see if she could get lost within it. She might have spent the rest of the night thinking on this but alas her thoughts were interrupted by the entrance of yet another person in the ring.

As the second figure walked into the ring, Holika seemed to nod in their direction, reading their spiritual signal with her mind’s eyes and sighed as the gray of their aura washed about. This person seemed to be so neutral it was no fun for her to think how she would torture them. She could toss a puppy into a pit or give a homeless man all of their clothes and neither would probably have an effect or have too much of an effect. It was too hard to discern with this much gray and no defining lines within it. Their power however wasn’t very large but was certainly extremely concentrated. “No need to apologize. Just make sure you stay clear of what I must do and you just might survive this. I’m not necessarily known for my precision... I am Holika.” Holika winked as she said this, her dull eyes possibly showing off the lack of sight within them to her partner. She was however doing her best to turn in their direction while speaking, estimating off of where their voice had come from. As he began incanting, Holika blinked a bit in shock because even if she could not physically see the power culminating she could certainly see the swell of the spiritual particles as it flowed and flared throughout the incantation. “Naito. Interesting. Perhaps you’ll tell me who your employer is at the end of all this. But for now...”

As Holika was finishing her thought she felt the fourth and final member of this ramble approach and enter into the ring. His spiritual presence was noticeable but did not match up the party already assembled. It was average for the normal contestant in this sort of fight, but not overly powerful when compared to those already present. Still, Holika wasn’t going to take him turning his back on her, hearing the difference in his voice as he spoke to the first person to walk in after herself. She began gritting her teeth and formed within her mind the spells she wished to cast. She knew that she could certainly wipe out two in one if she got it right. But she wasn’t going to risk the source of her ire sneaking out of her grasp.

Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky.’ Holika focused, the incantation taking moments within her mind as she continued while beginning to lift her right hand. ‘The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired!’ She finished within her mind as she lifted her right hand, pointing it directly at her intended target. And as she finished, six rods of pure white light would be conjured around the Vandenreich Quincy, Ghost, and fly in with an attempt to pin him in place. Simultaneously, ten orbs of purple and black energy would culminate around him where the rods had also been conjured and swirl around her target in an encompassing circle before following the suit of the rods of pure light and attempting to fly into the center of their conjuration.

As this occurred, Holika would turn to where her partner for the bout was last she heard and smile while saying, “This would be the time to get behind me.” As the ten points of purple and black energy found each other, whether their target was actually what was hit by them or not, they would explode violently and powerfully. Holika focused this spell to contain the range as much as possible, hopefully only allowing the explosion of destructive energy into a fifty foot diameter circle and keeping herself just out of that range. The explosion would instead focus it’s energy upwards, becoming a pillar of black and swirls of purple energy within that would decimate anything caught within the blast. After the blast would finish there would only be a crater left, a smoldering black hole with smoke billowing out of it and some hellfire burning along the edges, having been cast with Holika’s spiritual energy. The blast would even cause a massive burst of powerful air inside of the dome, leaving anyone to possibly be swept about by the buffet of wind.

As the buffet of said wind hit Holika, she focused all of her strength in staying in place, having known this would possibly happen with her being in an enclosed space. The wind would buffet against her hair, letting it fly wildly behind her and possibly into the face of her comrade if he had taken her advice. If he had, he would smell sulfur perforating off of her hair, the natural scent of her kind wildly being thrown into his face. And as the wind would quickly die down with the attack, Holika would continue holding up her right hand, waiting for a possible counter offensive against what might have dodged or been left standing. She was not foolish enough to think she had taken them both out but she would expect the Vandenreich Quincy would have been turned into dust and blown away as well.

Mental Incantation (4) - It allows the user to cast Kidō with mental incantations rather than vocal. A 1 means they can cast the Kidō wordlessly. A 2 means they can cast Kidō wordlessly and say its incantation mentally for increased effectiveness. A 3 means they can wordlessly cast Kidō and vocally say the incantation afterwards to increase its strength in mid-combat. They can also speak two incantations simultaneously by weaving them together to release two Kidō like the Nijū Eishō style. A 4 means they can do everything mentioned before, but now they can mentally weave two incantations together rather than speak it.

Charisma/Leadership (3) - You are good at leading and getting people to like you by using your boundless energy. You can inspire others and gain their trust. The more points you have, the wider a range of people you can affect. A 4 means you can even convince evil people or those of other factions to join you without much of an issue.

Weapons (Chains) (4) - Most weapon-related non-Release techniques may require a certain Skill Point amount, as well as different fighting styles. A 1 would mean you can use them adequately, as if you've been training for a year or so. A 2 means you've trained for about five years. A 3 means you've achieved a great mastery and have been training for decades. A 4 means you can do almost impossible movements with your weapons with great success.

Pain Tolerance (3) - This is how well you tolerate pain. It only applies to physical pain, not emotional. A 1 means you can tolerate it enough to keep fighting despite minor wounds like cuts or second-degree burns. A 2 means third degree burns and basic slash wounds can be fought through. A 3 means you can ignore the pain of many attacks completely, including strong ones. You can even resist severe torture methods, but extreme ones will break this Skill. A 4 means you can power through any kind of pain so long as they are not extreme torture methods. This does not mean the wounds don't affect you, but simply that the pain they come with can be ignored.

Strength of Will (3) - This is used to resist giving in. You can overpower illusions, drugs, and overcome aversions to pain, hardship, trauma, and fear. You can basically just scream and power through to reach your goal. If you lose your will, the Willpower technique will no longer grant you eternal life. A 1 allows you to resist temptations. A 2 means you can resist drug and alcohol effects and overcome mild pain. A 3 means you can resist torture and power through pain. You will never age or lose your will. A 4 means you become somewhat of a mindless person who ignores everything around them if it means accomplishing their goal, but you will suffer from your wounds afterwards.

Lack of Fear (3) - Your character can either ignore fear or does not feel it at all depending on how many points are given. A 1 means you can ignore things that are mildly scary, like thriller movies. A 2 means you may be able to resist fear, but if you are exposed to it repeatedly, it may overwhelm you. A 3 means you can completely ignore any fears, including your own. A 4 means you feel no fear at all, no matter what. This can be used in tandem with Light Aura to make you unquestionably immune.

Technique Description and Effects: An exceedingly powerful spell, this Kido creates ten points of glowing energy around the user before being fired at the target, homing in on it and curving about to impact the victim from numerous sides. Upon impact from the ten blasts, an enormous explosion of Reiatsu is released, beating and quivering as it devastates the entire region with its sheer force. This technique requires the incantation to cast, but in exchange, its power is equal to three times the user’s current Reiatsu Strength.

How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.

Incantation and Effect: “Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. So. A Quincy. That was to be his ally was it? How utterly gauche. And judging by what he just said, he was even a Vandenreich. How utterly reprehensible, to be teamed up with one of those narrow minded, ambitionless dogs. Ah well. Col didn't let his displeasure show on his face, maintaining his smug and easy smile. "Fate is indeed quite cruel, my friend. I am Col. Pleasure to be meeting you, quite a pleasure~ Do try and keep one of these two occupied. I like to savor my meal."

It seemed one of his opposition was also a Quincy, though from slight fluctuational differences in spirit pressure, Col judged that this one was not a Vandenreich. Normally an impossible deduction, but with a Vandenreich Quincy standing right next to him, Col could detect the minute differences that the Emperor's touch allowed. That suited Col just fine. He could tell the Hellion was sizing him up, and it appeared she didn't know what to make of him, from what he could tell by her tells. He had no problem emitting his immense spiritual power as an intimidation tactic and to let the Hellion know she had no chance against him. In fact, to show Holika just how little he feared her, Col even placed one of his hands in his pockets, as if to say: "I will fight you with just one arm". Not being aware that Holika could not see him.

And then it seemed, the battle was on as he felt spiritual power build up in Holika. Which of them would be struck, Col wondered. His stance was still at ease, but his mind was ready to act. As Holika pointed, Col understood. She was going at his ally. That was fine then. "Do enjoy yourself, and try to keep her busy as long as you can. I could slay both of these imbeciles at once, but where's the fun in that?" Col chimed, and then he moved, a black blur, twice as fast as either Holika or Akio were capable of, closing in on Akio with an elegant, but lethal upwards slice at the Quincy, intending to bisect him from hip to shoulder. Closing to melee range also meant that Col would be relatively safe from the backlash of Holika's kido assault, unless Holika intended to catch both her ally and herself in the explosion. Even if not, it also meant that Col would at least have a moment to react if he misjudged. A brief moment, but a moment nonetheless.

Col was in constant motion, not standing still for an instant. Even as he delivered his cut he was stepping offline to Akio's right, and even if his strike were avoided or parried, he whipped his Zanpakuto over his head in a silver arc to follow-up with a horizontal slash to cut across Akio's neck and sever his opponent's head from his shoulder. Or so it seemed. While the slash certainly was deadly if unanswered, it served a second purpose. If Akio made the mistake of only watching Col's blade at this close range, he'd find himself in quite a spot of trouble. Col's high cut was to draw Akio's attention and cause the Quincy to miss a lethal follow-up.

Col's hand being in his pocket was not only a flex. It was to mask a second attack.

As Col initiated his upwards cut against Akio, he'd begun to charge a Cero, at his fingertip. As he stepped offline to deliver his second cut, he gave only just enough time for Akio to register the attack coming. To draw his focus up towards the blade, and away from the hand that was emerging from his pocket, a blue orb at the tip of Col's finger. While Col's blade cut at Akio's neck, Col snapped his hand across his body like a whip, carving a long, thin blue laser at the height of Akio's midsection. If Akio didn't address the cut, he'd lose his head. If he didn't address Col's Cero Lanza, he'd be cut in half at the midsection. And Akio wasn't the only one in danger. The Cero shot straight across the ring as Col slashed, and if Holika wasn't paying much mind, she too could be split in two by the Cero!

Akio had taken the sudden spike in his partner's spiritual pressure as a sign the match had started. He readied a ginto in his right hand and drew attention to it with a chant while he quietly gathered the reishi required for a bow onto the quincy cross in his left. “An iron-horned angel-” That was as far as he'd made it when the arrancar blitzed towards him; he simply hadn't been fast enough to defend against the first zanpakuto slash, only managing a half-step back, enough to keep from being killed but not nearly enough to avoid being cut. “-tramples the fallow field!” A hiss of pain filled the end of his chant as the attack hit: shoulder, chest, hip. A severe cut formed a bloody line across his chest, and his shirt and vest fell open. If he hadn't cheated his way to the upper limits of quincy potential, that would have marked the third time he'd been defeated in one blow.

Instinct guided his hand in defending against the second slash; a quick and forceful twist of the wrist sent his prepared ginto sailing into the air as liquid reishi flowed out from the small silver tube and flash-froze into a large bladed wheel, five-spoked and hewn of the same ice that made up vandenreich castles. He'd formed the wheel at an angle, tilted such that the arrancar's zanpakuto would be caught between spokes if the swing couldn't change course, potentially even wreching the sword from Col's hands when the spell-forged wheel rolled away at twice the arrancar's speed and with the force of the quincy's spirit behind it.

But the bladed rim and freezing touch were only the obvious hazards of Streitwagen; the freezing winds that emanated from it were a more sinister threat, covering everything within just over six and a half feet of the wheel from the moment it began to roll. Akio had caught himself in the blast of cold air, knowing that he had just barely enough tolerance for the cold that his fingers wouldn't go numb even once the light frost had spread over his body. Col would suffer just as much, if not more, unless they had either a similar tolerance for the cold or the willingness to retreat beyond that radius. Not an ideal defense, but far better than anything else he could have done.

The cero was actually easier to react to; Akio's energy senses recognized hollow reiatsu charging up, and he already had a method. Like the arrancar, the quincy had prepared different attacks in each hand, having constructed a small one-handed bow with a single heilig pfeil already nocked. Unlike the arrancar, he had turned both to purely defensive ends. Shifting additional focus to the bow in his left hand, he released it. No arrow fired when he did; instead, a coiling storm of reishi spilled out from the bow, forming a flat barrier of reishi stained with the deep viridian of his reiatsu, all spiraling inward to the central point where an arrow would have been had he fired without the property. Just behind the frigid wheel, it stood barely wide enough to cover both himself and Holika from the oncoming cero.

Over the few seconds that followed, Akio's barrier ripped Col's cero lanza apart, pulling fragments of the beam into the eye of a miniature hurricane to be ground down into base particles. Not knowing how powerful the incoming attack was, he had the highest class of arrow as its foundation; unless Col resorted to a more powerful technique or tried physically stepping through the same barrier that had just shredded a cero, they wouldn't have a direct path of pursuit to stop the injured young man as he retreated to Holika's side to endure the fallout of an attack so far beyond the capabilities of any being he had ever seen that he took it as confirmation she was /not/ human. There was no time to question that, or the strange and unpleasant scent, or anything else.

He had to admit that this opponent was a terrifying monster, one he couldn't have beaten on his own. Apologies, this will leave the burden on you. Akio had instinctively invoked depths of his release normally beyond his reach as he constructed his second arrow; the resulting Heilig Pfeil was a thick metal shaft bearing a single sharp ridge that twisted spiraling coils up the entire length to meet with a wide hexagonal plate at the back of the arrow. It looked almost like a screw. He hadn't even raised his arm at that point and gave no indication of where he intended to aim before a flick of the elbow and wrist pointed the bow directly at the arrancar's foot and released the nocked arrow. Through his own fading barrier if Col hadn't already moved past it, that wouldn't harm the arrow.

If the arrow struck, it would drill through the arrancar and into the floor, pinning them to the spot. If it had missed, Akio would simply have taken over and guided the stray arrow in an upward u-turn that would strike his opponent in the back and screw itself into place unless evaded a second time. If that arrow had struck with either attempt, then it revealed the second property concealed inside, a hurricane of roiling reishi inside the projectile that would disrupt every spiritual pattern it could reach. Passive effects, internal techniques, blessings and curses, all were shredded by the rough-edged spiral and sealed away in its tightly coiled depths. Such had been the results of combining the spiritual destruction of Wirbelsturm with the physically piecing nature of Schraube.

Regardless of how the arrow struck, missed, or was broken, how he guided it or not, Akio used the time that arrow had flown to shift his focus to taking in spirit matter and energy through the cross that bound together his hand and bow. The process of cycling that power into his own was deeply uncomfortable—something he knew was wrong but had been forced into because he already knew he'd lose if he hadn't resorted to it. That necessity hadn't made the guilt he felt any less intense, nor the fear for the consequences that were going to fall on him later.

Well then it appears he was right after all. The tea that just hit his lips the tea that just sunk inside him. It was warm and who drinks warm tea like what the hell. It must be somewhat hot at least. As he looked up to make matters even worse he was fighting alongside a hollow against a even more unholy being a FREE QUINCY. But the attack was on and ready as the battle has just started.

It seems Ghost was the first one to be attacked. But he couldn't help but wonder was it because he was a tea lover? Or because he seem a bit like a push over? Either way both was true but how true was it? Only time could and would tell such a thing. As he looked on he could see the attacks coming his way and the fact that the caster was slower then him could only mean one time. He could end this battle before long. As when he was speaking to the Hollow being that was to be his team mate for this fuel of a duel. His eyes never left the sight of his opponents.

The area of thier battle ground was not at all to big. As a matter of fact it was small and it wouldn't do in most cases. Looking on at the two of them he would notice something. The one on his left raised her right hand. But she said not a word then again she was a Soul Reaper and that meant she could cast spells. But Ghost been around the block enough to know that Soul Reapers could cast spells without saying nor doing much. If the battle started he did not hear a bell or anything. It was just plain rude and no class at all then again. What could one expect of the Shinigami race of beings no Honor at all.

But whatever she was planing on doing he was not going to wait to find out. Because from this distance he was and could be in danger especially if this person was getting ready to attack. However what he did not know is what kind of attack was going nor was he going to find out either. Because if she did not attack him then she just made the wrong move and he was going to punish her for not taking the chance to attack him if anything.

As he pulled out his bow Ghost would look on steadily as he released one arrow. He master this technique as it was his go too. The emperor marks already being on the arrow as it was fired off. Making sure it would be fired not to counter the ending attacks but more or so to by passed them. "Oh dear it seems someone is ready to die." As the white orbs came about The arrow would already be sent out. A pure smile on his face as he guessed the incoming attack. With the arrow flying high it would be sent out with amazing speed. As it shot across the battle field and incoming extremely fast towards his attacker.

What she didn't realize was that Ghost was pone to getting up and close to strike especially for a Quincy. Soon if all went well he would be ten meters behind the opposing team. This was possible thanks to the unique technique Dia-Aufnahme (Slide-Shot). It allows the user to charge up a arrow to fire it off using the shadow bait with it. Allowing the user to move in the shadow of the arrow. However it did not end there as Ghost was now ten meters away and the next part of the attack allowed him to fire off the arrow yet again. Just then he would in fact release his arrow at the opposing duo but this arrow he sent out would explode within one meter of them.
"I do say so my but if we are to fight then you holding back on me will not end well." He would say to them with a calm voice but he had a dire look in his eyes. The arrow exploding would leave a mass meter of ten all around the two targets. "So I was right she can cast spells and she can clearly cast them without speaking talk about a double threat. Oh dear, I may not be able tonread my book after all LUCKY ME."

Description: This technique is made utilizing The Vandenreich shadow tech in conjunction with a Quincy's bow. The technique begins by the Quincy charging an arrow, feeding a high amount of reiatsu as they form a seal within the arrow itself, the seal of his majesty. After firing the arrow, the Quincy vanishes, and is sealed into the arrow's shadow. After the arrow is fired, the Quincy can activate the seal, emerging from the arrow's shadow and reloading the arrow into their bow before firing again. This technique also modifies the nature of the arrow, by modifying the arrow the Quincy can have the arrow mimic their stealth skill up to 1 point.

How to Use: Listed Above.

Incantation: N/A.

Drawbacks: This technique itself costs nothing, but adds a Cost of up to 100 reiatsu, plus the base cost of firing, to the arrow itself for full effect. And while the user cannot be seen during their time in the arrow's shadow, if the arrow is destroyed prematurely, they are immediately ejected and briefly disoriented, keeping them from immediately attacking (though they are still capable of defending if immediately attacked). The stealth aspect of the arrow comes at an extra cost of 50 reiatsu, bringing the total cost to 150+ the Arrow's firing cost.

Holika finished the incantation of her spells far before the Quincy lifted his arm and as his bow was summoned to his hand Ghost would feel the rods of light squeeze along his body’s midsection. The slamming strength of the rods of blinding white light would possibly leave him without breath, the speed and force of them double against the opponent’s physical speed itself. The rods had moved inwards, all moving in a direct line towards the Vandenreich Quincy after having been created in a small circle around him, and bound him in place so that no physical motion could possibly be continued or further made. Holika reached out with her mind, observing the spiritual form of the Vandenreich Quincy as he remained frozen in place in an attempt to counter her attack and felt a smidge of pity at how he had miscalculated. He surely must have felt the strength of her Reiatsu as she attacked, but her mastery over these kido just made her mental processing speed too fast for his body to counter them without possibly using a step technique in response. And now he couldn’t even fire an arrow.

After being frozen in place, the ten points of blazing purple light slammed into the Vandenreich Quincy as he was remaining motionless and helpless to stop them from intercepting him. And as Holika listened she heard the explosion, a booming result of power thrown into the Vandenreich Quincy’s chest and felt the heat on her skin from the energy released upon the explosion. The explosion tore through the floor of the boxing ring and leaving a smoldering pit where the Quincy had stood and could now be found against the edge of the dome, having been blown back from where he was previously standing and farther away from Holika. There were third degree burns marking his chest where the impact originated and his clothes were scorched, the pure white now having smudges of black and gray across them where they still existed. His hair was even dry, leaving split and singed ends on his head. Holika held no pity now for the Quincy and turned her back on him.

With that, she decided to abandon her Gigai and allow it to fly out of the ring from the force of her exodus. Where the gigai had stood now was Holika’s true form, still sealed. Her skin was slick yet dry, a multitude of burns across her entire body seeming to be stretched across thin and sharp bones. Her eyes were no longer present but instead two black pits with a dim light of purple reiatsu shimmering within them. There were burns around her eye sockets, black marks from where she had lost them and essentially her sight. She twisted her neck slightly and tapped her black claws from her toes on the mat of the boxing ring, awaiting the response from the Quincy for a moment and turning her attention very slightly to the other opponent in the ring.

The Arrancar was fast, so fast she was having trouble keeping up with his movements. But that wasn’t entirely it, she began deducting as she sensed over his soul with her mind. She was reading into his core and found, very interestingly that he was a sneaky individual. This was displayed in the ways that his reiatsu moved, being able to see the sword through her energy sensory and how he hid certain maneuvers behind others. Holika needed to figure out how to best serve her ally in this moment but the way he was retaliating against the attack left her for a loss. Her ally was certainly no slouch, proving his worth with the way he maneuvered through the threat of their opponent. Sure, he was cut but he didn’t just sit there and take it.

That was when she felt the surge of Col’s reiatsu, could taste the malice within it as he charge up his cero. She felt it’s monstrous threat and realized she was in the line of fire and would not be able to move fast enough to escape. But then the Quincy of hers did something spectacular and used a spell of his own to create a barrier of icy reiatsu before rejoining her side and possibly bumping into her body as he did. As the cero collided with the barrier she felt it being pulled into it like water down a drain, disappearing into the depths of the barrier. She would lift her left hand and pat him on the head, reflecting over the brilliant move. She was even a little proud to call him a worthy underling. “Boy. No, Akio. Be a dear and make sure the Vandenreich Quincy stays down. I’ll handle him.”

As Holika spoke she would attempt to shove her ally to the side, not having much strength to herself but fearing harm would come to him with her next decision. Hopefully he would have been moved atleast ten feet from her person as her body erupted in a spew of magma, condensing over her form and hardening into basalt skin. Her basalt skin would even shimmer with a beautiful gloss, taking her first release in Saisei Oni, and her clothes would appear at the same time. She wore a chain mail top that ended at her midsection, barely covering her breast and should would have a matching chainmail skirt, both covered in a thin layer of black soot. And then her skin cracked, revealing red hot magma within that pulsated with a heart beat inside.

The chains wrapped around her wrists twirled as she took on her menacing form, a strange aura surrounding her that could be felt by any who were spiritually aware. It exuded a heat that damaged and consumed spiritual energy around her, encapsulating her inside as the origin point for the aura. She was still looking rather thin compared to most women, but she held it without frailty in her stance. Her chains also became enveloped in fire, glowing red with heat along their entire length of 24 feet for each chain. And as she stood there she would sense the current position of the Arrancar, smile, and lift a finger to beckon him forward. “Come and dance with a Queen of Hell. I might even make you my pet after this if you amuse me....”

Interrogation (3) - You are able to interrogate people. A 1 means you can usually get enough information to make educated guesses. A 2 means you can gather even more information, but they won't tell you everything. A 3 means they will likely tell you almost every detail. A 4 means they will tell you everything you need to know provided you have at least a 1 in Charisma/Leadership.

Mental Incantation (4) - It allows the user to cast Kidō with mental incantations rather than vocal. A 1 means they can cast the Kidō wordlessly. A 2 means they can cast Kidō wordlessly and say its incantation mentally for increased effectiveness. A 3 means they can wordlessly cast Kidō and vocally say the incantation afterwards to increase its strength in mid-combat. They can also speak two incantations simultaneously by weaving them together to release two Kidō like the Nijū Eishō style. A 4 means they can do everything mentioned before, but now they can mentally weave two incantations together rather than speak it.

Charisma/Leadership (3) - You are good at leading and getting people to like you by using your boundless energy. You can inspire others and gain their trust. The more points you have, the wider a range of people you can affect. A 4 means you can even convince evil people or those of other factions to join you without much of an issue.

Weapons (Chains) (4) - Most weapon-related non-Release techniques may require a certain Skill Point amount, as well as different fighting styles. A 1 would mean you can use them adequately, as if you've been training for a year or so. A 2 means you've trained for about five years. A 3 means you've achieved a great mastery and have been training for decades. A 4 means you can do almost impossible movements with your weapons with great success.

Pain Tolerance (3) - This is how well you tolerate pain. It only applies to physical pain, not emotional. A 1 means you can tolerate it enough to keep fighting despite minor wounds like cuts or second-degree burns. A 2 means third degree burns and basic slash wounds can be fought through. A 3 means you can ignore the pain of many attacks completely, including strong ones. You can even resist severe torture methods, but extreme ones will break this Skill. A 4 means you can power through any kind of pain so long as they are not extreme torture methods. This does not mean the wounds don't affect you, but simply that the pain they come with can be ignored.

Strength of Will (3) - This is used to resist giving in. You can overpower illusions, drugs, and overcome aversions to pain, hardship, trauma, and fear. You can basically just scream and power through to reach your goal. If you lose your will, the Willpower technique will no longer grant you eternal life. A 1 allows you to resist temptations. A 2 means you can resist drug and alcohol effects and overcome mild pain. A 3 means you can resist torture and power through pain. You will never age or lose your will. A 4 means you become somewhat of a mindless person who ignores everything around them if it means accomplishing their goal, but you will suffer from your wounds afterwards.

Lack of Fear (3) - Your character can either ignore fear or does not feel it at all depending on how many points are given. A 1 means you can ignore things that are mildly scary, like thriller movies. A 2 means you may be able to resist fear, but if you are exposed to it repeatedly, it may overwhelm you. A 3 means you can completely ignore any fears, including your own. A 4 means you feel no fear at all, no matter what. This can be used in tandem with Light Aura to make you unquestionably immune.

Technique Description and Effects:
Holika’s weapons become covered in red flames, making the metal glow red while engulfed in the fires surrounding them. At the first stage the flames are no more than ordinary flames, causing damage to those who come into contact with them. At stage 2 the flames are hotter than ordinary flames, becoming blue and causing damage to those who come into contact with them. At stage 3 Holika’s flames become nearly invisible white flames around her weapons, still afflicting those that come into contact with them, however they cannot be seen on the weapons except by those who have techniques to view spiritual aura or those with energy sensory of at least 200.

At stage 4 the flames are made of her Hellfire, causing similar damage as her aura for as long as they are touching the skin of those with a lower RS than her highest Spiritual Stat. Holika’s weapons also change, becoming covered in black Hellfire flames, leaving the weapons seemingly untouched with the exception of the black and purple flames surrounding them. Those with a higher or equal RS than her highest Spiritual Stat would simply receive damage as if they were normal flames.

At all stages these flames may spread from her weapons and set either the target or the environment on fire. This does not include anything that is non-flammable or water based. The flames will continue to spread five feet per post when the environment is set on fire and the flames are not doused. The damage added to her weapons hitting a target is based on Holika's highest Spiritual Stat.

How to use technique:
Paying 100 reiatsu at form 1, with each form adding to the cost by 50 reiatsu per weapon. As she increases in form she only pays the difference between forms to keep weapons that are already alight lit.

Technique Drawbacks:
The cost of this technique is 100 reiatsu per weapon at base form with an increase of 50 reiatsu per level of her forms. The flames on her weapons can be dosed with water at stages one through three and at the fourth form water and wind based reiatsu attacks may put out the flames.

Technique Name: Burning Body

Technique Description and Effects:
Holika’s body becomes immune to flames of lesser beings, having become a source of Hellfire incarnate. At Primera she immolates all non-water based techniques that do not exceed 50% of her highest Spiritual Stat. At Segunda she immolates all non-water based techniques that do not exceed 75% of her highest Spiritual Stat. At Trecera she immolates all non-water based techniques that do not exceed 100% of her highest Spiritual Stat. At Cuartra her body immolates all non water-based techniques that do not exceed 125% of her highest Spiritual stat. She also becomes immune to all Hellfire-based attacks that do not exceed 100% of her highest Spiritual Stat. Holika can be harmed if the OS of a character using any technique exceeds the aforementioned limits at the appropriate stage of release. This includes a fire based technique.

When a non-water based technique meets the above requirements, the heat from her body surrounded the target technique. Her bodily heat then produces flames around the technique, burning it to a crisp and stopping it's motion, keeping it from touching her body. The flames then expunge the technique from existence, burning it to nothing but ashes that fall to the ground after the immolation has been completed.

How to use technique: This technique is automatically activated upon release and costs 50 reiatsu per post.

When activated, Holika takes damage from Ice and Water based attacks, taking the damage as if it is an additional 50% of OS damage.

1: The chains of Hell torment the denizens endlessly, so why not share the misery? Learning this ability influences the blades, giving them the ability to cut through anything as easily as a normal spiritual blade can, regardless of the chains not changing in appearance, still as rounded as ever. The offensive stat for the chains is based off either the highest Spiritual stat, or the user's Strength stat, whichever is higher. Chains are unable to cut their owner. This is a passive ability, and is unable to be turned off.

2: Through some heavy handed use of reiatsu, the user can extend and manipulate the chains to do as they please. For strength users, the chains will extend upto thirty feet, and will move at either a speed equal to their speed stat, or at a speed of 600. For spiritual users, the size scales off of their highest spiritual stat. For every 50 they have in their higher stat, the chains can extend another foot, and can move at either 600, or the user's speed. Cost is 100 reiatsu every post.]

[Col Arana]

Col was pleased to see his first cut slice a bloody gash along his opponent's torso. A severe wound like that would not close quickly and was one he was certain he could exploit later. His opponent was slow, very slow. A caster-type no doubt. Well. Even with the speed advantage, Col doubted he would score a second strike so easily, and indeed he felt a spike of reiatsu from the Quincy in response to his zwerchau cut. Col was prepared for the counter, and when the frigid wheel sprang into existence, Col pulled his strike up and back over his shoulder into the wrath position, poised to strike again. However, as he felt a layer of frost immediately begin forming across his limbs, the arrancar sprang back ten feet, cutting with his Cero, which it seemed the Quincy had intercepted. Ah. Col thought. So he is like that 8th Division Captain. An ability well suited to negating spiritual powers. However, unlike her, his close quarter defense is somewhat more pitiful. How good to know.

Before Col could decide on his next course of action, he took note of two things. The first was the massive steel screw blasting towards his legs. The second, was that the Hellion's power spiked into something impressive, and had turned her attention on Col. The Arrancar gave an annoyed hiss. I told the Vandenreich to keep her busy. How irritating. It seems I have no choice but to take this ridiculous duo seriously. Holika and Akio both would feel a tremendous surge of power from Col as Akio loosed his arrow.

"Dance, Tarentella!" Col was consumed in a reiatsu as black as tar, with red streaks like blood spilling through it. The arrow crashed through and slammed into Col's leg, and to Akio's eyes appeared to have hit its mark, though it was swallowed up in Col's reiatsu so it was difficult to say for certain. Still, it didn't look like the arrancar had dodged it?


Then out of nowhere, five iron pillars crashed down from the ceiling at high speeds, aiming to slam down on top of Holika and Akio, pinning both of them to the ground under their colossal weight. Not spiritual pillars but actual physical material, and thus (probably) not subject to Akio's ability to disperse spiritual power. Even if avoided though, three of the pillars would crash down between them and Col, masking the results of his release from view, at least for a moment. There would be a moment of silence. And then the sound of static, and, if Akio did not react immediately he would find himself on the receiving end of a series of stab wounds in his back, as Col Sonido'd behind him, and impaled him at extreme close range with not one, but three short-blades emerging from the arrancar's wrists. Col's appearance had changed considerably, now covered in a durable-looking exoskeleton. A bruised mark on his right foot indicated that indeed, Akio's arrow had struck its mark, but had only succeeded in chipping the durable armor, not breaking through it and pinning his foot to the ground as he had hoped. As this defense was not spiritual but physical, it was unlikely Akio's ability to break reiatsu abilities would be able to negate its defensive properties.

But the carapace, although noticeable, was hardly the most notable thing about Col's appearance. There was the matter that the exoskeleton covered most of the arrancar's head, excluding his face, and on his forehead, six eyes rolled wildly in a berserk frenzy. Col's teeth had elongated into deadly needles, and the arrancar now bore six arms, each tipped with a set of four razor sharp talons, and, if the short, double-edged blades vanishing back into his wrists like retractable claws were any indication, also likely had that concealed weapon that could be deployed at will. Col's irises had been wine red before, but now that crimson color spilled out to fill his entire eyes, and his irises were now charcoal gray, with a black slit in place of a pupil. The Arrancar's Resurrection.


A few seconds ago

Col's carapace from his release formed just in time, shielding him from Akio's arrow which struck with such force that indeed, had Col solely relied upon his Hierro it would undoubtedly been pierced straight through. However, Col's carapace, in addition to being a technique of much higher caliber than Hierro, was also even more resistant to damage. Little Akio or Holika could muster, short of attacks which amplified their strength over would be able to punch through and destroy it in a single strike, indeed most opponents Col wielded this armor against were forced to instead aim for vulnerable points-- his exposed face and his joints primarily, or otherwise try to exhaust the former Escudo's release.

With this armor, rather than piercing Col's foot and pinning it, the arrow crashed into it, slamming the foot out from under Col and nearly knocking the arrancar over, the spider only avoiding being prone by his second set of limbs erupting out of his ribs and catching him on the ground. His third set of limbs emerged then too, allowing him to scuttle about like a horrific arachnid, even with his right foot knocked out from under him (which he swiftly corrected). Engulfed in the power of his release, Akio would almost certainly be unable to gauge Col's precise location in that torrent of power, but it was short-lived, and Col knew he had to act quickly. If Akio could disperse spiritual abilities he'd have to deal with him quickly. No doubt his power could differentiate between allies and enemies, allowing his partner to fight at full strength while Col fought with a handicap. No, no, the arrancar needed to deal with him promptly. And he had just the kido for it-- a kido that like Holika had done earlier, Col was casting entirely through thought, rather than telegraph his spell with verbalization.

Bakudo #75: Gochutekkan! Col had to act quickly and while under pressure like this, could not focus for the full incantation. He would have to settle for the basics. His colossal spike of reiatsu, combined with Col's aptitude at stealth, would allow him to mask his kido casting from Holika and Akio, allowing the kido to come out of seemingly nowhere. And then, with their attention on his crashing kido spell, Col would suddenly spring away with his 400 speed, using the iron pillars as cover as he scrambled up and around them like a horrible demonic spider. All he needed was an angle, and his own Energy Sensory, could pin down Akio's location. He was next to his partner but that was no matter.... All he needed was a split-second.

Col clambered over the top, and then, poking only the top half of his head around the pillar's upper section to pinpoint Akio's location, launched into Sonido. And the rest... well.


Whether successful in stabbing Akio or not, Col would then spring away from the two back about seven feet, readying his next action, as he contemplated his next move. Hopefully the Quincy would be thoroughly stabbed. A slight purple fluid dripped from his talons, indicating the toxin that a successful strike would have just injected the Quincy with, three separate times. In the unlikely event a vital organ was not stabbed by Col's strike, then the toxin would rapidly begin to take effect and begin slowing Akio considerably, towards horrible paralysis.

"A dance you say? How fitting indeed. Very well. I shall humor your request, "your majesty". It's the least I can do for the gift you've given me. I've been plotting regicide for some time, it would do well to have some practice at it."

{Col's Venom}
Poison—Col exudes a dangerous hemotoxin from his very body when he fights. He produces this toxin from three specific points, those being his claws, his fangs, and from the blades protruding from his wrists. Once injected into his targets bloodstream it will begin to cause a numbness throughout their body that will eventually result in complete paralysis. Accompanying this will be stiffness and a sluggishness in motion, preceding the paralysis. With every post, starting the second post after injection, someone afflicted by Col’s poison will lose 10% of their maximum speed with every post. After ten posts, the target will become completely paralyzed. Col is able to accelerate this by repeatedly injecting the poison. With every additional injection, whether it be through bite, blade or claw, it will require one less post to reach full paralysis (so, for example, if someone is wounded by one of Col’s wrist blades twice, it will take 9 posts to reach full paralysis, if wounded three times, then 8, and so on and so-forth).



A 1 in Poison Resistance will increase the amount of time it takes to become fully paralyzed by 2 posts, and an afflicted target will stop slowing down after they have hit 1/3 their original speed. A 2 in Poison Resistance will require 15 posts for full paralysis and will stop slowing down once they have reached half their original speed. Someone with a 3 in Poison Resistance cannot be paralyzed by this ability, and will stop losing speed at 75% of their original total. Any individual with a 2 or higher in Poison resistance or an equivalent skill will find the poison wear off two posts after it fulfills its full effects.

From Akio's point of view, Holika had just shoved him out of the way of an iron pillar, effectively defending him even if that hadn't been the actual intention behind the gesture. Her choice to pat his head had been more confusing than anything to do with the sudden attack from above. In his normal frame of mind, Akio would have been silently suffering through it, repulsed by even that minor bit of physical affection, and his released self would have accepted the praise eagerly while getting no satisfaction whatsoever from it. The current version of him was having the worst of both extremes, starved for contact and thoroughly displeased by getting it. And while he had silently forgiven Holika for her touch, he really did need a better defense against people just reaching out and laying hands on him, especially that hollow in human shape.

During the time it took to get his footing back after the shove, Akio had drawn in the reishi to construct a full-size bow and ready five arrows. He felt a third property settle its affectionate coils around his soul as the bow finished manifesting, a familiar one this time. He loosed the whole volley of screw-like arrows as soon as they were fully formed, letting them orbit around his body at arm's length, spaced out vertically to stay level with the head, shoulder, waist, knee, and ankle. Each heilig pfeil continued to circle, three traveling clockwise and two anti-clockwise in an alternating pattern around the quincy at the typical speed for such projectiles, growing a fraction of a centimeter closer to him with each loop. The firing property meant that he hadn't needed to guide them to maintain the defense, but he could always put in the extra effort if he saw anything incoming. 

Akio understood the nature of his bow release, or at least he thought he did, and he did not expect his opponents to have that level of insight after only seeing two properties. It wasn't anything to do with dispersal or negation; it was about having a coiling shape, snakes, climbing vines, screws, wind and water, coiled arrows containing swift flowing coiling currents inside, wrapping around his body in protective coils. That lack of understanding on the opponent's part had to make up for what he hadn't known about them. He'd set a layer of defense up without knowing where Col was or if the arrancar even had any intentions to try and close in again, even so it would serve just as well against anything the quincy opponent tried. Strudel lasted long enough that it could be used as a deterrent and didn't care about details like what direction an attack came from. He had only aimed for the joints because that ensured the best chance of twisting his opponent's body out of position on a hit.

If even one arrow were allowed to pierce the gaps in Col's carapace, it wouldn't dissappear as most quincy projectiles would after impact; it would stay there, wrenching whatever part of the Arrancar was hit along the reverse of its flight path, tugging from behind their armored hide with a force of 1600, making it doubtful the spider had enough physical strength to avoid revolving around the quincy's bow unless they could break the arrow or remove the wounded limb. Potentially even pulling him into the path of the other four arrows, each additional hit adding an equally strong pull until they restrained the former escudo's movements to helplessly levitating in circles, caught on the edge of a semi-metaphorical whirlpool. That all five contained the technique-disrupting version of Wirbelsturm only made it harder to defend against further arrows with each that found its mark. All to say that while Akio had no way to actually stop Col from hitting with all three hands, it had been well within his abilities to make doing so viscerally unpleasant for the arrancar to do it.

In the moment that his hand left the bowstring, Akio had started the long-term version of Hirenkyaku and began a sliding dash towards the edge smoldering crater that contained Ghost at triple his normal speed. The shield of revolving arrows followed alongside him; the firing property's coiling pattern was relative to the bow's position rather than the place he'd been standing when he loosed them. His plan had been to take in more energy through the cross as he traveled, get a good angle on the quincy opponent once he was in position, and ultimately use another volley of arrows to pin them to the floor. Col's sonido-enforced movement cut that plan off early into the process; three blows landed on the young man's back easily, if not as deep as they would have been were he not sliding across the floor at a speed of 600 at the time. He hadn't been able to defend himself, and the effects of the venom set in within seconds. The pain was too much to retaliate; maybe he could have done something against another opponent, but the arrancar's hands and venom both burned just by touching him. That attack had been a death sentence for Akio—not an instant one, but not a particularly slow one either. The poor imitation of what a real quincy was like slid a few meters more before he crumpled to the floor. So this is hollow poisoning. I lost.

But landing those three hits had thrown Col directly into the path of the arrows and forced them to defend against the wave with three hands buried in Akio's back. Three on the spider's right, two on the left, four aimed for joints, and one for the head, all primed to lock into place and begin dragging the arrancar into the path of more arrows the moment they hit a vulnerable point. If enough hit that they could completely dictate Col's movements, Akio would turn what was left of his attention to guiding them, twisting limbs in opposite directions and holding the arrancar immobile for as long as he'd be able to. Hearing Holika's claims of being a queen of hell gave him some confidence that she would know what to do to a restrained opponent.

[Ghost Fenyx]

Yep there it goes there went his cup tea. If there was one thing Ghost disliked more then cold tea or even nasty tea. It was the idea of spilled tea. How cruel can one be to do such an act. Even the Father of the Quincy would be ashamed. As he was pinned up because a demon decides to used kido on him. But what is this pain he was feeling? It felt like fire was burning him while he was being pinned down. Ghost would feel his blood start to come out.

"This attack is somewhat strong as it was able to burn right through me. "But this is not the end of me not now not ever." Ghost would start to laugh a bit while the fire burned him. However he was all too prepared as the kido started to turn into Reiatsu itself. As Ghost started to activate his own spell. The flames would start to go away. As his blood came out of him it would start to form am arrow of its own. But what was more important was that they took there eyes off of him how foolish could they be.

They must have taken it upon themselves that it was game over for poor Ole Ghost. But if this is a game of tag and if he is it. Then all he needs to do is simply give a hit of his own. Now that he has activated Glänzendes Blutgras (Shining Blood Grass). The part of his body that was burning would simply melt away. As anything foreign on him would turn to reishi and that very reishi and blood would sink into the ground at 5000 speed. Although he was feeling pain he had a smile on his face and that is because he knew his majesty was with it and there is no greater pain then shaming the All Father name.

Akio was no more then two meters from Ghost and on that note he was nearly in a straight line in front of him. He was such an easy target to off. As Ghost slowly lifted his head up he could see something was off with that Quincy. But his eyes would stare at the demon spawn as he ready the arrow. She was no more then 3 meters from her teammate which makes her about five meters from Ghost laying body. He would fire off his arrow at 2400 speed a speed which could not be Dodged especially when he is striking her at her blind side. As he would activate his Fire Porperty just to be sure. As he was getting on his feet he would fire off the arrow straight at the She Demon. Aiming to hit her right in the chest where her heart should be. Hoping to hit her right in the back.
He was not nearly done as he sent 2 arrow shots off at the other Quincy which was moving at 800 speed. Upon the arrows getting within one meter of him he would cause the arrows to explode which would cause an explosion at 5 meters tall and diameters. "Well....I...must say what a terrible way to start my day."

Technique Name: Glänzendes Blutgras (Shining Blood Grass)

Usable By: Vandenreich Quincy.

Technique Element: Spirit.

Technique Cost: Varies.

Description: This technique is an emergency technique created for the Vandenreich. When an enemy manages to break the flesh and cause blood to spill, this blood, for a brief moment, can become a sudden weapon. Once a wound has been freshly opened, this technique immediately obliterates the flesh and blood that has come into contact with whatever it is that has injured the Quincy, shredding it into fine reiatsu and obliterating any poisons or negative effects that may otherwise have spread into the Quincy's body as a result of the injury by sacrificing the layers of flesh around it, almost like showing a hot iron into the wound. This fine Reishi then instantly sinks into the ground at a speed of 5000 where it forms a bow exactly ten feet below the Quincy's feet (typically this is underground but if the Quincy is up in the air this may just be floating in the air) before firing a single arrow upward at triple the normal speed for an arrow (2400).

Incantation: N/A.

Drawbacks: This technique depletes a considerable amount of blood and causes pain to the Quincy. The arrow itself is paid mostly in blood rather than reiatsu, however this technique can be forced even if injury is not sustained, but for a solid 300 reiatsu, though this will burn a hole in the user to execute it. This technique can only be used a maximum of 3 times per thread, refreshed after a long rest (increased by 1 times for each point in Bleeding Tolerance or Damage Recovery the user has). Executing the technique normally as a result of injury costs 100 reiatsu (Reduced by converting some flesh and blood into Reishi).

With Holika’s back to the Vandenreich Quincy, she would lift her head, sensing a strong reiatsu coming from him. But the source of where it was going was not his body, but instead approximately ten feet beneath him. And Holika also mentally observed the body of the Vandenreich Quincy, Ghost, removed layers of his flesh from wherever on his body Holika’s Kido had hit which had been his entire body. She was simply horrified by the technique that was being used by the Quincy as his blood and flesh ripped from all over his body and down into the ground, effectively leaving a husk of a man with minor bits of muscular tissue and sinew. ‘He might still be alive,’ Holika thought to herself as she felt his spiritual energy beginning to fade and activated her step technique, Placidus. She had only meant to get over to his position and quickly remove him from the fight, but as she disappeared from the realm of the living, the arrow of blood and sinew that the Quincy had sacrificed for passed through the empty space where Holika had originally been standing. Where Holika had also been standing was where the Kido the Arrancar Col had produced slammed into the ground, being slammed into by the arrow fired by Ghost and clashing against one another. The space had been left void with a sudden screaming and mewling from the sinners of Hell as Holika had disappeared, possibly blinding and shocking those watching the display.

When Holika reappeared she would be standing beside the Vandenreich Quincy, her full display being present as the screams of Hell emanated around her, heralding her return. As she appeared, she would release the chain from her left hand and mentally controlling the chain to speed at the Quincy, standing just five feet from his body and moving the chain to wrap around the neck of the Quincy to slice his head from his body. The constriction and speed of the sharp chains would move to bisect the points of exposed muscle on his neck and the spine hidden within to remove his skull at the base and leave the rest of his muscle exposed body to fall to the ground, motionless and dead should the attack hit him. If he somehow dodged the attack and remained this close to her body, he would feel the blistering burning on the exposed muscles of his body from Holika’s aura, crisping the muscle and leaving him in even further pain and possibly crippling him in response.

Holika would, after finishing off her opponent of the Vandenreich Quincy, turn to where she felt the fading essence of her partner as he slid across the ground, full of a poison that Holika could not detect. She did not see the poison dripping from Col's weapons either, only seeing the spiritual energy of his blades being a literal extension of his body and sensing the nefarious ideas of poison coming from his aura. She sniffed and lifted her nose at the idea and tsked in Col's direction. "Using poisons? I thought better of you... I'd have brought you in as my plaything but now I know your value is beneath that. But now I know of a far better use for you... A trophy for my throne!" As Holika yelled out, she would express her spiritual energy outward, letting a darkness flow from her, pouring out and beginning to surround her body. The Black Fog surged from Holika's chest, encompassing five feet around her body and covering up to her waist as it emerged from her, already beginning to suck the reiatsu from her and her possibly dying enemy of the vandenreich Quincy. But she smiled, knowing full well this spider would not be able to touch her now.

Interrogation (3) - You are able to interrogate people. A 1 means you can usually get enough information to make educated guesses. A 2 means you can gather even more information, but they won't tell you everything. A 3 means they will likely tell you almost every detail. A 4 means they will tell you everything you need to know provided you have at least a 1 in Charisma/Leadership.

Mental Incantation (4) - It allows the user to cast Kidō with mental incantations rather than vocal. A 1 means they can cast the Kidō wordlessly. A 2 means they can cast Kidō wordlessly and say its incantation mentally for increased effectiveness. A 3 means they can wordlessly cast Kidō and vocally say the incantation afterwards to increase its strength in mid-combat. They can also speak two incantations simultaneously by weaving them together to release two Kidō like the Nijū Eishō style. A 4 means they can do everything mentioned before, but now they can mentally weave two incantations together rather than speak it.

Charisma/Leadership (3) - You are good at leading and getting people to like you by using your boundless energy. You can inspire others and gain their trust. The more points you have, the wider a range of people you can affect. A 4 means you can even convince evil people or those of other factions to join you without much of an issue.

Weapons (Chains) (4) - Most weapon-related non-Release techniques may require a certain Skill Point amount, as well as different fighting styles. A 1 would mean you can use them adequately, as if you've been training for a year or so. A 2 means you've trained for about five years. A 3 means you've achieved a great mastery and have been training for decades. A 4 means you can do almost impossible movements with your weapons with great success.

Pain Tolerance (3) - This is how well you tolerate pain. It only applies to physical pain, not emotional. A 1 means you can tolerate it enough to keep fighting despite minor wounds like cuts or second-degree burns. A 2 means third degree burns and basic slash wounds can be fought through. A 3 means you can ignore the pain of many attacks completely, including strong ones. You can even resist severe torture methods, but extreme ones will break this Skill. A 4 means you can power through any kind of pain so long as they are not extreme torture methods. This does not mean the wounds don't affect you, but simply that the pain they come with can be ignored.

Strength of Will (3) - This is used to resist giving in. You can overpower illusions, drugs, and overcome aversions to pain, hardship, trauma, and fear. You can basically just scream and power through to reach your goal. If you lose your will, the Willpower technique will no longer grant you eternal life. A 1 allows you to resist temptations. A 2 means you can resist drug and alcohol effects and overcome mild pain. A 3 means you can resist torture and power through pain. You will never age or lose your will. A 4 means you become somewhat of a mindless person who ignores everything around them if it means accomplishing their goal, but you will suffer from your wounds afterwards.

Lack of Fear (3) - Your character can either ignore fear or does not feel it at all depending on how many points are given. A 1 means you can ignore things that are mildly scary, like thriller movies. A 2 means you may be able to resist fear, but if you are exposed to it repeatedly, it may overwhelm you. A 3 means you can completely ignore any fears, including your own. A 4 means you feel no fear at all, no matter what. This can be used in tandem with Light Aura to make you unquestionably immune.

Technique Description and Effects:
1: The chains of Hell torment the denizens endlessly, so why not share the misery? Learning this ability influences the blades, giving them the ability to cut through anything as easily as a normal spiritual blade can, regardless of the chains not changing in appearance, still as rounded as ever. The offensive stat for the chains is based off either the highest Spiritual stat, or the user's Strength stat, whichever is higher. Chains are unable to cut their owner. This is a passive ability, and is unable to be turned off.

2: Through some heavy handed use of reiatsu, the user can extend and manipulate the chains to do as they please. For strength users, the chains will extend upto thirty feet, and will move at either a speed equal to their speed stat, or at a speed of 600. For spiritual users, the size scales off of their highest spiritual stat. For every 50 they have in their higher stat, the chains can extend another foot, and can move at either 600, or the user's speed. Cost is 100 reiatsu every post.]

Technique Description and Effects:
This is the Akki step technique. While Akki can use step techniques from other races, this technique is particularly devastating because it belongs to them. This is the unique Akki ability for stepping.

What this technique does is allow the Akki to phase briefly in and out of their current plain of existence. In other words, they momentarily disappear, blinking out of existence. As they do, a flash of black explodes outwards. Anyone that witnesses them blinking out of existence will suddenly see nothing but blackness for that split second. It is hardly enough to affect the battle, but rather it is theatrical. The Akki, during that brief second, is gone, and cannot be attacked. This is a direct "teleportation," unlike Shunpo or Sonido, which are merely fast movement.

Averagely, this is performed at 15x the user's speed, making it one of the fastest individual steps. It is also known to be able to move forwards within three small steps rather than one. It can also be done for one. If done in three, the same distance is covered in three smaller steps, creating a theatrical flash of black with each appearance and disappearance. Additionally, there is a flash of white light when the Akki reappears and blinks back into existence. Any who witness this flash of light will suddenly see hallucinations of horrible monstrosities and new body features on the Akki in question that uses this technique, and their fear of the individual will increase.

How to use technique:
Like all step techniques, this one requires a simple step as well. It is done for 200 reiatsu per use, which is why most Akki prefer to use the steps of other races. It is an expensive step technique, but is easily one of the most powerful.

Technique Fluff: [Those who fear the darkness are wise. Evil in its most primal form thrives in the shadows, always on the edge of the light. But while it is rare when the shadows of the underworld touch the land of the living, the results are always spoken of for generations. The Black Fog is an ability generated by those who have seen the proverbial void, and gazed into it. These people are those with hearts blacker than most, and live in perpetual chaos, misery, and hate. Those who use this technique are often those who have given up on life, and have let themselves fall into despair, or have done so at least once in their existence. This ability was made to show that, no matter how much hope there is the world, and no matter how happy the world becomes, evil will never leave the hearts of mankind, and will always linger. The darkest shadows linger behind the brightest lights.

The Black Fog is generated from the soul of the user, spilling from their chests, completely enshrouding their lower bodies in a mist of darkness at all times. From there, the fog begins to spread over the ground, seemingly consuming it, with the top of it lingering three feet above it. The Black Fog is thick to the point where no light can ever pierce it, consuming it in its entirety. The mist does more than feed off the light however. The shadows absorb all forms of energy that come into contact with it, be it heat, light, or reiatsu. Especially reiatsu.

The air above the fog is quickly drained of any lingering reiatsu, preventing anyone from creating airground platforms of any kind, as well as preventing any stepping abilities. However, those who stand in the blackened air start to suffer from the effects of this immediately. The moment anyone comes into contact with it will quickly lose their power, before fading away beneath the darkness, never to be seen again.

But this isn't what makes this ability so feared, although that is a part of it. The darkness is a sponge for souls, but it doesn't let that energy go to waste. Once it has absorbed enough souls, this ability starts to create monsters. Often titanic beings of pure hate and rage emerge from the shadows, climbing out of the nothing, existing for only destruction. The monsters can take on many forms, ranging from ogers, wolves, or even the well known dragon. These creatures stand anywhere from seven feet in height, to a towering fifty.

The being are extremely durable as well, needing the strongest of champions to slay them. The Black Fog naturally doesn't harm them, and are immune to the effects of it. No matter their shape, these creatures are only as smart as an animal, beatial in thought, maybe as smart as a lion.

All the air above the mist is stripped of reiatsu, no matter the distance. Any ability that touches the fog is absorbed, so long as the offensive stat is lower than the user's, adding the reiatsu used for the ability to the reiatsu counter.]


Technique Effects:

A Black mist spills out of the user's chest, quickly covering the ground around them, hovering two feet off the lowest surface. The Mist spreads five feet per post, times how many posts it has been active. 1 post equals five feet, 2 is ten, 3 fifteen, and so on. The air above the Black Fog cannot be used for any form of airground above it. Anyone in the fog loses 250 reiatsu per post, and loses the same amount just by touching it. Non- spiritual humans, plants, and animals die instantly when they come into contact with the fog.

Any techs used while inside the fog will charge the fog by half the amount paid for the original tech. Once the fog has collected 500 reiatsu, the user can summon a creature of the writer's choice to attack or cause general chaos. The user is also able to wait, and have the fog store its reiatsu in order to summon multiple beasts at once. The creature does not obey the caster, nor is it affected by the draining effects of the fog.

The stats of the creatures are always 800 strength, 400 speed, and 150 in all sensory stats, with 800 durability. The user is able to pay 500 in order to charge the mist. The Cost to maintain is 100 reiatsu, and is used to charge the fog. Fog lasts three posts after the user stops paying for it, and is unable to summon beasts after they stop.

Technique Drawbacks: [The Black Fog, cannot be thrown around like a weapon, and will only remain on the ground, and around the user's lower body. Kicking with the fog around their legs will not drain opponents of reiatsu. The user is not immune to the draining effects of the fog, and is drained every post. [Col Arana]

Col wasn't paying his teammate much mind at this juncture, having already written him off and assuming he would have to battle both adversaries himself. His Kido spell had not successfully struck anyone but it had at least provided the arrancar cover to launch his attack on Akio, which, it seemed was successful. With... admittedly some caveats. Col's additional eyes had taken note of the rapidly spiraling arrows. Although Col knew the arrows could not pierce his carapace, they struck with considerable force, and to his chagrin, the arrancar noted that his opponent had multiple arrows flying at levels that would risk (although not guarantee) a direct hit at the arrancar's joints.

Ordinarily, the arrancar might have taken a probing strike and then backed off, but he could not afford to do so. The longer the Quincy stayed in play, the more difficult he would make fighting the Hellion. While Col was certain he could crush either of them individually, together the duo would be entirely formidable, and Col was prepared to accept a certain... lack of elegance, and some pain if it meant dispatching the Quincy quickly. His blades snapped and punctured Akio's back. He'd avoided wounds that were inherently fatal it seemed, but it didn't matter. Killing him outright would have been nice. As it was though, the Quincy was already a dead man walking. With three doses of Col's venom in him, Akio would already begin to feel it. A stiffening in the joints, a tightness in the muscles that made movement difficulty. Spider venom, although it could indeed be fatal, was not always necessarily so. A Spider's venom was used to immobilize its prey so the spider could safely feed. And that is exactly what Col's venom did. Akio would gradually lose more and more speed as movement became more and more difficult, until eventually he would be completely immobilized and unable to move. And with three successive applications of the venom, the time it would normally take to take full effect was reduced (from 10 posts to 8). If the Hollow poisoning didn't kill him first.

Of course while that was lovely it was hardly all sunshine and roses. There was a bit of a storm cloud on this bright and sunny day. Five particular storm clouds in fact. Col had committed to striking Akio down, and so the best he could manage was to mitigate the incoming arrows. He could not avoid them entirely. He'd struck with three of his limbs, but that still left three more he could respond with. His eyes tracking the arrow coming for his head, he immediately raised one of his remaining forearms into the path of the arrow. His other limbs flicked out to intercept the path of two more, a partially crouched position allowing the arrancar to protect his ankles and knees. That left two remaining arrows he could not easily intercept mid-attack. He could, however, make other small adjustments. A shift of his body posture at the last moment would result in an arrow that otherwise would have pierced below his right shoulder, instead slamming into the arrangar's carapace covered upper shoulder, causing a blow that would otherwise have pierced straight through to instead cause Col to shunt to one side forcefully, but manageably, and without having his arm suffer a wound. The final arrow however, pierced through the elbow joint of one of the limbs stabbing into Akio as Col drew it back, screwing itself into place and attempting to wreck Col along for the right. The arrancar took a split second to respond, hissing in pain, not just as the arrow caused him to lurch along its path, but also because of a split moment he was disoriented by the four other resounding explosions of sound as Akio's arrows slammed relentlessly into his defenses, being stopped or deflecting off the arrancar's carapace.

Col seethed with pain, but he was able to gather himself. The arm had to go. Akio was proving a true menace, but at least he was done now, as long as Col could create distance from the soon to be immobilized Quincy. Col was momentarily dragged along the ground by the rotating arrow. But he wasn't out and helpless yet. With a snap of his withdrawing arm, the wrist blade still wet with Akio's blood, the blade retracting into his wrist, Col flexed the hand and a thick durable strand of spider-webs sprang out and stuck itself to the arena floor, immediately drawing taut. Col's clawed feet dug into the ground as best as he could, holding his position. The limb pierced by the screw-like arrow was cast out to its fullest length, and, targeting the joint there was no hope for the limb, as it was wrenched into an impossible position by its circular path. There was a crack as Col's elbow broke. The arrancar's pupils dilated to pinpricks with the pain and he snarled in agony. "You wretch." It took a moment, as the tension between Col's body, Akio's arrow and Col's webs all battled for supremacy as to which was the weakest point. In the end, with the gap in his carapace exploited, it was ultimately Col's arm, which gave way, tearing asunder, as Akio's screw-like arrow tore through the joint, leaving a dangling and useless limb, only held on by a few ligaments.

Col broke off his web and sprang away now, his body thundering in pain, as he regathered himself. The pain was too great for him to immediately attack back, having all but lost one of his six arms, and the arrancar needed a moment to recuperate. He noticed Holika was doing something as well, but no, Col needed to retreat for the moment. Assess. Push past the pain.

The arrancar's additional six eyes swiveled to look at the black fog through the red haze of pain the arrancar was experiencing. He was unfamiliar with the technique but he expected entering the fog carelessly would be a mistake. Still recovering, attack was pointless, and Col was forced to retreat back again, away from the encroaching fog whilst he recovered. But not so far back, that he could not hear Holika's response. The arrancar's eyes narrowed, pupils still dilated from the pain but he gathered sufficient strength to answer.

"Victory is victory, my dear." He hissed low, barely restraining his rage. "Whether it come in noble combat, or a blade in the dark, or other dishonorable means. Elegance and grace is well and good when it can be achieved, but as they say. History is written by the victor." The anger crept back into his eyes now as a throb of pain surged from the dangling limb.

"And I look forward to consigning this part to a footnote."
