Late at night within the streets of a certain area in Tokyo, it is said that Quincy are being hunted. It is said that there is no escape from this hunting. While many have passed this off as a rumor, and sneered at it, corpses have begun piling up. Three Quincy have already been found dead. But, that is not all. Other races are beginning to be targeted. Now, representatives from the Quincy, and a couple of other races, are all being sent to meet someone with a certain proposition. Late at night within this part of Tokyo, there is a bar. Go there, find the man in black. He will be sitting at the bar, waiting for you. Your mission begins from there. Three participants in this thread, maximum. Also this is considered Easy Difficulty.
OOC Note to Keita: You're going to have to find some crafty way to get into the bar. You're 16. The legal drinking age in Japan is 20.

Keita received word of this and was left with the note. He sighed as he was now way past curfew. Now, not only was he being hunted, but he had to break laws. It was a bother but he wasn't going down this way. Then again, he wasn't really considered a quincy as his creation was a secret. However, some news must have been going around that he slew a hollow without an arrow while using a bow.
He stood now outside of the bar. He looks like an adult, but it wasn't enough. The bouncer put his body in Keita's path. He looked around him into the dark bar. Nobody in black to catch attention from here. He sighed as he was supposed to get in there. He needed an ID to enter. He figured he could instantly own this guy with his quincy powers but something told him that he wouldn't be able to get past any spiritually aware hunters that may have been in the area.
He wore his classic green outfit as he wasn't really in the mood to look like he was going to fight. He reached into his jacket's inner pocket feeling for some hollow bait as to distract the hunters in the area... however he was left without any. He sighed as that was bad planning on his part. He charged some of his reiatsu into a tiny tiny not even glowing sphere on his palm and quickly touched the man's arm, injecting him with 5 arrows worth of poison. The bouncer suddenly looked tired and fell back. A normal human wouldn't be able to take much of that poison. Five doses was like a dose of elephant tranquilizer mixed with vodka to them, non-fatal of course.
He walked in like nothing was wrong and began looking around for a man in black. Easy enough as there was only one. He walked over to the table where the man in black sat and asked, "Are you the guy who sent the message?"
"Yeah...I'm the one." The man in black said. The man in black really was in black, for he wore a black tuxedo suit with a white polo shirt underneath. The three button blazer matched very well with the pants, and the black shiny dress shoes did as well. He had a fedora in black on his lap, signifying that he wore the hat whenever he felt like going outside. For one thing, he was a pretty official looking person, but also kind of creepy.
He turned to Keita, revealing his face and head. His hair was red, and slicked back. He looked about 35. His eyes were laid back, relaxed. They were also some kind of dark red, almost blood red. From a distance, people could mistake it for brown. However, Keita and the man in black were very close at that moment, and so noticing vaguely the crimson red eyes would not be very difficult at all. Even at a glance, Keita would catch it. The man in black smiled coldly.
"I'm surprised that they sent a kid." he said. "I'm assuming you had to knock out the bouncer to get in here." The man in black waved his hand quickly, and the bartender brought over two cups of sake. He put the first in front of the man in black, another in front of Keita. "Is he of age?" the bartender asked. "Yeah, just a tad slow growing." the man in black replied. That was a good excuse. Keita could pass himself off possibly as an adult that just hadn't finished growing out of the teenage parts of life.
"Drink up. You won't get many chances to have alcohol at your age." the man in black said. He exhaled slowly. "I'm sure you've heard of the killings. That's why I called people like you here." The man in black reached into his suit, pulling out a white envelope. It was marked with a black seal in the shape of a skull. He handed it to Keita. "Not sure if you're acquainted with her, but I'd like you to get that to the Leader of your race, Shauna Melody. Can you do it?"

Shauna Melody? Who in the hell was Shauna Melody? He figured he may as well figure this out. He took a sip of the Sake and then looked at the seal on the letter that was taken out. He saw it and stared for a moment. Keita downed the rest of the Sake in his cup and said, "Yeah, I think I can do that." He then looked at the man a little closer, now seeing his red eyes. Creepy... to say the least. He figured that this could easily be a trap of some sort but then it could have not been.
He took the letter carefully, not even touching the seal of it and put it into the inner pocket of his jacket.
"Good." The man in black said, waving his hand again. The bartender put another cup of sake in front of him. The man in black picked it up, downing it like a shot in a single sip. He was a fast drinker, that much was clear. Then, the man in black exhaled slowly, as if his life depended on being mellow. He made no movements, no actions at all for a few seconds, until at last he chose to turn around, and speak to Keita again.
"Don't open the envelope. The contents are purely for Shauna." the man in black said. "While you're at it...I'm sure Shauna is hard to locate. Do you know where she is? If not, I can provide you with a guide that will allow you to locate her." Well, at least he was consistent. He really seemed to want this envelope to reach Shauna. So, what exactly was in the envelope?

Keita looked at the man as he offered some assistance with the location. However if a guide went along he may end up in some trouble because of the guide... On the other hand, he could end up in trouble anyways. He sighed... he figured he could handle it alone. "I think I can handle finding her. Perhaps you could just tell me what she looks like and I'll be able to locate her pretty well. I have myself a good sense of gut feeling, ya know!" he said in a way that sounded more like bragging and less like explaining.
He waited for the man to describe the Quincy Leader, in hopes that he might have a good clue or something.

"Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what she looks like. I have never met her." The man in black said. "Very few people have met Shauna Melody in person, you see. Only Quincy can reach her, to my knowledge." Oh, well that was just great. In the end, maybe Keita would be forced to accept the guide after all. The man in black could not give a description of what Shauna looked like, quite unfortunately.
However, perhaps Keita could find out if he found other Quincy and talked to them. After all, the man in black hadn't said that no one met her. He said that very few did, and that only Quincy could reach her. In this case, just find another Quincy, and there was a start to finding Shauna Melody. "You may need the guide." the man in black said.

He was placed in a bit of a predicament. The already low number of Quincy was dropping again. He knew that the larger concentration of Quincy moved to Japan as per the higher concentration of souls meant for higher concentration of hollow meaning easier eradication. He knew their hunting grounds himself. He could make it there, it wasn't far. "You know what? I think I can ask around for some info," he said. He smiled a bit and stood up. "Thanks for the Sake, man," he said casually as he went off in search of someone in danger, leaving the bar as quickly as he entered, and as hard to notice, despite his green outfit.
He walked the streets for a good long while, avoiding any contact with hollows looking for a combat scene with a person who could be a Quincy.
"Alright." the man in black said, turning back to his drinks as Keita left the bar. Of course, he might be expecting others as well. Quincy weren't the only ones being hunted. Perhaps he was waiting for representatives from other races too. In the meantime, Keita's journey was obviously going to take him throughout a good part of Tokyo, until Reiatsu could be sensed. And, at some point, it could be. Keita had relatively weak energy sensory, slightly below average. As a result, he couldn't sense much. But, the fact that he could sense a Reiatsu around that area meant that it was very close.
In fact, it was just around the corner. As soon as his walking brought him around that corner, it became clear that he was in a narrow alleyway. A few more steps, and he was in the heart of that alley, with a brickwall corridor to his left, marking a dead end, a trash can to his right, marking a hiding spot, and the way out of the alley behind him. Several doors were visible on the walls of the buildings that surrounded the area to make this alley. These were back entrances or exits to various purpose shops. It was a dangerous looking area. And, in the brickwall corridor to the left, a Quincy was visible. His bow was material, white, and held.
It was very small, roughly the same size as a handgun, so he held it in one hand. Arrows charged and fired out, moving towards a white frog-like hollow that approached the Quincy. He continued shooting arrows at the hollow, trying to kill it. Arrows stuck into it, but of course it didn't die, since it took quite a few arrows to kill something of that size. It didn't look like a troubling enemy, though. The Quincy had no injuries on him.

Suddenly he managed to sense some sort of reiatsu. He walked over and looked into the corridor of the alleyway. It was thin, he walked through it anyways as the spirit pressure was quite close and familiar. He hid on the wall as he peered into the scene. He smiled, as he managed to see a Quincy. For sure it was. However, he was fighting a hollow. Quite a large one.
He didn't seem to have any issues fighting this one. However, Keita was a special case. His arrows were support type as well as wonderful offensive, as compared to the other Quincies who were all about sheer destruction. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a small bar of white metal. He pressed a little button and the metal form of his bow shot out from the bar. He pulled the string from the top bar, to the bottom bar and attached.
He pulled back on the bowstring and charged up a small volley of arrows into a knocked position, before firing five at the hollow who wouldn't even detect him with all that combat going on, reducing its power to 80%.
OOC: Don't forget to dock reiatsu for the arrows! The Quincy I introduced didn't lose reiatsu because he's a short term character. Once you finish speaking with him, you'll never see him again.
IC:
The Hollow was hit, and it whirled around, roaring at where the other arrows had come from. Within seconds, it began rampaging towards Keita. Oh, crap. He'd pissed it off. But just as that was happening, a huge explosion of reiatsu occurred, and the Hollow instantly dissolved into ash, bursting away on a sudden wind. That was fast. The hollow had been exterminated instantly by something rather powerful, rather impressive. Well, slightly impressive anyway.
The Quincy took a few steps out of the brickwall corridor, looking at Keita with mild interest. He still held his bow in his hand, but it was lowered. He clearly recognized Keita's reiatsu to be akin to his own, that of a Quincy so to speak. The Quincy himself looked rather tough, actually. He had on a white tank top, and white pants, along with black dress shoes. He was tanned, appeared to be around 24, and actually very well built, muscled like a body builder. His hair was white, short in a buzz cut. His eyes were brown.
"Thanks for the assistance, even if it was unnecessary." the Quincy said. He took a look at Keita, scanning him so that he could get a proper gauging of the one before him. This guy was pretty big, several inches taller than Keita. Usually, Quincy didn't have this kind of build. They were usually smaller, frailer looking, and skinny. To have the kind of muscle that this guy did meant that he was much more about brawn than most other Quincy. The reason he had a small bow was probably because he didn't like using arrows. From the scratches here and there on him, it was clear that he often fought hollows with his fists, and won. "So, why are you here?" he asked. Oh, right. Quincy did work in teams, but foreign Quincy did not often come to another Quincy Group's turf.

Keita looked at the rather tall Quincy. Several inches taller than himself even, and that was like... unusual for Quincies. "I just felt a spirit pressure, and I decided to check it out. It isn't often I meet a fellow Quincy," he said in response to his question. He smiled a bit nervously as he was being examined or gauged by the man. He pushed the button on his bow, retracting the string, while it collapsed in on itself forming back into the little bar, placing it into his jacket pocket.
"Oh, and do you perhaps know a... Shauna Melody?" he asked.
[Forgot] 350/400 Reiatsu.

The Quincy took a long moment to pause and stare at Keita, as if Keita was a lunatic. He probably thought that Keita was retarded now. That way he looked at him showed that he was wondering if Keita was even sane, or if he had any idea of conscious thought. These looks quickly blanked from his face. "What do you mean do I know a Shauna Melody? That's the Leader of our Quincy Race. If you don't know about her, you're either retarded or dead." Well, that was a nice way of putting it. "Why? What do you need from her?"
Post by Keita Orpheus on Jan 18, 2011 15:58:05 GMT -5
Suddenly the guy was offended. Keita had no idea that the quincy around these parts were so unusually defensive. He looked at the man closely, as if making sure he wasn't obsessed or something. "I actually knew who she was, I just need to know where to locate her. I need to deliver this here letter," he said with a bored tone, showing the folded up envelope with the black skull seal.
"You're not going to find her very easily." the Quincy said. "I don't know where she is exactly, but I know that right now she's in Tokyo for some sort of business. You would do well to seek out other Quincy, stronger than me. Find more powerful Quincy, for they are probably closer to her, and actually do know her whereabouts."
