Well, it was about that fucking time. That's right... It's time to acquire a task. This wasn't something Stalker needed to do but perhaps it would be beneficial to just get some experience on her belt. It was broad day light out which was not normal for her what's so ever but hey, shit ain't always perfect. Stalker was dressed casually too which made this even more weird. The location for where her task holder was? Well, let's just say it's definitely not the norm. Crossing a road while looking, she pondered to herself if doing this was a good idea.
She had more important things to do like finding out more about herself. Stalker guesses that maybe she could gain something of value from this but it wasn't a guarantee thing. The woman would step through an alleyway and cross a shady side of the town. Hmmm, just where to look? Finally, it was located. Looking directly ahead of her was a broken down shack of some sort. She pulled a piece of paper out and looked at the image. Yup, that was definitely it! Beat up, broken, and weak in structure. Maybe it was good to go in and have a look? Stalker knew it was going to be an interesting inquiry as she stepped on the first step and heard a loud creek. Talk about maintaining your property... Stalker would walk up the steps and look around.
Silence emitted in the air as she heard not even the streets no more. As she stepped inside, she would find nothing but abandonment and sorrow. The place looked like it was ransacked but for some odd reason, it didn't concern the woman what's so ever. As she stepped right in, she found what she was looking for. A box centered in the room to be exact. As she approached the box, she could feel a tingle in the air as she went to open it. Stalker looked around quickly but didn't see a single person. Odd...
The woman would crack open the box to see its contents and discovered exactly what was inside it. It holds a note, a picture, a map of some sort and a gun. Just what in the fuck was this bullshit? A fucking GUN? Stalker shook her head and reached over for the handgun. She grasped the cold weapon and lifted it up. She pulled the slide back, ejected the magazine and peered at it. Stalker wondered why a gun would be included with this. Did they not think she was prepared for such a task?
She looked down at the magazine that landed on the ground and found a full magazine, ready for use. Clearly this was some sort of joke to her. Stalker threw the weapon across the room and looked down to see the note and picture. Gripping each one, she would bring it up and give the picture a glance. A woman in the picture sat there with a grin, crossing her legs in such an odd way. She looked over at the note like a buzzard looking at the dead meat laid before it.
'To anyone who is reading this, I'm currently dead now. You probably heard of this job from an ad I made awhile ago but I feel like no one cares to know. This woman I have pictured is the reason why this place looks like total shit around here. I couldn't bare it anymore. She's been going around and absolutely destroying everything that I hold dear, including my own family. She was honestly someone I could once trust but she's become a monster. Her name is Yanza Pettis; mob boss of *some words Stalker cannot understand*.'
Stalker was rubbing her eyes while reading this horse shit. This clear had to be a joke. She forcefully kept reading the awful note. 'If you happened to pick up this job, please know I don't expect you to accept this. There's no payment. This is simply a job that is for redemption on my behalf. Please, I would sincerely appreciate you. I have drawn you a map of where this demon is headquartered. I will say this... Whatever you find in that lair will be your reward. I sincerely hope you consider this, but if you don't.... I understand. Thanks-'
And that's where the note ends. This was what she came all this way for. Some lousy, sad, fucking note of a dead man. Just what the hell kind of shit was that? Stalker gave off a heavy sigh, and looked at the map. The location of where this place was was pretty far out. It's not out of country or anything but it was definitely out there. Stalker pondered to herself if this was a good idea. Would there really be something out there worth it? The note did mention whatever loot was there was hers for the taking. However what good would that do? For all she knew, this could be some sort of trap. The woman weighed her options carefully. Something just didn't feel quite right.. 'Take it...' A whisper was heard in her mind.
That damn voice... The darkling inside her mind. Sometimes when there's some relevant the damn abomination would speak. It was like a fly chanting in her brain just hearing that voice. She would sigh very slowly as she knew now something was up. Perhaps maybe this task would prove to benefit her down the road. Stalker looked inside the box to find nothing else of use. She would look around the shack-like structure and looked around for maybe any possible clues for this quest she may partake in. While peering around, she found furniture all destroyed, the environment all ruined. Everything around here was a mess. It seemed like nothing would come from this.
Stalker knew it was time to go. Perhaps this would be beneficial on her end to do this. As she walked outside, she could hear the cars and traffic all over again and felt life come back to the air. Hmph. Clearly something chilling was wrong with that place. For it to be so silent before she stepped in. She slid all the info in her pockets and decided to accept the task. This task is probably going to go somewhere. Honestly, if that damned darkling said nothing she wouldn't have taken this job but it's clear it needs to be done. As she walked off, she would think of a plan. A plan to prepare what would be ahead. There's gonna need to be some plans for this. However, first... She needs to go take a day to rest up before the adventure. After all, it's for the dead man too...
