Steel Crow Method
These are the techniques part of the Steel Crow Method. In order to take Tier 4 techniques in this Bu Gei, Augury of Blades must first be Learned. After that, taking techniques of a higher Tier requires a greater number of techniques from the previous Tier to be Learned (i.e. learning a Tier 2 technique requires at a minimum, two Tier 3 and three Tier 4 techniques).
Technique Name: Augury of Blades
Class: 7, 4, 1
Technique Type: Passive Bu Gei, Base Tier
Usable By: Any type that boosts a Physical stat or does not boost a Spiritual stat.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Whenever the user strikes an opponent with a steel crow blade, whether they dealt damage or not, that opponent gains a Stain of Fate. A character can suffer from up to one Stain of Fate at a time, and a user can employ up to three Stains of Fate at one time. A Stain of Fate causes its victim’s reiatsu to shed from their body in the form of glowing black crow feathers, making stealth nigh impossible for afflicted characters.
The Class 4 version of this technique allows the user to employ up to seven Stains of Fate at one time. The Class 1 version of this technique allows the user to employ up to thirteen Stains of Fate at one time.
How to use technique: For the swordsman, the blade is the same as the body, the mind and the soul. When the soul strikes an opponent, it leaves an indelible mark where the contact was made and tethering the two together by fate and harmony. When the swordsman strikes the chord of harmony, the mark of fate cuts deep.
Technique Drawbacks: Requires hitting an opponent to be effective.

Technique Name: Leering Crow Draw
Class: 7
Technique Type: Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Drawing their steel crow blade faster than the eye can see, the user slashes out toward a target with a Stain of Fate. Regardless of the distance to the marked target, they will be targeted by the incoming strike. While not statistically increasing Speed, Leering Crow Draw will check the user’s ranks in Steel Crow Method, compared against a target’s Analyzing, Battle Analysis, or similar skill in the Method. If the target’s skill is equal or less, the incoming strike will catch them by surprise, damaging nonspecific but noncritical areas of the body for damage equal to the steel crow blade's Item Power.
How to use technique: Gather reiatsu into the sheath of the blade to prime it for drawing in the blink of an eye by jettisoning the blade from the sheath under the force of the expanding reiatsu when it is triggered.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 25 reiatsu and 1 post-type Spiritual Pressure to use. This strike can still be blocked, parried, and dodged if the target is wise to it. Every time this technique is used, the target will be granted one rank in Analyzing for the purpose of this technique only. Use of Leering Crow Draw cleans the Stain of Fate on the target of choice. To strike an opponent with this technique, the user must have a line of sight to that opponent.

Technique Name: Caliginous Flight
Class: 7
Technique Type: Step Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The user takes a single step, moving at 7x their normal speed and striking any opponent they move by within the reach of their steel crow blade, dealing damage with that weapon.
The user may strike with as many steel crow blades as a part of this technique as they have ranks in the Steel Crow Method skill.
How to use technique: Shed the soul and stride forward, striking the target and leaving a fleeting trail of crow feathers in your wake.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 50 reiatsu and 5 Spiritual Pressure to use. To strike an opponent with this technique, the user must have a line of sight to that opponent.

Technique Name: Drawn from the Wind
Class: 6
Technique Type: Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The wielder flourishes their steel crow blade, drawing it through the currents of reishi and reiatsu in the surroundings to increase its effectiveness. Each time this technique is used, the steel crow blade gains Item Power equal to the amount of Spiritual Pressure the user has lost to Steel Crow Method techniques.
The user may flourish with as many steel crow blades as a part of this technique as they have ranks in the Steel Crow Method skill, applying a single cost across all qualifying blades.
How to use technique: The spirit of the Steel Crow Method lies in the practice of iaijutsu, drawing and sheathing a blade in a single motion but striking up to multiple times. However, it is the accumulation of reiatsu along the blade that abets the method the most, and that accumulating needn’t take place only inside the sheath. With this technique, ambient reiatsu may temper a steel crow blade using the spiritual particles that the user has lost to other techniques using the method.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 50 reiatsu and 5 Spiritual Pressure to use.

Technique Name: Void-Splitting Blade
Class: 6
Technique Type: Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Slicing their steel crow blade through the weave of fate, the user slashes once with their weapon, but strikes all the chords that connect them to their surrounding Stains of Fate. Each marked opponent within 50 feet of the wielder will be affected by this technique. While it does not statistically increase Speed, Void-Splitting Strike checks the user's ranks in Steel Crow Method against each target's Analyzing, Battle Analysis or similar skill. If the target’s skill is equal or less, the incoming strike will catch them by surprise, damaging nonspecific but noncritical areas of the body for damage equal to the steel crow blade's Item Power.
How to use technique: See above.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 50 reiatsu and 5 Spiritual Pressure to use. Use of Void-Splitting Blade cleans a Stain of Fate from each of its targets. To strike an opponent with this technique, the user must have a line of sight to that opponent.

Technique Name: Patience of Fate
Class: 5
Technique Type: Bu Gei, Tier 3
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: When the user sheathes their steel crow blade, they may pay 10 reiatsu and 1 post-type Spiritual Pressure. If they do, their Stain of Fate strikes them with the force of the user’s steel crow blade, forcing a slash against their body and soul in the process.
How to use technique: Simply sheathe a steel crow blade, and let the Stain of Fate echo with a slash in a display of crow feathers.
Technique Drawbacks: While the strike cannot be blocked, it requires previous contact in order to initiate. Patience of Fate is inherently a non-lethal, if not stylish technique. Said target will clean their Stain of Fate upon the execution of this technique. Costs both reiatsu and Spiritual Pressure. To strike an opponent with this technique, the user must have a line of sight to that opponent.

Technique Name: Steel-Eyed Glance
Class: 5
Technique Type: Bu Gei, Tier 3
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Slashes with the user’s steel crow blade will produce blade-thin shockwaves, not unlike those created from having high Strength. These shockwaves are both physical and spiritual in nature, travel at 600 Speed, and will mark struck targets with a Stain of Fate. Every rank in the Steel Crow Method skill the user has will increase this speed by 100.
How to use technique: Wreathing a steel crow blade in fragments of the user’s own soul, they then slash outward, propelling that slash forward with a powerful display of force.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 75 reiatsu and 1 Spiritual Pressure to use.

Technique Name: Laughing Crow Draw
Class: 4
Technique Type: Bu Gei, Tier 3
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: When the user draws their blade, they tether their soul to the indelible marks on opponents they have previously struck, re-asserting the Stains of Fate on each of those opponents as though they had struck them with their steel crow blade again, regardless of the distance between them.
How to use technique: The laughing of the crows is an ill omen to some, a prophecy of an oncoming storm. To the Steel Crow Method user, there are no greater means of predicting imminent death. Embrace and internalize this teaching.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 150 reiatsu and 15 Spiritual Pressure to use. To mark an opponent with this technique, the user must have a line of sight to that opponent.

Technique Name: Impending Ruin
Class: 2
Technique Type: Passive Bu Gei, Tier 2
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: While Learned, this technique allows a user to mark a target with multiple Stains of Fate at one time, instead of only allowing one on a single target. The user can bestow additional Stains of Fate on a target equal to 3 times their ranks in the Steel Crow Method skill.
How to use technique: Where the storm gathers, crows appear, harbinging death and ill fortune. The soul itself is a storm. Embrace and internalize this philosophy.
Technique Drawbacks: Requires the user to successfully land multiple hits in order to make this technique useful.

Technique Name: Piceous Harmony Draw
Class: 2
Technique Type: Bu Gei, Tier 2
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Focusing intently on their steel crow blade, the user takes one full post to draw their weapon. Upon doing so, the next seven strikes the user makes against a target with that steel crow blade will ignore comparisons of Class, and will bypass defensive techniques and abilities.
How to use technique: Shining reiatsu gathers along the feathered edge of the steel crow blade before it even leaves its sheath. Resplendent as the edge crosses the threshold of its container, the blade sheds glowing black crow feathers while it looms into view, displaying the murderous harmony of the wielder’s soul in full bloom.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 600 reiatsu, and 60 Spiritual Pressure to use, reduced by 120 reiatsu and 12 Spiritual Pressure for each rank in the Steel Crow Method skill the user has. The user can opt into treating their ranks as lower to pay a larger cost, if they so desire. Requires one full post to focus on drawing the user’s blade, which in most situations is a rather grave detriment.

Technique Name: Third Eye Clarity
Class: 1
Technique Type: Passive Bu Gei, Tier 1
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Augury of Blades.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Upon activation, the user is given the ability to see through obstacles in order to seek out their targets, gaining line of sight on all those within its range. This technique lasts for a number of posts equal to twice their ranks in the Steel Crow Method skill. At Learned, this technique extends in a 10-foot radius around the user, and treats the Analyzing (and equivalent) skill of opposition to their Steel Crow Method techniques as 1 rank lower, predicting the movements they’re to make. Those with Stains of Fate are always considered to be within this range.
At Proficient, this technique extends outward in a 25-foot radius around the user, and treats the Analyzing (and equivalent) skill of opposition to their Steel Crow Method techniques as 2 ranks lower.
At Mastered, this technique extends outward in a 50-foot radius around the user, and treats the Analyzing (and equivalent) skill of opposition to their Steel Crow Method techniques as 3 ranks lower.
How to use technique: Clarify the third eye through ritual meditation and the use of specialized oils and incense, revealing the world through a new perspective.
Technique Drawbacks: Costs 800 reiatsu and 80 Spiritual Pressure to use, reduced by 160 reiatsu and 16 Spiritual Pressure for each rank in the Steel Crow Method skill the user has. The user can opt into treating their ranks as lower to pay a larger cost, if they so desire.
