Constantly maneuvering from Tokyo and Karakura was enough that William lately had felt his skill was actually fracturing under the pressure of keeping his two lives separate. “The exact same reason I left this all behind me.” Speaking to himself once again while looking out the window of the train room he was occupying. The trains thankfully were much faster here in Japan than in the States. Staying in some of the more comfortable cars allowed officer of Tokyo to relax while he moved from the massive metropolis to the urban location of Karakura.
He’d been working as a member of Tokyo’s police force for over a year now and in that time had made a name for himself. Managing to track down and apprehend criminals while doing his best not to step on toes or make his colleagues look bad. What really solidified everything for him was a group of Yakuza that made it painfully obvious what they were doing and where they were staying. William just wanted to put up with what they were doing to make their money. So he took the step that no one less on the force would risk which resulted in a lot of broken bones and his promotion.
His second job as a member of Uzaki Enterprises had been stagnant for the most part though. Since returning to Japan he’d done many things he’d promised himself he wouldn’t anymore. He couldn’t lie even to himself though that it felt good to have his Fullbring once again. It made him constantly feel like a Shinigami though. Losing the connection with what he knew to be a part of him, the idea just seemed like something a Shinigami would go through instead of a Fullbringer.
There it was, the landscape once again. Just another minute of buildings smiling at his arrival and William heard the ding as the train arrived into the station. He was back in Karakura for the weekend. “Time to get some real progress made.” He’d been keeping up with his physical training lately making sure to accomplish a few hundred curls and pull ups but beyond that his spiritual training had taken a backseat. He was going to make sure he made some sort of progress in the training rooms at UE.
Just like that though as he steps off the train onto the plate form William could feel something, something close by that posed a danger. A sensation ran up his spine, a sensation he came to dub the opposite of fear. Not one to sense reiatsu nor refine his physical senses to the ridiculous levels that he knew could be obtained, William went with his gut and allowed that feeling to guide him. What he’d find only a short distance away on an empty street was a Hollow and an old acquaintance.
