Physical Description:
Her slender build and height of nearly short of being five foot tall tends to cause a lot of confusion about her. She is often mistaken for a child, even though she has long since out grown those years. Her muscles are toned from years of training, yet she remains incredibly flexible, which seemed to be almost natural for her. Long purple hair that is normally tied back into a high pony tail by red ribbon. Her eyes seem a rather odd shade of purple, almost like gem stones while her skin is pale from lack of exposure to the sun's light.
In her Shinigami attire, she has modified the sleeves by removing them entirely from her shihakushou and instead wears cloth like arm guards that cover from the back of her hands up to just shy of the shoulder joints, and the sash tied behind her instead of the normal having it tied in the front like most shinigami have theirs. Her zanpakuto sits sheathed behind her, at her waist, tucked into her sash. Her black hakama pants are always tucked into a pair of black tabi boots, causing the fabric to puff around her legs. Attached at her hip is a leather bag, containing a variety of ninja tools, such as kunai, shuriken and even caltrops.

Dislikes:
- Disorganization - She hates when things are left in a chaotic mess, and instead would rather take the time to clean it up properly than to leave it be.
- Last Minute Changes In Plans - Akatsuki would rather have a plan for her day made, instead of having things change drastically and ruin her plans.
- Being Referred To As A Child - While looking so young can have advantages, she hates being referred to as a child and this is a quick way to make her angry or even try to hit someone.
- Dealing With Drunks - Having had dealt with a number of rude or handsy drunks, she hates being around them and hearing them talk about their problems. She typically thinks that most people are just incredibly annoying when they are drunk and would rather not deal with them if she can help it.
- Cleaning Up Other People's Messes - While being a stickler for a clean area, she hates her urge to clean up and will make sure to scold the person responsible for the mess as a way to let out all of her frustrations from having to clean up after them.
- Spicy Food - Akatsuki has no tolerance for spicy food, as such has grown to absolutely hate anything spicy.
Likes:
- Red Bean Bread - This is easily among her favorite snacks to have, so much so that there may be been times others may have off loaded duties onto her in exchange for several of them in return.
- Tea - In her view this is the best drink to go along with her favorite snack when she can find a quiet place to enjoy both, she can be found at her happiest.
- Learning New Things - Akatsuki is generally curious about a lot of things she doesn't know or had experience with, as such she finds this curiosity causing her to ask questions or even ask for a chance to learn what has got her attention.
- Reading - She enjoys having her down time and reading a book when she's able to.
- Cute Animals - She has a soft spot for any animal that are small, cute, and furry.

- Lacking Confidence - She doesn't see herself at her true potential, and feels like it would only hold others back. She's trying to get past this obstacle of hers.
- Oblivious To Compliments - She has a negative image of herself, and as such does not accept compliments given to her.
- Being Short - Her lack of height has caused her a lot of problems, ranging from people calling her short, confusing her to be younger than she is, to the obvious issues of not being able to reach things over her.

- Being Too Honest - There are times where she can be too honest and say what's on her mind before taking a moment to think over what she says.
- Tries To Stay Distant - She tries to keep others distant to an extent, worried that she might end up letting them down.
- Always Looking Serious - She doesn't intend to do this, but between how she acts and talks. It seems like she tries to stay formal most of the time, mostly because she wants to make a good impression.

- Failure - She's afraid of ending up being a hinderance to others, and this could cause her to push herself too far at times.
- Being Lied To - Carrying a hidden fear of being lied to or used, she tries to remain cautious and wants to know if people have ulterior motives. Because of this, it's hard for her to trust people right away, but there seem to be a few who have gained her trust.

Overall Personality:
Akatsuki is normally pretty quiet around large groups of people, unless she feels the need to speak up. She's loyal to a fault and prefers to avoid large crowds or noisy places. She would much rather prefer the peaceful silence by a lake rather than the loud parties down at the bars. She is rather sensitive about her height, even though she is actually an adult, and it can cause her to get angered easily. That and her general dislike of open perverts. She instead favors the role of stealth, using her size to her advantage in order to get into small places. Sometimes she even regards her lack of height as a mixed blessing.
She is a studious sort, and tends to frequent the library often during her free time. This helped her get good grades when it came to her time in the academy, where she focused on applying her studies of Kido with how to incorporate her Ninjutsu fighting style. Akatsuki has a fond enjoyment of eating red bean bread and mochi with green tea. While she enjoys her snacks, she can't really handle spicy food. She's also a bit of keen on keeping her pouch stocked with ninja tools to be able to help her when she needs them at a moments notice. With her quiet nature, she's found herself always being cautious around most people that she didn't know that well. With her having a negative perspective on her own looks, she figured it would be best that she sticks with the goal of aiming for a squad that would keep her out of the spotlight, since she hates being put on display. Yet, if she's given praise by someone she actually trusts then it makes her really happy to hear that.
To most who don't know her well, she can seem like she's being cold or aggressive towards them. It's just her way of trying to prevent herself from dealing with any sort of lies or hurt from them down the road until she feels that she can actually trust them. She's more the sort to rely on experience and intuition than to give blind faith.

-Powers-
Fighting Style: Her fighting style is one based on mixing the aspects of fighting learned from the Academy and what she retained of her knowledge of Ninjutsu. She would rather mix up her attacks to throw an opponent of their balance to create openings to deal the most damage she can. This would include the using of different ninja tools that she would keep stored on her bag normally, but given that she isn't able to carry that around in most cases, she's resorted to learn how to employ the use of kido skills to help create favorable scenarios in fights. With that in mind, she tries to avoid a straight forward fight, but instead to focus on trying to catch targets off guard or even unaware if possible.
While her focus is in stealth attacks, she's not above using skilled strikes with her fists and legs to fight in close quarters if needed. Given her size and training, she's been known to rely on her flexibility and speed to try to be as evasive as possible. For what she lacks in straight out strength, she makes up for with her agility and focus on trying to capitalize on openings to inflict the most damage as possible. Her wielding of her zanpakuto can variate between the traditional style of holding it and reverse grip, depending on what attacks she's planning on using.
When it comes to unarmed combat, she's more reliant on ability to deliver strong and fast kicks. Her punches may not have much power behind them, but when in combination with kido, she will try to find a way to be able to adapt as her situation in a fight changes. If the fighting should seem hopeless, she would debate changing tactics to include figuring out the best way to pull a tactical retreat or change of area.
Zanpakutou Spirit Appearance:[/b] A young beautiful woman dressed in a deep blue kimono, almost as if she was born to a higher class. She appears to look fairly elegant in her appearance, with pale skin and eyes that seem more like jewels than actual eyes. Her eyes were the color of sapphire, and around the edges of her face were light blue scales that seemed to frame her face, as well as a small patch of scales on the bridge of her nose. Her lips were colored blue. Two curved horns grow from the sides of her head, curving and going back and up, with a small curve up at the tips. She has fairly long nails on her fingers and are sharp, resembling the claws of the dragon. She is well endowed in her chest, which is the complete opposite of Akatsuki. Tucked away in her white sash is a folded fan and a wakazashi blade.
Inner World(Optional):[/b] A small shrine that seems to be built of rising pillars above what seems to be reflective water all around. There are traditional arch ways that lead away in the four main directions, but the far off distance is obscured by a thick mist that is impossible to see through clearly. The smell of incense can be smelt burning from within the shrine, as Watatsumi sits upon her ornate throne within.
Zanpakutou Appearances:
- Sealed Form - A small ornate wakazashi sized blade, with ornate depictions of water on a dark blue wooden sheath. The hilt of the blade is wrapped with a blue fabric, with the tsuba being square in shape with engraved waves within the bronze colored metal.
- Shikai Form - Arm mounted retractable blade that is able to pop out and retract at her will. The blade can split apart with a three prong of blades, to catch blades and make wounds harder to heal. The case in which the blade retracts is ornate in decoration with a watery theme design and tassels hanging off the end that rests near her elbow. This is a rather close range fighting blade.
- Bankai Form - A fairly large curved sickle style blade that also has a sharp edge along the outside edge of the blade. The hilt still wrapped in blue fabric, but at the base it has a large round piece of metal. At first glance, it doesn't seem like much, however since there are three blades stacked, it can fan out into a large shuriken with sickle like blades.

Overall Ability: Watatsumi's domain is the element of water, using it to create or manipulate at will. Watatsumi's power is centered in the element of water, an element that can create and destroy life. As such, it's power is to command water to do it's bidding, whether it be to create torrents to impact, create a mist to create cover, or to even manipulate water in ways meant to be useful in combat or assassinations. With this, it can be used to manipulate water to create a weak clone that turns back to water upon impact if used, and even to manipulate water into a sphere to try and capture a target while trying to drown them.
Shikai Overall Ability: Using reishi to generate water near Akatsuki that would be used to be manipulated by Watatsumi. Reishi is drawn from the surrounding air, converting it into water that pours from the hanging tassel of the arm mounted blade.

Technique Description and Effects:
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.
How to use technique:
Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.

Technique Description and Effects: Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through. This lasts for one post, but by paying the cost of the spell a second time, the duration is increased to two posts.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and touch an object, channeling electricity through it.
Incantation and Effect: Incantation unknown. When the incantation is spoken, the number of active posts this is used for is doubled. (With maximum cost, this can be up to four posts.)

History:
Growing up in the Sengoku period did not allow her a chance to grow up with a normal child hood. She was instead born into a village of ninja and from when she was old enough to play with the other children, was the day she began her training in the arts. Like every other child, it was arranged as if they were playing games, but instead it was all designed to prepare their bodies for the harsh training when they got older. Her mother had died during child birth, and was thus raised by her father and her aunt as her only living family. She showed much promise in her abilities in regards to balance, speed, and stealth.
Around the age of eight-teen, she was finally sent off on a mission of her own. To sneak into an occupied village and obtain information on how many soldiers there were. If possible, she was to poison them. She had managed to successfully find her way in and after a few days, found her chance at an opening. She had carefully slipped the poison into their food supply that they had stolen from the villagers. She barely managed to escape capture, as the soldiers began killing villagers upon discovering they had been poisoned. She made her way back to her village, only to find that it was wiped out during the campaign of Nobunaga. With anger and grief filling her soul, she left the remnants of the village behind her, trying to live a fairly normal life, while still making a living off of her abilities.
However, trying to live a normal life with her skill set would be near impossible. She was only able to live in a village or town for as long as she could before the rumors about her grew to where she couldn't afford to hang around any longer. At least, not safely. For years, she would be on the move from town to town for as long as she could. As such, she kept very few in the way of belongings. This would continue to be her trend until she turned twenty five. She had finally found a village far enough out where rumors of her skill set had not managed to reach. Shortly after her arrival, villagers began turning up dead one night after another, brutally murdered in the streets. Naturally, they thought her to be the reason. Claimed she was some sort of demon disguising herself as a young girl and that's why she never seemed to grow older into what a woman should have been. The villagers attacked her in her own home with overwhelming numbers and tied her down after breaking her arms and legs. After, they tied her to a rock and shoved her off a cliff and down into the lake, where she had drowned. This was where her life in the human world came to an abrupt end.
However, due to the traumatic nature of her death, it seems like most of her memories from during her human life are lost in a fog. She just knew that she had emotions that carried over. Having forgotten most of her human life, she started a new life within the Rukongai. As such, it would seem that she never forgot the training from when she was a human.
Over the many years, she seemed to awaken more to the potential within her soul, as she began to show signs of not aging and even showing that she was getting hungry and needed nourishment. As such, she spent many years of her life doing what she could to be able to make what she needed to keep herself fed. After several run ins with Shinigami that seemed to patrol, a few of those times where she had been caught stealing when she had very little money. She decided to finally listen after being scolded many times, to finally put her existance to use.
She trained as much as she could on her own to try and polish her knowledge of Ninjutsu from her human life. After a while, she chose to finally enroll herself within the Academy to finally become a Shinigami herself. She's spent much of her time focused on her studies, with the sole purpose of aiming for a place within Squad Two. She knew she wasn't a front line fighter, but instead wanted to use her skills in a way that would prove useful and as a way to improve her abilities even further. Deep down, the drive to push herself further seems to be what pushes her to focus on her studies with her goal in mind.
With those in mind, when she made her way to apply, she had to endure a grilling interview to see if she would be accepted. She had endured them as best as she could, and even showed herself capable of using her powers in a way that were needed for anyone who applied to become a student. After being accepted, she worked hard during her years in the academy, finding joy in her lessons. She was even known to stay after lessons at times to ask more questions.
She had made a few friends during her time in the academy, even one that she finds herself looking up to at times as a way that they were the example of how she wanted to change and become better.
Now with her time at the academy drawing closer, she's focusing even harder on submitting her application to Squad Two in hopes of being accepted. For now, she continues her lessons with hopes that her application will be accepted.
