Name: How many doors does it take to get home?
Participants:
Ambrose and Crystal
Location:
Drangleic Castle, starting at the depths and ascending to the top.
Difficulty Level: Hard
Setting: DE
Plotline:
Simply put this adventure is a boss rush. While there is some exploration of the castle and some additions to the fight. Such as finding the boss for example or otherwise instigating the fight. The core of this adventure is to complete a boss rush. The minimum number of bosses to complete is 4 but it can extend up to 6 if the participants are willing.
Kitai has had yet another new and wacky machine to test. But instead of using one of his clones given their current creation of a Union, Kitai must look towards others said others being Crystal, an intern that he occasionally allows around his shop for one reason or another. And Ambrose, the new guy who walked into his shop and wanted something. With promises that Kitai is absolutely, 100%, definitely going to keep because it's what a stand-up person like him would do, the two are convinced or otherwise forced to pass into what is effectively an altered Interdimensional Doorknob portal and see if it took them where Kitai wants to go. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the doorknob had other plans. Such plans included taking itself along with Crystal and Ambrose onto a misadventure into another realm where not just their bodies but their very souls are in danger. (Or as close to a soul as Crystal has)
The King and Queen of the Drangleic Castle have agreed to allow the two to return where they came from so long as they endure and succeed at the castle's legendary gauntlet. They must traverse the castle, endure against traps, minions, monsters, and creatures of myth, legend, or otherwise renown in this world. Some of which are just incredibly strong individuals. Should the two fail to complete the gauntlet however, they will not only be stuck in this realm forever but also will find themselves corrupted by a mysterious influence called the "Abyssal Draw". A disease that affects not just the body and mind, but the soul, or closest thing to that, of an individual. Driving them insane, bestial, and reducing any capabilities they previously wielded to effectively nothing.
Estimated Enemy Strength:
Enemies will be Class 3 on average. Bosses typically class 2 with one or two at class 1.
Estimated Time Until Completion:
3 pages or 6 months, whichever comes first.
Starts:
Upon my first opening post.
Special Conditions:
1. Each individual will have 3 total lives. Upon dying the individuals are respawned in a nearby safe zone. When respawning individuals regain full health, reiatsu, stamina, and any other limited resources. Effectively it's a complete reset. Only on the 3rd death is this permanent. Enemies, bosses, and zones also reset upon death of both Crystal and Ambrose.
2. Upon killing a boss all resources are reset and wounds healed.
3. Bosses may or may not have environmental effects, this will typically be dealt with on boss 3 and whatever follows. Bosses also have HP bars that are reduced directly by how much OS an attack, effect, etc. has. Upon reaching 0 they die.
4. 2x TP due to Christmas Event.
5. So long as a rest spot is reached Ambrose and Crystal can "update" themselves. I.E. If they got new items, release abilities, non-release techs, more skills, etc. They can have the current character reflective of that update. Additionally, so long as they are at a rest spot, they can purchase new items.
