-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5ft 8in / 146 lbs
Physical Description:
When a person looks upon Arturo there’s several things that can be pointed out immediately. Though the most obvious being that he doesn’t look anywhere near close to his true age. If anything he looks like he just got out of his teen years and is still in the process of becoming an adult. Though with his hair style, clothing choice, eyeliner, and eye shadow it wouldn’t be hard to convince anyone that he’s just a young kid in their rebellious years. Which isn’t entirely incorrect as part of the reason for the makeup and hair style is to, in fact, go against his family’s wishes and expectations. But stepping back from his personal reasons for his looks, let’s focus on his overall body type and appearance.
First and foremost, Arturo is white, incredibly pale even. Like the only light he’s seen are the soft lights of interior buildings and the moon. The sun seems to be something of a foreign concept. Even going so far as to make him seem sunburnt when he blushes or otherwise has his face flare up. To further help the introvert vibe he gives off is how unblemished his skin is. At best, you may find some very small wrinkles around his eyes, assuming you took off the eyeshadow and eyeliner. And this is simply from his preference for a nocturnal lifestyle. “Wrinkles” aside, there isn’t really much else to talk about for his overall form. He’s lithe, clearly untrained in any sense of physical exertion. But despite that he’s not simply skin and bones, he’s just on the thinner side of average. Arguably the only real point to note may be that his fingers and legs are longer than expected for his body. Enough to notice but not enough to be grossly abnormal.
Moving from the body as a whole, let’s look at Arturo’s face, shall we? The biggest and most noteworthy thing about his head is his hair. And it’s for two simple reasons. The first is his hair goes down to the middle of his back. The ends just barely reaching past the halfway point for his spine. The second reason is that his hair color is dyed in patches. His natural hair color is akin to cream while the patches are about as black as one can get. There is no rhyme or reason for them, simply different parts are black while others are white. It’s an uneven and chaotic mess and yet it looks pleasant from the way his hair rolls down his face and back in waves. Its natural look is akin to the color scheme. Chaotic. Unkempt and free to decide its future as to how it will look. The only changes one would ever notice with this is if it’s wet or if it air dried itself. In which case it frizzes like someone pissed it off. And no, it does not willingly return to being “Manageable”. There are two typical “styles” that Arturo wears and that’s however the hell it set itself when he woke up. Or with it tied up behind him into something akin to a ponytail or a “bun”. It’s too long to really be a true “bun” so it ends up just being a ponytail anyway.
Other noteworthy features for his face are as follows. Bright, bright blue eyes. They look akin to cool water. Clear and bright blue, icy in a way. And completely frozen with a “dead” look in them at all times. Whether that’s from exhaustion or just RBF is anyone’s guess. As mentioned earlier Arturo also uses black eyeliner as well as black eyeshadow. The eyeshadow covering the top eyelids and cutting off around the sides of his eyes. His eyebrows are dyed completely black and trimmed to perfection. No hair out of place and tapered off to a point at the ends. His nose is small and pointed and lies just above thin pale lips. Typically, they are kept barren of emotion. Even and horizontal. Moving from his head to the rest of his body it’s not a surprise that there isn’t really much to speak on. Arturo has no tattoos or piercings. No scars over his body and no noteworthy blemishes. He wears black nail polish on each finger and keeps his fingernails well-trimmed. But aside from that there’s not much to write home about.
Clothing Reference:
Now Arturo’s clothing is where things get interesting. Simply put, it’s something of a mix between Punk, Goth, and Rockstar. And like his hair, it typically has only two colors. Black and white. Though you can occasionally find gray mixed in. But effectively his color palette is monochromatic. But while the colors may not be varied, the material of the clothing he wears is. Sometimes it’s a simple v-neck t-shirt with ripped pants and some black boots. Sometimes he wears leather everything. Jackets, pants, shirts, boots, hell if it were possible maybe even socks. Others he’s got strange materials mixed in like feathers on his shoulders or leather with a hood of thick cloth. It varies depending on the day and his mood. It’s typically a good show of how he feels that day with the more upset he is the more dramatic his attire gets. Meanwhile when he’s more mellow he’ll stick to more “mundane” clothing. And in the rare events he’s in a good mood, he makes use of his family’s “fortune” and dresses up in significantly fancier attire than he should otherwise have access to. Typically, his fancier clothing hits on the side of Victorian goth.
Before finishing things off it should be noted what accessories he wears. Now the everyday accessories are a choker and wrist bands. Both are leather. Both are typically simple in design. And the choker has a little metal ring on the front of it. Stainless steel and with points jutting out of the bottom and the sides. The leather bands are simply leather with only a “belt” loop and a single metal piece to hold them together. If he’s erring on the fancier clothing, he’ll occasionally wear a couple rings, usually silver with obsidian or some other darker gemstone to match. He does have a preference for steel or other heavier metals and will typically wear rings, necklaces, or even bracelets of those when he’s not in nicer clothing.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
1. Vampires
Arturo dislikes them because his family has this belief that they are vampires. That despite looking human, acting human, and simply being a bit stronger/faster/older than people that they are vampires. So they drink blood and attack spirits or otherwise enslave them in addition to people because of this. Arturo’s no fool, some things are not normal about them. But he chalks it up to magic as opposed to being a “vampire” or a “monster in human skin”. Sounds like fantastical delusions.
2. Manipulative individuals
Arturo already has to deal with his family who want him to be something “greater”, something “more than he is”. Instead of who he is, himself. Mind you this goal they have for him is to become an incredible vampire and conquer the world or some insane bullshit. But the point is, he’s not fond of how much the family tries to run his life. Determine every little thing about it for him. What he’ll wear, schools he’ll go to, jobs he’ll do, people he’ll meet, who he marries, what he becomes. It drives him fucking insane.
3. People in general
Arturo just. . . he just doesn’t want to be around a lot of people. He doesn’t hate them or find them beneath him. He just isn’t an extrovert. He likes his alone time and he likes places where there are few or no people around. The manor would almost be perfect were his family not a bunch of crazy folk.
4. Hollows
These things are monsters straight out of fantasy stories and mythos. And unfortunately they always want to come to him or the manor. Thankfully he’s been defended and kept safe but these are the things of nightmares as far as he’s concerned. They’re just beasts. Strange and misshapen beasts. Anatomy doesn’t have to make sense. Their abilities are incredibly varied. And the screams just. . . those scare him deeply. In his nightmares he hears those screams along with the screams of those killed by them.
5. Bright colors
Completely and utterly personal preference. Arturo took at least one thing from his family. And it’s entirely his love of dark colors. Black especially. So yes, maybe they rubbed off on him some. But in his defense, bright colors are just. . . gaudy and hurt to look at. Like the Sun. Just with less eye damage and more mental damage. If he could help it, he’d mute or darken all clothing several shades. It’d make everything easier to look at and be more pleasing to his eye.
6. Fighting
Arturo has never really had to fight. He’s been taught how to manage and handle a fight and knows the rudimentary things to do. But he’s never enjoyed it. It seems like a waste. Well, if you're not dealing with a hollow that is. If you’re dealing with those it’s necessary and encouraged. But otherwise fighting is just. . . exhausting, stressful, and an unpleasant experience all things considered.
7. Being prim and proper, I.E. acting noble
Sort of the same thing with fighting. It’s tedious. It’s tiring. And truthfully it seems like a waste of time. Not to mention it just feels incredibly fake. Like you use pleasantries to make people feel better about themselves so you can swoop in and manipulate them. Just doesn’t sit well with him. He’d much rather simply say what needs to be said and be direct.
8. Feeling weak / Dependent on others
Life cannot be lived without the assistance of another. That’s fine. But Arturo just feels like he’s always had things done for him. Like he can’t live or be his own person without someone nearby to help him. And it feels stifling. Worse yet though is this relationship with when he HAS tried, even for a short time, to be on his own he fucks things up. He doesn’t understand a concept or otherwise doesn’t know how to do simple things. Like he didn’t realize food expired and almost got sick from that. It’s these sorts of things that just reinforce this feeling of weakness and like he has to depend on others to survive.
Likes:
1. Leith
Leith is many things. Some of which are frustrating, a jackass, judgmental, and narcissistic. And yet, Leith sort of inspires Arturo to be something more. Maybe it's more of “him” rather than whatever his family or others think of him. Maybe it’s a future version of himself that is capable and “better” than his current self. Whatever it is, Leith is the reason for it. And it's done by Leith simply being Leith. For better or worse.
2. “Magic” (reiatsu techs)
In a world where the fantastical has sort of died out to the hard understandings of science and technology the old ways of doing things still fascinate him. Such as using magic for a variety of things. Creating fire in the palm of one’s hands or walking on the air. Hell, even just thinking about the possibilities of what magic could do is incredible. It may not solve the answers to his personal problems, but it does take his mind off of them.
3. Shinigami
He doesn’t know the names of these weapon wielding spirits. But he has seen a few. Much to his family’s dismay. While they may not like them, Arturo finds them as inspirational. They dive head first against hollows to fight them and defend others. They do something with souls that takes them somewhere else. And some of them use magic. Seriously, they’re just strange and seemingly incredibly job focused but that only helps to make them more interesting to him. He’d like to help them some day if he could.
4. Fantasy Lands
Arturo can sympathize with his family on one thing. He likes the setting of worlds with magical people, creatures, and more. He can definitely understand that they would want to be vampires because they are this supernatural race of beings that can blend with society and still be incredibly powerful. But that’s where they split. Arturo understands that it’s strictly fiction. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love those worlds of fiction. It’s entirely because they are fictional that he can enjoy them as immensely as he does. It’s a peek into a special “What if” world that may or may not have similarities to our own.
5. Dancing
This is another exception to the Napolitano family madness. Arturo actually genuinely enjoys dancing. Formal, free form, etc. Even if he’s in a room by himself he can make his day just that much better by dancing a bit to himself. Or dancing his way to wherever his final destination is. It’s not really a secret that he enjoys dancing and has gone out to clubs or other venues to dance. He secretly hopes that one day he can enter a competition and win.
6. Defying his family’s expectations
It’s incredibly childish and he knows that it is. But there’s something so wonderful about rebelling against the family. It’s traditions and expectations. It’s breathtaking and rewarding. It makes him feel alive even if sometimes the repercussions aren’t as fun to deal with. But it's mostly fun because he finds himself in a family of “Chunibyo’s” and he then tries to act like a normal person. Like anyone else but with a bit more life experience.
7. Money
Another thing he has to admit he enjoys about his family background. When it comes to material possessions or food, Arturo has never really wanted anything. If he’s had a request, it is almost always fulfilled in some capacity. And it’s strictly due to the fact that he comes from old money. He admits that it has likely skewed his sense of financial value, but he can’t deny how fun it is to just go buy or do something and not think twice about it.
8. Animals, Fantastic or otherwise
Hollows aside, given he’s had terrifying experiences with them. He genuinely loves the creatures that come from fantastical worlds. And their more mundane inspirations from this world. Polar Bears are his favorites because while they are incredibly deadly they just look so cute and cuddly. But that’s also a part of it, he really enjoys the idea of being chummy and friendly with a terrifying beast only for it to not like others and make him feel special. This is especially true for those who constantly work with “dangerous” animals and then have videos of them being incredibly docile.
Flaws:
1. Naive
It can’t be helped. Arturo was born into a very privileged family and by proxy doesn’t understand a lot of common issues. Even going so far to not know much about the spiritual world. He doesn’t even know he’s not strictly human, that his family isn’t human. He simply thinks they are human and a little over the top because they can use magic. I.E. reiatsu. Until he gets some more experience under his belt this isn’t likely to change.
2. Temperamental
Arturo is young despite being 100 years old. He still acts like he’s a kid fresh out of their 20’s. Add that with his pampered upbringing he sometimes blows up or reacts harshly. Showing that he hasn’t really developed as a person. This has been the cause for several arguments with his family who also are temperamental though for different reasons.
3. Physically inept
It can’t be overstated; Arturo is physically pretty weak. Even during self-defense lessons or other training the family has put him through, his physical body has always remained a weak point. “Dangerously close to human” as his family would put it. It's concerning no doubt but that's only with regards to his supernatural family. As far as Arturo is concerned being human is exactly what they are so it's no surprise he can’t withstand crazy amounts of bodily harm.
4. Terrified of Hollows
Arturo has been attacked by hollows several times. And every time he has been attacked, there’s been no one around to help him initially. He’s been hurt by them before though thankfully the family or a servant of the family has saved him and otherwise healed him up. But that didn't stop him from developing a paranoia about them. Seeing one is likely to give him flashbacks and make his heart race in fear. The less human or animal they look, the worse this becomes.
5. Cowardly
Typically, this refers to Arturo in physical confrontations but to an extent this applies as well to when confronted with difficult decisions or stress. Arturo feels inept and typically tries to avoid confrontations. He’d rather run away than actually stand his ground or otherwise try to actively defend himself. It’s simpler. Easier. And maybe later when he’s more prepared or ready he can confront something. Until then however he prefers to go the opposite direction.
Habits:
1. Spends too much
Arturo is wealthy. He’s never personally been in a situation where money was an issue. So that means he’s not got the strongest sense of money. . . And this means he spends more than he should. Gets more things than he typically needs. Even going so far as to not look around to be cost efficient, instead getting whatever he sees first. Sometimes he simply pays more than needed given he typically has extra money on his person.
2. Dances around when happy
Arturo can’t help it. He just enjoys dancing so when he’s especially happy or achieved something he begins dancing around. It’s usually not long lasting because another stops him. But if left to his own devices he’ll dance from one place to another and in front of whoever.
3. Messes with his hair when bored
Few things Arturo does are as noticeable as when he’s bored and fiddling around with his hair. It already goes down to the middle of his back and is colored like different segments were dipped in white and black paint. So, when he’s truly bored and decided to tune out of a situation he just starts coming or otherwise playing with his hair to pass the time until he is required to focus or be involved in whatever is going on.
4. Requests to pet all animals / monsters he sees (non-hollows)
He just can’t help himself. Even if he got into a fight with someone, he’d absolutely ask to pet their animals or monstrous pets after the fact. He just wants to see how cool they are up close. Especially the stranger they are. Like if he saw a giant bug that was a fusion of several species, and it was willing to let him walk over and pet it. Or hug it, he absolutely would. Assuming it wasn’t going to kill him mid process.
5. Always wearing monochromatic colors
Say what you will but to Arturo monochromatic colors are all you need. He’s yet to see someone who's looked bad in black, white, and gray. Especially when they are mixed with one another. Look at his own hair for an example! He’s had several compliments on its color scheme. Unless his hand is forced, he’ll always wear some iteration of those three colors.
Fears:
1. Death by hollow
Arturo has had too many times where he was dead had he been left to his own devices. Thus, he fears the day when someone cannot save him because currently, he doesn’t know if he could save himself if push came to shove. The worst part is he knows how it would end. With him being eaten alive. There's so many ways to die that are unpleasant but for Arturo this has to be hands down the worst way to die. He prays it never happens.
2. Dying
It’s going to happen. He knows it will. He sees the souls of others and it only solidifies that at some point he will die. He just. . . doesn’t want it to happen any time soon. He’s not even sure what he’d do as a soul. He could only hope those gents with their strange weapons and their black robes would help him. But either way, he’s not ready to die. And thus he’s incredibly fearful of death and its inevitability of it.
3. Not living on his two feet
What this means specifically is that Arturo fears being bound to the family for however long he lives. Something he doesn’t want to do. He wants to find his own path in life, live it, and eventually deal with whatever comes his way. If nothing else he wants the chance to attempt to live his life however he thinks is right. Not what his parents or other family members believe to be true.
Goals:
1. Become self sufficient
Effectively the opposite of his fear. Arturo wants to be able to live on his own. By his own efforts. And in his own place. Not related in any shape or form to the family and its money. He wants to be his own person and manage his life on his own terms.
2. Learn and cast powerful “Magic”
It’s silly and it's definitely childish but this is a genuine goal of his. If he can use magic then he wants to be able to learn powerful magic. Make it his own. And then use it as he sees fit. He may not be the strongest user of magic but he doesn’t need to be. He just needs to be strong enough to use and learn whatever he wants.
3. Find his sister and get on her good side
He’s been told he has a sister. At least a century older than him and likely much stronger. He only knows that his parents had her abducted only a short time after they’d brought her into this world. So he can’t even say for certain if he truly believes she’s alive. But he wants to try and look for her. And if she is alive then meet her and hopefully develop a relationship between the two of them.

Chaotic Neutral
Overall Personality:
Arturo for all intents and purposes is a young adult in body and in mind. Having not been on his own despite being a century old he’s developed little beyond his teenage years. He still maintains a naivety about the world around him. Spiritual or otherwise given that he has a sort of “disbelief” in things over the top supernatural. After all, even if he IS 100 years old it's easier to believe that he’s just another person with a bit of magic mixed in. As opposed to understanding and believing that the truth of the world is far closer to some of the fantasy books he’s read. With alternate dimensions and incredibly varied supernatural beings all over the place. So, in a way he’s sort of. . . strangely stubborn about the circumstances surrounding his own supernatural state of being. Preferring to remain more mundane with some perks than truly being something more.
Moving past his view on the world, let's focus on some core portions of Arturo. He is inherently a more reserved individual with a few extrovert traits. Such as preferring to remain within the confines of the manor or otherwise be in places that are low on the human body count. Yet still engaging in activities with large groups of people despite how draining it is. He also doesn’t struggle to talk to people despite his preference to not speak with others at all. Though let's be fair his naivety comes into play with his lack of wanting to seriously talk with someone. He’s realized that he knows very little of the world around him because he confines himself or is kept away from the public by his family. Making even common knowledge hard to come back since even the manor has a limited amount of technology. It doesn’t help that the family is very traditional and conservative so if it doesn’t relate to their personal values then it's hard to learn about.
So overall we get a sort of “older child” mentality. Inspired and curious of the world around but held back by their own inhibitions and habits developed or otherwise forced onto him. With a desire to learn and be more than the family but always feeling tethered back because the values of the family do not match the values of their personal ideology. It should be noted though that despite the setbacks imposed by the family Arturo still has several good points. For one thing he’s not heavy into the “noble, better than everyone” attitude. Preferring instead to remain down to earth and acknowledge the fact he knows little. With a willingness to learn more about the world at large and himself in the process. He also actively desires to work with people even if his inherent tendencies to shy away from others would have him naturally go the opposite direction.
Still though, the family's impact has taken a toll on Arturo. For all the desire to rebel there are some things he’s seen or otherwise taken to heart that his family has said. For one thing, he feels like a failure. He is not strong or fast like them. He’s not nearly as ruthless despite showing a cunning streak like his family. He doesn’t “act like a napolitano” because he won’t view or otherwise manipulate others. And it creates a sort of distance between himself and his family while tearing at him mentally. Knowing they aren’t doing right by him or others but still desiring to be accepted by them. Trying to make him something he’s not despite trying his best to remain true to at least some part of himself. Even if he’s uncertain as to what that part is. All in all, it just makes him feel like a burden and prompts him to believe he will not be anything but if he cannot find a way to grow past his current state.

-Powers-
Fighting Style:
Arturo’s fighting style can be summed up in two words. Team Tactics. Arturo has to use teamwork to survive in a fight. And not because he’s a bount and bount’s abilities, I.E. Dolls, are literal sentient and sapient beings. No, he needs them because he’s incredibly physically weak. And only moderate or average in his spiritual capabilities as well. Barring specialty techniques that allow him to summon forth more power than he could generally have access to, Arturo is just weak as can be. He can’t throw punches. He doesn’t know how to use a weapon, let alone effectively use one. And while “magic” I.E. reiatsu based abilities, are things he’s much better about using he’s still not truly “potent” with them. So, he kind of just suffers all around. This is why it's so incredibly important that he has Leith around, because Leith is a powerhouse. He may not be good in manipulating or using spiritual energy, but Leith is without a doubt a physical BEAST regardless of his physical form. Thus, Arturo has to work alongside him in order to survive in any real capacity.
So, this brings us to how the two work together. Simply put Arturo supports and gives Leith information about things going on at the moment. Meanwhile Leith is actively drawing the attention away from Arturo by being as overly aggressive as possible. Leith has issues when it comes to allowing someone to tell him how to fight let alone do anything else. So, Arturo has to just state things as opposed to asking him or telling him to do something. I.E. Enemy A is creating a fireball behind you. 20 feet. Enemy B is charging up an attack and they are hidden to your right behind X building. Enemy C is going for a series of sword strikes given how their muscles are moving. This is sort of how Arturo will have to support. Tactical information while either A. Hiding himself or B. having Leith actively protect him while he can reposition himself around. This is ultimately their basic strategy because Leith, bless him, while not being the brightest is combative smart. So, he can take useful information about enemies and use it to his advantage.
But let's assume that Leith cannot protect Arturo for whatever reason. Maybe he’s overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Maybe someone’s specialty is using area of effect attacks or abilities. Whatever the case may be, Arturo is alone, so how does he handle that? Simply put? He runs away. Step techs or literally running in a direction and trying to make himself scarce. It’s not pretty and it isn’t incredible but if he can manage it, he’ll be able to get himself to relative safety. Arturo really isn’t the kind of character to fight or defend himself unless he can accurately determine that maybe he has a chance. But even still Arturo’s goal is never to beat someone of his own accord, it's to put them in a position where Leith can beat them senseless for him. To this end Arturo will use as much “magic” as possible to assist him. Step techs, phasing abilities, stealth techniques, etc. If it can relocate him then that’s what he wants. And without a doubt that’s how he deals with being separated. Run away from danger, reposition himself close enough to Leith, and “direct” Leith to the enemy’s location.
With regards to how the two work together outside of Leith being fed information by Arturo the pair have a pretty simple dynamic. Arturo is a buff/support caster in essence. Using abilities to help give Leith stamina, heal, make him stronger or more capable, and replenish whatever “mana” reserves he has. (Reiatsu) So long as Leith is in the fight and can remain in the fight, Arturo is “safe” and not everything is lost. The truly optimal goal is to have Leith not need to be near Arturo while in his base or intermediary form. And then when he’s evolved into his final form and becomes a massive sea monster then they can stick together because by that point Leith should be able to easily defend him while fending off others. There will be the concerns about his liquid nitrogen to deal with but Arturo by that point should have trained himself to be relatively immune to the problematic powers of Leith so it shouldn’t be that much of a concern.
To finish things up, we’ll go over Leith’s fighting style. In your face, hack and slash. Aka beat em ups. He’s incredibly physically strong. And incredibly fast. At least compared to Arturo. So this should mean that Leith can reliably beat up another even if his powers weren’t being used. Fun fact, he can’t turn them off so he’ll always be creating liquid nitrogen and freezing others. But that’s just his enemy’s problem to deal with. If they can’t handle the cold or his physical capabilities? Fuck em. And let’s be fair, Leith doesn’t play nice. Every dirty trick he can think of to give him an edge is exactly what he will do. Splash people’s eyes with water or liquid nitrogen. Kick them in the ground. Trip them. Push them into things. Use the terrain around them to inhibit their ability to fight. It’s all a part of his strategy. And heaven forbid you’re physically weaker than him. He’ll deliberately break bones unconcerned about the repercussions. Can’t swing a sword or step away if your arm or leg is broken. You can’t see if your eyes are covered in blood. Can’t hear if he creates a loud sound. Dudes brutal.

Name/Title:
Leith, The Depths Embrace
Likes:
1. Bold Individuals
Leith is of a disposition that if you aren’t worth a damn, then you need to fake it or steer clear of him. And, in his opinion, the best way to tell if someone is worth looking being around is how confident they are in themselves. The reason doesn’t matter as it could simply be for looks, power, a disproportionate sense of self. Whatever the reason, if you can look and act confident then you’re doing something right. Even if you fake it, because what’s the point of being melodramatic and glum? It’s a waste of time. If you exist, act like you’re going to be someone else's problem.
2. Winter / Cold Weather
It’s likely due to the fact he produces liquid nitrogen, but Leith likes it cold. If it’s above 50F he’s unhappy. Immensely so. But if it’s under? It’s manageable. He’d prefer 20 to 30 degrees so he can attempt to feel a chill but being cool is acceptable. If it snows or rains and there’s a good breeze/gust to back it up ever the better. It helps with the wind chill and ensures he’ll have a better chance of feeling it.
3. Cursing
Abso-fucking-lutely does this man curse like a sailor. Or at least, that’s how the saying goes. This man just has a special fondness for cursing. If you're angry there’s a word for it. If you’re happy there’s a word for it. It’s fucking beautiful. Simple. Easy to use. And widely applicable for every situation. Why the fuck more people don’t use curse words is beyond him. But others' opinions don’t matter, he’ll curse and curse and curse until the day he returns to his watery domain. Just try to fucking stop him.
4. Showing off
Typically, this refers to his blatant use of natural secretions. With liquid nitrogen at his beck and call, he can typically freeze anything and anyone. So, he likes to make sure everyone around him knows what's coming to them. And if that sometimes means he puts a little “oomph” into, well then, that’s just that. However, he likes to show off in more ways than just his natural abilities. Being strong, being right in an argument, more capable than those around him. Whatever it is, Leith likes to be better than others and playthings off like it’s easy for him.
5. Fruits
Think of it like a guilty pleasure. Leith doesn’t need to eat. In fact, typically he doesn’t. Yea, consuming others is sometimes required to maintain his form and power. But that’s not really eating. It’s maintaining. When he can actually eat though? Every time he wants fruit. Doesn’t matter the uniqueness or flavor. He just enjoys fruit. The texture, the juices, and the colors of them. It’s enough to have him stomach other things that go with them. Solely because fruit is just that good. Make no mistake though, this man will eat absolutely anything that has fruit involved no questions asked.
Dislikes:
1. Excuses
There’s reasons for issues or problems at hand. And then there’s excuses. Leith loses his mind when he hears an excuse, especially one after another. It’s just a cheap way of casting blame elsewhere. Making a claim that something isn’t your fault. Fucking owns it. Who cares what happened? If you own, it that’s half the battle and then you can move on. Keep making excuses and you’ll just go backwards.
2. Being weak
No one likes being weak. Emotionally, mentally, physically. It makes you feel small. Vulnerable. Exposed. Leith is a man of attention but not to the chinks in his armor. He wants to be the man, the myth, the legend. If he’s considered weak or he feels himself to be weak then that’s a fucking issue. He’s got a reputation to live up to and he will NOT let someone or something make him feel anything less than what he is. THE manifestation of the ocean's depths. Especially the dark and frozen depths.
3. Fire abilities
Leith cannot fully explain why he hates fire abilities with a passion. He just does. The likely answer is just the fact he’s effectively a “water” or “liquid” user. Thus, making fire and heat powers his polar opposite. So, it may just be inherent. Whatever the case he looks down upon them, typically in disgust. So, help Arturo if he uses them, he’ll get a fucking earful.
4. Arturo’s Family
Arturo can be questionable at times, but ultimately Leith is accepting of them. Especially as their ward. His family, however? Fuck them. 100%. Manipulative. Spiteful. To Leith it feels like they’ve long since forgotten whatever made them “people”. And by proxy now see everyone around them as tools for their gain. Leith is not. Never will be. A tool. And if his family thinks otherwise? Then they can take up their issues with HIM.
5. Formalities
Simply put, it feels fake. It’s a veil and a mask that others use to hide their intentions. Usually in a piss poor manner. Respect is one thing, and it demands that certain choice words and actions be altered as needed. But formalities? Absolutely not. Speak your mind or don’t speak at all. Leith hasn’t the time to deal with monotonous bullshit and you better believe you’ll never see him be “proper”, “prim”, or “formal”. He’d sooner die.
Flaws:
1. Brutish
Leith does not like to think for long periods of time. He doesn’t like to think before doing. He’s a leap first and deal with the consequences later. This is even more pronounced since he has Arturo around who seems to only ever think and rarely do. He can only deal with so much hesitance in one sitting. Thus, he just “does” and allows his instincts to determine what he should do in a given moment. Even more so in a fight.
2. Unwilling to follow another
Leith doesn’t like to follow another’s lead. He wants to be large and in charge, especially in a fight. Arturo included. If someone wants to support him, fine, just don’t get in his way. But if you can’t even assist him properly sit the fuck down. He’ll sooner go into a fight solo than actually humor another who cannot help themselves. And worse yet, he does what he wants. So, if another has a plan or idea and he doesn’t like it? Not happening. He’ll just go do what he wants, or thinks is best. Sometimes just to spite another who TRIED to tell him what to do.
3. Possessive
Surprisingly Leith has a very strong attachment to items. In truth he’s sort of a hoarder. Grabbing what he wants when he wants. And then never gives them back. In a way, he’s like a dragon. Constantly amassing a hoard only not everything in the hoard is shiny or glitters. So be wary of anything you consider personal, if Leith wants it, and gets his hands on it. . .. then it's gone for all intents and purposes.
Habits:
1. Wears bright colors
This is in part to piss off those around him, namely Arturo. Arturo is like a walking doom and gloom cloud with his monochromatic attire. So, Leith has taken it upon himself to wear the most gaudy and flamboyant clothing he can find. Obviously, he won’t let himself wear cheap or unappealing clothing, but it will be akin to looking at a rainbow and a storm cloud when the two are together.
2. Stays close to Arturo
Leith abides to his deal of keeping Arturo safe. It’s part of the terms of their agreement. Thus, to do this, he keeps himself typically within an arm's distance of the other. Very few exceptions exist, such as going to the bathroom. You couldn’t pay Leith enough to watch the other in there. But he’ll be at the entrance and listening very carefully. It doesn’t help that Arturo is like a fucking twig and could be broken by a breeze in his direction. So even a moment is all it would take to have something happen to Arturo.
3. Collecting objects
As mentioned in his flaws, Leith has a need to collect things. Make a hoard of sorts. If an object catches his eye he’ll go after it. But that’s sort of the issue at hand. An object's value depends on what's going on at the moment. It could be a necklace from an enemy or it could be a stone he picked up after being pummeled into the ground. Regardless of what it is, Leith is always collecting random assortments of things.
Fears:
1. Arturo’s frailty
It’s not hard to see that Arturo is weak. Physically at least. Killing him would be child's play for Leith. Thus, when the term of his deal is to “Protect Arturo” it becomes something of an issue when the other is the equivalent to glass. And if Leith isn’t about to be called a liar or looked down upon for not owning up to his end of the bargain. But this means he’s always worried about whether the other will be able to handle someone else if push comes to shove.
2. Being subservient to another
Arturo isn’t strong enough to make him bend a knee. That’s obvious. But Leith isn’t so stupid as to think someone else couldn’t make him do so. Now he thinks those who can are far and few between but that doesn’t stop his fears. He’s a goddamn lord of an ocean, he’s not about to be someone's fucking pet if he can help it. If someone can however, that’s what makes him worried the most. Especially if considering how strong he is.
3. Being vulnerable in any sense
It bothers him incessantly. Does Leith have fears, worries, concerns? Absolutely. Does anyone else need to know about them? Fuck no. If he can’t fix them, then he doesn’t want another to even BEGIN to step in and try to. It’s embarrassing and it makes him look weak. Worst case it’ll make him look pathetic and he can’t have that. Arturo is already weak enough. He needs to be the stronger of the two at all times. Hell, that’s the reason for their deal in the first place.
Goals:
1. Become lord of earth’s oceans
Leith is the lord of another ocean already. In fact, it’s a world of only water. Creatures there are subservient to him. They fear him. They worship him. He IS the world in a way. Now he is not. He’s been bound to Arturo for one reason or another. But that doesn’t mean he’s content. No. He wants to rule the oceans of this world too. And possibly others if he can help it and get his hands on it.
2. Make Arturo “strong”
This goal is. . . dubious. In truth he’s not certain HOW to make Arturo strong. He doesn’t even believe that he can be strong in the literal sense of the word. Otherwise, why bring him to this realm? Whatever the case, he’ll do his best but it’s going to be a work in progress for a very long time.
Alignment:
True Neutral
Overall Personality:
Boiled down Leith is a self-centered, very masculine, muscle bro. He wants to be the biggest guy around with the biggest muscles and the biggest ego. He wants to shine because he believes himself to be the one and only. He is the best, because he is Leith. And EVERYONE’S gonna know about it. However, that's a lot of surface level personality for him. Leith more than anything else is just a simple dude in a world where things are, in his opinion, needlessly complex. A man true to himself before anyone else and unwilling to change for another if he doesn’t believe he has an issue. Leith is just Leith and that’s all he ever wants to be. With some things that he believes he needs to live up to because of his beliefs about his prior existence. A lot of which molds him into his current persona. But let’s just rip off the band aid for you, he’s not some extra special being from another plane. He’s a doll, conjured up by Arturo and neither of them believe this to be true for different reasons.
Because neither understand nor acknowledge the idea that Arturo could have created him out of nothing, this instead promotes this idea that Leith is this amazing and incredible creature. A beast given human form and with just a slice of his powers from his previous existence. This is what fuels Leith and his idea of being the best around. This need to be better is because in his conjured up past, he’s a titan from a water world. He cannot be weak because if he was weak, he couldn’t have possibly owned a realm all to himself. He couldn’t possibly justify actions where he’s top dog and flaunt himself as a gift to this world by simply existing. It also justifies his lack of thinking, his lack of planning. His confidence that he can walk into a room, any room in fact, and come out ok regardless of the situation. A LOT of this persona is based on a misunderstanding between the two, including who is truly in “control” of the other. Because as far as Leith is concerned, he’s the one who makes the rules with Arturo being his willing follower. Not the other way around.
There is however some good that comes from this false understanding of his background, however. Leith is confident. He IS easy to talk to, even if he curses all the time. He’s willing to be out in the open and make himself “vulnerable” because he doesn’t believe another can truly harm him. Because he operates on instinct and prefers to keep things simple, he’s unironically sharp. Picking out the key details of a situation and throwing the rest to the wind because they are fluff. Or unimportant. He’s willing to speak his mind and be about as honest and open as one can be, regardless of the situation. And honestly, he’s got a sort of charm because he’s never trying to be something more. He’s simply himself. For better or worse and that sense of self is unshakeable.
But as expected there are some issues that come with the lie. For one thing, he believes himself to be superior to most around him. Thus, he cannot stand his authority or sense of self being questioned. Making him temperamental and having outbursts of anger. It also makes him surprisingly fearful because if he’s not the best, then who is? It opens the possibility for things that are out of his control to happen. Things he can’t even consider because of his refusal to plan ahead of time. Yet he cannot express these concerns or fears. Because he believes himself to be more capable and powerful than is true. Not to mention, seeing the constant “vulnerable” state of Arturo makes him a bit self-conscious. And the other summoned him almost exclusively because he’s strong. So, if he’s not, then Arturo made a mistake in summoning him. And he CANNOT accept the idea of being a mistake. It’s unacceptable, thus he’ll put up the tough guy act until the day he or Arturo dies if only to live up to the expectation the other has of him.
Physical Description:
Base Form:
Leith’s base form is interesting. Surprisingly he’s humanoid in appearance with a male leaning as can be seen by how his body, light white-blue “flesh” sculps itself into a toned male physique. The exception to this is his face which is simply a pitch-black skull. The insides glow however with the same white-blue material and shows that while the exterior is a skull, he has a mouth and tongue. So however, this works, it's all attached. It gets a bit weirder when you realize that his face can contort and create expressions even though it looks to be solid in nature and should otherwise be immovable. His speech when speaking in this form is wispy, ethereal, yet rough. Matured or aged even. Overall Leith looks something akin to a surprisingly stacked ghost of sorts. And it doesn’t help that whatever material makes his glowing main body gives him a bit of a smokey effect. It’s likely some kind of solid nitrogen or perhaps dry ice as even being around him drops the temperature drastically.
It should be noted also that Leith is not a small individual. He is no less than 6 feet 5in tall and is physically proportional. His musculature is easily seen as defining details are darker than other portions of his body. (Think of the natural crevices and wrinkles that get made from someone who is very muscular.) Ethereal vibe and skull for a face put aside he’s otherwise surprisingly human. And were he just colored differently could easily pass off as just a normal guy in cosplay or otherwise dressing up. The only other truly noteworthy thing about his base form is that he is constantly wet. It looks akin to him being sweaty or stepping out a shower as he constantly produces liquid nitrogen. This then ensures that his clothing is usually on the damp side or darkened like he walked in from a rainstorm while he’s wearing clothing.
Speaking of clothing, let's take a minute to go over his attire. First and foremost, Leith is an enjoyer of jackets. Typically, brown leather or heavy cloth with some interior fuzz. He generally sticks to earthy colors such as green, brown, tan, and blue. Make no mistake though, he will and does wear bright colors also, especially enjoying yellows, pinks, and reds. Even if they would otherwise clash or be “gaudy”. But that’s usually on the basis of aggravating Arturo who wears nothing but black, white, and gray. Most of his clothing is very casual, almost never wearing nicer or otherwise impressive clothing. And typically dressed for comfort more so than anything else. He does however take one thing from Arturo and that’s wearing boots. Worker boots, military boots, dress boots, it doesn’t matter. He always enjoys wearing boots in part for the extra height they give him as well as how it feels like he can step on anyone and anything without breaking them.
Intermediary Form:
When changing into his intermediary form it should be noted that this is almost never done for sport. This is strictly a battle form and thus he will almost never just exist in it without good reason. This form however is far more in line with what one would expect of a bount doll. He becomes a humanoid aquatic sea creature. Keeping the overall body shape of two legs, two arms, one head but then gaining a tail, fins, gills, whiskers, and scales throughout his body. For starters his overall body color is teal with the undersides of his arms, chest and the back of his legs fading to white. And has a burnt orange / russet red fin color. These appear all over his body. Such as a series of sizable fins on his backside that trail down to the tip of his tail. Underneath his arms that connect to his sides, at the sides of his skull which replace his ears, and in between his fingers and toes. As far as gills are concerned he has several sets of them. On either side of his shoulders, over the sides of his ribs, and under his collar bones.
Other details to note are his eyes and mouth. For one he actually gains eyes in this form, one on either side of his head. He has bright golden irises with black sclera and just little strips of red flesh around them. They do not “blink” in the same way as human eyes blink and instead a see through piece of flesh glides over them. As for his mouth it’s covered by tendrils or whiskers he’s got. Decently thick at about 2-3in wide and they trail down to his collarbone. Some spawn from his upper jaw and a few smaller ones spawn from his lower jaw. Past these he has an actual mouth akin to sharks. Sizeable and with several rows of teeth to tear into whatever he consumes. It should also be noted that with regards to his tail, instead of spawning from just above his butt it actually spawns from halfway down his back and reaches up to 7 feet in length.
As mentioned, Leith produces liquid nitrogen constantly. However, where it was akin to sweating or stepping out a shower in his previous form, Leith in this form is pouring liquid nitrogen. So, it always looks like he’s under water that is spawning from the top of his head, all the way to his feet and puddling beneath him. There are usually no clothes to mention for this form, as scarcely anything actually fits on him in this form. But if he were to have any, it’d be scarce like a loin cloth or something that covers his chest like a vest. Light and easy to move with. Lastly it should be noted that Leith does in fact grow larger in this form, now becoming 10 feet tall with a sort of muscular skin and bones look to him.
Final Form:
In Leith’s final form, this is where he becomes the water titan he remembers of. He becomes an incredible monster of the ocean. Capping out at 35 feet in length from tip of his head to the tip of his tail and 13 feet tall. He no longer holds a humanoid form and instead operates more akin to a fish with his lower body being akin to a tail and a few tendrils or claws. While his upper body looks akin to something of a monstrous humanoid form. He has a solid neck and head with no easily seen eyes and some arms that double as massive fins almost like wings. A couple smaller ones hidden underneath that are more akin to claws with webbing between them and fins underneath them. His backside is a plethora of spikes and other rocky appendages looking like he took solid boulders and glued them to his back. His chest however is something else. Simply put, he has a beak like an octopus near where a sternum would be and several tentacles surrounding it. 6 total with 3 on each side of his chest. Two tentacles have only spikes while the other four have a tri prong of claws he can use to grab things. Considering his main body size makes all of these extra appendages massive.
His main limbs are 10 feet in length with fins stretching several feet before connecting to his back. His smaller limbs are 6 feet in length and are 4.5 feet in height with 2 feet of pure muscle. The tentacles around his chest beaks reach up to 15 feet each. With the spikes on them 2 to 3 feet long. The claws on them are 3.5 feet in length and seem to be made of moveable stone. The beaks on his chest are 3 and each are 3 feet in length, assuming they are poking out of his chest. Typically they slide within his body and remain closed. However if opened they reveal a hole that is 6 feet in diameter that is directly connected to his stomach. Further down his underside are a couple of other claws/crab legs. They typically remain held next to his body as he swims in the liquid nitrogen ocean he creates but they can be used to grab or otherwise move himself. They are smaller than his other limbs though and reach out 5 feet in total length and are 3 feet thick with a hard carapace for skin.
It should be noted that in this form it is typically impossible to see just how much liquid nitrogen Leith is producing. And that is because it is enough to produce effectively a lake or large ponds worth. And thus, taking him out of the “water” he’s created is only going to show that he is producing miniature waterfalls of liquid nitrogen.
Overall Power: Waters of Evolution
Leith’s power is fairly simple all things considered. He is able to “evolve” and change his form to a more combat suited form going from a simple humanoid creature to an aquatic creature and ending at a sea monster of myth. However even at his base state does he have the main feature of his monstrous forms. The ability to produce liquid nitrogen. So long as Arturo releases Leith he is always producing liquid nitrogen. However, depending on his current stage of evolution changes how much liquid nitrogen he produces. The amounts will be covered later on, for now the big point to note is that he can produce them. So what happens if someone comes in contact with Leith or the liquid nitrogen he produces? Simply put it will immediately evaporate and freeze whatever has come in contact with it. The more something comes in contact with the larger the area of effect will be.
The requirements to endure the freezing of an object or person changes depending on the level of Leith. If Leith is class 6 or lower one simply needs a 1 in Cold Tolerance. If he is class 5 or 4 then an individual needs a 2 in Cold Tolerance. If Leith is class 3 or 2 then an individual or object needs a 3 in Cold Tolerance. And if he is class 1 or higher then an individual or object needs a 4 in Cold Tolerance. If these requirements are met, then an individual can endure the cold for 4 posts before any freezing starts to set in. Should these not be met you get a single post per point in Cold Tolerance to endure the cold.
After begins the freezing process in which the parts that are in contact with the liquid nitrogen begin to freeze. This starts at the skin level, then goes to the upper muscles, then the lower muscles, and ends at the bones. For the purposes of the internal organs (Brain for the skull and those housed within the torso freezing to the bones includes them.) In addition to having Cold Tolerance an individual can also gain posts to endure the cold by having more OS. If an individual's OS is greater than Leiths but not 1.25x his OS they gain a single post. If they are 1.25x Leith’s OS they gain 2 posts. This goes on until someone is more than 2x his OS. If an individual is greater than 2x Leith’s OS then they will be immune. These enduring posts between OS and Cold Tolerance stack between one another. Allowing someone to get up to 9 total posts if they had 2x Leith’s OS and the requisite Cold Tolerance.
Once these enduring posts are spent however, that's when the freezing will commence. Depending on Leith’s class depends on how long it takes to get through a layer described earlier. At class 6 and under this takes 4 instances of contact. At class 5-4 this takes 3 instances of contact. And at class 3-2 it takes 2 instances of contact. And finally at class 1 this becomes upon every instance of contact. It should also be noted that a frozen section of the body has some inherent disadvantages. When the skin is frozen it becomes brittle, shattering from attacks that are equal in strength to the victims. Techniques such as Hierro will clash with Leith’s OS. If Leith wins the clash the skin follows the above, if the technique wins it operates as normal. When the upper muscles are frozen that section of the body slows down by 20%. When the lower muscles are frozen the body can only move at 40% and reduces all physical skills by 1 for the affected area. (Weapons, martial arts, body, etc.) When the bones are frozen the limb is considered paralyzed and useless.
Finally, we get to the quantities of liquid nitrogen produced. While Leith is in his base form, he produces enough liquid nitrogen to coat his skin in a fine sheen. Occasionally a few droplets form, namely from his fingers, feet, chin. Effectively the extremities. If he’s wearing clothing, his clothing is considered to be soaked in liquid nitrogen. At most he can produce small pools at his feet no more than half a foot in size and that’s assuming he stands in the same spot for at least 3 posts. While Leith is in his intermediary form, he looks at those liquid nitrogen is constantly flowing off of him from his head as the source point. It’s like his body is akin to a geyser. At any point, Leith will create puddles of water that are 2 feet in diameter if he is standing in one spot for half a post. If for some reason, he stays in a puddle of his creation it will grow by 2 feet for every post he remains in it. Upon reaching the last stage however this is where the output of liquid nitrogen becomes massively increased. In this form Leith will create enough liquid nitrogen to make a pool of liquid nitrogen around himself. The reach of this pool is 80 in every direction from him (barring an object that will block the liquid's movement). Starting at Leith the pool is 4 feet deep and every 20 feet from him this pool reduces in depth by 1 foot. The pool follows Leith and continues to spread as Leith moves around. For an open space the pool increases its reach by 20 feet a post and increases the starting depth in his pool by 1 foot every post.
Doll 1 Techniques:
1. Evolution
This technique is the means by which Leith is able to shift into his later forms. When activated this technique treats the current form like it's a cocoon. Making the user stop moving for a moment as cracks begin to form. From there a release of reiatsu and liquid nitrogen blasts through the previous form for up to 10 feet and out steps Leith in his next highest form as described in his physical description. In terms of actual combative use, its abilities are minimal. The shell provides no form of protection against attacks and the blast of liquid nitrogen is more a reaction from increasing his natural production in his new stage as opposed to a directed blast. This technique at its base is simply just the ability to shift to a new form and unlock the techniques locked behind different forms.
Drawbacks:
It takes a moment to go through the process of breaking through the previous form. Offers no defense protection aside from the final “burst” of liquid nitrogen. This technique prevents the use of Techniques 5-8 and 9-12 depending on Leith’s class. Class 5 is needed to unlock techniques 5-8 and class 3 is needed to unlock techniques 9-12. Costs 300 reiatsu per evolution. Forces Leith to be summoned in his base form every time he’s brought into a fight. From here 3 posts must be spent in each form before an evolution can happen.
2. Nitro Splash
This technique is incredibly basic and produces a small wave that Leith can throw out in a direction of his choosing. By paying 50 reiatsu Leith can have his body produce more liquid nitrogen at his hands, feet, or his mouth. From there he can fling it out like a small splash of water that is a foot in length and height and can reach up to 20 feet in a direction of his choosing. This attack moves at 200 speed. This technique however does get two benefits if used in higher forms.
If used in his intermediary form Leith does not have to pay the reiatsu cost given his natural output is enough to allow him to produce it naturally. The distance is also increased to 30 feet in a direction. His tail is also able to produce this wave. The wave now moves at 300 speed.
If used in his final form Leith gains an increased size to the splash turning it into a wave of liquid nitrogen. The size is now 3 feet in height and length and the distance it can reach is 40 feet. His beak as well as his tail and multiple limbs can produce this wave. The wave now moves at 400 speed.
Drawbacks:
Small reiatsu cost initially. Set distance and easily dodgeable. Does not gain the benefits of class when clashing with another attack. This allows even low-class abilities to clash and possibly disperse the wave as long as their OS is equal or higher.
3. Flash Freeze
Through this technique Leith is able to freeze liquids he comes in contact with by spending some reiatsu and rapidly evaporating the liquid nitrogen on a limb in question. Liquids that are not spiritually reinforced immediately freeze upon contact with said limb while those that are spiritually reinforced have a 10% OS reduction in the clash. (This reduction increases to 20% in his final form). This can be used on Nitro Splash or other bodies of liquid nitrogen he’s produced though they lose the properties of the overall and turn into slightly more durable attacks. Their durability increases by 1.25x his OS. With regards to other liquids, he can freeze up to 10 feet of liquid for every 50 reiatsu he spends so long as he makes contact with the liquid.
This technique gains a couple of benefits if he’s in a higher form. For his intermediary form he is able to generate spikes up to half a foot long on the liquids he’s freezing. Intermediary form is still only able to freeze sections of 10 feet at a time. For his final form he is able to freeze sections up to 20 feet in size in addition to liquid-based abilities being reduced by 20% of their OS in the clash.
Drawbacks:
While liquids can be frozen there are some that do not get reduced in OS. And that is any liquid that is heated, I.E. steam or otherwise superheated material. Scalding hot water, magma, etc. The OS for those liquids remains at full. Must be in contact with the liquid in question to freeze it. If used on Nitro Splash or other liquid nitrogen he’s produced it will not apply an instance of freezing. Spikes can only be created while in Intermediary form or higher. Freezing more liquids requires more reiatsu.
4. Frozen Rush
This technique is Leith’s basic stepping technique. When used, Leith over produces liquid nitrogen in his feet and immediately freezes it causing a thin layer of frozen nitrogen to be produced. This nitrogen ice is extremely slippery and allows Leith to skate his way to a given destination. This technique moves at 10x his speed and has a base distance of 30 feet. The step multiplier speed increases depending on the form Leith is in. Intermediary is 11x his speed and final form is 12x his speed. The ice created can propel him up so long as he’s given a running start. I.E. he could go up 20 feet and but has to give the other 10 feet for speed build up. He can bring others with him, so long as he’s holding onto them; however, for each person brought, the speed is reduced by 2x. This can be used on liquid surfaces, including his own liquid nitrogen. The distance this technique can move Leith to is increased by 15 feet in each form above base. (Intermediate form is 45 feet, Final is 60 feet.)
Drawbacks:
Uses Arturo’s step technique limits. Slows down per additional person brought and he must be able to hold them. The technique does not stop his movement at the chosen destination if that destination does not attach to the ground or a liquid surface. I.E. he makes a ramp 10 feet in the air, he will be flung from it as there is no ground to stop his movement. If started in the air, this will force him to go down towards the ground. Thus he must catch himself or otherwise prepare for impact with something. Costs 50 reiatsu per step.
Techniques 5 - 8 are locked behind class 5
5. Frozen armaments
While in his intermediary form Leith is able to freeze sections of his body by rapidly evaporating the liquid nitrogen he produces. This creates segments of frozen nitrogen that can act like armor or that can create blades or spikes. When armor segments are made, they have 1.5x his OS in durability. When he creates spikes or melee weapons, they use his OS as their OS and durability. The weapons and armor do not inherently have liquid nitrogen running over them and thus require a post before they become covered in liquid nitrogen. To create armor costs 75 reiatsu while creating a single spike or blade costs 50 reiatsu. The creation speed is 500 and can reach a maximum of 5 feet off of him.
There is an additional feature to the melee weapons. And that is Leith, so long as he has 600 strength can flex them off from his body and fire them like projectiles. These projectiles use shockwaves as the means of propulsion but do not gain the armor bypassing properties. This allows them to move at 600 speed and use his strength as their OS. It should be noted for the armor that so long as it's not destroyed, the durability can be repaired by paying 50 reiatsu.
Drawbacks:
Fire and other heat related abilities do 25% more damage to the armor or weapons created by this power. Armor must be paid for per limb that it is covering. This makes a total set of armor cost 450 reiatsu. (two arms, two legs, torso, and head) Delay in being able to coat the armor/weapons in liquid nitrogen.
6. Nitro Brew
With this technique Leith is able to create bubbles of frozen nitrogen. The unique thing about these bubbles is that they are basically bombs as liquid nitrogen in a contained object expands and creates a great deal of pressure. However these bombs come with a couple benefits. First and foremost they are able to be used by those who aren’t Leith and second they count as instances for the sake of Leith’s overall due to the explosion involving liquid nitrogen. These bubbles are slightly frozen on the outside thus allowing them to contain the liquid nitrogen. The OS of these bubbles are equal to Leith’s OS and have an explosive radius of 15 feet. The blast aside from putting liquid nitrogen on them is concussive in nature. When using this technique Leith creates 3 in a single instance and each is half a foot in diameter. If this technique is used while in his final form the bubbles become 2 feet in diameter and explode out to 30 feet.
Drawbacks:
These can be taken and used against Leith. While he will not suffer from the liquid nitrogen freezing, he will still suffer from the explosive blast. They will explode if hit by any attack meaning keeping them on your person is also harmful. Costs 150 reiatsu per set of bubbles created.
7. Seeping Chill
When Leith enters into his intermediary form his liquid nitrogen gains a new property to its mix. A simple but deadly one. When it comes in contact with an individual it begins to freeze more than just their body. It freezes their soul but more specifically it freezes their reiatsu. What this does is it makes small portions of one’s reiatsu effectively unusable due the fact that it’s frozen and will not respond. Mechanically this places a set amount of reiatsu that goes into a new bank total. Reiatsu in this new bank cannot be used for techniques or abilities. Reiatsu is transferred into this bank at 5% for every instance of contact the victim has with Leith’s liquid nitrogen. Should an individual's remaining reiatsu get frozen they do not die but instead pass out. Until then it is simply unusable until it either naturally thaws out or is actively thawed as explained later. This effect is in addition to Leith’s overall. There is no reiatsu cost for this ability as it is effectively paid for by paying Evolution’s reiatsu cost.
Drawbacks:
Only applies while Leith is in intermediary or final form. Requires the individual to be hit either by Leith or by techniques that use liquid nitrogen. Solid frozen nitrogen does not proc this ability.
Points in Cold Tolerance reduce the percentage by 1 until a 4 in Cold tolerance, in which case this technique is nullified. With regards to OS clashes additional percentages are given for every 10% higher an individual's OS is compared to Leith’s. This caps at 1.5x Leith’s OS making this technique nullified.
Reiatsu can be thawed out completely by spending 50 reiatsu for every 100 that’s frozen. Though reiatsu can be spent in sets of 50. Reiatsu also naturally thaws out at a rate of 100 per post. For those actively using a fire/heat-based technique or ability they thaw out 50 reiatsu per class of the ability.
7-8 = 50 reiatsu
6-5 = 100 Reiatsu
4-3 = 150 reiatsu
2-1 = 200 reiatsu
8. Nitro Cannon
This technique is about as simple as the title. Leith channels reiatsu into his maw, hands, or feet and is able to overproduce liquid nitrogen like a localized geyser. Effectively it's a beam attack but with liquid nitrogen. However, the interesting difference is that when the blast comes in contact with something it immediately freezes and creates a series of spikes. Both the spikes and the blast itself can harm an individual and coming in contact with this blast counts as an instance for Leith’s overall. Even more interestingly when used from his feet this gives Leith the means to propel himself at his OS, creating a frozen pillar of nitrogen that he can direct so long as he keeps the technique up. This technique can be used for a single blast or can be maintained and used over the course of a post. The blast has a range of 75 feet.
Drawback:
Costs 100 reiatsu when used in a single instance, costs 200 when used over the course of a post. 1 post cooldown if used over the duration of a post.
Techniques 9 - 12 are locked behind class 3
9. Arctic Metamorphosis
Leith in his final form is a monster. No two if ands or buts about it. The issue though comes from the fact that he cannot always fit into a space due to being 13 feet tall and 35 feet long. So this technique seeks to fix that. During the process of evolving into his final form or later post transformation, Leith can go through a short miniature evolution where the outcome is the means to change his size back to a more reasonable size, specifically his 10 foot size from his previous form. Doing this requires a post of channeling reiatsu throughout his body and then on the following post freezing his entire body and shattering the previous form. From this he becomes a smaller version of his final form. 10 feet long, 4 feet tall and physically identical. This new form can revert and grow to his original form's height and length upon desire. This doesn't cost reiatsu.
Aside from a size change this ability gives him a single beneficial ability. It allows him to blend in with his liquid nitrogen. Upon entering the pool, he creates of liquid nitrogen his body begins to turn clear just like the liquid nitrogen he produces. To see Leith and follow his movements requires 300 senses or 200 ES. A 2 in Anti-Stealth or 2 in Focused eye will allow for his outline to be seen.
Drawbacks:
Costs 200 reiatsu and requires a post of channeling energy. Anti-Stealth and Focused eye of 2 bypass the stealth portion of this technique. 300 Senses or 200 ES also bypass this technique. To activate the stealth portion requires a 2-foot depth of liquid nitrogen minimum as this allows for half of his body to be covered by the liquid nitrogen.
10. Frigid Embrace
While Leith is in his final form, he produces so much liquid nitrogen that its constant evaporation causes localized weather effects from dropping the temperature around him as well as the air pressure. This causes storm clouds to appear in the nearby area but more importantly it causes freezing cold winds that whip up the liquid nitrogen around and effectively make a sort of constantly active winter typhoon. This causes a few different effects. The most notable being that so long as an individual is within 15 feet of Leith, they gain an instance of being in contact with his liquid nitrogen.
In addition, Leith is able to use natural air ground even in areas that generally wouldn’t allow it. This is due to freezing the dense reiatsu in the area to the point that it becomes able to sustain his weight when he chooses to begin moving into the air / sky. As far as cinematics are concerned Leith will look as though he is “swimming” through the sky. There is no reiatsu cost for this due to being paid for by Evolutions reiatsu cost to enter his final form.
The final effect is what’s most notable and this effect causes fire or heat-based abilities generated within this localized storm to be stunted. Mechanically this causes either the ability to be 15% weaker in its OS or to be 15% more costly in its creation.
Drawbacks:
Those with higher OS than Leith do not gain an additional instance of contact with his liquid nitrogen. If the OS of the individual using a fire or heat-based ability is 25% stronger than Leith’s they do not suffer either penalty. A 2 in Cold Tolerance will also ignore the on contact proc in addition to making the OS clash for the fire/heat-based abilities needing only superior OS.
11. Bitter Spout
When this technique is activated, reiatsu is channeled to any limb, tail, or fin on Leith's body. This prompts his body to overproduce liquid nitrogen as well as to agitate it some. Then when the selected body part is moved, it produces a waterspout made completely of liquid nitrogen. This spout reaches from the pool below up to 50 feet in the air and is 5 feet in diameter. Like a natural spout this causes an intense suction to everything within 30 feet of it. Those with Strength higher than the OS of this Spout can ignore the suction force. The OS of this suction is equal to Leith’s OS. This occurs regardless of if the intended victim is in the sky or on the ground. And should an enemy be unfortunate enough to be dragged into the spout they will find themselves engulfed in liquid nitrogen and being thrown around by it from direction to direction. By the end of the post, they are caught within it, they will be thrown out of it at a speed equal to the suction OS unless the sprout comes in contact with a solid object.
Those affected by this attack suffer a full body instance of contact for both the post they were engulfed in but also the post after due to being effectively waterlogged by the liquid nitrogen. These spouts are uncontrolled and last 2 posts, including the creation post. Up to 3 can be made at one time. These move at a speed of 600 and cannot move onto dry land. These spouts encircle Leith after their creation post. And finally, upon expiring they add an additional 10 feet to the pool around Leith.
Drawbacks:
Costs 200 reiatsu upon creation. Lasts 2 posts and has a maximum limit of 3 at a time. If the spouts are destroyed so too is the liquid nitrogen, they would add to Leith’s pool. Limited to the pool in the travel area.
12. Frozen Depths
This technique is Leith’s pinnacle technique. His be all and end all as far as a fight is concerned. When activated Leith produces his maximum amount of liquid nitrogen possible and fires geysers out above him, in front of him, behind him, and to each side of him. These geysers fire out at his OS but are not intended to harm an enemy and instead push enemies or others caught in their blast away. Instead they are meant to reach out to their maximum distance and then freeze themselves into a sphere. The distance that these geysers fire out is 80 feet in each direction. Once reached the geysers of liquid nitrogen freeze and create a rough and spiky interior bubble.
This frozen barrier is equal to 3x Leith’s OS in durability and is so thick it prevents light from entering the bubble. The speed of the geysers is 2000 as is the freezing of the liquid nitrogen into a bubble. While the bubble exists light does not exist within making sight impossible. Instead sound will be the dominant factor for locating one another or ES. That is until the third post, at that point ES or radar/sensing technique will be the only ways to find another as the liquid nitrogen muffles all sounds. This technique doesn’t stop there however, as the entire space begins filling with liquid nitrogen over the course of 3 posts. Unlike the initial blast of liquid nitrogen, the remainder remains liquid instead of freezing.
Drawbacks:
Costs 1000 reiatsu. Can only be used once a thread. Lack of sight affects all trapped within. The blasts of liquid nitrogen do not inherently harm those who are caught in the blast and only apply a single instance of contact. To leave his own bubble requires Leith either be unsummoned by Arturo and then Arturo walks out, or he must destroy his own bubble to leave. After the third post, Leith is unable to produce liquid nitrogen for 5 posts. Takes 4 posts to fill up the entire bubble. The first post makes the bubble, and the remaining 3 posts fill up the bubble.

3.
Technique Name: Versteckter Verbündeter (Hidden Ally) - Learned
Technique Class: 7 cinematic
Technique Type: Spiritual
Usable By: Bount
Technique Element: Doll
Description:
Versteckter Verbündeter is a very simple technique. Dolls are typically viewed as weapons only and thus have only ever truly been brought out when a fight begins. Or is believed to be near. However certain bount, and more specifically certain dolls, are not keen on only being out and about at the beck and whim of the bount. Let alone only ever fighting. That’s where this technique shines. This technique allows for a doll that the bount has access to, to either manifest itself at will or when the bount wills it. However instead of manifesting them in their normal form this technique instead allows for the doll to be manifest in a human form. This form is decided upon learning the technique or when increasing its proficiency level to higher grades. (Proficient or Mastered) and must be tracked in one’s point bank. The human form of the doll can be changed with a simple post in the point bank.
The biggest benefit to this technique is that while the technique is active unless an individual has 50 ES (100 at mastered) they will be unable to tell that the doll is anything but a human by their energy. This can however be bypassed by a 1 in Analysis or Focused eye. (2 in either at Mastered). This does not however make the doll’s true form revealed; it simply allows the user to sense their true energy. This technique can be used on every doll a bount has access to and have all their dolls summoned in this manner so long as their proficiency level is equal to the number of dolls. (learned - 1, proficient - 2, mastered - 3 or 4 for those whose types give an additional doll)
How to Use:
Hold out the object that the doll is attached too and then say “Versteck dich” (Hide yourself)
Drawbacks:
100 reiatsu that can be paid at the start of the thread or when used. Depending on when the doll is hidden away. This cost is paid per doll. Upon actually starting combat or releasing a doll in their full capacity this technique deactivates and disperses the dolls not actively summoned for combat. Number of dolls that can use this is dependent on proficiency level as is how many can be manifested at one time. Can be seen through with relative ease.

Francesca Napolitano - Aunt
Alessia Napolitano - Grandmother
Talia Napolitano - Sibling, known by name only
History:
Arturo’s story starts a good bit into the past. Nearly 200 years ago. You may be wondering why events over 100 years in the past would matter but the answer to that is simple. This was the time when Rosa and Giorno Napolitano had become bounts. Changed into physical beings of supernatural might by a cloaked “visitor” of the night. Later found out to have also been another bount. Per Rosa and Giorno’s personal account, they were drained nearly completely of blood. Having been bitten in their necks and attacked shortly after Rosa had given birth to Arturo’s elder sibling Talia and then left for dead. What the cloaked invader had screwed up on was not ensuring that there was not a drop of blood remaining. Because the unfortunate truth of the matter was the two were in a monastery of sorts where the nuns assisted many others with injuries. Not just pregnant women who were to give birth. Thus, allowing the two nearly dead parents to be immediately taken care of and by the grace of some unknown deity nursed back to health. It was not an easy recovery however as the two were sickened with an unknown “illness” I.E. their body changing while recovering from their near-death experience and this had the pair effectively confined to their beds for nearly two months. Severe “shakes”, temperature fluctuations, inability to hold down food for long, and immense pain that felt as though their blood and their souls were on fire.
Eventually the hell the two would have endured would slowly but surely ebb and fade away. Taking another additional month before they could finally walk on their own and even consider returning to their, now ransacked, abode. Childless. Broke. And somehow. . . different. The couple initially attempted to return to their lives, putting the horrors of what had happened behind them. However, as time went on several noteworthy changes began to make themselves apparent. For one, they were notably nocturnal or at least they preferred the night. They had lingering hunger and a strange desire to consume liquids of all kinds. Though nothing ever quite hit the particular vein of what they wanted. They also found themselves effectively becoming ageless. While their peers aged and withered before their eyes, they remained in their 30’s. Yet they continued to age despite their physical appearance only ever changing slightly, if that. When rumors and hushed voices began to become far more common with regards to their strange nature the two decided they needed to leave and decided to move back to Giorno’s parents' abode. Needless to say, the transition was. . . difficult. Alessia had slammed the door on Giorno’s face several times as he continued to attempt to show he was her son.
Two weeks after having arrived she finally humored the forsaken couple. It took only a couple minutes for her jaw to drop as she realized that this was indeed her son. Somehow, despite the years moving past them he’d not aged much. And it wasn’t just him, his wife Rosa was of a similar constitution. The next couple months were something of an awkward transition. The story of that night was told time and time again. The household came together trying to think up reasons to give their neighbors and those of the city to buy them more time to figure things out. Excuses were made and with a little luck and some “elbow grease” the family was left to their own devices. Small rumors occasionally popping up but quickly being forgotten about as other events came and took precedence.
It took a few years before Alessia, of all the family present, realized what had occurred. It was a myth. A scary story told around fires or used as a lesson to ensure that kids acted properly. And yet, it was the only thing that could explain what had happened to them. At the time they were called Revenants but for the more modern term it would be Vampires. Initially the pair couldn’t begin to believe that such a silly idea could even begin to explain what was occurring to their bodies. Namely because to even become a revenant you’d have to die and then typically were disgusting and rotting. The two were in perfect condition. In fact, they were in some ways in better condition than ever before. So initially the idea was thrown out by Giorno as well as Rosa. But Alessia persisted and eventually got the two to agree to a test. Just a simple, easy trial that would tell them if they were a revenant or not. And that was drinking some of her blood. The two were naturally hesitant but eventually agreed so long as the quantity was small. Alessia acquiesced and they tested her theory. The results. . . were nearly immediate. The two were nearly whipped into a frenzy given they’d gone for several years without having the blood of another.
In fact, in the process, they actually had very nearly attacked Alessia but thankfully the bonds of family held strong, and the pair simply left for the night. When they returned, they were unnaturally calm and Alessia suspected they had decided to kill something to satisfy themselves. With the proof before them, the family had to come to terms about what to do. They couldn’t live their lives as humans anymore. Things for them. . . simply didn’t work that way anymore. The pair made the decision to leave and wander around Europe. Partially in search of a cure and partially for lack of a better idea on what to do. This likely would have been where the story of Rosa and Giorno would have ended had Alessia not been present on the night the two were making to leave. She offered an alternate idea. To travel Europe yes, but to find and collect the family. To change the entire family into revenants, vampires, and then together as a family determine where next to go. What next to do. And as a family ensure that all were taken care of as necessary. The pair were uncertain. They didn’t know if they could agree to that. Especially when the process had nearly killed them. Or perhaps it had. Regardless Rosa and Giorno eventually complied and for the next several years things went about as expected. The family traveled as one. Becoming something akin to gypsies as more and more of the family agreed to become revenants.
It is at this point we skip to Arturo’s birth. At the beginning of the 1900’s the Napolitano family had predominantly been converted to bounts. With a few families and their children having declined on the offer. Some politely while others were. . . less than pleasant. Regardless due to both world events and the passage of time the entire remaining family was converted and those that weren’t had died out. Starting from the 1850’s there were no longer any human Napolitano’s. And ever since the fateful night where the family had decided to convert one another Alessia remained the head, ever cunning, ever on the lookout, and ever working both on stage and behind the scenes to ensure her family was taken care of. Hence the reason they had moved everyone to Japan. A place where questions were asked but answers could be dubious. A place where they stuck out but not because they were vampires. And even better? They were far more willing to believe and adhere to certain rules and ideologies that were favorable to the family even under the guise of “human”. The family spread itself throughout the country and began to make moves to solidify themselves. Typically, in the shadows but sometimes taking the occasional spotlight and weaving their way into the pockets of those with power and authority. . . until they were eventually those individuals. The family name Napolitano meant something. Even if they were foreign originally and protected them from intrusive eyes while allowing for certain. . . luxuries.
It was at this point that Arturo was born, off the record, as the newest bount of the family. There were high hopes for him. As the newest blood in the family and born of the parents who’d had their first child stolen from them with what could only be considered a heavy price for the lives they lived now. It was the silent hope of the family that Arturo would eventually take on the role of Head from Alessia and allow her to return to her peace in her newfound eternal life. Even if she was a vampire now and in the best condition she’d ever been, she was still weary and needed the stresses of life to leave her for a time. Arturo was. . . anything but their hopes. Perhaps there was too much placed upon him before he was even born. Perhaps he just wasn’t built to be a head of anything. Perhaps this was fate’s way of mocking the family and giving them even more turns and twists to navigate. Regardless of the reason, Arturo just wasn’t like them in many ways. Despite never having been born a human he was as frail as one. Getting ill and injuring himself like most of the family had back when they were human.
He was also cowardly and fearful frequently. In part due to his first interaction with a hollow. A beast the family learned very quickly were the real monsters in the world. And Arturo at the tender age of 5 had very nearly been killed by one as he had originally seen a canine hollow and mistaken it for a stray dog. It had nearly crushed him in its jaws and consumed him then and there had Rosa not intervened and torn said dog to shreds on the spot. More and more small signs showed how drastically different he was from the family. He never got “The Urge” or “The Hunger”. Always satisfied with simple human food. He clearly saw and could interact with the spiritual world and surprisingly had been able to do so since shortly after he was born. But that was arguably the only supernatural trait he’d had. Otherwise, his capabilities both magical and physical were subpar. He would continue to baffle them as he grew up. Developing slowly or in some cases not at all. He was as smart as any human child as cunning as the family and yet never felt the need to use it for his own gain. Not even playfully. He was for all intents and purposes human despite his clearly being supernatural.
Had he not maintained his youthful appearance the family would have very well have been convinced he was human more than he was anything else. Especially considering he’d never even gained the means to summon forth a servant as some members of the family had done. Typically, those of the more magically inclined which was not common in the family. Regardless, his years were spent in relative peace, ignoring the several instances that for one reason or another had him attract the attention of hollows. If anything was supernatural about him, it was his uncanny ability to attract hollows to him at the worst times and places. The family for several decades were certain that in some regard Arturo was likely cursed. Thus, began some of the family’s distance being created. This would be the beginning of Arturo’s distaste for his family and their decisions. Between his “curse” and his lack of capabilities he began to notice that those who weren’t his mother, father, Alessia, and a single aunt and uncle, he was ignored. As though he wasn’t important enough to even be acknowledged. Even as a failure.
This sparked his parents as well as Alessia, his uncle, and aunt to begin to put more pressure on him. Perhaps in his early years they had been too lenient on him. They wondered if perhaps his lack of progression and lack of capability was tied to his lack of stressors or active engagement. It was decided that he would be put through more training. More schooling. More of everything if only to try and tease out something from him. Something that could make the remainder of the family come to accept him. And yet it never came. His body remained frail. His speed occasionally increased but not much beyond human capabilities. His “magical” talent was lacking or nonexistent. No matter how many times he’d been attacked he’d never produced a servant. He just simply remained “human” to the dismay of everyone in the family. Eventually the family had to give up, come to terms that Arturo simply was just a sheep in a family of wolves. But that never dissuaded his parents from continuing to push and try to bring out more of whatever had to lie within him. They couldn’t accept that he was as human as they had been.
Arturo was their child after all. He had to be more. He was expected to be more. He NEEDED to be more. And thus began their manipulations. Their encroaching upon his life. He became sheltered further and had to endure more grueling lessons and training. Only for the results to yet still become the same as before. But they were insistent. They weren’t going to give up. Alessia never said a word on the matter. Only ever turning a blind eye and allowing it, quietly in the hopes that Arturo would eventually find that spark. She was certain he would eventually, but she had to wonder how long it would take. She also had to wonder how much of their “methods” were actually going to help him grow. He was, after all, becoming more and more rebellious. Dying his hair. Throwing away all forms of etiquette and formalities. Respect that they’d received from him in his younger years was lost. He lashed against those who would acknowledge him as much as those who wouldn't. And the family who wouldn’t acknowledge him refused to do so. Under the notion that he couldn’t possibly be related to them. That a “human” could be related to them after all the branches were trimmed.
He became a center of controversy in the family. An outcast at the best of times and a ghost at the worst of times. Finally, as the 2000’s rolled by, Arturo would find himself lashing out against the family almost instinctively. Returning their cold gazes and acting as though they never existed either. He took active steps to leave the family, even leaving the manor for days, weeks, even a couple months at a time. Only to return when he failed to make it on his own. Sometimes due to being unable to hold a job. Other times being unable to fend for himself. Most of the time was due to the hollow attacks that would plague him and his inability to fend them off. His only apparent saving grace were Dante and Francesca Napolitano who regardless of what others said would always treat him as they would their own children. Had they decided to ever have any. Even going so far as to try to calm and mend the bridges between Arturo and his parents as well as other family members. In time he found himself residing in their section of the Napolitano manor and hiding there as issues arose. This brings us to his current day to day where without his realizing it, the long-lost sibling he had was going to find him and change everything about his life. Whether he was ready and willing or not.
