Silver Hare System
These are the techniques as a part of the Silver Hare System. In order to take Tier 4 techniques in this Bu Gei, Quicksilver must first be Learned. After that, taking techniques of a higher Tier requires a greater number of techniques from the previous Tier to be Learned (i.e. learning a Tier 2 technique requires at a minimum, two Tier 3 and three Tier 4 techniques).
Technique Name: Quicksilver
Class: 7
Technique Type: Step Bu Gei, Base Tier
Usable By: Any type that boosts a Physical stat or does not boost a Spiritual stat.
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: This stepping technique propels its user at x2 their normal speed, and uses a separate tracker for the number of steps used per post from other stepping techniques. Each time the user steps with this technique, they gain 1 stack of Momentum. Each stack of Momentum increases a character’s comfortable maximum speed by 20 points. A user can have any number of Momentum stacks.
How to use technique: Channel a chain of kinematic energy through the feet and release it into a burst of speed and inertia.
Technique Drawbacks: 25 reiatsu cost per use. Using Quicksilver requires its user to have at least 50 Speed, plus 25 Speed for each stack of Momentum they possess; this technique can still be used should that amount be reached, but will not give additional Momentum. Due to the strain of constant use of this technique, it cannot be used more than 10 times on consecutive posts without one complete post of rest from the technique.

Technique Name: Maru Mari
Class: 7
Technique Type: Stepping Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Tucking their body into a perfect somersault, the user moves swiftly with a reiatsu-powered roll. As a part of this movement, the user’s Speed increases by 10% of its base for each Momentum stack they have, up to a maximum of their Speed x6, along a direction of movement with a length up to 35 meters. While using this technique, a character’s body compresses, allowing them to fit through spaces as small as half their normal diameter.
How to use technique: See above
Technique Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: Skirmishing
Class: 7, 2
Technique Type: Passive Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: After this technique is Learned at Class 7, even techniques that require standing still can be performed on the move, if the user moved within the last post. When this technique is Learned at Class 2, it no longer requires the user to have moved within the last post.
For each rank the user has in the Silver Hare System skill, the user may count themselves as being in motion even when they are at rest, at a Speed of up to 100 per rank.
How to use technique: The body is a being of motion, always in motion, even when at rest. Embrace and internalize this philosophy.
Technique Drawbacks: Not effective with most techniques.

Technique Name: Dimensions of Space
Class: 6
Technique Type: Physical Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: After this technique is Learned, the user is capable of advanced movements while in the air; namely, turning, swiveling, and/or rotating their body while moving, regardless of conditions currently in the air or affecting them.
How to use technique: See above.
Technique Drawbacks: Niche applications in most scenarios.

Technique Name: Caprice Stance
Class: 6, 2
Technique Type: Physical Bu Gei, Tier 4
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Upon entering Caprice Stance, each stack of Momentum the user has will help to diminish the Senses and Instinct of those perceiving their movements. While in the midst of a stepping technique, both Senses and Instinct for perceiving the user only are reduced by 5% per stack (up to a maximum of a 75% debuff). When this technique is Learned at Class 2, spending stacks of Momentum becomes an option to fuel Caprice Stance instead of reiatsu, allowing for three stacks of Momentum to pay the per-post cost of this technique; this cost is collected after calculating the debuff.
How to use technique: Utilize reiatsu or excess momentum to blur to the naked eye.
Technique Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost per post. Sensory techniques of an equal or lower Class will aid in perceiving through this technique. Mutually exclusive with Argent Foot Stance. Only compatible with Stepping techniques that move the entire body.

Technique Name: Inexorable Step
Class: 5
Technique Type: Step Bu Gei, Tier 3
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Sometimes, it’s not about how quickly you move, but whether you move at all. Transforming speed into strength, this technique moves the user at x0.5 Speed, but increases their Strength by a factor of x3 for the purpose of whether they can move. For every 3 Momentum stacks the user has when this technique is initiated, its reiatsu cost decreases by 5%, to a minimum of 25% of its normal cost.
How to use technique: Focus both reiatsu and built-up kinetic energy to forcefully move, effectively trading speed for torque.
Technique Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost. Niche in most situations.

Technique Name: Traction
Class: 5
Technique Type: Physical Bu Gei, Tier 3
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The user gains incredibly high traction with any part of their body, allowing them to come to a stop or bring objects they come into contact with to a stop if their Speed is less than or equal to the user’s comfortable Speed. By spending stacks of Momentum when using this technique, the user may increase their comfortable Speed by a margin of 40 for each stack spent.
How to use technique: Concentrate minuscule amounts of reiatsu into the target areas of the body, bristling it outward to catch onto as many gripping points as possible at the smallest level of physical space.
Technique Drawbacks: Niche applications in most situations.

Technique Name: Slip
Class: 4
Technique Type: Physical Bu Gei, Tier 3
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The user gains negative traction with any part of their body, allowing them to slip and slide along even rough and uneven surfaces with ease, without suffering the effects of rocky terrain, jagged edges or serrations, if the Offensive Strength of the incoming force is equal to or less than the user’s comfortable Speed. When pressure is applied to the user, they will “escape” from that pressure by slipping away from its angle of approach at a Speed equal to the Offensive Strength of the incoming force. By spending stacks of Momentum when using this technique, the user may increase their comfortable Speed by a margin of 40 for each stack spent.
How to use technique: Pool minuscule amounts of reiatsu above the target areas of the body, smoothing them beyond the limits of the physical realm to repel any potential gripping points, even at the smallest level of physical space.
Technique Drawbacks: The user’s angle of escape when pressured is difficult to control, usually causing the user to move in a direction they do not expect, unless their own Instinct is greater than half of the Offensive Strength of the incoming force.

Technique Name: Silver Lightning
Class: 2
Technique Type: Step Bu Gei, Tier 2
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: This stepping technique moves its user with a blinding burst of speed, veritably transforming them into a bolt of lightning as they move. Before using this technique, the user must spend 3 stacks of Momentum in the post before it is used, priming themselves for the incredible rush it conveys. When triggered in the following post, Silver Lightning moves its user at an astounding x16 Speed multiplier. For every 5 stacks of Momentum the user has when this technique is initiated, they may make a single change of direction as a part of their movement.
How to use technique: Charge up Momentum into the body, then release it as a continuous stream of propulsion.
Technique Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost. Due to the investment of Momentum stacks before Silver Lightning can be used, if the user does not have a surplus of Momentum stacks, then the lag in the user’s speed can easily telegraph that they are “charging up” a powerful movement.

Technique Name: Argent Foot Stance
Class: 2
Technique Type: Physical Bu Gei, Tier 2
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: Upon entering Argent Foot Stance, the user is capable of running along walls, water, and other physical, non-ground surfaces with no issue.
How to use technique: Focus a bit of reiatsu into the feet, and focus on movement.
Technique Drawbacks: 100 reiatsu/post for each post that Argent Foot Stance is maintained. Mutually exclusive with Caprice Stance. Niche in most situations. Spiritual surfaces require the user to possess more comfortable Speed than the Offensive Strength of the surface in question, if any.

Technique Name: Intuition
Class: 1
Technique Type: Passive Bu Gei
Usable By: Anyone who has learned Quicksilver
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: The user’s speed of response expands, effectively doubling timing-based windows of opportunity. As a part of reacting to or anticipating an input, the user may spend any number of stacks of Momentum. For each stack spent, the user’s Instinct increases by 5% until the beginning of their next post.
How to use technique: The world is always in motion, even when at rest. The world is always at rest, even when in motion. Embrace and internalize this concept, attuning your senses to the flows of stillness and movement in the world around you.
Technique Drawbacks: When spending Momentum to increase Instinct, this technique consumes a short-term stat boost.
