Greetings. I'll be your test grader for today. So let's get this started from the beginning to the Yamete Kuda-stop. (-3-)
So far, everything seems fine and in order until we get to the matter of the matter of the Bakkoto itself and its general powers. Namely because of the fact that, as far as I know, there has never been a precedent of a Bakkoto being an actual separate familiar as opposed to being a proper weapon / tool. It claims in the race and release information that a Bakkoto has no restriction on the weapon type. Though I do not know for certain on how loose the interpretation is regarding such. I will let a staff deliberate on such.
First and foremost:
Connection, skills, and statblock:
A Bakkoto as I view it is a parasite continues to function off of the life essence of its wielder in order to utilize its abilities. Subsequently, as a result, I do not know if a Bakkoto is capable of doing so if separate from the user a considerable distance. Or if in our site's lore, if there needs to be some level or basis of contact. For as I understand it, the Bakkoto normally when unreleased is an item/object. As a result, I would recommend some level of distance that the Bakkoto can travel away from the user.
My logic is that as the Bakkoto is an object, that the user must be able to actually physically touch said object in order to pay the reiatsu cost in order to reactivate the release, and unlike a Bount's Doll which can remain up indefinitely once released, a Bakkoto subsequently cannot. Where once the post duration is up, it turns back into an object.
Potentially a good technique idea to make for Rogues.
____
Skills: I'd like to see that defined a bit more, and define what a "defense skill" is. Perhaps an example of what you have in mind.
____
Statblock: Based on what I see so far, at Class 1, the Bakkoto gains 1400 stat points worth of stats that are defined, except for its strength which scales with the Rogue's highest offensive stat. Considering the Bakkoto is a separate, sentient, entity, and the Bakkoto itself has a spiritual based power, one that scales off the Rogue's highest OS. Based on what I see. This creature could have a total of 3000 SP, or more, worth in value.
I have a problem with this, mainly because the Bakkoto in question is gaining essential benefits of everything. At least, from my perception. Too much.
"Life Force is determined by Spiritual Pressure (SpPr). For every one point in SpPr, the Rogue gains ten points of LF. This Stat can be spent to strengthen the Rogue's Bakkōtō by converting it into Reiatsu Strength (RS) on a 1:1 ratio. This conversion is permanent for the duration of the Bakkōtō's Release even if you switch between power levels."
If the spiritual power of the Bakkoto's spiritual power winds up scaling based on the Rogue's highest OS, then it leaves this clause up above open to interpretation. Considering that the Bakkoto's RS stat is 0, does this mean that now Life Force as a mechanical stat is less relevant since if you pour 400 into it, it'd only be 400?
I'd say to make the release more balanced...
We follow the basis that Dolls are based off of. Seeing they behave very similar.
The Bakkoto has as many stat points as the wielder does, and is given its own type. As it is a release, it shall be considered immune to cutback, which is fine, but still within rules of clash as is regular.
Perhaps make it so that the Sppr can be 0, as it can use its contract to have Dainn pay for the usage of its spiritual abilities with either Lifeforce or Sppr.
My thought however is that if it is a separate entity, its RS and strength should not both scale off of Daine's highest OS.
Alternatively. If you'd like it's SP to be by class level, I feel as if the general SP should be less.

Clarification: ...
So, as this Bakkoto is a separate, living entity. And it does have a set durability. How would this work persay? Does the Bakkoto feel pain? Is it prone or susceptible to things such as illusions and such as it is a sentient entity in its own right? I'm trying to figure out how damage would respond to Teras, and how it functions as a living thing as opposed to just a release weapon.

This is what I can think of for now, but I'll likely expand upon the rest once we tackle these general things thus far. It's a strange precedent that I'm not so certain I know the best how to tackle.
