Tilting her left ear back, Momo paused while walking as she waited quietly. Was there something behind her? Someone following her? Crouching low to the ground and hiding behind a small hill, Momo expanded her senses as best she could. And to her dismay, nothing came up. Hadn’t she heard something? Or was it just her nerves? It had been a long week, and the past few days were weighing heavy on her.
She wasn’t sure if it was something in the water or something else, but quite a few demons were growing stronger. Sure she was part of that number, but others were growing quite fast. And that made her living situation all the more dangerous. No good souls resided in hell, and you could be killed on a whim. With all this strangeness happening, the killings were becoming more frequent. And since Momo didn’t particularly want to be killed, she kept her head to the ground. Better safe than sorry.
Staying on all fours, Momo kept the rock directly behind her as she quickly continued on her journey. Now that she was slightly suspicious, she walked differently, quieter. Stealth was nothing new to her, and the shadows were her home. And in Hell, there were quite a few to lurk in. Breathing quietly and ignoring the rough terrain that was causing her feet to sting, she continued her journey. No place was ever truly safe in Hell, so staying on the move was usually the best thing to do.
Digging her claws slighting into the dark gray terrain, a small grimace flittered upon her face. Hopefully it wouldn’t take too long before she was able to make it to better pastures. Sure there were no picturesque environments in Hell, but there were some that were more bearable than others. Momo didn’t particularly like the whole lava flowing between the cracks vibe that was currently going on, so she wanted to make it somewhere slightly more bearable.
She wasn’t really afraid of the lava, no. She wasn’t afraid of the environment to begin with. It was the heat that was getting to her. The all oppressive constant heat below her feet and filling up the air. It was humid and she hated being in temperatures like this. Too hot and too much all at the same time. An unholy experience that she went through all too frequently. It was why she liked Las Noches better. It was actually quite cool there, almost the complete opposite of the place she was in now.
