Much like she enjoyed doing most of the time, Talia found herself roaming the streets in an attempt to find a meal. Just where was she going to go tonight? She wasn't too sure. Though, regardless of that fact, she was going to spend the night hunting. After all, it had been a long while since she had the opportunity to actually get a good hunt in.
Her most recent hunt had been rather interestingly disrupted by a dragon; who'd've thought that those existed? She had very minimal exposure to Shinigami, but that was really the extent of the spiritual bullshit she was privy to. But, a literal dragon? It had been absolutely absurd, all things considered. Though, she was left to wonder if she was going to get to meet with her again at some point.
And then before that, was the Shinigami that had come to ruin her evening. In truth, she had quite a level of resentment toward that woman. Simply put, Talia did not like losing her fights. And, for someone like that Shinigami to go out of her way to fight the way she did? She didn't let anything phase her. That drove her up a damned wall. And for what? She didn't even have the opportunity to successfully hunt.
Tonight was going to be different. She was going to get the opportunity to finally hunt for the night. In truth, she felt glad. It had been quite a bit since she had the opportunity to let loose and simply just binge on human life, so as such? She was going to take the time to do what she wanted. Nothing on earth was going to stop her if she could help it.
As she continued to walk down the street, Talia found herself coming across a rather interesting individual, seemingly walking on his lonesome as well. Just what was someone like that doing this late in the evening? She didn't know, and frankly did not care. All she saw at this point was nothing but red. Strolling up behind the man, keeping herself to the shadows as best she could, she prepared to strike.
Utilizing her full strength, and gripping the man's neck and shoulder, Talia near broke his neck in order to clear an open space for herself. Ignoring any shouts that the man decided to make, the vampire leaned in and tore into his skin with her own fangs. As both blood and spiritual energy left the man's body in the process, Talia couldn't help but feel exhilarated from the sheer adrenaline of simply enjoying her evening.
Within a short matter of time, the man had died. Dropping his body onto the sidewalk, and simply kicking it to the side, Talia gladly began to go on about her evening. Just what had the night had planned for her? She wasn't quite sure, but lord only knew she was excited to see just whom she'd encounter, and just how many people she'd drain completely dry.
Description: This is a main feeding technique of the Bount, and is the first that they learn. When they begin to feel the hunger and the thirst, this technique must be used. They can also feed with Immortality Drink, and heal as well. However, Futter is the technique which allows them to feed off of the living for greater power. First of all, the reason that Bount feed in the first place is to survive and maintain their dolls. Bount, if they sink their fangs into the neck of a victim, can use Futter to suck out ALL of the victim's reiatsu. For the duration of the thread, this reiatsu becomes usable by the Bount or by their doll. It is considered "storage reiatsu." Likewise, Bount can use this technique to drain victims of their blood. If a victim is drained of their blood after use of this technique, of course they will die. But the Bount, for every victim they feed upon in a thread, will gain a 20% increase to physical stats. And their doll will gain a 20% increase in reiatsu strength. This is for duration of the thread only.
How to Use: Stated above.
Drawback: This technique costs reiatsu, but also causes deterioration. Basically, it makes the victim even more susceptible to sunlight. If the Bount is bathed in sunlight within 24 hours of use of this technique, the Bount will suffer a heavy burning. Coupled with the burning from the last technique, this can turn a victim to ash. Also, this can be used ONLY on the living. The Immortality Drink must be used on souls. If Futter is used on a dead victim, the Bount will age 40 years physically. And if physically a human would die at the age the Bount reaches, the Bount will die.

Walking along the streets of Karakura stands the young spirit by the name of Furinji, the same spirit that over the last two weeks had been struggling to come to terms with everything that had happened. She’d gone from a mostly typical high school student that was always positive and tried to help out everyone she could, to a spirit that just felt like no matter what she couldn’t get out of this hole. She'd met a few people that helped her with this understandable depression yet without the constant influence from them she just kept falling back into it. Dr. Bright was amazing for teaching her everything she’d learned so far about being a spirit and the way things worked, but she wasn’t really the most warm of people. Still Maddie couldn’t ask for anything more as she stayed a guest and student to Dr. Bright.
The Shinigami that she’d met had been interesting although very different from one another. Neither really fit what Madelyn would have thought about when she had been alive. Now though was one of multiple nights since she started staying with Dr. Bright that Madelyn found herself out on the streets wandering while in her thoughts. Just staying inside her room while thinking gave her a strange sensation she didn’t like. That wasn’t all though, if she stayed in that room for any longer than she had her left arm starting to hurt again. This arm just always seemed to hurt randomly and she couldn’t tell why. No bruises or scars, it looked like it always had so why now did it hurt as if it were being cut open?
Wandering the streets though wasn’t what was currently bothering her. No she had realized just a couple minutes ago where she had been wandering towards likely the entire time. She’d been walking back home. She’d been subconsciously trying to get back to her grandfather and mother. Upon realization the image of them both flashed into her mind, her grandfather teaching her with a smile and her mom holding her tightly. Her lower lip quivers as her legs get weak in her sorrow and she falls to her knees. Emotions in a whirlwind weren’t something she could control now as tears began to stream down her face. Sobbing would be the only thing anyone would be able to pick up from her if she weren’t imperceivable to the living.
After a minute or two pass her, Madelyn feels the surge of pain rushing throughout her left arm that causes her to wince and look up from the ground below. The veins that run throughout her arm are visible now in an almost rageful tremble. Something that didn’t seem real, couldn’t be real why would her body be acting this way? That’s when she hears the sound of something cracking and a loud shout. Looking up she spots a couple standing on the sidewalk about two hundred feet away from her. As her eyes fall on them she feels the pain in her arm subside slightly yet it’s almost like she can’t pull her eyes from them. Scared now not of her arm entirely, but herself Madelyn feels more fear than ever before while experiencing something else controlling her vision.
As one of them falls to the ground the other walks away, Madelyn doesn’t even hesitate standing up and running through the street to the individual. Not even a minute would go by before reaching the man. Blood pooling from the wound on his neck yet Madelyn is almost certain he’s already dead by the position of his head. The woman that had been standing with him would have no issue knowing Madelyn is there as she made no attempt to hide herself. Panting after sprinting over to the body Maddie now looks up at the woman in the cold embrace of night. Despite how dark everything is with the light of the street lamps and building lights she can see blood on the lips of the woman’s remarkable beauty. “Why would you do this?”

Beginning to walk away from the scene of her crimes, Talia hummed a rather chipper tune to herself. In all honesty she was rather grateful that she had the opportunity to get ahold of such an easy meal this early into the night. If that was how the rest of the night was going to go, then lord, she was excited!
Though, one thing had caught the vampire quite off-guard. The sound of footsteps behind her, closing in had made themselves known. Before she could get very far from her last meal, it seemed that they'd stopped. In turn, Talia did the same, and didn't move a step. Just who had decided it was a good idea to close the distance with her? She couldn't help but find herself curious.
“Why would you do this?”
The voice she heard wasn't quite panicked or anything, but she seemed to pick up a level of what sounded to be distress of some kind. This was... interesting. Someone had watched Talia engage in the very evident act of taking a life, and yet here she was, fully-prepared to stop the vampire in her tracks? Just who did this woman think she was? With a soft chuckle to herself, Talia decided to go along with the woman's words.
"Why?" She repeated, "my, that can't be a hard question to answer. Why do predators hunt those that are unfit to live? Surely it can't be that hard to figure out." Turning around to face the girl, currently bent down and almost tending to Talia's latest kill, she eyed the Rogue with curiosity. It wasn't quite interest, but certainly with enough intrigue to not immediately jump the girl.
"Let me ask you this, though," she started, ever so slowly creeping closer to Maddie, closing the distance she'd just finished walking, "from the sight that just made itself prevalent, the fact that you had just watched a wolf take the life of mere cattle; what told you it was a good idea to approach? To sit before the wolf?" Smiling softly, Talia crouched down to meet Maddie's height.
"Perhaps fear of the unknown has brought you closer? To learn more?" She paused for dramatic effect. "Or, perhaps out of a desire to save this man, whoever he was. I can safely say that this poor gentleman isn't going to be waking up any time soon. If that was your goal, I'm afraid you're a bit late to the draw."
Chuckling to herself, Talia did what she could in order to study the Rogue. To try and find out just what made the woman 'tick', so to speak. She had no reason to attack Maddie right away, but if she could help it? This woman wasn't going to leave the area alive. Not while she'd been witness to Talia's actions. She had a reputation to uphold, after all. So, while she was keeping civil for the time being, she made no effort to hide the fact that this wasn't going to remain the case for long.
Madelyn now kneeling over the body of the man now, her voice almost shaking with the circumstance that she had just found herself in the middle of. There wasn’t a thought of herself in the moments that had just occurred, no she had seen a man fall to the ground and rushed over to help him without realizing that even if she got there in time, even if he wasn't already dead, there was nothing she could do for him anyway. As a spirit she couldn’t interact with the living which meant even now despite being right here there was no way for her to save the life flickering in front of her. If she had a leveled head she might have had to question why his spirit wasn’t standing beside her now, but her emotions kept such questions from her lips as she heard the voice of the woman now responding to her outcry.
"Why? my, that can't be a hard question to answer. Why do predators hunt those that are unfit to live? Surely it can't be that hard to figure out."
The answer that had been given to her was something that Madelyn couldn’t comprehend, this man was a human just the same as her, so why would she speak of him as if she were a villain in a movie. It only took a moment though for Madelyn to have a realization, one that caused her eyes to dwindle and her pupils to grow in shock. This woman had heard her, she had responded to what she had asked and now had turned and looked right at her. This lady wasn’t a normal human so what was she? She’d only heard of one thing that attacked spirits, the thing that Shinigami hunted, the real monsters . . . Hollows.
As the lady got closer to her though, Madelyn found herself unable to run, unable to stand, not even able to speak back as the pain in her left arm surged. She’d experienced the pain since finding herself back in Karakura after her death, when she had quite literally awoken in this new life as a spirit. Constantly acting randomly to cause her pain that she didn’t understand yet never had it hurt this much. It normally was crippling to her, the sensation of her forearm being torn apart, ripped into, burned even. Now though she felt all and more as her muscle fibers twitched, her blood boiled, her nerves screamed as this lady approached her.
No longer even awake of the man on the ground beside her, Madelyn sits on her knees clutching at her left arm with her right hand, the fingers on her left hand outwards stiff yet uncontrollable to her. Already tears had stained her face this night yet now they didn’t come forth due to the sorrow that plagued her heart, but the pain that oppresses her mind. This was something worse than she’d ever felt, something that she wanted to go away more than anything. Then just like that she heard the voice of the lady and opened her eyes to see her right in front of her. The moment she could see into this monster’s eyes the pain spiked reaching a height unfathomable to the young spirit who could only react with a scream of torment.
"Perhaps fear of the unknown has brought you closer? To learn more? Or, perhaps out of a desire to save this man, whoever he was. I can safely say that this poor gentleman isn't going to be waking up any time soon. If that was your goal, I'm afraid you're a bit late to the draw."
“R . . R . .RUN!”
Madelyn screams at the lady as she feels something boiling over not in her arm, but in her chest. Immediately afterwards a crude pink line would spring forth along her left arm moving downwards and upwards, down to each of her fingers and up her arm to her neck then her face reaching right up under her left eye. Her body moving upwards in an unnatural manner almost like something yanked her up onto her feet with her back bent backwards Madelyn continues to scream for a moment. Her reiatsu surged although as underdeveloped as it was it wouldn’t feel any sort of intimidating. Her left arm though would seemingly burst with reiatsu as its form changes into one covered in black metal and a silver blade protruding from her forearm.
Bending forward Madelyn would meet the eyes of this so-called predator. The young girl that had been scared, had wanted to help others, was sad, she was gone. A seemingly different entity was now staring into the eyes of the enemy with a twisted smile spread across her face. Madelyn’s right eye unchanged while her left now sporting a bright pink iris with her sclera pitch black. “Predator. Predator? Worthless sheep pretending to be wolf. HA! Time to skin the delusional!” On the top of each finger is a blade now, one pitch black like the armor. The blade on her index now extends downward at a speed of 300 with a force of 200. Enough to pierce straight through the foot of this false hunter then right into the sidewalk. If she steps back to evade, she’d find Madelyn rushing forward the blade in her left arm seemingly bigger and extending out into a short sword being swung right towards her head.
Level 7: The Bakkoto has just started to figure out how to alter Madelyn's body. Starting in the area that it lies within her body the Left Arm. Her left hand is covered in black armor with bladed fingers. These fingers can be used as weapons much like knives as they are sharpened on both sides and the tips making them deadly weapons onto themselves. At this point upon release the flesh of her left arm becomes black with a pink line that runs up her arm which seems to be the same one that appears from below her neck and up to her left eye which turns her iris pink and her sclera black. However, there are five other replicates of this line that go down to each finger. So, it seems that the lines are impressions of the Bakkoto's influence. The most noticeably change though is the fact that the main weapon of the Bakkoto is already present. A silver-colored retractable blade that is located on her forearm. This silver blade is the signature weapon of Madelyn's Bakkoto and normally is kept what appears to be in the side of her forearm with the blade only located from her wrist down to her elbow. The blade reaches two inches in thickness meaning that it can still cut individuals if they come in direct contact with her forearm.
The main power of this level though is the fact that Madelyn is already capable of manipulating parts of her body that have been altered by the Bakkoto. What's she is able to do at this point is very straight forward and rather simple. The bladed fingers of her left hand can extend outwards up to a distance of 10 meters with the following static values. (200/300 Strength/Speed - Costs 20 per finger) This makes them incredibly lethal weapons that not only can be used up close, but also from a distance. However, the fingers have nothing on the forearm blade that Madelyn is able to extend from her arm. When she does this the blade seems to eject or rather grow from her arm the length it reaches from her forearm increasing to 4 inches and the distance reaching 2'6' from her wrist. This blade essentially becomes a short sword attached to her left arm. Madelyn is capable of extending this blade though up to 2 meters from her wrist with the following values. (300/300 Strength/Speed) Other than those details the only thing to register at this point is that the backhand of her left-hand glows red with an orb as does her left eye. The orb is actually the eye of her Bakkoto.

Talia winced as the woman before her screamed. She wasn't exactly frightened or anything of the woman's sudden outburst, but it certainly caught her off-guard. Taking heed, Talia made a short hop backward. Just what had this woman been looking to do? It was certainly difficult to say, all things considered, but it seemed that she was looking to fight.
Well, who was Talia to not oblige someone in a situation like that? She was glad to fight! In fact, she'd desired to do exactly that this entire time. Perhaps she was projecting her own desires onto the girl? More than likely. Regardless of that fact, she was fully-willing to engage in conflict with this woman. Though, it seemed that even she wasn't a normal human or anything.
As Talia began to focus her attention on sensing out this woman, making use of what little sensory capabilities she had, Talia very quickly realized that her opponent had quite the spiritual presence. She certainly couldn't pick out specifics, but it seemed that she was certainly no slouch or anything. At least, compared to the vampire, whom tended to neglect her spiritual prowess. After all, why would she need to grow in that regard when her bare hands tended to accomplish the job just fine?
Though, whilst in her deliberation, it seemed that Talia had not accounted for the fact that the Rogue was more than willing to make the first move. Certainly not the most pleasant of experiences, that was for sure. Clearing back even further from the Rogue, Talia watched as the woman's claws bore deep into the ground in front of her; she'd just barely dodged the attack, if not only thanks to her preemptive jump. This woman was fast; she knew damned well that there was no way she could hope to consistently dodge attacks like that.
"You? A wolf? Drop the façade, whelp." She decided to engage in a bit of banter with the woman as she approached, though notably slower than she'd attacked previously. Perhaps those high speeds only came from whatever that growth on her body was? It was hard to say at this moment, but she'd figure it out in time. Regardless of that fact, she needed to prepare for the incoming strike against her.
Utilizing her left hand, and throwing it directly forward in a swiping motion, Talia spiritually-charged her own body in order to release a wave of spinning, razor-sharp blood aimed directly toward the woman's own body. "Know your place!" Talia shouted in response. She wasn't going to take any chances, and if she needed to burn through her spiritual capabilities in order to do so? Then so be it. She'd put this woman in her place as quickly as she needed.
As she continued to clear distance between the two of them, Talia did what she could in order to continue to play keep-away. She wasn't going to actively engage in close-range combat with someone that had the option to move leagues faster than she was capable of. Such would've been disastrous. Perhaps instead if she could lead this woman back into Karakura's residential districts? It'd be a bloodbath for sure, but she might've just had the capability to slug it out with her if she could just get some more blood in her system.
Description: Weaponizing their own body in ways never before tried, the user of this technique is capable of producing close-range attacks through the expulsion and manipulation of their own blood. Utilizing the same idea as shockwaves, and by swinging about the tips of their fingers like one would with claws, the user can release sharp, slashing streams of blood that trail behind their movements. These slashes, being completely tied to the Bount's body, rely on the user's Strength in order to deal damage, and are thus treated as "Classless". These slashes can arc as tall as the Bount is capable of moving their arms, and five total slashes with each finger will be about as wide as the Bount's body is. These slashes are incapable of traveling more than five feet away from the Bount, and will dissipate after reaching those distances. At Proficient, these expulsions need not be from the fingertips, and can instead be from anywhere on the body. At Mastered, releasing these expulsions of blood have no "start-up" time, meaning the user need not take physical action to release them.
For a Reiatsu cost based on the Class the Bount would like to use the technique at, these slashes can be imbued with spiritual properties. Instead of utilizing Strength, these spiritually-charged slashes will rely on Reiatsu Strength, can travel up to fifty feet at a time, and are far more versatile. Instead of just appearing as claw-like slashes, these streams of blood can be shaped post-expulsion as the Bount sees fit, creating bladed rings of blood, thin manipulable wires, and more. Every post that these expulsions of blood are maintained cost 1/4 the reiatsu cost of utilizing a technique of the same Class (i.e. a Class 1 expulsion would cost 800 Reiatsu to create, and 200 per post to maintain).
How to Use: Release blood from the body, and optionally charge it with reiatsu.
Drawbacks: The range on these attacks are quite limited for strength-inclined fighters. For Reiatsu-focused fighters, this technique can be quite costly to use at high classes too often, and can prove taxing to one's reiatsu pool because of it. Due to the focus required in order to weaponize the body, and the strain put on releasing that much blood at once, releasing even one doll while using the physical variant of this technique is dangerous; utilization will result in the Doll turning against its user for three posts, taking advantage of that strain in an attempt to harm their user (said strain remains minuscule to the user in regards to an opponent taking advantage of this technique, however).

The sensation of the blade on her finger extending outwards was something completely different, a feeling that didn’t match anything a normal human would ever experience. The closest sensation Madleyn could compare would be stretching out an arm or leg and gaining that strange feeling of relief. Recognizing this feeling though was something weird, Madelyn felt more awake, more aware as if she had just woken up from sleeping a full day. She didn’t feel anything other than excitement, anything other than invigorated. The sorrow that clung to her heart was gone, replaced with a burning core of violence.
The twisted open smile didn’t disappear nor did it diminish, Madelyn would appear completely different now compared to how she did before. This lady had killed the man and while Madelyn was sad about it only a moment ago she couldn’t care less now. He was dead, he was weak so why should she waste her energy caring about him. She didn’t know him. Casting aside those weak feelings as easily as tossing away a receipt. For the first time Madelyn felt good after she died and she wasn’t going to let this feeling go away. She wasn’t going to let the cold come back, she liked this.
The nail that she sent outwards moved so fast, so fast she didn’t even see it yet this lady kept herself from harm. Madelyn moved forward the mail retracting back in a moment. Madelyn didn’t know why but for some reason this lady just needed to feel pain. Maybe it was because she killed that man, but the man didn’t matter so why? Madelyn really didn’t know and the joy she was feeling kept her from really thinking any deeper. Swinging her left arm across Madelyn attempted to cut this lady across her chest yet once again she stepped backwards.
Although everything had just started it had turned into what felt like a game of tag. Madelyn had to try and catch this lady yet she was moving backwards just fast enough that Madelyn couldn’t reach her. Right after her left arm moved towards her right side after being dodged, the arm of the lady came down. Madelyn reacting off instinct holds her left arm across in front of her then slashes out with the blade attached to her arm. The clash between the two sharp edges was immediate, lasting for only a moment yet loud enough that it felt almost overdone.
Madelyn holding her ground against the force of the blood slash wouldn’t even realize until after the blood of the attack broke apart only to dissipate, that she’d been sliding backwards. While the attack hadn’t been able to cause Madelyn any major harm she did notice something now looking down. The forearm blade was cracked and chipped. The attack she’d just stopped had been strong enough to cause extensive damage to her beautiful blade. The pure rage that she’d felt only a few moments ago hadn’t subsided at all. Madleyn was just preoccupied with the sensation of joy which now was pushed to the back.
“How dare you! Stupid Whore!”
Rushing at the lady once again Madelyn starts to swing her arm in what appears to be random strokes fueled by her rage. It’d seem like a child swinging a stick, but the moment she got what looked like the right chance Madelyn would act. The distance between them now likely staying around five feet. Madelyn would swing a few times while rushing forward in a headlong charge against this enemy. Then in the middle of a swing would extend her middle finger moving at the same speed of 300 once again in an attempt to pierce through the chest of her first hated individual.

As Talia launched out her counterattack against the girl in front of her, she found herself smirking rather notably as distance was being put between the two of them. She was surprised to see the woman skidding backward as her attack continued to spin itself back toward her. She was glad to see that, at the very least. She certainly needed the distance.
Continuing to maneuver backward and keeping the pace away from Madelyn, Talia continued to try to pick apart her foe. She wasn't quite sure just how she was going to win this fight, but every second that passed continued to fill her with the idea that she'd need to get back to civilization. She couldn't've been too far off all things considered, and she did know damned well that once she had the opportunity to have her fill of humans? She'd be all right.
Though, with Madelyn's shouting of expletives, and her sprinting toward Talia, she continued to do what she could in order to keep the distance between the two of them as large as she could. "Bite your tongue, whelp," she shouted back in the process of her escape. Given they were moving at about the same speed? Little change was going to be made between the two of them until Talia hit a wall, or Madelyn stopped moving. Thankfully, she'd have a bit of time before the street ended, but she still needed to act decisively.
Though, it seemed that Madelyn was going to be the first to take the opportunity to act. As another one of this woman's bladed nails fired off, Talia had found herself almost caught off-guard from the strike. Unfortunately for her though, while she'd been fast enough to begin her movements away from the strikes, she wasn't fast enough to completely dodge the incoming strike.
"Ngh!" She sounded as the blade pierced through her shoulder. Utilizing the arm that didn't get pierced by the Rogue's natural weapon, Talia prepared another attack against the woman; this time, a close-ranged strike in an attempt to break her weapon. Launching another wave of bladed blood through the nail that currently outstretched from Madelyn's hand, Talia made her attack. Given her raw physical might had surpassed the defensive capabilities of the woman's weapon at this point, she was confident she'd be able to break it.
Continuing to maneuver backward, very occasionally looking back behind her to make sure she wasn't going to run into something, Talia began to huff. Moving at her full speed, and taking a rather awful injury like the one she'd just received had certainly frustrated her, but it wasn't enough to put her down at the moment. Maddie was going to need a bit more firepower to take her out with such ease, that was for sure. The question was though; could Talia lash back with enough to take the Rogue down first? She didn't know, though knew that she'd need to find out soon.

“Bite your tongue, whelp.”
“Huheha the silver hair whore does get mad. All the rams must love hearing the little bit of emotion coming from the pretty sheep. Won’t be pretty much longer though!”
Madelyn’s manner of speaking had changed completely, it wasn’t something she would say nor something anyone would really say unprovoked. All while swinging her left arm across one time after another her attacks random and telegraphed. Madelyn was in a state of intense pleasure granted to her by the power that currently courses throughout her body, the power couldn’t control her movements though and thus the attacks were being employed by a teenager with no experience in actual combat.
Madelyn at the moment was comparable to a young child whipping around a sharp sword, making her predictable and basic although incredibly dangerous. Despite the lack of training that she possessed and the complete vacancy of knowledge towards combat she still possessed the blade attached to her arm. Even a grown soldier could be hit by a small child with a stick without paying close attention. A single slip up would be all it took for Madelyn to be successful in separating this sheep’s head from her body. The major issue right now though was the fact Madelyn still couldn’t catch her!
Thankfully the little trick that she had thought up was her first mark of success. The nail blade extending outwards Madelyn watched as her nail pierced into the flesh of this lady’s shoulder. The sensation of its resistance against her nail was something that felt almost exciting. Although she couldn’t see the blood of her prey escape from the puncture hole she could see her clothing dampen giving her an even greater sense of glee. For some reason she couldn’t fathom nor ponder; she just felt an overwhelming influx of enthusiasm towards violence. “The Sheep’s been tested. Time for it to be served!” Madelyn screams as she pushes forward in an attempt to shove her nail straight through the shoulder of her foe out the back of her body.
In the moment that followed she watched this prey move her hand down once again sending off another crescent of her blood as an attack. This one though wasn’t directed right at her body. This one was sent downwards right at the nail that was inside her shoulder. Madelyn even if she wanted to couldn’t retract the nail fast enough to save it. She didn’t have the skill nor control over herself at the moment to be successful, what she did have though was her willingness to plunge headfirst. The nail of her middle finger scatters like glass into dozens of black pieces now though Madelyn attempts to close the distance of little more than five feet.
Although her right side looks no different than originally, she reaches outwards attempting to grab her prey by its throat and squeeze. Madelyn may not be the strongest of girls especially compared to the one currently fighting her, by the windpipe has no muscle laying once grabbed even someone of immense build normally has a problem. If successful Madelyn will squeeze with all her strength on the front of Talia’s throat then in the moment raise her left arm upwards in an attempt to slash from the right hip up to the left shoulder of her prey. She’d have to move quickly in order to dodge with the blade attached to her arm functioning much like a short sword with its length over two feet from Madelyn’s wrist.

It seemed that retreating wasn't going to be the plan, here. Given her shoulder had actually just exploded, it seemed that continuing to make her way back wasn't going to be the most sound of ideas. Frankly? That was okay. While sure, Talia was in immense pain after the damage dealt to her body, she knew full-well that this meant she didn't have the strength to get away. As such? She'd stand her ground. Right here, right now.
Planting her feet in the ground as Madelyn made her approach at normal human speeds, Talia pulled an arm back behind her. She was somewhat prepared for what this woman was going for; only time would tell if that was going to pay off. She certainly didn't have the energy to keep going on - the wound in her arm made sure of that - and she was losing blood at a rather rapid pace. If she didn't make a final stand at that very moment? She could've very well killed herself just trying to get away.
Talia was no coward.
Taking a deep breath as Madelyn closed the distance, Talia did the opposite of what any sane individual would do and ran directly toward the woman. She wasn't going to let herself fall here; that much, at the very least, was certain. She just had to hope that Madelyn wasn't going for an immediately violent maneuver, and she'd be all right. And, as it turned out? That seemed to be her idea, as her hands quickly closed around Talia's own neck. She knew there was no point in trying to fight the grip. It would've just been wasted time, when she already had very little to begin with.
The moment a hand closed around her neck, Talia immediately used her injured arm to grab the woman's wrist, and sought to crush the bones in her hand. She didn't know if she was strong enough to do so, but she knew damned well that she was going to try. If nothing else? She still wasn't going to let go; Madelyn had made the call to engage, and such was the woman's choice. She was not going to get away from that point out.
Simultaneously with her hand movements, Talia pointed her fingers into a spearlike shape, and proceeded to utilize her full strength - and the aid of sharpened blood claws - to pierce through the woman's abdomen as far as she could. If all went well, she sought to aim all the way through her side. After all, as the blade came down toward her left hip, Talia had positioned herself in such a way to block Madelyn's own hand with her forearm and shoulder. She'd still be taking a nasty hit as the weapon dug into her hip, and caused the vampire to shout out in pain, but it wasn't going to be immediately lethal.
"Ngh," she gritted her teeth, and putting forth the effort to pull Madelyn's own grip from her throat, while still holding onto the Rogue's hand with as much of a crushing grip as her strength would physically allow, and glaring into the Rogue's eyes with raw, unfiltered rage. To say that Talia was angry at this point was an understatement. Her outfit had been covered in blood, her shoulder had been severely wounded, and now her hip had been split open pretty badly. She was not going to forgive this woman if she could help it.

Closing in on her foe Madleyn watched as the shift of this lady changed and just like that she began to rush in on her attack. A definite switch compared to everything that she’d seen so far with this one constantly hopping backwards like a cowardly rabbit. Pushing forward through the change though Madelyn felt her right hand enclose around the throat and then begin to squeeze as much as she can while moving her left hand upwards at the hip to finish this right away.
Immediately though with the movement of her left arm heading for her foe she felt the snap of her bones. Her right wrist snapped by the animalistic strength that seemed insurmountable at the moment. This woman possessed the strength of a large animal that could maul her to death so breaking free wouldn’t be an option. In the moment of time that passed everything would occur between the two entities of rage and spite. Talia’s fingers manage to push through Madelyn’s reinforced flesh directly into her stomach. Deep enough that she could wiggle her fingers around into the flesh of Madelyn.
Madelyn’s forearm blade rising up through the flesh on Talia’s right hip cleaving through her body up to the point she was nearly halfway through her foe. Both of them inflicting and sustaining potentially lethal blows on one another at virtually the same moment. A moment that if anyone were watching would be treated as the game deciding decision. A moment to be reviewed and rewatched hundreds of times. It was only now that Madelyn felt the pain of everything coming towards her. The need to scream was taken from her by the sudden cough of blood.
Blood coughing right from her mouth out into the face of Talia who’d been making it a point to stare down Madelyn. The moment afterwards Madelyn couldn’t do anything other than laugh witnessing her blood on the face of this escort. “Looks nice on you, that face needed a splash of more color. So what’s it going to be whore? Going to run along to find another man or stay here with me?” Madelyn would try to move her arm further up only wiggling the blade slightly further but extending her fingers out. The moment she felt Talia wiggle her fingers or try to push further in she’d extend all her remaining nails out to pierce through her abdomen

The two had paused, almost frozen in time. Neither one was fully prepared to kill the other, and it seemed that neither truly had the opportunity to do so while also walking away with their own lives intact. Simply put, the two had fought each other to one hell of a stalemate, and it was rather apparent. Tali didn't want to admit it, but there wasn't really a choice in the matter.
As Madelyn spat blood in her face, and made her rather nasty comment, Talia huffed. "Quit your provocations," she spoke, still holding tight to Madelyn's broken wrist, "neither of us are going to be able to walk out of her alive without standing down. I, for one, am prepared to walk away." She sighed softly. "I've financials that I need to sort out regardless."
Taking a moment to look around in her injured state, Talia wanted to make sure that there were no other individuals around. Last thing she wanted was for someone to see their scuffle, and immediately be alerted. She was looking to keep a low profile, after all, and such would only work to jeopardize that. It wasn't worth any kind of risk that might've come to her should she have stood out in the open for too long.
"I, for one, respect your ability to hold me to a draw like this." She stared back at the Rogue, unchanging of her expression, "not a lot of folks have come close to doing so. If you don't mind my asking before I depart, what is your name?" If nothing else, she was willing to remember this woman's name. Well, should she share it, that was. If she didn't, it was no skin off Talia's back.
If nothing else, she was fully-prepared to strike back should Madelyn look to make an attack against her. If she was to lose her own life thanks to this woman, she was more than glad to take Madelyn's as well. But, in truth? She didn't exactly want it to come to that. While hunting this woman would've been nice - and, surely she was going to look for her again - she had more important priorities on her plate. Living was more important.

It seemed the fun was going to be dying down now, matching her own fate based on what she could see. The remarks and actions that Madelyn made against Talia didn’t stir her foe this time though. Something that although she couldn’t understand why, it disappointed Madelyn. This had been something new, something exciting, but now that feeling was fading. The way she spoke it seemed like she was done, which meant all the fun was over and she’d go back to . . .
The sensation of emptiness seeps back into Madelyn’s heart. A sensation that now seems infinitely vaster than even a couple minutes ago when she was on the verge of crumbling emotionally. The forearm blade on her left would shrink returning back to her actual forearm. Unsheathing itself from the flesh of Talia while Madelyn grabs her wrist and pulls, doing her best to remove the appendage inside her gullet. She could hear the voice of Talia yet the words that she was speaking didn’t seem to reach Madelyn’s consciousness. The Bakkoto that altered her body turning it into a weapon wasn’t satiated yet, not by this level of violence.
Madelyn could feel the rage and pleasure that had been prevalent throughout her surging once again yet then just like that both feelings would immediately fizzle out like a flickering flame. Although everything was new to her, and this particularly was beyond her understanding Madelyn could simply no longer engage in violence. Her body was weak and although the Bakkoto had changed it to be suited for such depravity it was no God. Even the greatest of sculptures can only do so much with weak material. Madelyn was coming down from the high that had been pumped into her soul when she heard the question.
“What is your name?”
“Furinji.” The manner in which she spoke was one of vile as if she were speaking to someone with the utmost amount of poison leaving her lips. There would be no mistaking this nor interpreting it differently, it’d be clear Madelyn didn’t want this to end. The violence was the first thing that gave her pleasure since dying and now although it had been brief and wonderful, she couldn’t keep that feeling going. Reason was setting back into her mind now though along with the real pain of her injuries. “I need to get to Dr. Bright.” Madelyn realized within her thoughts that such wounds were lethal, the only one she knew that could possibly save her would be the good doctor.
Stepping backwards only to then turn and begin walking away Madelyn brings her right hand up and over onto the hole in her stomach. Although she couldn’t stop the bleeding with a single hand she could try and slow it down while keeping her organs inside her body. She didn’t know why she wasn’t on the ground or screaming around in pain right now, but could feel the fear of uncertainty in her soul. She didn’t know if it was instinctual fear or not, but she felt it. “Next time it won’t be a draw!” Shouting back while the two of them depart from the small scale of violence that had been unleashed onto one another. “Is it possible to die when I’m already dead?”
