1. Starving, hungry, famished, aching to consume something, Arcadus wasn’t used to this new form of his, but he knew what he had to do. He had prepared for this. The Kennel. He’d always kept it stocked somewhat, and he’d made an effort to fill it up a bit at least before his transformation. It was getting harder to think as he rolled down the stairs in his new quadruped body. Down here was prey, down here was food. Finding himself on the bottom, Arcadus looked at the tank next to him. A fish hollow, somehe he’d taken from one of the aquatic floors of Los Noches. Slashing open the glass, Arcadus slammed a paw down on its head as he ate it.
2. The other prisoners, seeing this happen, began to panic. The closest to him, a hollow resembling a shark swam back and forth, trapped in its tank. A similar fate treaded towards it, with claws piercing through the glass. Water pouring out of the new holes, Arcadus paced back and forth, keeping pace with the prey before it was forced to flop around the base of its cell. Smashing through the glass, Arcadus cut into his fancy feast dinner, licking it clean as its soul was devoured.
3. A shinigami captured, weak and chained to the wall kicked and struggled against its restraints, seeing that the fateful day he’d been told of had come. Arcadus, as an Arrancar, had taunted them with their fate, that they had been selected to be an eventual course in his unending meal to ascend to power. They managed to summon up enough reiatsu to fire a byakurai through their chains, freeing them from the wall, but they were running on empty otherwise.
4. Arcadus, going back up the stairs for the keys, hung them from a fang, manipulating the key needed for the cell he was eyeing with his tongue before gripping it between his jaw as he inserted it into the lock. The two spirits locked eyes as he turned it in with his jaw, Arcadus rearing back before lunging and the Shinigami jumping to the side before trying to dash for the door. Arcadus swiped as his ankles, dropping him to the floor. Biting down and dragging him back, the other prisoners could hear the shinigami’s screams cut short as it was eaten alive.
5. Further down into the dungeon, an Arrancar woken up by the screams pulled himself off the dingy mat he’d been afforded, mostly made of uniforms of other prisoner’s who had died. Springing up from his bed, the spirit looked around, trying to figure out what exactly made that noise. It wasn’t uncommon for hollows to eat each other, but this might have been that shinigami on the first floor. Mustering up the rieatsu to fire a bala in both hands, he fired at the hinges of his door. Not enough, and looking down the hall, he could see a black furred tiger padding towards him.
6. Arcadus, keys in tooth, padded down the stairs to the second level. One of the prey was trying to leave, to get out, and he’d gladly help them. The arrancar gasped in horror, looking at the melted joints as the tiger charged into them, tearing the weakened hinges down under his weight. In the brief moment before combat, the two spirits locked eyes. A bala broke the silence, striking Arcadus square in the forehead. Blood poured from the wound, but in a rage the tiger flew at the arrancar, now too short on reiatsu to counter attack.
7. Arcadus clawed at the arrancar, smashing down on his prey, it had raised its arm in a guard, he bit down on it, rending it to the side to better smash down on its skull. Dragging the corpse to the back of the cell, Arcadus feasted on the creature he so wished to return to being. This form, it didn’t suit him. He felt awful anytime he glimpsed a reflection of himself, of this animalistic form. He didn't want to dwell on it much, but he could feel it sticking in his mind.
8. Down the hall, another arrancar freed itself from its prison cell, bursting out into the hall. Seeing the black clad hollow exit the cell in front of the stairs, the Arrancar sprinted for the stairs, hoping to pass the hollow. Not so, as Arcadus slid a back paw out to trip his prey. They didn’t fall flat, catching themselves on the bars of an empty cell, and trying to charge some kind of short range bala. Biting down on their wrist to aim it away, Arcadus began smashing their head against the floor, clawed paw cutting tracks in the scalp of the man he was killing.
9. Fighting back, the arrancar let go of the cell bar, falling to the ground to kick back at the tiger, forcing both himself back and the tiger away from him. Rolling to his feet, the arrancar had bypassed the monster he had to to get to the top floor, and potentially even escape. But he was dazed, injured and weakened. He wasn’t going to match the speed of the tiger bearing down on him, and as he reached the steps, his head connected with the sharp corner, smashing his skull in.
10. Screams quickly turned to gurgling as the Arrancar’s throat was cut, the munching of sharp teeth through flesh, muscle, skin, fat, the sickening crunch of bone. Making his way through this particular course, the weak pats of its fist as it had given up on escape, and now his prey had decided to try and resist him in some capacity, ineffectual as it might be. Batting aside their remaining arm, Arcadus chowed down on them in earnest before scanning the hall for any more morsels.
11. Another shinigami, this one captured maybe a week ago, took the distraction to worm his way through the bars, being strong enough to bend them enough and flexible enough to slide through. Ducking down, the Shinigami started sprinting for the stairs, leaping up over the cat to try and make it out. Arcadus, having finished this morsel, welcomed this new one deciding to rush straight for him, though he couldn’t catch him going over his head. Clawing at their robe as they made it up the stairs, the shinigami slipped on one of the shards of glass, falling onto one of the cell’s bars to steady himself. But that pause was all Arcadus needed to catch up.
12. Bounding after yet more prey, Arcadus pounced on them, taking them down and aiming to throw their head onto a shard of glass. The shinigami was able to avoid it but still got a face full of shards. Clawing at the back of the shinigami’s neck, Arcadus raked through their back, claws digging deep enough to hook onto the ridges of his vertebrae. Biting down on the shinigami’s neck, Arcadus ate and ate, happy to spit out the shards of glass as he finished.
13. Having wet his palette with more lively meals, Arcadus moved on to other fare, something less likely to put up a substantial fight. Picking a cell at random, Arcadus opened the door and slunk in, chasing its inhabitant around the cell. Said inhabitant was closer to a pigeon than any other kind of animal, though it was hard as hell to catch it as it fluttered about the room, trying to escape its predator. Finally slapping it down, the tiger picked it apart with its ivory white claws, spitting out the feathers as he stepped back out into the hallway.
14. Second verse same as the first, Arcadus padded into another cell having a kind of bird resembling a chicken, though it had a needle like beak. Pecking at him, Arcadus batted aside its pecks and stabs as they two of them danced around the pen. Arcadus swiped at its neck, taking its head off, and watched in bemusement as the chicken’s body kept running at him. Picking it up, Arcadus chowed down as he enjoyed the second poultry course. What a delightful way to sate his hunger.
15. Arcadus, sated for now, strode out of the cell to see a dog hollow, white mask a skull, like his. They stared at each other for maybe a minute, sizing each other up. The dog moved first, charging in against the larger foe. Arcadus reared up before slamming down, missing the dog as it bit as his underside. Moving forward, so that the dog was behind him, Arcadus kicked back against it, throwing it down on the glass covered floor. Turning again and batting it against the ground, Arcadus enjoyed another morsel.
16. One last challenger had managed to make their way out of the cells, this one bipedal with opposable thumbs, had grabbed the keys throught the bars of its cell, and had made it halfway up the stairs before Arcadus noticed it. It came from the second lower floor, trudging up, careful not to slip on the water that had made its way to flow down the stairs. Arcadus looked at it for a second before galloping towards it, the distance covered in a few seconds. Lunging at it, it dodged, but Arcadus bounced off of the wall, leaping again onto it and tackling it down the stairs, killing it. The final morsel of this meal, Arcadus enjoyed it to its fullest.
Consumption: 2 Class 7 Arrancar, 6 Class 8 hollows 2 Class 8 shinigami
1. Rising from finishing his first course of his feast, Arcadus could hear the echoing of steel doors being bent and hammered out of place till they clattered to the floor. Further down, maybe two floors down. Arcadus bounded down there, excited to find what new meal had decided to uncan itself for him. Another Arrancar! What a desirable feast, and as Arcadus put pads to tile, he couldn't wait to clash with the Arrancar. Even in this dimished form, he'd prove his superiority innate to his soul.
2. The arrancar in question had busted out of it's cell, Arcadus had come down the stairs of the floor, the two seeing each other, began their mutual charge. They met, their strength evenly matched. Arcadus pressed against him, but the bipedal humanoid form of this creature gave it the advantage, his size working against the feline build of the hollow. Thinking fast, Arcadus slipped downwards, driving into the gut of the arrancar, teeth biting into his abdomen as Arcadus thrashed his whole body in an attempt to throw his opponent.
3. While a throw was unsuccessful, Arcadus was able to push him back and bite into him deep, and the man raised his hands together in a hammer blow to try and end the jaws biting towards his guts. Slamming down on the hollow, Arcadus fell, rolling onto his back to slash at the man who, foolishly went to grapple with the creature. A slash to the hand stunned the man enough for Arcadus to roll to his feet, lunging for the throat and biting down. A crunch of bone confirmed the kill. Devouring him in the now silent jail was interrupted as one Arrancar had finally bent the bars enough to slide out. Arcadus, much like a cat havign stolen a treat it wasn't supposed to have, gulped it down and ran.
4.Instead of running away however, Arcadus ran towards the next meal, this one similarly strong. They did not clash as before, as Arcadus leaped to land on thier chest and shoulders and biting down on their head, fangs biting through skin, muscle and into bone. They threw the cat off of them, swinging them like a ragdoll before the cat skidded on the ground, claws sparking against the tile. With a wild cat howl, Arcadus charged again against his foe.
5. This time, sliding along the tile from the blood spilt from the head wound of the larger creatuer, Arcadus slashed at the man's legs cutting deep enought to knick the hamstrings, which snapped in their now weakened state. Falling to his knees the arrancar still fought, swinging behind him to try and end this hollow monster. His blind swing connected, and Arcadus fell back, but rolling to his feat, could tell that htis fight was almost over.
6. As the man, now on his knees, tried to turn to face his opponent, Arcadus raked his claws down the man's back, forcing him to the ground. Despite the Arrancar's attempt to stand, Arcadus's claws bashed his head against the tile. Again, again, again, till his prey stopped moving. Beginning to eat this meal, Arcadus decided it would be wise to move on to greener pastures after this one was finished. As to where, he wasn't quite sure, but he was sure it would present itself soon.
