Circumstances: Ailene and Mélusine are leaving the Regina after closing it up when Alacran spots her with the dragon and decides that this marks Ailene as a special type of human and attacks her. Shenanigans follow.

[Alacrán]

Alacrán was once again in the human world, out and searching for a strong human to fight once more, not wanting to risk being banished by Shinigami. Although this raises the chance of him running into Quincy who can just outright destroy him with their arrows he wasn't too worried as he was fairly confident that his special venom would keep them at bay. So he soars over the skies of Karakura Town in search of an opponent to test himself against as well as to gain further battle experience.

He figured since he wasn't very good at sensing spiritual energy he'd have a difficult time tracking down a human who would be strong enough for him to challenge. At least this was what he thought when a very peculiar sight caught his eye, that being a girl with a strange creature resting lazily on her shoulders. he couldn't tell what it was from his position in the air so he glided down silently to get a better look, landing on a nearby building as carefully as he could. Being this close now he could much more clearly see that the creature was some kind of small dragon although he never really imagined he'd see one in person before that wasn't a hollow.

Alacrán decided to follow this girl, figuring that she must be strong in some form or manner to have such a creature with her, even with it as small as it was. He couldn't exactly tell whether they had spiritual energy but he figured he'd find out soon enough as he continued to stalk them from the rooftops. He decided he will go ahead and try to poison her with his venom in case she was stronger than she appeared. So he waits until the girl is in on a more empty street where he then leaps into an Ulcera, flying straight for her.

He emerges with his wings spread to their full length and tail primed to stab her in the back. It was honestly a terrifying sight for sure and Ailene would have been in much more danger than she already was if his stinger had managed to pierce her. Instead she just find herself being struck by Alacrán's stinger as he flew out of the Ulcera. Alacrán himself would be surprised to find that not only was he not able to pierce and poison her but that his tail was now covered in small lacerations.

Unfortunately, this doesn't stop Alacrán from continuing to fly past her, despite his nerves now being in severe pain, and maybe even send her off her feet from the strike. He sails and pulls up into the air, stopping and hovering a few feet in the air, as he stares down at her with a glare, "Seems aye chose rightly in pickin' ya as muh dummy for duh day. Yer lucky girl, muh venom could prolly kill ya had dat actually pierced ya. Aye assume ye'll survive dis too." Without warning, he begins to charge a red orb and fire the Cero down at the girl, not really aiming to hit but more so doing so to determine how quick she was.

Another day had been conquered. The Fullbringer danced along the floor with a mop in hand. She expertly swept the floor with graceful movements. She lightly hummed a tune to herself as she aimed to rid Rēgīna of any lingering filth from the dozens upon dozens of patrons who flowed in and out of the Tea House. After regaining her humanity, Ailene had begun operating her Tea House nearly full-time. There was little else to do after all. She still occasionally attended the local University to brush up on topics of interest. Archeology and Human Anatomy to name a few. Unfortunately, even that took a backseat in favor of the Tea House.

Despite that, Ailene had turned Rēgīna from a small Tea House that only a handful of people knew to the talk of the town. It warmed Ailene's heart. Not only was Rēgīna her pride and joy, but it proved one more thing to her. The sacrifice of her life as an Arrancar was not in vain. She had traded an eternity of violence and hate for this. Developing a large smile, she continued to sweep the floor for a few more minutes. Her movements may have appeared unnecessary, and in truth they largely were. However, they made the mundane task of cleaning more interesting. Adding soft humming made it feel like a dance. As her movements came to a close, the woman gently leaned the mop against the counter.

She had her closing checklist down like clockwork. She took a seat atop one of the stools and stretched. After letting out a soft groan she began to idly tap her fingers on the counter. Even amidst the soft tapping, Ailene could hear the soft rustling of movement. She chuckled softly as the it gradually picked up. Emerging from the counter, the darkened form leapt up unto the counter. Dreary wings covered its blackened form as it settled atop the counter, lowering its wings and laying down. It was none other than Mélusine, Ailene newfound spiritual companion. The woman smiled brightly as the dragon awoke from her slumber. In return, Mélusine merely kept her purple iris trained on Ailene and gave a brief yawn.

Ailene continued to tap the countertop before speaking. "Had a relaxing nap I hope?" The dragon groaned softly in response. "Tch. I did once I was actually able to fall asleep." There was a clear resentment in her voice. "It's so uncomfortable down there..." The Fullbringer simply rolled her eyes as she shook her head. "Well, it's your fault for choosing to sleep there Mélusine." The Fractured Spirits' immediate reaction came out as a snarl. "Well, it's your fault for having us live in this place." She quickly retorted. "Why can't we just live somewhere else?" The back and forth continued. "Simple. Housing is really expensive! It's crazy how much they charge here." Mélusine gently flicked her tail on the countertop. The dragon's voice would proceed to grow incredibly snarky. "A problem we never faced among the Espada. If we wanted something, we could just take it." 

The Fullbringer already had an idea as to where this was headed. Mélusine would try to make another attempt at having them embrace their past. Ailene simply shook her head. "Let me stop you while you're ahead. I don't know if you've noticed, but there are rules. We can't just take a place through conquest!" As much as Mélusine wanted to argue, she knew it would be pointless. Ailene and she lived in different worlds. The woman aimed to leave her past behind her. To live a life in the Human World and forget she was ever an Arrancar to begin with. Mélusine, meanwhile, was all of Ailene hollow instincts made manifest. Formerly the soul of their Resurrecciòn, she desired the olden days. She wanted nothing more than to go to the Menos Forest and simply kill everything in sight. It was in her nature. She may have been bound to Ailene, but she saw herself as a Hollow through and through.

"Well. How about this? That girl you hired recently... Yui." Ailene raised an eyebrow as the draconian spirit brought up the rogue Shinigami. "You two seem pretty close already. Why not look for a place with her? Split the costs." The woman briefly tapped her own cheek and blinked. "Huh. That's... actually a really great idea..." Ailene was shocked that she had never considered it. Mélusine smirked and rose. "In fact, why don't we go stake out the nearby neighborhoods? Maybe look for a place we can look into later." The Head Barista paused and blinked. "I mean... it's late, but I guess we could..." Ailene looked around Rēgīna. She had nothing left to do here. There was only one concern on her mind. "Just the last few times we've been attacked by Hollows without fail..." The dragon smirked for a moment and grinned. "It'll be fine. String of bad luck. I have a good feeling about today~" For once, the dragon would smile. "Trust me?" The woman pondered it for a moment and sighed in resignment. "Let me go get ready..."

Changing into a more comfortable set of clothes and locking up Rēgīna, Ailene and Mélusine walked through the streets of Karakura. More accurately, Ailene was walking. Mélusine had chosen her usual spot. Her slender form laid along Ailene's shoulder as her tail curled down past the Fullbringers' collarbone. The streets were largely empty due to the time of day, so they didn't have to worry about being seen.  They had been walking for a few minutes now as they perused the various houses and apartments in the neighborhood. Only some of them actually had for rent signs. Ailene briefly wrote the contact and address down to look for more information online in the coming days.

So, they'd move from place to place while having a look for a potential score. The night was young, and the town was silent. Despite the conditions, Ailene had the nagging sensation of being watched. Whenever she turned her head, her eyes skimming the surroundings, there was nothing. Still the feeling persisted. She had felt this before with Yui. Raising her hand, the Fullbringer gently rustled the dragon who rested on her shoulder. She spoke softly, "Mélusine, I think something may be following us again..." The dragon's head rose and looked around. Just like Ailene, the dragon would discover nothing but the cover of darkness. Mélusine briefly shook her head. "Well. I don't see any-"

The pair would be interrupted as the stalker finally made his move. A large, imposing shadow was suddenly cast onto the ground, overshadowing the Fullbringers' form. Suddenly, Ailene felt something trying to dig into her back. Pointed and sharp, it threatened to pierce her flesh. Fortunately, this "dagger" would press against her flesh with little effect. Unfortunately, there was also some force behind the attack though. Ailene felt herself lurch forward, hitting the ground hard. Mélusine held on tightly to the Fullbringers' form as Ailene gritted her teeth. No skin had been broken, but it was sure going to leave a nasty bruise. The creature suddenly zipped past the pair and rose back into the air. 

Ailene rose to her knees and looked up as she and Mélusine looked up at their assailant. Before them, fluttering a few feet above the ground, was what could only be described as an insect. A set of four wings buzzed incessantly, several sharpened legs and a long slender tail tipped with an imposing stinger adorned its body, and a mask with horned edges decorated its face. This was undoubtedly a Hollow. "Great. Just my goddamn luck!" She groaned in annoyance. Mélusine, meanwhile, snarled at the Hollow. Her eyes shifted over it predatorily. Finally, a smirk formed. It had been so long since she had tasted a Hollow. "We shall dine well tonight!" Mélusine already began focusing her reiryoku upon own form.

Towering above the pair, glaring down at them, the Hollow suddenly began to speak. "Seems aye chose rightly in pickin' ya as muh dummy for duh day. Yer lucky girl, muh venom could prolly kill ya had dat actually pierced ya. Aye assume ye'll survive dis too." Ailene blinked. "Venom? Ugh.." She was quickly torn from her thoughts, however, as she sensed a surge reiryoku within the Hollow. A familiar red orb suddenly formed before the Hollow. Both of their minds' immediately came to the same conclusion. "A Cero?!" The initial blow earlier made her body still sore. It was hard to move! She had to face it head on! Focusing upon the ground, Ailene began to use Soul Command. The woman began to command the electricity that ran through currents that were lodged within the ground. Rising up into her body, the electricity slowly began to level out. 

As the Cero leapt towards Ailene, Mélusine leapt off Ailene at a speed of 810 atop one the nearby rooftops. There she continued to focus her reiryoku to modulate her size. In the meantime, Ailene would unleash the powerful static force that now rested within her. From her hands, Ailene would suddenly unleash the elemental power of lightning. Streaks of crackling blue bolts leapt from her hands and intercepted the Cero that had been fired at her. Converging and twisting, the two opposing forces would meet and tear each other asunder. The lightning storm that had arisen from the Fullbringer came to an end as Ailene brought herself to her feet. 

Mélusine, still sitting atop the roof, began to shift. Possessing the uncanny ability to shift her own size, she'd do so now. Her tail began to lengthen, her wings expanded, her maw filled with razor sharp teeth grew larger. Within a few moments, the once 2 ft long baby dragon had now grown to a length nearly 8 ft. Spreading her wings, Mélusine cast an imposing shadow. Opening her maw, she let out an equally fearsome roar. Nearby windows shook and animals quivered from the reverberating force of the roar. She glared down at Alacrán, a sadistic and toothy smirk forming. "Mark these words well, Hollow. I will feast on your heart tonight!" Mélusine focused on the ground behind Alacrán. Tugging on concrete with impressive force, the Spirit molded its shape. A nearly 5 ft long stalagmite rose from the ground, leaping through the air and threatening to effectively pierce and skewer the bug Hollow. Ailene only watched in awe as Mélusine showed such an impressive display at command the souls of base elements. She also knew that Mélusine would go to unimaginable lengths to strike this Hollow down. It was simply in her nature.

Technique Description and Effects: This is a soul command technique that enables a Fullbringer to channel one of the most deadly elements to be an extension of themselves. The Fullbringer has to concentrate for a brief moment in order to command the souls of the hundreds of electrical currents that constantly flow throughout the ground. It only takes a moment to command them and once that is done the Fullbringer is able to move the electricity up from their feet and into the rest of their body. It's at this point that the Fullbringer is able to either channel the electricity as lightning into their hands or a conductible weapon. The electricity shocks whatever it touches with an offensive strength equal to the Reiatsu Strength of the Fullbringer. This technique lasts a total of 2 posts until it's Mastered which lengthens its use to 4 posts.

How to use technique: The Fullbringer simply must concentrate on the electricity that is coursing throughout the ground and command it up throughout their body and then from them.

Technique Drawbacks: The major drawback of this technique is simply that the user is unable to leave the ground. If either of the user's feet leave the ground this technique automatically ends. This means that in order to move while this technique is active the user must drag their feet. This leaves them open to attacks that effect the ground or come from below. Costs 250 Reiatsu.

Technique Description and Effects:

This is a movement technique. It's to keep up with things like Shunpo or Sonido. While all races using this have their own variant of a step technique already, this one is pretty much an in-general type of move. It attunes the physical body to the reiatsu in the air, rather than spiritual to spiritual. It is now physical to spiritual. This allows the user to step at 3x speed for the cost of only 25 Reiatsu. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: Focus the body’s energy and release during a step. This technique can be broken off in the middle of its use. Unlike other step techniques, this one can be repeated while in the middle of the previous one, allowing someone to change their movement course in mid movement.

This technique costs three times the amount of reiatsu as the basic racial ability does, as a result, it can actually achieve combat useful manipulations. This technique can be used to manipulate raw elements up to the size of the user. It still cannot manipulate release weapons, and cannot manipulate the personal effects of an opponent such as clothing if there is not Reiatsu Strength Superiority.

[Alacrán]

Alacrán didn't pay the dragon any immediate attention as he watched the woman send forth a current of lightning that collided and held the Cero in place as the blue streaks of crackling energy sparked around the destructive red blast that Alacrán had unleashed before they both ended after having tore through each other but neither having reached their intended target. Alacrán was fairly impressed to say the least even though he knew his Cero weren't the strongest around they still had quite a bit of power to them which meant this woman was strong enough to rival and challenge him in terms of spiritual ability.

His attention is brought away from the woman however when he finally notices the dragon that was much larger and louder now. "Mark these words well, Hollow. I will feast on your heart tonight!" Apparently she fancied herself as something that could take on Alacrán as she made this declaration and then sent a concrete stalagmite flying towards the giant bug Hollow who was none the wiser to the attack. He also didn't really have to worry about the sneaky strike as the concrete smashed into his thick, armored body and crumbled away to reveal that while it had barely managed to causes some cracks to appear in the armor, even with as weakened as Alacrán was at the moment.

He glances down at the crumbled stone below him and then up at the dragon with a malicious grin, "Aye think ya should be more concerned 'bout yer master, beast." He then darts through the air towards her as quickly as he could only to disappear into an Ulcera before he had even made it halfway to her. He appears not a second later beside her and throws one of his bladed forelimbs at her with his full strength in an attempted back swing, aiming to send the cocky dragon spiraling down towards where Ailene stood. Even if the dragon had been able to predict where Alacrán would appear, he'd still be going through with the strike.

Depending on where this put the duo would determine how Alacrán would go about his next move. Should he have successfully sent Mélusine spiraling towards Ailene then he'd begin to laugh and as he glances down at the two and then tilt his head, "Aye must admit, aye'm quite curious as ta what exa'tly ya are. An' what is dat dragon hm? Yer familiar per'aps?" He'd laugh again and shake his head, "Aye've been on uh bit o' losin' streak lately alt'ough aye've think aye've learned from muh losses. Guess aye'll find out here an' now. Uh piece o' advice though: if aye were duh two o' ya aye'd be taking dis fight very seriously."

He'd then begin to charge his spiritual energy, which Ailene would most likely pick up on before he suddenly stops and then forms a red orb between his mandibles, although this one was much smaller than the Cero from earlier as it was a Bala, which he then fired down at the duo followed by three more orbs of the same size. He wasn't really aiming at their person but more so in their direction, looking to distract them so he could send himself flying down towards them, disappearing into an Ulcera once more and reemerging on the ground behind Ailene where he'd then swing his limb in an upward striking motion, attempting to slash her across the back. This time he wouldn't experience the same backlash he'd been meet with earlier and Ailene would find herself experiencing the pain of being slashed in such a manner.

However, should the dragon have managed to avoid the initial strike, then like stated before, Alacrán would still go through with the swing, destroying the portion of the roof where Mélusine had just been. He then turned to glare at the dragon before grinning, "Aye warned ya." He then turns to dart towards where Ailene was, disappearing into another Ulcera and emerging next to Ailene with a red orb forming between his mandibles that he fires on her as soon as she realizes he's there.

Mélusine commanded the very earth to rend itself apart and launch itself at Alacrán. The Fullbringer watched in awe as the stalagmite tore itself from the ground. It was nearly as large as Ailene herself. Launching at Alacrán with impressive speed, Mélusine simply grinned. The sharpened rock was large enough to easily tear through the insect before them! The dragon stood proudly perched atop the roof, her form looking quite imposing when drenched in moonlight. Alacrán wouldn't really have time to move as the rock raced into his backside. As it did, however, shock touched Ailene's features. "The hell? Did it really just..."

She wouldn't have believed it if she hadn't seen it with her own eyes. The large protrusion collided with the Hollow and simply crumbled. The Hollow didn't even flinch in response. Where Ailene stood in shock, Mélusine growled softly. "Nothing?! Tch. I guess that carapace is for more than just show..." The black dragon stared at Alacrán with contempt. This contempt only grew as the Hollow spoke. "Aye think ya should be more concerned 'bout yer master, beast." The dragon raised her head just a tad bit more. The soft growl from before now became a loud snarl. Suffice to say, she didn't take too kindly to being referred to as a mere beast nor the implication that she served Ailene. 

With little warning, though, raced towards Mélusine. It was... nothing impressive. Both parties could easily track him as she buzzed through the air. About halfway through the charge, the Hollow descended into the Valley of Screams, disappearing from sight. Thankfully, Ailene and Mélusine recognized it for what it was. Being former Arrancar, they understood that Hollows could easily move beyond the veil and reappear as though it were teleportation. Mélusine concentrated reiatsu within herself for a moment. Given his path before entering the Ulcera, the dragon assumed that she was about to be attacked by the Hollow.

As Alacrán emerged from the Ulcera, prepared slam the dragon to his side, Mélusine suddenly allowed it to flow as it tugged on the roof tiling beneath her. Effectively catapulting herself, it would leave a brief column of light that flickered even as the Hollow tore into the building she was standing on. This ability, known as Bringer Light, was far faster than anything that Alacrán had mustered thus far. As she accelerated to a speed of 2700, landing on a rooftop across the street. The tiles shattered as she slid to a stop. She turned her head to stare at the Hollow. Rearing back for a moment, Mélusine let out yet another mighty and fierce roar. Just like before, it shook the environment for a moment. 

Ailene scoffed as Alacrán smashed the roofing to bits. Thankfully it was one of the houses for rent, so it stood to reason that nobody had been injured. Unfortunately, it would likely be off the market again for repairs. "Tch. Damn!" The Hollow turned toward the pairing and, with a glare, gave a rather ominous remark. "Aye warned ya." Turning to Ailene, the Hollow went into yet another flight before disappearing into an Ulcera. This was now the third time that the Hollow had done so. It clearly seemed to favor sneak attacks. The initial strike to kick this battle of theirs off had been from behind. Just now when he had used Ulcera, he appeared to Mélusine's side. Now he popped into an Ulcera again? It was only sound to assume that this would be no different.

As Alacrán emerged from the Ulcera once more, he had decided to charge a Cero. This only served as another for Ailene to deduce where the Hollow was. Not only was there a familiar hum, but Ailene could sense the flaring of Hollow reiryoku right beside her. Attuning to the reiatsu in the air, Ailene made her move. Just before the Cero was fired, Ailene utilized Movement to accelerate to a speed of 810. Despite her timing, Ailene wouldn't elude the searing reiatsu unscathed. It brushed against the side of her body, searing it painfully. She gritted her teeth in an effort to fight the pain that flooded her body for a moment. Regardless, she'd follow through with her maneuver. 

Using her enhanced speed, she'd position herself to Alacrán backside herself. At this point, she'd allow her reiryoku to surge through her right arm. Upon settling, Ailene would strike at Alacrán's back at a speed of 270. Ailene's physical prowess was nothing spectacular. She didn't possess nearly as much physical strength as this Hollow before her, but this technique would give her a bit of an edge. Combat Cutback. Weaponizing her vast spiritual energy, Ailene's punch would be reinforced. The seemingly inconspicuous punch now had a force of 438. Regardless of whether it landed or not though, Ailene would use another instance of Movement to try and quickly leave the melee range she found herself in while allowing the energy that flowed through har arm to fade.

Accelerating to a speed of 810 once more, Ailene aimed to take her place next to Mélusine. Looking at the Fullbringer, Mélusine noticed Ailene hold her side, wincing softly. It was clear that it took much of her will to keep herself steady from the pain of the Cero. The dragon snarled briefly and spoke, "Ailene! It's time to take this seriously!" Ailene looked at Mélusine and blinked for a moment. Looking into her eye, the Fullbringer took her meaning. The woman placed her hand upon Mélusine's head. Both of them began to focus their reiryoku. Just as before, being two sides of the same coin, it would not be very difficult to attune to the other. After a brief moment, a pillar of reiatsu emerged from Mélusine. The dark indigo purple energy cascaded as Mélusine's physical form slowly burned away. Both of their spirits would merge as an intricate dagger formed in Ailene's hand.

The flaring of reiatsu would soon come to an end, leaving the Fullbringer by her lonesome. She sighed briefly. If Alacrán still buzzed with the streets, Ailene looked down at him. She held the S shaped dagger in front of her chest. The eyelike jewel which rested in its center almost seemed to peer at Alacrán as well. Ailene began to hear a voice. Er... voices. Despite seemingly having no harmony, the Fullbringer could make it out clearly. "This Hollow chose the wrong pair to fuck with. Go on Ailene. Let's show him the wrath of the former Septima Espada." Mélusine held onto that belief with conviction. Now that they were merged, the Fullbringer could feel it quite clearly. Not only that, but there was a resentment for Alacrán. Ailene, unfortunately, couldn't quite put her finger on why that could be. For now, however, she'd continue to stare at Alacrán. Would the Hollow stand down after the pair had chosen to finally unleash their power? That was yet to be seen.

How to use technique: Focus the body’s energy and release during a step. This technique can be broken off in the middle of its use. Unlike other step techniques, this one can be repeated while in the middle of the previous one, allowing someone to change their movement course in mid movement.

Technique Description and Effects:
This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

Technique Description and Affects: Persons with high spiritual pressure are known for their large reiatsu pools, but they also tend to be known for their weaker reiatsu strength, which means they have a ton of reiatsu, but not that much to actually use it on. This techniques entire purpose is to take that sheer volume of reiatsu and turn it into a viable, dangerous weapon.

The user builds up a pool of reiatsu internally, increasing the internal pressure, before channeling it towards a set of limbs, such as the hands or feet, discharging it as a weapon. By doing this the user can harness their reiatsu into physical striking power, allowing them to match a physically stronger opponent blow for blow, or possibly even beat them. Upon initial use the user pays 75 reiatsu per 100 strength, maxing out at their spiritual pressure, but afterwards the per post upkeep drops to 25 per 100. The amount of force generated can be changed once per post, going down merely drops the upkeep, but going up, the user must pay the initial upkeep as well as an additional 75 reiatsu for every 100 strength they add to the technique.


How to use technique (How is it activated?): Building up internal reiatsu before focusing it on a set of limbs such as hand hands or feet (or other applicable appendage like a tail). Before mastery of this technique only a single limb, such as one hand or foot, may be selected at a given moment, after master is obtained both may be used at once.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc): Besides a fairly large initial cost and a moderate per post upkeep this technique only has one major drawback; reiatsu burns. When using this technique the user is forcing a large amount of reiatsu to be funneled through a relatively small area, so extended use can be dangerous. 1st degree burns begin to form after about 3 posts, 2nd degree after 5, 3rd after 7, and finally after 9 posts the chosen limb becomes borderline useless and the technique can no longer be used in that area. Healing, specifically of the burns, will reset the timer of this technique.

{Visions of Maddening Shadows}Visions of Maddening Shadows is a Fullbring that allows Ailene to gradually warp the minds of those she comes into contact with. Upon releasing her Fullbring, Ailene begins accumulating a secondary resource known as Insanity. By default, Ailene can utilize this Insanity in lieu of reiatsu for covering costs applicable to her release. When using Insanity to refresh her release duration, the cost is doubled. Every post, 2% Insanity is generated; this is increased to 4% with Level 2. Should Ailene ever generate an amount that causes her pool to exceed its maximum, the extra Insanity is lost. Additionally, when her abilities are cast with Insanity instead of reiatsu, they become empowered. These costs are always the same as the reiatsu cost unless specified otherwise. This pool of Insanity acts like a buffer, always draining before Ailene's reaitsu unless she wills otherwise. If she were to be subject to an effect where reiatsu is lost by abilities other than her own, the amount is always deducted from Insanity first. If Insanity were to be drained, the opponent gains no reiatsu and instead adds an equal amount of Insanity to their pool. Should Ailene drop to 0 reiatsu, she still loses consciousness no matter how much Insanity she has stored up.

Visions of Maddening Whispers does not merely affect Ailene alone. Opponents who face Ailene must keep an eye on their own mental state lest they descend into madness. Each time an opponent or an aspect of their release comes into contact with Ailene's Fullbring or an extension thereof, they gain 2% Insanity; this is increased to 4% with Level 2. The maximum amount of Insanity that they can accrue is equivalent to their maximum reiatsu. Unlike with Ailene, however, this serves only as consequence and can create detrimental effects once they accrue certain thresholds of Insanity. Additionally, as victims are driven further and further into madness, Ailene gains an increase in her passive Insanity generation.

{Marks of Madness}
Manic (10%) - This is the seed that is planted in the victims’ mind, threatening to cast them into the depths of madness. The victim's thoughts become muddled. It becomes harder to focus on the task at hand. Strange sensations such as the feeling of being watched form in the victim’s mind. Battle Focus or Calm Mind of 1 can concentrate past these feelings of paranoia.

Disturbed (20%) - Focusing has become even more difficult now. Very minor auditory and tactile hallucinations occur that can throw people off. They begin hearing soft whispers in their ear, feeling light touches from unknown sources. Battle Focus or Calm Mind of 2 can ignore the whispers and tactile sensations.

Hysterical (40%) - The auditory and tactile hallucinations become more prominent. Whispers become numerous. Thoughts flow slower and ideas arise more seldomly. It is because of this that mental incantations take twice as long to fulfill. Weapon Skills and Battle Analysis decreases by 1 point to a minimum of 1. As madness becomes more severe, Ailene generates additional 1% Insanity; 2% in Level 2. Battle Focus or Calm Mind of 2 can mitigate distractions, allowing them to utilize incantations normally. Battle Focus or Calm Mind 3 negates skill degradation.

Paranoid (60%) - Not only do the whispers become more numerous and disturbing, but visual hallucinations accompany the whispers. Weapon skills and Battle Analysis decrease by 2 points to a minimum of 1. The warping of the mind begins to affect the victim physically. Words become harder to pronounce correctly and mistakes occur often. Both mental and verbal incantations require twice as long to fulfill. The words of others become more difficult to discern as well, riddled with mistakes and garbled noises. Finally, Ailene generates additional 2% Insanity; 4% in Level 2. Battle Focus or Calm Mind of 3 can mitigate distractions, allowing them to utilize incantations normally. Weapon & Battle Analysis skill degradation is reduced by 1 point. Battle Focus or Calm Mind of 4 or Lack of Fear of 3 negates skill degradation.

Driven Mad (90%) - At the absolute peak of insanity, the victim is driven to insanity. The whispers become so severe that they are almost deafening. Visual hallucinations become more severe, taking the form of fears and other disturbing imagery. Weapon Skills and Battle Analysis decrease by 3 points to a minimum of 0. Words and thoughts have become garbled, incoherent sounds. Both mental and verbal incantations require three times as long to fulfill. The words of others have become incoherent babbles and eldritch sounds at this point making it impossible to verbally understand others. Finally, Ailene generates additional 3% Insanity; 6% in Level 2. Those driven to Madness can only mitigate the effects partially as long as they have a 4 in two of the following skills: Lack of Fear, Calm Mind or Battle Focus. Victims who are so resolute reduce their skill points by 2 points to a minimum of 1 though they still suffer triple incantation length.

Visions of Maddening Shadows also gives Ailene access to limited shadow magicks that only become more robust upon activating Level 2. Ailene gets access to an ability known as Void Bolt. This is a bolt of concentrated shadow magic, twice the size of a bala, but moving at a speed of 600; 1000 in Level Two. Void Bolt scales off of Ailene's OS and Ailene can spend anywhere from 50 to 200 reiatsu; Ailene receives an amount of Insanity equal to the amount of reiatsu spent; 2x in Level 2. If spending Insanity, Ailene may pay the Insanity cost a second time to detonate Void Bolt in a 10 ft radius. When cast with Insanity, Void Bolt gives Insanity equal to ½ the amount spent to whatever target it hits; equal to the amount spent in Level 2.

[Alacrán]

Alacrán was a little surprised to watch the human dodge out of the way of his Cero. He didn't see that she hadn't completely dodged the Cero but regardless of that he was impressed by her speed and ability to predict where he'd be. It seems this girl has experience fighting Hollows to be able to quickly identify and comprehend his Ulcera as well as how he was using it. Seems he'd have to be a lot more careful moving forward so he didn't end up being too predictable. Still it seemed, at least in his mind that he had the girl on the defensive corner in this fight but he'd quickly get a taste of what that'd earn him.

He's more than a little pissed off at feeling the girl's added weight on his back but before he could try and shake or throw her off he felt the impact of her punch as was shocked to feel the tremendous amount of pain that it sent through his body, visibly cracking and breaking through his already weakened armor. He let's out an ear splintering screech of back as he rolls around to try and shake her off but she was already moving to join her dragon.

Alacrán was still reeling in pain to notice what they were saying or doing until he felt their powers combining and growing. He growls as he stares at the girl's new dagger and imagined it had something to do with the dragon's disappearance but he couldn't really care. He was too angry and pissed at having his carapace being punched through as much as it had been, having never dealt with someone damage it to that degree before. His growling starts to grow more guttural and intense as his energy begins to rise and fluctuate before growing in size as he focused on raising his energy until he was almost certain that it'd be on par with hers or at least enough to make a difference for him.

With his energy now charged he begin charging something else, four red orbs, two at the ends of his limbs and one between his mandibles and the tip of his tail. He then releases the four Bala all together to keep her on her toes and distracted so he could get closer. However instead of using his Ulcera to appear right next to her or behind her, he stepped into in and took off to flying above her, emerging from the valley of screams several feet above her before he dive bombed straight towards her, swinging one limb at her first before he pulls his body to be horizontally parallel to hers as he tried to stab her in the leg with stinger and attempt to inject his venom in her.

He quickly pulls his stinger away and then spins in the air and slaps her away with his tail, only using half his remaining strength to do so as he was beginning to feel rather tired out already, not aware of how much this fight had already costed him in the first place. He also didn't want to find out what that dagger could do in the moment so for the time being he'd let her deal with the consequences of being injected with his Veneno de Hombre Muerto.

Technique Description and Effects:
Alacrán has learned how to actively use the poisonous reiatsu of a Hollow and is able to make it effective not just against Quincy but all beings. At it's weakest and base form, a target injected with this venom will begin continuously losing 10% Strength for 5 posts. At class 4, the venom now also begins to drain the targets Speed in the same manner as Strength, the venom now working to cause a full body paralysis. The amount the target lose increases to 20%. At class 2, the venom now eats at the Reiatsu of the afflicted target, on top of Strength and Speed, literally eating away at their soul as Alacrán's reiatsu consumes the target. The amount the target loses increases to 30% The class of this technique is equal to Alacrán's Class (min 1).

Poison Resist: Should the target possess this skill then the venom will affect them as such. A 1 means the amount of Strength, Speed, and Reiatsu lost is reduced by 25%. A 2 means the venom loss is reduced by 50%. A 3 means the venom loss is reduced by 75%. A 4 means the venom loss is reduced by 75%, only affects Strength, and lasts for 2 posts.

How to use technique (How is it activated):
Pay the reiatsu cost. The user must land a hit and inject the venom into his targets, either with the stinger on the end of his tail or through a cut with his scythe-like limbs or mandibles.

[Ailene Haschiro]

As she stood atop the roofing, dagger in hand, Ailene glared down at Alacrán. This Hollow had certainly put the girl through her paces. It marked yet another time that the pair were accosted by a Hollow who was looking for its next meal. None of the ones before were quite like this one, however. She had picked up quite a few tricks since her teaming with Yui and even despite that... Alacrán still posed a significant threat. Thankfully, Ailene had been able to deliver quite the devastating blow not more than a few moments ago. The Hollow had been left writhing in agony from her spiritually enforced strike. The Fullbringer took a deep breath, attempting to calm herself.

The hiss that emerged from the Hollow was to be expected. Ailene knew better than most that they didn't like it when their food bit back. As her eyes remained trained on Alacrán, Ailene allowed herself to open up. As the Hollow channeled his reiatsu, his spiritual pressure growing, the Fullbringer was keenly aware of it. She could sense his presnce even more how. The Hollow reiryoku that bled from his form. Ailene narrowed her eyes. A voice roared to life suddenly. "Does that bastard really think he can still win?! We'll rip him to pieces!" Mélusine's thirst for blood was downright palpable. Ailene bit her lip for a moment as she felt the surge of twisted emotions rush through her. 

Unfortunately, Ailene wouldn't have much time to dwell on it. Soon she'd feel another surge of reiatsu emerge from the Hollow. Her instincts, honed from centuries of prior combat experience as an Arrancar, roared to life. She had a bad feeling about this. Having rarely let her down, Ailene decided to act in accordance. She focused on the tiles just before her, focusing her reiatsu upon them. Through the use of Soul Dominance, the tiles began to rattle and quickly collected before the Fullbringer. Within a few moments, a barrier of brick and stone about half of her size was building itself up. Ailene, using her natural alacrity, quickly lowered pressed herself against the makeshift shield as the red orbs of reiatsu finished forming. She had shown that she could narrowly evade a Cero so it made sense that Alacrán would opt for something a bit faster.

Less than a moment later, the orbs of reiatsu soared through the air. Four them violently colliding against the house or the makeshift wall. While the house would take some structural damage, the wall would remain largely intact, reinforced by Ailene's own spiritual energies. She clicked her tongue as she braced herself. "Bala... how clever." Mélusine was enraged. Her voice echoed within Ailene's mind. "How dare he?!" There was nothing but vitriol in the familiar's voice. "Ailene! Assure me that I will be able to devour his heart!" Ailene decided to ignore it for now. Carefully lifting her head, the girl peeked over the barrier of her making. Her eyes widened though, her lip quivering, as she could no longer see Alacrán. 

Losing track of the Hollow amidst the taking cover and listening to Mélusine's ramblings, she was on high alert again. She quickly rose her feet, scanning the environment. The cover of night made it difficult to see and she couldn't really sense Alacrán. She could only grit her teeth as her eyes kept scanning the perimeter. "Where the hell is he?!" Unfortunately, Ailene would soon have her answer. A shadow above her grew thicker and she would soon be met with a stinger piercing her leg. She gritted her teeth, but it wasn't enough. A pained cry erupted from the girl. "AAAHH!" As the stinger withdrew, Ailene wouldn't waste any time. She'd move, at a speed of 648, just as the pain had really hit her, easily dodging Alacrán's follow up thanks to Movement.

Darting to the side, she quickly initiated another step in the middle of her sidestep, moving in an L shape by the end of it. Just as she slid to a stop, facing Alacrán, her breathing became heavier. Her muscles ached. They were cramping. Something felt terribly wrong! She could barely stand, finding herself to be just a little heavier. "J- Just what did that s- stinger do to... me" She had underestimated this Hollow. It seems that he had a trick up his sleeve after all. "Ailene! Focus! I don't know what he did, but it doesn't matter. Blast him!" The Fullbringer truly didn't need to be told twice. At this juncture, it felt like she was going to keel over. The girl had to act quickly less both she and Mélusine were to be killed!

Ailene would quickly gather her reiryoku. A surge of purple reiryoku gathered within her and began to pool within the palm of her hand. Her eyes remained trained on Alacrán. She needed to defend herself! A purple orb formed within her hand. It was twice the size of a bala! At the same time, Mélusine had begun her own efforts. Linking both of their conjoined spiritual energies, she began to kick Ailene's soul into overdrive. Ailene's reiryoku suddenly exploded outward. Parts of her body began to glow, filling to the brim with her purple reiryoku. Her spiritual presence could be felt in the wind. It was far more potent and devastating than anything that she could muster normally. This ability was simply known as Gate.

The purple orb within her palm adapted in response to her growing spirit. Without a moment's hesitation, Ailene would unleash the orb upon Alacrán. Firing it not unlike a Cero, the orb of reaitsu would quickly soar towards Alacrán at a speed of 600. If it hit the Hollow, it would certainly leave quite a scratch as it was a concentrated orb of pure shadow energy. While it was not a searing orb like a Cero, it was still a bit of volatile reiatsu. Whether it hit or not didn't really matter at the moment. She could unleash more, and future ones would be far more devastating. A small smirk arose on Ailene's lips. Perhaps Mélusine was having more of an effect on Ailene than she had once though.

{Willpower: Gate}Technique Name: Willpower

Technique Description and Effects: Willpower is a technique that is available to most who dwell within the human world, and has a variety of effects that make it a versatile and useful technique. This technique is one that manifests the willpower of the physical body. It essentially causes spirit and physical body to "become one" and merge their powers. There are two uses of it. The first is a non battle use, and is the main use. The main use is simply to know the technique, which slows the aging process of the body and allows the possessor to live easily as long as a Shinigami or Arrancar. This is a will-based technique, however, and thus, if will vanishes, so does its power to stop the aging, which quickly catches up. Mod Souls and Bounts have a minor version of this part at all times, which allows them to age slowly at all times; humans and Quincy learn this version at Class 1.

Willpower has three stages that are associated with it, as listed below:

[Stage One: Cog]: By giving up 100 Reiatsu, the user pumps an explosive amount of intimidating power out. Anyone of inferior class will immediately be intimidated. This does not mean they won't fight. Those who are weak enough in comparison will feel a huge, exaggerated surge of power that will probably make them surrender. This can also be used on Hollows to actually scare them away instead of having to kill them. This does NOT work on animals! It only works on "intelligent beings." This means unless it has a similar to human intelligence, this wont' work on an animal.

[Stage Two: Pulley]: This causes physical output to increase based on draining spiritual energy. It costs 400 reiatsu. When activated, it increases physical stats by 50%. However, it causes the skin to begin to blister from pumped out Reiatsu. Essentially, skin begins to burn. It's a quick burn. Within 5 posts, burning will start to become quite serious. On top of that, statistic gain is lost by the post, starting after the second post of this being active. After that time, 10% of the gain is lost every post. It can only be restored by sacrificing 150 Reiatsu per 10%.

[Stage Three: Gate]: This has no initial cost. Reiatsu strength and Spiritual pressure (but NOT Reiatsu amount) both double. From there, reiatsu output goes up, meaning that costs are also doubled for everything. On top of that, 100 reiatsu is lost per post until this is deactivated.

Drawback: See each individual stage. Atop that, when Willpower is learned, it comes with all three stages, but costs double the TTP to learn. Humans, Mod Souls, Quincy, and Bounts only

Alacrán was also finding himself to be quite winded and tired except not for the same reasons as Ailene, who was having to deal with his venom now, but merely because he was starting to feel so damn tired. However, it seemed he wouldn't be allowed a moment to gather his breath as he felt the young woman gathering her reiryoku and watched as the purple reiryoku gathered in her hands. He also noticed how her spiritual energy seemed to almost explode.

However before he could react or put together a thought on this, she launched the rather sizeable ball of energy at him and before he could even try and open another Ulcera to step into so he could dodge the attack, the bolt of shadow magick cracks his carapace and even damages his wings a bit, causing him an immense wave of pain to be sent through his nerves. His muscles clench up and tighten, leaving him frozen in place for a moment as he tries to deal with the pain and damage he's sustained. He finally manages to recover and pull through the pain but it would be clearly obvious to Ailene that just that one bolt had done a considerable amount of damage.

Alacrán was also very much aware of this and between the bolt and her sudden rise in spiritual energies, he had a feeling he wouldn't be standing in this fight much longer if he continued to try and assault her on a physical level. His next move probably wouldn't have come as a surprise to the Fullbringer but the direction he goes with it most likely would come as a surprise and unforeseen by the duo as Alacrán sidesteps to his right, sending himself flying towards some of the buildings as he goes crashing through them, doing his best to ignore the pain from his armor.

Once he was inside the buildings, he pulled the brakes and then opened a tear in front of him as he stepped into the Valley of Screams, sending himself through several more buildings without crashing through them. He waits until he's passed through several more buildings and then finds himself inside another when he decides to exit, emerging inside his selected building as carefully as he could so as to not give away his location as he enters the space.

Hoping that he's lost her for just a moment and allowing himself to actually catch his breath, Alacrán relaxes just enough to focus on himself, surveying how bad the damage actually was. His tail was covered in small lacerations from the initial first strike and he could feel that there were considerably large cracks splintering along the back of his carapace as well as the tip of his wings even being damaged by the orb. Alacrán grimaces as he takes this all in and takes in a deep breath to re-center himself and glance out one of the windows of the buildings to see if he could spot the girl.

His plan from here on out was simple, even if it was going to cost him. Once he found where she was and he was certain that she had no clue where he was hiding and hadn't spotted him, he kicks himself back into action, sending himself through the building with another Ulcera and emerging either right before he reaches her and swings down vertically with one of his front limbs, aiming for something vital or important, as he tries to send her straight into the ground with all his might. Like he expected, his bladed limb doesn't end up cutting into her at all just like before however with her reiryoku as powerful as it was now, his limb wasn't left with just small lacerations but instead he finds it being completely covered in large gashes all the way across the limb and even a bit into the part of his body that connects to it.

The pain being as intense as it was, he couldn't stop or prevent himself from screeching in pain and agony as he reels back. The limb hangs useless from it's socket as he steps back and looks down at it with a bit of shock and frustration. How many times would he be put in this kind of situation? To have so much physical strength and yet not able to do a single damn thing against his foes because of their difference in spiritual power. It truly was frustrating. So much so that he simply cast aside his caution and returns his attention to her, stepping closer again and charges two orbs, one at the end of his tail and the other between his mandible as he then fires both Cero at practically point blank range, leaving himself rather exhausted, pissed and open.

As the bolt of shadow soared towards the Hollow, Ailene would soon find that her attack struck true. Crashing into Alacrán's carapace, the bolt of reiatsu certainly had an effect on the Hollow. Ailene watched, with labored breaths, as the Hollow tensed up. He was frozen and Ailene sense that this had done some wonders. The woman felt a sense of satisfaction wash over her. It did not originate solely from her, however. It was a sadistic rush that could truly only originate from one entity. "Just look at him. He's nothing against our combined might! Now... let's finish this, Ailene." The Fullbringer gave a slight nod. Under normal circumstances, she wouldn't aim to end things, but this was entirely different. This Hollow struck at her first. She had the right to defend herself!

Unfortunately, Alacrán recovered shortly after and made a daring retreat. The Hollow zipped away and flew towards a building. A few moments later, the Hollow would crash through the wall, leaving a large gaping hole in his wake. Ailene's eyes widened. "Damn it! That's another house off the market!" She was a little miffed to say the least. With her priorities suddenly shifted, Mélusine would roar at Ailene. "Idiot! Now's not the time to think about that. Let's chase after him!" Ailene sighed and groaned. "Fine. Let-" Taking a single step, she felt strange. Her muscles... were cramping up. The weakening of her muscles left her falling forward onto the tiles of the roof. She grits her teeth, groaning softly.

She did what she could to move. Nothing was responding. Her breathing quickened from the sudden rush of anxiety. "Ailene! What's going on?!" There was a hint of genuine concern in Mélusine's voice as Ailene continued to try to move anything. Still nothing. Even lifting her head was becoming difficult. The situation had suddenly escalated. Both Ailene and Mélusine alike were somewhat happy with Alacrán's retreat. However long that he would be gone for was yet to be seen, but one thing was for sure. The pair needed to do something and fast! "I can't move a muscle! Could it be... his stinger. Poison?" The sudden deterioration of her physical condition would be a fairly good indicator that this was Alacrán's doing.

Mélusine growled softly. This severe muscle weakness that Ailene was experiencing would put them at a significant disadvantage. She quickly tried to think of something. Anything! They did have one option, but it was incredibly dangerous. It wouldn't take long for the familiar to weigh their options. Anything was better than failing to survive this Hollow attack. As Ailene laid there, helpless, Mélusine began to focus their combined reiryoku. She began to channel their spiritual energy through Ailene's body. The activation of Gate made this surge of reiatsu far more taxing, but such was the cost of an empowered spirit. Mélusine would soon reveal another ability of their impressive willpower. 

This reiryoku that quickly surged through Ailene's body would have a profound effect. Her heartbeat sped up, roaring like an engine. Blood circulated through her body at an alarming rate, nourishing it. The tension in her muscles began to fade. Whereas Gate worked to kick their soul into an empowered state, this ability known as Pulley would do the same to her physical form. There was, of course, a catch to such an ability. Her core body temperature began to rise ever so slightly. Her skin tingled from forcing her body into an enhanced fight or flight response. This would, eventually, destroy her body if kept up for too long. Regardless, it would give her exactly what she needed.

The Fullbringer began to rise to her feet, clenching her fist ever so slightly. "Mélusine, what the hell did you do?" As expected, Ailene would get a rather swift response. "Don't worry about that, right now. Focus on dealing with that bastard if he comes back." Mélusine was right. They had bigger fish to fry. Gripping onto her blade tightly, Ailene scanned her eyes around. The Hollow had practically disappeared, but Ailene knew better. There was no way that he'd be willing to let Ailene go after wounding him like she did. It simply wasn't in a Hollow's nature to allow their prey to get the better of them. He'd be back. She was sure of it. 

Unfortunately, it seemed that Ailene's instincts would be right. Alacrán, having used an Ulcera as usual, would be right on top of the Fullbringer. This could've been quite the beneficial move, but unfortunately, Ailene was on high alert. His form, while imposing, was also quite large and cast a fairly large shadow. Not to mention Ailene was faster by a fair margin. Reaching out to the tiles beneath her and the air around her, Ailene manipulated their souls however small. As Alacrán tried to slam his bladed appendage down upon her, Ailene had already disappeared at a speed of 2400, a small column of light serving as the only indication that she had once stood there. Alacrán had displayed remarkable strength and Ailene was not about to take one of those strikes head on. 

Instead, Ailene opted to create some distance. Sliding along the roof about 20 ft away from Alacrán, Ailene focused her reiryoku once more. The purple orb would materialize in her hand once more. Unlike before, however, this energy would come from an additional reservoir. Albeit indistinguishable from her previous bolt, this one would be far more volatile. Not wasting any time, Ailene allowed this bolt to soar towards Alacrán once more at a speed of 600. If it collided with Alacrán, it would do so in a much different way. Right before potentially impacting the Hollow, Ailene charged her reiryoku and released it within the bolt of shadow magick. In an instant the bolt, once twice the size of a bala, detonated and expanded into a destructive blast with a 10 ft radius.

Whether it worked or not, the detonation would leave its mark on the landscape. A good chunk of the roofing was quickly devoured in the blast. The tiles that remained seemed blackened like charcoal while not actually radiating any heat. If the Hollow was caught in the blast, it was sure to leave its mark as well not to mention a strange sensation. His mind would begin playing tricks on him, feeling as though he were being watched. Alacrán had enough mental fortitude to focus past the strange newfound sensation, but it would be eerie nonetheless. Unfortunately, Ailene would not be finished. As soon as the blast cleared up, Ailene would use another Bringer Light to close in on Alacrán if he was reeling from the pain. Brandishing Mélusine, Ailene would strike fast at a speed of 240, looking to slash at the underside of the Hollows' carapace, looking to send him into another fit of agony. If she landed her mark, Mélusine's voice lit up brightly. "How exquisite a taste! Ailene. Let's cut him into ribbons shall we?" Ailene didn't respond, simply taking short gasping breaths. It seemed that this battle was taking its toll on her more than she wanted to admit.

Technique Description and Effects: Willpower is a technique that is available to most who dwell within the human world, and has a variety of effects that make it a versatile and useful technique. This technique is one that manifests the willpower of the physical body. It essentially causes spirit and physical body to "become one" and merge their powers. There are two uses of it. The first is a non battle use, and is the main use. The main use is simply to know the technique, which slows the aging process of the body and allows the possessor to live easily as long as a Shinigami or Arrancar. This is a will-based technique, however, and thus, if will vanishes, so does its power to stop the aging, which quickly catches up. Mod Souls and Bounts have a minor version of this part at all times, which allows them to age slowly at all times; humans and Quincy learn this version at Class 1.

Willpower has three stages that are associated with it, as listed below:

[Stage One: Cog]: By giving up 100 Reiatsu, the user pumps an explosive amount of intimidating power out. Anyone of inferior class will immediately be intimidated. This does not mean they won't fight. Those who are weak enough in comparison will feel a huge, exaggerated surge of power that will probably make them surrender. This can also be used on Hollows to actually scare them away instead of having to kill them. This does NOT work on animals! It only works on "intelligent beings." This means unless it has a similar to human intelligence, this wont' work on an animal.

[Stage Two: Pulley]: This causes physical output to increase based on draining spiritual energy. It costs 400 reiatsu. When activated, it increases physical stats by 50%. However, it causes the skin to begin to blister from pumped out Reiatsu. Essentially, skin begins to burn. It's a quick burn. Within 5 posts, burning will start to become quite serious. On top of that, statistic gain is lost by the post, starting after the second post of this being active. After that time, 10% of the gain is lost every post. It can only be restored by sacrificing 150 Reiatsu per 10%.

[Stage Three: Gate]: This has no initial cost. Reiatsu strength and Spiritual pressure (but NOT Reiatsu amount) both double. From there, reiatsu output goes up, meaning that costs are also doubled for everything. On top of that, 100 reiatsu is lost per post until this is deactivated.

{Bringer Light}Technique Name: Bringer Light

Technique Description and Effects:
This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

{Void Bolt - 900 OS}Visions of Maddening Shadows also gives Ailene access to limited shadow magicks that only become more robust upon activating Level 2. Ailene gets access to an ability known as Void Bolt. This is a bolt of concentrated shadow magic, twice the size of a bala, but moving at a speed of 600; 1000 in Level Two. Void Bolt scales off of Ailene's OS and Ailene can spend anywhere from 50 to 200 reiatsu; Ailene receives an amount of Insanity equal to the amount of reiatsu spent; 2x in Level 2. If spending Insanity, Ailene may pay the Insanity cost a second time to detonate Void Bolt in a 10 ft radius. When cast with Insanity, Void Bolt gives Insanity equal to ½ the amount spent to whatever target it hits; equal to the amount spent in Level 2.

Primary Fullbring Level One: 3/10

[Alacrán]

It should have been a fairly simple plan to execute, especially with his poison weakening her, it should have been as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. Unfortunately, it seemed that the woman and her dragon had other plans which of course would in turn, throw everything about Alacrán's super simple plan completely off. He had noticed that the woman seemed to be struggling to move and that was what had also prompted him to go for this attack yet once he had stepped out from his Ulcera and slammed his appendage down, mentally preparing himself for the incoming pain, she had managed to predict his attack and completely dodge the swing, slamming his blade into the tiles of the roof, destroying the portion of this roof that Ailene had been standing on.

Shocked by the lack of pain in his bladed arm and not even able to have realized what happened in that split second of her suddenly vanishing, not even catching the little flash of green light that she'd left behind, Alacrán just stares down at the hole in the roof for a moment before sensing the surge in reiryoku and turn just in time to see Ailene launching the bolt at him before it explodes on impact, enveloping his entire body in the blast of shadow magick.

His screech of pain was ear piercing and full of agony as the pain of not just being struck by the blow but by the following detonation as well, leaving him covered in scorch marks. Once again he finds himself paralyzed in place by the overwhelming, nerve-wracking pain that now travels through his entire body, which was beyond batter and marked up by the blast as well as cracks in various spots of his armor where his blood was also starting to leak out. He also noticed the strange feeling or sensation that he was being watched but between the pain, mental fortitude, and his opponent suddenly taking advantage of his pain, he would find himself ignoring it.

Speaking of his opponent, he barely had time to register her suddenly appearing near him and swiping at his exposed underside, her blade cutting through the armor like butter, the additional pain barely registering to him but causing him to howl nonetheless. He needed to stop her from moving around as much as she was and he seemed to have his opportunity to do just that as he notices her short gasping breaths. She was starting to get tired, and while that thought somewhat annoyed and frustrated him as he'd been tired shortly after injecting her with his Veneno it meant that he might still have a chance if he could avoid being hit by those bolts of dark energy.

So while he didn't have to fake the pain, he did exaggerate his reactions a bit, although not by much, as he reeled back from the slice and let out another agonized screech as he then uncurled his tail and flared his wings as he rises off the roof and into the air a bit, curling his legs inward in pain and so she didn't have anything to strike. He then quickly uses his tail to try and wrap it around her, hoping that him lifting into the air would distract her enough from it and if he did manage to catch her with his tail then he'd pull her off her feet before slamming her into roof several times, each time he'd tighten his tail's grip around her, using as much pressure as he could muster to squeeze the air out of her.

As he slams her into the tiles, he'd keep his grip on her as he then raises her back up to peer up at him and spot the red orb charging between his mandibles as he charges a Cero and the proceeds to fire it on her, risking his tail along with it if it meant getting a good solid blow on her with a Cero. Once the Cero was fired, he'd take off into the air, flying several hundred feet up before glaring back down at her followed by him suddenly doing several rolling flips until he finally let's go of her and sends her flying down towards the ground. before he himself begins to drift back down, as even this much movement was starting to become to taxing on him.

Once more, the pair had landed their mark. Having been engulfed by the explosion of darkened reiatsu, Alacrán would undoubtedly be left reeling in agony. Moved by the bloodthirsty nature of her companion, Ailene rushed towards the Hollow to slash at his underbelly. As a deep laceration cut across the underside of his carapace, the spray of blood was pleasing Mélusine. She wanted nothing more than to cut this Hollow to ribbons. They were, after all, formerly of the Espada. Evolved Hollows. They could never let themselves fall into something like this!

Unfortunately, Ailene was beginning to feel the effects of their brawl. Her breathing became far more shallow. Her muscles ached. Her vision became a little blurry. They had to end this soon! That much was becoming abundantly clear to the Fullbringer. Mélusine, meanwhile, enthralled by the prospect of slaying this Hollow did her best to push them forward. "Ailene. Let's give him another taste of our blade!" Before being able to administer any further blows, however, the Hollow rose into air. 

Lashing out her with his tail, Ailene did not have much energy to move. Under normal circumstances, she'd have easily eclipsed Alacrán's speed. The poison that was running through heir veins, however, made her sluggish. As the Hollow's tail wrapped around her waist, Ailene tried to struggle against it. She couldn't pry it away from her waist by even an inch. This Hollow was physically domineering. In a last ditch effort, the Fullbringer instead took her blade and slashed at Alacrán's tail.

Despite the pain she could cause the Hollow with her swipe, she would be in a world of pain if Alacrán could endure it. If he could, Ailene would feel herself brutally slammed into the rooftop. She spat up blood in nearly an instant. Needless to say, Ailene was not the type to take such serious blows. Maybe back as an Arrancar? Now, however? She was a human. She had a physical body. She was as mortal as any man. Her slashes towards Alacrán's tail that wrapped around her gradually became more infrequent, slower, and weaker. Each subsequent slam seemed to drain more and more of her energy.

Mélusine would be furious. Not only with Alacrán, but also with Ailene. Her strength was fading. The spiritual and physical energy she had been providing the Fullbringer suddenly fizzled. The spirit growled briefly. "Oh you fool! All you needed to do was not take too harsh a blow!" With the last of her energy, Ailene chuckled. "Heh... guess I have to put my faith in you again, ey?" A short pause arose between the two of them. "Tch. Alright. Hold on."

Desynchronizing her reiatsu with that of Ailene, Mélusine change back from a blade into her draconian form. Staring Alacrán down, she bore witness to another red orb collecting at the Hollow's mandibles. "A Cero huh?" She snarled for a brief moment before quickly realizing an idea. Already having assumed a size of 7 ft prior, Mélusine simply hovered in the air with a flap of her mighty wings. As the Cero was nearing completion, the spirit prepared herself to use something that the Tercera Espada, Arcadus, had once used against her.

Assuming that the Cero was discharged towards herself and Ailene, she allowed reiatsu to surge through her body. As the familiar sound of the Cero drew closer, Mélusine utilized a Bringer Flash. As an almost green-tinted steam arose from her left arm, she'd bring it crashing against the Cero with a speed of 1350. This seemed foolhardy, practically suicidal, but there would be another light shining in the palm of her talon. As this light came into contact with the Cero, Mélusine would quickly begin to infuse her own reiatsu, twisting it and guiding it.

Using her current momentum, the draconian spirit effectively sought to catapult the Cero back towards Alacrán. Instead of firing it back at his mandibles, however, Mélusine aimed it at the base of his tail where it met his body. Aiming to singe the tail clean off in an attempt to free Ailene, Mélusine would not go on the offensive immediately after. Instead, if her plan was successful, Mélusine would soar towards the falling Ailene in an attempt to catch her and drop her on a nearby building. At the same time, she'd snarl briefly at Alacrán.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): This technique was created in order to counter similar techniques, such as Shunpo Karin and Sonido Garra. My using the same concept as Bringer Light and focusing it on a single limb, one can move that single limb at 5x normal speed, for 50 reiatsu. Unlike the other variations, and just like the original version, Bringer Flash can continually gain speed upon repetitive use. The second use would bring the speed to 7x, at 100 reiatsu. The third use would bring the speed to 9x at 200 reiatsu. After this, each use brings the speed up by 1x as well as doubling the cost each time its speed is increased.

How to use technique (How is it activated?): By manipulating the souls in ones muscle they are able to force it to achieve a higher level of speed than before. This often leaves the users arm emitting green reiatsu like steam.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) The initial cost for this technique is 50, but for each use causes the price to double like the original Bringer Light. Secondly, if constantly used in the same limb the person will begin to experience muscle tearing. If used three times by the same limb the user will feel great pain in that limb as the muscles tear. If used two more times in the same limb the user will loose use in that arm for the remainder of the thread unless healed.

This is a vicious technique used by strong reiatsu beings. This allows the user to grab a hold of reiatsu, cycle the energy through their body, consume it (therefore making it theirs), and then hurl it back. In other words, one can redirect the enemy's reiatsu based attack by catching it and throwing it back either by spin or just catch and throw.

How this works has been stated above. Now, the important thing to recognize is that there are three classes to this technique. The class 3 version can catch reiatsu of any class except class 1+, and redirect it for half cost of the technique. The class 2 version can do the very same, except it layers the user's reiatsu strength on top of the enemy's reiatsu strength for the returned attack. It also uses the full cost. The class 1 version can return any technique regardless of reiatsu strength, and does so with the user's reiatsu strength layered on top of the enemy's. However, it does so for double cost, and does not work on class 0 techniques.

[Alacrán]

Alacrán's mandibles and teeth clench together as Ailene slashed at his tail when he had grappled her with it but he managed to keep his tight hold on her as he then raised her into the air and slammed her into the roof once. As he slammed her into the roof a second time, he let out a rather ear-piercing screech, his fury, rage, and fear overwhelming him now as he then slammed her into the roof a third time and felt her go limp in his tail. He didn't notice the dragon reappearing as he began to charge up his Cero and hold her him front of him and then let it loose, the screech of the cero deafening.

The sudden flash of the draconian spirit appearing between Ailene and the Cero caught Alacrán by surprise that he didn't even have time to register that she had caught the Cero and sent back towards him till he'd felt the searing pain of his tail being damaged and burnt by his own Cero. While it hadn't completely burnt it off, the Cero had damaged it enough that the nerves had been burnt away, causing him to lose feeling in the tail and subsequently had let go of Ailene for Mèlusine to catch.

As she did, it was now that Alacrán finally noticed the dragon and a spike of anger was sent through him as he remembered how she implied that she'd be feasting on him earlier. His mandibles click together rapidly as he then chuckles, "Looks like yer all alone now beast." Despite his words he knew he was at a bit of a disadvantage at this point, with a limb being completely useless and his tail disabled so he'd have to be careful as he wasn't sure exactly how strong the beast was compared to it's master but from what he saw just a moment ago, or at least didn't, it was as fast as the girl had been and at least spiritually strong enough to deflect his Cero so he had to be extra cautious now if he wanted to emerge from this as victorious.

Still he just had to find out if she could withstand it. So he'd send himself charging straight towards her with his foreleg outstretched in front of him, ready to run them right through her. How she reacted to this would tell him how the beast compared to the master. If she dodged then that meant she wasn't as strong as the girl had been and he'd have a better chance at taking her but if she didn't dodge and was prepared to take the strike then that either meant she knew she was stronger enough to withstand his attacks in the same way the girl had and he'd be down another limb. Either that or she thought she could.

He'd soon find out whatever the answer was but what ever it ended up being, he'd still fight till he couldn't. He'd dealt with what he considers to be the stronger of the two so if he couldn't beat the beast then he wouldn't be able to be anything no matter how far he's come. So as soon as his strike connected or she dodged, he'd immediately sidestep into an Ulcera and send himself soaring towards some more buildings, emerging inside a building again to observe the results of his attack and plan accordingly from there.

Mélusine almost seemed to stand guard before her partner. She roared loudly at Alacrán, briefly shaking the tiles beneath her. She was irritated. To be outperformed by a Hollow was a great shame. She would've never allowed this to happen during their time as Septima Espada. She wanted nothing more than to rip Alacrán to bloody pieces. To tear him to shreds. His little remark did little to calm her. "Looks like yer all alone now beast." She shook her head. "The nerve..." 

As the insect Hollow sent himself charging forward to do battle with Mélusine, the dragon focused her reiryoku. Tugging on the souls of the brick tiles that surrounded them, Mélusine used Soul Dominance to rip open a gap. A gap large enough for Ailene's unconscious body to fall through. It would provide at least some cover even though she'd likely be forced to tear into the building beneath her if she walked away from this victorious. As quickly as the rift had formed, so quickly would it close as if nothing had happened. 

There was one benefit to this encounter. Mélusine, while spiritually diminished, was just as fast as her companion. Alacrán had already proven himself to be slow. The draconian spirit would capitalize on this. As the Hollow drew closer, attempting to run her through, Mélusine focused her reiryoku once more. Dissapearing in a familiar flash of green light to deftly avoid the brutal skewer at a speed of 2700, Mélusine aimed to appear at Alacrán's side. From here, she'd be in an opportune position to capitalize on her final technique. It truly was all or nothing.

Between her maw, Mélusine formed a crystal. Jet-black and ever so shiny as obsidian, the dragon formed an impressive 6 ft long blade. Suddenly, her neck gave off a similar glow as steam rose from it. Utilizing Bringer Flash, Mélusine's head swung to the side at an equivalent speed to her previous Bringer Light. The purpose of this attack? To try and tear into the Hollow before he could escape into the Ulcera. If she succeeded, Mélusine simply sought to dig the blade viciously into his midsection. Conversely, if she missed, Mélusine would simply hold on to the blade.

If she succeeded in landing her mark, she'd swiftly let go of the blade, leaving it lodged within Alacrán. Why would she do this? Simple. This obsidian crystal had a special property. Looking to fall towards the ground, the draconian spirit did not care if she crashed into the ground. If she had landed her mark, she'd resonate her reiryoku with that of the obsidian blade. At the top of her lungs, Mélusine roared, "I hope you get torn to shreds, you bastard!" If it remained lodged within Alacrán, he'd be in for a rough suprise even within the Valley of Screams as the blade suddenly detonated.

Separating into hundreds of thousands, if not millions, grains of obsidian, they threatened to deal significant damage to anything around the blade. These countless shards cut like shrapnel. Her goal was to tear Alacrán apart! This maneuver, no matter if successful, would drain much of Mélusine remaining reiatsu. Even if she was left with an intact obsidian blade, the dragon would be in quite a rough spot as she'd be barely fighting off the allure of fatigue threatening to consume her as it did Ailene.

Technique Description and Effects:
This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

This technique hardens the user's reiatsu into an obsidian-like crystal, and it can be molded and shaped into anything as long as it does not exceed the volume of the user's own body. The newly hardened reishi has a durability and piercing strength that depends on the cost of the technique. For every 100 reiatsu the user puts into it, the durability and piercing strength of the technique increases by 250 (ex. a cost of 200 reiatsu gives Form: Obsidian a durability and offensive stat of 500). The user can either hold Form: Obsidian or launch it as a projectile at the same speed as a cero.

Once Form: Obsidian is used, the user has the option to activate it once more. By doing so, he can cause the obsidian to crack into as many pieces as he’d like, anywhere between two uneven pieces to a million little grains. He can cause the obsidian to shatter with a speed of up to 600, spreading out to a maximum distance of 15 meters in every direction. The user can control the speed of the shattering and the distance that the shards travel.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): This technique was created in order to counter similar techniques, such as Shunpo Karin and Sonido Garra. My using the same concept as Bringer Light and focusing it on a single limb, one can move that single limb at 5x normal speed, for 50 reiatsu. Unlike the other variations, and just like the original version, Bringer Flash can continually gain speed upon repetitive use. The second use would bring the speed to 7x, at 100 reiatsu. The third use would bring the speed to 9x at 200 reiatsu. After this, each use brings the speed up by 1x as well as doubling the cost each time its speed is increased.

How to use technique (How is it activated?): By manipulating the souls in ones muscle they are able to force it to achieve a higher level of speed than before. This often leaves the users arm emitting green reiatsu like steam.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) The initial cost for this technique is 50, but for each use causes the price to double like the original Bringer Light. Secondly, if constantly used in the same limb the person will begin to experience muscle tearing. If used three times by the same limb the user will feel great pain in that limb as the muscles tear. If used two more times in the same limb the user will loose use in that arm for the remainder of the thread unless healed.

[Alacrán]

Alacrán let out a rather ear piercing screech of pain as the obsidian blade was stuck into his carapace. Her speed was rather blinding and he hadn't expected her to immediately have a counterattack planned, figuring she would have been too concerned for her master. He continued with his move of leaping into an Ulcera, looking to remove it once he landed in the building. However he wouldn't have that chance as it exploded.

As soon as it did, Alacrán was practically ejected from his Ulcera as he let out another ear piercing screech as he crashed into the ground, writhing in a mass of pain as the shards tore him up on the inside. The blood that poured out from his wounds was quite a lot, so much so that Alacrán was slowly beginning to lose consciousness. He struggles to try and find Mélusine, quickly spotting her still near where he'd just been.

He growls as he tries to push himself up but the movement only causes the shards inside his body to shift around and slice up more of his insides. He growls and coughs up more blood as he then collapses back onto the ground. He growls lowly as he stares up at Mélusine. The power of humans and other races was something he still didn't understand and he'd have to learn more about as he was still to weak to just rely on his own strength and skill.

His mandibles click together in irritation as he then opens up a familiar look tear in space, the shimmering black void of a Garganta. He doesn't spare any other look as he then drags himself through the tear in space and returns to Hueco Mundo to nurse and heal his wounds as well as contemplate yet another defeat at the hands of a being he had considered weaker than himself.

The horrible screech that escaped Alacrán was all that Mélusine hoped for and more. She held quite a grudge against Alacrán and for good reason. She thought herself above Hollows. She believed herself to be an apex predator. To struggle so much against this Hollow... it pained Mélusine. Thankfully it seemed that her plan had worked. She watched the obsidian shards tear through Alacrán mercilessly. Blood pooled from multiple wounds. He was down for the count.

Mélusine stared at the Hollow, her slender serpentine tongue licking across the length of her maw. She had earned herself a meal. As soon as she took a single step forward though, she felt dizzy. Groaning ever so slightly, Mélusine scoffed. "Damn it! Drained myself with that last attack..." Physically, the draconian spirit was in peak condition. This meant very little unfortunately. When Alacrán found the strength to rise, Mélusine was incensed. "He can move even after all that!?" 

It troubled her deeply. To let the hunter turned quarry get away. Alas, she witnessed the opening of a Garganta. As he dragged himself towards the void, Mélusine called out to him. Whether he gave her his attention didn't matter. "Hey Hollow! Next time, don't expect to get away. Your soul will be mine!" She snarled with vitriol. Not having the strength for further combat, the draconian spirit allowed Alacrán to escape with his life. Once the garganta closed, Mélusine moved over to the house where she had left Ailene. 

Using Soul Command to unlock the door effortlessly, the dragon forced her way through the frame. Slithering through the house without a care in the world, Mélusine knocked over tables, appliances, and other household items in her quest to get to the second floor. Searching through the rooms, the dragon would eventually come across the unconscious Ailene who rested on the floor. Mélusine couldn't help, but sigh. Opening her maw, she picked up Ailene tenderly, making sure that her teeth didn't dig into her flesh. 

Another few minutes of knocking over more stuff later and Mélusine was finally back outside. Bathing under the glow of the moon, she began their long trek back to Rēgīna. Tonight, much like Alacrán gave her much to think about. Even though they had come out of this little endeavor on top, Mélusine was disappointed in herself. She had been pushed to the very brink of her power. She had to use everything afforded to her. She didn't even earn a meal out of it. She sighed for a moment. "Damn it... I- No. We have to get stronger Ailene."
