{Shikai Overall Ability: Honegumi Gassō}The theme of Honegumi Gassō revolves around manipulation of qi, a person's vital essence. Upon releasing Honegumi Gassō, Celes can access a specialized font of energy which is tracked through a resource known as Chi. Beginning at 0 and gaining 10 per post, capping at 100, this resource is tracked regardless of whether her release duration expires. Furthermore, re-releasing simply continues its progression from where it was halted. Through her Palms & Arms of the Astral Soul, Celes can forcibly extract qi to redirect it into herself. Any victim, or their release weapon, struck by the aforementioned tools will increase her Chi by 10. While spiritually resilient individuals boast much higher vitality and are unhindered by this, basic humans and other non-spiritual creatures simply drop dead from having their life energy drained even once. When spending reiatsu for her Zanpakutō techniques, Celes may elect to pay an additional cost in Chi, thereby reducing the reiatsu cost by 25%.
Unlike most Zanpakutō release forms, Honegumi Gassō takes the form of a spectral avatar, known as the Astral Soul, to fight alongside the Shinigami. While the Astral Soul, at a glance, might be seen as a construct formed of reiatsu, the avatar itself is solely fashioned from the users' qi. Upon releasing Honegumi Gassō, the Shikai takes the form on a ribcage. This ribcage, while summoned, grants Celes a 360° defense as it manifests around her. From there, Chi may be used to make additions to the ribcage which are detailed further below. Each addition, until made permanent using Ascension of the Astral Soul, has a per-post maintenance cost of Chi. Once these additions have been manifested, Celes may spend Chi to make these permanent additions to her Avatar. This gives Honegumi Gassō the unique ability to evolve over the course of a fight, becoming more durable in the process. Honegumi Gassō forms the Astral Soul at a speed equivalent to the users'.
Honegumi Gassō has durability equivalent to Celes’ OS. This durability increases by 1.5x Celes’ OS when Humanoid. The durability finally rises to 2x Celes’ OS while Armored. Each component which includes the Head, Body & and Arm, has its own durability. No part of the Astral Soul may ever be more than one stage above the Body. When any component of Honegumi Gassō comes into contact with a spiritual or physical attack, technique, or ability, a unique clash occurs as the OS of the attack is subtracted from the durability. Honegumi Gassō forces a clash even with attacks that do not ordinarily clash, using the OS the user, and the class of the technique. The Astral Soul can only suffer durability damage once per execution of an attack unless the attack explicitly hits multiple times. Attacks that possess a 2+ class superiority to the Astral Soul pierce the Astral Soul, harming the durability and leaving Celes’ susceptible to its effects; a 3+ class superiority will pierce and deal 2x OS. To contrast, a 2+ class inferiority will deal 50% OS; a 3+ class inferiority will deal 25% OS. Classless attacks always deal with full OS. If the attack does not reduce the durability to 0, Honegumi Gassō absorbs the full brunt of the attack, protecting anyone within the spectral construct from any damage or negative effects that the technique would have otherwise imposed. Conversely, if the attack does reduce the durability to 0, the attack continues with its leftover OS after subtraction. Finally, if the Body of Honegumi Gassō were to fall to the durability of 0, the entire construct regresses to its previous stage. For example, Armored would regress to Humanoid. Once per post, Celes can spend any amount of Chi to restore the Astral Soul. Each Chi restores 4% durability and can be split, as needed, to any of the Astral Souls' components.
Celes may allow others to enter her Astral Soul freely and doing so incurs no harm to the individual. Opponents may also force their way into Celes’ as long the durability of the Astral Soul's body has fallen below 25%. This includes techniques that would target Celes directly, requiring opponents to wear down her defenses first. Opponents of a higher class than Celes can always force their way into the construct or target Celes through her Astral Soul no matter the durability. At any point, Celes can also "lockdown" her Astral Soul, preventing anyone from leaving or entering with the aforementioned stipulations. Additionally, Celes can dismiss her Astral Soul at any point.
Given the malleable nature of this Astral Soul, Celes can utilize the construct much like one may don regular armor. By condensing the size of the armor, Celes allow the Astral Soul to fit close to her skin. This grants all the benefits that the Astral Soul would normally grant its user. However, the armor only fits over the appropriate body parts, effectively leaving Celes' lower body without the natural protection afforded by the Astral Soul. Additionally, this does forfeit any range advantage that the Astral Soul's enormous size would've naturally provided.

{Palms of the Astral Soul}
For 1 Chi, Celes can summon one arm, up to a maximum of four. These arms have a reach of 15 ft and have a Strength equal to Celes’ own strength. When using the Complete Astral Soul, the arms extend outward to 20 ft. Each arm must be maintained via the upkeep of Chi until it is made permanent. The upkeep cost of the arms increases with each stage.

{Visage of the Astral Soul}
For 2 Chi, Celes can summon the head of her Astral Soul. This head, while active, heightens Celes’ visual acuity by allowing her to see through the eyes of the Astral Soul. This allows her to treat her Speed as 25% higher for the purposes of perceiving high-speed movement. This bonus increases to 50% upon using the Complete Astral Soul. The upkeep cost of the Head increases with each stage.

{Arms of the Astral Soul}
For 1 Chi, Celes can summon weapons wielded by the Astral Soul. These weapons are a longsword or a shield. The longsword is 25 ft in length and the shield has a diameter of 12 ft. A weapon can be summoned upon manifesting of an arm or while the Astral Soul has one free hand. All three weapons both have an OS and durability equivalent to Celes’ Strength; Bankai increases the durability to 2x Celes' OS. While these weapons are constructs, they retain the benefits of their metal counterparts, I.E blades can still carry vibrations. These weapons can be destroyed by a 2x OS superiority to durability. Once broken, Celes may spend 1 Chi once more to resummon these weapons. As long as the weapons are not broken, Celes may dissipate the weapon from the Astral Soul’s hands. When doing so, Celes summons her own copy of the weapon in her hand that acts as her release weapon. She may transfer her copy of the weapon to the Astral Soul at will as long as it is not broken. The weapons do not have an upkeep cost.

{Ascension of the Astral Soul}By spending varying amounts of Chi, Celes can permanently grant herself the superior stages of the Astral Soul. Once a stage has been unlocked permanently, Celes does not need to spend Chi to maintain enhancements of that stage anymore. These permanent enhancements, if destroyed, allow Celes to spend Chi equivalent to 1.5x their upkeep cost, rounded down, to restore the enhancement. When restored, the enhancement returns to the current unlocked stage of Ascendant Spirit. If the Astral Soul were to regress to a previous stage, Celes can spend Chi equal to the most recently unlocked Stage to immediately upgrade back to it. For example, if Astral Soul reverts to Skeletal, she can spend 9 Chi to enhance the Astral Soul to Humanoid once more. Upgrading Ascendant Spirit lasts until the end of a regular thread such as a PVP/JT. In longer threads such as adventures, Ascendant Spirit resets on a "long rest". The requirements for upgrading or restoring Stages are:
Skeletal: 5 (Rank I)
Humanoid: 9 (Rank II)
Armored: 13 (Rank III)
Complete: 20 (Rank IV)
For another rank of Ascendant Spirit to be purchased, Celes must have at least maintained the next stage of enhancements at some point. For example, if Celes is currently using the Skeletal Astral Form, she must first purchase and maintain Humanoid Arms and Head to upgrade to rank II (Humanoid) of Ascendant Spirit. While each enhancement can be maintained individually, all enhancements must have been maintained at the next stage at least once. The only exception is Palms of the Astral Soul, which only require a minimum of two arms to be maintained to fulfill the requirement. Additionally, after upgrading Ascendant Spirit, the technique goes on cooldown for two posts before being able to upgrade again. If an enhancement is destroyed, Celes must wait 1 post before being able to restore that enhancement.

{Bankai Overall Ability: Kōgōshī Sōkō Gassō}Like most Bankai, Kōgōshī Sōkō Gassō aims to further develop Celes' manipulation of qi along with the Astral Soul she commands. Upon releasing Kōgōshī Sōkō Gassō, Ascension of the Astral Soul immediately becomes Rank IV, no matter its former Rank. Transcending the limitations of its Shikai counterpart, the durability of the Astral Soul becomes 3x Celes' OS. Celes generates 15 Chi per post and Palms & Arms of the Astral Soul now generates 15 Chi per hit. Additionally, when Celes spends Chi in addition to reiatsu for her Zanpakutō techniques, the reiatsu cost is reduced by 50%. Unlike the other stages where Celes was limited to the ground, Heavenly Sentinel grants the Astral Soul legs as Celes takes refuge in the Visage, making it much more difficult to hit her. This also increases the overall height of the Astral Soul to an imposing 40 ft. Additionally, while Bankai is active, Celes suffers less stamina drain from high-intensity movement. Instead of suffering progressively higher stamina drain every 100 speed, this is increased to every 200 speed. Heavenly Sentinel also grants the Astral Soul wings, allowing it to take to the skies and fly at a speed equal to Celes’ which gives it some much needed aerial mobility. The wings produced by Heavenly Sentinel have separate durability of 3x Celes’ OS. If the wings are reduced to 0, Celes’ cannot take flight until she uses 25 Chi to restore them. The legs are considered part of the body’s durability.
{Astral Flow}Technique Name: Astral Flow
Technique Stages: Shikai/Bankai
Technique Cost: 50 Reiatsu/5 Chi per Class starting @ Class 7
Description:By redirecting the flow of energy, Celes can effectively absorb and channel foreign spiritual energies. Celes begins by infusing the arms or weapons created by the Astral Soul with reiatsu for one post. During this time, any contact with a spiritual matter, no matter its source, will result in it being devoured by the Astral Soul and nullifying any damage or adverse effect it would have otherwise inflicted on Celes. Doing so nourishes Celes' Spirit, adding 25% of the ability's reiatsu cost, if any, to her pool. This is further increased to 50% in Bankai. Alternatively, Celes can opt to channel the spiritual energy through her Astral Soul instead. Instead of converting the ability into raw reiatsu, Celes can create 2 charges; 4 in Bankai. Celes can expend any number of charges during a physical attack, channeling the captured spiritual essence through herself. Consuming a charge increases the following strike by 25% of the ability's OS. Celes may consume more than one charge at a time, up to the number of charges she currently has, giving her the option to spend all at once for a single amplified strike or spend them one at a time for smaller bursts of power. For the duration of the attack, is treated as both physical and spiritual. Additionally, if the spiritual matter was of a certain element, Celes utilize, giving the strike simple elemental properties such as burns. Finally, Astral Flow can leech reiatsu from willing participants. By placing their hand on Celes, they may freely give up reiatsu and transfer it to Celes. The reiatsu that is transferred cannot exceed her maximum reiatsu pool.
Drawbacks: Despite Astral Flow's ability to absorb spiritual matter, it has a number of limitations. First and foremost, the OS of the spiritual matter cannot exceed Celes' own; 1.5x Celes' OS in Bankai. Additionally, Astral Flow cannot absorb anything that is higher in Class than Celes' release Class. Astral Flow requires Celes' conscientious effort to absorb matter, meaning that this technique cannot absorb anything that the Shinigami cannot react to or isn't aware of. Astral Soul has no effect on physical matter or their byproducts. For example, Astral Flow might be able to absorb reiatsu surrounding a sword, but it cannot stop the momentum of a sword swing. For as long as Astral Flow retains charges, absorbing another technique will not refresh any missing charges. Upon consuming any number of charges, they are lost no matter whether the attack lands. Astral Flow can never cause Celes' OS to exceed 3x.

{Font of Life}Technique Name: Font of Life
Technique Stages: Shikai/Bankai
Technique Cost: 50 Reiatsu/5 Chi per Stage; 100/10 Chi Reiatsu to Skip
Description: Font of Life allows Celes to modify the natural metabolism and healing of her body, granting the girl a healing factor that grows more powerful over time. Font of Life is divided into several stages of healing, each more restorative than the last. To activate Font of Life, Celes pays the cost for the highest Stage she wishes to heal. Each post, Celes heals any applicable wounds and ailments associated with each stage, along with wounds and ailments associated with each lesser stage. Font of Life ceases any healing upon reaching the highest stage paid for. Finally, Celes can pay an additional cost to skip a stage of healing, immediately heightening the restoration by one stage. By touching an ally and paying the same cost, Celes can apply Font of Life to them, affording them the same benefits. Finally, instead of restoring her own body, Celes can elect to utilize Font of Life on her Astral Soul. Doing so creates a pool every post which Celes can utilize to restore her Astral Soul. She can consume this pool on a 1:1 basis and can allocate it as needed to any damaged component of the Astral Soul. The amount added to this pool is detailed below:

{Majestic Armour}Technique Name: Majestic Armour
Technique Stages: Shikai/Bankai
Technique Cost: 100 Reiatsu/10 Chi per stage; 50 Reiatsu/5 Chi to force armor on a body part
Description: Majestic Armour allows Celes to effectively awaken the Qi in others to temporarily grant them an Astral Soul of their own. Upon touching an ally, Celes can create an Astral Soul for them up to 1 Rank lower than her current Rank in Ascension of the Astral Soul. This grants the benefactor all the inherent benefits granted by Celes' own Astral Soul. However, the durability of their Astral Soul uses Celes' OS and scales just as her own Shikai would. The benefactor, for a cost of 100 reiatsu, may generate a weapon of their choosing to be wielded by the Astral Soul. The weapon produced is up to the benefactor and benefits from any applicable weapon skills. To note, the weapon uses the users' OS, counts as a release weapon, and can channel release abilities of the user. By paying double the costs, Celes may also give legs to the Astral Soul, awarding all the appropriate benefits.
Majestic Armor can also be used to turn an opponent's body against them. Upon making contact with an opponent, Celes can forcibly layer her Astral Soul over someone else. Doing so allows Celes to move the affected body parts as she wishes with a force and speed equal to her own. For example, she could use this to force an opponent to strike themselves or to strike an ally. Alternatively, Celes can elect to exert a force equal to her own via the armor. This can potentially lead to severe crushing injuries as the opponent can find themselves in what essential acts as an Iron Maiden.

{Spirit Arsenal}Technique Name: Spirit Arsenal
Technique Stages: Shikai/Bankai
Technique Cost: 50 Reiatsu to convert an SkP | 5 Chi to convert an SkP; 100 Reiatsu for 10 projectiles | 10 Chi for 10 projectiles
Description: Able to utilize a degree of manipulation over her mind and body, Spirit Arsenal allows Celes to modify the type of weaponry she is proficient with. Upon using Spirit Arsenal, Celes' SkP becomes fluid and she can remove points from any of her skills. New weapon skills can then be created, allocating points to them as desired. Any newly created weapon skills can have a maximum of 2 SkP added to them; 4 in Bankai. Any weapon skills created this way are then added as eligible weapons to the Arms of the Astral Self. While this allows Celes to create ranged weaponry, they not only require ammo, but projectiles travel at 800 Speed; 1200 in Bankai. Weapons that have ranged properties such as a Kusarigama are instead counted as melee weapons for the purposes of this technique. When wielded by the Astral Soul, they increase to a size appropriate for use by the Astral Soul.
Additionally, Spirit Arsenal allows Celes to amplify her weaponry using the Astral Soul itself. By sacrificing durability, Celes can increase the OS of a singular weapon attack on a 1:1 basis. If the weapon uses ammo, the projectile increases in OS, but its Speed is also increased by 1 point for every 2 durability sacrificed. If Font of Life is currently applied to the Astral Soul, Celes can also draw on any combination of the Astral Soul and the pool of energy created by Font of Life.
Drawbacks:

{Qi Ignition}Technique Name: Qi Ignition
Technique Stages: Bankai
Technique Cost: 200 Reiatsu/Minimum of 1 Chi to infuse; 100Chi/10 Chi for Detonation
Description: Qi Ignition allows Celes to weaponize her life essence further by infecting others with it. Upon spending reiatsu, Celes can infuse her next attack with the Astral Soul with any amount of Chi. Upon making contact with any object or person, Celes seals the energy within the point of impact. Passively, this does not harm the object or person in any way. However, while any amount of qi is sealed within the target, Celes gains a supernatural awareness of their position. Should the opponent shift into another dimension, Celes cannot track them until they are within the same realm again. At any point, however, Celes may elect to detonate the qi originating from the point of impact. This creates an explosion with an increasing 1 ft radius per Chi infused. The explosion itself has an OS equivalent to 5% of Celes' per Chi infused. To note, the qi-infused strike and detonation hinder the body's ability to recover. HSR will find itself ineffective at healing these wounds and any techniques must be of an equal Class or higher to heal these injuries. Finally, if a non-living object is infused with at least 20 Chi, Celes may utilize Majestic Armour on it as though she were touching it, commanding it as though it were her own. In this circumstance, the Astral Soul that it generates has a Strength and Speed matching Celes' own.
