Druidic Mastery: 3*

Strength of Will: 3
Memory: 4*Druidic Mastery: This unique skill holds a vast array of uses, for combat and far beyond that. Adequacy in this skill indicates the user holds a plethora of information and knowledge about the natural world around them, from plant life to local animals and a basic understanding of the typical weapons used to hunt in such areas. Proficiency allows for an expansion of that knowledge base and more atop that, now delving into the ancient knowledge left behind, that of wards, runes, barriers and glyphs that are scattered beneath the earth. Mastery permits the user further information about all stated previously, as well as allowing them to traverse natural environments and terrain with ease, be they a slippery rock surface or a forest filled with nature, the user can move through such areas with the grace and ease of a wild animal. Atop that is showing an understanding between most animals, enough that they are significantly less likely to charge the user or skitter away, but finding enough of an understanding that the user can approach with little fear. Going beyond mastery simply compounds all prior benefits to an inhuman degree, including that of weapon usage to hunt whatever gets in the way - a sharpshooter like no other, allowing the user to become a true master of the wilds.✚ BASIC INFORMATION ✚

Hair Color: Hazelnut Brown{Faceclaim: Solas (Dragon Age)}
Physical Appearance:Elegance in physical form. From the very start, Alexandre has always been one to catch the attention of others with his appearance, even if he does not mean to do so. Cutting an impressively tall and imposing figure across the vast sea of humans, standing at six foot two, he is difficult not to notice. Striding effortlessly across one space to the next, he moves with precision and grace, akin to that of a well-trained dancer wasting as little movement as possible. Of course, with a lithe and relatively toned form, gained from centuries of Quincy training - very few approach him without some small fraction of caution. Regardless of this slim figure he holds, his upper half remains rather broad, tapering down to a far slimmer waist then many would expect upon first glance, and the clear definition in the lower half of his form betrays a man who spent a lot of his life running both away and towards a great many things. But that isn't to say that his movements or bodily form are the only focal point to any that look upon him, far from it in fact. Faintly tanned skin, with freckles dotted atop high cheekbones and across his collarbones that show through in the warmest of months, certainly make him stand out as someone who is not a native of Japan or seemingly anywhere at all. If one watches him work, they may even take notice of long slim figures, that of an artist for certain - a fact he has made a profession out of.
Despite all this, it fails to bring to mention what many see of the Quincy upon first glance. Long deep brown hair that on days of freedom tumble freely and spill down his back much like a waterfall, or when working is tied up in some manner - be it a bun, braids or a simply ponytail - Alexandre is rarely picky as long as it keeps the hair away from his eyes and allows him to work without interruption. A sharp jawline that might almost seem capable of cutting through diamond, surrounded by a similar almost sculpted facial shape, with stormy silver eyes that seem to observe every little detail around them - the occasional flicker of blue or violet in certain lights. The most obvious however, are his ears, unlike the humans around him they do not conform to a rounded shape. Instead they curve ever so slightly upwards into sharp points at the tip, resembling that of many a fantasy story within the modern day about elves, though he is as human as they are almost. These mark him as different from a typical human and have caused many an issue during his lifetime, and plenty of snide remarks as well.
Past this, should someone look beneath the layers of clothing he often hides behind, they would find very few scars to speak of. One faint scar just an inch below his heart, the place he was struck to regain his powers as a Quincy. Beside this, the only other are the many small scars littered across his back like stars, exceedingly faded, the only visual indication of the harsh treatment he was put through in order to become what those people wanted of him and if asked he will refuse to speak of such marks - or change the subject entirely. Save this, the Quincy has no body hair to speak of, save his own hair and eyebrows and actually seems incapable of gaining any, a product of his unique circumstances that culminated in his existence. Though notably, Alexandre has found that even if he shaved his head, his hair does grow back quite quickly. A small relief against the weight of everything else.
His voice, much like his physical form is noted to be rather distinct as well. Carrying an almost melodic cadence whenever he speaks, a pitch that slightly alters itself automatically depending on the language he speaks within. The lightest of which being Japanese, given it has become the primary language he teaches within and uses day to day. While a deeper timbre resonates for other languages, particularly within combative situations given most Quincy's use of German. Regardless of the language or who he is speaking to, Alexandre seems to carry no hint of an accent whatsoever, such things having been lost across his centuries alive due to his focus on trying to blend in rather then stand out. A futile effort at times. In times of highly positive emotion however, it can faintly be heard, joyous moments lined with what was once a clearly prominent French accent that draws upon his roots from childhood. In frustration and anger this shifts to the opposite, no intonation on any particular word, only an eerie level of calm before a brutal level of verbal and sometimes physical destruction is unleashed.
When considering his choices of clothing, Alexandre is as varied as many humans who go through phases of different preferences throughout their lifetimes. Despite not having any particular interest in fashion himself, the veteran Quincy is more than aware of the impact it can make, people often judge based on first impressions and what makes more of a statement then what clothes you adorn yourself with? In keeping with such a philosophy, Alexandre often most simply dresses for whatever kind of situation he is stepping into, or those he suspects he will encounter, always in a wide variety of colours. Be it simple breathable clothing when at home by himself, to the most lavish of fineries befitting nobility when needing to deal with those more influential and equally pompous individuals. Of course there are moments in which he will, usually on a whim, forgo such a careful thought process and dress however he feels like in the moment. This usually depends on the weather, from something as cozy as a hoodie in winter, or leather jackets in the warmer months, but such moments of brashness with his attire are few and far between these days.
There is of course, one exception to his choices of clothing on a daily basis, his Vandenreich uniform. Custom tailored and a pristine white at all times, not because of the pride he feels in wearing it - quite the opposite really - but for the intimidating image it can present to others. Beginning with the overcoat, this is an almost full length double breasted trench-coat that falls to the middle of his thighs before flaring outwards around his lower half. Like everything else, it is a stark pristine white garment, and much like his peers, remains long-sleeved and with a sharp collar. Though notably there is gold detailing around the sleeves, collar and even the buttons themselves that hold such an item together. Over the top of this coat and the rest of his uniform, sits a thick, hooded cloak that he often takes both into colder environments and during stealth missions to better conceal his own identity. This cloak can either fully cover him, or be attached to his left or right side via a clip, folding in a certain way to make it appear as if the cloak was always meant to be used in such a way. Attached to his left wrist, as it typically always is, is Alexandre's Quincy cross - hidden from view unless he should decide to undo the few buttons upon his left sleeve to free it. This is to ensure that even if his uniform is ruined, save for removing his entire left arm, there are very few methods in which he can ever be separated from his cross. Inside the right breast pocket is a secondary chain, holding the Quincy cross that was first gifted to him during childhood, a memory of both good and bad experiences that now acts as his small bow.
Beneath this overcoat holds the rest of his attire, starting with plain white dress pants that wrap about his form comfortably. While these also have pockets, both of these are far smaller, used either just to keep his hands within or improvised items such as lock-picks or even a small weapon like a dagger that he needs to hide from sight at a moment's notice. Moving lower down are the rather traditional, combat boots that a number of Quincy typically wear, black for once - due to how much of a pain in the ass they are to clean otherwise - and stopping just below both of his knees. Should the overcoat be removed, many will find Alexandre's attire far more minimal, a sleeveless white shirt made of the same protective material as the rest of the uniform, and finger-less gloves that remain white as almost everything else is. Most importantly, is what is wrapped about his waist, that being a white belt with gold lining. Lining the back of the belt are eight reinforced leather straps, used to hold eight different Seele Schneider at all times. On his right and left side of the belt, resting on each hip are what look like miniature pouches, yet are more than enough to hold ten Gintō tubes on either side.
Just past his hips upon his overcoat are two deep pockets on either side, sealed by his reiatsu signature to ensure others cannot reach in and grab something in the midst of combat, both of these pockets are used not only to place his hands when waiting around but more importantly - to keep much needed items. Held within are usually any extra items he may need to take into the field, including that of additional Gintō tubes and two extra Seele Schneider (one in each pocket), meant to ensure that even if the worst happens he always has some supplies on his person. Beyond this, while some of his fellow Vandenreich wear hats proudly displaying the symbol of their 'nation' as it were Alexandre has forgone this entirely, the only symbol visible is that on his right breast pocket of his overcoat. A statement made nonetheless for those who look upon the symbol of his current allegiance.
When it comes to accessories, like much of his life what he wears depends greatly upon his current circumstance. Yet within combat, there are a few things that are always present. Within his left ear, right below the very tip, is a singular diamond shaped gold earring. This acts as his spirit fragment and helps to passively draw in reiatsu as he fights. Alongside this is upon his right hand, a simple silver ring etched with faint yet faded blue runes, while this once stored his power as a Sanrei glove would, it is nothing more than a memento now. A trinket of the power he gave up out of anger, though this has not stopped a few people being tricked and assuming he is still capable of such a form should he remove the ring. A useful trick indeed. The last item remains on his person regardless of situation, a sturdy leather cord around his neck and attached, and always concealed beneath his clothing, are two rings made of a mix of old metal and wood almost as old as the Quincy himself is. Wedding rings, though it has been a very long time since he has ever worn one of the pair, he keeps them out of remembrance and a certain level of sentimentality. A fact he cannot change.
Finally when looking to his spiritual signature, this is what seems to separate him from many of his fellow Quincy - the Vandenreich sort anyway. Rather then a variation of the soft blue many are known for, the color of the Quincy some see it as, Alexandre's own is that of a bright and sometimes almost blinding gold. Like the heavens themselves reaching down and forming around him, some have said. To those that seek to sense out his reiatsu, they will find a calming and stable presence, as if nothing could sway him from his task. When released in combat such power seems to soothe, taking on almost dream-like qualities as it lulls both friend and foe alike into a sense of carefree dreaming, a fatal mistake for either. When directed at someone with intent, be it to cause harm, instill fear or otherwise, some have said it feels much like being hunted. Paralyzed with fear from what might happen if they make the wrong move. They are right to fear.✚ PERSONALITY ✚
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Likes:
✚ Language - A great love from an early age, and with a memory as sharp as his remains to be, picking up and maintaining fluency in various languages has not been overly difficult. Fluent in five languages and constantly learning bits of more, this enjoyment spans more than just the spoken word, written and even the symbolic kind are ones he strives to understand. Including but not limited to even the language of the flowers themselves and something as ancient as latin, there is little he will not try.
✚ Strategy - Battle is an inevitable thing, like the pulling tide, everyone will be pulled into some kind of conflict eventually. As much as he dislikes engaging in it, he has learnt for centuries. At first for his own survival and later to simply enjoy the theory behind it. While he does not relish the hunt as some of his fellow Quincy do, the tactics behind such acts of barbarism? He can at least take useful information from what others might see as a simple brawl. Though it should be noted, that since discovering such tactical games like chess, he has become a frequent participant.
✚ Art - A profession and a passion all in one. Through decades spent purely to study, to exploration of varying topics, there is little he finds more solitary enjoyment in. Partaking in art of all kinds and in turn teaching new generations of techniques once since lost to time, is something he has found a great fondness for. Even if some of his students do not quite have the creative mind that he strives to cultivate from them.
✚ Reading - The written word, as flawed as it may be at times, grants interesting and unsought of perspectives that Alexandre has always appreciated greatly. Broadening his own knowledge on a subject is something he will never turn away, and such a simple pleasure of curling up by a warm fire and reading for an evening? Such peaceful pleasures are few and far between for him.
✚ Travelling - Synonymous with his work life as an archaeologist, travelling unlike for many has never been a chore for him, though that might be due to the ease in which he can cross distances so quickly - without needing to fly in a metal deathtrap to get there most of the time. Nevertheless, exploring places he has barely gotten the chance to see, wonders he missed during his formative years? There is nothing better, no matter how much it may tire him these days.
✚ Modern Technology - While some have said he sometimes radiates a man consumed in the past, that does not mean he has forgotten or abandoned the future entirely. Far from it. With decades to adapt, he has grown quite fond of using such technology to make his life and cataloging all he recalls from times long past a million times easier. Not to mention, long distance phone calls are really handy too.
Dislikes:
✚ Murder - Conflict cannot always be avoided, he understands that much. Hollows exist after all, but murdering so fully and towards other beings similar to him? Rarely does he wholly condone such an act. If they are capable of reason, he will - generally speaking - aim to avoid such slaughter. Debilitating or knocking a foe unconscious? Most certainly. But more than that can be testing, even if he knows such things must be done. The world is not black and white after all.
✚ Extremely Spicy Foods - The tingling sensation, pain where there should not be. The whole experience is generally very unpleasant for him, a fate he seeks to avoid no matter where he travels to. New experiences are fine, but to such a level that they hurt for hours afterwards? No thank you.
✚ Early Mornings - Fuck mornings and the idiot that thought of them. Seriously. Cold, damp, not fully dark yet not light out. Who thought such a time of day would be of use to anyone? It isn't. Needless to say, disturbing him too early is likely to get you a very grumpy earful, or an arrow to the face.
✚ Thoughtlessness - Children who do not think before opening their mouths, mostly. A wild variety that he has experiences across lifetimes, some unintentionally so and adorable for it, others doing so purely to get a rise from others. Either way, it draws irritation from him if, after a few gentle reminders the individual does not stop.
✚ Willful Ignorance - Those who blind themselves to one opinion, close-minded and never thinking beyond their self-righteous little bubbles that cause him nothing but sheer frustration. It is one thing to listen to another viewpoint and then decide it isn't for them, but to ignore such things entirely, to not even bother to reach out and do naught but listen? He cannot bear to be around such people who refuse to accept even the slightest bit of potential change.
✚ Snow - The suffocation and blanketing of nature, is something that has always displeased him. Knowing that their exist countries across the globe almost constantly covered in snow saddens him greatly. Beyond that, travelling in such weather is beyond a nightmare and just plain awful. Often halting his plans or making him expend far more energy then he'd like to get everything done. Yuck.
Habits:
✚ Daydreaming - A habit from his youth, hours spend wondering and dreaming of what could be, something that has not left him even well past into adulthood as his lifespan grants him. Often times people have found him simply staring off listlessly into the middle distance and only some rather persistent bothering tends to snap him out of his reprieve and back into the waking world.
✚ Switching Languages - As easily as he masters many forms of speech, they are not always easy to keep every conjunctive and verb straight in the large library that is his mind. This can be most notably seen whenever he displays a strong emotion of some kind, cursing in one language or another, or a sudden joyous note in another. Though he tries to keep such a habit to a minimum as to not confuse people.
✚ Fidgeting w/ Quincy Cross - An anchor, a reminder of what has been lost and a memory of his mother all in one item. One that brings comfort and as such when uneasy or debating a matter internally, he will often fidget with his Quincy Cross back and forth within one hand. Though if in public he will never let such an item into view and keep it tucked within his sleeve.
✚ Overworking - Less a habit more a occupational hazard, juggling life in the world normally and a military filled to the brim with fellow Quincy that both agree and vastly loathe his viewpoints, it is difficult to simply stop. He has passed out on more than one occasion over the years, and typically suffered for it. But with few to stop him and work needed to be done, he cannot cease.
✚ Doodling - A way to keep his hands busy more than anything else, as Alexandre typically keeps a pencil and small notepad on him at all times, purely for such a purpose. A way to distract his mind and body from doing something too drastic, or simply to waste time while he waits for something, soothing random acts of creativity have always helped.
✚ Always Armed - With the ease at which a Quincy Cross can be transported everywhere with him, why wouldn't he to ensure his own survival. While others Quincy tools are sometimes a little more troublesome to transport, he ensures to at least have a small selection of what he would typically use either on his person or very close by at all times. The only exception he makes to this rule is during his sleep, in which his Quincy Cross is kept close by but not directly on his person.
Flaws:
✚ Pride - Forever and always, no matter his age, young and brash or filled with wisdom, he has been prideful. In his actions, in his words, in everything he does. A confidence in his abilities that so often blinds him to what is right in front of him, a front used to keep himself safe and more than anything else - a fact of his very being that ensures he will not back down unless he thinks it best. Some call this arrogance, he calls it knowing when his judgement leads to the right outcome.
✚ Blunt - If frustrated or pushed, rarely does he bother mincing words. Typically he will try to be polite to those and the world around him, but Alexandre has never and will never have a problem speaking his mind if the situation calls for it. No matter the consequences to such actions, why hold back when everyone else seems willing to sit in uncomfortable silence? Not him.
✚ Withdrawn - For all his thoughts about the world, Alexandre at heart is a rather soft spoken man. While able to be professional and seem rather the opposite while working with his students or Quincy alike, he much prefers the quiet of existence to anything massively loud. Often one of the first to leave if dragged to a party of some kind, and rarely one to want to impose on others, he keeps his distance from all but a select few. A number that lessens to even fewer as the centuries tick on by.
✚ Skeptic - Though he has learnt many things over the years and imparted wisdom to many, he remains a critic to many things. Certain laws and judgements made, opinions of others that he isn't so sure of, though at times he does manage to keep his mouth shut about them. Sometimes the Quincy simply cannot help himself in asking questions and in turn, likely irritating whoever else was involved.
✚ Opinionated - Quiet though he may be, should one peak his interest, they will find no end to the topics on which he can discuss. This can, however, border on arrogance from time to time. With a life as long as he has lived, he sees it as only naturally to have gained knowledge and wanting to impart it on those that ask. Even those who don't, ignorant in their ways. Of course, across centuries he has tried to tone this part of himself down with very few positive results.
✚ Temper - A rare sight, but often panic inducing to witness. Alexandre's temper can vary wildly, from a freezing onslaught of clipped words and rigid body language. To boiling flames and actions far quicker than words, of a ruthless man willing to above and beyond deplorable actions in order to achieve what he sets out. Shutting out the world and ensuring his plans are met no matter the cost? Well, what is more terrifying than a man on the warpath with nothing left to lose?
Fears:
✚ Hollow Poisoning - Having experienced this first hand once before, Alexandre has no desire whatsoever to undergo such horrors for a second time. Not the agony or the nightmares that accompany it when infused with such sickening reiatsu. All of it was equally terrible and he has no want of it again, often pitying those that have to suffer through such things as he did until it can be removed.
✚ Dying Alone - The worst possible fate that could ever befall him, rooted in the deep sense of belonging he quietly seeks. There is little he fears more than that end coming to him while by himself. Death has long since stopped being so terrifying, but passing on with no one there? Not even as a comforting presence without words? He cannot imagine many things more horrifying.
✚ Nothingness - Or better put as a fear of the unknown, though this isn't a bother, what is a something more childish. Of the depths, of utterly nothing, something he has tried to picture before, and only made things worse. Some speak of nothing, of small gaps between worlds and the idea outright sends him into quite the internal panic. Never does he want to face something like that.
✚ Loss of Power - While losing his abilities as a Quincy would not burden him to terribly, it is such powers that have granted him the capacity of a massively increased lifespan and to have to begin to age as others do again. To lose the chance of further experiences both bright and terrible, is something he fears greatly. No matter how unlikely a situation such as that occurring may be.
✚ Fear - The worst thing to fear, is fear itself, or so some say. That for Alexandre is not the issue, but the concern that others may become so fearful of him, that he is avoided entirely. A little dose of dread is healthy in his mind, but like anything, too much can cause a massive problem. Quiet though he may mostly be, he tries his best not to intimidate or lose his temper on others too often, lest they turn away from him completely out of terror of what he may unleash.
Goals:
✚ Live in Peace - Having had enough destruction and interruptions in simply living his life as he wishes across centuries, his often most unsuccessful desire is to simply enjoy life without bother. Allowing him to exist and continue as he wants, without being approached by powerful spiritual beings for a variety of increasingly irritating reasons.
✚ Finding his Father - It is not for a want to find the man, to see his kin or have some kind of joyous reunion. But to speak with him. With questions yet to ask, explanations yet to be given to him, he wishes for that much at least before taking his leave of such a man forever.
✚ Preservation - Not of himself, but of others. Of their livelihoods, of those he cares for and of knowledge that across centuries is all the more likely to be lost or forgotten entirely. While such a lofty goal is impossible alone, he has slowly made progress towards some of it over the years. Cataloging and recording through writing selective predominant political parts of his life long since lived that more modern humans consider to be 'history'.
✚ Family - A wistful and near hopeless wish, one he has practically given up on entirely at this point. But buried deep in the depths of his soul it remains, that want to settle somewhere instead of moving from place to place every few decades or so. To have a family all his own, a child even. Stupid, he knows, there are too many that rely on him. But the desire persists nevertheless.
Overall Personality:
A man of all things grey, in every sense of the word. From his eyes to even his morals- there is little Alexandre takes a black or white stance on. Life simply isn't like that, no matter how careful he may be. In centuries he has carved layers and layers of himself to be shown to the world, parts to be hidden away from all but himself, walls placed around his most delicate emotions that show him for what he is. A broken man with too much pride to allow others to bear witness to it, and in spite of everything it works. At the heart of it all, he has grown adept at lying to himself and projecting such a front onto his own form. His expressions and careful reactions to everything presented to him, all of it little but a falsehood with sparks of something real peeking through the cracks every so often. No matter the situation, above all, he works to keep himself safe. Lest he shatter and show those around him the depths of his anguish.
Controlled. This is perhaps, the most often used word when describing Alexandre and his actions on a daily basis. When teaching he is the calm among the storm of chattering voices and anxious children, and when teaching fellow Quincy he applies those same principles. A calmly spoken yet firm hand to guide, never too much of one emotion, be it praise or criticism. With those he works alongside, that tightly-held control remains, be it in following orders or handing them out to ensure success. He is direct but brief in the field. Throughout though in his planning and strategy prior, willing to listen, to understand other perspectives even if he should end up correcting them in the end. He will rarely not at least attempt to hear others out, to understanding their wants before taking action.
Polite. Is another often used, one which stems from his upbringing, taught to act a certain way around those who may judge him. It is in such formal interactions that he displays his childhood the most, the only son of nobility, words to set others at ease and offer false kind words to lure them in - to trust him. This he uses in daily life perhaps too much, when interacting with strangers, he keeps them at a polite distance. A touch more soft spoken but no less curious, seeking information to be collected and stored away, a potential threat or new ally. Either way he ensures he knows all he can before making a judgement call on someone new, no matter how his emotions may tug him in one way or another towards anyone, he does not let that cloud whatever conclusion he may come to.
Calm. Yet another used to describe him, nothing but a simple deception really. If nothing else, in the heat of battle he tries to be, yet when it comes to dealing with people he is more than experienced with such matters. Most he encounters, be they ally, an unknown or even something dangerously close to a friend, see this part of him. A man who considers before he speaks, who attempts to be thoughtful in what ways he can, to offer aid if it should be possible and to show decency to others who have received none. While he has never been the type to wear his heart on his sleeve, not even as a boy, that slightly guarded yet calming nature he possess often has others seek him out. A knowledge of such a fact that he takes rather seriously, a burden of hope from others placed upon him, one he willingly accepts in an attempt to ease the pain of others through calm acceptance while smothering his own.
Protective. Like a wolf seeking a pack to belong to, Alexandre has always been one to shield his own from harm. What little he treasures he keeps as close as they might allow him to be, and rains almighty and everlasting hell upon those that dare seek to incur his wrath. Trust broken is not easily regained by any stretch, and those that snap such a fragile bond will find there is almost no way of coming back from that. His fury often told in cold indifference and short words meant to bite and hurt in the deepest parts of another. He knows how to hurt, how to be cruel when needed and that weight shall be brought upon any that seek to cause him or others suffering of any kind. Second chances while rare to exist, can happen should a new perspective be granted, reasonable a wolf can be - yet brutal in equal measure. Such a thing however, must be persistently striven for should anyone want his good favor once again.
Chaotic. Capable of causing it and stilling the tide in equal measure, there is little to be done when he focuses on something so greatly. Yet even one as aged as he, can let his whims take hold when he feels that urge, and this often leads to others being dragged into such turbulent situations. Free spirited, if given the chance, Alexandre will often let such things unfold as they should. Though this has led to troublesome outcomes on more than one occasion, he does not mind it, a playful spirit that every so often peeks out. One of sarcasm and dry wit, one who might just be a touch smug upon a victory or fueled by a desire to succeed upon witnessing his own failure with a single-mindedness that could be scary to some. Nevertheless what those rare few witness of him, those he might call 'friend' is something just slightly more than the polite facade he presents to the world.
Disciplined. Though he may be pulled away at times, to indulge in his more disorderly tendencies, there is not a moment that he forgets his duty. To his people, the ones he is supposed to be protecting. Unlike some of his fellow Quincy, he sees no differentiation when it comes to those who cannot manipulate reshi as his brethren can. They are all alike more than they know and never will he treat them any differently for it, while others opinions he may pick apart and criticize, he will never judge someone for what they are capable of. Of being a Quincy or not, of deciding to take such a path to join them or not. 'Pure' Quincy in his mind do not exist, they are all much the same, and he will help them regardless of what affinity they may be. Hateful towards him or not. Agreement or not on many a subject, he respects his superiors words enough to follow them, even if he should not always agree. There is always a different path to take. Shades of grey exist everywhere.
Lost. Moments are rare and fleeting, but to grow close to a man such as him, is to carry the burden of witnessing the pain he carries. When all pretenses, lies and masks fall away, so too does the strength he carries in his stance. Leaving behind a soft spoken, emotional and hopeful man that simply wishes better for others and little for himself. Yet broken he remains, tears easily shed now, but to gain such trust. To come to understand the closeness he secretly so desperately seeks from another, to be so completely open requires nothing short of a miracle, and a determination unlike any other to be kind and to care unlike those that have used him only to cast the shadowed remains of his psyche aside. Such depth of emotion is never simply won, after all.
