Name: Callan Dahl Leif - Nickname Cedric / Hafgufa - Moniker
Age: 57 years old (Appears to be) / 673 (Actual Age)
Birthday (Month/Day): October 13th
Blood Type: -O

Maybe

-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5ft 10in / 172 lbs
Physical Description:
Callan’s overall physique is akin to a professional runner. Lightly muscled as far as the torso and upper body are concerned. However his legs are surprisingly muscular and look bigger than his arms by just a bit. This makes sense given Callan is more focused on speed and stamina than he is with raw physical power. Moving beyond that Callan’s body has several noteworthy scars from his many years working as a for hire mercenary. The most notable of these scars are his hands. Both hands are entirely burned and thus have warped and mottled due partially melted skin. These burns cover the entirety of his hands and are usually hidden behind nice gloves that go past his wrists. Additionally he has a scar that encompasses around the entirety of his right shoulder as the limb in question was entirely severed once upon a time. Thus the healing he received meant he kept the limb but not without shows of injury. Additionally on his legs there are several scars across them from various attempts to cut or severely injure his legs. The last and most noteworthy scar, if one finds Callan without a shirt on, is a large discolored patch of skin on his backside. Caused by an acid burn that never quite healed properly.
Moving beyond the scars Callan’s face is pretty spotless surprisingly. He continues to have a full head of hair that has now gone white due to his age. He tends to keep it style so that his hair is combed towards the back of his head. And when long enough, he uses a small hair tie to make a very small ponytail. This is usually accomplished with some kind of gel to help keep his hair in place. As for his beard, this is kept meticulously trimmed and goes a couple inches from his face. Unlike his hair however, he only combs it down and thus sometimes if it's been a long time between trimmings his facial hair can grow out in many directions. His eyebrows are also maintained to keep straight clean lines, though they are a bit bushy. Age is also apparent as there are wrinkles over his forehead and around his cheeks. These help bring out his cheek bones which were already pretty prominent to begin with. His lips are thin and just a few shades darker than his skin which is paler than most. His eyes have the standard white sclera while his iris is outlined in black with small tendrils that crawl towards his pupil. The remainder of the iris is a stormy blue.
Returning back to Callan’s main body, as mentioned he is pale aside from where his scars are located. His back is a dark red-brown color while his hands are significantly more dark red with rough leather like skin. There is some definition of muscle but again it's akin to a runner’s physique so any muscle definition is in part present due to being leaner overall. With regards to his quincy cross, Callan’s is a bit unique in that his clan does not follow standard “quincy crosses”. His in particular was reforged to look akin to Aegishjalmr as it is more in line with his particular lineage. The internals of the lines are layered in a single stretched dark blue stone. It should also be pointed out that Callan does wear glasses though this is due to assisting him in reading documentation. His eyesight typically is pretty fair otherwise and thus he can readily be found with and without them.
Moving from Callan himself we move towards his personal clothing choice, which is unsurprisingly, suits. Callan enjoys dressing up and looking relatively well. Especially given he can typically afford it. Usually custom tailored he wears the entire get up of slacks, well polished leather dress shoes, a jacket, vest, button up long sleeve shirt, and a tie/bowtie. To really drive home how dedicated he is with the appearance he even goes so far as to have a handkerchief and a pocket watch. When it's warm he typically will not wear the jacket but will continue to have the remainder of the outfit. And as mentioned before, Callan does not ever find himself without gloves unless they were taken from him or destroyed as a consequence of some action. The specifics of what suit Callan will wear vary depending on his mood. He has a pinstripe suit, he has a typical black and white suit, and goes to have every color of button up shirt and vest imaginable so that with brown, black, white, or other neutral colored slacks he can match in some manner or another. The only attire that Callan does not have and doesn’t generally enjoy wearing are hats. But occasionally a look calls for it so he will wear them but tends to lose said hats.
Callan’s “casual” wear is not much different from his standard formal wear. Vest, button up long sleeve, but with nice dark colored jeans, and boots. Occasionally he will wear suspenders so long as the colors work out, usually meaning he wears greens, browns, and blues. Jewelry is something of an odd thing for Callan. He can wear them but is fairly conservative sticking to nice watches, metal or leather bracelets, and only a couple rings if any at all. Rarely will he go so far as to wear a necklace, typically only if his clothing necessitates it.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
1. Fire / Fire Powers
Having suffered severe burns on his hands, Callan isn’t exactly a fan of fire. He’s not likely to have severe PTSD from them but it's definitely something he’s less than happy to see. Still he’ll typically give some kind of show of his disapproval of said powers. A sigh, an eye roll, maybe even a small grumble.
2. The growing focus on technology
Maybe it’s the old man in him. Perhaps it’s based on the problems that technology brings. Who's to say? But regardless, Callan isn’t the most fond of technology. It causes issues when it doesn’t work, it's complicated, and it attempts to do similar functions to “magic” or reiatsu abilities but with more steps. He’ll use it all the same but he’s not the most fond of it.
3. The Vandenriech
Callan hasn’t interacted with the Vandenriech but what he has heard of them hasn’t been pleasant. He’s heard they are a bunch of sociopaths and don’t even try to show it. That they commit mass genocide for the sake of their leader. Even going so far as to kill fellow quincy. Perhaps this is just hearsay but Callan has not been one to completely dismiss rumors thus until he meets one he shall attempt to keep his distance.
4. Being under prepared
Callan is in a dangerous realm of work. Should he be quick to judge, stubborn, or even worse arrogant. He could make the immense miscalculation of miscalculating an individual's strength and coming under prepared. Something that Callan has done in the past and something he tries his damnedest to ensure doesn’t happen again.
5. Wanton Killing
Perhaps it's contradictory to say, but Callan likes to have his designated and reasonable targets. Someone pissed off someone else. Someone holds something another wants. Someone just wants to have person A go away without them being directly involved. All of this is “fine” in his book. But to just murder large swathes of individuals is just a bit much in his mind. War is a fine example of too much killing given how many are caught in the crossfire or are intended targets.
6. Showing his hands
Callan has a preference to appear professional at all times. Should he be able, he will never allow his scars to concern those he works with, for, or around. It’s perhaps something he may not need to worry about but he wants to always present himself as though he’s at his best. Burnt hands don’t exactly imply his “best”. Especially when he’s new in “town” as far as Japan is concerned.
7. Bad Reviews
Callan knows that this “for hire” status of his is all about rumors and gossip. He can do his best and succeed but if people don’t speak of him in a good light he will never be hired. Thus he puts his energy towards doing things exactly as the client intends. Even if he despises their requests. So when he gets a bad review it frustrates him given how important the first several missions he gets in Japan will be. Even more so if the reviews start to hinder his efforts back in Europe or China.
8. Money
It’s a necessary evil. That much is a fact. Callan, if he could, would like to live in a world where he doesn’t require money simply so he could do as he pleases and possibly use his words and wit to get what he needs. Sadly, trading isn’t exactly favorable nowadays and thus he needs money to not only ensure his clan’s safety but to also ensure he can survive.
9. Torture / Human Trafficking
Callan can be paid to do many things. Killing, theft, assisting others, collecting data, you name it and Callan can do it. But Torture and Human Trafficking are two things he refuses to do. Torture is laborous and just disgusting. Human Trafficking is just . . . there’s a lot there he refuses to be a part of. He will never accept either job.
10. Loud and Brash people
Again, perhaps it's the old man in him. Or maybe it's the fact that he has heard enough screaming and yelling to last several lifetimes. Whatever the case it’s just frustrating. People very rarely need to yell in Callan’s mind and yet they think yelling right in front of a person is the right way to go about.
Likes:
1. Easy jobs
Callan is a bit on the lazy side. If he can complete a job quickly and easily, that's just making his day all the better. He genuinely enjoys very simple jobs that don’t necessarily involve spiritual individuals. Or if they do then information gathering. Usually he finds those jobs so much more simple than killing or setting up weird events.
2. Collecting fragments of the Old World
The “Old World” being the world of myth and legend. As Callan has found out, many legends, mythos, and rumors are 100% false. But occasionally there are grains of truth in them. With very real and very interesting relics of the past whether alive, dead, or an object. All these things make Callan happy especially when he can grab them and keep them safe from the ever changing world.
3. Professional Individuals
Professionals come in all shapes and sizes. And what professional means changes depending on the context of what the job is. For example, Kitai has made it abundantly apparent through black market connections that his shop is the best and has even included video and supporting data. Whereas Xcution has an extensive list of achievements both personal and organizationally that show their capability.
4. Making Connections
Japan is a new frontier as far as Callan is concerned. He knows next to no one and needs to start building his web of contacts. Even if he were back in Europe or China he still enjoys getting new contacts if only to expand his network and influence as necessary. It's important both professionally and personally. You never know when you’ll need the help of another in his line of work.
5. Fighting
It’s a bit of a professional secret that Callan enjoys a good fight. Specifically the kind of fight that takes on more of a show of skill rather than just a show of force. It’s no fun if someone can just completely overwhelm the other after all. He’s also not a fan of multiple people fights and instead prefers to have fights that are one on one. When they come his way he does occasionally allow them to drag if only to give himself another moment's worth of enjoyment.
6. Research
Callan does his jobs with as much precision as possible. It’s part of his selling point to his clients for why they should purchase his services. By now he’s done it for so long that it's second nature and something he actively enjoys doing. Hell, it's extended beyond just his job for the moment and has gone off into researching companies, people, foods, materials, etc. The things one can find out are astonishing when you take the time to learn.
7. Traveling
Callan adores traveling around from country to country. On the job, off the job. It doesn’t matter. Seeing new places and experiencing new things like food, culture, history is all interesting to him. He’s yet to see the Americas but intends to do so after he explores Africa and Australia/New Zealand.
8. Fullbringers
They’re like spiritual cousins in a way. Both Quincy and Fullbringers are spiritually enhanced humans but how they’re enhanced are quite different. As far as his clan is concerned, Quincies are the original spiritual humans with Fullbringers being a branch off from them. Callan isn’t exactly sure about this but he’s curious all the same about them. Regardless he’s always willing to work with them if the other party is willing.
9. Keeping his home safe
Callan despite everything is a man of the hearth. He personally ensures that his clan is kept safe and tucked away as the times change. Such as buying out their specific Fjord to ensure that no one can do anything more than take a boat over it and keep other spiritual entities away from it. He’s not always successful but with his background and connections to the spiritual underworld he has successfully kept his clan and their village safe for several centuries.
10. Tutoring new mercenaries
This is a very particular joy of Callans. At almost every step of his life he had the luxury of being eased and assisted with learning the ropes of his various jobs. His stint into the spiritual underworld being a notable exception. This is something he believes should be done with those who are just getting into the dark and grimy business of the underworld. It not only helps there be more available individuals for hire but it also allows him to build up a connection that he can interact with down the line.
Flaws:
1. Desires safety
In his line of work “safety” isn’t a concept that can apply. He’ll always have a target on his back for one reason or another. Let alone put one another. His work isn’t safe even if he stuck to not killing individuals. Yet all the same, Callan has a desire to be relatively safe at some point in his life so that he can eventually retire.
2. Slow to act
Callan is a look before jump kind of individual. And he’s taken this to a bit of an extreme given he always digs and dives for as much information as possible on any given job. Though this can be seen as a strength it is also a weakness when a snap or quick decision must be made as Callan is the kind of individual to think through everything and delay his decision. This can apply to especially complex or otherwise highly derailed fights.
3. Sets opinions about others
Callan has a habit of prejudging individuals and then once he meets them deciding how he views them permanently from that point forward. Meaning that if someone is aggravating he’ll forever find them aggravating and will very rarely change his personal view on another even with monumental personal change. Not exactly the best habit in his line of work for several reasons.
4. Puts his clan/kin first
There’s very few things that can truly set Callan off from 0 to 100. Attempting to threaten or otherwise harm his clan is one such button. Callan puts clan and kin above nearly everything else, including his job. And he’s not going to idly stand by while another attempts or even insinuates harming them. This has caused him to burn bridges in the past.
5. Naive
Though Callan knows of a few races, Bount and Fullbringers to name a couple. There are many others that Callan is just pretty lacking in knowledge of. Mod Souls, Beast-Clan, Hellions in general. Even Arrancar are something of an oddity and given the various clans of Quincies, his knowledge of Quincies is up for debate. Try as he might to learn about the spiritual, it's not the easiest feat when the spiritual world is rife with secrecy.
Habits:
1. Rubs his beard/ combs his mustache
Cedric just tends to default to messing with his beard when listening to another, reading a book, thinking on something, etc. It doesn’t exactly mean much of anything but it’s something he just does on the regular without even thinking about it.
2. Pulls at his gloves
Callan, as mentioned previously, desires to look professional at all times. Thus he doesn’t like showing his scars because he believes it to make him look less capable. His hands especially so because of how extensive the damage was to them. Regardless of healers he’s seen, none could completely fix the skin and light muscle damage that he has now. Thus they remain hidden and to keep this so he pulls on his gloves regularly to ensure they are completely on.
3. Jots down notes
Callan is too old to remember everything. With all his world experience and his list of jobs he has to do it's hard to remember everything. Let alone remembering to go do x, y, or z after a job. So he always has to write things down. Especially when his clients are particular about what they want from him on the job. This includes notes he takes on those he interacts with.
4. Extensive Planner
Whether it's for a job or simply deciding how he wants to spend his day, Callan plans out everything. Down to the minute if necessary. Obviously when it comes to leisure time he’s more lax and will create a list of things he’d like done in the day as opposed to set times. But when it comes to jobs or other work he is involved in, Callan takes several days to just plan out everything to the fullest extent possible.
5. Withholds his Soul Property
Callan both loves and hates his Soul Property. It’s functionally his ace in the hole for many reasons. But it also causes mass destruction and really hinders his ability to be an underground for hire. Mainly because it's so obvious and highly damaging to the world around him. Unless pushed hard Callan will try everything but his Soul Property to ensure he remains as undercover as possible.
Fears:
1. The destruction of his clan
It's not out of the realm of possibility that Callan, almost explicitly due to his line of work, puts a major target on his clan. Because if someone cannot go after Callan, his clan is the next best thing. And 90% of them are nowhere near as capable as Callan. It’s only made worse by Callan’s intense dedication, influence for the European Black Market, and massive financial investment to keep his clan safe. If this happens Callan would functionally lose his reason to exist.
2. Retirement
It’s a silly fear but Callan enjoys his current height of power. And retirement implies that he will lose it all at some point. Both the underground connections and his spiritual prowess. He may even die given how old he is currently as most of his clan doesn’t even live beyond 200 years and yet he’s over 600. This is also nothing to say of if he can even retire given his occupation. He may not be allowed to “retire” without being dead on the ground somewhere.
3. The World losing touch with the past
This was started long ago when the industrial era took full swing. The world drastically began shifting from old world logic and capabilities to new world technology. And while there were many good things to come from it, Callan also sees a drastic reduction in spiritual capabilities. And frankly speaking it scares him. The world needs to move forward but not without anything from the past, namely the spiritual background of it. If that’s lost, then people in his mind will lose what makes them people instead of just slaves to machines.
4. Hell or any other negative afterlife
Callan has done a lot of dark things. Killing people, drugging them, stealing from them, setting them up for ruin to name a few. While Hell may or may not exist in some manner or another he’s highly concerned about his choices in life. No amount of desire to protect his clan and willingness to do the dirty work for it will save him from being condemned if the sins he’s accrued are too vast in their number. It’s something that haunts the back of his thoughts.
5. China
Having worked his way through China to Japan and stumbling heavily through the Asian Black Market. . . Callan wants as little to do with them as possible. China specifically was the one country that had Callan challenge in ways he barely understood. Between spiritual races he’d never seen before to magic he’d never even heard of let alone known could encompass a wide variety of abilities, the whole experience was utterly miserable. Especially when he was the odd guy out given he looked drastically different from anyone else in the country. In truth, Callan never wants to go back nor deal with anyone from there because he’s uncertain of what all China and its underground networks can do.
Goals:
1. Preserve the Old World
Currently this means learning about mythos, legends, and even just rumors and investigating their legitimacy. Do the supernatural beings of these exist? Are they in danger of being obliterated by modern day spiritual beings? Or are they simply falsehoods? It’s impossible to know without looking into them. But if there’s even one object, being, or otherwise that Callan can preserve it’s one of his major goals to do so.
2. Gain a solid reputation in the underworld of Japan
Callan is in Japan for one reason and one reason alone. He needed to expand his influence and range of contacts. Thus he’s here to engage with the black market, bounties, and noteworthy individuals. As long as he can make a name for himself that speaks to his capabilities in a good light, then he’s good. He’d prefer to do all this without placing a target on his back but that’s simply not going to happen with who he works with. So whatever he can do to get the reputation he wants while also not having an overwhelming amount of enemies is what Callan strives for.
3. Continue to preserve his clan
By and large Callan’s biggest goal in life. Protect the Clan and Kin. If he fails this, he will lose everything. So far it’s in good straits as he owns the fjord and has enough ties with the right individuals to keep it well hidden but one can never be too certain that everything will remain as it has been. Especially when an individual who is adept at sensing reiatsu walks near it. Though the odds may be small it's never 0. But this is why Callan continues to work, to make sure they do not have to experience anything like what Callan has seen.

-Powers-
Fighting Style:
Callan is a spiritual machine through and through. Whether talking about his quincy bow and arrows or his techniques. Everything about Callan is spiritual in nature. And how he fights revolves around the spiritual. Mainly how his form properties interact with him and his additional properties. The whirlpools especially are his bread and butter, while his anchor and chains are there to assist in creating an unconventional fighting style. This mixed in with his high flexibility and means to move at high speeds helps him ensure that he can maintain what can effectively be called a deadly game of tag. Where he can semi-reliably hit his opponents while wriggling out of the way of anything they throw at him. Obviously this isn’t always going to be effective at preventing damage to him and thus he’ll need to shore up his defensive capabilities but this is the overall goal.
With regards to how Callan prefers to fight it sort of depends on what his research talks about. Which leads to the first “tenet” for Callan. Never fight someone you have not studied or otherwise looked into. Not seriously if it can be helped. The underworld thrives on gaining knowledge on those within its domain. This means Callan has to be careful in his fights as he uses every means of influence and tool at his disposal to determine everything he can about his opponents and then build plans to capitalize on any weakness present. Whether that’s finding out that an individual cannot handle a multi person fight well or that they require time to set up, or even that they excel in close range. All of this is information that Callan researches for and thus, in Callan’s mind, his fight starts before he ever sets foot on the battlefield. How much time he needs is dependent on the person, what they’ve achieved, what they can do, what their time up until this point has been spent doing, and much more. No piece of information is too small to search for and consider in the greater context of an individual.
Once this excessive research has been done Callan finally shows up to whatever fight’s planned to take on. Assuming he needs no specialty items, abilities, or assistance, Callan plays a specific fighting style. Hit and run, mixed with area control. Callan knows he’s only truly capable of taking a few hits, depending on the enemy in question. Thus Callan has to ensure he’s walking forward with what defense he can muster and the means to out maneuver his opponent at every turn. This is where his physical training comes in, he is not only fairly fast compared to others but he is extremely agile allowing him to practically dance around others. And that’s the goal since he cannot out-power his opponents, typically. More than anything this means he emphasizes speed and the means to maintain or shift the speed he’s capable of at a given moment. This allows him the means to land critical blows on his opponents with his anchor or otherwise use his whirlpools akin to additional melee weapons.
With regards to range, Callan is pretty well adept at fighting from range. As a quincy it's almost built into him to fight at range. His whirlpools are especially helpful as they allow him the means to affect a larger portion while distant. Not to mention assuming someone survives their shredding edge, they typically cannot endure being thrown around by their tidal forces. Allowing him the means to manipulate where they will be and land yet further blows akin to a dart board. It’s also helpful that despite the glaring weakness of his whirlpools, their central eyes, he can fire many that continue to ensure a difficult series of attacks to evade, especially since he’s learned how to manipulate their trajectory. Gods, help whoever has to deal with his heart property as that just ensures that his arrows are that much more of a pain in the ass deal with given they begin to draw others in, making even “failed” attacks have a second chance at having a significant effect.
All of this pales in comparison to Callan’s true secret goal. The goal of Callan is not to necessarily shred someone in half. If it happens, it happens of course. But the goal is to get them used to his arrows, while he learns of their capabilities, and then change up the nature of the fight by using his power property. Which leads to Callan’s heavy use of stockpiled liquids. Callan will capitalize on his power property as much as possible and if at all possible he will ensure that others don’t realize what he’s doing by enhancing them. So when they believe themselves safe, they find their bodies enduring agony they hadn’t expected. After all, surprise is the most important part of a fight. If the other doesn’t realize what is going on, that is a wide opening just begging to be capitalized on. For Callan, this is what it’s all about and this is the key moment he looks for in every fight.
It can’t be understated however that Callan does suffer immensely from fighting those who are physically gifted as those spiritually gifted can, usually, be managed. Those who are blessed in strength find themselves not immune but fairly unimpressed by Callan’s abilities. Which shifts the game from hit and run to cat and mouse. Usually, with Callan as the mouse. In all honesty, it may not even be that bad but the fact of the matter is, Callan sets himself up to use his abilities as much as possible and fuse them with weaknesses that others have. If he cannot functionally do that he is on a timer to either losing or outright attempting to disengage. While it’s not preferable Callan is not above running to fight another day if he’s realized he’s miscalculated or otherwise is at a major disadvantage. And thus begins to use his abilities less for offense and more for buying time so that he can leave. Should that fail, Callan is in for a real shit time the likes of which he isn’t to survive. (Most likely)
Bow Release Overall Theme: Brackish Whirlpools
Cedric's power is a strange ability to say the least. Cedric takes on the ability to, in a limited capacity, manipulate water but a very specific kind of water. Corrupt and brackish water. The kind you'd see when an oil spill occurs in the ocean or when you look at the waste that is produced by factories en masse. This is the water that Cedric is able to weaponize for his own use with several surprising twists that normally wouldn't be what someone facing this power would think.
Form Property (Class 6):From the Depths Below
Chains of the Depths is what you might expect, were Cedric a ship. It is an anchor attached to a set of chains whose length varies by how much reiatsu Cedric is willing to spend. Technically even allowing him to simply produce the actual Anchor if he only pays the base cost of this property. The anchor itself is 20 feet long from top to bottom, 5 feet thick, and at the base point reach about 10 feet in width. The chains are 3 feet thick and are 5 feet long. Cedric can pay an additional 50 reiatsu up to 250 to gain 10 feet of chain. The total cost would make this 350 reiatsu for 50 feet's worth of chain. The chains and the anchor follow standard release weapon rules for durability and OS. However, it should be noted that with regards to Cedric wielding it that the anchor is nothing more than a meter ruler in weight despite the multiple tons it weighs to anyone else. Additionally, the anchor, as one expects, does not have a cutting edge and is entirely blunt with the only exceptions being the pointed tips.
{Class 6 Form Property reference}
Form Property (Class 5): Voracious Vortex
Upon activating this property Cedric's arrows take on a new form. Upon creation Cedric instead of creating "arrows" in any legitimate sense creates miniature whirlpools of water. The size of these whirlpools depends on the class of the arrow created. Class 7 arrows start at 5 feet in diameter and 6in thick. These gain an additional 5 feet in length for every class above 7 as well as an additional 6in in thickness. (Caps at 35 feet diameter and 3ft 6in in thickness) The eye of the whirlpools is one foot at class 7 and grows larger for every class above 7. This caps out at 7 feet in diameter at class 1. These whirlpools are strange for a number of reasons. Firstly, they are about as disgusting as one can imagine. Polluted with oil, sediment, waste, and general filth. The water in question is grey with solid particles that go from grey to black to green, to brown, all accompanied by a radiant and shining film of oil on the surface of each side of the whirlpool. Utterly disgusting.
As far as what these whirlpools can do it's two-fold as it depends on where an individual comes in contact with said whirlpool. If an individual comes in contact with the edge, they will find their flesh torn asunder or more accurately ripped off of them in chunks. This is due to the centrifugal force of the water throwing all the particles to the edges of the whirlpool. Add in the circular motion and it's not that surprising to see how the whirlpools are able shred anything that comes in contact with them. This however immediately ceases past the edge (half an inch at most) and instead begins throwing individuals caught within around with the currents. These currents do not cause harm to an individual but will spin the individual around in a circle while dragging them with the whirlpool until it comes in contact with another object.
The OS of the whirlpool's edges and the currents are equal to Cedric's OS. To disperse the whirlpool simply requires an attack or series of attacks that equal in OS to the OS of the whirlpool. As for resisting the currents of the water an individual needs only half of Cedric's OS to remain where they are. Whirlpools cost double the base reiatsu of a standard arrow.
Firing Property (Class 4): Fickle Tempest
Upon activating Maelstrom Manifestation Cedric's whirlpools/arrows are able to be fired from any point on Cedric's body as well as any point on his anchor or chains. Though it should be noted that as long as he has either form property active he can have the whirlpools instead remain on his person indefinitely. The maximum Cedric can keep is 4 on both his person and on his chain/anchor. The whirlpools can be overlayed and intermingled with one another.
Worse yet for Cedric's enemies he can move them at will at standard arrow speed. So long as the whirlpool is connected to Cedric's body or his anchor/chains in some capacity. It should be noted that should Cedric have these on his feet and he is in the air or on a liquid surface, he will not fall as they are considered stable ground for him in addition to not forcing him to move within their circular motion. Nor does he suffer the effects of the water's shredding edge while they are attached to his body, chain, or anchor. He can choose with the tidal currents if he so chooses, however.
Power Property (Class 3): Rampaging Tides
This power property allows the whirlpools as well as Cedric's anchor/chains a few unique properties. First and foremost should Cedric's anchor, chains, whirlpools come into contact with another liquid substance they are all able to take on the properties of said substance. For example Liquid Nitrogen freezes objects on contact, should Cedric's bow or arrows come into contact with this, the arrows or bow would then be capable of freezing objects on contact until it came in contact with another liquid. This does apply to opponents releases that have or create liquids however Cedric's Bow and Arrows must be equal in class and have at least equal OS to the liquid in question. If these are not met, then the properties cannot be replicated. It should be stated that this property does then prevent Cedric from being harmed by the additional properties should the whirlpools or his anchor/chains be in contact with him in the meantime.
Additionally while this property is active the whirlpool's tidal power increases to 75% of Cedric's OS and additionally all parts of Cedric's whirlpool are capable of shredding those caught within the whirlpool’s body as additional debris is created and spread throughout the whirlpool. Meanwhile for the anchor and chains Cedric is able to manipulate them telekinetically. So long as the chain and the anchor are not bound by something else they are able to move around up the maximum length the chains allow or in the case of no chains being present up to 30 feet away from Cedric. His anchor and chains are able to move at arrow speeds and use his highest Spiritual OS as its Strength behind any binding that occurs as well as the power force of the attack. I.E. the weight of the movement.
Heart Property: Charybdis Blessing
Cedric's Heart Property attempts to take the notion of being a whirlpool and applying that to Cedric's current existence. First and foremost it should be noted that while the Heart property is active, Cedric cannot be drowned. Regardless of the liquid and regardless of any lacking air saturating the liquid. Additionally Cedric gains a 50% boost or two points in a skill, depending on the liquid in question, to any check to survive or endure liquids and their natural properties, should there be a check. (Only one of these benefits can be picked.) If there is none or it is naturally occuring Cedric is simply able to endure indefinitely while in contact with said liquid. I.E. If he were submerged in magma, liquid/melted earth, he will not melt or be burned unless Heart property deactivates or unless there is an OS backing the magma that he cannot beat.
Additionally while this property is active Cedric exerts a "natural" tidal force around his body, bow, and arrows. With regards to whirlpools generated this extends beyond the edge of the whirlpools. This "tidal force" creates a suction force at Cedric's OS that draws all objects, individuals, attacks, etc into its pull and will perpetually have those drawn into the flow dragged around in a circular motion. Cedric can change the direction of this motion however it will always start clockwise. Additionally Cedric can change the direction of the currents to or from the "eye" of the whirlpool. Allowing whatever is being moved around by said tidal force to or away from himself, arrows, or bow. Thus letting him return ranged attacks or collected objects should they succumb to his tidal forces. Any objects or individuals that are "returned" to sender are thrown at arrow speed and with a force equal to Cedric's OS. This tidal force extends 50 feet away from Cedric while his bow and arrows gain a 15 foot tidal force.
Soul Property: Mesoscale Monoliths
Cedric's Soul property is something no sane individual should want to endure. Let alone watch. And it's for a very specific reason, it mimics the large-scale "whirlpools'' known as Eddies. Bodies of water that are moving so fast and have so much force that they are a physical and "localized" version of a black hole just with water. With this in mind let's get into the specifics of Cedric's soul property. Unlike his Heart property which intends to create reiatsu based tidal forces Cedric's release actually creates a no shit small ocean. For half a mile in diameter the brackish water that is generated for Cedric's arrows is created. The height of the water created is 60 feet. This water being as polluted and disgusting as it has been since its initial creation outright prevents sight from being helpful for those that are not Cedric. In addition it muffles an individual’s ability to hear making all sensory checks with it at 50% as the tidal forces of the water are the most prominent sound around. Fire and Heat based abilities must have greater than 50% of Cedric's OS to be created while the water exists and lose 15% of their OS every post until they are snuffed out.
Additionally Cedric can create localized whirlpools at any point within this eddy. All whirlpools created this way last 3 posts before fading and can be moved around as Cedric sees fit while they exist. The eddy as a whole moves individuals whose Strength is not equal or exceeds Cedric's OS. The tidal forces can be changed to any direction Cedric for 150 reiatsu each time Cedric shifts the overall current. With regards to structures that exist while the eddy exists, the currents naturally erode objects away due to the mass of particles but will create currents that move around them. Objects made of stone can endure 3 posts before being worn away. It should be noted that there is an "eye" at the center that is 50 feet in diameter at the surface of the eddy and is reduced in size down to 1 foot at the bottom of the eddy. If Heart Property is active the eye is subject to reiatsu tidal forces as described previously. It should be noted that anyone that isn't Cedric and is within the water of the eddy is constantly being worn away by the mass of particles within it. Effectively being ground away. This qualifies as two hits every post for defenses and uses 50% of Cedric's OS. If Cedric's Power Property is active the eddy also gains the same properties as whatever liquid came in contact with it.
