The scent was strong more and more scents carried with them something extra. This was something that all of the wolves could tell now. They’d been hunting down those that had been like them, normal. What they could smell now in Sendai it was almost like the King. The potency of the scent was alluring, like the intoxicating scent of cooked meat. Whoever was carrying the scent was the reason that howl had just been released. A howl they all knew only meant one thing especially when it ended so abruptly. Someone had managed to not just find a member, but kill a member of the pack. Now the pack had to hunt down this want to be predator.

Impo and Ren wasted no real time conversing with one another and preparing for what they could tell was a cry for help. While Impo had already proven his flood ability to be overwhelming, would the fragile cannon be enough to handle multiple wolves? Ren had come in at the last second claiming a kill many wouldn’t deem his own, did he have what it’d take now to claim one by his own merits? Blair in her cautious approach felt what many prey did once the eyes of the predator were upon them. The young blonde for a moment would feel a sensation though more intense than what was already running throughout her nerves. It’d feel like a large mouth was enclosing around her throat.

A single moment where she’d swear that teeth had been pressing on her, the warm breath on her and then in the blink of an eye nothing. These wolves could see her and knew she was one of the special prey. Just like the other three, the two on the roof that glowed strangely, the blonde and the redhead that was chasing after one of them. Four individuals that all smelled different than normal humans, smelled better than them. The redhead was getting closer to the building they were all converging on now which meant the prey was all in one location.

It’d only be a couple moments that would be filled with each individual feeling that strange sensation. All of them would feel like dozens of eyes were glued to them, almost like they were in a pit surrounded by feral Hollows. These wolves though weren’t Hollows so they couldn’t be that bad . . right? A howl would wash across the area one in unison from all the pack present, loud to the point of being deafening, then it’d happen. The roof would collapse beneath both Failures dropping Impo and Ren into a kitchen as a wolf each rushed in and attempted to bite the right shoulder. Blair would have to avoid, counter or deal with a wolf dropping down from above using its weight to slam her down onto the ground while its claws dig into her forearms. As for Scarlet, well the wolf she was chasing would manage to double back and now was coming up from behind in an attempt to slash her lower back the moment she took a turn.

Yeah, this was worse than he had anticipated. He had assumed there were anywhere between five to ten of these cheap Hollywood knockoffs, but their number far surpassed that, maybe by an order of magnitude, though he wasn't exactly wasting his focus on exactly how many there were right now. All he knew was that there was a lot, and he would have to be careful. He had to protect himself, as well as the potential walking nuke next to him. He really didn't feel like blowing up from another fellow with a similar skin condition as himself.

Add to the fact that there were two more people being targeted by the wolves the two of them had accidently summoned, and he could safely say he wasn't having the best of nights. And then the howling started. He dropped his sword, hands shooting to his ears, covering them the best they could. The Failure was screaming in pain from the noise, desperate to drown out the downright unholy sounds they were making. He was sure his eyes were bloodshot, and he could feel something wet against his hands. He snapped for a minute.

"QUIET!"

He yelled back, sounding as much a roar as the piecing howls of the wolves. However, even his voice was drowned out by a new noise that reverberated through the air. The skulls were roaring, growing, changing into something monstrous. Necks growing from the floating heads, growing torsos, ribs, arms, legs, tails? A full skeleton was forming from what seemed to be nothing. The skulls grew, large enough to swallow a man whole. Each head split in three, with the one on the left staying as a single being, while the one on the right grew into three beings.

"DRAGON!" He yelled, once the four dragons were fully manifested. A forty foot Western dragon with three heads on his left, three thirty foot Eastern dragons on his right. Each with grinning human skulls for their heads. It was taxing on his reiatsu, and it left him feeling more than a little drained, but there were too many here. His senses were being assaulted, and he wasn't sure how to stop it right now. "KILL THE WOLVES!" Was all he could get out, much too winded to go into more detail. That wasn't the only thing that cut him off, however.

The roof caved in under them, and he panicked. He couldn't afford to detonate from something this embarrassing. His hand moved above his head, fingers outstretched, grasping for a ledge he couldn't reach in time. The sword leapt to his waiting palm, giving him something to hold, saving him from the ground below. He hoped that Ren was strong or fast enough to same himself from lethal injury. He was lucky that he was lower in power. Failures were at their most unstable the further they progressed, though his less than solid state might imply that he would pop if smacked too hard. Or landed in an unfortunate way.

Ren would find his fall broken by Impo's flood, grabbing him for a moment, before placing him onto the broken roof now covering the flood of the kitchen they were now in. The smell of dust and plaster were overpowering. He needed to get over this sensory overload before he went mad. Not to say it wasn't useful, as he felt, more than heard, the two wolves attacking them both. Impo pointed a finger at the one attacking Ren, a ball of red energy flying from the extended digit. Bakudo number Nine: Geki, striking the monster, paralyzing it, hopefully giving the Knight more than enough time to kill it.

As for the one attacking him, well, he let go of his sword, dropping down to the floor. The sword slammed into the beast's skull, embedding itself to the hilt, either killing the beast instantly, or sheathing itself down to the spine, cutting off its ability to move. "Alright, this is bad." He said to the other Failure. "There's a whole lot more of then than I was expecting, and I'm burning through my reiatsu too quickly. How does your Flood work?" Impo asked the man, trying to breath through his shirt, coughing as he did so.

While this was happening, the dragons were on the move. The three serpent-like skeletons were moving at a speed of 800, each moving to tear into the closest wolves with their teeth. The larger Western dragon bellowed out three roars, as it belched out plasma-like flames, the kind the skulls would have normally fired, if they had remained as they were. The attacks were widespread, aiming towards the largest cluster of wolves it could see, wanting to bath the enemies of its creator in a supernatural heat. To onlookers, it might look like the dragons were laughing.

Technique Description and Effects: [This ability is not a stand alone technique. This ability takes any other ability and changes it. At class three, this ability takes any technique and turns it into one of two dragons. The first dragon option is the serpentine dragon of the East. The Asian dragon, extremely prominent in mythology and even certain parts of history. This dragon is twenty feet long, and comes with or without wings. The next dragon is the feared dragon of the West, most known for terrorizing the masses, and being slain by the knight. This dragon is twenty feet tall, and has one head.

Each dragon is comprised of whatever technique was used in conjunction with. The dragons are able to think and act independently, slaying anything in their path save for their master. The dragons will follow simple orders that their masters give out, but they will do said orders in their own manner. Each dragon is able to breath flames, carrying the same effects and combat stat as the ability that the dragon is formed from. If the dragon is slain, by any attack equal to or over 3/4 the rs of the original technique, will explode equal to its rs into the sky destroying everything above it in a violent pillar of reiatsu. The dragon's strength is 800, with 600 being the speed for the Western dragon, with the opposite being true for the Eastern dragon.

At proficient, the caster can create two Eastern dragons, each twenty five feet long, or a Western dragon standing thirty feet tall with two heads.

At mastered, the caster is able to create three Eastern dragons, each thirty feet long, or a Western dragon standing forty feet tall with three heads.

Each dragon is the same class as the ability used to make it, and are subject to regular clash rulings.]

Technique Description and Effects:

Fires a red light from the caster's fingertips, not unlike a Hollow's Cero, though far smaller and weaker. Anyone caught in the red light will be paralyzed for one post. The paralysis can be shrugged off with equal reiatsu strength, but this takes a few seconds. Superior reiatsu strength of 25% or higher will allow a very fast removal of Geki's effects. 50% or higher makes it instantaneous.

How to use technique:

Requires the caster to aim, not unlike use of any Hado technique.

Incantation and Effect:

Incantation causes technique's size to double, but does not include any reiatsu strength bonuses. ("Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!")

Akasawa froze up in his guard position. He hadn't expected an overwhelming aura of predatory menace, not in that he didn't think the wolves were capable of it, but rather that it was disturbing that anything could pierce the depths of his flood to the point where his drowned heart could actually understand what kind of feeling it was. The howl that followed had been expected in every aspect, save for its sheer integrity. There had been a return to the unexpected with the horrifying skull dragons. With that gruesome display following so closely after the fold-spindle mutilation of the first wolf, he had to assume that the stranger's pajamas were actually part of an intentional nightmare theme on their part—truly appropriate heraldry for one who made a habit of such unnerving sorceries.

The fall was the least pleasant of that moment's batch of surprises, and it sent him tumbling until he twisted into a controlled sword-first plunge intended to force the brunt of the impact onto the blade of light. Though the intervention of Impossible's flood made it such that the impact had been minimal at best, and allowed him to adjust to holding the blade low, with point just off the ground in a fool's guard by the time he noticed the wolf targeting him. He threw himself into a two-handed upward slice, and before it connected, the incoming kido had struck the wolf and bound it in front of him with a vibrant red glow entirely unlike the dirty red light his halo lent the heavily damaged room. Ren hadn't let that interrupt his swing, and he cleaved a diagonal stroke that trailed the glowing sword's light in a crescent through the air and quite likely through the bound wolf, rending it from hip to shoulder should nothing have intervened.

That question. [smear:0066CC]"How does your flood work?"[/smear:A0B1C2] He thought he understood their meaning, but why phrase it like that? Would they have asked anyone else how their wounds or disabilities worked? "I understand. You're worried it will get in the way. This flood that's haunting me won't hurt 'ya." He replied, arms bent to hold his borrowed swords hilt above and slightly to the side of his head, point forward with the blade parallel to the rubble-strewn floor. He'd need to use air-ground to walk slightly over the surface just to avoid cutting his feet once he started moving about. "Anyone stands close to me for long; the flood gets wounded and makes a bloody mess of everything. Never figured out what its deal was, think it wants something from people 'n gets hurt on the jagged edges of their souls lookin' for it." Ren's voice tinged with melancholy when he explained Blood Drive's nature. This wasn't something he should be talking about with anyone, but he did owe them for the sword that just defended him from one of the beasts.

[Blair Aldaine ❅]

Shock hit the young woman faster than any other feeling could, making her eyes widen with panic as she gasped. She was too afraid to look around, paralyzed with fear and uncertainty. This sensation was impossible to shake off. It wasn't only as if someone were watching her, but it was also like some massive jaws were only moments away from snapping her head right off. The pressure was building, sweat dripping down one side of her face as she prepared herself to do the only thing she could think of; punch and run. Her muscles tensed, preparing her for the inevitable, giving her a chance to get ready to fight-

Then it stopped. She spun around quickly and looked in every way possible, unable to see anything. She clenched her hands into fists out of frustration, hating her lack of experience that led to this kind of thing happening to her. She was being watched. There really must not be only one of these things out there but she didn't love the idea of finding out how many existed. Still, she was ordered to handle it. Simple enough, right? Maybe she could put her powers to good use after all. Maybe she could prove herself enough to earn the next step that could make her stronger.

Suddenly, a loud howl pierced Blair's ears, causing her to hold her hands against them in an effort to stop them from hurting. The loud noise caught her off-guard so she was trying desperately to keep a leash on her sanity, trying not to use her powers too early from something like fear or surprise. She had to control herself properly. She wasn't going to lose it in the middle of this place and do something she'd regret. Blair's tightly-shut eyes slowly opened as the howl dissipated, but it was very quickly replaced with the sound of a building crashing in on itself.

She didn't have time to pay much attention to it, though, because she sensed a wolf dropping from the sky, causing her to glance up and make eye contact briefly before forcing herself to move out of the way. Being only slightly slower than the creature that descended upon her, while she was able to move, she lifted her left arm and clicked her tongue at the three claw marks that damaged her skin and clothes. That's what she gets for not listening to the higher-ups and being unable to train with Shizuka much. She didn't have any knowledge of any techniques at all. Well, she did know about one thing.

Blair's focus changed to the ground beneath the wolf creature as she forced it to sink down, creating holes big enough for only the beast's feet to fall into before closing up again immediately. Her hope was to immobilize it as much as possible while she sought help. She knew a couple of people were in the building next to her, but she didn't exactly want to draw attention to herself. Still, the risk might be worth it. She just couldn't rely on her Fullbring yet. She couldn't rely on the person she became when she used it.

"Hey!" The blonde called out, hoping she was loud enough for them to hear. "Can anybody hear me? There's a giant wolf out here and I might need some help!"



Blair's Remaining Reiatsu: 5,950 (-50 for Soul Command)

[Scarlet]

Running as she was, Hikari kept looking up at the top of the buildings on both her sides. She’d fought off enough Hollows that moving throughout alleyways was second nature in a way now. She had to make sure that this wolf couldn’t get the drop on her from the roof of either buildings nor that it was clinging to the side of one above her. Thankfully though that didn’t seem to be the case and now she was only a few more steps away from getting to the end of the alleyway. Once she reached the street she’d have to really look around and hope that she could spot the wolf otherwise she’d be in trouble. Finding it was a matter of luck and now she was risking not being that lucky again.

That didn’t end up mattering though as Hikari heard the howl across the area and right away felt the stability in her legs fail her. Dropping to the cement on her knees Hikari’s eyes widened in shock as her heart beat fast enough she could feel it in her throat. Her ears rang like a gun had just been fired off right beside her head. That wasn’t the cause for the expression of fear and shock written across her face. No, that was caused by the sensation that she was being stared at, by many wolves. She’d just been looking over everything to make sure that nothing was in view and now it felt like everything around her was looking right at her like food!

Although her hearing wasn’t the greatest, it was developed enough that Hikari could hear the sound of something so massive landing on the ground behind her. A moment that’s all she had to snap out of her fear and pull backwards on the shaft of her Fullbring. A large battle axe with a spike at the bottom of its shaft essentially making it a spear as well. That spike would find the torso of the werewolf before its claws could reach her back or so she hoped. Having no clue what the wolf was going to do in actuality Hikari rolls forward letting go of her Fullbring in order to turn and then stand up. She’d been envisioning that the wolf was going to try and bite her head clean off from behind. Whether successful or not, Hikari would hear the sound of a familiar voice asking for help.

Rushing headlong at the werewolf now Hikari would reach out to grab at the section between the two faces of her Fullbring. If she could manage to grab it then she’d be able to use it like a spear and pull it from the wolf. If the wolf dodged and her Fullbring was on the ground though she’d do her best to pick it up and ready right away. Concentrating her reiatsu as much as possible Hikari would inhale and then breath out executing the technique she’d named Brilliant Breeze to send the werewolf backwards far enough away she’d be able to get away. “Damn it Blair what are you doing here!” Doing her best to reach the sound of Blair’s voice Hikari would hopefully reach her fast enough to see the werewolf she was trapping and then swing at the wolf with every intention of cleaving its legs from the rest of its body.

Masterfully done or extremely lucky so far, these were how most onlookers would describe the events as they were unfolding. Impo was proving that despite his rusty state for combat his experience was paramount to survival. The strange dragon entities form from his reiatsu would maneuver across the exterior of the apartment building managing to bring down more and more of the werewolves as they were spotted as the raw power that each possessed was more than enough to burn through the wolves.

As for both Failures getting dropped into the apartment they’d survived although Impo and Ren speaking to one another openly was enough to potentially turn the tides. The dragons over the course of just a few moments would be able to dwindle down the number of wolves approaching but then nothing would be in view. It was now apparent that a headlong charge outside was impossible. Thus the wolves would approach in a different way. How though was now the question? Impo and Ren though would be alerted to Blair as her voice carried up and into the apartment from outside.

Blair, while she’d taken a slight bit of damage from the claws of the werewolf, didn't waste any time managing to slow it down. Its feet trapped in the pavement kept it from rushing her although its massive maw and eyes wouldn’t leave her sight. Struggling against the hold the pavement would begin to crack easily as the werewolf snarled and barked, biting at Blair from a distance. The moment it got free she would know it’s much larger figure was going to be on her. As for Scarlet she’d managed to stab the stomach of the wolf that’d snuck up behind her. The wound wasn’t deep enough though and the wolf hearing the sounds of its pack mates dying from the dragons, well it took off.

That left Scarlet free to approach Blair. Getting right at the werewolf with intent to slash its legs out from under it only for the massive European dragon with its human face to bite down on the werewolf leaving only its lower paws in the pavement. These dragons were massive and ugly, disturbing even to look at. Would the Failures and the Fullbringers be able to work together? Where were the werewolves now? What caused so many of them to appear in this city suddenly? There were too many damn questions!

[Impossible]

"...What?" Was all Impo could say in response to the knight's answer. Apparently he saw his Flood as a curse? But that wasn't how a Flood worked. Floods were an extension of the user, their will given manifest, and in some cases, they were as useful as the user's own limbs. More so in some cases. The power of his Flood was to injure those nearest the knight, which was a decent power for combat, but apparently it wasn't applicable to this fight, or so he believed from how he speaks of it.

That was strange in and of itself, but there wasn't any time to dwell on it. The wolves were back, albeit not attacking them, at the moment. Someone was screaming outside. Was there nothing that could go right this night? He couldn't let anyone else die, not from these stupid wolves. Where was anyone from UE at a time like this? Surely this was on a large enough scale that they should have intervened by now. Heck, where were the Shinigami? Wasn't dealing with nonsense like this this their job? Their existence couldn't be just to kill hollows, could it? Weren't they supposed to protect the living world from the spiritual?

He turned to Ren. "That isn't how your Flood should be working, but we have to move. I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea to be trapped in a confined space like this, and the Wolves might just try to collapse the building if we stay here. We need to get out." He told the other Failure. He could blast his way out, but he didn't think he could afford to burn even more reiatsu than he already had. Sure, the Dragons were doing work, but that wasn't a trick he could do many more times, maybe twice if he pushed himself. His hands were already shaking from destabilization.

[Ren Akasawa]

There were too many questions, but how the flood that clung to Ren should work wasn't worth following up on at the time. "Like I said, it won't hurt anything but itself. Stay focused on the battle." Ren shrugged in response, not particularly caring for any opinions the pale stranger had about how a flood should work. His own experience had taught him how Blood Drive behaved; the flood swam in the thin layer of spiritual pressure that poured from the lines of light carved into his body, but was separate enough from the would-have-been knight that it had its own feelings that often contradicted his own, constraints it would or could not even attempt to act against with whatever limited will it had, and no real effect on anyone other than him.


The question he had chosen to focus on was where the wolves would be attacking from in the next few moments. He'd been threatening the door with a guard position as the most obvious angle of attack he needed to watch. Beyond that, he was wary of attacks from above with the open-air exposure. Those were the obvious entrances, which made them the obvious exits as well. "Out the door, or up and over?" The may-have-been knight gestured with the tip of his borrowed sword as he took the first step into the air, intended to avoid any potentially harmful debris from the ceiling collapse, even if they ultimately tried the floor-level exit. Combat in the air lacked a certain sense of appeal, though it was hard not to see it as the practical route back to the streets outside.


There was something else, too. A shout in the distance? He couldn't make out the details worth his investment in immediate defenses, but if that was the enemy's working, then they needed to start in that direction. He could also sense the flood's activity had reached the halfway point of its usual fanatical observations and considered running a different path than his temporary ally just to interrupt the process before it could get in the way.

[Scarlet]

Fighting off and bringing down one of these strange werewolf looking monsters was enough and yet as if things couldn’t get more confusing or challenging then came the massive dragons that just started eating all the wolves. “What the hell is going on?” Scarlet spoke to herself as she watched one of the massive dragons just fly around. She’s been developing what she could do as a Fullbringer and yet something on the scale that she was witnessing right now just seemed impossible to do. How could someone possess let alone control such a mass of reiatsu? The sound that came from above in the apartment building ripped her from her thoughts.

Wasting as little time as possible since she had no clue what was going on inside, Scarlet jumps up with all the strength in her legs and then pushes off the wall to get further height. She reaches her goal by landing up and into the apartment through a large hole in the side. She’d been stressed and scared that she was going to see some poor family torn apart by the wolves. Thankfully though what she saw was just some strange men that were glowing standing in the apartment. Wait why were they glowing!

She had no clue anything about what would make someone glow the way both these guys were, but now she had questions and based on what she’d seen the last few minutes she had to get answers. Holding her Fullbring out at the one with white hair, Scarlet asked with a piercing gaze. “Are you behind the wolves or the dragons?” Scarlet had no clue if they were either, but she had to be ready. Friend or foe this entire city was in danger now which meant finding and getting rid of whatever was causing that danger.

"I think out the door would be a better option." Impo replied to his new ally. There were scarce few options that he would consider good at the moment, but making their way through the building might give them a chance to funnel the wolves into a tighter space, at least until they catch on to their plan. He couldn't tell exactly how intelligent these things were, but he could easily see that they were extremely determined if they were willing to go this far for the death of only one of their own. He hadn't been keeping track of however many they've taken out, but he was pretty sure they were falling right into a sunk cost fallacy. They'd either keep coming till they've been wiped out to the last, or the smartest of them would eventually fall back.

Only time would tell which side lasted longer, them or the hoard, but numbers and time weren't on their side right now. They needed something to tip the odds in their favor. Which is when he heard someone yelling outside. "On second thought, we might want to get out sooner rather than later." Impo peeked out a nearby window, spying a blond girl covered head to toe in pink. She was combating a wolf of her own, the beast having partially sunk into the street below it. Impo cursed under his breath, hefting his sword like a javelin, before launching it towards the immobilized beast. With any luck, the blade would nail the wolfman through the skull. He'd leave the sword there, hoping the girl might use it to defend herself.

"Where the fuck are those bastard Shinigami anyway? You'd think this is the kind of shit they'd be all over, but no, their lazy asses can't be bothered." Impo swore aloud, cursing the situation they were all in. He takes a few steps back, ready to exit through the hole they had made earlier, when a ginger with a lava ax slams down through it. Impo just palms his face at the sight of the woman, her appearance doing nothing to help his sensory headache. "Do I fucking look like I'm responsible for the werewolves!?" Impo was in no mood for this. "Apparently Karakura has a secret army of wolfmen ready and willing to die at the drop of a hat!" He threw his arms in the air at the absurdity of the situation. "How do I know that you aren't responsible for them, little miss Buffy the Vampire slayer?" There wasn't a chance in Hell that he was taking the blame for this, shifting the blame back at her.

Roars rolled through the building like thunder, making the Failure flinch, covering his ears for a moment. "I needed something to hold off the hoard for awhile, and they were my best option at the time." He added a few seconds after the fact. He was struggling to keep himself standing after that, and the nearby chair was looking evermore tempting a prospect. He doubted he would be able to pick himself back up if he gave in, however. "I'm low on reiatsu. Unless you have a plan, our best bet is to keep mowing these freaks down until they retreat, or we do. I'm open to suggestions."

[Ren Akasawa]

As he watched his temporary comrade hurl their blade of light out of a window, Akasawa directed the closest thing to a glare the quarter-melted failure could manage. Given a lack of visible eyes to work with in the generalized red glow that spilled from the hood of his cloak, it wasn't much of one, but the sense of disapproval from his reaction was still evident. Then he put that moment of questionable decision-making on his ally's part aside and took the first two steps towards the exit. "Do not expect the shinigami's aid; they care not for the living, only-" With just short of perfect timing, Scarlet's arrival had shot down whatever rotating sermon Ren had begun to leap into before it could take flight. That was, with certainty, for the best, as based on her question, it appeared that the young woman with the axe had taken a similar wicked sorcerer-esque first impression from Impossible to the one Ren had, and the impression would likely have been worse if the discussion had turned in the direction of the vandenreich. The rust-red failures appearance was bad enough, with the ragged white cloak, dark red halo that slowly dripped with liquid light, and a human-seeming torso attached to arms that were perpetually melting into glowing reishi.

"Only in that we're chasing after them. I desire to pile these wolves' hides upon the altar of the Emperor." He flourished the sword of white light in his hands as part of his answer to the bright red stranger's question, an answer that was as straightforward as possible, given that it had to be filtered through the may-have-been knight's worldview. Who? What vampire? Impossible's reference had flown over the failure's head and the continuously melting halo that adorned it. He couldn't hold onto that thought for long; Blood Drive had already distracted him with its newfound focus on the axe-bearer. That hadn't taken any of the flood's attention away from the other failure; rather, it continued gazing at the failure as it had while growing new metaphorical eyes to stare at the new stranger with the same intensity. Same old flood; whatever it looked for in people, it was so desperate that it took every opportunity it got to check. Just another reason he couldn't understand the flood's alien mindset.

"Allow me to cut a path to somewhere you can rest if your soul has run dry; I have yet to tire of the ring of blade against claw." Sure, he wasn't as energetic as he was at the start of the conflict, but it seemed like a fair fight in his mind, given that the wolves seemed to lack the ability to use direct spiritual attacks just like he did. And he didn't get the opportunity to cut down unique monsters like this often, either. Truthfully, the self-titled knight hadn't actually spent much of his reserves by that point. Those reserves were stamina, as his cracked soul could only hold the smallest dregs of reiatsu, and the flood haunting him had ensured that high-speed movement via stepping through the dangai was the only spiritual technique he could still reliably use anymore. The only other trick he had was the blade of pressurized gravitation, which had degenerated enough to become a last resort already, and Ren was well aware that he was in the process of losing the ability to use that technique entirely. He would be fighting purely on his physical strength, tonight and every night to come. He accepted that as he finished walking to the room's exit.

Everything had happened too quickly for Blair to notice much. Despite the fact that she'd had someone familiar appear and disappear in a matter of moments, she hadn't been paying attention enough to be able to catch Scarlet. The girl must've been distracted, as well, because she didn't say anything to Blair either. So much was going on at once that it was tough to follow. Plus, before she knew it, the wolf that was going to attack her was impaled by a sword. She'd managed to trap it, but that wasn't enough to finish the job. Something else had gone after this thing, so the blonde looked at the sky to see if she could find whatever it was.

No one came after the weapon, so Blair took it upon herself to grab it and rip it out of the wolf's corpse. Someone else really was out there, then. Someone was watching her and saw her, which means they had to have been close by in some way. Scouring the world around her, Blair threw some feelers out there to the best of her ability in an effort to track down whoever could have donated such a helpful item to Blair's cause. They had good aim, at least, so maybe that meant they were on her side and could help. Outside of that, it was clear that she needed to figure out where these things were coming from.

"I have to find other people," she whispered, almost hoping anyone would find her. "I might have an idea of where to start, too."

Following her gut, Blair climbed on Air Ground as much as she could to peer around the buildings and see through the windows. She managed to spy a group of three people talking to each other, and one of those people was Hikari! The anxiety that the blonde felt boiling up inside started to dissipate quickly even though there were still two others that she hadn't yet met. With sword in-hand, she descended upon the group and glanced at each one, trying to figure out who they could all be. Clearly, Hikari was a Fullbringer. They'd had that conversation. But what about the other two? What could they be?

"At least I know one of you, but you other two-" She pointed at both Impo and Ren. "-are kind of suspicious. There are reports all over the place about these beasts. What the heck is happening?"

“Vampires? What? A simple no was all you had to say dumbass.”

As if a first meeting could have gone worse Scarlet already had a bad optio of the rainbow warrior that seemed to constantly be changing color for no fucking reason! His attitude sucked which in turn caused Scarlet’s own to sour in this all around bad situation. The dragons made of reiatsu continued to tear through basically everything while they hunted down the werewolves all over the place and just like that this douche decides to take credit for making them. Scarlet sneered as she felt an intense rage burning up in her abdomen.

“You had no other options than to help destroy the city while making everyone deaf? They seem pretty held off from you by them, but now you’re asking for suggestions? What kind of bullshit is that.” This guy was weird and stupid, just like that he wasn’t alone though as the other individual that looked like a rust mannequin with a cloak over it started to say something about the werewolves being on the altar of some Emperor. Scarlet, having no interaction with the Vandenreich had no clue what this guy was on about and thus concluded that she’d come across two complete morons.

At least this guy seemed willing to keep up the fight and even suggested he go first. The other she couldn’t believe had used what seemed like most of his power to form those dragons and now made it sound like he couldn’t risk doing anything! What was the point of having such a large scale power if it left you laying in bed. Did he think he was going to be fighting some old fashion war with rows and rows of enemies that his dragons could just roll over without ever being in danger himself? She’d already said enough, but couldn’t believe he hadn’t just been killed by some meager Hollow that could teleport.

Ths when Scarlet heard Blair speak up, instinctively turning her head to look and find Blair right away. “Not sure where or why the werewolves are coming, but dipshit here made the dragons. You alright though Blair?”

The massive dragons of reiatsu moved throughout the few blocks of the city constantly searching for the members of the pack. It didn’t take long for most of the pack mates to be swallowed whole by the dragons due to their immense size and speed. The wolves outnumbered basically everything other than the rats in the city right now and yet they were being cleaned out like vermin all the same. These damn dragons wouldn’t be broken by their claws or muscles and now they couldn’t even track down the one that’d made the dragons spring up. Blood all over this area cloaked everyone’s scent. Thus the wolves started to hide, moving inside buildings and staying quiet so the dragons couldn’t find them.

“Siblings return to the pack. We’ve lost enough for the moment.”

A message from the Alpha that all members of the pack could hear within their own mind. It wouldn’t take long, but over the course of time that the Failures and Fullbringers spoke all the wolves would vanish with the only trace of them being blood. Perhaps if these people looked around they’d be able to figure out some sort of hint to track down the wolves. If they didn’t find out where they’d all gone then the problem was just going to start again whether it be today or some point down the line. The people of the city didn’t shouldn’t have to live in fear yet the Shinigami weren’t on the scene so would these people continue to step up or not?
