-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5'9"/120 lbs.
Physical Description:
Calixam Sol is a somewhat youthful boy standing at 5'9", and weighing in at 120 lbs. The boy's rather lithe in build, though does maintain a bit of a muscular appearance to him should someone look close enough. He's got a rather simplistic nature about his appearance, and tends to take a bit of pride in that. In most cases, Cali takes a rather unassuming appearance when it comes to just his general appearance; if he were to stand out at all, it's likely going to be due to the outfits he tends to wear instead.
Starting with his hair and face, Cali's hair is a dirty blond in color, and is generally kept spiked somewhat upward in a rather unkempt mess. Despite this, it rests fairly plainly, and generally doesn't move all that much as he does. Going down further, Cali's eyes are a bright blue, and rest in perfect contrast with the color of his hair. His skin is fair in color, and his face doesn't have any noticeable or discerning marks or scars across it; all-in-all, it's fairly plain, aside from possibly the color of his eyes generally drawing someone's attention.
Even across the rest of his body, Cali doesn't exactly have too many defining marks or features about him. His body is relatively what one would normally expect, and he's free of most any markings or anything of the sort. Most noticeably, Cali's physique is somewhat muscular in nature, but nothing super defined. Generally, he looks like what one would expect from your average, slightly athletic, run-of-the-mill teenager. Nothing really stands out much at all, and that's exactly how he likes it; should he get scarred or anything of the like, he's going to do everything he can to make sure those markings aren't visible.
Cali's main outfit is one that's likely to draw the majority of attention from others. Starting from the ground up, Cali's shoes are a pair of sneakers that go just passed his ankles, and maintain a varying color palette. His shoes are mostly gray, with a black streak going down both sides and connecting at the middle of the top of his toes. Across the upper part of his foot, a set of red straps rest to help adjust the shoes. The same red strap can be seen down the center of his foot as an aesthetic choice of the shoes.
Cali's choice of pants are generally a pair of dark khaki jeans, held up by a gray leather belt. These pants are generally somewhat tight around Cali as to show that his legs are rather thin, but not tight enough as to restrict his movement in any way. Right above the knee, and as far down as to right above the cuff of these jeans, rests a much lighter fabric that's been sewn over top the jeans, with black buttons sewn in to look as though those are holding the fabric to the jeans. These jeans rest a bit above the end of his shoes, exposing a small bit of skin above his ankles.
Continuing our way up, Calixam generally wears a black tank-top with no key features on it. Overtop this, however, Cali likes to wear his favorite jacket. This jacket is predominantly white in color, with noteworthy variations here and there. Along the outside of the sleeves, a dark khaki stripe is visible. The trim along the bottom of the jacket is red and black in color, as well as on the wrist cuffs. On the wrists, however, this jacket features a checkered pattern of alternating black and red. An upper portion of the jacket also features this same pattern with the same colors. Keeping this jacket zipped closed is a zipper tag in the shame of a stylized "X"; this same tag functioning as the sealed form of Cali's Bakkoto.
As far as accessories go, Cali can be frequently seen with some on his hands, as well as earrings on both ears. On his right hand, Cali wears a plain black glove with a white stripe toward the wrist. On his left, Cali wears a black and white checkered wristband, alongside a set of black and white rings, worn around his index and middle finger, respectively. On his ears, Cali has a simple gray stud on his lobes, as well as two black and white rings pierced into the upper helix of both ears. With these piercings, his outfit is complete.
{Outfit Appearance}
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Personality-
Likes:
֎ Books - Calixam is an avid reader. Generally speaking, he's the type to read practically anything he's able to get his hands on, and for good reason. Reading is one of the fastest ways to knowledge, which generally means a significant increase in potential for almost every field imaginable. Not only that, but Cali also significantly enjoys recreational reading, and could easily spend a day reading nothing but novels if he had the option to do so.
֎ The Human World - Cali is very much an avid fan of the Human World. They enjoy spending as much time in there as they can, and being a member of Squad 13 certainly helps their ability to do so; acting as the guardians of the gates,
֎ Hollows - Calixam has a strong interest in hollows, and those born from hollow reiatsu. He views them as very interesting creatures, and very much admires their lifestyle and generally existence. While not fond of the fact that they require other souls to simply exist, he does very much like the fact that they're prime study targets when looking into habilitation habits for multiple different species; some take a more bestial approach, while others are much more civilized. Naturally this gets certain folk to certain places better than others.
֎ Kind People - A big one for the boy. Kind people are generally those that make the world go round; they're those that look to aid others, and generally avoid benefitting only themselves. Calixam looks up to these kinds of people quite frequently. If it wasn't due to the fact that they can't control their lack of emotion and feeling, they'd very much try to genuinely care for others as much as they possibly could.
֎ Modern Technology - This one is rather simple. For every problem that has ever been raised, modern technology does a phenomenal job of solving it. There's very little that others have had to deal with in recent times that hasn't been easily solved by some simplistic invention of some kind, and Cali absolutely loves this fact. He significantly appreciates the innovation and brains behind each of these solutions to no end.
֎ Melee Combat - When given the option, Cali absolutely prefers to maintain a melee approach to his fights. If he can avoid it, he's going to refrain from using spells and Kido. Unless absolutely necessary, he'll stay focused on keeping up a melee assault, and will do everything in his power in order to try to take the fight to an opponent first and foremost. Especially when considering the strengths behind his swords.
֎ Pets - Cali loves animals! There's very few that he doesn't directly love watching, interacting with, and caring for. He's a huge lover of animals of all kinds, and does what he can to make this fact incredibly known to those that're near him. When given the opportunity, Cali will tend to stop at nothing in order to play with nearby animals just to watch how they live and interact with him.
֎ Sleeping - Calixam is a huge enjoyer of sleep, and just general rest for that matter. Being someone that very much does not like to overexert himself, Cali tends to do what he can in order to get ample amounts of rest at all times. Otherwise, he's just going to find himself tremendously exhausted, and for what? If nothing else, he becomes a serious liability at that point; something he's absolutely not willing to let happen.
֎ Ice Cream - This is another huge one for the boy. Ice cream generally works to keep Cali in a somewhat serene mood, and will generally get him acting positively, even if he doesn't exactly mean it. If nothing else, giving the boy ice cream is generally the best way to bring him as close to happiness as humanly possible, and is definitely a sentiment that he very much appreciates.
֎ Ishikawa Shin - A man Calixam has since looked up to quite a bit. While having only had a few interactions with the man before his untimely demise, Shin serves as the reason as to why Cali made the decision to join Squad 13. Having since been left in the dark quite a bit about his own Squad, the moment Cali finds out Shin has since fallen will likely break his heart.
Dislikes:
֎ Bitter Flavors - A rather simple one for the boy. Simply put, Cali prefers things to be a bit more sweet as opposed to bitter. There's no particular rhyme or reason behind this, it's more just how he prefers things to be.
֎ Unkind People - While certainly something that almost everyone is bound to dislike, Cali has a special distaste toward those that generally don't care toward others. Seeing as he generally struggles to show any semblance of feeling, he very much dislikes the fact that there are those out there that openly disregard the general well-being of others.
֎ Ranged Combat - Much unlike someone would normally expect, Calixam is very much against ranged combat for the most part. He's much rather spend his time directly up in someone's face in the midst of a fight, applying tremendous amounts of melee pressure in order to overwhelm and catch his opponents slipping up. Ranged combat doesn't exactly help with that situation.
֎ Vandenreich - See the dislike above. The Vandenreich deserve a special place in the abyss for the kind of garbage they're prone to doing. Generally speaking, most of them are terrible people. Of course there's probably a few exceptions to the rule, but Calix has absolutely never met those so-called exceptions, and wholeheartedly doesn't think he ever will. These people are the absolute worst.
֎ Zealotry - Zealotry kind of freaks Cali out. To follow someone so blindly like that through some kind of fanaticism genuinely concerns and confuses him. As far as why someone would just kinda does something like this is beyond him, and not something he's willing to get behind in the slightest. To follow someone without questioning anything they do is just absolute madness.
֎ Heat - Cali absolutely hates the heat. He's somewhat heat-sensitive, and as such, doesn't take well to weather that's a bit too hot. Generally, even so much as 75°F is too much for him. He generally prefers to keep things as cool as possible, even at a comfortable 50°. Anything notably hotter than that and he's generally in a state of overheat. Whether this is due to his outfit choice however, is not something he tends to worry about.
֎ Laziness - Calixam is by far not someone that cares for lazy people. Generally he'll do what he can in order to get those people motivated to the best of his ability to prevent that laziness, but won't go severely out of his way in order to get those people up and active. Generally, he'll just sort of not associate with them as best he can. Should he be required to do so, he'll pick up slack after them if need be, but won't be happy about it.
֎ Unnecessary Violence - Calixam is someone that enjoys fighting when it's necessary. Generally speaking, controlled environments in which Cali knows that general wrongdoings could easily be covered are what he enjoys. Out of control situations that could very easily result in him or someone else losing their lives? Not so much. Generally, unnecessary violence is the huge progenitor of situations like this.
֎ Damaged Items - As someone that enjoys forging/crafting/tailoring his own gear, one this he absolutely detests is the damage done to his own stuff during the midst of combat. As something that's genuinely annoying to go through and fix, he'd rather not have to deal with damage done to his own belongings if he can avoid it. That said, he's willing to do what he can to repair gear for others regardless.
֎ Soul Society - Simply put, Calixam is very much against the efforts and endeavors of Soul Society. Seeing as they're heavily militaristic, and Cali's had to deal with of their garbage to know that they're very against what he's striving for. For the most part, he'll generally do little what he can in order to stay away from these folk, save for a few specific exceptions. Considering he's on the run, this is obviously a group of people he's got a reason to avoid.
Flaws:
֎ Apathetic - Calixam is a very apathetic person in almost every way. He's someone who very sincerely struggles with his own emotions, and occasionally feels as though he just doesn't have at at all. At the same time, he's generally somewhat okay at faking the concept, but for the most part, he's relatively indifferent to the outside world, with the exception of a few rare circumstances.
֎ Unstable Body - Calixam's existence is one shrouded in grandiose mystery. One such aspect of this, however, is the very nature of his soul. Being the spiritual remnants of a Shinigami long-since gone, Calixam is not actually spiritually stable enough to function as a being of his own. As such, he is very much at a detriment when doing practically anything.
֎ Drive to Fight - Instead of possessing a large drive for combat, Calixam is actually the exact opposite. While certainly not a pacifist, Calixam does not enjoy fighting, and will do what he can in order to diffuse a situation before resorting to violence. This is also due in part to his struggle to simply maintain a stable existence, constantly under the threat of unravelling.
֎ Managing Time - Calixam actually struggles rather significantly when it comes to managing his own time wisely. For one, he tends to not schedule most anything, and on the off-chance that he actually does, he's generally very hard-pressed to stick to that schedule in most circumstances. The boy is not the best when it comes to preparation and setup unless absolutely necessary.
֎ Getting Sidetracked - Not being the best when it comes to keeping himself on topic, Calixam is someone that struggles immensely with keeping to one specific topic. He's a very 'stream of consciousness' kind of person, and genuinely struggles sometimes to keep himself to one specific topic in a conversation. He'll generally bounce back and forth between a few different points before coming to a close on one specific topic.
Habits:
֎ Talking With His Hands - Calixam is absolutely the type of person to move his hands constantly while he's talking with someone. This isn't really something he's able really control or stop doing unconsciously, and will mostly need to actively stop himself from doing so otherwise. When he gets passionate, this will get a bit more extreme, and will generally result in more hand movements, even if Cali getting passionate doesn't really happen if at all.
֎ Sighs - Cali tends to convey most of his non-verbal attempts at emotion through varying sighs of varying lengths and pitches. Usually they're thrown in during periods of silence as a way to almost break them, but other than that they're usually used in between different points that he's made over the course of a conversation. Other than that, they might be used randomly at practically any point.
֎ Recklessness - Calixam is an incredibly reckless combatant. Simply put, the boy generally tends to focus on a high-energy, oppressive offensive as opposed to keeping himself alive and going. With a parasite for clothes, naturally this is something that would normally be heavily frowned upon, but Calixam just fights that way. Especially when factoring in how he is when looking to protect someone, Cali will sacrifice himself if it means keeping others safe.
֎ No Filter - Considering the boy struggles to understand emotions very well, Calixam generally doesn't have a filter when it comes to anything he says. He's the type of person to simply speak his mind, and doesn't particularly think of consequences because of this. While certainly something that is bound to get him into uncomfortable situations, this isn't necessarily a bad thing.
֎ Sympathy - While not something that comes up often if at all, Cali can occasionally feel something close to that of sympathy toward those he genuinely cares about. Serving more as an exception as opposed to the rule, Calixam can feel genuine sympathy for those closely connected to him, and will generally go out of his way in order to make sure those people are safe.
Fears:
֎ Perishing - For some reason, Calixam has an absolutely astounding fear of his own death; more than he can fathom putting into words. For Calixam to put his life on the line for a cause or for someone else should absolutely speak volumes about how much he actually feels for that individual. For some reason that he can't quite explain, death is something that Calixam feels an astronomical feat toward, as though he'd experienced a particularly brutal death in his past, despite not being able to actually remember anything prior to his arrival in Soul Society.
֎ Losing His Friends - Calixam is someone that detests being alone. As such, he'll do most anything he can in order to keep those he gets along with safe. Or generally anyone, for that matter. He's someone that values a life very heavily, given the previous fear. To lose someone that he cares for and vice versa would be absolutely devastating for the boy, even if he still struggles to feel emotion on a whole.
֎ Dogs - Dogs are utterly horrifying. Their loud barks, their immensely powerful jaw, dogs of almost all variety scare Calixam to no end. The only exception here is smaller dogs, which are still rather loud, but at the very least, he knows he's safe around them. Larger dogs, however? No thank you. Those are far too much for him, given he could easily be snapped like a twig by one of them.
֎ Being Shouted At - As someone that's already not a fan of louder noises as-is, Calixam is far from one to enjoy being shouted at. Generally, this can go one of two ways; either Calixam is going to back down immediately and not want to continue whatever it is he's doing, or he's going to be sent into an aggressive state, likely being followed by violence. It's truly a gamble either way.
֎ Hell - Another aspect that absolutely horrifies Calixam. Being someone who frequently suffers from hell-related nightmares after a particularly nasty encounter with a certain Hason, the thoughts of hell continuously plague Calixam's mind. If he could, he'd absolutely destroy the domain, or at the very least, lock access to it from the outside world. There's no reason as to why denizens of hell should be running around in any of the three worlds.
Goals:
֎ Unite the Three Worlds - Calixam's ultimate goal. The boy wants to bring about a future in which those of every race can stand under one united front. No more war, no more bloodshed. While seemingly impossible, given the disparity between each race, what each race stands for and how they treat the soul in the midst of a fight, that does not mean it's something the aren't striving for. Quite the opposite; he seeks to unify those despite these differences. Whether that means separating himself from the life he currently lives in Seireitei or not is ultimately up for debate, but if that's the path that must be taken, he's far from against doing so. Nothing ties him down to the organization, and very little will actually do so.
Alignment: True Neutral
Overall Personality:
To be summed up simply, Calixam is someone that is rather shy comparatively speaking. He's not the type to talk unless spoken to, and will generally keep himself out of other peoples' businesses and conversations unless necessary to speak. When spoken to, he'll generally be as respectful as possible, but will do what he can in order to keep himself quiet for the most part. When in conjunction with those he knows rather well, Calixam is rather outgoing, and will generally be much more comfortable with speaking his mind and just generally talking with others.
Getting Calixam to open up is a task in and of itself. He's generally not the type of person to generally share his feelings about much of anything, and will work against those trying to pry into his feelings and well-being. In order to get the boy to open up, not prying is naturally the first step. Those that look to force themselves into his life are likely not going to last, and he's going to be prone to calling them out on their shit. Though, those that actually just seek to be nice to the boy will find themselves making a potentially lifelong friend.
Should he open up, getting onto Calixam's good side generally isn't all that difficult. Once he's invested in someone, that's generally that until he's given a reason to just not trust them. He'll already be on good terms with someone should they treat him well, and unless they actively wrong him in some way or another, he generally won't develop a distaste for that person. Should something extreme happen, he's not above just outright developing a level of hatred for someone depending on the situation.
Should someone get onto his good side, Calixam is much more likely to actually care for that person as a whole. He'll be much more likely to go out of his way for them, he'll do what he can in order to make sure their gear is in good condition, and might even be willing to make them something custom in order to benefit them as well. As an artisan, Calixam is absolutely someone that enjoys crafting, forging, and tailoring as a whole. He's by no means opposed to preparing something nice for those that he actually does care for.
Getting onto Calixam's bad side, however, isn't exactly easiest thing to do. Generally speaking, unless you're looking to pry into him in some way or another, blatantly going out of your way to disrespect him or those he cares about, or doing what you can in order to consecutively and consistently harm him, he's not going to dislike you. Should any of these apply though, and his opinion is likely going to start leaning more toward the negative side of things. Enough of all three of these, and it's likely to devolve into full-out hatred.
Should someone lose Calixam's favor, he'll likely begin to return the sentiment and go out of his way in order to inconvenience another. To what extremes this might be, it's hard to say, as this depends on the situation and the person involved. If someone's just an asshole to him, he'll likely start to get a little rude toward them. Should someone go out of their way in order to try to bring about harm to him and those he cares about, well, Calixam might actually be willing to break his pacifistic beliefs in order to get back at that person.
When it comes to things a bit more... intimate regarding those he cares for, Calixam is pretty lacking. He's both aromantic and asexual, and generally isn't one for most romanticisms. He's got nothing against both the concept of love and consummation of that love, but they're simply not for him in the slightest. He's very much okay with others getting involved with those things, but wouldn't get himself caught up with those in a heartbeat. He's got enough trouble dealing with his own emotions, he doesn't need someone else's emotions on top of that.
When it comes to the more extreme side of those he detests, Calixam is someone that's very likely to form enemies and antagonists, if the circumstances hold up. Generally speaking though, this is something that's very hard to pull off. Cali's not the type to go out of his way to form enemies, but should someone stab him in the back or something of the like, he'll remember them for life and will generally look to tear them down at will. Though, while that might be the case, that isn't to say that someone can't get off of his shit-list.

-Powers-
Fighting Style:
Quite the contrary to what most people might expect from someone as scrawny as he is, Calixam is actually a melee combatant first and foremost. Before all else, he's the kind of fighter that enjoys getting up close and personal with his opponents, and will actively seek to dish out fierce strikes with his personally-forged weapons. While definitely not the strongest or the fastest, Calixam is a fighter that will do what he can in order to keep up with quite a number of opponents, and will do everything in his power to make sure he doesn't end up falling behind.
Upon entering a fight, Calixam is going to summon his weapons 100% of the time. Naturally he's not the type to fight without a weapon, and this will take precedent before any other offensive option he makes. Generally he'll open by summoning his weapons and activating his Bakkoto in the earlier stages, as to start to give himself some combative capability. Considering his Bakkoto serves as a way to keep him alive, interestingly enough, its uses during a fight are relatively invaluable and are something he's going to capitalize.
Upon actually engaging his opponents, Calixam is a fighter that will generally look to focus down his opponents with quick reflexes, and numerous quickened strikes. He's the type of person to blitz someone upon seeing the opportunity, and will generally do what he can to keep someone engaged in melee combat. Sidesteps are a favorite of his, and when he knows an attack is coming his way, he'll look to step to the side and effectively "dance" around his opponent in order to keep himself safe, and position himself to better strike down his foes.
When at the advantage, Calixam will generally do what he can in order to keep up the assault, and keep pressing his foes into a corner to the best of his ability. This means fast, calculated attacks, well-aimed blows to critical points, and aims to cripple his foes. Generally speaking, he'll go on an all-out offensive, and do very little to keep up his defenses. After all, the greatest defense, is an overwhelming and absolute offense. Before anything else, Calixam is more than willing to sacrifice his own well-being in order to strike down his foes.
When at the disadvantage, Calixam will do what he can in order to put some space in between himself and his foes. He'll take a step back to rethink his moves, fight defensively, and take up a "bait-and-counter" approach to the fight. If he gets the opportunity to strike down his foes, he'll absolutely take it, but for the time being, his goal is to take advantage of any and every mistake his opponents might end up accidentally making when looking to strike at him. No advantage will be left unturned, and he'll seek to absolutely tear apart those that get too cocky with the momentum they've since gained.
Even though he's more of a melee combatant, Calixam is absolutely not against resorting to using Kido in order to lash back against his foes. While certainly being conservative about the matter, considering his unstable soul causes quite a bit of problems with the casting of Kido, Calixam is still the type to take any advantage he can in a fight, Kido absolutely being one of them if he can. While not the most incredibly skilled at the practice of Kido, Calixam still holds quite an enjoyment over the artform, and will cast wherever he can in order to surprise his foes.
Bakkoto Appearance:
Calixam's Bakkoto, while sealed, simply takes the form of a charm located on the zipper of his jacket. This charm is rather simplistic in nature, maintaining the shape of an "X" in a shiny silver color. Aside from the ability to reflect light, this charm is completely ordinary. While released, however, this charm quickly reveals its true nature as a parasitic Bakkoto. In order to activate his Bakkoto, Cali need only will its manifestation into existence, and focus reiatsu into the Bakkoto's charm form; from there, it will begin to expand outward, centered on the center of the charm.
When manifested, Calixam's Bakkoto takes the shape of a rather simple cloak. The cloak itself is a rather matted leather-esque material, and stretches all the way from his shoulders to his ankles. Down the center of the cloak is a rather large zipper with two tags, one at the neck and another about halfway down. From the lower tag and down, the cloak remains unzipped in order to not limit leg movement. On the top of the cloak rests a chain connecting both parts of the cloak, as well as standard drawstrings like those normally found on most hoodies. Underneath the cloak, Calixam sports a pair of black pants, sneakers, and gloves as to cover up everything underneath.
{Bakkoto Appearance}
Bakkoto Overall Ability:
Cali's Bakkoto is one that heavily revolves around the concept of the void. Unending, all-consuming darkness; Oblivion manipulation. Through his Bakkoto, Calixam is able to make use of this raw darkness for a number of different applications. Upon activating any stage of his Bakkoto, Calixam is immediately required to keep track of a new resource; Primal Oblivion. This resource is exactly what the name implies; concentrated “oblivion”; Void energy. Depending on his current Class, a certain amount of Primal Oblivion will be given to make use of; this number does not change based on the Class of his Bakkoto, but instead just his personal Class. What does change, however, is the cost of the uses of Primal Oblivion. Primal Oblivion does not function like your standard resource; it is not spent, but it is instead temporarily allocated when in use. At Class 7, Calixam is granted two Primal Oblivion. At Class 6, this increases to three. Class 5 is four, Class 4 is five, Class 3 is six, Class 2 is seven, Class 1 is eight, and Class 0 is ten. Reallocating Primal Oblivion is free, but can only be done once per post, at the start of said post.
Through his release, Calixam is able to weaponize and shape raw void energy. The exact applications of this are listed throughout his Bakkoto’s levels. This Void Energy takes on the appearance of space; an all-expansive black covering the areas manipulated, while possessing a starry, somewhat glittery internal appearance, akin to that of stars. Though debatably beautiful, being struck by this force of oblivion is naturally not going to be a very pleasant experience. Upon being struck, those that fall victim to Calixam’s abilities will find that they’re quickly fading into nothingness, as his Bakkoto feeds on the very fabric of their existence. Much like those suffering from wielding a Bakkoto, those that Cali strike are forced to keep track of a pseudo-health system simply known as Stability.
Those afflicted have an amount of Stability equivalent to their Class; Class 0 has 4,000, Class 1 has 2,000, Class 2 has 1,800, Class 3 has 1,600, Class 4 has 1,400, Class 5 has 1,200, Class 6 has 1,000, Class 7 has 800, and Class 8 has 400. Should this number fade to 0, those in question will also fade from existence, completely erased from all known worlds, much like that of those struck dead by Quincy but through a much more painful, much more awful process. Unless otherwise specified, Calixam’s void-imbued attacks, when landed, will force a loss of 50 Stability with each strike.
Much like his Bakkoto Levels, Calixam can choose to allocate Primal Oblivion into his Overall Ability. Doing so will increase the amount of Stability lost with each strike from a Void-imbued attack. Instead of just dealing 50 Stability, each Primal Oblivion invested into his Overall Ability will force another 50 Stability to be subtracted. Naturally, though, as one would expect, there are certainly ways for others to deal with this. Namely, instead of directly allowing their entire being to fade from existence, they can instead choose to prolong the inevitable and suffer from cuts elsewhere. Namely, through SP and Reiatsu, as well as Life Force for Rogues.
Should someone choose to sacrifice through other means, they’re given the option to give up an amount of SP after type, Reiatsu, or Life Force based on the amount of Stability they would’ve normally lost. SP is lost in a 1:10 ratio (meaning a normal loss of 400 Stability would normally result in a loss of 40 SP), or in a 1:1 ratio for a loss of Reiatsu or Life Force. Naturally, this can’t cut someone down below 25% of their stat after type, and cannot reduce someone to 0 Reiatsu or Life Force; if someone is not able to subtract from these anymore, they’re required to take the damage to Stability. The option to sacrifice SP, Life Force, or Reiatsu takes place before Stability damage; if someone would take a lethal amount of Stability damage, they can still opt into sacking from somewhere else instead. Spending Reiatsu or Life Force instead transfers this into Calixam, up to his maximum in either.
{Bakkoto Levels:}
Level 1 (Class 7): Level One grants Calixam to step between the boundaries between reality and nothingness, and the ability to step through the void. This step functions as a teleportation ability, and allows the rogue to move at high speeds through the Void. While in Level One, Calixam can spend 50 Reiatsu or Life Force in order to teleport via stepping technique at 5x his normal speed. The maximum range on this step is 50 feet. Naturally, this falls under standard clauses regarding the use of step techs. With every Primal Oblivion invested into his Level One, the speed of this stepping technique is increased by one grade (one Primal Oblivion is x6 speed, two is x7, all the way up to ten Primal Oblivion being x15).
Level 2 (Class 6): Level Two grants Calixam the ability to phase through attacks when they're beginning to make contact with him. While this can be kept up indefinitely, it’s incredibly taxing to do so against stronger opponents. While in Level Two, Calixam can opt into spending 200 Reiatsu or Life Force a post in order to phase through attacks, walls, barriers, etc., so long as the objects he’s phasing through has an OS equal to or less than double his own. Investing Primal Oblivion into Level Two increases this threshold; every singular Primal Oblivion invested increases this amount by an extra 10% of Calixam's Offensive Stat, up to three times his Offensive Stat with 10 Primal Oblivion.
Level 3 (Class 5): Level Three grants Calixam the ability to manipulate the aspect of nothingness. At-will, the Rogue is granted the ability to conjure up what is easily akin to that of pure darkness. Unlike darkness, however, light-based abilities have absolutely no effect on this; it’s not darkness, but nothingness itself. Up to 10 Primal Oblivion can be invested into Level Three. With no Primal Oblivion, this manipulation is very basic, and miniscule effects are able to be pulled off. A small bolt of nothingness the size of a small knife can be shaped how he wants and fired off for 50 reiatsu or Life Force, and will only travel at a speed of 400. Every Primal Oblivion invested increases the speed of these bolts by 100, up to a maximum of 1200, and will slightly increase the size of these bolts, roughly equal in size to that of greatswords when 10 Primal Oblivion is invested.
Level 4 (Class 4): Level Four allows Calixam to forcibly damage the Stability of those that have been previously struck by his own abilities. While in Level Four, any attacks that Calixam leaves from Void-imbued attacks will leave behind fragments of nothingness within those struck. These fragments appear as pitch-black daggers, incapable of holding any light and radiating an almost ancestral darkness from them. At any point once per post, these daggers can be forcibly ripped from those embedded with them, striking against Stability with the same amount of Stability damage as the original hits that had applied the strikes dealt; if a first attack deals 100 Stability damage, while the second deals 250, then should both daggers be pulled at the same time, even if 10 Primal Oblivion are currently invested in Cali's Overall Ability, the Stability damage from this property will still be 350 regardless. Pulling these daggers costs 50 Reiatsu or Life Force per dagger, and all daggers must be pulled at once. For every Primal Oblivion currently invested in Level Four, that many daggers will not be removed upon activating this ability, and in turn leaving them to be pulled again.
Level 5 (Class 3): Level Five focuses on granting Calixam an arsenal of weapons that make use of Void Energy. As a bonus to unlocking Level Five at Class 4, Calixam is given the option to craft Void Energy-based weapons, armor, and other items. Outside of that, they're given two more options; for one, they're given the options to imbue already created or purchased items with Void Energy. A number of weapons can be imbued with Void Energy equal to the amount of Primal Oblivion currently invested in Level Five, plus one. This means that one item will always have the option to be imbued, but allowing for more would require investment. When imbued, these weapons will allow for Calixam's Overall Ability to apply to those strikes.
In addition to this, Calixam will have the option to create weapons and items of pure Void Energy. The items that Calixam is able to create are those that are found in Urahara's Shop, as well as those created by Calixam, whether reserved or not. The cost to create these items is equal to one-twentieth of the Ryo cost of these items, and these items are lost upon the end of a thread, until Calixam wills them to disappear, or until they're destroyed. Items that lose their full durability during a thread disappear, and appropriate costs must be paid in order to recreate these. For every Primal Obsidian currently invested in this property, the reiatsu costs for creating items are reduced by 10%, to a maximum of 100% if all 10 Primal Obsidian are invested into Level Five. Created items require Calixam to be able to wield them; items of a Class higher than he's normally able to wield cannot be created.
Level 6 (Class 2): Level Six is one of two outward-effect stages for Calixam's Bakkoto. Level Six is the first in which Calixam begins to exert his control over the void into the world around him. Upon releasing Level Six, an array of Void-imbued weapons similar to his Level Three, Four, and Five will begin to manifest in a seemingly random fashion, forming almost instantly and in an area up to fifty feet in diameter, centered on Calixam. As Calixam moves around, this zone will follow him, with blades lifting themselves out of the ground and vanishing, or plunging themselves into the ground after appearing from nothing as he moves to keep the area the same. To those that Calixam isn't allied with, simply touching these blades will damage someone's Stability, based off of his Overall Ability.
To those that do ally with him, and those that he does consider an ally, they're able to freely pick up and wield these weapons, provided they're of the right class to do so. These weapons will still inflict Stability damage to those struck based off of Calixam's Overall Ability. These weapons cannot exist outside of this 50-foot zone. Without any Primal Oblivion investment, these weapons are all Class 6. For every Primal Oblivion up to 5 invested in this ability, the Class of these weapons increases. From 6-10, the range of this ability increases by an additional 5 feet. This ability costs 100 Reiatsu or Life Force per post to maintain, but can be toggled on and off at will.
Level 7 (Class 1): Level Seven is close to the pinnacle of Calixam's Rogue abilities. Taking from his Level Six with outward manipulation, Calixam is able to create a pocket dimension through his Level Seven. This pocket dimension holds only one thing aside from ethereal darkness; an absolutely massive castle, floating in the nothingness. Upon activating his Level Seven, starting from his feet and expanding outward at a speed of 2,000, everything in an ever-growing 100-foot diameter is immediately teleported into this castle. Those with Class or 3x OS superiority will still be teleported into this Castle, but won't suffer the negatives of being inside this Castle. Unless someone has been Branded by the Void (more on that below), they'll suffer 50 Stability damage every post, increased by Calixam's Overall Ability. Should Calixam be knocked unconscious, killed, or will this stage to end, those not Branded by the Void will be teleported out of the Castle harmlessly. Maintaining this Castle in combat requires 250 Reiatsu or Life Force per post, but when used cinematically, has no reiatsu cost. When used socially, this Level does not damage at all.
Much like originally stated, those that Calixam deem "worthy" are able to be Branded by the Void. Should the party receiving the Brand be willing, Calixam will place his hand on them, location up to the brandee, and leave behind a tattoo in that location. Being Branded takes up a technique slot for those affected (including Calixam, though obtaining Level Seven instantly grants him this technique at Mastered), with the effects of such being listed below. This technique cannot be removed via Amnesia Pills, and must be willed out of the user's Technique List by Calixam himself.
Bakkoto Zero Stage: If Calixam's Level Seven is the creation and existence of this absolutely massive castle, then Zero Stage is the collapse of this castle, and the damning of everyone and everything inside. Upon activating Zero Stage, every being within Calixam's castle will be trapped in there until the resolution of this stage. Teleporting out won't work (without Class Superiority), nor will any means of escape. Over the course of five posts, the castle itself will begin to crumble and collapse in on itself. Post one, supports will begin to crack, and the grounds of the castle will become unstable. Post two, the outer wings of the castle will fall. Post three, the main spire in the center will start to crumble. Post four, this spire will come crashing down, crushing those that weren't already crushed by the falling of the east and west wings. Post five, nothing but rubble remains. In order for Zero Stage to be activated, Calixam needs to be within his pocket dimension via Level Seven, sealing his fate upon the destruction of this castle. Seven days after the collapse of this castle, it will reform, allowing those that had been Branded by the Void to still access it, even if Calixam is dead. While it's in theory possible to survive the collapse of this castle, escape is not so easy. After the destruction of the castle, the ability to simply teleport out will be opened, should someone have a teleportation ability. Without that, they're trapped within this pocket dimension for the next seven days until this castle reforms, at which they can simply leave.
Level 1 (Class 7): Level One grants Calixam to step between the boundaries between reality and nothingness, and the ability to step through the void. This step functions as a teleportation ability, and allows the rogue to move at high speeds through the Void. While in Level One, Calixam can spend 50 Reiatsu or Life Force in order to teleport via stepping technique at 5x his normal speed. The maximum range on this step is 50 feet. {Brand of the Void}
Technique Name: Brand of the Void (Cinematic)
Class: 6
Technique Type: General Spiritual.
Usable By: All characters.
Technique Element: Void.
Technique Description and Effects: A technique uniquely generated by Calixam's release. Upon fulfilling the conditions to brand those of Calixam's choice, those that receive this brand are left with a tattoo. This tattoo not only makes those branded immune to the Stability damage of Calixam's Level Seven Bakkoto Release, but also gives them the option to enter and leave the pocket dimension from his Level Seven at any point they desire.
How to use technique: Spend 50 reiatsu in order to engage teleportation. Otherwise, this technique is passively active.
Technique Drawbacks: This technique can only be removed by Calixam, and cannot be removed through Amnesia Pills. Cinematically, this technique can be used at any point, but requires too much focus to be able to use during combat.
Made By: Calixam Sol
Reserved?: Yes, but can be taught by Calixam and Mastered by others, though cannot be taught by others.

Techniques:
{Shunpo (Proficient)}
Technique Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps)
Class: 7
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.
How to use technique:
Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.

{Call Weapon (Learned)}
Technique Name: Call Weapon
Class: 7
Technique Type: General Spiritual
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Call Weapon is a technique that allows for the simple action of summoning a weapon. Upon taking this technique, the user designates a weapon of their choice to bind to the technique, listed at the beginning of a thread. This can be changed in between threads, but ultimately, this must be listed at the start of any combative thread. After a weapon is bound to the technique, for the cost of 50 reiatsu, the user can then summon this weapon to their hands out of seemingly nowhere, in a flash of sparkles that share a color with the user's reiatsu. This can only be used once per post. At Mastered, the user can bind two weapons at once.
How to use technique:
The user holds out their hands, pays the necessary reiatsu, and then allows their weapon to be teleported into their hand.

{Prologue - Born from Fate}
Our story begins through mortal combat. One century prior to the start of our story, two Shinigami, previously defected, seek to tear each other apart. One, defending his rank, and the other, seeking to challenge. The two clash, and with the following bloodshed, one falls with an explosion of spiritual energy as her Soul Chains are destroyed violently. Fragmented parts of her soul alongside residual Reiatsu are released into the Soul Cycle, while the rest condemned to Hell from this girl’s already fractured spirit. This story follows but one of these paths; not that of her spirit sent to damnation, but that of her better aspects, having since returned home; so begins the story of Calixam Sol.

{Chapter 1 - From Rags to Somewhat Better Rags}
Through rather odd circumstances, Calixam Sol had been brought into the world as he stands now; much like one would expect of a Soul being sent to Soul Society, Calixam simply appeared. Quicker than he likely would’ve liked, the boy was forced to learn of the hardships of the lower districts of the Rukongai. He was forced to learn of poverty; of the struggle of simply getting by to the best of his ability. He knew what he had needed to survive almost instinctively; as if this wasn’t his first time around. In truth, it wasn’t. While sure, he knew such things like his name, basic information about the Rukongai, and even about Soul Society in general, he hadn’t remembered anything regarding that of his past life. All he had known was himself.
As the years slowly began to pass, and life went on for Calixam in the afterlife, the boy slowly began to make a semblance of a name for himself. He began to no longer live in absolute poverty, and slowly grew into a more comfortable life for himself as a smithy’s apprentice within the middle districts of the Rukongai. Having practically found himself an adoptive family at this point, Calixam began to grow rather close to a small group of “teens” around his age. Naturally they were all well over the age they seemed to be, but nonetheless, they still grew as friends. Life had begun to grow quite well for Calixam at this point, unbeknownst of what was to come down the line.
One rather fateful day, Calixam had woken up early to the sound of shouts from those he quickly recognized to be those he cared for. Waking up and rushing out of his small room above the smithy, he quickly stopped to watch in horror as some sort of beast-folk seemed to be tearing their way through the district, and taking quite a number of citizens with them into the Soul Cycle. It seemed like most everyone he’d known had been falling to these animals, and Cali simply wasn’t about to stand for it. Picking up one of his own swords, the blond-haired boy decided that he wasn’t going to let these beasts tear down everything he loved.
Unfortunately, he didn’t stand much of a chance.
Charging one of these beasts, Calixam was quickly thrown straight toward a wall, and almost crippled, were it not for a Shinigami breaking his fall. Being caught and gently lowered to the ground, Calixam looked up toward his savior and quickly took a moment to catch his breath. Unsure of what was going on, Calixam simply sit back and watched as the Shinigami that rescued him took off, and once again went back to aiding other civilians of the Rukongai into safety. Of the group that seemed to persevere there, though, one Shinigami seemed to catch Cali's eye the most; a green-haired man that seemed to be drawing the attention of the Rukon's attackers, while his allies still focused on aiding those nearby.
Over time, more and more Shinigami joined in with this green-haired man in combating against these beasts, eventually fending them off and allowing the rest of the district's civilians to survive. After the battle had finished, Calixam almost immediately found himself approaching the group, absolutely awe-inspired. Reaching out to each of the Shinigami that had just finished saving them, Calixam began to chat the group up, quickly finding out what the Shinigami were all about, and the presence of the Gotei 13. After this interaction, it wasn't long before Calixam was quickly enamored with the concept of joining the Gotei 13, in order to protect the same people he'd grown up with.

{Chapter 2 - Close Only Counts in Hado and Hand Grenades}
Within the coming years, Calixam made haste in applying for Shinō Academy. Within a year or so, he was quickly accepted, and immediately made preparations in joining the academy. Packing his things up, and taking a very minimal amount with him, Calixam made his way into the inner areas of the Seireitei with nothing but blind ambition and a strong head on his shoulders. While not quite ready for what the academy was to hold, Calixam simply began to do what he could in order to mentally prepare himself during the travel into Gotei territory. Nervousness and excitement seemed to surge through the boy rather consistently.
Eventually arriving and getting settled, Calixam quickly began to do what he could in order to make as many friends as he'd been able to. While not the best at communicating with others, Calixam eventually managed to form a small group that he would eventually grow to be rather close with; a group of friends that, unbeknownst to him, would all eventually follow him into his desired Squad. Within time, these friends quickly grew to the closest people in Calixam's life, and would easily hold that title for quite a few years to come.
Year One of his time in the academy went by with a relative breeze. Kido 101 and Zanjutsu 101 were easily Calixam's strong suits, though History 101 did provide quite a point of struggle for the boy. Having never been particularly good at remembering much of anything thus far, he tended to find himself struggling a fair deal during the class, but eventually managed to get by. Toward the end of the first year, Calixam began to learn more about the Seireitei as a whole, and even began to take an interest in the noble families that seemed to control a large majority of the three military branches.
During Year Two, Calixam excelled amongst his peers. Kido 201 was his worst of the three classes, despite still receiving rather high marks. Zanjutsu 201 and Hoho 101 were aced by the boy, putting him in a sort of prodigal position of sorts. Unlike his first year, Calixam spent very little time actually preparing for the end-of-year exam, and still managed to do rather well when that time came around. If nothing else, he was quickly beginning to shape up his future for time in the Gotei 13, and for the better. During this year, he managed to meet one of the main Shinigami responsible for protecting him; Ishikawa Shin. The two began to chat somewhat occasionally, and Calixam quickly grew to look up to the man.
Year Three was another that seemed to fly by for the boy. Both Kido 301 and Zanpakuto 101 were points of struggle for Cali, but he still passed both with fairly okay marks. Hoho 201 and Zanjutsu 301 were once again aced by the boy, and he continued to praise himself for his work in both of these classes. During his third year, Calixam began to take more of a vested interest in the nobility of Seireitei, and even took up a source of income underneath a lesser noble in the Kasumi'Oji household, running errands and delivering messages back and forth between him and some of his contacts, with the occasional parcel delivery.
Year Four was actually a bit of an issue for Calixam, quite unlike what he'd been going through thus far. The boy seemed to struggle with some of the more mid-level Kido, as well as both studies into Zanpakuto Theory and the concepts and applications of Konso. While the combative aspects of life as a Shinigami seemed to come relatively easy for Calixam, a large portion of the deeply intellectual concepts were absolutely not his strong suit. Unfortunately for him, Calixam didn't see to having much free time during this year, as he spent every moment he could out of class studying for the end-of-year exam.
Year Five was ultimately one that Calixam focused on dedicating all of his time toward during the year, much like he'd done a year prior. Purification 201 was a class that simply dragged the boy through hell. During the combative aspects of the class, Calixam did fairly well, but any of the written work or theoretical practices regarding the art? The boy bombed. Even through dedicating all of his time studying, Cali found himself rather lucky to graduating, having only just barely passed the end-of-year exam.
Eventually, the time came for him and his small group, as well as every other academy student to choose their branch, and in turn for him, his Squad as well. Having spent quite a bit of time around Shin over the years where he could, even despite the periods of extended study, Calixam had chosen to serve under Squad 13. A choice that he'd never actually regret; quite the opposite, in fact. He'd soon find that, aside from one unfortunate event, joining Squad 13 was perhaps the best choice he could've made.

{Chapter 3 - From Duty to Despair}
Upon being approved for Squad 13, Calixam immediately got to work. He began taking up any and every mission he could, and focused every opportunity he could into helping his squad out. First and foremost, Squad 13 was his priority. Calixam began to dedicate every moment he could to bettering the squad. In due time, he quickly became a respected member of the squad. During this time, he quickly fell into Shin's favor, and the two became somewhat good friends, and frequently found each other taking up the same missions.
Within due time, both Shin and Cali quickly rose in the ranks of the squad, with Shin moving up to fourth seat, and Calixam being seated just below at fifth seat. Though, even while close friends, the two took very different approaches. While Shin looked to stay in the light of the Squad, acting as a sort of icon for the squad, Cali took the opposite approach; he found himself consistently deep-diving into information regarding the noble families, and dealing with the shady side of Soul Society as a whole. He tended to prefer to take a background approach to everything.
More specifically, Calixam developed what could almost be considered an obsession regarding the Kasumi'Oji. Something seemed... off about the family. He couldn't help but feel like something awful was going on behind the scenes; a suspicion that had been forming since his time in the academy. He'd come to realize that eventually this was going to be truthful, but something that he was looking out for nonetheless. Aside from that, though, both Shin and Cali seemed to get along quite well; almost as though nothing could tackle them.
Unfortunately, this wasn't going to be the case for very long.
During a mentoring mission led by Shin, Cali and a handful of unseated members of Squad 13 began the hunt on a particularly frustrating Hollow for the lower members. After eventually pursuing this hollow and showing what needed to be done in order to deal with a more powerful enemy, the entire group was caught off-guard with the appearance of an Arrancar; someone that Calixam would later have the option to find out as the Tercera Etapa, Arcadus. As the hollow had been mostly dealt with, the group began to panic, when Shin stepped up.
Practically commanding the rest of the group to leave, Calixam was tasked with leading the group to safety, much to his disdain. Having not wanted to leave Shin on his own, Calixam did what he could in order to get the rest of his allies to safety, before immediately trying to return to the scene. By the time he eventually made his way back, he found his closest friend dead, and slowly being consumed by the same half-alive hollow that he'd supposedly taken out earlier. To say that the sight of this devastated Calixam was an understatement.

{Chapter 4 - The First Page of A Brand New Tragedy}
By the time Calixam made his way back to Seireitei, he was not the same person. He'd been effectively traumatized, and without knowing whom was responsible for the death of his friend. Even if he wanted to try, he had no way of getting revenge on that Arrancar that had shown up. As a method of coping, Calixam dived deeper into the Kasumi'Oji conspiracies than he'd ever done before, even going as far as neglect his own health and squad in order to do so. With time, though, he eventually stumbled upon something he wasn't meant to see.
In time, Calixam planned an infiltration attempt against the Kasumi'Oji household. In the dead of night, Calixam used the dark as cover in order to make his way into the Kasumi'Oji Manor. Before he could really get anywhere, though, Calixam was immediately attacked, likely due to trespassing. Though he attempted to hold his own, Calixam was immediately overwhelmed, and immediately used as what was effectively a test subject; simply put, a Bakkoto was forcibly bound to the boy. Given this fact, Calixam was immediately forced to leave his squad, and in turn, Soul Society, losing all connection with not only his Zanpakuto, but everyone he knew and held dear. Currently, Calixam resides in the Human World, starting a new life for himself.
