The Secret Cow Level (Arcadus, Crystal, Job)

[Ambrose Grail]

This was the place. One of the many layers of Hell where a nigh-infinite red and black plain upon which rare herds of four-horned, monstrous beasts roam. Each one was easily eight feet tall at the shoulder, perhaps upwards to eleven, with rippling musculatures and a row of razor-sharp bones down their spines, all the way down to the stinger tip of their whip-like tails. They were hooved beasts, with blood-red and obsidian black hides, a mouth full of large, omnivorous teeth, and dried black blood caked around their mouths and down their throats. These vicious behemoths were known in Hell by a single syllable: cows.

According to the flyer, it was the job of the freelancer to secure two major things from the Hell Cows: meat and milk. Of course, this meant that Ambrose would have to examine each cow he could find to determine whether it was fit for eating, or if it were fit for giving milk. For the former, he'd have to find a quick and vicious way to bring down a Hell Cow, without overly injuring either himself or the... "animal." For the latter, he'd have to find a particularly docile one. Did such a thing even exist? That remained to be seen. If he could collect any of them for butchering, it would be worth also collecting their horns, which had a subtle violet glow to them.

Ambrose wondered if he'd be alone on this one, or if the shop would send another freelancer out to assist him. Either way was good with him, though the company would be nice in a place like... well, Hell. Essentially, he was twiddling his thumbs at this point. The searing sun was nearly at its peak. Once it began its descent, the hunt would be on. Ambrose thought about Von and resolved to come back from this one... more or less alive.

[Crystal Tokei]

Crystal found a crumpled flyer in Kitai's trash bin, upon closer inspection it seemed to be for a job. This Mod Soul was never one to pass up a job, so without hesitation she gathers her supplies and leaves the store. Entering the alley nest to the store from her own secret entrance, the girl pulled out a weird contraption with a rope coming out of it. Giving the rope a tug she lifted the strange device into the air where it began expanding.



After some time Crystal found herself staring down at the shop below as she now held the rope connected to a special blimp. Crawling up the rope she sat down in the captains seat, once relaxed the girl starts flipping switches and hitting buttons all over. Putting in the location the flyer told potential job seekers to go, she sat back and watched as her machine did all the work. It would take a little bit of time given how fast this thing traveled, but at least she was hidden in plain sight.



Finally, after some time she arrived at her destination, the blimp began lowering itself to the ground where she would then hop out and stretch her legs. Looking around she would be surprised to find herself in Hell. She wasn't sure if it had something to do with the flyers or maybe that special fuel she 'barrowed' from her Boss, either way she was here. At this location there was only one other person waiting, it seemed the job wasn't to popular given it was in Hell. Walking up to the fella Crystal would wave, "Do you know how long we have to wait until the job begins? I didn't notice much details in the flyer I had."

[Arcadus]

Arcadus, accompanied by his resident pet Saika, Tierra, walked through the burning wasteland around them, the taller's eyes narrowed at what he was looking at. Hellish bovines, exactly what he had in mind when he decided to make a trip down here for materials, and they'd certianly be something he'd want to try to eat later. Tierra ensured him they tasted fine when prepared right, but Arcadus had learned to not always trust his mischevious feline accomplice. 

Strutting out onto the field, Arcadus noticed the other two figures out on the plain, and, not bothering to wave to them, made his way over, his speed letting him walk at the pace most animals sprint. A fullbringer and... Crystal! "Crystal, hi! How are you doing, and how did you manage to get down here? I didn't think Kitai's blimps could travel this far, or that they could make it here at all. But its good to see you around, though maybe we'd better not ignore our other partner here."

Turning over to the dusky fullbringer, Arcauds looked them up and down as they extended a hand for a hand shake. "Don't worry, I'm not a hellion, you can shake it." Snickering at his own joke, Arcadus would turn away, shake or not and look out over to the beasts they, judging by the job flier's in their hands, were also looking to take in. "Is there any plan for taking those down right now? I'm sure it would be fun to ride bucks but I'd like someone on standby with a cero if thats alright." Arcadus smiled a bit, happy with his jokes.
