Technique Description and Effects: This technique represents the culmination of a versatile Kenpachi's studies. By working together their knowledge of physical and spiritual sciences, the Kenpachi awakens their leverage potential, effecting greater damage when applying their strengths to obstacles and opponents.

Whenever the Kenpachi deals damage with Strength or Reiatsu Strength, and when Strength or Reiatsu Strength are otherwise called for, except for Clashes of Power and prerequisites, they merge the relevant stat with half their Instinct.

When this technique is Mastered, its user merges the relevant stat with the Kenpachi's entire Instinct, instead of half of it.

How to use technique: Apply the sciences of dynamism and spiritual energy to combat applications, and make small adjustments in trajectory and technique as a part of each attack to maximize striking potential.

Technique Drawbacks: To enable this technique for a thread and either of Strength or Reiatsu Strength, the user must commit one Long-Term Stat Boost to it, making that boost unavailable for other uses (using the technique with both stats requires two Long-Term Stat Boosts). Even once the technique is enabled, it is difficult to employ, making it last only while the Kenpachi's stamina is at its peak.

Before learning this technique, a character must have a combined Instinct and Energy Sensory of at least 400 and at least 2 points in a Martial Art, and 2 points in at least one of Calm Mind, Battle Focus, and Focused Eye.

Sorry, Dram. There was a bit of discussion back and forth so while these points may not be originally from my brain, I do agree with them, so I wanted to share.

I don't believe I can pass this technique. The drawbacks you have listed are incredibly specific (probably too specific) and are almost certainly geared towards a single character. Being able to swap your OS with no effort is also pretty scrutinized here. Also, how do we know the Kenpachi's stamina is at its peak? Can it only be used at the beginning of the thread? There is also no actual limit on usage or very clear explanation on what the point of the technique is. Kenpachi are STRONG types. They were built that way. They are always going to beat Celes in an arm wrestle. So creating a technique that might potentially only increase those numbers further is unnecessary.

The drawbacks are not geared toward a single character, they're geared toward a single archetype: the "Fight Smarter" Kenpachi, as opposed to the "Fight Harder" Kenpachi. Outside of my contributions, the site has little to no support for the archetype, reinforcing the lack of build freedom through an illusion of choice that falls apart once you examine it with any scrutiny. I can understand how that would make the technique look like it's only meant for a single character because there is no incentive to try anything different, ergo all previous Kenpachi characters have been effectively carbon copies of each other: dump everything into Str/Spd, have enough fuel and other stats to operate minimally, and have an overall that will either make up for the difference or be largely ignorable. Then the strategy is likewise always the same: Rocket Tag. The point of this technique is to make more than a single stat array and a single tactic viable for the type.

The drawbacks are straightforward:
• Pay 1 long-term stat boost for each iteration of the technique you want to use
• Only available while Kenpachi-type stamina has not taken a drop to 80% stats or less
• Have enough capacity to react, reason, and sense spiritual energy to use the technique
• Have enough skill to put your reasoning and sensing capacity to use

Therefore, we can see that any Kenpachi has the capacity to take the technique: all characters can use stat boosts, all Kenpachi use the same stamina rules, all Kenpachi are allowed to spend their stat points how they choose, and all Kenpachi are allowed to take skills in what they choose. Unless one or more of these points are wrong, in which case it would be far better to see those rules stated clearly, instead of implied through an unstated rubric.

We know the Kenpachi's stamina is "at its peak" because Kenpachi stamina is separated into four tiers: 100%, 80%, 50%, and 0. In these strata, 100% is the largest number, and therefore the peak.

Being able to swap your OS with no effort is also pretty scrutinized here.

What does this statement refer to? As far as I can tell, no OS-swapping is taking place with this technique.

So creating a technique that might potentially only increase those numbers further is unnecessary.

Fine. If I take away its ability to increase numbers past the Kenpachi's normal 1800 cap, will that be sufficient?

Perhaps I shouldn't have said "swap." I suppose my only question here is why is Instinct necessary? It is not meant to play a part in combat at all unless you count it very literally, which is its purpose. All I'm saying is I don't think this technique is necessary for Kenpachi to "fight smarter."
